You learn to trust yourself by failing. I know. It sounds crazy, but it's true. I failed by writing 20 bad novels in my early years, until #21 was pretty good--and sold. That old adage about writing a million bad words is often true. I probably had to write 2 or 3 million bad words.

Slowing Down

Are you struggling to know what to write? Have you tried slowing down? Have you tried not pushing your brain to work on a certain project? If you need to reinvent yourself, you may first need to give yourself space to let go.
