the ykm: The outside world and the internal world ultimately emerge in this creative act that we start making progress and working on what is out there, what is and what ought to be. What if you turn hardship into greatness, anger into serenity, everything changes. Make your life a masterpiece. If problems are the hidden gifts of our consciousness to grow, then first and foremost, of course, we have to actually define what we mean by a problem. So what's a problem and how do we face best? problems in our lives in order for us to act and really make a difference in our lives and for our loved ones. So that's the question first and foremost. What are problems? And then how do we actually face problems? So what's a problem? A problem is simply a gap between what ought to be and what is in other words it is a question and a gap between your internal world what ought to be and really your external world and a problem is really here to close in other words it's a gap that you want to close now this is really helpful if we actually look at it this way Popper's three worlds. So there is the external world, there is the internal world, and the third world is really what we make of the two worlds, the external world and the internal world. And therefore, it becomes so important that we are creators of our lives. In other words, we gotta be Creative and that also means that we have to be very creative in terms of how we think of the problems we face. On one hand, we can think of problems as something good, on the other hand, we can think of problems as something negative. And thirdly, we can think of problems as neutral. Neutral is really the scientific view. It's neither good nor bad. It just it is whereas the positive is a view that is empowering empowering in that you have more positive feelings and more positive feelings will drive action whereas if you have negative feelings then you're much more likely not to do anything in other words you might feel helpless and therefore I think the first and the second point of view. So looking at problems either positively or neutrally is really the most healthy way of looking at it from an educational perspective. Because it allows you to actually take actions, positive actions. Whereas if you are very, very negative, it's really hard to actually do anything because you say, well Everything is basically anything negative, you become cynic, and therefore you start checking out gradually, and therefore it's really a mental effort how we conduct ourselves and really our lives. So always think about it. So there's an external world, there is your internal world, in other words, the way in which you respond to the external world. There is ultimately the third world that's really you trading. And making the best out of the external and the internal world. In other words, you start closing the gap of what ought to be. Let's let's suppose you have a goal and you're not yet there. So there is a gap in between what ought to be. So let's say you want to be a great soccer player, and what is you are right now not a great soccer player. And what do you do? You start working towards it. In other words, you start working towards closing the gap. And that's really what life is. Life is really what you make of it. And as Alan Langer pointed out, if you make the moment matter, you have a life that matters. And we can only make our moments matter. when we take positive actions that empowers us and that we see incremental changes, incremental progress. And that's all about making progress, doing something with our state of mind and being. So what are problems? Problems are simply the gap between our internal and the external. And we wanna make sure that we close the gap, and this requires us doing something about it. For example, if you want to make sure that you get better in writing, you start writing every single day a little bit, and over time you will see that you are going to improve. In other words, you start closing incrementally and That gap, and that's what we have to do. And similarly, if we face problems, we can either look at it from a positive angle and train our minds to think about them as necessary stepping stones for our consciousness to grow, in other words, to improve our lives incrementally. Or we can look at them as horrible events that makes our lives miserable. Or thirdly, we can look at them as neutral, very scientific view of it just is and now it's up to you what we are going to do about it. And as I said, the first view is really Empowering from an educational perspective. In other words, we want to develop from within, which ultimately translates to our outside world. In other words, the outside world and the internal world ultimately emerge in this creative act that we start making progress and working on what is out there. What is and what ought to be and therefore we see incremental changes in our lives in the way we look at our lives and again it takes a mental effort. It's not a given. Every one of us has to train our mind of how we ought to think. There is always as Young said, clearly, there is always forever. Any great result, there is a positive or many positive and a negative or many negatives. It's always, therefore, it's constantly a process and it requires us to constantly adjust. That's what really learning is. It's a process of becoming more and more nuanced and really at the same time enjoying the journey of living and that is really the basically the secret of life is really learning to learn which means you start becoming more and more nuanced in what you're doing whether it's facing a problem or facing some real problems that you might think that are never ever solvable. such as figuring out where you are going after this life. But it's a process, and therefore we have to constantly keep on going. In short, how do we face best our problems? First, we have to look at it as a gap between our internal world and The external world. And this invites us to really take actions in order to close the gap, which is so helpful, which helps us to really become and figure out who we are actually meant to be. Because as Bob Dylan said, it's not about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself. It's an act of constant. improvement and becoming clearly more nuanced in the way we think, the way we act and the way we really embrace and love our life. That's why knowledge matters.
