00:00:11
Speaker 1: Welcome to a bonus episode of We Will Always Have. It's just a little tidbit to tide you over where Chrissy and I talk shit. Let's draw a wisdom card. There's hate still in front of me. This is a message that I believe you need to hear today. Ships don't sink because of the water around them. They sink because of the water that gets in them. Don't let what is happening around you get inside and weigh you down. I mean, that's easier said than done. How do you not let something get to you and weigh you down? What I learned is, I say this over and over again like it's a simple and easy solution, but it's to sit with the feelings. You need to sit with your feelings and your emotions. This is what a Balinese healer said to me, right? Give them a hug, sit with them, embrace them, breathe in, and then breathe out. And as you breathe out, you let them go. Ships don't sink because of the water around them. They sink because of the water that gets in them. Don't let what is happening around you get inside you and weigh you down. Okay, these are more rapid-fire would-you-rathers. Would you rather have fingers for toes or toes for fingers?
00:01:47
Speaker 2: Fingers for toes or toes for fingers?
00:01:50
Speaker 1: Yeah. I'd rather have fingers for toes. Hands are very important.
00:01:54
Speaker 2: Hands are very important. Yes. Okay, I'll go with your answer. Yeah.
00:01:59
Speaker 1: Okay. Well, I'm purely thinking about all the things my hands do for other gentlemen and myself. You can't do that with a palm full of toes.
00:02:09
Speaker 2: Well, you could learn.
00:02:10
Speaker 1: Unless you were very girthy.
00:02:11
Speaker 2: Oh.
00:02:12
Speaker 1: Okay. Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?
00:02:21
Speaker 2: What a stupid question that is.
00:02:24
Speaker 1: No, it's not.
00:02:25
Speaker 2: Say it again.
00:02:26
Speaker 1: Would you rather fight a duck?
00:02:28
Speaker 2: Physically, fight.
00:02:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, physically fight a duck that's the size.
00:02:31
Speaker 2: Of a horse. So one duck the size of a horse. So almost like a geese.
00:02:35
Speaker 1: Or a hundred horses that are the size of a duck.
00:02:39
Speaker 2: No, I'm going to do one duck that's the size of a horse.
00:02:42
Speaker 1: What? Absolutely not. You can just kick the horses out of the way.
00:02:45
Speaker 2: You would never kick a horse. That's a Shetland pony. It's a pony. It would be cute though, wouldn't it? It would be lovely. Very cute.
00:02:52
Speaker 1: Oh, that's interesting.
00:02:53
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:02:53
Speaker 1: Would you rather only eat hot food or only cold food for the rest of your life?
00:03:01
Speaker 2: Shit.
00:03:01
Speaker 1: Right.
00:03:02
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:03:03
Speaker 1: Okay, what's your favourite food? Mine's cheese. There's my answer. Cold. Yeah.
00:03:07
Speaker 2: Look, it's a bit of a.
00:03:08
Speaker 1: Ceviche. I love ceviche. Cold. It's a bit of a... The pie and salad we had today? Cold. Mmm. No hot chips.
00:03:15
Speaker 2: Oh, shit. No potato jackets with baked beans and cheese.
00:03:19
Speaker 1: No melted cheese.
00:03:20
Speaker 2: No, no.
00:03:20
Speaker 1: No toasties.
00:03:21
Speaker 2: I'm hot. I'm going to have to do a hot porridge of a morning, toasty for lunch.
00:03:25
Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
00:03:26
Speaker 2: Roast dinner for dinner.
00:03:28
Speaker 1: No, hot. Oh, my God, Christine.
00:03:30
Speaker 2: All the way.
00:03:31
Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
00:03:32
Speaker 2: What's wrong? What's wrong? What's happened?
00:03:35
Speaker 1: Stop it.
00:03:36
Speaker 2: What's wrong?
00:03:36
Speaker 1: Look up at the roof.
00:03:37
Speaker 2: Look up at the roof.
00:03:38
Speaker 1: Look up at the rafters.
00:03:39
Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
00:03:39
Speaker 1: That is fucking enormous.
00:03:43
Speaker 2: What is that?
00:03:44
Speaker 1: That's not a gecko. That's a fucking dragon. Don't stand out or it'll fall on you. No, that's going nowhere.
00:03:54
Speaker 2: Oh, look at it.
00:03:55
Speaker 1: Oh, shit, a fucking brick. It's moving.
00:03:56
Speaker 2: That's a goanna. Is that a goanna or a goa?
00:03:59
Speaker 1: That's a horse-sized fucking goanna.
00:04:02
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:04:04
Speaker 1: That is absolutely gargantuan.
00:04:08
Speaker 2: Oh, quick, it's moving. It's a gecko. Big Gecko?
00:04:12
Speaker 1: It is. It's so big. Oh. That was revolting. Do you know what that's a sign of?
00:04:20
Speaker 2: I want to talk about this. Go. What's the sign of? Good luck. Good luck. That's our last night here.
00:04:25
Speaker 1: It's saying good luck, the biggest gecko.
00:04:27
Speaker 2: Look at you and the way you responded. Oh, my God.
00:04:31
Speaker 1: Okay, were you trying to criticise me when your Camilla Kaftan is tickling your leg and you're getting freaked out?
00:04:37
Speaker 2: You didn't scream. You just said, oh, my God, Christine, oh, my God, and got up and then went over and videotaped it. Look at that for growth. What?
00:04:46
Speaker 1: That's not growth. That's what I normally do.
00:04:48
Speaker 2: You didn't scream. No.
00:04:50
Speaker 1: Oh, would I have screamed?
00:04:51
Speaker 2: You would have screamed.
00:04:52
Speaker 1: If it was a spider, I would have screamed. It's just a gecko, but it was the size.
00:04:55
Speaker 2: Of a horse. Well, there you go. You can add that into your children's book.
00:04:58
Speaker 1: But, oh, fuck off. Don't children's book me now you criticised it.
00:05:03
Speaker 2: Excuse me. I gave you criticism. I gave you.
00:05:05
Speaker 1: Can we just shush for a minute and stop? Stand here. Look at me. The biggest gecko came on the last night. It's wishing us good luck. As we go home. Yeah. That's a great sign.
00:05:15
Speaker 2: That's a lovely sign. What a great metaphor of life that is.
00:05:19
Speaker 1: What's an animal I need to see that tells me I'm going to be purchasing this fucking house that I really want to buy?
00:05:27
Speaker 2: No, that's going to happen regardless. Oh, see, there's a little baby one now.
00:05:33
Speaker 1: Oh, there's another one.
00:05:34
Speaker 2: It's a mini good luck. It's a teeny tiny one.
00:05:37
Speaker 1: Oh, is my door to my bedroom closed? I hope so.
00:05:41
Speaker 2: I thought you were going into my room to tell me there was something in there. Fuck, if that was in there, that would have been... You'd be all dead now. You'd have doused yourself with mortine. I'm sick of getting bitten by mosquitoes. Oh, it's bloody outrageous.
00:05:58
Speaker 1: Sort these events by of the 1900s when they happened. From the earliest to the latest. Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered... I think that was 19, that was before the war, wasn't it?
00:06:14
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:06:14
Speaker 1: For the First World War.
00:06:15
Speaker 2: That was in the 20s or something, wasn't it?
00:06:17
Speaker 1: Was the First World War in the 30s or the 1913?
00:06:20
Speaker 2: Around that time.
00:06:22
Speaker 1: I just gave you two, two areas. Don't, okay. A Nobel Prize was first awarded. Oh, that would have been 50s or 60s, wouldn't it?
00:06:31
Speaker 2: Go on, what's the other ones?
00:06:32
Speaker 1: Hillary and Tenzing conquer Everest.
00:06:35
Speaker 2: Right.
00:06:36
Speaker 1: Hole in the ozone layer is reported. Mm-hmm. An opening of the Berlin Wall. Well, that was 70s, wasn't it?
00:06:43
Speaker 2: No, 80s.
00:06:44
Speaker 1: That was 80s.
00:06:45
Speaker 2: Yes, that was the 80s. I know that because I read through that.
00:06:47
Speaker 1: David Hasselhoff was singing on top of the wall.
00:06:49
Speaker 2: Yes, remember that.
00:06:50
Speaker 1: I think the ozone layer was reported probably around that. When was it being used in Australia as a slip, slop, slap? When I was a kid, it was the big thing was the hole in the ozone layer. So it was that.
00:07:01
Speaker 2: I think that's it, yep.
00:07:03
Speaker 1: Hillary and Tenzing conquer Everest.
00:07:06
Speaker 2: I think that was a 50s thing.
00:07:09
Speaker 1: Nobel Prize first awarded.
00:07:12
Speaker 2: That's been around for a very, very long time.
00:07:15
Speaker 1: So do we think Nobel's been around?
00:07:16
Speaker 2: I think that's number one.
00:07:20
Speaker 1: Nobel?
00:07:21
Speaker 2: Yep.
00:07:21
Speaker 1: Tutankhamen's tomb would be number two?
00:07:23
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:07:25
Speaker 1: Then you've got Everest, ozone layer, Berlin Wall.
00:07:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, I reckon you're quite close there.
00:07:31
Speaker 1: You think in that order?
00:07:31
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:07:33
Speaker 1: There's a lot riding on this for you because so far you've got two correct.
00:07:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm happy with my decisions. What have we got?
00:07:44
Speaker 1: What did you say is number one?
00:07:46
Speaker 2: Nobel Peace Prize.
00:07:47
Speaker 1: You are correct. Yes.
00:07:50
Speaker 2: 1901. 1901.
00:07:52
Speaker 1: What was second?
00:07:53
Speaker 2: Well, it was a Tutankhamen. Yep. Tutankhamen's tomb discovery.
00:07:58
Speaker 1: You're correct.
00:07:59
Speaker 2: Yep. 1922. And then we had Hillary and Tenzin's conquering Everest.
00:08:06
Speaker 1: Christine.
00:08:07
Speaker 2: Berlin Wall. A hole in the ozone layer.
00:08:12
Speaker 1: Ah. No, no, no, no. You didn't say that.
00:08:15
Speaker 2: What did I say?
00:08:16
Speaker 1: You said ozone, then Berlin Wall.
00:08:18
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:08:19
Speaker 1: Would you like to keep or swap?
00:08:21
Speaker 2: Oh, I want to keep or swap. No, I've made the decision. I'm going to stand with it.
00:08:26
Speaker 1: So number three is Hillary and Tenzing climbing Everest?
00:08:30
Speaker 2: Yep.
00:08:32
Speaker 1: You're keeping?
00:08:33
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:08:33
Speaker 1: Number four is? Hole in the ozone layer and then number five is Berlin Wall.
00:08:37
Speaker 2: Dig, dig, dig, dig, dig.
00:08:37
Speaker 1: Well done.
00:08:38
Speaker 2: You are on fire. Fucking genius.
00:08:41
Speaker 1: Oh, shit, the pressure's on for the next one. Christine's favourite segment, not sexy questions. What's this one say?
00:08:53
Speaker 2: Have you ever stayed up all night talking to a crush? Well, that would be, yes, you've done that with your mate.
00:08:59
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:09:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, you've done that one.
00:09:01
Speaker 1: Yeah. Have you?
00:09:02
Speaker 2: No, not probably.
00:09:04
Speaker 1: You and Rick stayed up all night?
00:09:05
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, we've stayed up and chatted until about 9.30. I love it.
00:09:10
Speaker 1: That's an all-nighter for the two of you. Oh, Rick, it's 9.30. Jeez, you've got to be up early tomorrow.
00:09:14
Speaker 2: What time do you go to bed on average at home?
00:09:17
Speaker 1: Oh, it really fluctuates. But I was a night person. My normal routine when I fall into it is I'm up till like 1am.
00:09:25
Speaker 2: Really?
00:09:26
Speaker 1: Working? Yeah, just I think because of the Manjaro, I would have a nap in the middle of the day.
00:09:31
Speaker 2: Right.
00:09:32
Speaker 1: And so then I'm not going to bed till really late.
00:09:34
Speaker 2: Right.
00:09:35
Speaker 1: Even pre the weight loss drugs, I was up at 10, 11, 30 and then up till really late. But when I get into a getting up early routine... Like, it's so much more productive. So much more productive.
00:09:52
Speaker 2: Really?
00:09:53
Speaker 1: Yeah. I love getting up early. I don't know why.
00:09:56
Speaker 2: Have you ever been one to sleep in, though? Oh, God, yes. In your teenage years, early 20s?
00:10:01
Speaker 1: That's a teenage thing, though, isn't it? They just sleep all hours of the day.
00:10:04
Speaker 2: They need it, though. And did it kind of flow on into your early 20s where you were a sleeper?
00:10:09
Speaker 1: No, because I did breakfast radio.
00:10:10
Speaker 2: Oh, yes. So you had to be disciplined.
00:10:12
Speaker 1: So I had to get up at like 3.30 a.m., 4 a.m., which killed me. I never got used to that. I did it for years, never got used to it, and I was just confused. chronically exhausted all the time.
00:10:23
Speaker 2: That would be so difficult.
00:10:24
Speaker 1: What about you?
00:10:26
Speaker 2: You're going to laugh at this. So Ricardo and I are looking for any excuse to get into bed from 6pm.
00:10:32
Speaker 1: Hello.
00:10:34
Speaker 2: So we'll get home.
00:10:35
Speaker 1: Sorry, what time?
00:10:36
Speaker 2: 6 p.m. So we'll get home. We'll feed the cats. We'll have dinner. We'll watch Petey Overton on Channel 9's news. And then it's like.
00:10:46
Speaker 1: At the end of the news?
00:10:47
Speaker 2: Well, sometimes we're actually watching Petey from the queen size bed in the bedroom because.
00:10:53
Speaker 1: At six o'clock.
00:10:54
Speaker 2: Yeah, because we just love doing that.
00:10:56
Speaker 1: With daylight savings, the sun sets at 9 p.m.
00:10:58
Speaker 2: Yep. And the putty cats come up onto the bed. They sit between us. Six o'clock. We love it.
00:11:05
Speaker 1: What time are you up? 4.30?
00:11:08
Speaker 2: Well, Ricardo's up at 3.30 every morning.
00:11:10
Speaker 1: Oh, well, that tracks.
00:11:12
Speaker 2: So he's up at 3.30. He'll set off for work around about 5. Oh, my God. 4.35. But he likes to get up. He feeds the putty cats. He has his breakfast. He watches a bit of the US news and then he'll go off to his thing.
00:11:28
Speaker 1: What time are you up?
00:11:29
Speaker 2: I get up about five as he's walking out the door.
00:11:32
Speaker 1: You sleep for 11 hours?
00:11:33
Speaker 2: No, not necessarily because I'm up at three.
00:11:36
Speaker 1: I've seen you go to bed. You're like, good night, and then the light's on for like four hours.
00:11:40
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I just like.
00:11:42
Speaker 1: Yeah, I do that. You sit in bed. So you're in bed at six, but you're scrolling till like 10.
00:11:46
Speaker 2: Yes, that's right. And then what will happen is I'm awake again, say 2.33 every morning. Here I haven't been doing it so much here at the villa. And then I'll be awake for a little while and then I'll have another little snooze and then I'll be up at five. So I'll get up at five. I'll give the putty cats their morning tea. So I give them some little bickies, have a little chat to them, do a couple of movements around the kitchen.
00:12:12
Speaker 1: Bowel movements?
00:12:13
Speaker 2: No, moving my body movements so I can start the day in a good head space.
00:12:18
Speaker 1: At 3.30?
00:12:20
Speaker 2: No, 5. 5?
00:12:20
Speaker 1: Yep. Just in home, no walking around?
00:12:23
Speaker 2: No, just at home. And then from there I'll get ready for work and I'll head into work. And I'll do a video outside of work. In the car? So I'll sit in the car and do a video. And then I'll upload it and go in and start my day.
00:12:35
Speaker 1: What movements do you do in the home? Aerobics Hostile.
00:12:39
Speaker 2: No, they don't have Aerobics Hostile anymore.
00:12:41
Speaker 1: Well, you can get it on YouTube. You can.
00:12:42
Speaker 2: You can. So I just do some gentle exercising. I found this woman on TikTok. She's an older woman, but she's got a really fantastic headset about getting your body moving. It doesn't have to be like the strenuous sweat pouring off every orifice. It's about doing calf muscle stretches. Oh, yeah. Because she said you want to be strong. You don't want to be falling and doing all of that. So I do 20 calf lifts.
00:13:05
Speaker 1: Yes.
00:13:05
Speaker 2: And then I'll do some stretches. And then you've got to hold your leg up. And she reckons if you do this for 15 minutes every day, this series of exercises, that you will grow.
00:13:16
Speaker 1: Do you think that's why your frozen shoulder is sort of getting better?
00:13:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, it is. And all the bloody stuff I've been having done to it.
00:13:22
Speaker 1: We've really strayed away from the topic of this segment and you've put the– can you read the other side? Yeah.
00:13:29
Speaker 2: Well, that was have you ever hooked up with a stranger. Oh, look, it's all gone now. Oh, you're so fucking useless. Have you ever had a lap dance? Was that the one?
00:13:37
Speaker 1: Oh, was that the other side? Have you ever kissed a friend?
00:13:39
Speaker 2: Oh, no.
00:13:40
Speaker 1: I don't know.
00:13:40
Speaker 2: No, anyway.
00:13:41
Speaker 1: Well, anyway, apologies to everyone who's waiting for Christine to divulge her sexiest, deepest, darkest secrets.
Speaker 1: Welcome to a bonus episode of We Will Always Have. It's just a little tidbit to tide you over where Chrissy and I talk shit. Let's draw a wisdom card. There's hate still in front of me.
