The Washington Commanders are massive underdogs heading into Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers, but Sean Anderson believes there is one major reason Washington should not be counted out. Jayden Daniels. San Francisco has the better roster at almost every position. The 49ers have Kyle Shanahan at head coach, Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason in the running back room, George Kittle at tight end, Trent Williams anchoring the offensive line and an extremely deep defensive front led by Nick Bosa, Mykel Williams and other talented players. Washington simply doesn't have the same level of overall talent. But Sean believes Washington has an advantage at the most important position on the field. Jayden Daniels is better than Brock Purdy. And that could be enough to give the Commanders a legitimate chance to pull off a massive upset in San Francisco. Sean explains why Daniels is a tier above Purdy in his quarterback rankings and why having an elite, mobile quarterback can allow an underdog team to overcome disadvantages elsewhere on the roster. But Washington will need almost everything to go right. Sean believes Jayden Daniels needs to play a near-perfect game. The Commanders' wide receivers need to limit their drops to one or fewer. Washington's offensive line needs to allow no more than two sacks. And the defense needs to take advantage of the injuries currently impacting the 49ers. San Francisco is still an extremely talented team, but the 49ers are dealing with injuries across the roster. Their wide receiver room has taken several hits, while the secondary is also banged up. Brock Purdy, meanwhile, has played extremely well so far this season. Could Washington's defense be the team that finally causes Purdy to come back down to earth? Could Jayden Daniels put together the type of performance necessary to carry the Commanders? And can Washington overcome its massive talent disadvantage to shock the 49ers on Monday Night Football? Sean Anderson explains why this matchup is incredibly difficult for Washington — but why it is not completely impossible. This is also a massive game for the Commanders' season. Washington enters the matchup at 1-3-1 after the devastating tie with the New York Giants. With a bye week coming after San Francisco and Philadelphia waiting on the other side, this game could have a major impact on Washington's season. Sean also discusses the lessons Washington needs to take from the Giants game, including the importance of learning from the end-of-game mistakes that led to the tie. Can the Commanders shock San Francisco? Can Jayden Daniels outduel Brock Purdy? And does Washington have enough to pull off the biggest upset of its season?
