Teri: Ever wonder how your online order goes from a click of a button to your front door, or how people can do research on a distant moon like Europa without ever visiting it? Well, have you ever wondered if maybe you're an engineer? Engineering is simply the application of math and science to solve complex problems. And it is in every part of the world every business sector, healthcare, and how theme parks are laid out, ⁓ even in how you get your favorite. cozy blanket from an order on a webpage to a box at your doorstep. Hi, I'm Teri Carey from Cornell Duffield Engineering Admissions, and this is our brand new podcast, View, Voices of Incredible Engineering Women. We are here to put the spotlight on the importance of including women in STEM and to bring a microphone to some female voices in the field. Each episode, we will take some time to chat with a female engineering student from a different major in our program. We will get to know more about her journey, the major itself, and what she hopes to accomplish in the future. We want to open doors to women and girls and show them that they have a place at the table of engineering. In order to do that, we need more women to study it. So we will bring along Scott Campbell, Director of Cornell Duffield Engineering Admissions. Maybe a few more friends from our admissions staff, and we're all gonna chat about some key admissions tips and maybe help us expel some myths about the admissions process along the way. I am so excited to be here and hope you join us as we tell these stories of incredible women in engineering at Cornell University.
