In Unread’s top story this Sunday, with nine women murdered in Ekurhuleni in the past two months alone, and suspended deputy national police commissioner, Shadrack Siboiya, in custody for alleged rape, it may be tough to concede that your statistics on gender based violence are not accurate. Yet that’s exactly what national police admitted to members of Parliament this week. In other stories, with just more than a month to go until the local government elections, one of the Western Cape’s most unstable municipalities, Knysna, is currently mayorless. Finally, it’s tough to believe, but ProNutro is retiring at the age of 64. These, plus four other stories, make Unread your premier video bulletin in 10 minutes or less.
