The Triangle is no stranger to struggle. On this weeks episode, for Mental Health Awareness Month, we get real and honest about the challenges we have faced. From child loss to addiction, this is a raw episode. We also give insight to how we overcome some of our toughest struggles. Mental health awareness is crucial, especially in the construction industry, which has alarming statistics that demand our attention. Did you know that construction workers have one of the highest suicide rates compared to other professions? It's a staggering figure, reported to be four times higher than the national average. A 2020 survey by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) highlighted that 14.3% of construction workers experience anxiety, and nearly 6% battle depression. Moreover, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) notes that substance abuse disorders among construction workers are nearly double the national average.Mental Health ResourcesIf you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out for help.
