After taking the bi week to reconnect with their families, make amends, and get their minds right, Deano, Lomas, and Uncle Brother are back!
The pod debuts a new theme song--one more appropriate to the fact (we think) that the Roar are not real contenders, thanks to the donkey ball chomping defense and weird lapses on offense. You can listen to the full song at the end of the episode.
We acknowledge the good things:
--Jared continues to ball out and play at a very high level
--Jamo was a good boy and caught 2 TD
--Saint had a monster game
--The O-line protected Jared fairly well
--And, of course, we won the game against a hated division rival
But also worry about the stuff that still kinda sucks:
--The play calling is inconsistent; brilliant one play, pedestrian the next
--2 fumbles lost
--The fact that we won mostly because the Pecklers kicker set the record for most donkey balls sucked at once ... and at least three terrible calls against them
In short, a win that didn't feel very decisive and that raised more questions than it provided answers.
We pull off a pretty good harmonized roar, even though Lomas wobbles a bit toward the end.
After the Roar features an extremely silly and hilarious (at least we think so) exploroaration of the music of The Police ... if Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers were all lifelong Roaraholics.
And so, on to another home game, against the Viqueens, who are unbeaten despite sucking D-balls on offense. With the help of the Ghost of Bobby Layne, may be kick their ass and ruin their season.
Roar!
