00:04:41
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, come on man, wow wow, yeah.
00:04:44
Speaker 4: Very familiar with in Detroit. Uh he's going to be dressing.
00:04:48
Speaker 2: Uh. The person singing the national not.
00:04:51
Speaker 1: A person co co jok Jones. What's a respect on her name? Not the national anthem? It's the I thought it was national previous anthem. The lift every voice, Oh that the one?
00:05:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's the black person national anthem.
00:05:03
Speaker 5: Live every boy say sing you want me to say it.
00:05:07
Speaker 2: No, but I'm saying, just say, I didn't know what song it was.
00:05:11
Speaker 1: Left thy voice that No, I'm not beings to actually this last Yeah she singing left every voice.
00:05:15
Speaker 2: Okay, I didn't know which one you were singing. He said, just say they say say the inWORD, rob G.
00:05:19
Speaker 1: NOA, you were trying to say, ain't gonna.
00:05:22
Speaker 2: Make it, Elijah, We ain't gonna make it. What countries should the NFL player.
00:05:28
Speaker 1: Coco Jones saying with the R and B artists and Donovan Mitchell's fiance, Coco Jones.
00:05:34
Speaker 2: Okay, so Coco Jones and uh but uh he's got.
00:05:38
Speaker 1: A lot going on and everybody as well. All right, so we got a lot to get to. Uh in that, Rob g. Uh the super Bowl and uh, this is the same thing that we've been talking about about the idea of team versus quarterback.
00:05:55
Speaker 2: That's where we're at right now. Yeah.
00:05:57
Speaker 5: They're saying that the L and super Bowl ALEX stands for long shot, right, and that's because these two teams together, the Seahawks and the Patriots, statistically is the most unlikely super Bowl in NFL history combined odds.
00:06:14
Speaker 2: Entering the season of forty eight, hundred to one.
00:06:17
Speaker 5: So nobody saw these teams coming year, and for big reason, neither one of them coming into the year. How which you would call a top flight quarterback. Drake may showed flashes as a rookie, but nobody saw him really making that kind of a leap. And Sam Darnold, as good as he was last season in Minnesota, still has the reputation the stench of being a turn into a pumpkin type of player. So, guys, now that this has happened, and this happens kind of regularly if you think about it, anytime you get to the Super Bowl, there's always at least one quarterback who is either on his rookie deal or is fairly severely underpaid. In fact, since twenty twelve, there's only been two Super Bowls that did not feature a quarterback on his rookie contract. And so now when you saw this season, Patrick Mahomes didn't make the playoffs, Lamar Jackson didn't make the playoffs, Joe Burrow didn't make the playoffs.
00:07:14
Speaker 2: There are a lot of.
00:07:15
Speaker 5: People around the league, both internally and externally in the media that think this type of season where you see two you know also ran kind of quarterbacks coming into the season make the jump get their team to the super Bowl because the rest of the roster around them is so good.
00:07:33
Speaker 2: Do you agree? I totally disagree.
00:07:36
Speaker 4: I think this is a one off, and it happened sometimes. That's why Matthew Stafford's in the mix. So as a thirty seven year old with a chance to get an MVP late in his career, that doesn't happen. It really doesn't like he was never in the mix for it.
00:07:50
Speaker 2: It took one off.
00:07:52
Speaker 1: It was never in the mix all the way, like seventeen years in the league, and now he has a chance to win an MVP.
00:07:59
Speaker 2: I think it's a one off.
00:08:01
Speaker 4: I just do you think Patrick Mahomes or Lamar or Joe Burrow.
00:08:05
Speaker 2: These guys are never.
00:08:06
Speaker 4: Gonna win again and it's gonna be teams that are more balanced and don't have a great quarter I just don't think that's the case. Things like this happen sometimes where you have bad starts by some teams, you know, collapses, injuries. We see more injuries today, you know, would star players, good players. So I'm not saying that a team doesn't want a more balanced team, but they also want a great quarterback if they can have it.
00:08:34
Speaker 2: And I would.
00:08:36
Speaker 4: Bet that eight or seven of the next ten Super Bowls some of those great quarterbacks are going to be winning them. And it won't be Drake may or Sam Donald's gonna run off three super Bowls. And I just don't see that it's a one off. It happens sometimes, and I think that's what this season is.
00:08:55
Speaker 2: I get it.
00:08:55
Speaker 1: I think where I would would disagree with you and agree with the numbers are that you can be right. Let let's say it's Lamar Jackson next year, or it's Patrick macome one of the usual guys who are.
00:09:04
Speaker 2: Getting all done.
00:09:05
Speaker 1: Patrick he guys who are getting Bukoo money.
00:09:09
Speaker 2: The difference is to what Robb Gi was stating.
00:09:12
Speaker 1: Then it might be against Kayleb Williams, who's still on a rookie deal. You know, it could be against a guy like that.
00:09:17
Speaker 2: I think you. So the Lions are out of the mixed then, right, So.
00:09:20
Speaker 1: The Lions got one more chance. I told you got more year. So they got one more year. I told you with Jared Goff, you can't keep having a stand steel quarterback. I told you this coming from a fan. You got one more crack if your offensive line is amazing.
00:09:31
Speaker 2: Other than that, it won't work.
00:09:32
Speaker 1: But I think we'll still continue to see where you might get a hybrid or the two which you were saying, a star quarterback. But to Robgi's point, where you'll always have a underpaid or a young guy in it, and part of it is just because.
00:09:46
Speaker 2: But I don't have to pay young Russell Wilson.
00:09:48
Speaker 1: I can have the legion of Boom and big bast Mode and some guys around him.
00:09:52
Speaker 2: I can have a bigger team won a Super Bowl without doing that.
00:09:56
Speaker 1: And I'm just saying there's no they went out and spent all the money f the picks. They don't care, you know what I mean. And that was Joe Burrow, right. No, I'm like rams who they beat beat?
00:10:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, Joe Burrow.
00:10:10
Speaker 1: He wasn't paid, right, So that's what I'm gonna get a team there who doesn't have to. It won't be both Matthew Stafford making all the money and UH and UH and.
00:10:19
Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes making all the money. Is what we're saying.
00:10:21
Speaker 1: You're gonna get a young Jalen Hurts in the Super Bowl. You're gonna get a young Patrick Mahomes. You're gonna get a young Russell Wilson, You're gonna get a young Tom Brady. Those first few where you just get guys who are young. Ben Roethlisberger, I mean, he can go down the line where these young guys get in because it's like, oh, shoot Nick Foles and and you just have young people who are in who have been making money because I can spend all that money elsewhere, and I can and I can be able to create a good team.
00:10:46
Speaker 2: I can have the best players.
00:10:47
Speaker 1: Because ultimately you get teams that eventually get their over they overpaid, the defense gets crazy. Now I gotta make changes, you lose guys, and I gotta shave all that money.
00:10:57
Speaker 2: And put it to the quarterback.
00:10:58
Speaker 1: So I just think you're gonna continue to find teams that are very well rounded. Well you know, they coached, and they got just enough of a window with a young guy that they can make it, you know, make it a chance to run at the super Bowl before they got to pay the young guy all the money.
00:11:13
Speaker 4: I just I don't I just I hear that whole thing, and I don't think that it's automatically. It's automatic, and we need to see more of those situations. And you're talking about even when you talk about a Caleb or Joe Burrow getting to these are the best of the best.
00:11:27
Speaker 2: These are no middle of the road quarterbacks.
00:11:30
Speaker 1: You're not paying money where you're saying, well, we don't need a big time quarterback, and we've seen it with lesser than quarterbacks, but they always have a historically great defense or something of that ill. But that's what you're saying. You build around, you build around. You have this this amazing defense to your point, the Buccaneers with Brad Johnson or you have, you know, this amazing defense, special teams, and it's a quarterback like I.
00:11:53
Speaker 4: Just don't think you could build I don't think that that's like some of those are once in a lifetime. Even even when you look at the like they we talked about it all year, Hey this is a super Bowl defense. Well, if you didn't have good quarterback play, guess what they but it's and negated it.
00:12:08
Speaker 2: They what I'm trying to say to you, but negated it.
00:12:12
Speaker 4: But here's why, I think it doesn't matter what the quarterback was making. If he doesn't play well enough or he didn't turn them all over, you still won't win.
00:12:19
Speaker 1: But Here's why I think if you go with the ideology of building these teams up, the Texan Texans can say we have shots at it because we're mixing. Is gonna come back and that can actually run the ball. Defense is going to be great. And then you can say we keep having chances because our defense is Yeah.
00:12:36
Speaker 4: But the only thing is that I'm going to counted is the two championships. I know they're going for a three pet but they won. Patrick Mahomes was making sixty four percent of the salary cap, so sound he didn't know. But I'm saying the second one where they won back to back, he got his money. He was high paid, and they couldn't keep other people and they didn't have It's a total team, but somehow they were able to still win two super.
00:13:02
Speaker 1: Bowl and dang it, if they could kept some people, they might have won another one. I just think teams are like when you're building something. I keep going back to that that Seahawks team. So we've got Seahawks here. When you start to build something that Pete Carroll. We know even at USC, we always talk about the offensive players at USC. You know what they were also amazing was defense and Pete Carroll is on for defense, and he gets the legion of Boom, which they weren't at that time. They become they get created the lesion of Boom, and then you get the running game. Pete Carroll wants to run Reggie Bok, Reggie Bush, Lyndale White. He gets this amazing defense. That's what he does. He gets the running game going. We're supposed to have Matt Flynn, but he goes, no, we're gonna get this young guy. Young guy balls out in the next couple of years. A few years, you're in a couple of Super Bowls.
00:13:46
Speaker 2: So here's my think. That's kind of the point of what a lot of teams are.
00:13:49
Speaker 1: Saying, hit a lick for for you know, well, three or four years before we got to pay guy X, we can have a run at it before we So if Seattle loses and I'm just this Mysselaria and Sam Donald plays poorly, okay, because that has to be a part of the equation.
00:14:05
Speaker 2: He turns into the guy who turns.
00:14:06
Speaker 1: The ball over on tom If you're Seattle, do you go, God, did we waste this defense? And and this team with the also ran quarterback with a guy who couldn't play.
00:14:17
Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean? Like, do you look at it like that? Or what was the option name? What do you No?
00:14:21
Speaker 4: No, No, I'm just saying as him not being a top flight quarterback or guy that people believed in all year as well as they played.
00:14:30
Speaker 2: Rob g knows this.
00:14:31
Speaker 4: You know this, that people doubted them the whole way through.
00:14:38
Speaker 2: He gonna do it on Sunday he got a donald at some point. Yeah, I believe.
00:14:42
Speaker 1: I truly believe a lot of people they can't believe how well he played in the last game and go like he's due for to the thinker. Yeah, we had Brittley Wiseman was he was. I thought I was talking to you, my back on you, and I was like, what is this. Rob Parker Jr. He was right there with you. But I think there are a lot of people I don't think I'm I'm the lunar. So I said, I agree, I think he could be. When we talked about this going into the NFC Championship game, and I said, all he has to do is be what we said CJ. Shad would be, which was not hurt his team. He ended up being the reason that the larger than anyone. No, not to a CJ. I'm saying, oh, but uh yeah, I just I want to build the team and hope I get the young guy, the good guy for a handful of years, so we can be good for a while, all right.

00:18:19
Speaker 2: Who do you got? See what we got in a moment's here? How you doing brother? I'm doing good.
00:18:26
Speaker 1: I don't see I was talking to you. I was talking to the brother right here. Just walked in front of us. Let's go to Max and Georgia. Max, you're on with the odd couple on a worship Wednesday?
00:18:36
Speaker 2: What's up, Max.
00:18:38
Speaker 9: Honor? A pleasure to be on with you now.
00:18:41
Speaker 2: Max appreciation.
00:18:42
Speaker 10: You know, I love the Drake and I love what Rabel's been able to build on this team.
00:18:47
Speaker 9: It's impressive.
00:18:48
Speaker 10: But I gotta be honest, where are the great quarterbacks? I mean it's like we either don't have them anymore or we don't see them anymore. It's been over a decade. I mean, where are the stats, the yards, the touchdowns, the highlight plays.
00:19:02
Speaker 9: I mean, we used to have a.
00:19:02
Speaker 10: League where you'd have three to four hundred yards passing in the league. That's still valued running the ball. This league today, with the rules, the offensive it's offensively biased. We got guys who are the best at.
00:19:14
Speaker 9: Their their their positions supposedly, but they don't make it to the big game or they're too busy losing the game and then crying at the podium. I just don't understand our leaders.
00:19:25
Speaker 2: Are you saying to jump in? Are you saying where are the Peyton's?
00:19:28
Speaker 1: Where the Peyton mannings, the Tom Brady's, the Ben Roethlisberger.
00:19:31
Speaker 2: Is that kind of Drew Brees.
00:19:32
Speaker 10: We have some, you know, you've got the Herberts and the Allens and the malmes Is, I guess, but it's like we need more. I mean, this league it's offensively biased. The rules are set for offense, and these guys today they're struggling to break three hundred yards.
00:19:47
Speaker 2: But the difference is max.
00:19:48
Speaker 4: I think sometimes you think that that the era we just left with all these great quarterbacks as always, but that's not This is.
00:19:56
Speaker 1: Just like three or four guys, right, and I think we have the mean Tamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen.
00:20:03
Speaker 2: Those guys are crazy good, right, but they haven't won.
00:20:05
Speaker 1: The other two I haven't won yet, But I'm just saying, but twenty what. But I'm thinking, like the era we just passed was like we got some of the all time great quarterback played. You know what I mean, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady all played at the same time. Three guys who are in the top five all time, do you know what I'm saying?
00:20:26
Speaker 2: And they have to mention wherever you want to play Drew Brees.
00:20:29
Speaker 4: So I think that that can kind of like you think that all the quarterback eras of the NFL is like that to have five all the game playing at the same time. And I don't think that that's going to be legit or going to be realistic.
00:20:43
Speaker 1: Danny in Washington, you're on the couple Fox Sports Radio. What's up, Danny?
00:20:48
Speaker 2: How are you very good?
00:20:50
Speaker 10: Brother?
00:20:51
Speaker 2: How you doing doing good? Well?
00:20:54
Speaker 11: I'm a Seahawks fan, But talking about the quarterback, you guys are and what his responsibilities are. Going all the way back to pet Kill again, Number one, by having a running game.
00:21:09
Speaker 2: You keep that defense in the box and keep them honest.
00:21:13
Speaker 11: You've got to have a good offensive line and the quarterback. You're well aware of what he can do and what he can't do. You don't expect too much of it.
00:21:23
Speaker 2: You keep it to.
00:21:23
Speaker 11: Where what his responsibilities are something within what he can do because you're running the ball. You've got a good defense, but you've got a great offensive line, and that quarterback is expected to do what you know he's capable of doing. You don't expect any Patrick Maholmes or Tom Brady. You know this guy could be kind of iffy. So his responsibilities are what he's able to do. You design your offense.
00:21:54
Speaker 4: Around that, Danny, let me ask you this question. Is Sam Darnold the weak link on this team?
00:22:02
Speaker 2: To you?
00:22:03
Speaker 1: You're a Seattle fan, is that the weak link? Is that what you fear the most?
00:22:07
Speaker 3: You know?
00:22:10
Speaker 11: I can't really answer.
00:22:11
Speaker 2: That because well, yes you can, Yes you can.
00:22:15
Speaker 11: Okay, I wouldn't call him a week link.
00:22:18
Speaker 2: No, I'm asking you.
00:22:19
Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, Danny, Danny, it's a simple It's not the end of the world.
00:22:23
Speaker 2: We're not giving you.
00:22:24
Speaker 4: Whether you pass it not a wrong answer. If you look at all the facets of the Seahawks defense, offense, quarterback specialty. Is he the weakest link of all those things on a team, on a Seahawks.
00:22:39
Speaker 11: When you want me to say he's a weak link, he is a guy?
00:22:44
Speaker 1: Okay, all right, you don't want to answer it, Danny, Danny, it's okay, it's okay, you know, Okay, pick something else.
00:22:52
Speaker 2: But he's going on ball. I don't. He doesn't want to say it because I get it. He's a Seahawks fan. He knows he's the weak link and is afraid.
00:23:00
Speaker 4: To say it because he doesn't want to jinx.
00:23:02
Speaker 2: It for the Super Bowl or something, which is fine.
00:23:05
Speaker 1: All he had to do was say, no, it's the defense, or no, it's the offense of the road. That's all I asked you. That's not the end of the world. Maybe he thinks they're just that complete. We link Mark fuck Kob.
00:23:18
Speaker 4: Always, no matter how strong something is, something is the weakest line.
00:23:21
Speaker 1: No, I hear you, Mark Funky Comadina will talk to him in the morning.
00:23:24
Speaker 2: A bunch has been happening to it.
00:23:26
Speaker 1: Maybe we have NBA coverage on Fox Sports Radio, Mark Medina, you know what I'm saying. All Right, everybody, everybody, Martin, you got an hour and a half.
00:23:36
Speaker 2: You might catustraight to everybody.
00:23:38
Speaker 12: See what happens when you don't get the last two lamb chops.
00:23:45
Speaker 1: Best part was here face on that eighth one. He was like, everybody's like, come on rock, come on ruck. He was like, I'm I ain't gonna be able to do it. I ain't gonna be able to do it. No, but you know what, Elijah and Saga they were like, don't, don't, don't.
00:23:58
Speaker 2: They don't have to do it.
00:23:59
Speaker 1: If you g I just don't feel good. I don't think I can do the show. That's what we didn't want to happen. We can't afford to happen in San Francisco.
00:24:06
Speaker 2: We need you. I ate eight solid Martin. They were good too. My god.
00:24:10
Speaker 12: All right, let's get to the score so you have enough time for Marky Covendin. There's a ton of stuff going on in the NBA right now. At the half, the Knicks lead the Nuggets fifty five to fifty three. Jamal Murray with twenty four first a half points, Carl Towns with twelve. He also at the end of the first quarter got a cut above it on his face above his eyebrow was bleeding profusely all over his jersey. Stopped the game for quite a bit near at the end of the first quarter. There that game right now at the half, one minute away from the half, the Raptors lead the timber Wolves sixty seven to fifty seven. Scotty Barnes with eight point six rebound, six assists, triple double.
00:24:45
Speaker 2: Watch two minutes left in the first quarter of the Rockets lead.
00:24:48
Speaker 12: This all took seventeen to fourteen, Shingoon with four, Derek White with five.
00:24:52
Speaker 2: First quarter just.
00:24:54
Speaker 12: About to end for the Pelicans and the Bucks thirty two to twenty seven.
00:24:57
Speaker 2: New Orleans and the lead.
00:24:58
Speaker 12: Trey Murphy has nine Dallas Mavericks for trading Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards, D'Angelo Russell, Dontey, Exem jaydon Hardy going to Washington.
00:25:06
Speaker 2: Chris Middleton, Marvin Bagley, the third A. J.
00:25:08
Speaker 12: Johnson, Malachi Brandham, two first round picks and three second round picks headed back to Dallas. The Charlotte Hornets acquired Colby White and Mike Conley from the Bulls. They also acquired Mason Plumbley from Oklahoma City and sent Colin Sexton to Chicago. Speaking of OKAC, Jerry McCain is on his way to the Thunder from the Philadelphia Sydney Sixers for a first round pick and three second round picks and OKAC star Shay Gillis Alexander.
00:25:35
Speaker 2: Will be out for at least through your All.
00:25:37
Speaker 12: Star break with an abdominal strain. Chris Paul his rights got traded to the Toronto Raptors and Lonzo Ball traded to the Jazz. They expect to waive him so likely be a free agent. In the NFL News, the carl Zola Cardinals high reformer Denver Broncos head coach with Daniel Hackett as their new offensive coordinator. The Steelers hired Minnesota Vikings passing game coordinator and tight ends goas Brian and Leco as their new offensive coordinator. Eagles offensive like coach Jeff Stotland is retiring Drake May a full participant in Super Bowl practice today despite having that shoulder injury. And Fox Sports as Jay Glazier was asked if Max Crosby's time with the Raiders is done. Glazier responded and said, I think I do, and predicted that Crosby will fetch more in the trade market than Michael Parsons did.
00:26:25
Speaker 2: Fellows back to you, no doubt, Martin.
00:26:27
Speaker 1: Did you say Jeff Stoutlin is retiring the touch push, the touch push architect himself hanging them up?
00:26:33
Speaker 2: You know he went to school right where Southern Connecticut State.
00:26:40
Speaker 1: And one other thing, Alonzo ball got the's gonna get cut out of Jazz expect. Can we get a comment from Lebar I'm just oh my boy. Let me tell you something. He coming back to the Lakers, coming back home, all of them, Leangelo. He's gonna stop his rapping right now. Come back, Mello, go and get a full shirt, not a see it was playing baby my boys never lost, never lost.
00:27:10
Speaker 2: Thank you, Martin appreciated. I couple robbing Kevin would look good on you too.
00:27:14
Speaker 1: I can't even hear my off chipping. I can't nothing you're talking about right now. At least get my hold on.
00:27:19
Speaker 2: You got them laughing.
00:27:20
Speaker 1: I know they're not laughing at that. They might be laughing at something else. Okay, all right, don't be laughing at that. You got people. Don't me entertaining an audience.
00:27:26
Speaker 2: Now listen.
00:27:27
Speaker 1: If I get my abs back, we can crop top it. Okay, all right. When the cold weather sets in, everyday, aches and pains can linger, but it leaves got your back with up to twelve hours of body pain relief and per do so lead keep you going with long lasting body pain relief this winter. Try to leave use as directed from minor aches and pains. Speaking eggs and pains, by the way, I might need to lead because me and rob G was getting it in this morning. Where are you at in the gym? Tell me hitting the mark. He's hitting us with crickets right now. Me and rob G.
00:27:57
Speaker 2: I was in line. I was in line with you.
00:28:00
Speaker 1: You're getting wings after eating twelve lamp chops last night, me and Robbie putting in this sweat equity.
00:28:05
Speaker 2: You guys just happen to bump in yelling. Know y'all gonna be working it.
00:28:08
Speaker 1: Not text texted him said I'm already down here. I said, I'll be down here in five Mark, funky cobdita. We'll put you into text next time. Essentially, Sports Fox, Sports Radio, NBA include.
00:28:18
Speaker 2: Me because we knew.
00:28:22
Speaker 1: I can't do it right now. I can't stop eating these Bounty wings. Mark, We're having a great time out here in San Francisco. What's up the NBA? He said, let's make a bunch of moves today.
00:28:31
Speaker 2: Huh.
00:28:32
Speaker 11: I'm not into it though.
00:28:33
Speaker 8: Where Incidentally, the Cleveland Tavaliers and LA Clippers are going to be playing after making that James Harden Darius Garland trade. I'm not sure if a James Harden video tribute is in store, but uh, you know, we'll wait and sue.
00:28:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you know that ain't happening.
00:28:49
Speaker 1: They've they've been getting a lot of tributes that kind of seem a little over the top, but I don't think that was way over the top.
00:28:54
Speaker 2: Is riticulous?
00:28:55
Speaker 8: They gave Russell Westbrook a tribute video. I think if they're giving Russ a tribute vide, James Harden will get a few whilights.
00:29:03
Speaker 2: I don't know about James.
00:29:04
Speaker 1: I think Jane, we talked about this jumping on us with this James Harden. I mean, when you start to go down everywhere he leaves, it ends up being bad the situation. He goes for greener pastures. I mean, what do you make of his time with the Clippers and just where he is with this, this this in his career. Do you think it's a win for the Calves or the Clippers?
00:29:22
Speaker 8: Put the coin like both this trade can work for both sides, but can also blow up in their face because with James Harden, how's the fit going to be with Donovan Mitchell. They're both two all dominant point guards. James Harden the playoffs, we've seen he doesn't have a good track record there with the with the Clippers. Darius Garland has a toe injury. I've been told he's probably not coming back until All Star weekend or after All Star weekend. But I think the plus side is the Clippers or the Calves have a player that might be more comfortable as far as you know, veteran experience, etc. They're trying to catch lad in a bottle because they've been struggling.
00:29:59
Speaker 9: This isn't it.
00:30:00
Speaker 8: Maybe they can get another star of this offseason, and with the Clippers they're getting younger. But yeah, this this trade might blow up in their face, but it also could be the best for both sides considering that both teams were kind of moving in mud this season.
00:30:17
Speaker 1: What other trades are you expecting? Are we expect that any blockbusters? Tomorrow is the deadline? Will Giannis be moved? Will there be anything else that we should.
00:30:26
Speaker 2: Be looking for?
00:30:27
Speaker 8: Yeah, well there's a bunch of things, but I think the main thing obviously is Jonas Hunt Kumbo.
00:30:32
Speaker 9: It's fifty to fifty.
00:30:33
Speaker 8: If I had a guess, I think that he stays with the Milwaukee Bucks only because the Bucks will think, hey, this off season, maybe there's more offers. Right now, it's about the Warriors and the Minnesota timber Wolves. The Warriors are willing to package any combination of players together outside of Steph Curry and draft picks, where the Wolves same idea, but they don't have as much draft capitalist. So I think from now until then, Minnesota's going to try to make some more deals to get draft picks. I don't think that it's going to be enough for the Bucks to pull the trigger though. The other big deal, though, is going to be John Moran. I think it's inevitable that Memphis trades him. The moment that they traded Jaron Jackson Junior to the Utah Jazzer picks, they very much signaled they're tearing this down. And maybe they already had done that with it has been trade last year to Orlando, but this further signified that it's no longer about trying to get as much as you can in return for John Moran, it is about just cutting your losses and starting from square one. So I expect that he will be dealt before the deadline of mam.
00:31:34
Speaker 1: Well, stay there with Joh for a moment, because at least with Giannis, we've heard about the five teams, right, the Timberwolves.
00:31:40
Speaker 2: The Niggs, the Warriors, so on and so forth.
00:31:43
Speaker 1: Now you know some armers about the Calves maybe, but Joh, where where does he fit? Where does John fit in? You know, I don't really hear teams talking about John. I mean, we know he special and he's a talent, But with Rob talked about yesterday is all the issues that come with it. I just feel like I haven't heard any any fit that kind of scene to be a natural.
00:32:01
Speaker 8: Well, this is the case where silence speaks volumes, Right, There's a reason why you haven't heard as much because there's not as much talk about job because of what you mentioned. I think the bigger thing is his durability and his consistency when he's on the floor for what it's worth, you know, I've asked his different teammates on the Grizzlies these last few years about him, and they sware by him as far as like, hey, he made a mistake, He's still a great leader behind the scenes, good teammate, went on the floor, great But I think the larger concern is just how he messes with the coaching staff and how you know, consistently reliable he can view from a health standpoint. So with that, I think it's slim pickings. But if I had to guess the teams that are going to be in the mix, it's the Sacramento Kings because they're on a fire sale. And the Kings, you know, really have nothing to lose because they're not going anywhere. I think in the Miami Heat could be a player because the Heat have had a pretty good track record of turning guys around and holding them accountable better than the previous organization. Look at what you know before the whole injury stuff with Jimmy Butler happened. When they inherited him from Philadelphia, they helped revitalize his career. I think that's the feeling that they can do with John. Now, what do the Miami Heat give up outside of a bam out of bio. I think that they're making anyone available, but they don't want to. They don't want it so much as they're shirping the roster bear. But I think at this point it's about you know, the Grizzlies have enough draft picks. It's about just cutting your losses and getting some respectable rotation players so they can start to rebuild.
00:33:28
Speaker 1: Is there any chance, real quick, we got less than a minute, that the Knicks make some sort of deal, something in the works, a blockbuster or something.
00:33:36
Speaker 3: No.
00:33:37
Speaker 8: I mean he ever discounting love Yanna Fountain. Because of the way the season's going, it's mostly up, occasionally down. I think that they've made the decision. They're better off re lined with what they have with Jalen Brunts and Cora Anthony Towns. They're autoobi. I don't think that the Knicks make any major moves.
00:33:52
Speaker 2: I've had all tomorrow in ten seconds.
00:33:55
Speaker 1: You think Lonzoways looks like he's going to be released from the Jats come back to the Lakers.
00:34:00
Speaker 8: I don't think so. I think that ship is sale. We won't be seeing lebar A, Lonzo.
00:34:04
Speaker 1: And La all right, So I was just asking, all right, Mark fucking Comedina, Mark g underscore Medina.
00:34:10
Speaker 2: We appreciate your time as always.
00:34:12
Speaker 8: Appreciate you guys. And Rob get your workout and before she superow he ain't.

00:35:13
Speaker 2: Man, I don't know how many of you pulling. I mean, his clothes are not miracle work.
00:35:17
Speaker 1: I say, you know what, I'm like that he's still got so much going on after all these years got started when nineteen eighty nine was it?
00:35:24
Speaker 2: Here we are thirty plus years later.
00:35:25
Speaker 1: Hey, on my old show in Detroit, yep, sports Route, Yeah, we're hip hop and sports me yep.
00:35:31
Speaker 2: On CBS.
00:35:32
Speaker 1: We used to give away his merch because one of our advertisers used to sell your stuff in there.
00:35:37
Speaker 2: So we go way back back in those days.
00:35:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt, man, just talk to us about to me what I think has been awesome to see is the resurgence of brands that the younger folks maybe weren't familiar with. So yourself, the food boos, the cross colors. I'm seeing a lot of folks, you know, say oh for them, it's like you know, getting into right right to them. Yeah, And we're like, no, what that's this has been it? So what's that been like?
00:36:01
Speaker 13: It's been an amazing experience to see something that we've done thirty years ago is now revelevant to this day. We realize fashion goes in circles, and what's old is new. So hip hop has a way of just transcendent time and moments. And the Baggie's back, and I'm so happy that. I know dudes are tired of the skinny jeans.
00:36:17
Speaker 2: So here we go. That's right.
00:36:19
Speaker 1: Hey, let me ask you about who are you dressing out here at the super Bowl?
00:36:25
Speaker 13: Yes, So the biggest thing we ever done were dressing Coco Jones.
00:36:29
Speaker 2: She's singing the national anthem. Wow, what a over here?
00:36:34
Speaker 13: Donovan Mitchell probably so so Donald gonna be got to represent So a friend of mine, son Car, came into the concept we're going to remix Whitney Houston's her national anthem, which.
00:36:44
Speaker 2: Is one of the all time, if not like America Jacket exactly.
00:36:48
Speaker 13: Can we redoing that with some vinure called Kanari be doing a whole remixing it by my style of sankara.
00:36:53
Speaker 2: So something is definitely looking forward to this. Oh, that's nice, that's nice, And what's it like?
00:36:56
Speaker 1: As far as you mentioned the marriage between hip hop and street style and really always making what's big in pop culture, yeah.
00:37:05
Speaker 13: Well, so put it this way, hip hop needed a clothing brand to represent hip hop at the time when we first started out, and we needed an avenue to get our clothing out there. So hip hop and clock Clan made a great marriage. And my brand is so popular international twenty foreign country because of hip hop.
00:37:18
Speaker 10: Ho.
00:37:18
Speaker 13: As the music grew, our clothing grew because the music comes with a style and as people listen to music, they want to feel the music and dress like the music. So the clothing kind of fit that as well.
00:37:26
Speaker 1: And how about where you today also working with Nil are you involved in that with the college scene?
00:37:33
Speaker 2: What is that about? Yes man?
00:37:34
Speaker 13: So, look, I was at the World Series with the Yankees and Dodgers, met Joaquin Black, sports agents sat next to me. He had no idea who clarklin I was. We just kidded off. He told me, got this young kid out of North Carolina Carwell High School, King Kendrick. This kid is nasty, he's nice. He's on Kyrie Irvin's travel team. Wow, and this kid is the future. We had to sign a deal with him because he is the best way to get our brand out to the new young Generation'll support him through his challenges going through high school, going into the college.
00:38:01
Speaker 2: Love it. It's beautiful. I do love that. Yeah.
00:38:03
Speaker 1: We sit here in February, Robin and I obviously at the Super Bowl yourself, and so it's a lot going on sports world, but it's also Black History Month? And what does that mean to you? Just we talked about thirty plus years being a black designer, and we know how hard business can be. Both of us are business owners as well. What's that just been? Like the journey? And I would imagine maybe where there are some pitfalls or challenges with maybe bigger brands or advertising, just any challenges you went through.
00:38:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we went through. We went through everything, ups and downs.
00:38:29
Speaker 1: You know.
00:38:29
Speaker 13: My thing is that failure is not an option and where we where we come from, where we come from, where we come from, You got to fear something. The most thing that we fear is failure. So that's what That's enough to get you up every morning, work them much harder.
00:38:40
Speaker 2: And only that too. We had opened up the doors of so many other young designers to go.
00:38:44
Speaker 13: Out there and do their thing, the food boos, the fat falls of Sean jol that we broke down those barriers to them, so we can't fail, we feel.
00:38:50
Speaker 2: What are we saying to the rest of the world.
00:38:52
Speaker 13: That's what we got to be successful is continue to drive for coming from the streets, having goals and accomplishing your dreams on a daily basis.
00:38:58
Speaker 2: And how big of a sports failing are you talking about you at the World Series? Like are you? I mean, like big time sports. I'm a diehard Yankees Okay, he won't tell you, no, I'm not. I'm a reporter called don't don't buy that.
00:39:13
Speaker 13: I am a diehard Yankees fan from back in the Greg Nettles, you know, Reggie Jackson.
00:39:17
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like that.
00:39:18
Speaker 13: I remember going to those games back there with my dad and his van. Man, it's amazing experience to do that following the team throughout the years. So Yankees and Giants, that's my team's right there.
00:39:26
Speaker 1: Okay, and Aaron Judge is the best baseball player. We're not trying to heart your hair to.
00:39:29
Speaker 2: See what I mean. That's what I'm talking about. What about the Knicks? Nicks? Oh yeah, oh yeah, let me tell about the Knick study. Okay. I had to like sort of get my heart out of the Knicks. They used to break my heart so sad they didn't last year to a lot of people. You remember that last year, you tell you funny story.
00:39:43
Speaker 13: We got to the point when day the nixt loss in the in the playoffs to the Chicago I believe it.
00:39:48
Speaker 2: Was, and I was so depressed. I didn't know why. I didn't know why it was feeling press And I watched the news of some of the Knicks players on vacation having a good time, and you were like, what about that?
00:39:58
Speaker 1: For that's a real thing. We talk about that all the time. I tell people that's a dirty secret for them. They care, but it's a job and the fans kicking the dog, breaking the TV.
00:40:08
Speaker 2: But we always talk about it.
00:40:09
Speaker 1: The word fan comes from fanatic, so fans that's why fans care and they live and die with their team. Otherwise this wouldn't all be possible, wouldn't be here if they had that attitude, they'd be like, I don't care. People really care, but a pleasure to talk to a legendary for sure.
00:40:26
Speaker 2: Design and listen, listen. You know, I'm just saying, you know, side large, you know, excel excel. So no, no, I'm slimming.
00:40:33
Speaker 1: I'm slimming excel saying if you want to style your boy out here.

00:01:20
Speaker 2: What did he say?
00:01:21
Speaker 1: He said it was a vicious rumor started by two million people living in cardboard boxes. Listen, I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie. I've been a couple of corners. It was kind of like, oh, look at soccer and Elijah. You know, Elijah's had enough. I ain't never seen Elijah leg. Elijah's had enough. His leg is up. He shaking his head, laughing. Don't talk, Alex, you didn't laugh. Fathers laughing. No, you can't do that. We're in public.
00:01:56
Speaker 2: Played again, Alex, Oh my gosh, don't do this again. This is this? What's face? Look? Manzi shout out that's right. Hey, hey, Alex, did you laugh? Rob if? I haven't heard that about seven million times? Actually, you know who did laugh from? Let me pot him up?
00:02:19
Speaker 1: Oh Chris last, Chris la Where is Chris anyway?

00:40:36
Speaker 2: I'm here. Let me officially. We need to do something. You know, we gotta do that. And Carl already knows.
