She even did a genre with the with Harriet the spy. She even did a little thing with Harry the Spy. I don't know the name of the movie. Right. But I saw the picture. She struggled a lot. I think I I think the last time I watched it was it was still on. Damn. I think I watched it was like last year. ⁓ wow. It was a good show. Yeah, and it was always a weird scheduled conflict too, because I think it came on Mondays. And then I always had to try to like always had to try to record it some type of way 'cause I was watching Monday Night Raw on Mondays. So I could never I only I could only watch heroes like starting Tuesday for any time between Tuesday and Wednesday. But you know. Am I off centered? Hold on. ⁓ good enough. I bought a camera stand. ⁓ Cause they my the camera shook a lot. So I bought a stand off Amazon. I'm trying to get it adjusted where I need it to be. Okay. I mean it it looks good, but then again I can't I'm not never the best judge at of something centered or Nah. There's usually lines or something. ⁓ yeah, I don't I ain't turn all that on. Screw it. So let's talk about somebody's casting. Yeah. First of all, ⁓ before before we jump in, we we so in typical fashion for the makeup of how our lives work. A lot of stuff happened like like effective immediately after we had to postpone the podcast. So like there was like tons of stuff that would have been amazing to talk about and The crazy thing is this people attention span, they don't remember. That's true. No. 'Cause so and then so much other stuff happened just like yeah like the past couple of days. So so it's it's fine. Like I I thought about that too. I was like, you know what? I'm trying to like put the visor on him and stuff. I'm like, all right, maybe, but then most of the majority of pictures, I'm like, I'd have to see this play out in order for me to make a decision. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can see him being a Scott Summers. But I can't see him being Scott Summers. You know what I mean? I can't see him acting that, you know, role. Yeah, there's a there's a stoic, you know leadership thing that you gotta ⁓ like he's a very very specific type of leader is ⁓ is Cyclops, like you know, more so than the leader of any other team, like the Avengers, like a Captain America or something like that. Like he's a different type of leader and is a different type of complexity. Will he be able to convey that? I don't know because I don't know him. I don't know his acting chops. So I can't say. So another person I don't know, Christopher Abbott, is Professor Xavier. Yeah, I won't I don't I don't know I don't know I don't know this guy. I ⁓ shoot, he was in ⁓ he was the foreigner and craven a hunter. So he already got a strike against him because he was got a got gigantic strike against him. Yeah by being in that horrible thing. But I don't know nothing about the ball. So one I I'm liking that they bring in people who I don't know. Right. It's less distracting. I like that. Yeah. So hold on, who is rogue? Rogue is Indy Navareti. Yeah, I don't I don't Yo. You know her? Yes. Okay. That's the girl the chick from Obsession. Okay. Yeah, she got it. Okay. For as for rogue. For rogue. Now we're not gonna get the the Fox rogue. We not that's out. Good, cause that was garbage. Rogue in the Fox X Men franchise was probably one of the most frustrating characters. Like that was I don't there was just a girl who had I didn't like s I didn't like the first off, you rogue. Why you got a gap? I She didn't have a lot of things. But she had a gap. She did have a gap. And there's nothing wrong with people with gaps in the keys. Don't get me wrong with that. No, yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's rogue. It's rogue. Like w what one of the baddest X-Men characters out there, you telling me Charles Xavier or somebody couldn't mind bend some braces on you? Really? I'm done with you. It gave her per it gave her that was the only thing that had that gave her personality because it damn sure wasn't the writing in that ⁓ in that franchise. So we got Storm played by Maya Boyd. Yes. Who is ⁓ from what I'm actress of X Men. Of an X wait, isn't she? No, I think she's from Broadway. She's Broadway? Yeah, I believe Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think she's I don't think she's done anything significant in front of a camera. Let me see what this young lady look like. I don't I don't know. Hold on, my my eyes is tearing up. Because Nathaniel X is the you know, i it before he transitions into the whole makeup and stuff. Well not makeup, but you know, the face paint. Right, right. Are we gonna get we gotta see you're not gonna get Adam Driver. I feel like maybe in the flashback or something, like we we s we see the origin of it. I don't know. We but yeah, you gotta see him. But listen. But he owned it. He did. Like if if if if confidence in whatever it is that you do in in not only your abilities, but just just anything through life. Mr. Sinister had it. I haven't liked everything he's been in. Okay. The Long Walk, very powerful movie. Alien Romulus, I hated his android portrayal. Yeah. So d there's I'm giving the kid a good like a young black man being T'Challa, taking on a mantle. All he had to do was stay away from white women. And what didn't he do? Stay away from white women. We're not gonna get into controversy right now. But you need to lock this kid away. Hey, so we keep these movies going. Right. 'Cause the maybe like I I'm I'm assuming I dun I have no idea where we're going with this, but maybe this is maybe Tachala two is the you know, is the one that meets up and, you know, has some type of Some type of correspondence with Maya Boyd's storm. Maybe we get maybe we get something. Now do we want her with him first or do we want her with Forge first? I think we're I think the world's just waiting for the storm Black Panther thing. So just do that. Just get that. Yeah, just just just just get on with that already. Now let me ask you a question. Was Ford Hispanic or Native American? I am leaning towards the Native American. Why the hell is Ryan Gosling Goose Rider? Who proved this? Okay, so I have I have I have I have things, I have feelings here. On one hand You know where I'm going. Mm-hmm. This has got to be. This has got to be This has got to be. Better than whatever steaming pile Of aged, dried up, and coagulated at the same time, simultaneously dried and coagulated horseshit that Nicolas Cage provided for us in Ghost Rider. And if you like that movie, you're a piece of garbage yourself. If you like both of them, you suck. But also on the other hand, there's also the Nicolas Cage effect, where it's like, ⁓ you know, Ryan Goslin really likes Ghost Rider. He really wanted to play Ghost Rider. So they're like, cool. You know, well, you know, isn't s same thing that happened with Nicolas Cage. ⁓ I like Ghost Rider. And they're like, Well, there you go. There you go. But I I have high hopes because it's not because it's not Nicolas Cage. Yeah. And it's it's a mar and then it's like, you know, we're we're in the MCU. So they gotta we gotta get we gotta have something better than Yeah. Like I've seen a lot of Ryan Gosling stuff. Like I remember him when he was on Are You Afraid of the Dark, Goosebumps? ⁓ my God. I've seen a notebook. ⁓ yeah. I had to. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Crazy Stupid Love. I've seen that. ⁓ The Place Beyond the Pines. Like he does a lot of sappy films. No, well Blade Runner twenty forty nine. That he w that was good. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Barbie, I saw it. I got a daughter. Seen it. You seen it. The Fall Guy wasn't wasn't for me. ⁓ Project Hell Mary, I have not seen it because it's not the type of science fiction I want. I don't care about all these emotions and feelings and stuff like that. I don't care that you're talking some rock alien in space. Like I just don't like nobody is not my type of sci fi. Now eventually will I watch it, of course. I just haven't been bored enough. Fair. To sit through Project Hell Married, but everybody raves and says a good is a a great film. Okay. But I don't won't care what nobody else say. Also more than more than fair. You know. But we got our legacy people coming back. We got Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. Mm-hmm. ⁓ Pat Stewart is coming back as ⁓ Professor X. We got Ian McCain as Magneto. We got James Martison coming back as Cyclops. ⁓ Rebecca Ramin is Mystique. We got ⁓ Alan Cummings is nightcrawler, Kelsey Grammar's coming back as Beast. ⁓ we really didn't need Shannon Tatum coming back as Gambit, but this is the gambit we have. Hey, look. I'm going to accept it. Yeah. a really cool interaction between him and Shang-Chi. So we'll see. We'll see. You know, like it you know, we'll see. We'll see how it plays out. We'll say I did see the Doomsday trailer. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I've never been more excited for a Marvel movie in my life. Yes. D I b b both trailers. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I I'm ⁓ the first one, it took me maybe four times to see it to be like All right. And then once I seen this one that just dropped after we got the the D twenty three or whatever. Yeah. ⁓ I was like, okay. Yeah. I'm I I'm I'm I'm accomplished. Yeah, I'm way you know I'm more aboard. Yeah. You know? Marvel announced that to prep yourself for the Avengers Doomsday. There's fifteen movies and TV series that you should be watching. Okay. X Men. X Two Captain America, the first Avenger, The Avengers, Infinity War, Infinity Avengers Endgame, Loki, Shang Chi, Spider Man No Way Home, Black Panda Wakanda Forever, ⁓ Captain America, Brave New World, Deadpool and Wolverine, Doctor Strange, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four. Mm-hmm. Was that the that was the original Doctor Strange or was that Multiverse of Madness? Multiverse of Madness. Okay. Yeah, I'm not yeah, I'm not watching these again. I ⁓ Here's the thing. I've put my time in. I've we've we I've seen them multiple times. I've seen every I've seen every last one of these movies more than once. Even the X-Men movies. Unfortunately, yes. Even the X-Men movies. All of them. I'm not doing it. I can't do the I can't do the X Men franchise anymore. Nah. I can't. I know but they are. I've seen ⁓ I've seen ⁓ enough. Because I you know, every now and then I I was doing that thing where I had to watch either the entire movie or parts of the movie to remember why I was as mad as I was initially and it never disappointed. I'm always I'm always still yeah, I'm always still that mad. And then you know, of course you got people ⁓ that you know, th that that's what we had. It was good, it was classic, they're classic movies, you know, the no Again, they have not fallen to the realm of classic movies. No. Yeah, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna treat those people exactly like the people, and they're probably the same people who like Nicolas Cage's Ghost Rider. Because when you sit there, you really look at the X-Men franchise, the Fox X-Men franchise, it sucked. It did. It sucked. A lot of people loved it. A lot of people loved it. You know, that's the thing. You can Appreci you can appreciate something. Yeah. But still recognize that it's gone that it's straight. Right, right. Do did I like seeing you know the X Men live action on the screen? Absolutely. Was I disappointed in what I saw? Absolutely. So you saw ⁓ I didn't see Spider Man 'cause I don't have no vision. Correct. You saw Spider Man brand new day. Mm-hmm. How'd you like it? I br I greatly enjoyed it. I thought it was a I thought it was a fantastic movie. You and everybody else. Yeah, I I thought it was really good. I will talk at na nauseum all the time, as you know, about Tom Holland's Spider Man. That the the the guy can do no wrong. And for everybody it's like, ⁓ it's just, you know, it's just it was just ⁓ he's just more the same. He didn't y well no, we got we got what we were supposed to get in terms of it being like a a grounded street love. Like there was more focus on him as a person and Spider-Man at the same time. Like we got we got that it felt like you're reading a Peter Parker slash Spider Man, like actual Peter Parker slash Spider-Man story. Mm-hmm. And, you know, just like how the world he's not interacting with all these other characters where he's coming into the bad luck. the Parker luck and all the things that befall him. Like, no, this is his this is his life here. We're like we're focusing on him. He's not branching out with of course, you know, the Punisher's there, but this is Spider Man's story. And, you know, it it was it it did its job. I was I was really, really, really pleased at at that. And I I would love to see more I would have liked to see more of the Rogues Gallery expanded 'cause we really just got like two seconds of like certain people and I'm like, damn, like if we'd have hung up on that one for a little longer it'd been great. But the what they told and, you know, everything they were just trying to go over like some things that people were complaining about. They know some people say, ⁓ there's no real villain in the movie. Yeah, there was a villain. Like it was it it was damage control themselves was the villain of the story, essentially. but yeah, it it was I g I give it I give it two thumbs up. It's not just because I'm a gigantic Spider Man fan, but the movie was good. No, like you're you're you're not the only one saying that. You know, Spider Man has reached two billion dollars in theaters. Yes. I hope all that gives you know 'cause this the nerd the this the fear is that as any point in time Tom Holland's just like, Yeah man, I've done this too much. No, the money too big fam. Right, right. And still young. Exactly. And the more it grows, but and it's like, no, like you're like you are the perfect like like he's perfect for Spider Man. Like he really is the perfect Spider Man. Spider Man week one made over nine hundred million dollars worldwide. Nine hundred million dollars. No, I'm sorry. Nine hundred and twenty-seven million dollars worldwide. It's insanity. First week. So they did the numbers. James Gunn, you suck. Your movies suck. Well, let's address this. Your total movies, Spider-Man, Supergirl, the Suicide Squad, all week one. If you combine all their week one worldwide sales, it totals nine hundred. 13.2 million dollars. That means Spider Man in week one made about fourteen million dollars more than all three of your movies, James Gunn. Now don't get me wrong. Spider Man Superman hater all day. Superman was good. Was a good movie. It was. I re I really, really liked it. Superman was great. Yeah. Supergirl, not so much. Yeah. Not so much. Yeah, yeah, no. I don't like I I think the comic book version of a crash out supergirl is much better and did not translate well to film. Yeah, no, I I w I will s I will a hundred percent say that. It was like I won't use I won't use cringy, but whatever the the slightly less equivalent of that is. See, he was hoping that people read that version of Supergirl. Mm-hmm. No. People like CW Supergirl. They really love yes. They ⁓ yeah. That's the if you would have made a CW ish Comedic, fun, everybody could come see it. Family girl power supergirl movie, you'd have pulled the kids in. Yeah. You would have pulled the kids in. Yeah, this movie would parents in. Come on, we're gonna go see Supergirl. You'll have fun with this movie. Mm-hmm. This Supergirl was would I let my daughter watch it? Yeah. But am I gonna be like, yo, this is a must see? No. No. I'm not. Well, right now she's hooked on And it is Spider-Versus. She's watched those all day. Okay. But like, that's just it's crazy. And the Suicide Squad. Is that the one with the weasel? The Suicide Squad? Yeah. This was that's why was the second one, right? I think so. Is that's horrible. I don't like Yes. The one with Will Smith had moment. But it wasn't a good movie. It was not, no. No. The the suicide the suicide squad with That was the Weasel. Yeah, that was the one with ⁓ with Idris album. It was Idris. Yeah. We had that's the one we got Peacemaker. Yeah, Johnson. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We had all that stuff. That was more entertaining. That was more entertaining. But w with D C DC has a lot to pick, you know, they they I think they're doing more quantity over quality. Yeah, and that's and I think that was the fear of everybody going into it too. We're like, look, it's DC, we got ⁓ a clean slate. And then with Super then when we got Superman, we're like, Okay, this is going in the right direction because Superman picking up. Really like Superman. People like Peacemaker. Peacemaker's good. So it's like, okay. And then, you know, we expand on that world, but then I too many liberties. So we got Clayface coming out September. ⁓ how did you enjoy the other the newest trailer that we got? Because we did get an updated trailer for Clayface. I'm I'm I'm getting more on board. Okay. I'm getting more on board with it. I'm I'm gonna watch it 'cause it's Clayface. I need to see how they do it. Mm hmm. We got Man of Tomorrow. Mm-hmm. I don't not sure about that. We'll see. The Batman Part 2. Mm-hmm. I'm be honest. I don't like Robert Patterson as Batman. Now, am I gonna like him as Chris Hansen? Yes. ⁓ you didn't know. Yeah, he's playing Chris Hansen. Predator? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Robert Patterson is playing Chris Hansen in the I. To catch a predator movie. There's a movie? There's a movie. Are we seriously? I 100%. What I'ma send you the trailer when we done. One hundred percent. I've been Where have I been? ⁓ wait, where where is it? Where is it? Cause I've been watching tons of Chris Hansen videos like on like TikTok and stuff like that. Like those things are For the content is is not good because people are not cool. People are horrible people, but the fact that you know Chris Hansen is on on top of those things and on top of those people is great. But what share? Share, share. I'm I'm sorry, ⁓ my my eyes ain't moving fast enough. Bam, you just got the eight twenty four trailer sent to you for eight twenty four Chris Hansen movie. It just came in. Yes, sir. What?
