Ever feel like your reactions run you before you get a say? We dig into the real engine behind your results—your thoughts—and map how outside inputs like news, social media, and even loving family advice can, through repetition, hardwire beliefs that shape every choice you make. Instead of blaming willpower, we walk through a clearer model: inputs create thoughts, thoughts repeated become programs, and programs filter your world until they feel like facts.
We get practical about spotting those inputs in real time: the headline that spikes fear, the feed that sparks comparison, the song that trains you to expect heartbreak. You’ll learn how activation loops work—why one negative comment can trigger years of stored ideas—and how to interrupt them without shaming yourself. From early money warnings to report-card labels, we unpack how childhood messages still echo in adult careers, relationships, and risk-taking. Then we shift to tools: build a mental firewall, add friction to doomscrolling, set conversation boundaries, and intentionally feed your mind with sources that match the life you want.
Change starts small. We share a simple assignment: cut one negative input this week and install one empowering thought you actually believe, rehearsed at consistent times. Pair it with tiny proof—invoice a bit faster, make a micro-offer, or track acts of kindness—to create evidence for your new program. You’re not your limiting beliefs; you’re the author who chooses the code. If this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs it, and leave a quick review so more people can find these tools. What’s the one input you’ll cut first?

00:00:32.829 --> 00:00:39.869
Today, what we're going to focus on is a book that is called The Master Key System by Charles Hinnell.
00:00:40.030 --> 00:00:46.829
And what I want to focus on this week is specifically the idea of our thoughts.
00:00:47.070 --> 00:00:50.670
Our thoughts control every single thing in our life.
00:00:50.989 --> 00:01:04.430
So if you have a relationship and you're not happy in your relationship, the reason you're not getting the results that you want is because of the way you're thinking about the relationship.
00:01:04.590 --> 00:01:14.189
If you don't have the money in the bank account that you want, the reason for that is the way you think about money.
00:01:14.670 --> 00:01:23.549
If you don't have the job or the business operating the way that you want it to be, the result isn't what you want.
00:01:24.269 --> 00:01:29.150
The reason it's like that is because of the way you think about it.
00:01:29.390 --> 00:01:39.390
If you don't have something in your life that you want, the only reason that you don't have it is because of the way that you're thinking about it.
00:01:39.469 --> 00:01:41.469
And that's what we're going to dive into today.
00:01:41.629 --> 00:01:54.829
And I want to just keep it really simple and discuss it from a very visual, easy way for us to understand it so that we can then take it and start applying it in our life.
00:01:54.989 --> 00:02:09.230
So when I say out loud to you that the only reason that you have results in your life that you don't like, do you believe it when I say to you that it's due to your thinking and thoughts?
00:02:09.469 --> 00:02:12.909
Thoughts are the root cause of everything in your life.
00:02:13.069 --> 00:02:22.110
In other words, if you're trying to find the cause of the effect in your life, the cause is always thoughts.
00:02:22.349 --> 00:02:27.709
There's no deeper source to go to other than the thoughts that we're thinking.
00:02:27.870 --> 00:02:29.949
Let's talk about this for a moment.
00:02:30.189 --> 00:02:33.550
How do our thoughts normally work in our mind?
00:02:33.709 --> 00:02:42.189
In other words, where do these thoughts and ideas, idea is just a collection of thoughts, but where do these thoughts and ideas come from?
00:02:42.430 --> 00:02:45.230
There's two ways that we can get thoughts.
00:02:45.389 --> 00:02:49.310
And the first way is from outside of ourself.
00:02:49.550 --> 00:02:51.069
What does that mean?
00:02:51.629 --> 00:03:00.110
Well, anything that's outside of our body and outside of our mind in the outside world is where thoughts can be generated.
00:03:00.269 --> 00:03:03.629
So let's use some examples so we're abundantly clear.
00:03:03.870 --> 00:03:15.230
You turn on the news, whether it's Fox or MSNBC or any other channel, and they start talking about a specific opinion.
00:03:15.469 --> 00:03:17.469
Will that generate thoughts in your mind?
00:03:17.790 --> 00:03:27.550
In other words, imagine you like Trump or you don't like Trump, and they either start talking about Trump in a way that you like or that you don't like.
00:03:27.949 --> 00:03:30.509
Will that generate thoughts in your mind?
00:03:31.149 --> 00:03:34.269
What type of thoughts will it generate for you?
00:03:34.430 --> 00:03:38.269
Will it generate positive thinking or negative thinking?
00:03:38.750 --> 00:03:47.790
The point is, it's that source outside of ourselves, the TV, that's causing us to have these thoughts.
00:03:48.189 --> 00:03:50.029
Let's use some more examples.
00:03:50.269 --> 00:04:00.029
How about we're talking to a group of friends and we're telling them about an idea that we have for a business, and they say to us, that is a terrible idea.
00:04:00.189 --> 00:04:01.310
That'll never work.
00:04:01.469 --> 00:04:03.629
There's no chance that ever is going to work.
00:04:03.870 --> 00:04:06.750
Will that potentially generate some thoughts in your mind?
00:04:06.910 --> 00:04:11.469
Will those thoughts be positive thoughts or will they be negative thoughts?
00:04:11.709 --> 00:04:23.310
How about you take out your phone, you start scrolling on social media, you're on Instagram, and you see something on there.
00:04:23.469 --> 00:04:33.069
You see a family member or a friend just got a brand new house, just got a brand new car, just got a brand new job, just got something that you don't have.
00:04:33.230 --> 00:04:35.230
Will that cause you to start having thoughts?
00:04:35.389 --> 00:04:37.709
And then what kind of thoughts will they be?
00:04:37.949 --> 00:04:41.310
Will they be positive thoughts or negative thoughts?
00:04:41.550 --> 00:05:00.269
What you'll find is that a majority of the thoughts that come from the outside world that are generated from things that we're seeing, hearing, smelling, or tasting in the outside world, things that are generated outside, for the most part, can be negative.
00:05:00.750 --> 00:05:17.629
So if that's the case, if we know that thoughts are generated from the outside world, from outside of us, from friends, from family members, from television, from radio, from social media, from any source like that.
00:05:17.870 --> 00:05:29.389
And we also know that generally speaking, that specific source, whether it's TV, radio, social media, is generating negative thoughts for us consistently.
00:05:29.629 --> 00:05:35.709
What might we want to do to prevent these kind of thoughts from taking over in our mind?
00:05:35.949 --> 00:05:50.029
I can hear what you're thinking, and that is, well, we probably would want to cut off some of those areas and protect ourselves from sources that are going to cause us to think in a negative way.
00:05:50.430 --> 00:05:53.870
Now, here's something really important to understand.
00:05:54.669 --> 00:05:57.069
We have these sources, they're outside of us.
00:05:57.229 --> 00:06:00.909
They tend to cause us these positive and negative thoughts.
00:06:01.310 --> 00:06:05.709
The thing is, how long have you been watching television for?
00:06:05.870 --> 00:06:08.669
How many years have you been watching the news?
00:06:09.149 --> 00:06:12.349
How long have you lived with family and friends?
00:06:12.909 --> 00:06:14.430
How about social media?
00:06:14.589 --> 00:06:17.709
How often during the day are you scrolling on it?
00:06:18.189 --> 00:06:22.990
What's happening is when let's use social media as an example.
00:06:23.229 --> 00:06:32.109
Social media, we keep seeing something on social media about how being overweight is a bad thing.
00:06:32.269 --> 00:06:36.829
And you see all these perfect people as you're scrolling on social media.
00:06:37.149 --> 00:06:40.509
It generates these thoughts of, I'm not good enough.
00:06:40.669 --> 00:06:42.029
Why don't I look like that?
00:06:42.189 --> 00:06:44.029
Why don't I have these things?
00:06:44.269 --> 00:06:54.909
And when that thought is generated over and over and over again because we're scrolling and scrolling and scrolling, what do you think happens in our mind?
00:06:56.109 --> 00:06:57.870
Good news, I'm going to tell you.
00:06:58.109 --> 00:07:05.949
What happens is those thoughts, because we're hearing them over and over and we're thinking them over and over, they become a program.
00:07:07.229 --> 00:07:17.229
Just like if you have a computer and it's programmed so that when you press the enter key and you're in your word processing program, it'll go to the next paragraph.
00:07:17.469 --> 00:07:19.469
It's programmed to do that.
00:07:19.709 --> 00:07:28.589
So, in the only way you could change that around is if someone would rewrite the program for your computer so that it tells the enter key to do something different.
00:07:28.909 --> 00:07:31.149
We're very similar to the computer.
00:07:31.469 --> 00:07:39.550
What happens is we have these things from scrolling, from watching the news, these thoughts that come consistently.
00:07:39.709 --> 00:07:41.709
The world is a really negative place.
00:07:41.870 --> 00:07:50.430
You're watching the news, you're seeing people getting killed, you're seeing fires, you're seeing people getting raped, all these negative things.
00:07:50.589 --> 00:07:56.669
And what happens is because you have formed this idea, wow, this world's a pretty bad place.
00:07:56.829 --> 00:08:09.709
There's a lot of bad people in the world, and you think that a lot because you've been watching the television a lot, and you've been seeing that message over and over again, that creates a program in your mind.
00:08:10.189 --> 00:08:27.229
And the problem is when that program is formed and it's installed in your operating system, in your computer, in your brain, in your subconscious mind, now what happens is that program can be triggered anytime.
00:08:27.469 --> 00:08:28.669
Well, what do I mean?
00:08:28.909 --> 00:08:30.109
This is what I mean.
00:08:30.430 --> 00:08:41.070
Imagine that you've been programmed with the idea that the world is a pretty bad place because you've been watching on the news over and over that, you know, seeing all these negative things.
00:08:41.230 --> 00:08:44.909
So you have this program inside that says the world is a negative place.
00:08:45.710 --> 00:08:53.710
Then you're out with a friend and they say something about a person who did a negative thing to someone else.
00:08:54.430 --> 00:08:56.029
Do you know what happens?
00:08:56.269 --> 00:08:58.110
What do you think happens?
00:08:58.509 --> 00:09:05.790
That program that you have inside of your mind that says the world is a bad place gets activated.
00:09:06.030 --> 00:09:10.430
And when that program gets activated, what do you think happens?
00:09:10.590 --> 00:09:15.310
Do you think you think more thoughts like that or less thoughts like that?
00:09:15.629 --> 00:09:18.910
Well, obviously the answer is you think more thoughts like that.
00:09:19.150 --> 00:09:28.509
And the more thoughts you think like that, what is it doing to that program that's already installed that says this world is a bad place?
00:09:28.990 --> 00:09:37.070
The more thoughts you have, which agree with this world is a bad place, guess what's happening to that program?
00:09:37.629 --> 00:09:40.750
The program's getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
00:09:40.910 --> 00:09:48.110
It's sort of like a snowball that's rolling down a hill and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
00:09:48.430 --> 00:10:02.590
The more that we have thoughts, the more that the outside world triggers that program that's inside of our mind and it generates these negative thoughts, the more that program expands like the snowball.
00:10:02.670 --> 00:10:06.590
The bigger it gets, the stronger it gets, the more powerful it gets.
00:10:07.310 --> 00:10:08.590
And guess what?
00:10:08.830 --> 00:10:10.830
You don't have to do anything.
00:10:11.150 --> 00:10:25.150
Because it's a program that's installed, what's happened is now anytime anything comes close to looking like the world is a bad place, that program's going to be activated.
00:10:25.389 --> 00:10:32.830
And all of those thoughts that were generated over all the years about how the world is a bad place will be activated.
00:10:33.070 --> 00:10:41.629
And no matter what you see with your eyes in the outside world, it will appear that this world is a very bad place.
00:10:42.110 --> 00:10:44.750
Why is this so important to understand?
00:10:45.710 --> 00:10:55.710
The reason it's important is did you choose to decide one day that this world is a bad place, that there is bad people living in this world?
00:10:56.190 --> 00:10:58.190
In other words, did you wake up one morning?
00:10:58.430 --> 00:11:08.990
Imagine you haven't watched any television, you were just kind of born into this world, but you have the ability to think, you're not a child, you you were born with the ability to think right away.
00:11:09.070 --> 00:11:10.430
It was a miracle.
00:11:11.070 --> 00:11:18.110
Would you think that this world is a bad place without having any knowledge of anything else?
00:11:18.270 --> 00:11:20.030
And the answer is no.
00:11:20.509 --> 00:11:42.270
But what happens is we turn on the television, we watch TV, we watch the news, we scroll on social media, we go on X, we look at all these sources that are giving us, based on an algorithm, they're giving us more of what it is that we are already programmed with.
00:11:42.509 --> 00:11:53.470
So if I'm programmed with this world is a bad place, or there's a million conspiracy theories out there, not to say that there aren't conspiracy theories, there probably are.
00:11:53.710 --> 00:12:15.310
But if I'm programmed that way, then every single time that I see anything that looks close to that, all those thoughts that have been stored in my mind, all of those ideas that I've heard and seen and watched, they're all going to be activated, and I am going to see the world from that perspective.
00:12:15.550 --> 00:12:18.910
The good news in all of this is you were programmed.
00:12:19.310 --> 00:12:23.150
You were programmed by all of these outside sources.
00:12:23.470 --> 00:12:28.509
You did not choose to have these kind of ideas and thoughts.
00:12:28.750 --> 00:12:33.389
They were programmed and they were programmed by outside sources.
00:12:33.629 --> 00:12:44.830
Listen, if you grow up in a family that is very negative about money, what do you think the chances are that you might be negative about money?
00:12:45.230 --> 00:12:49.230
Obviously, there's a very good chance that that's going to occur.
00:12:49.550 --> 00:13:00.430
Because if you're hearing all the time when you're younger that you better be careful, don't spend too much, don't waste money, money doesn't grow on trees, money's not easy to come by.
00:13:00.670 --> 00:13:06.990
If you hear that message over and over, what program gets formed in your mind?
00:13:07.150 --> 00:13:08.270
I know you know the answer.
00:13:08.430 --> 00:13:10.590
And that program is negative.
00:13:10.830 --> 00:13:13.310
The program is money is hard to come by.
00:13:13.470 --> 00:13:29.710
And if you have that program stored in your mind and you decide, I really want to buy that new thing, but then you have this program that gets activated because this is your program that's installed about money.
00:13:30.030 --> 00:13:35.230
You might not get that thing that you want because of the program that's installed.
00:13:35.389 --> 00:13:44.990
Now, sometimes that's a good thing, but there's many times it's not good because I actually shouldn't use the word good.
00:13:45.150 --> 00:13:48.190
It's not something that we would want to have happen.
00:13:48.430 --> 00:13:56.110
We don't want our programming to automate, especially programs that we didn't choose to have installed.
00:13:56.270 --> 00:14:11.550
If I have programs about relationships, about money, about job and career, about health and wellness, if I have those and they're installed and I'm not aware that I have these programs installed, it's a problem.
00:14:12.030 --> 00:14:25.150
Because what's what's essentially going to happen as I move forward in my life is that I'm going to react to the world based on the programming that I have been programmed with over the years.
00:14:25.470 --> 00:14:27.150
Does this make sense?
00:14:27.629 --> 00:14:28.990
This isn't a bad thing.
00:14:29.150 --> 00:14:30.110
This is a good thing.
00:14:30.270 --> 00:14:40.030
The reason it's good is because we are now becoming aware that there are programs that are installed in our mind, just like there are programs that are installed on the computer.
00:14:40.190 --> 00:14:49.230
And here's the question: if you have a program that's installed on your computer and you don't like it and you want to do something about it, what do you do?
00:14:49.550 --> 00:14:59.790
Well, if you're not good on computers, you hire someone, they write a program, and that program will now do something differently because it's been reprogrammed.
00:15:00.670 --> 00:15:02.509
Here's the question for you.
00:15:03.310 --> 00:15:06.750
Do you think that you can be reprogrammed?
00:15:06.990 --> 00:15:18.750
Do you think that these ideas, these thoughts, these programs that you have installed in your mind, in your brain, in your subconscious mind, do you think those can be reprogrammed?
00:15:18.910 --> 00:15:21.710
Or do you think you're just stuck like that forever?
00:15:21.870 --> 00:15:27.470
The good news is you're not stuck like that forever unless you're not aware.
00:15:27.710 --> 00:15:32.030
The good news is they can be reprogrammed.
00:15:32.590 --> 00:15:39.470
But what we need to understand is that it's the thoughts that generate everything.
00:15:39.629 --> 00:15:42.670
It's the thoughts that create the programs.
00:15:42.910 --> 00:15:47.790
And the thoughts are coming from these outside sources.
00:15:47.950 --> 00:15:50.190
That's what we're there's two sources.
00:15:50.509 --> 00:15:52.750
One of them is the outside sources.
00:15:52.830 --> 00:15:53.150
Okay.
00:15:53.470 --> 00:15:57.070
That's where a lot of the thoughts that we have are generated.
00:15:57.550 --> 00:16:01.790
We see someone judge another person.
00:16:02.750 --> 00:16:05.230
We have thoughts that pop up in our mind.
00:16:05.950 --> 00:16:16.270
We see someone in front of us driving a car very slowly, well under the speed limit, we're behind them.
00:16:17.150 --> 00:16:19.070
Does that generate thoughts for you?
00:16:19.790 --> 00:16:23.710
It might generate thoughts like what in the world's going on?
00:16:23.870 --> 00:16:26.270
Move, hurry up, move faster.
00:16:26.590 --> 00:16:26.990
Right?
00:16:27.230 --> 00:16:29.389
It is automatic.
00:16:29.710 --> 00:16:43.470
And if we don't understand what's happening, if we don't understand the programs that are installed, then what we're gonna do is we're going to react to life from today forever.
00:16:43.629 --> 00:16:46.350
And again, it's not our fault.
00:16:46.830 --> 00:16:49.389
Did anyone ever teach you this in school?
00:16:50.030 --> 00:16:54.670
Did your parents or friends or family members ever talk to you about this stuff?
00:16:55.070 --> 00:17:00.270
Maybe you saw a video, maybe you went to a seminar and they they talked about it a little bit.
00:17:00.750 --> 00:17:07.069
But for the most part, if you go and you start talking to people and you ask them, where do their thoughts come from?
00:17:07.230 --> 00:17:13.710
And are there programs installed that is causing them to react to life, what do you think they would say?
00:17:14.109 --> 00:17:15.629
They would say, no, what are you talking about?
00:17:15.789 --> 00:17:17.230
I don't, I've never heard of that.
00:17:17.549 --> 00:17:18.269
What do you mean?
00:17:18.430 --> 00:17:24.269
The reason I can tell you that this is true is because I talk to people every single day about their thoughts.
00:17:24.750 --> 00:17:29.869
And most people are just not really clear on what's going on.
00:17:30.190 --> 00:17:43.149
Most people are living, and this isn't a bad thing, but they're living like a robot because what's happening is the reactions are occurring based on the programming that's installed in their mind.
00:17:43.389 --> 00:17:47.309
And so we really need to become aware first of the process.
00:17:47.470 --> 00:17:50.509
We need to become aware of where the programming is coming from.
00:17:50.669 --> 00:18:07.230
And again, we said that it's coming from the news, it's coming from TV, it's coming from radio, it's coming from friends, it's coming from family members, it's coming from social media, it's coming from anything that exists outside of us that we are seeing with our hearing with our senses.
00:18:07.389 --> 00:18:12.589
We're picking up things from the outside world and it's doing one of two things.
00:18:12.829 --> 00:18:28.189
It's either causing us to have thoughts which will create a new program, or a program's already installed, which is the case for most of us, and it's causing that program to get stronger and stronger and stronger.
00:18:28.669 --> 00:18:35.149
So if you're wanting to do something in your life, you want to start that new business.
00:18:35.309 --> 00:18:42.829
You want to go off on your own and get your own, you know, uh shop, but it's gonna cost you more money to do that.
00:18:42.990 --> 00:18:45.949
And there's a fear if this doesn't work out.
00:18:46.349 --> 00:18:52.990
That thought process, what if this doesn't work out, is coming from programs.
00:18:53.549 --> 00:18:57.230
It wasn't something that you decided one day, hey, you know what?
00:18:57.309 --> 00:19:08.909
I'm gonna start believing from this day forward that if I want to go do something that I may not have the money or it may not work out, I might be a failure, I might not be good enough.
00:19:09.069 --> 00:19:13.309
That's not something that you would choose on your own.
00:19:13.629 --> 00:19:21.389
Unfortunately, when we're born into this world, we start getting programmed literally immediately.
00:19:21.629 --> 00:19:26.429
Our parents are telling us all the time stop, be careful, don't do that.
00:19:26.589 --> 00:19:28.189
And they have right to do that.
00:19:28.349 --> 00:19:31.549
It's not like we're judging them for doing what they did.
00:19:31.869 --> 00:19:36.189
Their thought process was, I want to protect and take care of my child.
00:19:36.429 --> 00:19:39.309
However, it's causing programs.
00:19:39.470 --> 00:19:41.309
And some of those programs are good, right?
00:19:41.389 --> 00:19:45.710
Some of those programs may prevent you as a child from getting burnt on the stove.
00:19:45.869 --> 00:19:54.509
At the same time, some of the programs may prevent you from being more confident for taking risks, for doing things that you want to do.
00:19:54.750 --> 00:20:11.069
Because if you're programmed to be timid and fearful, then anytime you have the opportunity to take a risk to do something that may benefit you, that timidness and that fear, that program will be activated.
00:20:11.230 --> 00:20:13.069
And what do you think is going to happen?
00:20:13.389 --> 00:20:17.629
It might prevent you from doing the things that you really want to do.
00:20:17.789 --> 00:20:21.549
And not because you really thought about it.
00:20:21.789 --> 00:20:27.629
It was a program that was installed that ran and created your thoughts.
00:20:28.429 --> 00:20:30.109
They created your thoughts.
00:20:30.269 --> 00:20:32.829
You didn't create them, they created it.
00:20:32.990 --> 00:20:52.909
Whoever you got that from, friends, family, news, radio, TV, social media, whatever the source outside of you, some point, someone said something enough times that you believed it is true and it got programmed, and that program was forming your mind.
00:20:53.069 --> 00:20:54.349
A perfect example.
00:20:54.589 --> 00:20:56.669
What happens when you go to school?
00:20:56.909 --> 00:21:02.589
Well, some of us are very intelligent and book smart and we do extremely well.
00:21:02.829 --> 00:21:04.589
But I wasn't one of those.
00:21:04.829 --> 00:21:14.589
I was the kid that was in class that couldn't pay attention, that couldn't focus because I didn't enjoy the topics that were being taught to me.
00:21:14.909 --> 00:21:19.389
There were some classes I loved, but most of the time I didn't enjoy them.
00:21:19.549 --> 00:21:42.349
And then we would have a quiz and I would get a grade back, and it wouldn't be a good grade, and I would see my friend, he got a great grade, and I would compare myself to him, and I would say, well, because I've got this grade, something that came from the outside and came to me, that must mean I am not as good as my friend, that I'm stupid.
00:21:42.589 --> 00:21:44.990
This is how the programs get formed.
00:21:45.230 --> 00:21:49.230
But again, there's no one there at the time to teach us.
00:21:49.389 --> 00:21:57.869
The teacher doesn't say to us, at least most teachers don't say this, that, hey, look, you know what?
00:21:58.029 --> 00:21:59.389
You took that test.
00:21:59.789 --> 00:22:01.389
What was really going on?
00:22:01.710 --> 00:22:05.230
Does that really indicate or mean that you're not smart?
00:22:05.470 --> 00:22:06.589
Absolutely not.
00:22:06.750 --> 00:22:08.669
Again, this is the teacher telling you.
00:22:08.829 --> 00:22:10.189
Imagine if the teacher said this.
00:22:10.269 --> 00:22:11.789
It doesn't mean that you're not smart.
00:22:11.949 --> 00:22:16.429
It just means maybe, you know, you don't really enjoy this material.
00:22:16.909 --> 00:22:21.149
Maybe it's that you weren't feeling well the day of the test.
00:22:21.309 --> 00:22:26.029
Maybe it's that you didn't study enough because you weren't really enjoying it.
00:22:26.189 --> 00:22:37.309
But if they gave us the idea that the fact that we didn't do well on the test didn't have anything to do with us, meaning it didn't have mean that we weren't good or we were stupid or anything like that.
00:22:37.389 --> 00:22:42.509
It didn't mean that we were that limiting belief, wouldn't that have been amazing?
00:22:42.750 --> 00:22:45.949
Because as a child, we would have realized that no, it's not that.
00:22:46.189 --> 00:22:48.509
It just has to do with something else.
00:22:48.750 --> 00:22:51.230
But no one trained us that way.
00:22:51.949 --> 00:23:09.230
So if we weren't trained that way, then what happened was we became completely reactive to our environment because we were constantly being programmed by all the sources, by news, TV, radio, friends, family, social media.
00:23:09.389 --> 00:23:11.069
Why do I keep repeating them?
00:23:11.230 --> 00:23:15.149
Because here's what I really would love you to start to focus on.
00:23:15.629 --> 00:23:20.909
What sources of those are you focused on the most?
00:23:21.069 --> 00:23:30.990
Now, for most people today, and you see it, you go out to a restaurant and you're with you, you look at a family sitting at the dinner table.
00:23:31.549 --> 00:23:40.509
Most of them are on their phones and they're scrolling and they're looking and they're doing this and they're pointing at their phone to a friend, you know, the person at the table to look at.
00:23:40.750 --> 00:23:42.750
We're being programmed.
00:23:43.309 --> 00:23:44.750
We're being programmed.
00:23:45.149 --> 00:23:49.149
Again, just having the awareness that that's happening is everything.
00:23:49.470 --> 00:24:14.429
Just listening to this, what we just talked about today so far, just having this awareness is key because what it's going to tell you is that all the results that you currently have in your life, all the feelings that you feel on a consistent basis, the anxiety, worry, doubt, fear, all of those things are happening because you've been programmed.
00:24:14.589 --> 00:24:15.629
It's not your fault.
00:24:15.789 --> 00:24:16.750
We're amazing.
00:24:16.990 --> 00:24:23.389
We came here to our bodies as this perfection, and we are that way.
00:24:23.869 --> 00:24:27.230
We were just programmed to believe that we weren't.
00:24:27.389 --> 00:24:39.309
And it's interesting because most of our life, what we spend doing, is spend time trying to figure out how we can go back to what we were when we came here, which is perfection.
00:24:39.470 --> 00:24:42.349
And you really don't have to go back to anything.
00:24:42.509 --> 00:25:00.029
What we really need to do is realize that anytime we have some kind of negative concept of ourself, it's only because of the programming that occurred that came from outside of us, and the repetition of that message caused us to have these beliefs.
00:25:00.269 --> 00:25:04.909
A belief is a bunch of ideas or thoughts, right?
00:25:05.149 --> 00:25:08.189
That that happen over and over again.
00:25:08.429 --> 00:25:11.869
It becomes formed into this program called a belief.
00:25:12.029 --> 00:25:17.389
And these beliefs or programs are super powerful, they control our every move.
00:25:18.029 --> 00:25:26.669
So going back to what we originally started with, our thought, we have these thoughts that come in.
00:25:27.710 --> 00:25:36.269
If we aren't careful about which thoughts we let in from the outside, what do you think is going to happen?
00:25:36.429 --> 00:25:50.269
What's going to happen is what's been happening and continue happening is you're going to keep getting reprogrammed with new programs and other programs that already exist will get stronger and stronger and stronger.
00:25:50.429 --> 00:25:57.149
And you will feel stuck in life because you keep replaying these programs over and over.
00:25:57.389 --> 00:25:59.149
You keep replaying the program.
00:25:59.309 --> 00:26:00.349
I'm not good enough.
00:26:01.949 --> 00:26:03.069
I can't do this.
00:26:03.309 --> 00:26:05.149
People are way better than me.
00:26:05.389 --> 00:26:12.829
And we go into this comparison game, and it never works because we are in reactive mode.
00:26:14.269 --> 00:26:18.829
So, what are your thoughts on what I'm discussing so far?
00:26:18.990 --> 00:26:29.309
We've really just discussed one little piece of this, and I think I'm going to end it fairly soon on this, and we'll pick up next week, continuing where we left off.
00:26:29.470 --> 00:26:33.069
But why is this so important for you to hear today?
00:26:33.789 --> 00:26:37.309
What's a takeaway that you're going to take away from today?
00:26:37.549 --> 00:26:42.750
One might be, gosh, I've had these beliefs about myself.
00:26:42.990 --> 00:26:50.750
I've had these negative beliefs about myself, and they were all formed from coming from the outside world.
00:26:50.990 --> 00:26:54.189
Now, I want to just add this one piece.
00:26:55.309 --> 00:26:59.309
We talked about there being two sources to our thoughts.
00:26:59.549 --> 00:27:04.109
One is from the outside world, which we've discussed a lot today.
00:27:04.669 --> 00:27:20.349
The other is our internal thought process, which happens without the influence of the outside world, without the influence of news, TV, radio, friends, family, social media.
00:27:20.509 --> 00:27:22.669
Now, let me ask you this question.
00:27:22.990 --> 00:27:33.710
How many of you have thoughts internally that were not somehow influenced by one of those sources outside?
00:27:34.109 --> 00:27:35.629
It's not a bad thing.
00:27:35.869 --> 00:27:39.149
Again, we're becoming aware of what's happening to us.
00:27:39.389 --> 00:27:46.029
But most of the thoughts that we decide to have on our own come from out there.
00:27:46.349 --> 00:28:00.429
But when we realize and become aware that that's the case, what we start to do is we want to start guarding the that outside world from coming into our mind.
00:28:01.149 --> 00:28:01.549
Right?
00:28:01.710 --> 00:28:07.230
If we knew that there's all this virus out there, what would we do?
00:28:07.470 --> 00:28:13.149
We would build layers to protect ourselves from wearing, if from getting these viruses.
00:28:13.309 --> 00:28:14.750
We'd put on a mask.
00:28:14.909 --> 00:28:18.349
We try to prevent that thing that's on the outside coming in.
00:28:18.509 --> 00:28:34.829
If we were a computer and we were worried about someone getting onto the computer, we would put a firewall or we put virus software and we put that on the computer to protect from that outside world coming in and impacting us.
00:28:35.710 --> 00:28:45.549
So might it make sense that we should do the same thing when it comes to being programmed from the outside world?
00:28:45.789 --> 00:28:55.710
Might it make sense that we put protection in place from the news, from the TV, from the radio, from our friends, from our family, from social media?
00:28:55.869 --> 00:29:06.750
Might it make sense that we put something there to protect so that their programming doesn't come in and affect the current programs that are already there?
00:29:06.909 --> 00:29:11.069
And even more importantly, they don't create new programs inside of us.
00:29:11.230 --> 00:29:21.549
Because if they do, are we living in a reactive world or are we living in a world where we're gonna be more responsive rather than reactive?
00:29:21.789 --> 00:29:30.509
And the answer is unless we put these blocks in place, unless we're aware of it first, right?
00:29:30.589 --> 00:29:33.549
We've got to be aware first what's going on.
00:29:33.710 --> 00:29:36.829
Then secondly, we have to put these blocks in place.
00:29:37.069 --> 00:29:49.869
Whether it's social media blocks, whether it's certain family members that are always negative about certain things, we got to be aware that when they're talking, we got to be really careful about being around them when they're talking that way.
00:29:50.109 --> 00:29:55.789
Or we've got to be thinking something completely different as they're speaking about that negative thing.
00:29:56.269 --> 00:30:08.349
We've got to block out that negativity because if we don't do that, it's going to continue to cause these programs that are internal to grow and to get stronger and really take control of us.
00:30:08.829 --> 00:30:11.789
So this week's assignment would be this.
00:30:12.189 --> 00:30:20.349
Let's try to figure out one area, whether it's social media, news, TV, radio, friends, family, one area.
00:30:20.589 --> 00:30:24.189
Maybe it's a specific friend that you hang out with, it's always negative.
00:30:24.429 --> 00:30:32.669
Maybe it's I've been scrolling like for five hours on social media, and perhaps that's causing me to.
00:30:33.149 --> 00:30:35.389
Have these programs.
00:30:35.549 --> 00:30:44.669
So maybe what you do is you say, all right, rather than doing five hours of social media this week, or today, I'm going to do one hour less.
00:30:44.909 --> 00:30:50.029
Rather than spend an hour with that friend, I'm going to spend 20 minutes with that friend.
00:30:50.189 --> 00:30:51.949
Set up a system that works.
00:30:52.109 --> 00:30:54.269
Don't try to fix this all at once.
00:30:54.509 --> 00:31:02.109
If you think that you're going to be able to go out and block everything, I'm going to turn off the TV, I'm not going to watch the news.
00:31:02.269 --> 00:31:03.949
I'm not going to listen to the radio.
00:31:04.109 --> 00:31:06.269
I'm not going to interact with friends and family.
00:31:06.349 --> 00:31:08.429
And I'm off of all social media.
00:31:08.669 --> 00:31:11.710
What I can tell you is it's never going to work that way.
00:31:11.869 --> 00:31:12.589
You know that.
00:31:12.909 --> 00:31:16.909
If you if you try to do anything all at once, it doesn't work.
00:31:17.069 --> 00:31:20.189
So we just take very small steps.
00:31:20.589 --> 00:31:23.470
One step is we're aware of what's happening now.
00:31:23.629 --> 00:31:34.829
We're aware that programming, these thoughts that are constantly coming in, which when they come in are creating a program inside of us, they're coming from the outside world.
00:31:35.309 --> 00:31:43.069
So I'm going to be very aware of that and start paying attention to where could I have gotten that program about not being good enough?
00:31:43.230 --> 00:31:50.029
Where could I have gotten that program about how relationships are terrible and, you know, women are this and men are that?
00:31:50.189 --> 00:31:52.029
Where did I get that idea from?
00:31:52.269 --> 00:32:05.149
Did that come from watching TV shows all the time and they're planting those seeds which are coming right into our mind and creating these programs inside of our subconscious mind?
00:32:05.389 --> 00:32:07.389
That's where it's all coming from.
00:32:07.949 --> 00:32:13.230
So all I want you to do this week is pay attention to what's going on.
00:32:13.470 --> 00:32:15.309
Be aware of what's going on.
00:32:15.470 --> 00:32:18.349
Be aware of the programming that is occurring.
00:32:18.589 --> 00:32:22.829
Be aware that those outside sources are causing us to think thoughts.
00:32:22.990 --> 00:32:31.710
And those thoughts are either creating programs or they're enhancing and making stronger programs that already exist.
00:32:32.269 --> 00:32:34.109
That's what I want you to do this week.
00:32:34.349 --> 00:32:35.389
Small steps.
00:32:35.629 --> 00:32:37.069
One small step at a time.
00:32:37.230 --> 00:32:41.309
Because if you take one small step, you're bound to create a habit over time.
00:32:41.470 --> 00:32:43.470
Because one small step is easy.
00:32:43.710 --> 00:32:46.029
100 steps at once is a lot harder.
00:32:46.189 --> 00:32:47.710
One step at a time.
00:32:48.029 --> 00:32:49.869
You are not your programs.
00:32:50.109 --> 00:32:51.389
You are perfection.
00:32:51.629 --> 00:32:56.189
You're just got programs that were installed on top of perfection.
00:32:56.349 --> 00:33:03.710
And what we're going to start doing is figuring out how do I get rid of these programs now that they're already there?
00:33:03.869 --> 00:33:13.230
And one way to do that is to, again, become aware of what's going on and start blocking off some of the channels that are coming directly into our mind.
00:33:13.549 --> 00:33:26.509
When you listen to a song on the radio and it's talking about a terrible breakup and how you feel incomplete without that person, what program is being programmed in your mind?
00:33:26.829 --> 00:33:30.109
Do you think that's a positive program about how relationships work?
00:33:30.269 --> 00:33:38.750
Or do you think maybe that's a negative program about either a man or a woman and how relationships don't work and how this person was cheated on and that person's cheated on?
00:33:38.990 --> 00:33:43.629
I can't have trust in relationships because I'm getting the message over and over.
00:33:43.869 --> 00:33:49.389
You watch TV and you watch a show or you watch a movie, someone's usually always being cheated on.
00:33:49.549 --> 00:33:53.549
There's someone always taking advantage and they're hiding the fact from their spouse.
00:33:54.269 --> 00:33:59.869
Because that is a program, we start to believe that, oh my God, our world is terrible.
00:34:00.029 --> 00:34:01.789
Everyone's cheating on everyone else.
00:34:02.029 --> 00:34:03.069
That's not true.
00:34:03.309 --> 00:34:04.269
That's not true.
00:34:04.429 --> 00:34:08.349
There are some people that cheat, but there's a lot of people that don't cheat.
00:34:08.590 --> 00:34:15.230
And we need to become aware, and the awareness will cause us to become stronger, to become more confident.
00:34:15.550 --> 00:34:24.750
Because just knowing this and starting to be aware and watching it, you'll see how you've been programmed and you'll also see how I didn't choose to put this program in there.
00:34:24.909 --> 00:34:26.269
That program's not me.
00:34:26.429 --> 00:34:27.869
It isn't who I am.
00:34:28.110 --> 00:34:30.909
I am the perfection that lies underneath it.
00:34:31.309 --> 00:34:32.670
That's all I have for this week.
00:34:32.829 --> 00:34:33.869
Have a wonderful week.
00:34:34.030 --> 00:34:34.990
I hope this helps.
00:34:35.150 --> 00:34:40.110
By the way, if this helps you, don't keep it to yourself.
00:34:40.349 --> 00:34:49.869
If you got value from today, share this specific podcast with someone that you know that will help them.
00:34:50.029 --> 00:34:56.750
Because if you were unaware of what was actually going on and you were unaware of the programming, there's a lot of other people that are unaware.
00:34:56.829 --> 00:35:08.670
And what my goal is, is to spread that word, spread the message out so that more and more people in this world will feel better about themselves and realize they just happen to be around bad programming.
00:35:08.750 --> 00:35:14.509
And those bad programs became fact in their mind, even though it's someone else's opinion.
00:35:14.750 --> 00:35:15.949
Have a wonderful day.
00:35:16.110 --> 00:35:16.750
I love you.
00:35:16.989 --> 00:35:18.190
I have nothing but love.
00:35:18.349 --> 00:35:24.429
I'm saying, sending blessings to you, to your family, to your friends for health, happiness, peace, love, and joy.
00:35:24.590 --> 00:35:26.269
Have a wonderful day.
