Could it be that 90% of American men have neither been properly mentored by their birth father or a mentor? A mentoring expert for fifty years says it’s entirely possible. What are the ramifications for men trying to step into their necessary roles and, further, what is the possibility that they’ll be able to lead in career roles and church or civic positions? Eighty-three year old Dr. William Gray has overseen over 150 mentoring programs for corporations and organizations and believes these successful launches can be applied to every church in America. BUT, church leaders must recognize the need for this critical void and cannot just “wing” a mentoring program because that has statistically been proven to set mentorees up to fail. Beyond that, Dr. Gray believes that his fellow senior citizens and grandparents can grab hold of the reigns to mentor right within their families – especially to the skipped generations of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Join The Senior Editor Robert J. LaCosta as he and Dr. Gray detail the ins and outs of establishing viable mentorship programs – the great need of our fatherless and father-wounded generations!
