DESCRIPTION:
Someguy marks his return to dance music with 'The Journey'. A feel-good house record with a vocal hook front and centre, plenty of groove underneath, and the kind of lift that sticks from the very first play.
Danny Woodhouse has already put his name on Elrow, Kittball, Lost and 303Lovers, with a Data Transmission Spotlight also putting him on the radar early. After a few years away, this feels like a return with a point to prove.
We crossed paths at the DJ and Producer summit in London not long after the track first landed, and that only sharpened the feeling that 'The Journey' was the right fit. Built around an original vocal that stood out straight away, it brings together hook, groove and enough energy to carry it from first listen through to the floor.
