درباره این اپیزود
The role of local peoples living near concentration camps, extermination camps, and mass shooting sites in Europe during World War II is a widely unexplored area of the Holocaust. These civilians’ actions, or lack thereof, to the atrocities occurring before their eyes were driven by three main factors: fear, antisemitism, and economic gain. This podcast elaborates on these motivations behind non-persecuted locals’ actions, both forced and voluntary, and their affect on the events of the Holocaust.
