Should I Play or Should I Go? is a four-part mini-series about rudeness, rejection and confidence at the bridge table, created, produced and hosted by Catherine Harris.
A few weeks ago, something was said at the bridge table that I couldn’t let go. I’ve experienced worse, so why couldn’t I shake it?
In this first episode of Should I Play or Should I Go?, I talk to my longtime bridge teacher, Australian champion Andrew Mill, about confidence, criticism and the strange experience of trying to get better at something you love while becoming increasingly aware of how much you still have to learn.
Plus, other bridge players share some memorable encounters of their own. Thanks to Daniel Lev, Nikki Hudak, Stephanie Culbertson, Lorraine Cable and Em Barbenel.
Also, some time ago I wrote about taking bridge lessons with Andrew. You can read the article here: The Biker King of Contract Bridge
