5
00:00:17.230 --> 00:00:19.589
Casey Kelderman in the studio with me here. We're going
6
00:00:19.609 --> 00:00:22.489
to talk about a fun thing coming up. Pepper Entertainment
7
00:00:22.530 --> 00:00:25.199
has this on Thursday. It's called The Art of Music.
8
00:00:25.300 --> 00:00:26.640
First of all, how you doing, man?
9
00:00:26.780 --> 00:00:29.140
John, I'm doing great. It's always good to talk.
10
00:00:29.320 --> 00:00:32.420
Good to talk. And now it's Casey with Pepper Entertainment.
11
00:00:32.579 --> 00:00:32.759
Yeah.
12
00:00:32.799 --> 00:00:35.200
We've talked with you for some other things, but this
13
00:00:35.380 --> 00:00:36.920
is kind of a new venture for you. How long
14
00:00:36.939 --> 00:00:37.320
you been there?
15
00:00:37.600 --> 00:00:40.979
Always moving and shaking. I'm going into two months now,
16
00:00:41.039 --> 00:00:43.000
so I'm the fresh-faced Pepper Entertainments.
17
00:00:43.100 --> 00:00:45.700
It looks good on you, man. I love this. Now
18
00:00:45.729 --> 00:00:47.390
let's talk about the Art of Music. This was a
19
00:00:47.409 --> 00:00:49.630
brand new thing last year. We stopped and checked it out.
20
00:00:49.689 --> 00:00:51.869
It's really cool. But for people who have no idea
21
00:00:51.909 --> 00:00:53.829
what the heck we're talking about, how do you describe
22
00:00:53.850 --> 00:00:54.969
what the Art of Music is?
23
00:00:55.369 --> 00:00:58.229
Yeah, so last year's the Art of Music, they featured
24
00:00:58.270 --> 00:01:00.950
a live painter at the event. So every year we
25
00:01:00.979 --> 00:01:02.799
try to change it up for something new and different.
26
00:01:02.820 --> 00:01:05.680
So this year, at the Art of Music, we have
27
00:01:06.400 --> 00:01:09.689
over 20... over 10 local artists that put together over
28
00:01:09.689 --> 00:01:14.170
20 original pieces just for this and all within the
29
00:01:14.230 --> 00:01:19.489
prompt of concert posters reimagined. So obviously in the music space,
30
00:01:19.950 --> 00:01:24.250
music and concert posters are such a big thing.
31
00:01:24.370 --> 00:01:24.709
Oh, yeah.
32
00:01:24.730 --> 00:01:26.969
Because like that's, I mean, for me, that's how I
33
00:01:27.010 --> 00:01:28.930
found out about a ton of concerts that I've gone
34
00:01:28.969 --> 00:01:31.819
to in the past. And so, yeah, we gave the
35
00:01:31.840 --> 00:01:34.579
prompt to these artists of, hey, find a concert that's,
36
00:01:35.079 --> 00:01:36.840
One of ours that we've done, something you want to
37
00:01:36.879 --> 00:01:39.799
see in Sioux Falls or something coming up, and take
38
00:01:39.819 --> 00:01:42.000
your own spin on it. See what you can come
39
00:01:42.109 --> 00:01:44.890
up with. And we had over 20 original pieces come
40
00:01:44.950 --> 00:01:46.129
out of it, which is super cool.
41
00:01:46.510 --> 00:01:49.450
I'm excited. Now, it's coming up this Thursday. Where will
42
00:01:49.489 --> 00:01:50.629
the event be held on Thursday?
43
00:01:50.849 --> 00:01:54.069
Yeah, so it's at Shriver Square Atrium, which is downtown
44
00:01:54.090 --> 00:01:56.879
Sioux Falls. So if you know where the Foti restaurant is,
45
00:01:56.939 --> 00:01:59.420
just come on through those double doors, and you'll find
46
00:01:59.480 --> 00:02:00.799
us right inside there.
47
00:02:01.200 --> 00:02:03.769
Phillips Avenue. And is that 12th and Phillips? It's right,
48
00:02:03.870 --> 00:02:07.310
Kitty Corner from Minerva. So whatever that corner is. And
49
00:02:07.430 --> 00:02:09.729
it's like, is it Kitty Corner or Catty Corner? It's
50
00:02:09.750 --> 00:02:14.210
across the street from Minerva's. And you'll go inside. And
51
00:02:14.389 --> 00:02:15.710
is it a free event or is there a fee
52
00:02:15.729 --> 00:02:16.069
to get in?
53
00:02:16.389 --> 00:02:18.909
All free. So if you're just hanging out downtown this
54
00:02:18.949 --> 00:02:21.330
Thursday and you want to pop in for an hour
55
00:02:21.370 --> 00:02:23.370
and look at some local art and check out some
56
00:02:23.389 --> 00:02:25.360
of the other The other cool things that we have
57
00:02:25.400 --> 00:02:27.620
going on, that's the place to be.
58
00:02:27.840 --> 00:02:29.479
I encourage you to do that. Get out and check
59
00:02:29.520 --> 00:02:32.919
it out. And again, Pepper Entertainment brings a wonderful live
60
00:02:32.960 --> 00:02:35.870
entertainment to the community all the time. So it's cool
61
00:02:35.909 --> 00:02:38.849
that you're taking live entertainment and you're taking the arts
62
00:02:38.889 --> 00:02:40.629
and you're kind of mixing those together for this event.
63
00:02:41.250 --> 00:02:43.370
And it's an opportunity for people to come out and
64
00:02:43.389 --> 00:02:46.770
be a part of the Pepper Entertainment Champion Foundation. And
65
00:02:47.110 --> 00:02:48.610
that is a pretty cool thing that you guys do.
66
00:02:49.050 --> 00:02:51.189
Yeah, so that's relatively new too. It started in 2022.
67
00:02:51.189 --> 00:02:51.710
And so every.
68
00:02:54.120 --> 00:02:56.979
Every concert that we promote in Sioux Falls, a dollar
69
00:02:57.020 --> 00:03:00.219
from every ticket sold there goes into the foundation. The
70
00:03:00.280 --> 00:03:04.889
foundation helps benefit local artists, especially in our Sioux Falls
71
00:03:04.930 --> 00:03:09.689
school district. We help provide guitar lessons there. So over
72
00:03:09.689 --> 00:03:13.310
800 students. I had to look this number up before this.
73
00:03:13.409 --> 00:03:17.000
Over 800 students have taken classes there. uh, within the
74
00:03:17.039 --> 00:03:19.300
guitar lessons that they provide at the school, Sioux Falls
75
00:03:19.319 --> 00:03:20.439
school district because of it.
76
00:03:20.520 --> 00:03:23.180
So what a cool thing. And think about, uh, how
77
00:03:23.319 --> 00:03:25.949
amazing that is for 800 students. And they're not all
78
00:03:25.990 --> 00:03:28.189
going to pursue that. They're not going to follow that forever,
79
00:03:28.250 --> 00:03:31.830
but even if a tiny fraction of them do, you know, uh, and,
80
00:03:31.949 --> 00:03:33.870
and they, you know, make their way to a stage
81
00:03:33.909 --> 00:03:38.090
somewhere someday because of this foundation set up by pepper entertainment.
82
00:03:38.129 --> 00:03:38.810
How cool is that?
83
00:03:38.969 --> 00:03:41.879
Yeah. Just an opportunity to learn something so cool, like
84
00:03:41.939 --> 00:03:42.639
playing guitar.
85
00:03:42.659 --> 00:03:42.879
Yeah.
86
00:03:43.139 --> 00:03:43.300
Yeah.
87
00:03:43.340 --> 00:03:45.490
I love it. I think that's fantastic. So, If somebody
88
00:03:45.530 --> 00:03:46.949
listening would like to be a part of this, again,
89
00:03:46.990 --> 00:03:49.180
the art of music, let's give them the when and
90
00:03:49.189 --> 00:03:51.479
the where and all of that again. When is this
91
00:03:51.520 --> 00:03:52.659
and where is this? Yeah.
92
00:03:52.680 --> 00:03:56.560
So this Thursday, September 17th, downtown Sioux Falls at Shriver
93
00:03:56.639 --> 00:04:00.099
Square Atrium from 4 to 7 p.m. Again, it's free.
94
00:04:00.199 --> 00:04:02.240
So if you want to come in for 10 minutes,
95
00:04:02.280 --> 00:04:04.199
check it out and go grab some food at Faux
96
00:04:04.240 --> 00:04:07.009
Tie and then pop back out for another 10 minutes.
97
00:04:07.590 --> 00:04:09.650
That's what we're hoping. And we're going to have all
98
00:04:09.689 --> 00:04:12.669
this artwork will be for sale for the Champion Foundation
99
00:04:12.909 --> 00:04:18.389
as well. And we will have concert posters, drum heads,
100
00:04:18.449 --> 00:04:22.189
guitars signed from some of our previous shows. So if
101
00:04:22.209 --> 00:04:25.120
you want kind of a higher end thing to pick
102
00:04:25.199 --> 00:04:27.000
up at the show, you can pick up some autographed
103
00:04:27.680 --> 00:04:29.399
memorabilia there too.
104
00:04:29.439 --> 00:04:31.759
Very cool. So bring a wallet is what you're saying.
105
00:04:31.779 --> 00:04:33.939
Bring a wallet and maybe a giant check like in
106
00:04:33.959 --> 00:04:35.319
Happy Home.
107
00:04:35.360 --> 00:04:37.500
Drag one of those in with me. Casey said I
108
00:04:37.519 --> 00:04:38.360
could cash this here.
109
00:04:39.519 --> 00:04:39.720
All right.
110
00:04:39.759 --> 00:04:41.990
It's called The Art of Music. It is this Thursday.
111
00:04:42.009 --> 00:04:43.910
I'm going to throw all the information on our Facebook
112
00:04:43.930 --> 00:04:45.829
page to make it easy to find. So if you're
113

57
00:02:25.400 --> 00:02:27.620
going on, that's the place to be.
58
00:02:27.840 --> 00:02:29.479
I encourage you to do that. Get out and check
59
00:02:29.520 --> 00:02:32.919
it out. And again, Pepper Entertainment brings a wonderful live
60
00:02:32.960 --> 00:02:35.870
entertainment to the community all the time. So it's cool
61
00:02:35.909 --> 00:02:38.849
that you're taking live entertainment and you're taking the arts
62
00:02:38.889 --> 00:02:40.629
and you're kind of mixing those together for this event.
63
00:02:41.250 --> 00:02:43.370
And it's an opportunity for people to come out and
64
00:02:43.389 --> 00:02:46.770
be a part of the Pepper Entertainment Champion Foundation. And
65
00:02:47.110 --> 00:02:48.610
that is a pretty cool thing that you guys do.
66
00:02:49.050 --> 00:02:51.189
Yeah, so that's relatively new too. It started in 2022.
67
00:02:51.189 --> 00:02:51.710
And so every.
68
00:02:54.120 --> 00:02:56.979
Every concert that we promote in Sioux Falls, a dollar
69
00:02:57.020 --> 00:03:00.219
from every ticket sold there goes into the foundation. The
70
00:03:00.280 --> 00:03:04.889
foundation helps benefit local artists, especially in our Sioux Falls
71
00:03:04.930 --> 00:03:09.689
school district. We help provide guitar lessons there. So over
72
00:03:09.689 --> 00:03:13.310
800 students. I had to look this number up before this.
73
00:03:13.409 --> 00:03:17.000
Over 800 students have taken classes there. uh, within the
74
00:03:17.039 --> 00:03:19.300
guitar lessons that they provide at the school, Sioux Falls
75
00:03:19.319 --> 00:03:20.439
school district because of it.
76
00:03:20.520 --> 00:03:23.180
So what a cool thing. And think about, uh, how
77
00:03:23.319 --> 00:03:25.949
amazing that is for 800 students. And they're not all
78
00:03:25.990 --> 00:03:28.189
going to pursue that. They're not going to follow that forever,
79
00:03:28.250 --> 00:03:31.830
but even if a tiny fraction of them do, you know, uh, and,
80
00:03:31.949 --> 00:03:33.870
and they, you know, make their way to a stage
81
00:03:33.909 --> 00:03:38.090
somewhere someday because of this foundation set up by pepper entertainment.
82
00:03:38.129 --> 00:03:38.810
How cool is that?
83
00:03:38.969 --> 00:03:41.879
Yeah. Just an opportunity to learn something so cool, like
84
00:03:41.939 --> 00:03:42.639
playing guitar.
85
00:03:42.659 --> 00:03:42.879
Yeah.
86
00:03:43.139 --> 00:03:43.300
Yeah.
87
00:03:43.340 --> 00:03:45.490
I love it. I think that's fantastic. So, If somebody
88
00:03:45.530 --> 00:03:46.949
listening would like to be a part of this, again,
89
00:03:46.990 --> 00:03:49.180
the art of music, let's give them the when and
90
00:03:49.189 --> 00:03:51.479
the where and all of that again. When is this
91
00:03:51.520 --> 00:03:52.659
and where is this? Yeah.
92
00:03:52.680 --> 00:03:56.560
So this Thursday, September 17th, downtown Sioux Falls at Shriver
93
00:03:56.639 --> 00:04:00.099
Square Atrium from 4 to 7 p.m. Again, it's free.
94
00:04:00.199 --> 00:04:02.240
So if you want to come in for 10 minutes,
95
00:04:02.280 --> 00:04:04.199
check it out and go grab some food at Faux
96
00:04:04.240 --> 00:04:07.009
Tie and then pop back out for another 10 minutes.
97
00:04:07.590 --> 00:04:09.650
That's what we're hoping. And we're going to have all
98
00:04:09.689 --> 00:04:12.669
this artwork will be for sale for the Champion Foundation
99
00:04:12.909 --> 00:04:18.389
as well. And we will have concert posters, drum heads,
100
00:04:18.449 --> 00:04:22.189
guitars signed from some of our previous shows. So if
101
00:04:22.209 --> 00:04:25.120
you want kind of a higher end thing to pick
102
00:04:25.199 --> 00:04:27.000
up at the show, you can pick up some autographed
103
00:04:27.680 --> 00:04:29.399
memorabilia there too.
104
00:04:29.439 --> 00:04:31.759
Very cool. So bring a wallet is what you're saying.
105
00:04:31.779 --> 00:04:33.939
Bring a wallet and maybe a giant check like in
106
00:04:33.959 --> 00:04:35.319
Happy Home.
107
00:04:35.360 --> 00:04:37.500
Drag one of those in with me. Casey said I
108
00:04:37.519 --> 00:04:38.360
could cash this here.
109
00:04:39.519 --> 00:04:39.720
All right.
110
00:04:39.759 --> 00:04:41.990
It's called The Art of Music. It is this Thursday.
111
00:04:42.009 --> 00:04:43.910
I'm going to throw all the information on our Facebook
112
00:04:43.930 --> 00:04:45.829
page to make it easy to find. So if you're
113
00:04:45.850 --> 00:04:47.769
struggling to remember any of this, just go to check
114
00:04:47.790 --> 00:04:53.120
it out. Facebook.com slash Sunny Radio and Facebook.com slash Sioux
