Welcome back to Social Seance Society! This week, we’re heading into the 90s to talk about how the Final Girl started to get a makeover. From Sidney Prescott breaking the supposed rules of survival to what it actually looks like to live with the trauma of being the one who survived, we’re diving into how Scream helped reshape the Final Girl for a new generation. We’ll also look at the Final Girls who followed, including Julie James, Sarah Carter, Erin Harson, and Mia Allen, and how each brought something different to the trope as it continued to evolve.
