In this episode of Sleepcast, we take a slow and peaceful journey through the history of Super Mario.
From Mario’s early appearance in Donkey Kong and the release of Super Mario Bros. to 3D adventures, handheld games, kart racing, and modern Nintendo consoles, we gently explore how a simple video game character became one of the world’s most recognisable gaming icons.
Along the way, we encounter carefully designed levels, colourful worlds, mysterious pipes, floating platforms, familiar power-ups, hidden rooms, changing controllers, and a remarkably large number of coins waiting to be collected.
So get comfortable, close your eyes, and let the long and carefully constructed history of Super Mario slowly guide you towards sleep.
Sleepcast – Probably the most boring podcast in the world.
