More about Josh:
"My own path with psychedelics began over 20 years ago when I had my first life-changing psychedelic experience. What I didn't have when I started was the right tools and information to integrate the experience. In March of 2021, I witnessed the powerful healing properties of psychedelics when used therapeutically. However, because I didn't have the support and knowledge on how to vet a facilitator, I also witnessed malpractice and unethical use of these medicines in the field.Experiencing malpractice firsthand led me to find support through Integration circles. In this space, I was able to process what happened. It connected me to a whole community of people who offered incredible support and that understood the significance of working with psychedelic medicine.Through intentionality and high emphasis on safety, and education I began to experience for myself the power of community, integration and working with psychedelic medicines responsibly.I am certified as a Psychedelic Integration Coach through TAM's Integration's one year-long program to provide you with the best support possible. I'm an active member of The Brooklyn Psychedelic Society where I facilitate integration circles, The Journey Cohort Program as well as assist in ceremonies with other groups. I am also listed on their members only directory of vetted facilitators. In June of 2023 I completed the MAPS Intro & Advanced MDMA / Psychedelic Assisted Therapy training in Denver Colorado with Michael & Annie Mithoefer, Harvey Schwartz, Marcela Ot'alora, and Bruce Poulter. In May of 2024 I completed Guiding Psilocybin Therapy Sessions & Facing Mortality with Mary Cosimano, LMSW of Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness ResearchI am always learning how to be prepared and deepen my knowledge on safety, harm reduction, safer spaces, consent, ethics, community organizing, and being prepared by incorporating medical and emergency training such as being certified in CPR for adults and pediatrics, AED, and First Aid.Outside of the psychedelic space I have been a Commercial & Music Video Producer for over a decade and own a film production company. In addition, I am an original core member of the unionization movement for commercial production workers known as Stand With Production, which succeeded in forming the first national union for commercial production works now known as Local 111. I have done numerous trainings with the International School of Temple Arts (ISTA), and am active in the NY ISTA community. I have studied and assisted with Clinical Psychologist Dr. Stacy Ellis who facilitates the trauma informed, outer child workshop Liberation. I love music, dancing, 5Rhythms, hiking, jogging, pilates, yoga, traveling to new places, arts & crafts, South Park, and learning new things.
