Now let's get to this week's episode. This is Mandy B. Welcome to Selective Ignorance, a production of The Black Effect Podcast Network and iHeartRadio. Hey guys, welcome to another episode of Selective Ignorance with me. You're HOUSTMDIB and as always, we are getting into all of the ignorant things and outrage from the Internet over the past week, starting with my ignorance Hee pretty much believing that we do need a little bit more humor in the world, and although some things are considered crimes. I think that we need to laugh a little bit more. Oh yeah, wait until you hear my take on that. Then we're up first, and this is America. Joh is going to update us on the Nolan Wells story and pretty much where we stand with the autopsy. Then we are getting into a progressive surge that is becoming one of the biggest Democratic Party stories heading into midterms. Midterms are important. We talked about it last week, but one specific person by the name of Corey Booker is out here actually blaming the Democratic Party and saying that his party has helped to pave the way for the hell that we are currently in right now. Then y'all know we bringing up empathy somehow. We might even talk about that girl that I don't like called Grace. But Chef Creole, a popular restaurant or in Miami, has come forward with saying that he is now regretting voting for Trump. Dude, we give an am we'll talk about it. Then. This is not a sports podcast, But boy, have there been a lot of conversations about the rules within the w NBA after two former NBA players this week have announced that they are going to enter the draft to become w NBA players because the rules say. All we gotta say is that we women and we could play in the w NBA. Oh boy, it's getting messy. We're talking pre nups with Kenny Smith. We're also talking about the twenty four year old accused of scamming athletes that was found dead in his pool in a real story of fuck around and find out. Before we wrap up with celebrities say the darness things, where asap Rocky calls out a graphic designer after sharing a DM. Oh boy, there's a lot to get and as always, I am joined by my superb producer, A King.
00:03:08
Speaker 2: We got o g pot legend right next to me.
00:03:10
Speaker 3: What to do? I'm hearing me living a dream? What's up everybody.
00:03:13
Speaker 1: Living the dream? You know feeling I'm feeling great. I'm feeling good. We are only with one half of our super producers as we give a happy birthday shout out to journalism. Jason, you really did put the Spanish.
00:03:27
Speaker 4: In the group chats see see see okay.
00:03:30
Speaker 1: You know Spanish? All I say when people say last one podcast, I don't think podcasting. How you say podcast is.
00:03:43
Speaker 3: How you say? How do you say spot podcast podcasting. Now let's create one.
00:03:50
Speaker 1: Do you speak?
00:03:52
Speaker 5: Let me ask podcast podcast?
00:03:56
Speaker 4: I bring you a squirrel second audio.
00:04:02
Speaker 2: I ain't gonna lie.
00:04:03
Speaker 3: That was good.
00:04:04
Speaker 1: I don't know what that was. Just was well, y'all, this is my uh est.
00:04:13
Speaker 2: Jason John.
00:04:16
Speaker 4: Podcasting all the yeat niggas U up yo, blessed it would be on.
00:04:28
Speaker 6: It would be uh the been diga lots podcasters whatever I am sorry those podcasters.
00:04:40
Speaker 1: I'm speakers listening podcast were starting.
00:04:46
Speaker 3: Really should we should do four minutes of potting in Spain?
00:04:51
Speaker 1: That is way too much we would the drop off break would be insane. I don't know.
00:04:55
Speaker 3: You know what.
00:04:56
Speaker 4: I went to d R two years ago.
00:04:59
Speaker 1: You know you did?
00:04:59
Speaker 7: You was?
00:05:00
Speaker 4: Yeah?
00:05:02
Speaker 6: So we we was having good adult consensual fun in the pool in our swimming.
00:05:08
Speaker 3: What's the ship U? Yeah? No the podcast bros.
00:05:12
Speaker 4: No, I was having them.
00:05:14
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:05:16
Speaker 6: But I had a whole thirty minute conversation with with the with the pool boy about Jordan's in Dominican Republican where to buy Jordan's and how they.
00:05:23
Speaker 4: Overpriced there, and spoke in Spanish.
00:05:25
Speaker 6: Yeah, we spoke the for the whole thirty minutes. We said in Spanish and I was like, yeah, I'm still nice.
00:05:29
Speaker 3: He said. He said, uh, don's.
00:05:37
Speaker 4: To get the you learn Spanish is that I took.
00:05:40
Speaker 6: I took Spanish and starting in eighth grade all the way through high school and a year in college.
00:05:45
Speaker 1: So you know what's crazy about that? I actually say that, especially for American schools, if we were able or mandated to learn a language younger, we would obtain it better.
00:05:58
Speaker 4: So we had to.
00:05:59
Speaker 1: So the that you started in middle school, Spanish for me wasn't an elective until high school, and I didn't take it until my junior my maybe sophomore in junior year, and then in college I took it again. So the fact that I've had four years of Spanish and still can only order food and say cuss words, I'm shaved. I am a shamed. But also let's be very clear, it doesn't matter what country I go to. It's Grassius, and I mean in France, like Grassius, so I do know a little bit.
00:06:31
Speaker 4: That's my.
00:06:36
Speaker 3: Now.
00:06:36
Speaker 4: We had to in eighth grade. They made us pick one.
00:06:40
Speaker 6: So like most people picked Spanish, some people picked I think it was those three really that we only had in that school, but they made us pick one.
00:06:46
Speaker 1: But overseas, English is almost mandated starting from elementary school pre K sometimes like they and I don't know if it's called pre K overseas, but you were learning English at a very early age. So even a lot of in the UAE I know English and I think math were the two subjects that teachers from America were brought over. Paid very well, their living arrangements was taken care of.
00:07:13
Speaker 3: But you get good money. Yeah, good money, you get good good.
00:07:15
Speaker 1: Also, why do you get good money to be a teacher in other countries other countries but can't get good money?
00:07:19
Speaker 4: Get a dime?
00:07:21
Speaker 1: You got to sit here by your own school.
00:07:22
Speaker 6: Speaking of teachers, I want to acknowledge the fact that I came to school today in my do rag, in my pajamas, because last week, all the mumpany negros, all the tuskegrolls told me that I would never be shit in life unless I put on a suit. So it's going to be the greatest selective ignorance podcast ever because I have to show the people that you can perform and be good at things.
00:07:42
Speaker 1: Actually you don't. You changed into this last minute. I'm docking your pay.
00:07:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, because because you did not show up.
00:07:49
Speaker 4: No, I know the correct tie, yes, because.
00:07:52
Speaker 2: It's got you even got the slides with the sock.
00:07:55
Speaker 6: Yeah, all of that is all of that, all of that because I have to. I have to set the example that you can't wear respectability. You can't you can't wear dignity, you can't wear honor.
00:08:06
Speaker 4: You have to just be who you are and however you come.
00:08:09
Speaker 1: You know what's crazy, I as I'm not gonna believe half of what you say today just because of what you got on.
00:08:15
Speaker 4: That and that would be the problem. I'm actually I'm going to tell me because I'm going to tell respect.
00:08:20
Speaker 6: I'm going to tell the truth to the people, and the do rag will not encumber me.
00:08:24
Speaker 2: Oh my god, well I love that.
00:08:27
Speaker 1: No woman this weekend showed up in pajamas at the Let's Talk About Sex conference even though you have sex in the bedroom. The very very very respectable women who shut up. So I was in Chicago this past weekend, shout out to Sister Song. They're an organization for reproductive justice and it was really dope. Chloe Bailey was there. Y'all better get off my girl back because the vocals, the mic was on.
00:08:57
Speaker 3: She was media.
00:08:59
Speaker 2: I love this shit, even clopping back.
00:09:01
Speaker 1: I hate this narrative that when you're a celebrity you can't defend yourself because now people think that we don't have the time. And I'm gonna say week because bitch y'all already know I'm gonna respond every chance I can. You better not have an rip anybody.
00:09:19
Speaker 2: You gotta not be talking shit while you got a.
00:09:21
Speaker 1: Hashtag pee anybody. I'm gonna say, you know what's crazy such and such. I'm gonna make sure I say the.
00:09:28
Speaker 2: Name would be rolling in their grave right now that.
00:09:31
Speaker 1: You are wasting the life that you have on the internet. I'm telling you right now, anyone listening, anyone looking at me right now on this podcast. And I'm saying this because the selective ignorance comments on the Internet are ninety percent non followers. I'm looking at the analytics and it's pretty crazy. And so they come in the comments talking hell of shit about the three of us. I'm telling you now, me, Mandy B. If you talk shit on a day that I have.
00:09:59
Speaker 2: Time and I click on your profile and you.
00:10:02
Speaker 1: Have a hashtag rip such and such or your children are on there and they is ugly. I'm telling you now I'm talking about your children, and I'm talking about whoever you're so sad is no longer with us.
00:10:14
Speaker 2: So, therefore, if.
00:10:16
Speaker 1: You choose to use the fingers that still work and the breath out of.
00:10:22
Speaker 2: Your mouth hot, breath hot.
00:10:24
Speaker 1: You decide to use it to talk shit or to call us out of our name, because we have a difference of opinion from you, I promise you, because you took it low, I'm taking it to hell and I'm coming for whoever's in the grave and your ugly I just want to let that be know.
00:10:42
Speaker 4: So I was going to ask, is that your favorite thing?
00:10:44
Speaker 6: Because when I click on somebody's bio to see like they've been talking shit, so I go to their page to see what's going on with them? My friend, you look for the first thing I've normally looked for is depending on what they said, like might be like them either looking crazy or like do you have a white wife life?
00:11:00
Speaker 2: Or like hair, do you have a wife refrigerator? Because if you sit here talking ship with the with the crinkly roof situation, yeah you got some other things to work.
00:11:13
Speaker 3: Those are the bed like ship's nasty. I'm just gonna hit him with the s y.
00:11:19
Speaker 1: M what.
00:11:22
Speaker 6: Your mother suck your mother, your mom, your You.
00:11:29
Speaker 5: Can do either move my mother, your mom, your suck your mom, podcast, suck your mom, suck your mom.
00:11:44
Speaker 3: Shout out to the people in London.
00:11:47
Speaker 1: Well speaking of London, I am taking my ignorance from a story from over the pond, okay, And I want to know if y'all are as ignorant as I am, cross because I actually whish she put up a go fund me. Yes so, community and this is listen.
00:12:01
Speaker 3: So y'all.
00:12:01
Speaker 1: A twenty six year old man last week in Welles was arrested after authorities say he climbed onto the roof of a hospital dressed like the Grims Reaper, silently staring down at patients visitors at Stafford nearly an hour. Police say that Leon Gillespie stood above the hospital interest wearing an all black hooded costume while holding what appeared to be a long blade. Officers and firefighters responded. In the situation lasted about fifty minutes before he actually was taken into custody. He later pleaded guilty to causing a new censor disturbance on hospital property without a reasonable excuse.
00:12:39
Speaker 2: No explanation was given.
00:12:40
Speaker 1: In court for why he dressed in the costume or climbed on the roof. And when I saw this, I laughed, our world is so dark in itself. I think we should accept dark humor. And this to me, I was like, yo, maybe had a day off. I don't know what crossed his mind to say, I'm gonna go stand on a hospital rooftop dresses the grim Reaper and raise having.
00:13:12
Speaker 3: Anybody going through it.
00:13:13
Speaker 1: I mean, you look at you see the grim Reaper. If you don't move, you're in your hospital bed. Who knows, and he knows. He stood there. He stood there for almost an hour. And when I read this, I was like, you know what, this is funny. I don't think it should have been a crime to do something funny.
00:13:39
Speaker 6: I think the only reason it might have been a crime because it's like, are you trespassed? How did you get up there? Are you trustpassed?
00:13:46
Speaker 3: Did he walk the bat well?
00:13:51
Speaker 1: He didn't get a trustpassing charge, He got a nuisance to society. Yeah, they hit him with so he played guilty for being a nuisance. But I don't think let me see it. So it was causing a nuisance or disturbance on hospital property without a reasonable cause. Now without a reasonable cause. Babe, I wanted to laugh.
00:14:16
Speaker 3: We got a laugh.
00:14:18
Speaker 2: You haven't like.
00:14:19
Speaker 1: I would like to believe that someone found humor in this, and I think that in the world this is my ignorance. I don't give a fuck dark humor, regular humor. We need to laugh more. This is actually funny.
00:14:32
Speaker 3: It is. I laughed, but when you zoom out.
00:14:36
Speaker 8: But then then for anybody, anybody who didn't die within that fifty minutes, I think they got to laugh out of it after they realized this was Also, the Grim Reaper ain't real.
00:14:48
Speaker 2: So if anybody believed it was the Grim.
00:14:50
Speaker 3: Reaper for real, I mean, who believes the Reaper.
00:14:55
Speaker 1: Is attached to is it? Is it religion based? Is it fantasy?
00:15:00
Speaker 4: I don't think.
00:15:00
Speaker 1: Can we look that up? I know we don't have our screen today.
00:15:03
Speaker 6: I feel like it's not religion based. I feel like it's probably.
00:15:06
Speaker 1: Let me see, the Grim Reaper got it, because.
00:15:08
Speaker 6: If it is, I feel like it's probably came from some type of mythology. I don't know if it's Greek mythology or or something like that, but I feel like it probably came from one of those types of things because like I don't I don't remember know what talking about comic books.
00:15:20
Speaker 3: Maybe maybe comic books.
00:15:21
Speaker 1: So what's funny is it? It is from Europe, So the visual concept of the grim Reaper started in the fourteenth century Europe during the Black Death, while the exact name grim Reaper first appeared in English print. So it's from like a book.
00:15:35
Speaker 3: That makes sense.
00:15:35
Speaker 1: The iconic look of death as a skeleton with a tool came from a time of massive plague and high loss of life. So it's it's a simpol it's it's symbolic the name grim Reaper. It's from an eighteen forty seven print. Menzies used the phrase grim Reaper in the Circle of Human Life. So it's not it's it's it's a mythical creature. It's not attached to anything religious believes. So you see the grim Reaper, babe, it's a constant. It is like, see here we go with the selective ignorance. If you don't know that the grim Reaper is this, uh fan to see like it's literally a symbol. It symbolizes something, but it's something that was man made, made up, put into fiction. I need you to just understand like if you saw unicorn, you wouldn't be scared.
00:16:24
Speaker 2: You'd be like, put the horn.
00:16:29
Speaker 6: Walking through the hospital floor that that'd be crazy. I wish you could have did this at like mar A Lago or like the White House or somewhere where it could have been like really like put.
00:16:41
Speaker 4: An exclamation be on that bitch, like, yeah, nigga, we hear for you.
00:16:43
Speaker 1: We hear from you.
00:16:45
Speaker 3: I would enjoy that's.
00:16:46
Speaker 1: Funny, that's funny. I'm not even gonna. I'm not gonna. I was just and I had the thought of the distinguishing difference between humor and dark humor.
00:16:57
Speaker 2: And I realized that when I.
00:16:59
Speaker 1: Go to comedies, I enjoy more of dark humor. When I watched television shows, I like more of dark humor.
00:17:06
Speaker 6: I'm not mad at it now. I saw an Instagram clip. I wish I could have found it. I would have thought about it. There was a there's a comedian who is a white lady. But she I don't want to misdiagnose her. She has an ailment of something. I don't know she has ms or cerebral palsy or whatever. But she's a stand up comedian and she was doing on stage back and forth with I guess her friend who is also a comedian who has like some other ailments, right, and like all of the jokes were like getting right at each other about their disabilities, and it was funny as fuck.
00:17:42
Speaker 1: Did you see did you see the guy who got pulled over but used use something based on what he saw on line? So I'll try to sew. There's a video of a woman getting pulled over who has Tourette's okay, and as she's getting pulled over, mind this is a white woman. As she's getting pulled over, as they ask for her license and registration, she's like, just want to let you know I have Tourettees before anything. Because while she's hold on, while she's getting pulled over, she's.
00:18:13
Speaker 4: Like, hold on the clip.
00:18:16
Speaker 2: I'll tell you later.
00:18:17
Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do it.
00:18:19
Speaker 2: Hold on, I just I just did it. Hold on, I'm gonna.
00:18:22
Speaker 1: Keep doing it. So a guy stitched the video of this woman doing it during a pull him getting pulled over. The man getting pulled over is a black man, so he's like, hey, guys, I'm going to see if this works for me. So he sets up his camera. He's no, no, no, So he's he sets up his camera and as he's getting pulled over, he like, as he gets asked for his license of registration because he was speeding that the copy says, do you know you were going, yes, sir, okay, I'm going to reach for my license of registration, just want to let you have tourettes.
00:19:01
Speaker 2: As soon as he goes to reach in and hand it, he's like.
00:19:04
Speaker 4: Fuck, what cop.
00:19:06
Speaker 1: It starts like, so it's like sticking up his little figure and doing these things, and so as the cop is there, he's like.
00:19:16
Speaker 2: Starts yelling, you.
00:19:18
Speaker 4: Know, I'm a nig.
00:19:20
Speaker 1: It starts literally saying all these things.
00:19:22
Speaker 3: Hold on, hold on, hold hold on.
00:19:24
Speaker 1: I'm not even gonna lie in the video. Mind you, I am repeating the video. This is not me making fun of people with tourettes. Again, select the bigger.
00:19:30
Speaker 2: It's welcome.
00:19:31
Speaker 1: So as he does it and the cop is looking at his license and registration, he's doing all of these movements to where it literally the cop says, well, sir, this is just gonna be a warning. Thank you so much. I'm gonna let you get on your web.
00:19:43
Speaker 2: A black man and a white woman, both of mine.
00:19:47
Speaker 1: He's a black man did not have Toret's. When he saw it work, he filmed himself doing it and it's him acting like he has tourets during a traffic stop and it worked. But literally he was literally yelling, well, you white cop this with this thump like doing doing this because the white woman also, which is weird, hers was the middle finger and saying fuck ship. And it worked for him. It worked for him, and I was just like, Okay, this is tricky, because tricky because I'm not gonna lie. I was thinking, wait, niggas with touretts could drive. That was my ignorant thought because as they're even talking, their hands are doing this motions like do these motions happen while you're behind the wheel, Because now I'm thinking of safety.
00:20:33
Speaker 4: That's again I'm not you know that that might be a valid question to ask. I don't know what, because so.
00:20:40
Speaker 1: I have a sibling with epilepsy. She cannot drive, she cannot get it, she cannot she cannot operate a vehicle because she has epilepsy. So seeing that Tourette's not only takes control of your verbal speaking, but also there's flinches in your mobility, I was like, okay, we're both of these kits, but the woman, the white woman, didn't seem like it, and clearly the black man literally was like, I'm gonna see if this works for me, and I was just like, question, we don't know you. I ask your ignorant question, and I'm gonna look it up.
00:21:21
Speaker 3: And what, No, it's nothing to look in.
00:21:26
Speaker 5: What other scenarios could we apply this to and be successful?
00:21:33
Speaker 3: So we got the cat one that so that's that's like, what kind of trouble could you be in? Get out of it street, street ship.
00:21:41
Speaker 5: You can't tell the street, dude, you just have to yeah, ignorant street.
00:21:47
Speaker 1: So I did see another clip where uh, these content creators were acting blind, so they were staring at people, waiting until they like got and then he was like, damn nigga, what you look like? You you you want something? And the man was like making sure he still looked a different direction and was like talking to him but in a different and then and then oh, so you want to fight, and he pulled out his walking cane like he was blind. So the man was like, oh, my bad, my bad, and the blind man was like, now I'm gonna call my homeboy. I'm gonna call my friend because you're not gonna talk to me like this. And his homeboy comes up, also another blind man, so they just.
00:22:26
Speaker 2: So I'm not gonna lie.
00:22:27
Speaker 1: It's crazy because you know, like we talk about protecting women and children, there is a level of grace I think that is given to people with certain disabilities.
00:22:39
Speaker 4: Yeah, for sure.
00:22:40
Speaker 2: And I don't know, I'm not gonna lie a king.
00:22:42
Speaker 1: I don't know how many other things you can get in trouble for that aren't actual causes to humanity that you could technically get away with, Like you can't rob a bank or a grocery store and then say you have tourettees Like that doesn't get you out of it, you know.
00:22:56
Speaker 7: What I mean?
00:22:59
Speaker 2: Wait, you could you?
00:23:00
Speaker 6: Like yeah, like you think there's a nigga out there somewhere that would try to toret his.
00:23:04
Speaker 2: Way into the you're gonna act.
00:23:09
Speaker 6: Again the woman walks in and then you're in there like acting like you how long have.
00:23:15
Speaker 1: We been together that you just now got.
00:23:21
Speaker 4: Right right now?
00:23:22
Speaker 6: Like call me an ambulance, but a heart attack or.
00:23:29
Speaker 1: Or what's a seizure of some kind?
00:23:33
Speaker 6: I wonder, I'm sure there's a nigga who has foamed at the mouth and rolled off the bed rod.
00:23:39
Speaker 4: You're trying to get out? Yeah, right, especially if you know your lady's.
00:23:43
Speaker 1: Gonna then we make the man of cheater. Let me let me hear from y'all, you gentlemen. Your partner is getting fucked from behind. Hold on, hold on, you walk in and she you walk in the door, he rolls off for her. Did she start acting like she having a seizure? Are you calling the cops or are you.
00:24:10
Speaker 2: Another cops?
00:24:11
Speaker 1: Are you are you calling in the ambulance because because you're on Are you calling the ambulance because she is having a seizure and needs medical attention? Or are you so upset you sit there and let her die.
00:24:28
Speaker 3: No, the other nigga can call.
00:24:32
Speaker 9: You.
00:24:32
Speaker 2: So you're gonna talk to the other man. That was just fun saying.
00:24:34
Speaker 5: That's your problem. Now, nigga, you're gonna go to ambulance with her. You're gonna go in the fucking emergency room with her, and because they ain't gonna be like, oh, you're getting your ship off, and then now I gotta go suffer and go deal with the medical.
00:24:45
Speaker 3: No, you can do all the things if you think you're the boyfriend now birthday.
00:24:54
Speaker 6: If you think she's faking, you might have to just wait and see how far she's gonna take it, Like, are you going to are you gonna minutes?
00:25:00
Speaker 3: Are you gonna say?
00:25:02
Speaker 4: Are you gonna fake die? Or are you just gonna usually? How committed to the bit?
00:25:06
Speaker 3: Are you?
00:25:07
Speaker 10: Lord?
00:25:07
Speaker 4: This wap that you're putting on for me right now?
00:25:09
Speaker 3: And what if you do to act but then she actually dies?
00:25:12
Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. What if it's real?
00:25:14
Speaker 3: I mean choice? She made a choice, okay, And so it's funny.
00:25:20
Speaker 1: It's funny because uh, I don't know if y'all saw and this will be the last ignorance because I'm just gonna add this to it. Did y'all see the woman who.
00:25:33
Speaker 4: Let me?
00:25:34
Speaker 1: Let me tell you? So there was a tim Orton's employee that is not going to be charged for murder. Tim Hortons is okay, So basically.
00:25:43
Speaker 3: Tim Horton's the Canadian Toronto.
00:25:45
Speaker 1: It's like here now, yeah, there is a let me get the gas stations now too. I'm gonna I'm gonna get the actual story for y'all because this was like interesting. So there is a seventy five years old customer who went through the drive through didn't like the service she received, so went into went inside to confront the employee that gave her bad service. The employee called the supervisor to come and de escalate the situation, but during this moment, the customer shoved and hit the supervisor, which then led to a brawl. Well, during this brawl, the seventy five year old woman started having heart palpitations, which led to the ambulance being called, which led to her death. So there were conversations as to whether or not the supervisor of this coffee shop got charged with murder. Well, whoa you ready? No way, she did not, so it actually ended up being Even though the confrontation became fity, the medical examiner reportedly found no significant injuries from the altercation and said that they cannot determine with reasonable medical certainty whether this physical confrontation calls her death because she had pre existed pre existing congestive heart failure. So this was a real fuck around to find out. But baby, you shouldn't have been getting it. If you have heart issues, you shouldn't be letting your blood pressure get that high or where you're getting the physical you know, but yeah, it makes me think of that.
00:27:29
Speaker 6: You gotta know if you're physically fit to have an altercation with somebody. If you think that you might be a little over the hill, you might be a little out of shape, your cardio is up to snuff, then you should probably just cheat people with respect.
00:27:44
Speaker 1: Oh, I'm not gonna lie. This is why again, and I hate that. I feel like once a month I bring up gun laws. This is why I don't feel like people should have guns, because the niggas who don't have the health to fight just go straight for the weapon because you want to be disrespectful, you want to get loud to me, And now I gotta protect myself because I ain't got them hands or I ain't got the time to have my heart race so fast. But yeah, it's funny because all of these led to clearly ignorant thoughts this week. But let's get into this is America. John give us the update on the Nolan Wells case and the most recent update on the autopsy report.
00:28:28
Speaker 6: So at this time, the official autopsy has been completed and the findings of that autopsy have been sent to the grand jury for vetting as to whether or not there should be a criminal case. The chief of police and I believe the district attorney said that the protocol in this county is that all homicides see a grand jury and then the.
00:28:55
Speaker 3: Information is released to the public.
00:28:57
Speaker 6: But they use the grand jury first to find out whether there's a crime committed or not, so that I guess that the jury pool isn't tainted or that they have an accurate representation of what's going on before the public just sees everything and decides what it is first. Okay, So there has been no new information in regards to the second autopsy either because they still don't have all the information out yet. So whether or not they actually found anything new, it's still up in the air now. There was a pathologist who did an interview with TMZ. Her name is I think her name is doctor Keisha Davis.
00:29:38
Speaker 3: Her name right.
00:29:39
Speaker 6: She's spoke to TMZ and she was basically explaining what her job is and trying to inform the public about what it takes to do an autopsy. Now, she did say that a second autopsy is like doing an autopsy with they blindfold on, because the first autopsy they've dissected the they have all the organs they're taking stuff out, they've done dissections, so you're not getting the exact same thing that the medical examiner got.
00:30:09
Speaker 4: So so this.
00:30:11
Speaker 2: Is common practice.
00:30:12
Speaker 4: Yes, she said, this is common.
00:30:13
Speaker 3: In Mississippi or in general.
00:30:16
Speaker 6: She's saying, this is common practice that if you want, she said, it's basically getting a second opinion from a doctor.
00:30:21
Speaker 1: Because clearly a lot of the issues with I guess us receiving this information right had a lot to do with the fact that they received that they received the autopsy report that indicated there was no drowning eventually and that's clearly found in your lungs and all that, and the second atopsy didn't even get to receive those organs at all.
00:30:46
Speaker 4: Correct now, But she said, yeah, she said, that's common practice.
00:30:51
Speaker 6: But another point that she made because you know, obviously people hear information online and they run with these narratives. So her point was that just because if the first autopsy comes back and let's say they found there's certain injuries or certain things that you should see, like let's say Nolan got in a fight and one of those kids did something to them. Just said, there's certain injuries where if you see let's say a red mark, on your neck. It might can be a surface level thing and underneath that there's other things that are pathologists would use to find out. Okay, was this something done to you?
00:31:25
Speaker 4: Was it an accident? And certain signs will point to.
00:31:28
Speaker 1: That even if it was an accident like that, which is what the assumption is now, because it's given that something happened they threw them overboard, but he was dead prior to because clearly he didn't drown. He didn't.
00:31:40
Speaker 3: Yea, that was I mean, that's the rabbit holes.
00:31:43
Speaker 5: Like even when we heard the audio and you kind of envisioned, even though envisioning is not the for us this court of public opinion, right, we're like, Okay, they had discourse over whatever it was. I could see there might have been a physical confrontation, and that's when shit went left. They probably want to inflict punishment, not necessarily kill him.
00:32:02
Speaker 3: But guess what, but it's.
00:32:05
Speaker 2: The same thing that happened.
00:32:06
Speaker 1: Did y'all see the case of the two guys that were that were drunk and they got into a fight on a dock and he punched his friend apparently killed him upon impact, and instead of reporting it, threw his body into the water.
00:32:21
Speaker 3: He wanted to kill him.
00:32:22
Speaker 8: He's in charge because he did.
00:32:26
Speaker 1: You see that was and.
00:32:28
Speaker 3: He took he he throw a shoot and he threw yeah, to.
00:32:31
Speaker 1: Make sure nobody felt like, to me.
00:32:34
Speaker 3: That's a real time decision.
00:32:35
Speaker 4: Well, and I think so.
00:32:36
Speaker 2: That that's the conversation.
00:32:37
Speaker 1: Now, it doesn't matter who inflicted or potentially did the harm to Nolan Wells to have him die, it's the fact that the entire boat agreed to keep whatever information silent and throw him overboard. So to me, at this point, if if in fact whoever killed him first, the entire boat to me.
00:32:59
Speaker 2: Is completely to be complicit with we heard what a negligent. So it's that.
00:33:05
Speaker 6: So she brought up a point about that whole idea that let's say the the autopsy comes back right and they say, okay, well it doesn't look like there's any signs of foul play, right the public that the general public court of public opinion might not like that response, But that doesn't necessarily mean that the people on the boat are responsible. Because her point was, let's say he was let's say Nolan Wells was drowning and instead of helping him, they just watched that still a crime, Yes, Let's say they were he was drowning and something was going on, and someone didn't punch him or hit him, but they he was drowning and they pushed his head down. That wouldn't cause an injury. But you still physically aided in this person's death because they were drowning and you pushed them under or whatever.
00:33:57
Speaker 3: It is.
00:33:57
Speaker 2: This whole dialogue about.
00:34:01
Speaker 1: The dialogue and last week's correct.
00:34:03
Speaker 6: So there's all kinds of options of stuff that could come back. That doesn't necessarily mean that these people aren't culpable for what happened.
00:34:10
Speaker 1: Well, I'm definitely interested in seeing what progresses within this case. You know, Well, John, I want you to also introduce us next topic. This was your topic or a.
00:34:20
Speaker 3: King topic with the Progressive Service.
00:34:23
Speaker 5: Yeah online, and I thought about again last week we talked about having a sense of urgency at least I don't feel like we have it maybe too early, but I would like.
00:34:34
Speaker 3: To see more.
00:34:35
Speaker 5: But you know, people are going to the polls because we're starting to see seats being occupied by the dams or you know, the liberals. But within the Democratic Party, a progressive surg is becoming one of the biggest Democratic Party stories.
00:34:51
Speaker 3: Heading toward the midterms.
00:34:53
Speaker 5: So you know, progressive candidates have scored significant primary victories, including Abdul l s I E. Yeah, in Michigan, he won the state Senate the primary, the primary, sorry, which is creating a larger debate inside the party over whether it's electoral future lies with the more populous progressive message or centrist.
00:35:16
Speaker 1: I mean it's interesting because and I wonder Michigan is normally a blue.
00:35:22
Speaker 4: State, correct, but it's very it's a very it can be very blue.
00:35:29
Speaker 2: So to me, it's interesting.
00:35:31
Speaker 1: I mean, we're seeing these in cities and states that are primarily blue. And I say cities because Madami clearly he's New York City. We're having the Quitchlans Bottoms conversation versus Jegg Jackson. We also see that when it happens in a red state, it doesn't really happen, because we saw what just happened with Texas, right with Jasmine Crockett. And so I'm curious how many of these kind of stories we have in terms of progressives leading in the polls. Because you also included a clip, yes, ma'am, and I want to play that because Cory Booker took his high yellow ass on Don Lemon.
00:36:17
Speaker 5: Cooking, baby, Yeah, cooking. And that's what I'm like, You know, what are we doing?
00:36:27
Speaker 1: What are we doing?
00:36:27
Speaker 3: Are we serious? Well?
00:36:28
Speaker 1: This is what Corey Booker had to say on Don.
00:36:33
Speaker 10: I feel like Democrats have have helped pave the road to the hell we're in right now, and I think there's a fecklessness that should be should be unacceptable now for anybody in our party or anybody running for office. There there are two things we've got to do, and and if we don't get them done, shame on us. I think there we're going to have a good midterm election. I think very possibly, if we do the work, we can end up with Democrats in January of twenty twenty nine holding the.
00:37:04
Speaker 9: House, the Senate, and the White House. That work starts now.
00:37:09
Speaker 10: But if we get there and don't do two very big things, we don't deserve to lead anymore. And the first thing is once and for all, to end the corruption that is eating away at our country.
00:37:25
Speaker 9: It's being normalized in Washington.
00:37:27
Speaker 10: You have a Supreme Court right down the road from where I'm sitting right now. It takes unlimited gifts from billionaires who have interest in matters before them.
00:37:34
Speaker 9: The highest court in the land as the lowest ethics laws.
00:37:37
Speaker 10: We need to pass bold legislation that puts term limits on Supreme Court members and puts ethics laws that really bind them.
00:37:44
Speaker 9: Number two.
00:37:45
Speaker 10: A part of that answer that first thing we need to do is and the corruption in Congress is on both sides, Senators trading stocks, citizens united, allowing unlimited corporate cash to flow. So why almost a decade ago I gave up taking corporate pack money. Last year I said off, I'm not even going to take issue area pack money. We need to start showing that we are going to stop this and pass real legislation to get money out of politics, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to restore voting we have to do.
00:38:13
Speaker 9: We have voting freedom and voting equality, and then we have.
00:38:16
Speaker 10: To pass massive laws to never let a president do this again. That's the first thing, a real anti corruption platform. And then the second thing is when I go home to Newark, like I'm going to do very soon, we got to make people's lives immediately better and have big, bold ideas.
00:38:33
Speaker 6: The whole comments section of that video is this nigga talking about himself.
00:38:41
Speaker 1: That I know it was taking money a decade ago, but now the Dints now doing it.
00:38:47
Speaker 2: He made it and you are a part of the problem.
00:38:49
Speaker 3: You are a huge factor.
00:38:51
Speaker 5: Yes, everything that like we're in we got to stop doing it.
00:38:56
Speaker 1: You're all right?
00:38:57
Speaker 5: Since we hear who's we and who who you talking about? What's your consistion? Was that who's Since it's both sides, just stay on your side, Nick, call him, call him out.
00:39:06
Speaker 1: But also I hate that someone that's a part of the party is a product, is a part of the propaganda that everything is to blame for the Democrats. I remember when the TSA thing was happening. We wanted to the Democrats to hold out as long as possible, and they did it, but unfortunately that became a blame on the Democratic Party and not the Republican Party that made it a thing to begin with.
00:39:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's not favored right now.
00:39:30
Speaker 5: I think that that's what this is all about, and him doing that is I mean, we don't know if it called dissension, but.
00:39:35
Speaker 3: I can see where he and they are not aligned.
00:39:39
Speaker 5: The progressive and to be clean, he's at risk, to be honest, because guess what, when it's time for him.
00:39:46
Speaker 6: Here's the other part of it is that Corey Booker has already solidified his seat, so like he's going to be there regardless.
00:39:55
Speaker 2: Which is why he said, when I go back to Newark, he's there.
00:39:58
Speaker 4: He's there.
00:39:58
Speaker 1: He's not someone that's a part of any ballot or primary. He's right.
00:40:03
Speaker 4: Yeah, no, Corey Booker.
00:40:04
Speaker 3: I believe.
00:40:04
Speaker 6: I believe Corey Booker won his Yeah may yeah, Okay, he won his. He won his reelection, so he's gonna be there, okay. But the interesting thing that he said, he said a couple of interesting things. One of them he said he stopped taking money a decade ago. Well that's not even totally true, because last year it was reported that he took like seven hundred thousand dollars from a pack.
00:40:26
Speaker 4: He just started.
00:40:27
Speaker 6: He just stopped taking a Pac money. Yeah, it's like he had his they had his belly like like Tupac.
00:40:38
Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah, a.
00:40:40
Speaker 4: Paur at this point is what Charlemagne was calling him.
00:40:44
Speaker 6: But it's like, so you would just stop taking a Pac money and also like you stopped taking a Pac money because you know that it's not a good look for the current climate right.
00:40:54
Speaker 3: Now capitalists, but so so you've.
00:40:57
Speaker 6: Been on this wave this time, this whole time, because the Israel Palestine thing isn't a new issue, so you knew what it was. You were still taking money all of this time.
00:41:07
Speaker 4: An other part that.
00:41:08
Speaker 2: Was interesting, everybody got a price, right.
00:41:10
Speaker 6: The other thing that he said that was kind of slick was when he said term limits for the Supreme Court. Well, people have been asking for term limits for Congress and the House too. They don't want you to be there as long as you have been there. People are tired of that too. And y'all have been able to be career congress people, career senators.
00:41:30
Speaker 1: Because we learned that in fucking in middle school, right about the different branches of the government and all that thing. And it's funny because it's been a conversation even Trump has revisited as well, because people are saying that he's trying to remove the term limitations on presidency and so having these questions even when we're discussing the younger generation taking seats compared to these old heads that ain't never going to leave. It's just like, Okay, Corey, I need you to to speak.
00:42:05
Speaker 3: Of them who you are other light skinned red the politicians.
00:42:10
Speaker 1: I meanway wait, wait did you see the did you see also the gentleman in Georgia, the one, Oh my god, let me find him. Can you look him up real quick to find his name. So there's a Georgia. It was a county representative. He's like thirty two. He was the youngest. He ended up winning, and they literally just removed him from seat because he was misusing the credit cards of the things here in Georgiackridge, Stockbridge, Yes, what's his name? Look up the Stockbridge you know.
00:42:38
Speaker 4: What that's yea.
00:42:40
Speaker 1: They just ain't want that nigga there because he is young. He was, Yeah, he young, a young progressive, a young progressive. But to me, that's crazy. To be fair, it's the same thing they got Eric Adams investigated. He was taking money from.
00:42:55
Speaker 3: Other people to Stockbridge.
00:42:57
Speaker 6: Williams his file the second legal claim against the city stock Bridge him.
00:43:01
Speaker 1: Yeah, but using seven hundred thousand dollars of city fun.
00:43:08
Speaker 6: Yeah, they're talking about miss they say, misspending and sexual misconduct of some unnamed type. But yeah, they took him out office, and so he is filing a suit against the City of Stockbridge to try to get his seat back.
00:43:22
Speaker 3: There we go, I would.
00:43:23
Speaker 1: Trade bridges that California, Sybridge or Georgia. Yeah, yeah, Georgia.
00:43:29
Speaker 5: I would trade Corey Booker for Eric Adams.
00:43:32
Speaker 3: Really, I would bring back Eric Adams because then.
00:43:35
Speaker 1: We have Cory Booker's in New York not New York City.
00:43:37
Speaker 5: I'm just saying he's listen, eric Adams got his uh he's Albanian.
00:43:43
Speaker 4: Now clearly, yeah, he's.
00:43:45
Speaker 3: Got his Albanian nationality.
00:43:47
Speaker 6: Yeah, that was part of his One of his controversies is that the Albanians we're trying to get a consulate in New York City and allegedly shot Eric Adams a bunch of money have this, And then after he got out office, it was like, oh, yeah, you get Albanian citizenship now and you could be part of us now.
00:44:08
Speaker 5: I mean, I still he seems more reasonable, Like you can have a conversation and probably say hey.
00:44:14
Speaker 1: Now you doesn't want to you you think he'd be funner over over who could Cory Booker.
00:44:22
Speaker 3: With frown up on anybody?
00:44:23
Speaker 5: That's a huge darkening him not you called him a color ras.
00:44:28
Speaker 6: Well here's the other thing too, about like what he's talking about and like you know, democrats taking these seats and the progressive surge of certain candidates in certain places getting these nominations or winning their primaries, is that the big problem is going to be can Democrats get along?
00:44:48
Speaker 3: Can can career Democrats?
00:44:50
Speaker 6: Centrist Democrats, moderate Democrats get along with except embrace the further left wing of their party, who is becoming increasingly more culturally relevant, increasingly more powerful with the people, and increasingly more popular.
00:45:06
Speaker 4: Because he talks about we need to support.
00:45:08
Speaker 6: Big bold ideas, well, the big bold ideas are with people who are mandami like say like.
00:45:15
Speaker 3: And that's what.
00:45:18
Speaker 2: More things for the people.
00:45:20
Speaker 1: And I think that what we're also seeing within the Democratic Party, maybe because they keep getting on all these god damn platforms, is also how many Democrats actually have conservative leaning views and are a little bit more teetering than fully on the what the left, the left the left, and that's been a little bit more in the middle. And that's what we're struggling with too, because it's like, O, babe, you're kind of not really leaning like you know, society.
00:45:47
Speaker 6: Change people's taste, to change what people want has shame basicly even all that what nigga is one choice.
00:45:54
Speaker 5: Niggas gotta make you want the grim Reaper after November. You want to see fucking some life, Well I want to.
00:46:03
Speaker 6: And the interesting thing with that is, you know you talked about Abdul Yes, so he won his Michigan primary, and I know he did.
00:46:13
Speaker 4: And it's not what we're about to say.
00:46:17
Speaker 2: Go let it bring up the bad about well.
00:46:20
Speaker 3: So the thing with him is that.
00:46:22
Speaker 6: He he slipped, he barely won the primary. But the thing that was interesting about it is that he was doing an interview with I believe it was Jake Tapper or it might have been Uh, I think it was Jake Tapper, but he was talking about how five hundred thousand more Democrats came out to vote, and that number of that's a lot of people in that area, but even but that amount is what pushed him over the top. So going back to what we talked about last week, it's like, yeah, we kind of know where a lot of people are going to vote. It's how many people are going to be coming out to vote. Are they going to be excited? Are they going to show up?
00:47:00
Speaker 5: Because what are you going to add about he he gave credit to uh it was it hacking Jeffreys or Cory Book, saying oh yeah, And it was like, oh damn, you wait till you got and then you just you just bound down and kissing the ring already.
00:47:15
Speaker 4: Well, he's down to it.
00:47:16
Speaker 1: That's like saying, you know, just so you know, my favorite person on the internet, Jason what luck? You know what I mean? It's like like why would you come out of thing?
00:47:26
Speaker 3: Like?
00:47:26
Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Like how you gonna come out?
00:47:28
Speaker 3: And before I got one guy?
00:47:38
Speaker 6: Well, he's playing an interesting game because he's not running. He doesn't associate himself with the Democratic Socialists, but he agrees his platform agrees with most of their policies. So the question is, like, for people who aren't in blue states or swing states, can people like him who had have more progressive values find a way to campaign in a way that doesn't turn off the centrist people who are scared of socialists or the far left? Can he campaign in a way that where people can stay open minded even though he's essentially saying a lot of the stuff that Mondamie is saying and other progressive people are saying, But how do you package that?
00:48:23
Speaker 1: Well, it's interesting because that goes into our next topic, right, I think, heading into not only the presidential election, but midterms first, I think that we are seeing a lot of people who are regretting their decision even though voters and remarts.
00:48:38
Speaker 4: So I do want to.
00:48:38
Speaker 1: Play this clip because again, we're taking this. We just talked about Michigan, like we're taking this all over the world here with our news and information, but most recently, a chef by the name of Chef Creole, who's a restaurant tour in Miami, Florida, to the to the news stations, and I want to play a clip what he had to say before we get into talkishon redisince I voted for Donald Trump.
00:49:07
Speaker 11: The Chef Creole restaurant in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood is typically bustling with customers.
00:49:13
Speaker 4: Not today, people are scared.
00:49:15
Speaker 11: Owner Wilkinson Sejore says it's not just the clientele. After thirty four years in business, he's lost his entire management team at seven locations and will likely have to shut down two stores due to the end of Temporary protected status.
00:49:29
Speaker 1: The end the.
00:49:30
Speaker 7: TPS means for me that my future in the hospitality.
00:49:35
Speaker 2: Business is almost going.
00:49:38
Speaker 9: To be non existent.
00:49:40
Speaker 11: On Sunday, federal officers made an immigration arrest outside one of his restaurants. What would you say to the president that you voted for.
00:49:48
Speaker 9: He sold to me.
00:49:51
Speaker 5: That he is a businessman and that he will be making business decision.
00:49:56
Speaker 3: Do you regret your vote? Yes?
00:49:59
Speaker 7: I do.
00:50:08
Speaker 1: I mean, that's just all I know. Okay, okay, no, no, here we go give my mo.
00:50:18
Speaker 2: Hell your mother, I have that.
00:50:26
Speaker 1: You can have that, Okay for me, I'm not gonna hold you the idea of even voting. And this is where we talk about oftentimes myself right being socially liberal liberal, fiscally conservative. I get as someone who is in a certain tax bracket wanting to make a decision that will allow you to keep more of your money. However, when you lead into the social side of things, sir, you are a Haitian operating in the state of Florida.
00:51:03
Speaker 2: Maybe you was up there is.
00:51:05
Speaker 1: No way that you thought that TPS and the way that they were talking about the border with the Mexicans or talking about getting immigrants out of our country would not have an impact on your business. Chef Creole like when he says like and knowing that your staff majority of your staff is on certain citizens.
00:51:29
Speaker 3: Status, contribute to that ship the business nerves.
00:51:33
Speaker 5: Motherfuckers was telling all you niggas for the whole camp up until that November that year, what it was. Actually, No, they told you it wasn't because.
00:51:47
Speaker 3: You lost your workers.
00:51:48
Speaker 5: You individualism mass nigga lost your businesses. Now you want to and you, I bet you if he had running back, he wouldn't vote, which is what he was doing, the same thing as voting for the ops.
00:52:02
Speaker 3: And he No, that's what I'm saying. So and that's not just him, is a lot of them.
00:52:07
Speaker 5: Yeah, but when you go back to the reasoning, they all go back to they lost some self interest though, I mean, they lost whatever it was that would benefit them by making that vote.
00:52:15
Speaker 1: And I want to talk about talking fiscally because when we talk about those, when we talk about the people that voted for Trump in this last election, let's be very clear, we have also the people on the opposite scale, who may be middle class or lower middle class, that voted for him thinking they was about to get another twenty five hundred dollars check, like we had Sexy read out here talking about, Oh well, because he was out here giving checks to the people, That's why I'm voting for him. And that moment, didn't drop the check on the and she did. She didn't even get the check. But the fact that even on the opposite end, for people who aren't financially well and you know, can be privileged from any of the tax breaks that are given to them, on the other end, they just thought they was about to get another free check and didn't. I'm not I have zero empathy for the Cubans, for the Haitian community, for mind you. I ain't gonna hold you.
00:53:09
Speaker 2: I got a cousin.
00:53:14
Speaker 1: Jamaican and I literally sat across from and was like, not bad. You know my daddy here on a green cart. My uncle got deported, don't okay?
00:53:29
Speaker 3: Uh?
00:53:30
Speaker 1: But yeah, Like, I just don't understand anyone who's first, second, even third generation immigrant, who still has people here in this country, how they could have thought that these what Trump was saying would not have effected them. So I ain't gonna hold you bad. I ain't got no tense for your dollar.
00:53:50
Speaker 2: I don't even get shut down them.
00:53:52
Speaker 1: Restaurants, And I need you to bleed that money because you are a part of the problem. And guess what what was done was done. You can't take it back. So your vote in that red ass state. Is the reason why we still have another two years of this orange cracker.
00:54:07
Speaker 5: You know, it's crazy. He already gave us a simple size and the first time he ran right. But that was a narrative with say sorry, said the Haitian community. A lot of them voted for him because of the idea that they were going to be richer or he was going to provide these stemmys that would enhance the small businesses.
00:54:24
Speaker 3: All that ship and he don't give a.
00:54:26
Speaker 2: Fuck about small businesses.
00:54:28
Speaker 1: Like the people who he hired.
00:54:32
Speaker 3: They brought into it again and it's like, bro, this is that all right?
00:54:35
Speaker 5: He might have used that before, but this was a different playbook here that he told niggas he's running.
00:54:40
Speaker 3: With the problem.
00:54:42
Speaker 6: Like when he even when he says like, oh he sold me that he was a businessman and going to make business decisions, he did make a business decision for him.
00:54:50
Speaker 4: He made a business decision for him for those people.
00:54:54
Speaker 1: Haitian Restaurantru gave a about the grill that you was selling, about your pickle, Trump.
00:55:05
Speaker 2: Would he orange?
00:55:07
Speaker 6: Now he would turn the niggashit himself now spicy as what you did?
00:55:13
Speaker 5: He would say he had to play the black rice in front of him.
00:55:16
Speaker 6: That nigga were probably were probably dark, the white, the white.
00:55:27
Speaker 4: But it's like, yeah, bro like, I don't feel bad for you at all. Dog Like, they told.
00:55:31
Speaker 5: You what was going on, and you chose Latinas for Trump, Haitians for Trump, all the ones, Niggas for Trump too.
00:55:39
Speaker 4: He chose capitalism over community.
00:55:43
Speaker 6: He chose to do what he thought was best for his business and not what was best for his people. And now his people are gone and his business is about to be gone.
00:55:55
Speaker 3: It was easy decision to make.
00:55:57
Speaker 1: It should have been.
00:55:59
Speaker 4: It should have been.
00:56:00
Speaker 1: It should have been. But I don't know why I don't keep individualism.
00:56:04
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:56:04
Speaker 5: So also men like that don't't vote for a woman because they view that as as operative to their woman, where their woman can't be seen in a position of power.
00:56:16
Speaker 3: You know what.
00:56:17
Speaker 1: It reminds me too, I have this saying, because you know what is it? You got to be weary of the company you keep. To me, it's like if you are friends with a nigga that you know that robs or a girl that you knowed still from people like or if you are friends with someone who has the character to do something like that. You being surprised when it happens to you is like, oh, well, bitch, you ain't got nobody to be mad at but yourself. I would like, and I've been that person, like Damn, I see I saw them treat all these other people like this.
00:56:54
Speaker 2: I saw this bitch make fake pages for other bitches?
00:56:57
Speaker 3: Did they?
00:56:57
Speaker 1: Why did I not think that I would fall victim to the same thing. It so, the fact that Trump was publicly speaking on his distastes or dislike for Mexicans and other immigrants, why did you not think that the Haitian community and those immigrants, also with the black skin that they have, would not have been impacted.
00:57:20
Speaker 4: I don't understand the logic of it at all.
00:57:22
Speaker 6: But to your point though, and we've talked about this several times in various different ways, but like the isms that people come on suffer from racism, misogyny, whatever the thing is, homophobia, this ship does as much to impact you negatively as it does the people who you think that you are. Damn time, Like, imagine being so misogynistic that you don't vote for a woman, and then the man you vote for comes and closes down your business. Imagine imagine that imagine that. Imagine you don't have to imagine.
00:58:00
Speaker 1: He literally didn't think he would.
00:58:04
Speaker 4: Like I said before, like we talked about.
00:58:06
Speaker 5: Want to facts, cognitive dissonance, ignoring the ship when it's right there.
00:58:11
Speaker 6: It's right there, and it's like bro, Like we talked about men's health before. Niggas don't want to go get check ups because they think they're going to be gay. You want to be gay, you want to die? Do you want to vote for a woman? Do you want to have your business?
00:58:23
Speaker 5: Do you want to put his finger in your butt? When you get the ship check you don't know if he's gay.
00:58:28
Speaker 2: So technically, oh my god, not the job dropped.
00:58:40
Speaker 1: You just ignorant on this thing anyway, thinking no, let's go ahead and get into the men being ignorant. Now, this is not speak speaking of dissonance. This is not a sports podcast, but the Internet this week has been flooded with thoughts round two former NBA players, Royce White and enes Kancer declaring for the w NBA Draft as transgender.
00:59:11
Speaker 2: Now, what we like to do here instead of just playing the news?
00:59:14
Speaker 1: I do have a clip to play of Casey, who is a former guest here on selective ignorance, and I want to he is he is not what he's just I think he's an independent now. I think he's independent now. But I do want to play his clip and it is fairly long, but it includes both these guys because they both kind of came out separately to do this, which is odd.
00:59:40
Speaker 3: Oh the zoom call about listen.
00:59:43
Speaker 1: Yeah, they but here's here's the video.
00:59:47
Speaker 7: Former NBA big man turned political activist Ennis Canter says that he is declaring for the w NBA as a prospect.
00:59:54
Speaker 9: In twenty twenty seven, he put.
00:59:56
Speaker 7: Out a video declaring for the league along with this tweet explaining how he believes he meets the WNBA's eligibility requirements.
01:00:02
Speaker 12: After careful concentrationary viewing the current eligibility guidelines, I am officially declaring myself a WNBA prospect. If simply declaring who you are is all that's required, that I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA. My CM and I have carefully examined the WNBA's eligibility criteria and government framework surrounded self identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in May twenty twenty seven. I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disuspect any community or personal choices. I am simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone, rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for. My CM and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception forward through the WNBA, honoring its stated principles.
01:00:58
Speaker 7: Well, I'm sure this very real, serious declaration from enis cancer that is definitely not just a publicity stunt to make your point. Politically, I'm sure this will be met with many level headed, rational takes.
01:01:11
Speaker 9: But here's the thing.
01:01:12
Speaker 7: Within his cancer, you can't really put him in a box politically. Like some people will look at this stunt and they're automatically going to say, oh, he's he's a Trump supporter, he's MAGA, he's conservative, I hate him. Aner is anti any authoritarian government, specifically in Turkey.
01:01:25
Speaker 9: He was outspoken against his.
01:01:26
Speaker 7: Own government, which ended up getting him deported and banned from ever coming back. He's very anti China and was outspoken about the WNBA.
01:01:33
Speaker 9: Doing business with them.
01:01:34
Speaker 7: Now on the social issues, it's true he does tend to lean more towards what we in America considered to be traditional conservative values. Even with the WNBA, though he's been supportive of higher pay, better compensation, better treatment. The one sticking point is when it comes to gender in the WNBA.
01:01:52
Speaker 1: Now, you know, it's it's tricky because I saw a tweet that was quite funny to me, and it said that the concern that so many people have about transgender rights or how what what? What rights they get at all across the board, right from bathroom to all the things. Half of these people, probably a large majority of these people never even met a person in their life at all. Don't even have a trans person that they've been able to speak to and know. So for them to act like it's such a havoc for them to have whatever rights is crazy. Now. But on the opposite, and I do want to say because I think it's important. I do think that biologies should play a part in sports.
01:02:49
Speaker 3: So what are they advocate for?
01:02:51
Speaker 1: So to me, the advocation unfortunately they want, no, they want the w n b A to say what a woman is unfortunately they want to do.
01:03:00
Speaker 3: These two men care that much about it.
01:03:02
Speaker 2: They don't. They don't care.
01:03:06
Speaker 4: Either one of them care at all.
01:03:07
Speaker 2: Now we said neither one of them care.
01:03:09
Speaker 1: The other NBA player who went as far as even to post an image in a wig to say, my first wig got here, Royce White, who by the way, didn't even apparently read the rules of the NBA and didn't know that they traveled. Because this is a nigga who didn't get picked up and didn't continue being in the NBA because he didn't want to.
01:03:28
Speaker 4: Get off flightplane.
01:03:30
Speaker 1: He was scared of goddamn planes. So does he not think that also the w n B a travel bro so and that's how I know he doesn't genuinely care like this, Nor is he even at this point eligible to be a part of any league that travels, because you literally are not in the NBA because of your whatever. Mins. I also think he's one of those that just likes a tention. He does a lot of this, and he is actually Magdalini.
01:03:57
Speaker 6: Yeah, Royce is like the athletic version of Officer Tatum. Like they're they're doing the same grifts, they're doing the same funk ship like these are hello, these these are the League of Niggas like Royce, Royce and ins are part of that league.
01:04:16
Speaker 1: League of Niggas.
01:04:17
Speaker 3: Yes, so let me ask you what did they get drafted?
01:04:21
Speaker 13: They won't, they won't and we well and unfortunately, unfortunately, however, we could talk about them not caring, but this stunt has got enough attention to where the commissioner is holding a meeting to go over and unfortunately, have a fucking meeting about what.
01:04:39
Speaker 1: A woman is Unfortunately, who is eligible to be a player in the w NB.
01:04:46
Speaker 6: Well, the diabolical and in city is part of this whole thing, is that part of what they want is these are chaos agents, right, so what they want is chaos, and the chaos in this particular case will come from the fact that, Yeah, Kathy Engelbert, the commissioner WNBA, after all of this hubbub, came out and said, well, yes, you know, we have the owners meetings, We're gonna talk about this issue. The Players Association put out a statement basically saying there's nothing to talk about because we support all people, we support trans people, we support all women, we support So what the Players Association is essentially saying is that we don't care like will allow anyone to come in here. Who if a trans woman wants to play NBA basketball and she's good enough to play, and a team wants to draft her, she can play, that is immediately gonna butt has not only within the Players Association, because Sophie Cunningham really doesn't agree, right, and other players who probably don't agree along with her. So now you're gonna have the Players Association fighting amongst each other because I don't know who drafted that statement, but they made the statement public, which I'm sure they didn't take a vote on it, so they're speaking on behalf of the players, and half of the players are probably like Sophie Cunningham. You're gonna have the owners arguing about it. And to your main point, what they're looking for is the same way they ask democrats this question. They want society to define socially who is a woman, so that they can start excluding people from places that they want to participate.
01:06:19
Speaker 1: And you know, it's crazy. It reminds me of kind of the discourse right now that's gonna take place, these women coming out and letting them know like that they don't agree with Sophie or any of this conversation happening around transgender women and the attack on the queer community reminds me of how is women We are fine. I know the Internet doesn't say it, but there are women who even separate themselves, which is why feminism talks about there being white feminism, black feminism. There are women that don't align and won't agree with the fuck shit right, while we also have football players that will sit there and be like, me and this guy share the same locker room. So even though he's racist, he's me, he's next to Trump, We're still on the safe. I think that a league full of women who are also very cognizant of the difference between treatment with black and white women, because we're seeing it now. Even with the separation and conversations around a Caitlin Clark and Asia Wilson or an Angel Rehees, there's clear distinction between black and white women. I think, knowing that the league is predominantly queer, these conversations are going to be very difficult to have, and it's as women if we're going to keep this league together and continue growing, we can allow this discourse in because bitches is going to call other bitches out and uk be out here just saying all this shit, like the majority of our team is not a part of this community, and transgenders are absolutely a part of the lgbt q I A plus community, which is majority of the league. So where maybe in male sports there's there's a line drawn between politics, this is literal identity and a community that is predominant within.
01:08:05
Speaker 6: The the WNBA.
01:08:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm curious to see how this goes. Also because Sophie like took back. I'm sure she got scolded as well by who who knows, because she's clearly cool with being Maga Barbie for the league, right, Yeah, she's cool with taking all the privileges of looking like the girl next door, getting a sneaker deal, not scoring even ten points, Like she ain't even.
01:08:30
Speaker 4: You know what I mean. She's trying to walk the line because she did Tommy Laurence.
01:08:34
Speaker 1: She's just she's reminding me of like Angel Rees when she leaned heavily into i think the social like even having a podcast so early and being more vocal. She is just leaning into everything that's gonna have her invited to the White House.
01:08:50
Speaker 6: And she's also trying to walk the line because I think she recognizes the environment that she's in, right, she's She went on ESPN she did an interview saying, well, people are assuming that I'm MAGO.
01:09:00
Speaker 4: Or that I'm anti trans. I never said that.
01:09:03
Speaker 6: So it's like, all right, girl, I love everybody. I just think that this shouldn't be able to happen. I'm like, all right, well, either however you wanna whatever line you want to walk on, however you want to couch it. You're not for this, and the people who are for it, you're gonna be viewed as anti.
01:09:20
Speaker 1: And I don't know what her current contract is, but I'd be interested to see if she becomes less desirable and how much this tanks her, you know, desire even from other teams going into the next season or again, I don't know how long her contract is with the team she's on, but we saw that when players get a little political, I can compare it to Kyrie Irving. When you have someone that goes against the machine or shakes up the foundation of the machine, it can kind of have an impact on how your career takes place within this league.
01:09:56
Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I mean that we talked about cognitive in this right, so Laura Lumer. She is like a conservative. She's like one of these bum bitches like Magan Kelly. She's on that ship. And she tried, I'm sorry, not Laura making Kelly actually said that she was trying to differentiate between uh, Kaitlyn Clark and Colin Kaepernick, basically saying that, uh, you know, she asserts that Kaitlyn Clark is facing anti white racism and won't speak out against it, and she wants she thinks that Kaitlyn Clark is a coward for not speaking out about the anti white racism, but will tell Colin Kaepernick to shut up and driven.
01:10:36
Speaker 1: I think it's tricky though, even because I don't know if you saw Sophie cunning him if I'm not mistaken, just got a flagrant foul and or well something was about the white could you could you look that up real quick? There's a there's a Sophie Cunningham flagrant fouls. Whoever else was involved?
01:10:54
Speaker 3: She got clothes line Angel.
01:10:57
Speaker 6: No, it wasn't Angel, it was somebody else. They would I forget what team they were playing, but she based Sophie Cunninghand basically got like hooked on.
01:11:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, but someone else came out and was like, well, that's white privilege. So I don't know what privilege she received in the clothes line if she will.
01:11:12
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh that might have been different.
01:11:15
Speaker 1: What does it say during the first quarter? Oh?
01:11:21
Speaker 7: John?
01:11:21
Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, John, the one who was just called it.
01:11:28
Speaker 3: Of the w n B.
01:11:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, she called it either either white privilege of some sort, and I was just like, okay, so maybe, okay. Regardless, I think that as a league that's constantly growing, as a league that's already fighting so many disadvantages just because it's a league of women and you know them fighting equal pay and all the other things, this is about to get nasty.
01:11:49
Speaker 2: It is, and I hate that as a league.
01:11:52
Speaker 1: That is so lgbt Q I friendly. May now I have to sit here and honestly put something in that will discriminate against that part of the community being a part of this league unfortunately, because like I said, it's tricky, there is those men joining the league would not be fair. It's not. It's it's the same reason why I don't know there was someone in Europe they did allow man to join a swim team.
01:12:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, and was just not it just wasn't It wasn't fair.
01:12:25
Speaker 6: I also hate the fact that these are two men who are basically it's like they waited to co opt this thing, Like Sophie Cunningham kind of started this media fire and now there's two grown men. Two men are co opting this moment to be able to do this stunt because like.
01:12:42
Speaker 1: Black men love coming to the side of white women, don't they bro because Roy is like, but he black?
01:12:48
Speaker 2: And oh, I guess he's Turkish?
01:12:51
Speaker 3: Yeah? Changed enis cancer? Freedom?
01:12:55
Speaker 1: Is that wek Yeah, he.
01:12:56
Speaker 6: Changed his name to Freedom after because Turkey bandom. He can't come back to Turkey because he was talking that shit about the Churchi's government, which is probably true.
01:13:03
Speaker 1: But again, like I need them to ban some niggas out of here.
01:13:06
Speaker 6: That would be not sh send some of these niggas about here, somebody. Yeah, it's just it's it's fucked up for the w NBA because do you care?
01:13:14
Speaker 1: I'm curious. That's a lot of the conversation too. Do y'all care about this rule that's in the books for the w n b A and do you think they are going to have to change it because of this? Like clearly a lot of people don't even care about the NBA, the w NBA. Unfortunately it's getting more buzz, but a lot of motherfuckers don't give a fuck. Yeah, do y'all care about this?
01:13:36
Speaker 6: I care about the fact that people are treated fairly, and I care about the fact that this is a stunt that's being used to weaponize people's identities. I don't like that shit like the w n B A is probably if they come out against this, the w NBA is going to have a pr problem that they're not going to be able to explain, okay, And so I feel like I care from that. I want people to be treated fairly and I don't like this weaponization of the issue to create this kind of chaos that it is not cool to not.
01:14:09
Speaker 1: Mad at that, as we say in sports. I want to know if you care about this, only because I saw quite the outrage and we don't have to make this segment very long. But Kenny Smith is about to enter his third marriage with a woman who is nineteen years younger than him. There While Barkley and Reggie Miller sent congratulations, the consensus hopped in the comments to say she about to take half not worth anything but this age gap and clear distinction and wealth gap, wage gap. People feel as though he's dumb and should not do this without a prenup. Now, when when I talk about the things, I get dragged. But I am curious, by the way, he's sixty one, she's forty two, So it's not like this as a twenty year old woman.
01:15:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, she's a grown.
01:15:07
Speaker 1: She has a grown child, and she's also been married twice before, so they both would be entering.
01:15:15
Speaker 3: Their third marriage.
01:15:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm like.
01:15:20
Speaker 1: What are do y'all have thoughts? Do y'all align with people?
01:15:23
Speaker 2: I also think align with people that what who.
01:15:26
Speaker 1: Think that this is odd? He should get a prenup, He should protect himself. She's only doing this for the money.
01:15:32
Speaker 3: You know, it's odd. Talk talk to me, why the fuck are we in these people's business?
01:15:37
Speaker 1: Well, even when I say, hey, I don't know why everybody cares about this guy, nam.
01:15:44
Speaker 3: I'm talking about when to get to the nitty gritty of husband and wife ship.
01:15:47
Speaker 1: And if you think the third ship that they already know, you would think they.
01:15:50
Speaker 5: Learned from even if out of prenup, he has something they have understanding about an action, should it go left right?
01:16:00
Speaker 3: I don't care about this nigga's frena. Yeah, her and her fores.
01:16:04
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. I also do not give a fuck about age gap when both people are.
01:16:08
Speaker 3: Over forty Yeah to be that.
01:16:10
Speaker 2: I mean over thirty. I ain't gonna lie.
01:16:12
Speaker 3: Yeah.
01:16:12
Speaker 1: I wouldn't even be mad at a thirty year old with a sixty year old like you're thirty.
01:16:17
Speaker 5: Younger women like older dudes now and vice versa.
01:16:20
Speaker 1: These young niggas love old bitch.
01:16:22
Speaker 3: Yeah.
01:16:23
Speaker 1: No, see, you can't look at We.
01:16:25
Speaker 2: Talked about it with Dreya.
01:16:26
Speaker 1: It's been a thing then with Drea Michelle. Everyone that Shesha Colbin Dayton is a good fifteen plus years younger than the old Dreya is twenty twenty one years older than she's.
01:16:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, she don't look it. But people have an issue with the age.
01:16:43
Speaker 5: You agree with that if you're over the age, if you're an adult, that's all that matters.
01:16:47
Speaker 1: Okay, what's the minimum age? That age gaps shouldn't matter? If I say thirty, Do you agree with that, because clearly this.
01:16:54
Speaker 3: Age gap is over thirty.
01:16:57
Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, people are thirty.
01:17:00
Speaker 3: I mean yes, I don't think age any adults.
01:17:04
Speaker 4: I don't think it.
01:17:05
Speaker 6: I don't think it matters. I think you can be thirty and still be like childish, childish and be a foolish But I say, you're a grown ass person.
01:17:12
Speaker 1: If both people are over thirty.
01:17:14
Speaker 3: But you think it was for the vibes, or you think it's for something else.
01:17:17
Speaker 4: At thirty, you can still be for the vibes.
01:17:19
Speaker 3: I think it could be for that.
01:17:20
Speaker 1: And by the way, let's be very clear, Kenny Smith and his health and his body is given with my nigga out here given like you said, sixty one years old, he's in shape. Kenny Smith is probably in better shape than a lot of men in their thirties, right, sure, Because maybe I get on the internet them belly's bellying, it's given, belly game, cush all over the goddamn a country.
01:17:42
Speaker 3: You see some money to get membership.
01:17:45
Speaker 1: And nobody get no goddamn.
01:17:47
Speaker 6: I mean, my thing about it is a I don't really care about this, but beyond that, my thing about it, I just can't imagine getting married a third time. No shit, like if I get if I get married and divorced, okay, that's bad enough. I can see maybe you find love again somewhere, somebody you really care about. Okay, cool, you find that doesn't work. But at that point, it's like, all right, well I'm just outside.
01:18:08
Speaker 1: Listen.
01:18:09
Speaker 4: I need to have a life partner. That's just me and you.
01:18:11
Speaker 6: We're going to do this life togetherstand and if it falls apart and falls apart, but I'm not getting married at that time.
01:18:16
Speaker 1: Promise rings for all. Let's just go back to promise. I don't know why we got to keep making things legal. We know that we all change after a certain time. Let's just let's just let's get back to actually something that made since younger.
01:18:30
Speaker 2: Let's just do the promise rings.
01:18:31
Speaker 1: I'm telling you it would be much better now. We don't have to spend much time on this now because we got two more topics before we get out of here.
01:18:38
Speaker 3: Yeah.
01:18:39
Speaker 1: Second to last, one twenty four year old accused of scamming athletes found dead in his pool after the wellness call. There's a guy, a grip or a scammer, whatever you want to call him. He was found dead in a swimming pool after targeting x NFL players with schemes for over a million dollars, one player who invested all of his five hundred thousand dollars in savings thoughts.
01:19:04
Speaker 2: I think Florida, dam at.
01:19:09
Speaker 3: Your city, yesterdate is not my state.
01:19:12
Speaker 1: Stop stop stop stopping right now.
01:19:15
Speaker 3: Let me see where he got I mean, that's that's uh.
01:19:19
Speaker 1: By the way, his name is oh, I'm lying, uh Mohammed Coolie Bailey, COOLi Bailey. It starts with see uh. Was found in swimming pool in Jersey. So this has actually taking place in New Jersey. Take Crowder, a former New York Giants linebacker, was the one who's who spent the five hundred thousand into one of his fraudulent stores. So the scam that he was doing was he was like selling storefronts that looked like they were generating income. And there's a lot of storefronts, right they do drop ship and all that. So basically he was selling these storefronts showing financials that were fraudulent, getting these players to invest. So the they are looking, they invest into these sores that they're seeing or generating all this income and it's not. And so after a while when they're like, well, where's my money. If this is what the numbers are showing, that that's where the scheme was found. And he was found in the swimming pool. I'm not gonna lie around to find out community the same way I don't give a fuck about, say a rapist or a pedophile getting killed in prison, right, I'm not mad at whichever one of these NFL players put a bounty on that niggerhead in a swimming pool.
01:20:31
Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
01:20:32
Speaker 2: Well that was on.
01:20:39
Speaker 4: His roof looking down like period.
01:20:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you get what you get, bro.
01:20:43
Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know if there's any signs of foul play that they found yet in this case, but you know, if there is, no one will be surprised and it'll just kind of be what it is.
01:20:53
Speaker 3: Bro.
01:20:53
Speaker 4: You made your bed, got to sleep.
01:20:55
Speaker 1: You made your bed. Crazy Alight will last topic and celebrities say the darness things asap Rockie Rocky pretty much uh hopped in the comments section after a graphic designer publicly shared a private DM where asap proper asap Rocky pretty much hit. This graphic designer was like, YO, really like your work. Would love to hire you. I would be honored to get the opportunity to work with you. The graphic designer, who has over a million followers, screen shotted the DM with a mind blown emoji attached and pretty much was like, yo, look at this. Asap Rocky hopped in my DMS, in which as like that yes, in which acep hopped in the comments and was like, Yo, this is mad corny. Uh, I don't really like that you did this, so I no longer want to work with you. Thoughts on that, because what's funny about that is when I saw the DM, I went to the graphic designer's page and followed him. I was like, yo, I hope the price don't go up because his is actually good. And so for me, though, I don't think I see it if the blogs don't post this moment either, So catch twenty two for me, because it did end up being something that works from a marketing perspective, which could I think lead to now a lot of new customers as well. You just may now miss working out with one client.
01:22:21
Speaker 5: There's a word starts with an H, ends with the t oh wait wait wait can we guess?
01:22:27
Speaker 3: Go ahead? Starts with an H and ends with a tes.
01:22:31
Speaker 1: This give given jetmary.
01:22:35
Speaker 2: Hot?
01:22:38
Speaker 1: Okay, we tried, we tried. I'm not going hypocritical, hypocritical, hypocrite.
01:22:44
Speaker 5: No, no, okay, but I tried look at me.
01:22:48
Speaker 1: It's scramble. Starts with age is how many letters?
01:22:53
Speaker 4: Wait?
01:22:53
Speaker 3: How many letters?
01:22:54
Speaker 12: This?
01:22:54
Speaker 3: We uh ten? This word it stems out of.
01:23:00
Speaker 5: You know, you had the guys who will stand outside of supreme to get the new drops and hype.
01:23:07
Speaker 2: Beast hype Oh you got that hype beast.
01:23:11
Speaker 4: Hype beast and one hundred percent.
01:23:15
Speaker 5: Even the best time to post that picture if he was being a hype beast to do it after to do the work.
01:23:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, now you have the license to show except Rocky problem.
01:23:26
Speaker 1: Because the same way Jack Carlo want the ghost writers. Yeah, the same way some some people don't want.
01:23:34
Speaker 5: Let's just let's just assume that he was because a sap. But then again it's still private. Yeah, but he reached out, reached out for the work, you know, to get that part you did the work for Bucket bro the couorum. It's just like there was just rules, hidden rules that you don't do. You're about to get a bag and then some except Rocky does cavin clients right, m so justom.
01:24:02
Speaker 1: Owned business. Can we talk about it?
01:24:06
Speaker 5: These are who these are his ecosystem of money. So it's like if they need a design of somebody to do some work or whatever it.
01:24:12
Speaker 4: Is somebody around at first.
01:24:15
Speaker 3: What he just worked with it just.
01:24:16
Speaker 1: Because I see a lot of people do and and to be fair, celebrities themselves do it for even bigger celebrities when they get a comment or follow by someone big or something like that. I've seen people be like even Housewives celebrity, Oh my god, Rihanna's under my picture or Rihanna followed me. So unfortunately, you can't call it a hype beast when there is now an ecosystem where we talked about, when we talked about it becoming normal for parents to even post the discipline of their children. We see there is a normalization of this happening. So to call it a hype beast esque thing, I think it's kind of But everyone does it. We see our faves post about their faves, like we see people when they get the chance to.
01:25:02
Speaker 3: Meet business but.
01:25:05
Speaker 4: Not for nothing.
01:25:06
Speaker 3: That's like Jason is following me.
01:25:09
Speaker 1: Now we have we have cornballs like fucking cam hopping in hopping in on internets talking about not only did j Cole's not giving the thing?
01:25:18
Speaker 2: Who else was he just getting on this past week?
01:25:22
Speaker 4: Now?
01:25:22
Speaker 1: Getting on? No, no, no, it wasn't vic Men, so that was on something else. There's somebody who owed him a verse car now Cardi B. So he's doing the same ship that he did with Call now to Cardi B. Like Yo, she promised to come up as a guest if I gave her a versity.
01:25:38
Speaker 3: Like a crime.
01:25:39
Speaker 6: He said he was gonna leak her nudes or something like that.
01:25:43
Speaker 1: But but I say this to say for their beat too. But Kim's the hype beasts, and whether.
01:25:49
Speaker 6: You're celebrity or not doing it for another celebrity, it's all hype beast type of activities.
01:25:54
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. They didn't even let the agreement play out.
01:25:56
Speaker 1: Cam specifically didn't let no agreement play out before he starts posting and talking shit too.
01:26:01
Speaker 3: I just can't.
01:26:02
Speaker 1: No one knew there was an agreement made between y'all about in exchange for a verse and a feature on the podcast Who Cam brought it up? It was Cole first and he had to damn near bully the nigga to even show up on his show.
01:26:14
Speaker 2: But he's doing it not a Cardi B.
01:26:16
Speaker 1: Where he's like, Yo, I waited long enough, I gave you a verse, Whether you use it.
01:26:19
Speaker 3: Or not shout out to j Cole.
01:26:21
Speaker 5: It seems like he was kind of curbing him, and I think that Cam was like, nah, I.
01:26:26
Speaker 3: Did you a favor. I want my favorite back too.
01:26:30
Speaker 1: So to me, maybe it's just the back to everyone Caim included, because clearly it wasn't on paper, which is why you just got embarrassed niggas. Clearly now it's just a recurrenceive not hype beast behavior, but just bad business, mad people. It's just bad business.
01:26:47
Speaker 6: Well the thing is too, Like I can't imagine being so cloud chasing that you out cloud chase the cloud that she was about to be given. Like, if your whole thing is to get cloud asap Rocky, the fact he hit you up, he wanted to do work. That's your clout right there. All you got to do now is do the work, execute the thing that he wanted to get done. It comes out in the world and then you can be like, yo, this is the ship that I did for Asap Rocky.
01:27:11
Speaker 3: Because I'm here, I'm.
01:27:13
Speaker 1: Curious because a lot of people in the in the DMS were like, well, dms are private and it shouldn't be public. So I'm curious if let's minimize this right to maybe a coworker or someone. Would y'all feel away if anyone posted a message between you and them for while, Yeah, for.
01:27:33
Speaker 6: What even if it's even if it's not anything that's of significance, I'm like, has.
01:27:38
Speaker 1: It happened before? Because for me, for me, it's not that I that it's posted things to me, it reminds me of how like people. There's mad people that hop in certain comments on other pages or whether I'm in it or not, that have to let people know that we went to high school together or they met me. There's one girl in particular, I'm so annoyed by her. Every fucking time anything goes viral of me, she's under the comments letting people know that we made out of a sex club. So why the like, yeah that time at the club? Oh my god, she has such good lips. When I tell you, hold on. When I say I would never kiss the bitch again, I'm lying, but I oh my god, but when I tell you of it all, I no longer would want to associate with her because this is the behavior you're displaying. I don't want.
01:28:40
Speaker 5: Anyone imagine if it was something like super significant, like what anything some some I don't know you bought her groceries for a year or some ship like something like that's you and her, that's all.
01:28:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I.
01:28:57
Speaker 1: Mean I ain't gonna hold You could tell him I bought your grocery for a year, but the kid's sticking in the same club. Why are you telling my business? And she'd be like, and then she knows I don't even know her name. She's like, this is red lipstick girl. She she literally.
01:29:13
Speaker 2: It's like because she knows the comments, she.
01:29:15
Speaker 1: Got her mind.
01:29:15
Speaker 3: The other people follow up.
01:29:18
Speaker 1: It's some she'll do it under the decisions decisions post like to let.
01:29:22
Speaker 3: The notifications is on.
01:29:25
Speaker 1: It's witch.
01:29:26
Speaker 3: She's holding on to that thing like you gotta go see her.
01:29:29
Speaker 1: This is red lips and it's probably I only know it because, bitch, why are you wearing red lipstick?
01:29:34
Speaker 2: You ruined my face for the rest of the night.
01:29:35
Speaker 1: Now I'm marked. Yeah, no, it was just goofy. But yeah, I agree. I don't like cloud chasers, but I think instead of the hype beasts, because it has become normal normalized, it's just showing everybody out here doing bad business.
01:29:48
Speaker 3: And no, he ain't got no.
01:29:50
Speaker 2: I know, lie, he might get me as a client I like his work might.
01:29:55
Speaker 7: Not.
01:29:55
Speaker 1: Now I feel like he got to overcharge because yesterday's price that went down, I don't think it went down. He asap Rocky at least like you enough, which means to.
01:30:07
Speaker 3: Me, I'm creative.
01:30:09
Speaker 5: I'm a creative and I want to in terms of everyone else, like in terms of that, like I could see him looking looking you look like you know what.
01:30:17
Speaker 2: You know it's crazy if I was asap Rocky.
01:30:19
Speaker 1: You want good business, well damn, you already got this much like publicity from using me let's work. But like, now I gotta be free because you donet got the free promo from even what the business would have looked like my name because you posted and it was my name and ended up in all these blogs.
01:30:39
Speaker 2: You're going to get more customers from me.
01:30:41
Speaker 1: Do the do the work for free, because now you got because it might have been in my contract that you can't use me for your Now you done got all this promo from me.
01:30:50
Speaker 2: I'll still work with you.
01:30:51
Speaker 1: But that's how I would have responded, Oh baby, it's on the house. If you get all these clients, tell because my name is attached to now your business, baby, I'm getting.
01:31:00
Speaker 6: Get from Hopefully it's a lesson learned from him. I mean, I'm sure he can probably get to your point. Like more like non celebrity people customers who would just see his work and be like, oh.
01:31:10
Speaker 3: This dude is with him.
01:31:12
Speaker 2: But yeah, like I'm a non celebrity.
01:31:14
Speaker 6: But but like now you know, other people might second guests like, oh, well, maybe I don't want.
01:31:23
Speaker 3: To fuck with this dude because he just talks too much.
01:31:26
Speaker 1: I just think at the end of the day, anything in private should stay there, should stay there. However, because I live in reality, all things done in the dark must come to the light. So you also have to understand that even things that you sin, if it's not a disappearing thing or I mean, but even that the finishing mode, you could take a picture with another with another camera. So to me, I don't I think that we unfortunately, even living in the most surveyed city in America, we have to understand that not many things are gonna stay private anymore. Unfortunately.
01:32:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think we have to just be okay with that reality.
01:32:06
Speaker 6: I think it depends on what it is, though, Like it's one thing if you're gonna.
01:32:10
Speaker 1: Like I know I kissed the bitch and I ain't know her. Well, I could be upset, but I can't be surprised. So like, as a celebrity knowing that other people do this, why would you be surprised or like? But no weird behavior anymore to me.
01:32:24
Speaker 6: Okay, but let's say it was a celebrity woman who accidentally sent a nude to some random You.
01:32:31
Speaker 1: Don't accident, y'all. Gotta stop with this ship.
01:32:34
Speaker 6: You can't accidentally send a new yoa.
01:32:36
Speaker 1: But you can't do you know, you gotta scroll through the album, you gotta click on it.
01:32:41
Speaker 2: Twitterion people, I believe you can.
01:32:48
Speaker 1: Send it to the wrong person, but you're not accidentally uploading it. No, I hold you like out of the screenshot at a friends text message and I wanted to talk ship about it with an other friends and it back to that you ain't never do that all the time, No, no, no, oh, bitch. When I tell you like and I did it one time and didn't catch it quick enough. I didn't and so you were setting that to somebody, was.
01:33:18
Speaker 3: Like, that didn't happen for me, delete.
01:33:25
Speaker 4: For everyone.
01:33:27
Speaker 1: That was when I say I didn't did that more times than I'm because if you get a screen shot of your Okay, if you get a picture sent back of you, or if you get a screen one way conversation.
01:33:46
Speaker 3: That you had with.
01:33:50
Speaker 4: That particular card it down, I want you to know I.
01:33:56
Speaker 1: Do not know yet the person that sent it to you was about to talk about what else it was getting sent to a group chat.
01:34:05
Speaker 3: You don't want to know exactly who and what the what level of one to tend you was.
01:34:11
Speaker 2: Gonna no way to get around the screenshot.
01:34:15
Speaker 5: You're not gonna be friends anymore because you're gonna want to find out your nigga, what was really good?
01:34:21
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna The only response to getting a screenshot of you or a photo of you is what the fun was you talking about?
01:34:29
Speaker 3: Me?
01:34:29
Speaker 1: About it?
01:34:31
Speaker 3: Talking about you took that part? So you're talking about what?
01:34:34
Speaker 9: What?
01:34:34
Speaker 7: What?
01:34:34
Speaker 3: What we were talking?
01:34:35
Speaker 1: What I'm saying? It's what you said?
01:34:37
Speaker 4: Or is how you who you?
01:34:40
Speaker 1: It's your skin, it's it's something. It's good. And ladies, if you use face tune on that picture and it gets sent back to you, the person sending it is the conversation is now, bitch, who is this?
01:34:56
Speaker 3: Yeah?
01:34:56
Speaker 1: That is the only conversation she thinks she is.
01:34:59
Speaker 2: You know, could have got that is the only conversation.
01:35:03
Speaker 1: If one of your face tuned images get sent back to your phone by accident as a screenshot from somebody who's supposed to be your friend, your friend who's talking shit.
01:35:11
Speaker 3: You can't even do it.
01:35:18
Speaker 2: Anyways, we are out of here, y'all.
01:35:21
Speaker 1: We got to all of our topics and we only went five minutes over. I said, ninety minutes, baby, were keeping this thing on time. I did think we would get out of here a little earlier, but you know, we actually had some really good topics that we kind of veered and steered away from in this episode. Now, y'all, I do want to let you know I talked about in the beginning of the show. If you haven't yet, look up the Let's Talk About Sex conference. I had an amazing time. There was a performer that danced to spoken word around the sexualization of black bodies. This woman was easily two fifty plus in a burlesque damn near naked on stage, and the just power of the word around the history of black women and black bodies, and seeing her up there in a body that so many people would shame and talk about and her just living in her freedom. I believe her name is Naomi. She was incredible. She was incredible and if I'm not mistaken, the person that read the spoken word while she danced, her name is frequency, spelt like free Quincys, and she was really dope. It was just amazing. Shout out to Monica Simpson who is the director over at Sister Song for putting it on. It was about twelve hundred women with all like either clinicians or organizations that build community around providing safety nets or resources to women in all these different realms, so LGBTQ, domestic violence victims again, women fighting for reproductive justice. It was incredible. So shout out to Sister Song and let's talk about sex conference. Besides that, do y'all want to shot anything out or do y'all got anything coming up?
01:37:07
Speaker 10: I know?
01:37:09
Speaker 1: Is the thing next month that we were talking about attending in New York?
01:37:12
Speaker 2: Is that free and open to the people?
01:37:15
Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
01:37:16
Speaker 1: Is it Dallas? People like? Do we want to even talk because we may be as I want to bring. I like the look you leaning. I'm just we both went this morning.
01:37:28
Speaker 5: But if you want to dance the third annual shout out rest in peace to Boot God, Long Live God, Boot God.
01:37:36
Speaker 3: September twenty sixth.
01:37:38
Speaker 5: Yes, look on Dallas Pen Forever Instagrams for more details as it develops.
01:37:43
Speaker 3: But you know you will be that always did it and we are trying to be there.
01:37:49
Speaker 5: Shout out the Premium Pete, shout out the whole, shout out the Felton, shout out to shout out to everybody involved.
01:37:54
Speaker 3: Man salute.
01:37:55
Speaker 1: And it's again September twenty six And that's just something I wanted to put that on radar. If you're in New York City of Texas in Brooklyn, so.
01:38:05
Speaker 2: Just wanted to put that.
01:38:06
Speaker 1: Just mark your calendar, look it up, just make sure to be there because we may all pull up.
01:38:11
Speaker 3: A game time.
01:38:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, anything you got going on?
01:38:15
Speaker 3: What do I have going on? No? I was just a regular nigga period inajamas.
01:38:21
Speaker 2: Who I did not respect all episodes because.
01:38:24
Speaker 3: The tires get up. Yeah. I actually got these for Christmas.
01:38:29
Speaker 1: Of course, you think I love pajamas, don't do this. I don't want to retire the same way niggas wear the Birdberry shirt at baby showers.
01:38:42
Speaker 2: These are the Christmas pants every nigga I know.
01:38:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, in President you got some hot chocolate, you got some cookies or something.
01:38:52
Speaker 1: Another man, if you've ever hitted the baby shower, you got a Birdberry shirt.
01:38:54
Speaker 3: So that's how you go. That's official. Go to Instagram and follow.
01:39:02
Speaker 5: At the Weekly Drop, hello, how about that the building you know to to just contribute to the taste maker aspect of highlighting all this dope ship that's out here that everybody claims that don't exist or don't hear on the radio, because that's a whole different conversation. But at the Weekly Drop, get familiar. At the weekly you're familiar.
01:39:24
Speaker 1: Well, guys, thank y'all so much. Oh my god, it just hit me.
01:39:27
Speaker 3: What's that? Oh my god?
01:39:29
Speaker 1: I feel oh ship, No, no, no, no, I'd even get justice, you would, I say, just.
01:39:34
Speaker 4: You've been feeling this ship for forty five I feel like this whole.
