Charitable Status. AI in the Catholic Church. Halloween and Higher Education.

In this episode, correspondents Luke Mandato and Quinton Amundson join host Mickey Conlon, opening with a conversation about the federal government's decision to not pull the charitable status of faith-driven organizations and churches and whether pro-life groups will be afforded the same courtesy. Register staff then look at the AI symposium at St. Mary’s University, with Amundson giving a rundown of McGrattan’s comments in particular. In Ottawa and Mississauga, Mandato explores different Catholic alternatives to Halloween that are popping up at parishes, before Conlon speaks to the Register's latest Higher Education feature.
