What separates the true God from countless imitations? He's alive – and He interacts with us personally.
The message from Acts 14 cuts through religious fog to reveal an incredible truth: while false gods remain distant and demanding, the living God draws near. From Adam in Eden through the prophets and ultimately through Jesus Christ, God consistently demonstrates His desire for relationship with those He created.
This stands in stark contrast to both ancient idols like Jupiter and Mercury and our modern substitutes – whether alcohol, entertainment, relationships, or success. These "vanities" demand our worship but deliver only emptiness. They control our lives much like gods, yet lead inevitably toward destruction.
The living God offers something radically different. Instead of requiring endless religious performance, He did everything necessary for our salvation through Christ's sacrifice. He leaves us only to believe. And when we turn to Him, He doesn't merely save us from hell – He transforms us completely, giving us a new mind, heart, and purpose.
Ready to turn from empty worship to the One who gives abundant life? Respond to His call today. Your journey from spiritual paralysis to leaping with new life begins with a simple act of faith – turning from vanities to the living God who is reaching for you right now.
NEW BOOK! I'm pleased to say that we have completed a new book that has been years in the making. The Ten Shirot: Songs of Redemption looks at ten songs that were sung through pivotal times in Scripture. It's an examination of the redemption of Jesus, of worship, and of Scripture in a way that we believe you probably haven't seen before. Check it out at https://a.co/d/0a4KIooL .

00:00:15.054 --> 00:00:18.597
Greetings, hello and welcome to the Redeeming Love Bible Broadcast.
00:00:18.597 --> 00:00:24.272
My name is Phil Duddy, evangelist with Grace Baptist Tabernacle of King, north Carolina.
00:00:24.272 --> 00:00:26.681
Glad to have you with me on the program today.
00:00:26.681 --> 00:00:28.666
Glad you're here, as always.
00:00:28.666 --> 00:00:33.243
Please do reach out to us at redeemingthelove at icloudcom.
00:00:33.243 --> 00:00:36.554
Come with me to Acts, chapter 14.
00:00:36.673 --> 00:00:45.993
I'm going to read a little bit of a longer account in the scripture today, and that's going to be found in Acts, chapter 14, and we will be starting in verse 8.
00:00:45.993 --> 00:00:50.692
So Acts, chapter 14, starting in verse 8, this is what the Word of God says.
00:00:50.692 --> 00:01:01.243
And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked.
00:01:01.243 --> 00:01:13.552
The same heard Paul speak who, steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice Stand upright on thy feet.
00:01:13.552 --> 00:01:16.328
And he leaped and walked.
00:01:16.328 --> 00:01:27.481
And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices saying in the speech of the Laconia the gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
00:01:27.481 --> 00:01:33.980
And they called Barnabas Jupiter and Paul Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
00:01:33.980 --> 00:01:54.248
Then the priests of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and would have done sacrifice with the people which, when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of they, rent their clothes and ran in among the people, crying out and saying Sirs, why do ye these things?
00:01:54.248 --> 00:02:13.413
We also are men of like passions with you and preach unto you that you should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven and earth and the sea and all things that are therein, who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
00:02:13.413 --> 00:02:27.515
Nevertheless, he left not himself without witness, in that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons filling our hearts with food and gladness.
00:02:29.241 --> 00:02:52.252
Now I want to draw your attention to how God identifies himself in this account, because this isn't strictly something that was written down by a man named Luke thousands of years ago, but this was something that was written by inspiration from the Holy Spirit.
00:02:52.252 --> 00:03:04.807
This is something that God directly gave because he wants you and I to have it, and he used a man named Luke to write this account down.
00:03:04.807 --> 00:03:39.153
And the reality is that every single word in the scripture, every single word, no matter what book you look at in the Bible, whether you're looking at Acts like we are today, or whether you go all the way back to Genesis, or whether you go all the way forward to Revelation, or whether you're in the prophets or in the histories or in the gospels, wherever you are in the Bible, every single word is exactly what God wants you to hear.
00:03:39.153 --> 00:03:41.479
Every single word is exactly what God wants you to have.
00:03:41.479 --> 00:03:43.669
God didn't give us any less and God didn't give us any more than he wants you to have.
00:03:43.669 --> 00:03:46.983
God didn't give us any less and God didn't give us any more than he wants us to have.
00:03:47.484 --> 00:03:52.454
And in this account, he identifies himself as the living God.
00:03:52.454 --> 00:04:01.348
And not only in this account, but you can see this in the Old Testament.
00:04:01.348 --> 00:04:05.812
God identifies himself as alive.
00:04:05.812 --> 00:04:19.033
He's the living God and he's different from you know, in this situation, he's different from Zeus and he's different.
00:04:19.033 --> 00:04:23.487
You know how does the scripture say here?
00:04:23.487 --> 00:04:26.093
He's different from Jupiter.
00:04:26.093 --> 00:04:29.309
I'm sorry, I got my Greek and my Roman mixed up.
00:04:29.309 --> 00:04:33.670
He's different from Jupiter and he's different from Mercurius.
00:04:36.139 --> 00:04:44.733
Those were entities that were worshipped as gods, even though they're not alive, even though they're not really gods.
00:04:44.733 --> 00:04:48.803
People worship them as if they were alive.
00:04:48.803 --> 00:04:55.134
People worship them as if they were gods, but they're not really gods.
00:04:55.134 --> 00:04:58.863
And so, through Paul and Barnabas.
00:04:58.863 --> 00:05:06.071
Here God identifies himself as living, he identifies himself as alive.
00:05:06.071 --> 00:05:13.663
He's different from Jupiter and he's different from Mercury.
00:05:13.663 --> 00:05:29.615
He's different from any sort of old, you know, ancient idol like that, and he's different from any sort of modern day idol that is worshipped as though it is God.
00:05:29.615 --> 00:05:36.851
He's different because he's the living God and he's the only God who is real.
00:05:36.851 --> 00:05:38.401
He's the only God who is true.
00:05:38.401 --> 00:05:40.884
He's the only God who is truly alive.
00:05:41.605 --> 00:05:43.666
Jesus, hallelujah and amen.
00:05:43.666 --> 00:05:50.875
John chapter 10, jesus says that he gives eternal life.
00:05:50.875 --> 00:05:55.425
John, chapter 11, jesus identifies himself.
00:05:55.425 --> 00:06:00.711
He says I am the resurrection and the life.
00:06:00.711 --> 00:06:07.846
Not only is God alive in himself, but he gives life, he gives an eternal life.
00:06:07.846 --> 00:06:11.829
He is the resurrection and the life.
00:06:11.829 --> 00:06:19.170
He is alive and he gives life, and he's different from any other thing that claims to be God.
00:06:19.170 --> 00:06:27.528
Jesus, the Son of God, fully God and fully man.
00:06:27.528 --> 00:06:31.115
He stepped down from glory to come to us.
00:06:31.115 --> 00:06:43.069
He doesn't stay up at a distance and say okay, all of you down there, way over there, worship me while I am going to stay up here at a distance.
00:06:43.069 --> 00:06:47.300
He did not do that in the Old Testament, he did not do that in the New Testament.
00:06:47.300 --> 00:06:50.891
He has never been that type of God.
00:06:50.891 --> 00:06:58.271
That type of God is a demonic invention.
00:06:58.271 --> 00:07:06.613
That type of God is something that people come up with under the influence of the demonic.
00:07:07.721 --> 00:07:11.000
Because the real living God interacts with people.
00:07:11.000 --> 00:07:22.531
The real living God I mean you go back as far as the book of Genesis the real living God personally interacted with Adam.
00:07:22.531 --> 00:07:26.613
The real living God personally interacted with Adam.
00:07:26.613 --> 00:07:27.798
The real living God personally interacted with Eve.
00:07:27.798 --> 00:07:35.891
The real living God personally interacted with even with Cain, even with Abel.
00:07:35.891 --> 00:07:39.442
The real living God interacted with Enoch.
00:07:39.442 --> 00:07:42.850
The real living God interacted with Noah.
00:07:42.850 --> 00:07:46.838
The real living God interacted with Abram.
00:07:46.838 --> 00:07:51.127
The real living God interacted with Isaac and Jacob.
00:07:51.127 --> 00:07:55.357
The real living God interacted with Moses.
00:07:55.357 --> 00:07:59.182
The real living God, he interacts with people.
00:07:59.182 --> 00:08:02.507
He interacted with the entire nation of Israel.
00:08:02.507 --> 00:08:08.716
He gave a word to Moses to give to the people.
00:08:08.716 --> 00:08:19.072
He did not stay distant in the Old Testament and he certainly didn't stay distant in the New Testament.
00:08:21.661 --> 00:08:23.007
God himself came.
00:08:23.007 --> 00:08:29.773
Oh, and generations before Jesus was born, there had been men like I just mentioned.
00:08:29.773 --> 00:08:38.081
There had been also prophets that God raised up at different times in history to speak to the people.
00:08:38.081 --> 00:08:40.865
There was an entire law that God gave.
00:08:40.865 --> 00:08:51.971
That was a framework that described who he is to the nation of Israel, so that the nation of Israel might describe who he is to the nations.
00:08:51.971 --> 00:08:57.331
So, god, my friend, I hope you're getting a sense of this.
00:08:57.331 --> 00:09:02.750
God interacts because God is alive.
00:09:02.750 --> 00:09:06.686
He interacts because he's alive.
00:09:06.686 --> 00:09:09.412
He's not someone who's far away.
00:09:09.412 --> 00:09:12.750
He's not someone who's far off, even if you don't believe him.
00:09:12.750 --> 00:09:15.198
Today, god is interacting with you.
00:09:15.198 --> 00:09:19.226
Today, god is interacting with you through this message.
00:09:19.226 --> 00:09:27.291
He's drawing you to himself Because, my friend, jesus is different from anything and anybody else.
00:09:27.879 --> 00:09:34.413
Jesus personally came, the Lord personally came to us and he bore witness to the truth.
00:09:34.413 --> 00:09:41.067
He did good, he spoke with people, he interacted with people.
00:09:41.067 --> 00:09:45.212
He wept and he cried and he was hungry.
00:09:45.212 --> 00:09:47.861
There were instances where he was angry.
00:09:47.861 --> 00:09:50.330
There were times when he was singing.
00:09:50.330 --> 00:09:52.356
There was times when he was laughing.
00:09:52.356 --> 00:09:54.663
There was times when he was rejoicing.
00:09:54.663 --> 00:09:57.850
There were times, you know, where he healed people.
00:09:57.850 --> 00:10:00.061
There were times where he preached.
00:10:00.061 --> 00:10:11.166
There were times when he preached to great crowds and great multitudes, and then we have accounts of just times where he was with just a small group of people or even with one other person.
00:10:11.166 --> 00:10:46.923
We have times, we have all these things that Jesus did, these very, very, very relational things that Jesus did and, oh, my friend, he laid down his life, he shed his blood, he finished the work of atoning for your sin and he gave you access to God by a new and a living way.
00:10:46.923 --> 00:10:59.602
He made salvation, eternal life, relationship with God possible, all by grace and through faith, and not of works, lest any man should boast.
00:10:59.602 --> 00:11:06.517
You see, god did everything, and what does he leave you to do?
00:11:06.517 --> 00:11:08.575
Believe on him.
00:11:08.575 --> 00:11:11.356
What does he leave you to do?
00:11:11.356 --> 00:11:14.477
Respond in faith.
00:11:14.477 --> 00:11:17.576
What does he leave you to do?
00:11:17.576 --> 00:11:18.899
Trust him.
00:11:18.899 --> 00:11:25.043
That's what God literally did everything.
00:11:26.931 --> 00:11:31.221
This is another way that God is different from so many others that are worshipped.
00:11:31.221 --> 00:11:38.222
He doesn't require you to go through all of these religious rites.
00:11:38.222 --> 00:11:41.419
He doesn't require you to give all this money.
00:11:41.419 --> 00:11:44.740
He doesn't require you to give all this time.
00:11:44.740 --> 00:11:45.774
What does he do?
00:11:45.774 --> 00:11:49.196
He comes to you by the foolishness of preaching.
00:11:49.196 --> 00:11:50.919
It says in the Word of God.
00:11:51.260 --> 00:11:58.019
By the foolishness of preaching, it pleases God to save those who would believe, and so God raises up people.
00:11:58.019 --> 00:12:10.139
He raises up men like me who will preach Jesus to other people, and through that, god starts drawing you.
00:12:10.139 --> 00:12:12.283
Through that, god starts interacting with you.
00:12:12.283 --> 00:12:29.899
Through that, jesus starts drawing you to himself so that you might believe him, so that you might take that measure of faith which God gave you, that ability that you have to believe on things, and you might exercise that belief.
00:12:29.899 --> 00:12:52.235
You might place that belief, you might place that trust squarely on Jesus and on nobody else, because he's the living God and he made you, because he's the living God and he made you, he formed you and he made you to be a living soul.
00:12:52.235 --> 00:13:02.662
You see, you have some sort of a relationship with God, even if you don't believe him, you have some sort of relationship with him.
00:13:04.049 --> 00:13:12.576
You see, unbelief, just because you may not believe in God today, unbelief doesn't make God irrelevant.
00:13:12.576 --> 00:13:16.705
Unbelief doesn't cause God to cease to exist.
00:13:16.705 --> 00:13:33.072
Unbelief doesn't change the reality that God formed you, god made you, god made you to be a living soul and that God loves you, this God who is alive.
00:13:33.072 --> 00:13:36.639
You see, he also describes himself as love.
00:13:36.639 --> 00:13:39.485
He is love.
00:13:39.485 --> 00:13:49.432
And so, because he's love, he shows his love, he displays his love, he shows who he is and he is love.
00:13:49.432 --> 00:13:56.674
And he loves you, even if you don't love him, he loves you, even if you don't believe on him.
00:13:56.674 --> 00:13:58.080
He loves you.
00:13:58.080 --> 00:14:04.693
You were made by him, you are loved by him, even if you don't believe on him.
00:14:04.693 --> 00:14:09.438
You were made by him, you are loved by him, even if you don't believe on him, and he's the type of God who is going to go to people.
00:14:09.860 --> 00:14:15.525
Jesus would say this that he seeks and he saves that which was lost.
00:14:15.525 --> 00:14:33.621
And so if you're separate from God today, in the eyes of God you're lost.
00:14:33.621 --> 00:14:40.429
And so God is coming after you, not to destroy you, not to you know, just rub your face in how evil you know.
00:14:40.429 --> 00:14:41.510
Not in any sort of demeaning, bad, threatening way.
00:14:41.510 --> 00:15:08.947
But God is coming to you so that you might be saved, so that you might be born again, so that you might be with him, because he made you, he knows you, he loves you with a love that is passionate, and he wants you not to be out there in your sin.
00:15:08.947 --> 00:15:15.003
He wants you not to be out there in death.
00:15:15.003 --> 00:15:16.250
He wants you not to be out there in destruction.
00:15:16.250 --> 00:15:28.190
You see, god loves you and he knows better than anybody else that the wages of sin is death, and he knows better than anybody else that the wages of sin is death.
00:15:28.190 --> 00:15:34.441
He knows that if you continue on in a life apart from him, if you continue on in a life that's separate from him.
00:15:36.250 --> 00:15:43.604
Invariably your life is going to be found and revolve around and based on sin.
00:15:43.604 --> 00:15:48.339
You know God is over here and you're over there.
00:15:48.339 --> 00:15:54.402
God, you know, values the truth.
00:15:54.402 --> 00:15:59.739
God is the truth, yet you value something that's not the truth.
00:15:59.739 --> 00:16:17.460
God is holy in his nature and yet you, being separate from God, you are unholy in your nature, you're a stranger to holiness, and you live a life, and we all do.
00:16:17.460 --> 00:16:25.893
We live our life before being born again, before God saves us, before we trust God.
00:16:27.336 --> 00:16:29.201
You know I was that way.
00:16:29.201 --> 00:16:32.856
You know my entire life was wrapped up in lust.
00:16:32.856 --> 00:16:37.650
It was all lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, the pride of life.
00:16:37.650 --> 00:16:47.630
It was all wrapped up in sin and it all revolved around sin and it was all based on sin and it was bearing out what sin bears out.
00:16:47.630 --> 00:16:50.576
It was having the consequences that sin has.
00:16:50.576 --> 00:17:01.547
It was death, it was anger, it was frustration, it was despair, it was hollowness, it was misery, it was sorrow.
00:17:01.547 --> 00:17:02.589
That's what life was.
00:17:02.589 --> 00:17:16.266
It was sorrow, that's what life was Brief, little flashes of pleasure, but mostly torment, mostly misery, mostly emptiness, mostly isolation and loneliness and sorrow.
00:17:16.266 --> 00:17:22.450
That's what it was.
00:17:29.675 --> 00:17:32.930
And I know from the Word of God that that's basically what it's like in your life.
00:17:32.930 --> 00:17:39.013
You might not have the same details as I did, but it's basically the same way.
00:17:39.013 --> 00:17:50.311
There's lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life, and that's what you pursue, that's what you go after, that's what your life revolves around.
00:17:50.311 --> 00:17:56.544
In some way, shape or form, the expressions of it are individual, but the base of it, the core of it, the foundation of it, is sin.
00:17:56.544 --> 00:18:04.201
And God right now is bridging that gap.
00:18:04.201 --> 00:18:07.318
He says I know you're separate from me.
00:18:07.318 --> 00:18:12.701
I know that sin is all you know.
00:18:12.701 --> 00:18:17.000
All you know is lust.
00:18:17.000 --> 00:18:19.598
All you know is fear.
00:18:19.598 --> 00:18:24.481
All you know is isolation and loneliness.
00:18:24.481 --> 00:18:27.628
All you know is isolation and loneliness.
00:18:27.628 --> 00:18:35.029
All you know is a brief little thing that gives you some flash of pleasure.
00:18:40.621 --> 00:18:46.551
But then, when that moment's over, it's just sort of back to the grind and it's back to the regular way that things are.
00:18:46.551 --> 00:18:52.417
And God knows that that's going to end in your destruction.
00:18:52.417 --> 00:18:55.381
That's going to end in your death.
00:18:55.381 --> 00:19:01.007
That's going to end in an eternal alienation from him.
00:19:01.007 --> 00:19:07.461
That's going to end in fire.
00:19:07.461 --> 00:19:10.270
That's going to end if you continue to be separate from him.
00:19:10.270 --> 00:19:13.018
There's going to be a physical death.
00:19:13.018 --> 00:19:14.622
There's going to be physical destruction.
00:19:14.622 --> 00:19:34.054
There's going to be physical destruction in you and in other people around you, but eternally, my friend, your sin is going to be put out of this world, and it's going to be put out of this world by fire in a very real place called hell.
00:19:34.054 --> 00:19:49.505
Or, my friend, and this is the gospel, this is the good news Jesus, jesus.
00:19:49.505 --> 00:20:22.638
Jesus became your sin and he shed his blood, and so, if you turn to God this moment and trust in Jesus, you turn to God this moment and put your faith in Jesus, your sin is put out, your sin is forgiven, your sin is covered, your sin is forgotten and, my friend, you receive eternal life.
00:20:22.638 --> 00:20:32.096
You see, if you go back to Acts, chapter 14, for just a moment, let's see where is it here.
00:20:32.096 --> 00:20:34.955
Let's start at verse 15.
00:20:36.750 --> 00:20:38.657
Sirs, why do ye these things?
00:20:38.657 --> 00:20:47.057
Why do you worship things that aren't God's as though they are God?
00:20:47.057 --> 00:20:55.726
Why do you worship these vanities, these hollow, empty things?
00:20:55.726 --> 00:21:03.375
Why do you worship as though it is God?
00:21:03.375 --> 00:21:07.483
You might not think of it this way, but why do you worship the alcohol as though it's God?
00:21:07.483 --> 00:21:15.031
Why do you worship the drug as though it's God?
00:21:15.031 --> 00:21:19.256
Why do you worship sex as though it's God, why do you worship entertainment as though it's God?
00:21:19.256 --> 00:21:21.459
Why do you worship these things as though they are gods?
00:21:21.459 --> 00:21:28.185
And you might say well, how do I do that?
00:21:28.185 --> 00:21:36.084
Well, you give it your passion, you give it your time, you give it your money, you give it your attention.
00:21:36.084 --> 00:21:47.201
It controls your life, it has a place of authority in your life, it affects you in you know, moment by moment by moment by moment, and you follow it.
00:21:47.201 --> 00:21:51.532
You know, I have one of these.
00:21:53.195 --> 00:21:57.403
My more controversial opinions is that every bar is a house of worship.
00:21:57.403 --> 00:22:06.443
It's just worshiping something else instead of the living God.
00:22:06.443 --> 00:22:13.510
It controls your life, my friend.
00:22:13.510 --> 00:22:24.999
You know, and in a way it's a quote-unquote God that's going to lead to your destruction.
00:22:24.999 --> 00:22:32.553
But I'll tell you the truth the living God leads to life because he gives life.
00:22:34.967 --> 00:23:02.871
And so, paul and Barnabas, way back in Lystra, we preach to you that you should turn from these vanities unto the living God, turn from your idol and turn to the living God, which made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all things that are therein, who in times past, suffered all nations to walk in their ways.
00:23:02.871 --> 00:23:09.508
But now, my friend, jesus, jesus, jesus, hallelujah and amen.
00:23:09.508 --> 00:23:21.744
Jesus has died on the cross for you and Jesus is risen again and Jesus is alive today and Jesus is calling you to him.
00:23:21.744 --> 00:23:27.529
He left himself not.
00:23:27.529 --> 00:23:32.654
He left not himself without witness and that he did good.
00:23:32.654 --> 00:23:35.297
And, oh, my friend, jesus did good.
00:23:35.297 --> 00:23:38.279
And Jesus does good today.
00:23:38.279 --> 00:23:59.794
In a world that seems to value lies, in a world that seems to value deception, in a world that seems to value pride, in a world that seems to value all of these things, you know, instead of God, jesus still does good today.
00:23:59.794 --> 00:24:04.577
He does good and he's speaking to you.
00:24:04.577 --> 00:24:07.540
He's speaking in your conscience, he's speaking in your heart.
00:24:07.540 --> 00:24:18.751
He says I know you, I love you.
00:24:18.751 --> 00:24:21.203
I know you're separate from me now, but you don't have to continue in that.
00:24:21.203 --> 00:24:30.945
Turn to me today, turn to me now.
00:24:30.945 --> 00:24:39.220
He says, nevertheless, he left not himself without witness in that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons filling our hearts with food and gladness.
00:24:39.220 --> 00:24:42.334
My friend, god has done good to you in your life.
00:24:42.334 --> 00:24:49.193
He's done good already and he's looking to do more good now.
00:24:49.193 --> 00:24:53.773
Respond to him today, as he speaks to you today.
00:24:53.773 --> 00:25:02.573
You're separate from him, yet he is drawing near to you and he draws you to himself, even this very moment.
00:25:04.496 --> 00:25:05.397
Oh, you've lived a life.
00:25:05.397 --> 00:25:09.808
You know, at the top of this account there's a man.
00:25:09.808 --> 00:25:13.473
He was a cripple from his mother's womb who never had walked.
00:25:13.473 --> 00:25:18.441
And, my friend, let that be a type and form of you today.
00:25:18.441 --> 00:25:30.720
Let that be a type and form of you because you've never known anything but sin.
00:25:30.720 --> 00:25:35.912
You've never known anything but separateness from God.
00:25:35.912 --> 00:25:41.019
You've never known anything but walking in your own ways.
00:25:41.019 --> 00:25:47.498
You've never known anything but just following your lust.
00:25:47.498 --> 00:26:00.588
You've never known anything but following somebody or something that isn't really God, somebody or something that isn't really God.
00:26:00.588 --> 00:26:11.076
You've never known anything other than just trying to get by in this world, just trying to live, just trying to survive, just trying to scratch out a few moments of pleasure here and there.
00:26:11.076 --> 00:26:16.336
Whatever that looks like in your life right now.
00:26:16.336 --> 00:26:20.402
You know whatever that looks like in your life right now.
00:26:23.525 --> 00:26:33.977
You've never known anything but maybe an awareness that there is a God, but God being far off and God being far away and you just kind of being on your own, and there's a real sense of isolation there.
00:26:33.977 --> 00:26:36.298
There's a real sense of fear there.
00:26:36.298 --> 00:26:38.020
There's a real sense of stress there.
00:26:38.020 --> 00:26:39.182
There's a real sense of fear.
00:26:39.182 --> 00:27:03.076
There there's a real sense of stress there, there's a real sense of anxiety there, and God is drawing close to you now and saying I know all of that, I know you, I love you and I don't want you to be separate from me for one more minute Because, my friends, god gives you salvation and God does save you from hell.
00:27:04.096 --> 00:27:09.346
God does save you from his wrath, but that's only the beginning.
00:27:09.346 --> 00:27:13.789
He gives you eternal life, he gives you a new mind, he gives you a new heart, he gives you new life.
00:27:13.789 --> 00:27:20.715
He gives you a new mind, he gives you a new heart, he gives you new life, he gives you an abundant life.
00:27:20.715 --> 00:27:23.638
He gives joy and hope and peace.
00:27:23.638 --> 00:27:27.221
He gives wisdom and fruitfulness.
00:27:27.221 --> 00:27:36.484
He gives and gives and gives and gives and gives and gives.
00:27:36.484 --> 00:27:42.086
And, my friend, will you believe him today?
00:27:42.086 --> 00:27:47.855
Will you turn from these vanities unto the living God and believe him this very moment?
00:27:47.855 --> 00:27:50.380
Call upon him today.
00:27:50.380 --> 00:28:00.576
Ask him to save you, ask him to be born again, ask him to blot out your sins, ask him to wash them away, ask him to make you new.
00:28:00.576 --> 00:28:07.252
Ask him, ask him, ask him, trust him.
00:28:07.252 --> 00:28:19.365
Trust him and yield yourself to him as Lord, as Savior, as mighty God, as King of Kings, as Lord of Lords and as the lover of your soul.
00:28:19.365 --> 00:28:20.468
Hallelujah and amen.
00:28:21.148 --> 00:28:23.895
