In this episode of prjct.POD, we sit down with the builder behind BSG Speed & Fab — a self-taught fabricator and welder who turned a passion for cars into real, hands-on builds.
Starting with a 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX at just 16 years old, he learned everything the hard way: building parts, breaking engines, and figuring it out in the garage. That foundation led to full custom fabrication work, including an ambitious twin turbo 454 build targeting serious horsepower.
We break down what it actually takes to get into car building, including:
– How to choose your first project car
– Bolt-on mods vs custom fabrication
– Learning welding from scratch
– The reality of DIY builds and mistakes
– Building power the right way (and avoiding costly failures)
– Balancing car builds with content creation
This conversation goes beyond surface-level car talk — it’s about process, problem-solving, and building skills over time.
Whether you’re just getting into cars or already deep into your own build, this episode offers practical insight into how real garage builds come together.
