What does it mean when your very survival is an act of resistance? Tenzin Jigdal grew up hundreds of miles away from his parents at a boarding school in Dharamsala, shaped by the stories of his father, who had fought for Tibet's freedom as a guerrilla fighter. From a computer science student in India and later the UK, he evolved into a political voice in the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, making his father’s dream come through. In this episode, we explore the tension between global geopolitics, how his youth activism prepared Tenzin Jigdal for his work as a parliamentarian and if peaceful street protests are enough against a superpower like China.
