Speaker 1: Every time I hear Monster Mash, I'm like, this is not a banger. This is not a banger. And I know bangers. I know bangers. I used to DJ in the early two thousands. Ever been to Canada, Yeah, if you have in the early two thousands, that's probably me playing them bangers. And every single time I've ever heard Monster Mash, I'm like, nah, my guy, that's not a banger. It's a freaking nineteen fifties rock and roll song sung by a vampire. All three of those things suck, my guys.
00:00:46
Speaker 2: Good Good morning, SWIMMLD and welcome to the No Dunks podcast on the Athletic Network. It's Thursday, October thirty one, twenty twenty four. Happy Halloween. I'm usually Jay Skeets, but today Heichael Jordan, the dumbest Halloween costume you've ever seen. I'm here in the Classic Factory alongside one of my favorite players. This is a real honor. It's Steve Rash.
00:01:11
Speaker 3: Yes, it's I Steve Rash. I did some research, couldn't find the info as to whether or not Nash ever had a Rash, but hopefully he did.
00:01:21
Speaker 2: He probably did at some point Next to Steve Rash we have Dracula vin Hey, oh how long will the team there go? There you go and over yonder making this magic happen here on Halloween. I believe the character from Assassin's Creed.
00:01:42
Speaker 4: No, no, I'm Assassin's Creed.
00:01:44
Speaker 2: Can you take me higher?
00:01:47
Speaker 4: Assassin's Creed?
00:01:49
Speaker 2: Gotcha?
00:01:50
Speaker 4: And I was looking for a wig all over the place, tearing this places apart for a Scotts dad leg and I couldn't do it, but hopefully.
00:02:00
Speaker 2: Quickly these costumes were thrown together. So anyway, have you Halloween? Everyone? Look, if you are going out tonight with your kids and everybody, want everybody to stay safe. But you have an NBA themed Halloween costume tag us you know, share it on Twitter with us at No dunk Sinc. On all our social media channels. We love an NBA Halloween pun. He's gonna stay committed to the teeth for you.
00:02:30
Speaker 5: We're not going to the dentist. You gotta do the X rays. I'm always dragging, but literally can't.
00:02:46
Speaker 3: Definitely sounded like we're getting rays at the dental office.
00:02:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, alright. We had a bunch of NBA games on last night. We're gonna have some NBA trick or treat fun. A little bit later, we'll actually compare basically NBA players to Halloween candy, so stick around for that. But let's play a little what you got?
00:03:05
Speaker 5: What's you get?
00:03:10
Speaker 6: All? Right?
00:03:10
Speaker 2: First one here Lou Dort score twenty, Chet Holmgren shut down Wemby as the Thunder defeated the Spurs one of five ninety three to remain the only unbeaten team in.
00:03:20
Speaker 3: The Western Conference.
00:03:21
Speaker 2: Out East, though, the Calves improved to five and oh with the one thirty four to a one to ten win over the Lakers in a game that included Bronni's first NBA points. Cool moment there, but the win marks the first time the Caves have started five and oh since the sixteen seventeen season, when they had a guy named Lebron James on the roster. So our first what you got here? More impressive undefeated team early in the season? Here is it the Thunder or Calves?
00:03:45
Speaker 5: What you got?
00:03:45
Speaker 2: Steve Rash?
00:03:47
Speaker 3: What's also impressive is that you can read notes with sunlight.
00:03:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good note. I really had to crank the brightness so dra before we went live, goes okay, Michael Jordan, not bad? You also look like Bernie from.
00:04:03
Speaker 3: Definite Aundy gud, you're not doing a whistle. I thought that was a whistle coming when you're sucking that.
00:04:09
Speaker 2: No, No, I don't have a bad vibration.
00:04:13
Speaker 3: Anyway, I hyprated. I think it's the Cleveland Cavaliers because they kind of answered some questions that people were asking about them preseason. Are Evan Mobley and Jared Allen really going to work together? And in this game it was all Jared Allen to start because Evan Mobley got into foul trouble right quick, and Jared Allen was doing everything with his left hand to finishes along the baseline, finishes from ten feet, and then he was blocking ad a great recovery in a pick and roll situation, and then he met Ruey at the top at the summit. That was a beautiful one, and Mobley was kind of quiet until the fourth quarter. And that's what I like about it. Mobiley didn't just disappear like you may have seen in his previous seasons. It was awesome in the fourth quarter, eight of nine seventeen points in that one. Also, Donovan Mitchell kind of answered some questions he resigned this extension. They were great when it was just him without Mobley and Garland last season, and in this one he took it over. After the first possession there is a bad possession where everybody was touching the ball. Garland turned it over. He said, all right, it's my time. Three straight positions where he was awesome to drive, step back, three and the floor, hit all those shots. So you know he can take over whenever he wants. But as he signed that extension, and he showed when teams, when this team needs him, if it's time for Garland or if it's time for Mobile, it's time for Alan, he can do that too. And if he has to do that dribble, you know, the dribble up and over over, Austin reeves Austin, how we're doing punts here? Austin reached his reeve chise because he was reaching for the up and over the classic that yeah, it's not a good word.
00:05:40
Speaker 5: Yeah, Candy, you dressed this. Austin reaches perfect.
00:05:47
Speaker 3: He was reaching. Yeah, that is a great idea for somebody out there. Go steal some candy to night as Austin, you just like.
00:05:55
Speaker 2: The balance that Mitchell was fighting right now as when he needs to be a score and obviously as a playmaker and sending the other guy.
00:06:00
Speaker 3: This team is doing great stuff and they look like this bounce team. They kind of look like the Pacers a little bit, where they passed all over the place. Even Dean Wade, who benefited probably from last year from playing all those minutes, was so good at just continuously moving the ball. Last night, three guys scoring twenty plus points and then Kars Lavert coming off the bench distributing to Alan or mobilere and hitting threes. They're deep. They're the first best team in offense right now.
00:06:22
Speaker 5: Yes it's early, but it's.
00:06:23
Speaker 3: Pretty damn good. And the third best team in defense. It seems stacked right now.
00:06:28
Speaker 2: You're going with the Calves as well? Or can you make the case for the Thunder as sort of the more impressive undefeated team.
00:06:32
Speaker 5: Look, I'm going with the Calves. Like task, they've got I think better wins on the season. They beat the Lakers at home. That seems like a good win to me. They also beat the Knicks in MSG, and then they also beat the Raptors, Pistons, and Wizards. You know, those are wins that you got to stack up. But they destroyed those teams okay See's best one was Denver on opening night. They beat the Bulls, Hawks, and Spurs additionally. But the CAFs have been super impressive. I can't believe how fast they're paying playing. You mentioned the Pacers. They are playing pretty fast right now. The paces up the eighth and pace after finishing thirtieth and twenty second in the last two years. You can just see the Kenny Atkinson influence saying we're getting into our shots earlier, we're getting the ball up the court, and we're trying to make some plays. Here they scored one hundred and thirty four points and took eight free throws. That's crazy to actually be able to do that. The Calves are also forcing a lot more turnovers this season twenty one for the Lakers last night. That allows the Calves to get out in transition get easier looks before the Lakers have a chance to set up their half court defense where they kind of thrive. Not a great defensive season yet for the Lakers, but we anticipate them being there. So I'm impressed with the Calves being able to score the way they are early in the season, considering they haven't changed literally anything except for the coach. They're missing their best outside wing shooter and Max Strus as well, so I would go with the Calves. But what the Thunder are doing is pretty impressive as well. They're first in defense, they look like the best defense in the league, only twenty fourth in offense. And you heard it on the broadcast last night, Mark Deagnahld doesn't think they're playing very well on offense, and they're not. Yeah, they're still finding their way. There's still another level I think for Shae to get to. I feel like we haven't talked about him having a huge game. It's mostly been the chat Holmgren discourse to start the season, and Chet has looked awesome. He dominated Wemby last night. Impressive stuff from him. So I think the Cavs right now have to get the nod for more impressive undefeated team. But the Thunder look great too.
00:08:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think you guys are right. What's amazing with the Thunders defense is right now, their defensive rating is ninety one point three. The Warriors are second at ninety nine point one, which is obviously a really good defense. But that's the gap right now between that lockdown defense from okay see and for Chet and that squad in really Carusoe a lot of times to keep Wemby the six points. I mean, it's sort of a strategy you're seeing here some teams implementing. When you have a guy like a smaller guy but obviously a stout, strong defender like Caruso, is that the strategy, like just get up under him. He's not going to back you down because he's still very very thin and light. You know, obviously could just shoot over them, but you know some he's maybe not most comfortable doing that. Like it was a great strategy worked perfectly, and Chet getting the best of Wemby. And we had quotes coming into that game last night that Wemby won't even say his name like Voldemort, Like it's crazy, he won't say he won't say his name. But you know, Holmgren gets the last, last, last, last last night, at.
00:09:17
Speaker 3: Least he was awesome. I fear that Homern's going to be that All star snub we all talk of because his numbers are gonna come down a little bit when Hartenstein comes back to I think they have another level of offense and another iteration of their offense when Hartenstein comes back, because they're gonna play that four or five dribbled handoffs up top, which is gonna be awesome to watch. Yeahther D is just great. This is one of those teams that's kind of like the Celtics in the East. Not everybody's going to talk about them from now until whether it's mid season or the postseason, really, but they're gonna be awesome no matter what.
00:09:47
Speaker 5: When I watched Chett and Webb, I see the two different ways you can go into an ice cream shop. Chet goes in. He knows what he's gonna order. He gets the peanut, butter and chocolate every single time. He knows who he is as a player, and he's just kind of like slowly adding he's gonna be the trailer big. He's gonna be a pick and pop guy. He's gonna play off guards, catch an attack. He's just getting better at what he's already good at. Wemby, he likes to try the new stuff. He comes in, he takes several samples. I don't know what I'm gonna get. Jerry Garcia maybe today he's figuring out what he can actually do on the court. Am I a pick and pop guy? Am I a roller? Am I? Kevin Durant. He tries to be all of them. Sometime eventually he'll figure out what he's the best at. But right now he just wants to try that ice cream flight.
00:10:27
Speaker 3: He'd be pretty uh printing ice creams, Well, it would be.
00:10:30
Speaker 2: Pretty cool tonight. I mean you guys, I assume we'll take the kids trick or treating, Like, actually you came across a house that was giving an ice cream.
00:10:36
Speaker 5: Huh, i'd be nice. All yeah, I can't.
00:10:40
Speaker 2: Do it here in the South. It's gonna be warm enough tonight. Yeah, Like for reason Ben and Jerry's ones, that'd be cool. Somebody's must have done that. But let us know if you do. All right, next one here, let's talk about last night's you know, Wednesday nights sort of quote unquote MVP first Stars whatever you want to call them. Uh, Seaawkham, here are your nominee. Siakham scored the last of his twenty nine points on a pointer with six seconds left in overtime to give the Pacers the one thirty five, one thirty two victory over the previously unbeaten Celtics. Spicy p tied his single game career high with six threes. He also grabbed eleven boards, so great game from him in the win. Meanwhile, down in Miami Bodega, Cat shot the shit out of the ball to propel the Knicks past the heat one sixteen one oh seven. Towns was seventeen to twenty five from the field, four or five from deep, and he had twenty four of his forty four points in the first half to keep the score close for the Knicks, and then they obviously got the victory. So tk Drakie Levine, you go first here, what you got player of the night? Is it Siakam or Cat?
00:11:38
Speaker 5: That's a tough one, I think because Siakam was incredible in overtime, in particular for the Pacers there. I thought he made two of the game's three biggest buckets. You would add Jason Tatum sending it into overtime as well. Also clutch recovery of a jump ball by Pascal Siakam laid in this one. Love to see a guy just grab a jump ball when his teammate tips it on the other side of the court. Great stuff. But I'm going with Towns because when you see a game like he played last night, forty four points on seventeen of twenty five shooting. Those are the games that make you absolutely drool, like you got some fake fangs in your mouth. It's the perfect blend he had. I thought of perimeter touches and paint touches. He was hitting threes, he was getting busy on the offensive glass, he had the floater working. He caught an alley you but you don't see from Karl Anthony Towns all that often. The post moves were good, and he was doing most of this against bam Outebayo, one of the premiere interior defenders in the NBA. I just thought that was super impressive from Towns. We've talked about how the Knicks, despite the fact that they've been producing offensively a top five offense, it hasn't always looked smooth. That hasn't always looked easy for them. This was Towns just going beast mode. I was super impressed with the way he played last night.
00:12:49
Speaker 3: He's the most valuable player because it's the sexiest, because why he is the reason this game is the reason why they're considered a championship contender. What he just did, I guess baram Adebayo, of all people shooting however, he wanted whenever he wanted. That's sixty eight percent shooting on twenty five shots. That's fantastic stuff to get the forty five points in that one. But the Pacers one is it's a narrative for the entire team. Really, they lost games like this against Boston in the conference finals where they gave up that lead in the fourth quarter, they just kind of grumbled. It happened over and over and over again, and this one they did it. Now you can just say, hey, this Seltics had a bad night shooting the ball from three point line, sure, but Pascal Siakam to finish it, to grab those loose balls on jump ball situations, that's MVP stuff for that team. Now. I kind of want to get in Pascal Siakam's corner too, because you don't see him hit game winning type shots like that. True, it's not him and the career high he tied of sixty three pointers key as well. He's never been a air quotes three point shooter, but I think he is evolving in that, and you know, it's a better team performance. I think the Pacers over the Knicks because you got a namhard coming in for the excuse me, Matherin coming in for the injury Andrew Nempart and he was just so damn good. Nemhart left the game and he had thirty and eleven in Nemhartz place. Mathern did so performance for the team. I'm pacers, but you know one MVP sexy headlines, it's gotta be Cat.
00:14:15
Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean what you like to about a cat is obviously just the volume of shots he was getting up and even three pointers, because through the first three games he had only taken nine shots in the first game, eleven shots in the second game, eight shots in that third game that we talked about, like, man, he's got to get more touches, he's gotta get it up more. And then yeah, suddenly seventeen for twenty five four or five from deep. I mean, he's on actually fire from three point land this year. It's only four games. He didn't shoot a ton in the three games prior, but he's barely missed. He's only missed like a handful of threes, So like, keep it going there, Cat. But he was awesome against Bam the heat or the weirdest like two and two team to me right now feels like they haven't won a game for some reason, like the vibes are sort of off and there's like feels like they're really struggling, even though they have a couple of victories.
00:14:55
Speaker 5: They've got a starting lineup problem right now. They've started Hero, Rosier, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Yovich and Bam for all four of their games. Only the Spurs starters thus far have a worse net rating in the league, and it's basically because their defense can't stop anybody one hundred and twenty two points per one hundred possessions early in the season. For the Heat starting lineup, they're starting two tiny guys in Tyler Hero and Terry Rosier. Jovic competes defensively, but he's not a great defender yet. I don't think it seems like they're giving them a long leash because they want to see if Yovic is like really a fit with the starting lineup. But it hasn't been a good start for the Heat. They're like losing every first quarter. They didn't lose the first quarter in this one, but they're putting themselves usually at a deficit to start the game.
00:15:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought Imahakas would be guaranteed to start because of how hard he plays defensively. But yeah, they're trying this Yovich thing. They're also trying to shoot more threes, which is unheat Like, they're shooting five more threes than they did last season. Scholtzer was telling them too. They also are playing Hero and rosiero a lot, so they can shoot yeah, all day and they're frigging great yesterday shooting the Hero so good, thirty four points eight eight threes for that guy, Rozier four of eight from three. But yeah, they're not gonna stop anybody. It's not just those two. But Jovich isn't that guy. I mean, I think they do have to change up just the identity of that starting lineup, but I do think Hakkas has to start someday.
00:16:18
Speaker 2: Yeah. It's just weird to see like a mediocre heat defense because that is the one thing they usually are like always. It feels like, especially with Bam obviously as your sort of anchor, like, yeah, top five, it feels like every year under Spolstra in that squad, but sort of middle of the pack right now. Yeah, just weird. It's like their identity sort of lost a little bit, which is strange. All right, Final one, we had some surprising results last night. I'm gonna give you a number of options here, and I'm gonna be looking for the most surprising win. Because we had Tobias Harris returning to Philly to help the Pistons get their first win of the season over the banged up Sixers. We had Balal Kulubali scoring a career high twenty seven. He looked great again as the Wizard swept the home and home against the Hawks. With the one thirty three one victory for the Whiz, Dennis Shrewder thirty three points. Nets beat the turnover prone Grizzlies one nineteen one oh six. The Bulls, in a very weird game, held on to beat the Magic one o two ninety nine after both teams could barely score in the fourth quarter. Bulls came back from a lot though, but they get the victory, and then Afrety Simons rallied the Blazers to the one oh six one oh five win over the Clippers. That's five options. Cast what you got most surprising win Piston's, Wizards, Nets, Bulls or Blazers.
00:17:32
Speaker 3: First, I'm gonna say not the Pistons. I want to give a little praise to the Pistons. Pistons praise right here right now. They played five teams that made the playoffs last season, good teams, and they just couldn't close out. They played well, but they just couldn't close them out. Here is some evidence. Versus the Pacers, they were up eight in the fourth quarter. They lost. Versus Boston, they led in the fourth quarter. They lost versus Miami, they led going into the fourth quarter. They lost. The Vets in come through until last night. Now, against Philadelphia, you mentioned to Bias Harris he was important. They got him a very very good player. Him and Tim Hardaway had sixteen of the team's twenty fourth quarter points. Tobias Harris eighteen points against Philadelphia wasn't a monstrous night, but they were important. I mean, Kid had twenty two, Ivy had twenty three. They're just playing those guys more. Ivy especially. It's starting now and so that helps. Like Kate coming into this game, I read this quote he said, it's a long year. We've played really, really good teams. I think this is good for us. It's raised our level of play, that's right. I think it has. I think they will be better as they play crappier Eastern Conference teams especially, but this also helps them grow. The weird one to be was the Magic losing to the Bulls. What's up with that? How many threes they shot? Over and over and over and over. They shot forty six of eighty six shots all from three point lane. They've really changed what they're shooting. I don't know if this is mostly tell them just shoot threes. They're now six and three point attempts per game. Last year they were twenty fourth. That's not why they got KCP to go. You know, you one hundred freaking threes. Like, it's like, it's like, there'sho one hundred percent threes. I felt like watching that game either way, that was the weird one to me. That doesn't feel like magic basketball.
00:19:10
Speaker 2: They were looking good for a while. Yeah, then the Bulls stormed back and got the victory. It was wild, Like I'm not exaggerating. Didn't they go like seven minutes or so both teams without hitting a field goal? Yeah, In the fourth quarter.
00:19:20
Speaker 5: The Bulls started oh for eleven, the Magic started oh for thirteen.
00:19:24
Speaker 3: Amazing.
00:19:25
Speaker 5: That was crazy. That was that was unbelievable. They literally started the fourth quarter. The Bulls broadcast did with the graphic that said who is Sisyphus and explained the Greek myth of Sisyphus pushing the boulder up the hill and it falls down every day. Because the Bulls haven't been over five hundred since November two, twenty twenty two. But I'm here to tell you the Bulls are back. Wow, there it is. I haven't said it for nearly two years, and I'll be honest, I wasn't sure it was gonna happen last night because, like Tass said, the Bulls were down twenty in the first half. This is the first time in franchise history that they've come back from twenty down in back to back games, because they did the same thing in their previous win. Basically, what happened was the Bulls caught fire in the third quarter eight for fourteen from three in the third, including Josh Giddy going three for three. You mentioned all of the crazy non scoring Adam Amin and Stacy King are just laughing on the broadcast. There were so many air balls in this. The Bulls got their first point with seven to forty nine left one for two of the free throw line. Of course, the Magic got their first point in the fourth quarter with five twenty four left the first basket period like a field goal. Four minutes and fifty seconds left in the fourth quarter. It was crazy. The Bulls kind of got lucky here. They got up by four, They got a stop, they got a rebound. They have the ball with forty five seconds left, up four. Turnover by Levine turns into a layup for Palo Boncaro. Bulls up two twenty seconds left. They got the slob Wizard inbounding. Can't get it in, call a time out, pull on our best play. We got the slob Wizard inbounding. Turnover, can't pass it to Patrick Williams. He has no hands. Magic ball down two with nineteen seconds left. Patrick Williams lock down Polo Boncaro, to be quite honest, didn't let him get a shot. Suggs misses a tough jumper over some pretty solid defense by Iowasumu. The Bulls get a rebound, Giddy gets followed, goes to the line one for two. It's a three point game, zero point one seconds left. Magic inbound the ball. Palo bon Caro banks in a three. Would a tie the game if it weren't for the Trent Tucker rule. You gotta have zero point three seconds left on the clock to be able to do a catch and shoot. That happened because the Knicks beat the Bulls on a Trent Tucker shot way back when Trent Tucker also became a Chicago Bulls circle. Big shout out to that guy. This was more so a magic meltdown. But the bull somehow won. They've got the Nets and Jazz up next. I don't want to get ahead of it.
00:21:53
Speaker 2: Don't get ahead of yourself, man. The nets are scrappy too.
00:21:56
Speaker 5: The nets are scrappy. I'm dreaming of five and two.
00:21:59
Speaker 4: Wow.
00:22:00
Speaker 2: Wow, cream geez, you might have home court advantage there with that right, great great case, great case that you guys made there for the Moles as a surprising one. I will give the Nets some love there going into Memphis and holding them to sixteen points in the fourth quarter. Like it's It's a little similar to what Bickerstaff is doing with the Pistons game to play harder even if the record doesn't, like really show a drastic improvement early on. That's the same thing going on with Jordy Fernanis and the Nets. The way they're playing, they look like a more competent basketball team. That's a quality win. That's their second win of the season. They're two and three, but to you know, really in that fourth quarter, and look, the Grizzlies helped them out because they were turning it over left and right. Shruder was a monster. He has these games. He turns into Phoebus Shruder.
00:22:40
Speaker 5: There.
00:22:41
Speaker 2: We're like, yeah, this guy's unbelievable. It happens every once in a while with him. So I'll give a little love to that one. But a lot of surprising results, and I'm sure we'll maybe touch on the the Wizards beating the Hawks again maybe later on you get to pick them because the stakes were high with that one year if you like costumes when it comes to us, any other takeaways though from from last night's games, some of the other results, I guess we had the Warriors beating the Pelicans again, and the Hornets beat the Raptors who are shorthanded. Anything else, yes, they are.
00:23:14
Speaker 3: Well. That Wizard's game shouldn't have been surprising because the Atlanta Hawks do this every single year. They're supposed to have better defenders, but they didn't have Dyson Daniels and DeAndre Hunter that was supposed to be the difference. This year's that they're gonna play harder defense. Now they didn't have those two guys. Yeah, and Clint Capella also starring. It can't go on forever, and Yako and Conglu has to take his place. The young guy has to take his place. It's going to happen at some point. Clin Capella is available. Whoever wants him can help him. He is on his last year of his contract, so this is it either way, if anybody wants him, if anybody wants him via trade, sure, buy out, sure released, Sure, I think that could happen as well. They might just let him go. But one hundred thirty three points of this Wizard's team lose two games in a row to the Washington Wizards doesn't happen very often. And that's why, as you hinted at are picking payoff, we all were gonna pick the Hawks.
00:24:10
Speaker 2: Joe was angry he had to take the Wizards.
00:24:12
Speaker 5: Yeah, it changed my two Last night I was thinking about with coming a minor Wizards guy. Oh wow, you were talking about the other day of hell, they are building identity. They saved him, They saved me in the pickle payoff, and I love Kulabali. He was. I was super impressed over the summer that he was playing in the fourth quarter of the gold medal game against the US. Not everybody that plays in the NBA from France was on the court in the fourth quarter. He was great in this first Hawks win and then a career high twenty seven last night. He looks pretty confident shooting the three. Who knows if he shoots forty percent for the entire year, not likely, but it looks like he's happier to take him right now. He was running the offense. He's a really good cutter, and then obviously he brings it defensively with the size and moving his feet. I saw that the Wizards had their youngest starting lineup in franchise history last night, because there's no Kuzma Valan choosing. Tunas came off the bench like Jordan Poole is still a young guy. The vision it's there. It's gonna end up an ugly season for the Wizards, certainly, but you can at least understand what they're building. Meanwhile, the Hawks, I said they should start four and one. They're two and three.
00:25:12
Speaker 2: Come on, yeah, yeah, that's the thing with that game last night and the pick of it, like it wasn't like it was the Thunder or this was the Hawks, then the Hawks, and they were missing a bunch of guys, and Daniel's like, as we've talked about, it is sort of important to at least, yeah, playing some bit of defense on that end. Otherwise, Yeah, I mean, this is weird. The Wizards win both these games, one where cool Bally did a great job of shutting down Trey Young in the first one here in Atlanta, and then that one in Washington the last night. I mean, Trey got his he cooked, but it didn't matter because they couldn't stop anybody. And that's always been the Hawks case here for the last couple of years, where they're always just a five hundred team or around there or worse. So the Wizards get it done for Dracula over there. Okay, we had some injury news. Raptors forward Scottie Barnes will miss at least three weeks. He suffered a right orbital fracture during the game earlier this week. He was forced to leave Monday's loss to the Nuggets after he was sort of elbowed or forearmed accidentally in the face by big old Jokic.
00:26:12
Speaker 3: There.
00:26:13
Speaker 2: The Raptors say Barnes will be reevaluated in three weeks tasks. I mean like it looked like a hurt and didn't return to the game. But it was like, oh, crap, the fracture. He's gonna miss a goodmount of time here.
00:26:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, so break your eyebone. The orbital fractured. It was surprising. It was also, you know, terrible to see that from the over backboard camera to be able to see it as they hand arm elbow hit Barnes's face. And it also sucks just for the Raptors period. I know they don't have a very good team overall, especially because Quickly also was hurt in Game one. So they gave up one hundred and thirty eight points to the Charlotte Hornets yesterday, so people might say they's bad. Anyways, I think they've been playing hard. They have been beaten every single team on the board. Every single game they do get after it. I don't know why their defense sucks, but also it's because a lot of their guys are hurt, and now Barnes is hurt just for a few weeks. I hope this doesn't just start the tank earlier, because I think they they dealt what's at early in the effort level. I think they were scrappy enough, they were learning. They've got enough depth to make every game entertaining enough for Raptors fans, but they're not gonna win, especially with Barnes out and quickly out. But Barrett is back quickly, should be back. I'm just trying to paint a rose colored picture here. Unfortunately it's unfort.
00:27:34
Speaker 2: But if anything, as a Raptors fan, I mean this is it's like weird to say, but it might be the best case scenario. You have a competitive team most nights at least the young guys are looking good, be it shed Mobile, Like there are moments Grady dick is having a really good sophomore season. Here's awesome, Like you're seeing development at least, But then they still lose all the games. So you then are gonna have a good chance to obviously hit one of these high prospects potentially in the draft and maybe fine the other guy or the main guy, maybe even to go alongside Scottie Barnes. I mean they're one and four already. Killer schedule coming up for the Raps too. They're home to the Lakers and Kings this weekend, and then they have a five game road trip Denver, Sacramento, both LA teams. Now you've got to travel between arenas and then you got Milwaukee. I mean that's solely crap, like very very difficult. That's the first in season tournament game against the Bucks there. But what I'm getting at here is this record's gonna be two and ten, you know something like that. They're gonna be one of the worst teams, especially with Barnes missing thismount of time. He's that important as hard as they play.
00:28:36
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, and now they're getting back the guy that they just signed a contract for thirty million per year for the next five years. And Emmanual Quickly should be back in one of these coming games. But he has played a quarter and a half this season, and so he's their second player. Yeah, he's their starting point guard. And so yeah, it just sucks. One comes in, one goes out. We've got to see what Barnes and Quickly are together. They are to see anyways, and.
00:29:02
Speaker 2: Then your team here tk An Mri showed bullsguard Lonzo Ball has between a Grade one and a grade two sprain in his right wrist, which will result in him being signedlined for at least ten days. They're saying he suffered this injury while he was like bracing for a fall, while he was going for a steel attempt. I think it was in Monday's win over the Grizzlies. So this poor guy man, Yeah.
00:29:23
Speaker 5: Exactly forty seven minutes, three games. He hadn't played for basically two years, and now he's back out with a wrist injury. And that's an unusual report, Like I've never seen that. He was saying, like, like you're saying, it's between a grade one and a Grade two, but they told me if I come back and heard it again, it could be a grade three.
00:29:40
Speaker 2: Yeah. I saw him say that too. Yeah, the Balls do have a.
00:29:42
Speaker 5: Lot of guards right now. So you know, it clarifies the rotation a little bit. Lonzo wasn't playing a ton of minutes. But hopefully for him, it's not the sort of thing that lingers. It's his shooting wrist, and you know, Lonzo's a decent shooter now, so hopefully he's able to just rehab and get back on the court. But you know, the Bulls have dudes who are going to be handling the ball and threes regardless.
00:30:01
Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well let's get into a little NBA trick or treat. Seeing as it is Halloween today.
00:30:08
Speaker 5: It's Halloween, the children will be stuffing their guts the whole of these candies. So we got a jack o lantern hillar here filled with five of the most delicious Halloween candies. I mean, how much do you want to actually get into the spirit of you guys saying trick or treat to me and then pulling whatever it is out, or do you want me to just choose it for you?
00:30:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe you just choose it for us. I think that'd be easier.
00:30:33
Speaker 5: Okay, Okay, in that case, we'll pull the first one out some people. That's the gold. That's the gold. That's just a simple Reese's peanut butter cup, a simple tu pack. Hey, you go to a grocery store, they just have like a Reese's section, so much orange looks beautiful. But I didn't know if I was gonna be able to find just the two pac because you'll see some straight up giants coming out of this thing in a second. But Reese's Peanut butter cup and he would argue, is the MVP of Halloween candy. You're delighted to see any form, whether it be a pumpkin, a full size or even when of those little ones wrapped in gold. I'll take it. I'll take it. So my question to you, we're one week into the NBA season. Basically most teams have played four or five games. Who's the one week m VP the NBA's Reese's Peanut butter Cup.
00:31:20
Speaker 3: It's Nikoli Jokic. Can I get that ree peanut butter cup? I love your house? Full sizes? Yeah, full size. This isn't a single cup. If you got that, yeah, baby, because I've already coptism uh almond Joys, some other ones already at my house. It ain't res peanut butter cup. So I'm very excited for this. Also, to talk about Nikolik, the guy leads the NBA in scoring, You don't hear about that from He's playing more than he did in his MVP seasons. They're pushing him, they're pushing. I've never seen Jokic in the fourth quarter be like, Okay, I gotta do this myself. He had to do it against the Clippers the other day and then that's what he's doing from three point line, shooting more threes than he ever has again, thirty nine minutes per game. It feels like this is prime Jokich. Feels like Michael Malone is saying, this is the time to play him a lot, and this is the time to be his best, and this is what they're doing. Unfortunately, it's the cause of their bench that hasn't come together yet that Jokic is like this and they're only two and two. So I can understand why you may go somebody else in another direction. But the numbers, the numbers are there. People didn't give him enough respect when he won the MVP. Now he's just taken it. He said, Ah, I didn't lead the league in scoring. You're going to disrespect that. Watch me now, thirty one plus points a game, he's awesome.
00:32:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, twelve boards, nine assists, over a steal, over a block. Good numbers from Yokic. But the team's two and two. If there were three and one, I'd be like, oh yeah, he's all, yeah, it's so funny.
00:32:47
Speaker 5: One more victory.
00:32:49
Speaker 2: I sort of want to do the insane thing we did once upon a time where we gave the entire Hawks team Player of the Month early time, when the Hawks went undefeated in a month. Yeah, sort of want to do that with the recess Peanut butter cups the MVP of one weekend for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Okay, Shirley, pick who to give it to? Jared Allen Mobley, Mitchell Garland's had his moments. Maybe just give it to Kenny Atkinson, Harrison Hurt's been great off the bench, show him some love too. I can't open this my glove. But but yeah, it's sort of funny because like Shay would be an obvious pick. I mean, like he has, like you said, he hasn't been amazing, hasn't been elite teams, undefeated, though he still got good numbers. The percentages are gonna tick up here, Anthony Davis, we would have been picking him, but now he's sort of fallen back there at the Lakers losing two in a row, a little bit chet holg grin. I guess it's in the mix too, which is wild to say.
00:33:41
Speaker 3: Eh.
00:33:42
Speaker 2: Yeah, and then I'm sort of like, you know, maybe Jason Tatum. I know he had one stinker, but otherwise he's been amazing on a team that's barely lost to in the Celtics. So I pick all these between them, but I think I'll go to the cass. I'll take the easy way out. Or how about this, how about the Dwayne Wade statue. That's a big story.
00:33:59
Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a big time.
00:34:00
Speaker 2: For like three days, man, we were talking about this statue. It felt like, so I guess I'll give it to the Cavs sort of entire team with a runner up to the Dwayne Wade statue.
00:34:09
Speaker 5: I love it. That's great, that's great. That's a great top three Dayne Wade statute. Who voted for that? Baron Jackson? All right, let me see what we got.
00:34:17
Speaker 3: I'll sit here. I think I'd rather have a Dwayne Wade statue for the MVP rather than the MVP Trophy. I mean, that's just a good Oh I came to him just doing that. Look at me, I'm awesome. Yeah, why not remake it?
00:34:29
Speaker 5: Okay, take it all right? But I probably should have said this one for last. It's a little leftovers. It's almond joy crap. The size of candy bars are you know? But nobody wants four Almond Joys. I don't want any man, I'm an Almenjoy hat. I've become one of those creeps who I get excited that it's always left over. Just seriously, just one nut on top of one single. I was shocked that they have a king size Almondjoy. People hate one.
00:34:56
Speaker 2: I've never seen that.
00:34:57
Speaker 5: I gotta be honest, I didn't know you could buy that. So this is the bar base it the almond Joy, which is why the question who is the NBA's Almond Joy the best veteran minimum signing so far this season? They're left over at the end of the year, but they could be delicious to someone.
00:35:12
Speaker 2: Chuck that over to me. Even though I don't like thesella, I'll go all them. Enjoy here first, the NBA version the best vet minimum signing.
00:35:18
Speaker 5: I have two.
00:35:20
Speaker 2: I'll just give you one because I don't want to take yours if it's the other one. Tyas Jones for the Suns has been really good. Like he's playing his part perfectly here. They needed a point guard, can't he comes in? He plays over thirty minutes per game. He never turns the ball over. That's his thing. It's like he has like a six to one assist to turnover ratio. Really good stuff. But he's hitting the three as well. He's always good for like a three or two a game, just to keep the offense humming a little bit when Duran or Booker Rebeal is not taking it. So I just like that, you're getting just steady point guard play man. This guy's just gonna be the next Mike Conley is just like just solid as a rock, but nothing flashy. Yeah, I like what I got from Tys Jones. They all reports were like he could have signed a bigger deal the other teams, but he liked the role in Phoenix who they needed a point guard. He was going to get play and so he goes there.
00:36:04
Speaker 5: So I'll go with him.
00:36:04
Speaker 3: Matt, I a shbe probably saying play for one year at this rate and we'll pay you pussibly and I'll give you a good mortgage rate, whatever you need. Whatever you need, man, I'm gonna stay with the Phoenix Suns, though I went with an Almond Joy like chocolate bar, you know, at the bottom of all your treats, and Almondjoy is just down there. Mason Plumley's the one who's down there for me. I love the guy we had this Daniel Tye versus Mason plumb Lee debate at the beginning of the season. The guy is not going to do much in stats. He's not. He played the Lakers the other day. He shot the ball zero times, but he had ten huge boards, including the one about a minute thirty left. He went and got a big offensive board that Devin Booker missed and then he passed it out to Royce O'Neil, who hit a bucket and giving them a three point lead. He's important to this team, you know, playing off that Tyas Jones thing. Last year, the rotation at this time, deep in the rotation was from the seventh to twelve spot was Chimezi Metu, Jordan Goodwin, Joshakogi, Drew you Banks, Kaita Bates, the Utah watching Abbie. This here little nobody stuck with the team. I mean, Kogi is there, but nobody they really want to play this year. It's Mason Plumby, Grayson Allen, Monte, Morris, Ryan Don all guys that are gonna play and they're excited to play. So it's a it's a different team, just like it's different once once you take a bite of this Allmond Joy, I mean I downplayed it at the beginning when I said, I had it the other day and in my kitchen. I love a good coching.
00:37:30
Speaker 5: You like coconut, Yeah, you like coconut.
00:37:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's all coconut. It's all saturated coconut. But even that, all men, you show the sweet inside. Yeah, that's a little it's a little much, especially a king size.
00:37:42
Speaker 5: Is this?
00:37:43
Speaker 3: Oh it's for individual Yeah, okay, Yahias.
00:37:46
Speaker 5: Jones, Trey Jones, Mason Plummet, and Miles Plumber.
00:37:49
Speaker 6: Oh.
00:37:49
Speaker 2: I was gonna say blood more because I want to give a shout ow to Seth Curry. I think has been a very good uh all brothers here. The man has started like three games for the Horn. He's like the veteran voice on that team. He's like, by far the oldest guy on the roster. I think he's thirty four years old, and then like, oh mechicch I think is maybe over thirty two, but everybody else is like basically young guys. I guess Big Dick, Nick Richards, he's like twenty seven. Anyway, point is Seth Curry comes in. He does what, you know, a lesser version of what his brother, superstar brother does, and that is hit threes, and he's hit fifty percent of his threes. I think he's been just very solid. I was sort of shocked that he was a that minimum guy. I had adult chef. But it basically makes that so I'll go with him as well.
00:38:32
Speaker 5: A couple of good answers. Our next candy in here? One of the greats. The Twigs bar. Oh my god, TwixT bar. You got the chocolate, you got the caramel, and you got a cookie in there. Again, couldn't find a two back I made.
00:38:45
Speaker 2: That's just a form back. How much money did you spend on chocolate bars?
00:38:48
Speaker 5: I bought five things and was sixteen bucks. We're at a cocoa bean shortage, right, It's like thirteen dollars for a bag of chocolate chips.
00:38:56
Speaker 3: Oh, we got problems.
00:38:57
Speaker 5: We got problems here, but you know we're getting more and more Twigs every day. What's the best duo in the league? The NBA Twigs the best duo. It would be better if there was only two in here, like the right, this is the Cavs for sure.
00:39:15
Speaker 2: That's Cavs Twigs.
00:39:16
Speaker 5: You go first.
00:39:17
Speaker 3: I'm taking Jason Tatum and Jylen Brown, the Jas, the Wys what do both of their first names have a y in there? Kind of surprising me. Sometimes they're just they're kind of overlooked a little bit. When I had this debate with my wife Danielle, I said, while she's painting my rash on my face, I asked her who the best duo in the NBA was, and she said, well, it's got to be Luca and Kyrie. So are the names. You know, there's a Hall of famers. Jalen and Jason are modern day NBA players, huge wings that do it on both ends of the floor, something that Kyrie and Luca don't do as much as Jalen and Jason. They played great defense, they can score thirty for you. They're perfect. They're the perfect modern day players, the perfect modern day heights as well. I mean it's like, you know, and you check the average heights of NBA players, they're average combined anyway, anyway, doesn't matter. I yeah, it's easy to say that because they won the championship, but they still are kind of overlooked.
00:40:15
Speaker 2: I agree, And everybody's just trying to like turn them against each other, right, I love that angle to that narrative. We're just like trying to like get them to fight each other somehow and like really blow up the chemistry, but they refuse to do that. I had them on my list obviously, but I think you can make a case right now one weekend when we can change for SGA and Chet Holmgren like we were talking about, like you were saying, like Homegren maybe won't make the All Star Games, Like I don't know. I think it's gonna be j dub as the one on the outside looking in. I think Sga a lock. And then the way Chet's played so far, he's feeling like it all started me. He passes the eye test. So I'll go those two guys, cuz you do like to have a big and a small, you know, if we're sticking with our roots, even though we don't even do that anymore when we pick all NBA teams. So give me those two. And maybe a couple days ago we probably would have been doing the Anthony Davison Lebron James still. But again, a couple losses changes everything.
00:41:05
Speaker 6: Well for woo gendle Veh, I want you to fake all right, let's go back into the Jack adventure. A big bag of beans coming up here. This is the only thing I get fine for candy corn.
00:41:21
Speaker 5: Okay, we got corns, we got pumpkins, and we got the brown corns. Uh, this is NBA candy corn. I want you to tell me who the league's most polarizing player is and which side are you on, because not everybody likes candy corn. But it's still around.
00:41:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's still there. It's a filler. It's just it's just a filler.
00:41:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, Jaxy, Yeah, I don't like it.
00:41:43
Speaker 2: The actual candy.
00:41:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, no one's taking that to be there.
00:41:46
Speaker 2: I guess there are some people are talking anyway, My my polarizing player, uh for this season, really for his whole career, for being honest. James Harden, James Harden.
00:41:57
Speaker 5: Let's let's let's give you the good.
00:41:58
Speaker 2: James Harden here. Twenty four points per game, eleven point three assists per game, guy setting up everybody, seven and a half rebounds. All right, Olk's amazing. But look a little bit more down the box score line. He's shooting a career low thirty five point five percent from the floor, twenty seven percent from deep. He can't stop turning the ball over. Yeah, he had eight turnovers in Game one, seven in Game two. And then I guess he's improved five and five in the last two games.
00:42:27
Speaker 5: Do the mat there? What's that?
00:42:29
Speaker 2: Twenty five turnovers in four game?
00:42:31
Speaker 3: Wow?
00:42:32
Speaker 2: So he has a lot of assays, but a lot of turnovers too. And look, I mean I get it. Like the way that the team currently constructed, it's like they sort of ask him to do all this. He was pumped to like show that he could do it. Still put up these big numbers and floor it with the triple doubles. But like, I don't know, he's polarizing. Honestly, from from quarter to quarter, James Harden is polarizing. So absolutely, I guess he's the candy corn to.
00:42:53
Speaker 3: Me, I'm gonna go with his former teammate on Okay, see Russell Westbrook in a light. You know, he was the guy, he was a former MVP, But now Russell Westbrook has taken on that bench roll extremely well. I don't know if James Harden is ever going to do that in his career, but Russell Westbrook did after winning MVP, who's traded five times more than any MVP has ever been traded after winning the MVP, and he adapted. I know it didn't go extremely well in Houston and Washington, but then he got to both LA's and he sat on the bench, and then he's doing it for Denver too, and what feels like his last time to ever ever win a championship as a guy who's part of a rotation at the very least. And the numbers aren't good. Don't look at the numbers at all, but he's a lot of MVPs can't just can't adapt and can't become bench players. At least Russell Westbrook has been able to do that. There aren't a lot of guys. Yes, he went mean to make that transition, there's the mellow talkie finally did. He didn't win MVP, but I mean, like top of the top. There aren't many guys who have to do that, And I wonder, yeah, will happen with Harden. But anyways, they're they're getting a little old now depends, I guess how you look at old, because Harden is thirty five. They're both thirty five. Westbrook's gonna be thirty six soon. But you know, sometimes guys can play till they're forty. Yeah, now in today's age, But he's got credit to.
00:44:19
Speaker 2: Those two guys. They played a ton and didn't miss a lot of games. Those two guys, right, yeah, Harden and Westbrook. Yeah, a lot of mileage on those legs.
00:44:26
Speaker 5: But I guess I think Harden would be more likely to play till forty.
00:44:28
Speaker 2: Sort of think so too, Yes, I guess, yeah, yeah, yeah those. I thought Westbrook would get some candy corn love here. I thought Julius Randall is a rising player. Obviously, it looks really great on some nights and then can like go, you know, one for nine from deep and you get a little frustrated when he's like a game one where he's just bullying over guys and picking up offensivelve. So I think he would maybe be on the list for people. But yeah, we went with the old classic MVPs in Harden and Russ teammates three times.
00:44:58
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, Like it's funny for you to say, Man, I wonder pardon will ever come off the bench. It was literally a question last year who's coming off the bench Harden and Westbrook. They chose Westbrook and then he was going final candy in here another Almon Joy what just kidding sour skittles? Oh Shane kill just Alexander's I saw Andrew Schlecht was doing a NBA Media Day stuff with the thunder Shay had a lot of sour candies in his top five, including sour Skittles, but as he mentioned, you can't have too many of them because these are like sour patch kids to the extreme. They really cake on the citric acid on the outside. So who is the NBA sour Skittles delicious? But only in small doses.
00:45:41
Speaker 3: I've got Scoot Henderson. I know he's coming off the bench for the Portland Trail Blazers because Chauncey Bills is trying to pick him up, trying to get him better. But when he gets out there, it's fun to watch him in little runs. Sometimes he tries these huge hook passes like he's LaMelo Ball out there. He tries these wild pass because he's trying to become this assist guy. He's trying to become a different player. Sometimes they're great, and he has been a better player this season than he was last year. In year number two here he has improved and I like how he's I didn't expect him to come off the bench, but he's doing it very well and so hopefully he's taken on the Chauncey Billips mentorship and becoming a great better player. I will never really get into these skittles.
00:46:26
Speaker 5: No, I like them.
00:46:27
Speaker 3: I'm not a skittles guy, period, So I just avoid these.
00:46:31
Speaker 2: Like do you like Starbus, Star Wars, Starbars?
00:46:34
Speaker 3: I like Starbucks and Starburs. Yeah, okay, yeah, depends on the color though. Okay, they're good in patches. Ye give me the pinks.
00:46:43
Speaker 2: You like the pigs?
00:46:43
Speaker 5: Okay?
00:46:44
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:46:45
Speaker 2: For my answer for this, I guess delicious and small doses like a sour skittle. Pick your Warriors player, because right now Kerr has eight guys in the rotation playing under twenty five minutes per game, you have nobody playing over thirty minutes per game, like Pojemski leads the team in minutes per game at twenty nine per Curry obviously injured now, but twenty six per Wiggins twenty five, Draymond twenty five, Buddy Hill twenty four, Kaminga twenty three, Trace Jackson Davis nineteen, Moody eighteen, the Anthony Melton when he did play, he is a little banged up two sixteen Looney fifteen, Kyle Anderson fifteen, Lindy Waters, the third fifteen and Gary Bait in the second eleven. I mean, a lot of those guys are playing. I know some of them are injured right now, but a lot of them have played all five games. And Curry is doing this insane thing where his roster, his rotation is like twelve guys and it's working. They're four and one because their defense is elite, and maybe that's a part of it. Maybe it's like, hey, man, you're gonna be in there for fifteen minutes, you better bust your ass on defense because there's no excuse. He ain't gonna be tired because I ain't. Nobody been playing over twenty five minutes.
00:47:54
Speaker 3: So they're like hot shifts.
00:47:56
Speaker 5: Yeah, they really are.
00:47:58
Speaker 2: And I like a lot of those guys, and most of them in small doses. Honestly, I think you can like ask too much from a Looney or like even a Moody and Kyle Anderson, but man, when they just have to play that fifteen to twenty minute mark, you're getting a really good player. So the mad scientist Steve Kerr, it's got it working right now.
00:48:14
Speaker 5: That's good. I think the ultimate guy for that is Lindy Water since the third he is the sour skittles. He the Warriors are now two and oh when Lindy Waters plays thirty or more minutes ago. So even if the rest of the season he never plays thirty more minutes. You won those two games, and Steve Kerr is like, I swear I'll start him. I'll do it.
00:48:31
Speaker 3: He did it last night.
00:48:32
Speaker 5: Scored three points, doesn't matter because they got the dubs. Lindy Waters, you're a delicious sour skittle. Thanks for playing guys.
00:48:38
Speaker 2: Oh that's great, Hey, you said Lindy Waters.
00:48:41
Speaker 5: Hold on, Oh, it's crazy. You're wearing two costumes.
00:48:48
Speaker 2: Man, I might start.
00:48:49
Speaker 3: We're in this, like, I've never seen something so excited about water. I don't hate that.
00:48:55
Speaker 2: I don't drink enough water. I don't drink enough water. But this might be the solution.
00:48:59
Speaker 3: Wow, we're doing the show.
00:49:00
Speaker 5: I got the pack on the back.
00:49:02
Speaker 2: I got the pack on the back hanging with drack. Turns out Waters.
00:49:07
Speaker 3: Like, look at that.
00:49:08
Speaker 2: I got the pack cab looking like Draymond Green.
00:49:13
Speaker 5: Look In twenty fourteen, NBA players did press conferences wearing backpacks. Remember that dressed like nerds and more backpacks all the time. Weird times.
00:49:23
Speaker 2: Hell, it was a weird one time backpack.
00:49:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, and glasses and stuff.
00:49:28
Speaker 2: All right, let's uh, let's get to tonight's pick them game task, go ahead. This is huge because we have three of us that are tied three and four. Ash he's in the clear, he's four and three, so he doesn't have to worry. But where are we going?

Speaker 3: It all comes down to this October thirty first three people tied at the bottom that three and four. As you said, Milwaukee going into Memphis into Memphis. Interesting, what is the stat line there? Milwaukee is a huge favorite. Memphis is on a back to back. They lost yesterday. They lost also Bane in that game, Marcus Smart was out in that game. They played Brooklyn. They got destroyed. Not being said Brooklyn did that. Brooklyn got destroyed the night before by Denver. They got beat by Denver in a back to back. You never know, in a second night of a back to beck you might be in a better flow. It could happen.
00:50:21
Speaker 5: True.
00:50:21
Speaker 3: Milwaukee is one three coming off that lost to Boston where Yannis was saying, we need to have a bet at their identity. We need something and will they play for Yanni's will they play for him? The three of us think so myself, Trey and esch are taking Milwaukee six and a half points. They have to win by seven or more, while you got skeets Memphis to lose by six or less.
00:50:44
Speaker 2: Where is keep it close? I do have a question. Let's say I pull off this upset and I win with the Grizzlies cover, you guys would still be tied. Are we running double pickleman or are we going to have like a like you guys will then pick on tomorrow's drop pot casts to see who we'll have to wear the pickle costume for a week off. Yeah, I pick and JD. We do have two costumes. I mean we do have two costumes. Yeah, we do.
00:51:10
Speaker 3: We have pickles. We do have I didn't realize.
00:51:13

00:51:14
Speaker 4: We have two large medium?
00:51:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, which would which would suit Trey and I?
00:51:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd be fine.
00:51:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's for a week. Yeah, it makes more sense one.
00:51:23
Speaker 2: Yeah suddenly becomes like it's my buddy.
00:51:25
Speaker 5: Yeah, you're the one guy.
00:51:30
Speaker 4: Yeah. I say if I say tiebreaker, if if it goes to two.
00:51:33
Speaker 2: And then it works out, because then we'll know Friday nights it will be Friday Night's game. They'll be picking opposite sides. Right, we'll do the whole week.
00:51:39
Speaker 3: And Monday to Friday.
00:51:40
Speaker 5: Okay, perfect, all right, I.
00:51:41
