Speaker 1: Wow, what is up? Welcome to another edition of the NFL Fantasy Live podcast, me Man and Marks Grand, alongside the Fantasy Hall of Famer Michael Fabiano, Stats carew Grand, bar Field. I gotta try something out, get so roll. We'll roll with that a couple of times and see what people think. So yeah, sorry, I'm a little bit distracted because I am up in our mock draft right now and never end. And I just got Aaron Rodgers at the tenth pick of the eighth round, so I'm pretty twelve team league. Alright. These industry marks are hilarious. Yea quarterbacks. We I mean we just wait and wait and wait. It's almost become it's it's almost like a joke. Now, it's like, yeah, it is industry marks for you know. It's it's sort of like a game of chicken, right, It's like the stair down and like who's going to be the first one to take a quarterback? Right? It really is, right totally? Uh So, Yeah, anyway, I got planned to talking about look at some late round wide receivers. I throw that in there because I've seen a lot of wide receivers kind of get hyped up on Twitter recently. Um, and so I was just curious to get some of your thoughts on how some of these guys are gonna go and uhet a social poll as always, and we're gonna do a little bit of something different, the fantasy draft of things, something fun to do every so often. Now that we're here in the middle of the summer and we're still about a month or so away from training camp starting, so we'll do a little, uh fake fantasy draft of our own with a whole bunch of stuff. But before we get too far into this, as always, go behind the glass talk to our faithful producer, Senior Edward L. Murphy esquire. Murphy's up. I love the topic. You have later do a little tease here on we're hinting at they we're doing a movie, uh draft of some sorts, and before the show we're talking about a lot of movies and stuff that we've we've seen lately. I don't know if it's just me, but this summer, I guess I'll start with Endgame in April. End of April might have might be the best stretch of summer movies at least or the ones that I'm interested in. Quite some time to do with Endgame, Spider Man once unt of time in Hollywood. I just saw a Toy Story. Four. We have The Lion King, the new version of that coming out, a couple of the blockbuster type stuff with like Godzilla, Men in Black, but a lot of movies that I'm quite interested in. You know, it's funny you talk about that, you know, scrolling Twitter and somebody, uh a tweet that I thought was really funny. Um, it just it says, you know, is this nine And it's a it's a shot of a movie, Marquis Movie Theater Marquis, and the movies are Toy Story, Men in Black, Godzilla, a Laddin, Child plus al Right, like here we are, you know, twenty five years later, and like all these movies are back, and I gotta see Child's Play because I love horror movies, so I have to go and say it. Uh, And it's Mark Hamill's the voice of Chu Luke Skywalker is Chuckie. Yeah, and apparently the Chucky dolls, Like, yeah, it looks different. I gotta see. You can tell me about this. A couple of months ago, when we first they first released Annabelle's Coming Out to like, I dig the horror movies. I gotta go see that too, so yeah, I'll check it out. So yeah, we will will do a fantasy draft of things. We'll we'll look at movies, so it'll be it'll be kind of fun. And you know, as always, we'll open it up for you guys on social media if you have some some category or some some picks that we didn't get, and you guys are free to jump in with us as well. And I means, I'm let's do some news news coming out of Detroit, and it was all over the Twitter verse last week. Matthew Stafford reportedly played last season with a broken back, now the severity of which were not quite sure. Obviously, he he was on the field pretty much all season long. The end result was not great for Stafford. That statistically was one of the worst seasons of his career. Fantasy wise, he was not anything that that anybody was clamoring for off the waiver wire on their roster. But the FABS, knowing that he played with a broken back and hopefully having the off season to get better, does this change maybe your opinion of Matthew Stafford this year? Nope, And I mean I gave him all kinds of credit. Playing the quarterback position with a broken back. It ain't easy, asked Tony Romo. I think Derek Carr did it as well. Um, but I mean Graham just said it. We're in a twelve team industry mock draft and Aaron Rodgers just got picked. What was it you said the eighth round. Matthew Stafford's not getting drafted. He's just not. And the Lions want to run the ball, Matt butcherser wants to run the ball. You're gonna see a lot of carry On Johnson. You're gonna see a lot of c. J. Anderson. They're gonna be a run based offense. This is not the same offense where Staffords throwing the ball seven herd of times. Uh, Calvin Johnson's out there, It's just not that same offense. And at this point being sort of where we are in terms of the quarterback position and it being so deep, like, dude, I'm taking Kyler Murray over Stafford. Uh, there's a lot of quarterbacks that are gonna go at his Stafford. I mean, you could make an argument for Josh Allen, you could make an argument for same Donald as well. A couple of guys who were up and coming. So Lamar Jackson's another one. Nothing against Matthew Um and uh he's been a great fantasy quarterback for a lot of his career, but the bloom is off the rose. Yeah. How tough is he? Man? I know? I I sprained my ankle a couple weeks ago playing some hoops, and like this past week, it finally like the sprain has gone down, and I just felt like such a such a terrible, terrible being able to like not even be able to walk on an ankle sprain for a couple of days. Um Staffords played through. I think he played through a dislocated finger once before, separated earlier touchdown past year. Yeah, he's tough to He separated his shoulder, came back in like two plays later for a freaking time. I just remember the you know the NFL films. Is that a game winning I think it was. I remember the the it was against. In fact, I pulled it up against the Browns. Um. I just remember the NFL film video where he's like, yeah, I want to come back in like you know, I want to play and he throws a touchdown. Lions beat the Browns and tough guy. Um, the legend Begins who really suffered through a lot of injuries to begin his NFL career and then it was extremely dur has been extremely durable since then. Yeah, he has played every game. He played sixteen games for one basically every season since. So was that seven eight seasons in a row? Um, you know, and I don't. I know. People talk about starting streaks and your Eli Manning starting Street got a big deal and then everything. But Matthew Stafford, I mean you can count on him to be out there pretty much every single week. So uh. Mariti Cooper says his goal is two thousand yards this season, to which I say, it's good to want things, but um, I mean, look, Graham, I know that he's the number one guy there in Dallas, and he did great things when he came over last year. Two thousand yards seems nice. Uh, it seems a little lofty, right. I don't think he's gonna get there. I mean, if he gets tod I think were the very very very happy and fantasy. Um, this Dallas offense this year is gonna be really exciting. I'm actually, for the first time maybe in five six years, we have to be somewhat excited for a Dallas offense. You knows gone calling Moore's the o C. I love it. I can't wait. Man, it'll be exciting. Man. I do think they're gonna do some interesting things in terms of the way they'll deploy both Cooper, Gallop Um hopefully Seek in the screen game. It'll be interesting. So no one's ever had two thousand yards in a season, though I think Calvin him closet came close, and he's only one. So even as a Cowboys homer, I'd love to see it happen. Sorry, Marie Graham's right. If we get you know, eight to ten touchdowns from Amory, we're Mark Cooper has thirteen yards and ten touchdowns. I think all love it. We will all have no hands on Oh yeah, yeah, no, that's huge. I mean so, just the way I look at it, the Cowboys offense isn't built for somebody to have two thousand receiving. It's just not especially when you add Cobb into the mix. Jason wit and I get it. He's old, he was in the broadcast booth last year, but he's still going to get his targets. Um. That offense is gonna be fun, man, Doc's no excuses, no excuses this season for the Cowboys not to win. Playing in a bad division, You've got more weapons around you than you probably ever had. Hopefully Travis Frederick is back to secure the offensive line. Uh. Defense is young and up and coming. Although there's some question marks about Byron Jones and good officers, Giants and Redskins are bad. But the NFC as a whole is a really good Oh yeah, yeah, I mean it's Cowboys Eagles in the NFC East, Yeah, and no doubt about that. So it's a really good conference. By For the record, Calvin Johnson one thousand, nine hundred sixty four yards. I pulled it up and I forgot that that prior season he had scored sixteen touchdowns in the right year he almost had two thousand years had four. I almost want to say he got tackled on the three yard league, he led the league a bunch of times. He got tackled on the one yeard. He led the league, the league getting tackled inside the five. Yeah, that's what it was. It had to be just just I remember sitting, you know, working here and sitting on Sundays and watching it and just yeah, everybody just groaning every time he looks like he's going to score and he gets tackled inside the five yard one. So which just goes to prove that touchdowns are a fickle beast and they are hard to project from from the year to year. Tevin Coleman reportedly is the closest thing to wave forty Niners League back That was per Matt Myoko, who covers the team there in the Bay Area, and um flabs, we have talked about this backfield. It will continue to talk about what it's going to be and how things are gonna shake out. I know the the talk was that of the three between Tevin Coleman, Jerick McKinnon Matt Brita, one of those guys is likely to be a healthy scratch most weeks just because they're not going to run all three of those guys there. Um that that, I guess sort of clears some things up. I mean, it's good news. We always said that Coleman was going to be the guy to target in fantasy uh, because he's got that that that rapport with Kyle Shanahan from the time together in Atlanta. His best fantasy season came under Shanahan while they were together with the Falcons. But with that being said, you've got three guys who can carry the mail for you. And if we do see the trend where one of these three is going to be inactive between Coleman, McKinnon, and Brita, it's not likely going to be Coleman unless he's hurt. Uh. McKinnon coming off the knee injury, Brita coming off of hundred different injuries, um, but all should be fine for the start of the regular season. Coleman would be the guy right now. He's going around the seventh round. That's where he's going as a flex starter somewhere in the seventh round. And it's an interesting pick because Shanahan's running backs I've had a lot of success Mane statistically, so Coleman could end up being a decent bargain, but you still fear that there's going to be a committee situation. They also have Raheem Most start in there. Uh, and you've got Kyle Uschek who's more of a fullback, but he can catch the ball of the backfield as well, So we'll see. But Coleman right now is in that flex starter situation. So Kyle Shanahan's rbs have finished in the top ten and yards from scrimmage and four the last five years in top ten and touches in five of the last five. And then in this span obviously it's with the Browns of Falcons and now Niners. Um, Tevin Coleman is fantastic pick in the seventh round. I think this year. Yeah, I think he's a fantastic pick. The one the one thing you have to worry about is, I mean, can you actually be a featured back for sixteen games? He won't be. He's gonna be. Yeah, he's never He's never had more than a touches in the season, which came last season. Right. I just want slices of great offenses. And I think if the Niners are healthy, Um, I think this could be a really really fun fantasy offense. Everyone here is cheap though, I mean it's chief, It's not like it's not even Ellie. Even Pettis, although he's moving up a little bit. The only guy that's going to cost you a lot is it's gonna And I want to ask you a question about that real quick. Just a sort of veer off topic for a second. Um, Because fantasy football is a fickle beast, right, Marcus, touchdowns are fickle yards. So are we over rating George Kittle? Who I love because he's a W W E guy and he was tremendous on one of my fantasy teams last season. He's had one good season. He will not hit the same yardage total he hit last year. He broke the record for single season yards by a tight end. Um, we're on the same page, see like, at some point, getting into the summer, getting deeper in the summer, I'm read a column about things that no one in the fantasy industry is talking about that we should be and I think basing and it was great last season. Don't get me wrong, but but George Kittle is considered one of the elite tight ends in fantasy football right now after one season where he hit his ceiling and at least two categories. Yeah, I think that the biggest The biggest argument though against it this year, against draft and Kittle in that second round area is just it's positional scarcity, right, Like, well, I get it, let's let's get it. Let first, let's talk about real quick what the fort Niners have done this off off off season? Right, Like, they used two picks. In the second day to draft, Deebo Samuel and Jalen Heard brought in Tevin Coleman, Who's going to see his fair share of targets just still there. Dante Pettis is gonna be one hards Goodwin should be. We'll see. Pettis missed a bunch of time in the middle of the season last year. He's now finally healthy. They're getting Jimmy g back. All of these things. I mean, just if you take away a few targets per game from Kittle, I mean, he averaged over eight and a half targets per game last year. If you take a few of those away, I mean you're instantly really really relying on touchdown. I like, if someone if someone throughout this scenario, uh eight catches seventy seven yards over under, I'm going under all day long, and I might go significantly under in the yardage categories. So when you say significantly under, though, I mean you still right, You're You're right, he's been at a thousand yards. Still are you're looking where you I mean, what do you think a thousand yards which is still very good, which is still very good, Um, seventy catches, but I mean a eight thirteen seventy seven, like the five touchdowns, I can see an improvement there because that's no great But I just look at this wide receiver corps though in San Francisco, and I think there's a lot of hope, um, but not a lot of not a lot of for sures, you know, and you know, like you know Dante Pets, I think is you know, we saw what he can do a little bit. We you know, Marky's Goodwin hasn't been able to stay on the field regularly enough. I mean we we hope that uh you know, Deebo Samuel turns into something. We sort of know what Jordan Matthews is right now. Um, there's just a lot of hope. And George Kittle is kind of the only thing that you know is there there is there is And my my big is problem with Kittle this year is because I love him as a player, and he's one of my most drafted players last year. It's just the opportunity costs, Like I can't draft George Kittle over. I can't do it either, t Y Hill over, Mike Evans, I just can't do it. Can't do this. And I'll tell you this Um, I was hanging out last week with the Marius Randall was a good friend of mine, and you know, I'm always picking his brain. He's a dB and he the one thing he tells me and I remember it, you know, over and over again. Dude, when guys break out, teams have film on them, Teams target them in terms of defending them the following season. So, like, I mean, George Kittle is great. Kit Kittle might be a Grant clone though uncoverable. I get it. I mean, but we'll see, but we'll see. I'm not ready to put him in that category at this point, but that's gonna be interesting. And weird stuff happens every single season. We see it, year after year after year after year. Weird stuff happens. And I wouldn't be surprised if Kittle ended up being a disappointment based on the high expectations that he set for himself, based on We've taken different paths, but we're both Wow. I just drafted him in the third round of a draft. I took him the third um of a PPR draft. So I'm hoping you're wrong, that's all. I hope I'm wrong too, But I mean, sometimes a guy comes out and he's so great one time, and then everyone goes nuts for him and inevitably that the chances are that he's not going to meet those expectations the following season. Third round is not as bad as a second. So, okay, I'll give you that. I feel a little better there. Trek Cohen says he doesn't expect his role to change in twenty nineteen. That's good because he's a guy that I've been kind of taking a later round stab at in a lot of situations, and um, and I guess on the face fans, I guess that that makes a lot of sense when you figure, you know, look, David Montgomery maybe slides into the Jordan Howard Roles sore. Cohen kind of just stays where he is. And he was RB eleven in PPR last season. I want to say he was damn good. I had him in a couple of leaks. I never took him out of my lineup. I mean, the guy had seventy seventy catches, seventy one catches. He was ridiculous. And I get David monkerm it comes in better pass catcher coming out of college clearly than Jordan Howard was a season ago. Mike Davis is also there as well. But it's almost like the situation in New England right where they bring in Damien Harris, who might affect Sony Michelle's role, but not really James White's role. So Montgomery comes in, could affect what we thought Mike Davis would have potentially been the starter, and then Montgomery comes in and then forget about that. But Montgomery comes in will affect Mike Davis's role, maybe maybe take a few targets away from from Cohen. But Colin is that Swiss army knife that uh, that naggie you love to use last season, and he was successful and I don't see him really seeing a decline in terms of his role in the offense in teen because he was a big part of why the Bears were so good offensively. If you know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. No, I mean, I agree, um, And I've kind of been preaching this that three Cohen is not going to fade out of this offense. You know that he's still gonna happen. I mean, he's not gonna be the RB eleven, but could he be the RB eighteen nineteen and you're getting him, you know, in the seventh round. I mean, hell, take him as a flux starter all day long and PPR. My my problem with with guys like Cohen and taking them in like the six and seventh rounds just like there's just no side attached to that's just no upside attached. It's like, we know Cohen's gonna catch six seventy balls this year, but what's that worth when you're taking him over you know, you know, potential to number two or number two three receiver like Robby Anderson. You're taking him over Tyler Boyd, Jervis Landry, Will Fuller, Um. I like Cohen, I don't think cohens changed role is going to change too much. I do agree with a lot of the drumbeat that we've heard this offseason. My problem with guys like Cohen is just they have to be attached to really, really great offenses to have a true touchdown ceiling, and those kind of pass catching backs just don't have big touchdown ceilings except when they play on the Patriots and there James White, James White has kind of been the only guy in the in that little receiver role where he has eighty carries every season, but he ends up as a top like every mock draft I should wear a man like so many mock drafts, I've gotten him. I don't know why people are down on him in the industry, but well, I just I think, but I think you talk about that down number and it's just it's just so hard because the touches aren't necessarily there. But you know, if and if the touchdowns don't happen, then all of a sudden, you just you don't really get much from him. Um Cohen's upside is so I mean, his weekly upside is so so sick because he can take one, you know, one target and go to the house with human joystick man. There's a lot of fun to watch. Ineen, We'll see what happens in nineteen. There you go. That's pretty much everything you need to know. So we are in kind of that lull right where we're still a month away from training camp starting, and we're starting to get to that point where by the time we get to September, every player has probably been talked about in Fantasy Twitter, right we have we have broken down every player almost on every roster. Uh So, now we've reached the point where we're looking at some of these wide receivers who might go mid to late rounds. And and I came up with this because the DeVante Parker hype has come back into our lives again. Um it does every season, at least once every year. And so the reports out of Miami or that he looks great, Um, you know that that he has been the best player in camp, is certainly the best wide receiver in camp, uh and and all. And this year has come with the no for real, like no for real this time, like for real Devanta Parker uh is legit this year? So um, he's like the He's like the Jared Cook of wide receivers. I mean, so I bank, It's just as simple like are we are we finally buying There's a new coach, there's a new quarterback, Like are we finally buying DeVante Parker? This year, Kenny Stills is getting drafted ahead of him among Dolphins wide receivers. And I remember last season, why isn't he playing? Why isn't he playing? Why isn't he playing? And then finally he played, I think it was against Houston, and he went nuts and everyone jumped all over him on the waiver wire, and it was the best game he had all seasons. I mean, the targets are going to be there, right, I mean they they they lost Amondola. Um. I wrote a column about lost and gained targets that should be up at some point, maybe this week on NFL dot Com. The Dolphins go into the season with available targets based on last season's roster, so opportunities are out there. But I mean, you know, Parker is what he is. He's he's a late run flyer. I would say you probably would be better off getting Albert Wilson a little bit later to try and get a little value there, because Wilson flashed a little bit last season. So, but there's nobody in Miami outside of maybe Drake that that I'm really targeting in you know, in my fantasy drafts. So so even the fact, so this year, uh, Parker's under contract. Next year, there's a club option for him, right, And I know we talked sort of about guys in contract years. Um, so nothing, you're not You're still not You're still not. Know, it's a it's the same thing every season with him, even when the opportunities have been there he hasn't been able to cash in. Yeah, and and for what it's worth. Two, I mean this Dolphins pass catching and really just their entire like how we're divvying up the opportunity on this team is really just kind of up in the area still. Even at this point, I mean, we've got three receivers here that could potentially see you for five targets per game. Mikecasecki's role is kind of in flux Calin Belage, and both Calin Belage and Kanyan Drake can catch the off the backfield. Drake is an interesting player for me this season. He really is, because, like he's never been a true featured back even back to his days in college. But like this is the opportunity for him to be the guy, and I wonder, uh if if he's going to actually earn that role this season. And that's honestly why I'm taking I've taken a few late late flyers on Calin Belage just because, I mean, you talk about guys who are explosive, who can take it to the house on one touch. I mean, he he has that ability, um, and I think he's going to try to at least force his way onto the field. We'll see how much it happens. But again, it's like for me, it's worth it a late round shot. If it doesn't work out, no big deal, um. But if it doesn't, then it turns into something you talk Graham about diving up some of these targets in this offense. And one of the other names that I have seen come up in the last few days is Albert Wilson. Now, Scott Barrett, uh you wrote an interesting piece about, you know, kind of how the targets are set up, and then I saw he had a little graphic about you know, Wilson's yards after catch and this sort of thing. Now you know, I am I am one of the people who have pushed the bird alert hashtag hashtag on Twitter. It's good, he is good, But you know, all these sort of peripheral you know, yards after catch and this sort of thing only really matters if they can get him the football regularly, right, Like, yeah, you can, you can give me thirteen yards after the catch, but if you're only catching the ball like three times a game, what does it matter? And so like I feel like this is one where we we really are digging into the numbers to maybe try to create a monster that might not be there. Yeah, unfortunately. I mean last few years, Albert Wilson has been awesome though. I mean, like he's uh, I think top two yards per out run. I mean I think he had like nearly it's like eleven yards after the catch per reception last year, which is just loony tunes. But he only saw thirty five targets and he's never seen more than sixty two targets in a single season. H Yeah, we're gonna need you to see a little more volume in their buddy. Yeah, it's just it's not gonna come in this offense. It's not gonna come. There's not gonna be a featured receiver in this offense whatsoever. So okay, so here's the here's the numbers which you go checking out Pro Football Focus Scott Barrett Road is an interesting article. Um, just kind of going through guys in the Miami offense to see if maybe we're we're undervalue. In last year, thirteen point to seven yards after the catch per reception, four point three five missed tackles per reception. Both of those really good numbers ranked really really high. Um, But man, if he's just not catching the ball like this really matters, you know, in terms of efficiency, Like Albert Wilson mirrored Tyler Lockett a little bit last year. Lock It was insanely efficient yet nearly fourteen yards per target that Wilson and Lockett kind of had hmil are efficiency numbers on very few targets. But Wilson obviously the biggest problem with him is the hip injury. We have no idea where you right, that's he's he's what he's missed O T A S. Yeah, he's missed. He's missed pretty much everything until up until now. Um, so hopefully he's on track for training camp because he's an explosive, fun player when he's on the field. Uh. Up in New York, Cody Latimer says, the Giants wide receiver corps can be quote dominant. Uh this is are they playing in the XFL? Like, look when that starts up dominant. I understand that, right, you lost oh b J over the offseason, and and so you do have to sort of, you know, kind of puff yourself up a little bit. So I don't really have a problem with that. Um. The correlator this Corey Coleman right now looks like the front runner for the number three wide receiver jump. That sounds like a dominant receiving cord of guys. So you know you got Sterling Sharia Eddie. Uh, you got Sterling Shepherd there. We know Evan Ingram is gonna get his targets there um. But what we're we're we're in. We're in on ing Shepherd at some point in draft, I would imagine and on out in Ingram. But Golden Tate. Uh, it's like you know this and I think Evan Inger probably he'll he'll certainly be a top five tight end um in twenty nineteen based on what he's done historically without O b J. And we saw that last season. But there's that question mark. Is it Tate or is it Shepherd? You know, like if you're if you're up somewhere in like the eighth ninth round of your draft, you need a wide receiver. Both guys are on the board, who are you taking? I think it's which one is running these shorter routes. Well, I mean, Golden takes has been yards after catch guy and right Eli Manning's got the noodle arm thing. So you would think you want to get a wide receiver who can go in there and catch the short en inter mediates and maybe make a little hay after he catches the football. Although Sterling Shepherd last year, uh, he had almost nine yards. It's not out of the Roman possibility that to get you a thousand this season. Yeah, I think you guys didn't seem very confident. And I don't know, it's just taking a receiver attached to Eli, knowing that Shepard and take are both going to see very very low a dot targets. It's just so so boring. It's just it's just so obviously, like most likely not a move that's going to help you win weeks in fantasy. Um, it's just more of a depth move in my opinion. But the speaking of depth, the Giants are just completely punted on their third receiver for like for years, literally three years now, Corey Coleman, Darius Slayton, Benny I mean Benny Fowler could be their third receiver this season. Um, a couple of former Broncos. Right, didn't fother play? Did he did? M Yeah? Yeah, did you see the low in the conversation? That's just how I'm sorry, it's just a a little excitement. It's just the drawn any Giants not named sake Kwan Barkley, although Evan I like, yeah, there's still there's still some excitement there. Um. Staying in the state of New York, Josh Allen says Cole Beasley could be a safety valve and that could be big for them. I mean, look, that's in some respects what Cold be Ley was during his time in Dallas, and he was the guy kind of guy that UM could occasionally, you know, put up a nice number for you on any given week. Maybe not a guy you're starting week to week. UM, potentially that's what he is in Buffalo, right. I mean, we know Josh Allen has the big arm, he wants to go downfield. He's got John Brown, he's got Robert Foster that he can hit, you know, deep down the field. But there may be some some kind of late round value. Uh. And in having a guy like Cole Beasley kind of takes some pressure off the quarterbacks. The Bills are upside down a hundred and thirty five targets compared to last season's roster because of what they added John Brown. Who I mean, if you're gonna draft Bill's receiver, it's probably John Brown because Josh Allen's got a big arm and John Brown can struct defenses. You've got Robert Foster that who's still there. You've got Za Jones who's still there. Um, you know, you bring in Beasley, you bring in Tyler Croft, a tight end, Dawson Knox. Also the rookies, so and they nearly lose anything. So it's gonna be hard. Like I don't know that I don't know that cold Beaz will be any better in Buffalo than he was last season in Dallas. And really Busy only had one really really good fantasy season from a PPR perspective, that was a couple of seasons ago. But um, yeah, there's there's a couple of offenses in the league like this, where like you're not sure which wide receiver to to go out and get because they have a bunch of the same sort of level you know, like the Redskins, Like who the hell do you draft? If anybody is it? Is it Docks and is it Richardson? To you go after one of the rookies? You know? The Bills is the same sort of situation. Um, I I love Josh Allen because of the pieces that they've put around him and because of what he can do with his feet, which we saw last season, but I can find out a lot about what he could. Yes, yes, I mean they they've got they got four running backs, but I don't know what imagine, like what we're doing mock drafts right now, and like there's a I don't know if it's fifty fifty, but there's a there's a chance on McCoy doesn't even make the team I got. I don't know, like it's I think that backfield is just a mess, and I always end up getting McCoy because I'm like, in the eighth, ninth, I don't need a running back. I'm like, oh yeah, And I think the McCord myself, McCory getting cut Cliff has passed. Um, they could have saved a bunch of money by cutting and pre tune one. I think the Bills. I don't know how blastmous this is gonna be, guys, but I think the Bills might be good this year. I'm actually really you know, the pieces around them like that the offense could be could be underrated at this point, but like fantasy purposes, I mean, there's next to nothing that you can trust there. Yeah, the receiver corpse fun and their defense should be really good this year. But yeah, for fantasy, it's just so bleak. It's so I mean, they're running back, they're running back group. It's you know, McCoy is likely the number one, got some combination of Frank Gore and t J yelled in behind him. I still think there's an outside chance Devan singletarily this year, and I've seen him getting more and more often lately. Yeah, not that there will be particularly meaningful touches. Yeah, I mean there's an outside chance he leaves. I got him in Dynasty. I'm hoping. I'm hoping is when he becomes the guy, Yeah, more of a guy. I am seeing his name pop up more and more often in drafts. Um, Well, because I feel like, you know, people who are smart draft for upside, and you know, McCoy doesn't have a whole lot of upside, and Gore doesn't have a lot of upside, and t J. Yelton doesn't have a lot of upside. But single theory has at least somewhat in a crowded backfield situation. All right, Well, there you go. Um sounds about some of these wide receivers that are still hanging around the boards in the middle eight rounds and whether or not they are maybe worth a flyer. Uh you know, draft at your own peril. By the way, you started a quarterback run in our mock. So you went Rogers and then you went Russell Will and then I saw a Baker just got picked. This is what happens guys in these industry Like I want to be the one. It's not starting the run right, it's it's there. It's like, oh, oh, now I gotta get a quarterback. At this point the pressure is off, so now I can get raft the quarterback. It's fine. I will say, uh more and more. I have been kind of going a little bit early because I'm kind of going all in on the idea that that Andrew Luck will be the QB one this year. So I'm you're going I mean, so I say, really, I mean, like you know, seventh fight round sort of thing. The order like has shifted though. I've seen, you know, Mahomes is going to be number one, but like I've seen it's Watson and Luck in Rogers. You know, those three guys in no particular order, those are the three that are going to go after Mahomes at some point, uh, starting in the middle of your of your draft. But um, I feel like Rodgers is sort of muscle memory on a lot of people I know. But I mean, like, I mean, he's still he's still very gonna and I shouldn't say I shouldn't make it sound like he's gonna just fall off a cliff because I don't believe those fantasy points because your quarterback can't chug a bear, that's what. But the guy is still great. It's completely fair. Actually, I mean Rogers has been in terms of like his efficiency has been just kind of mad the last four years. Now. Granted, now I think that's part of Mike McCarthy's offense just getting extremely stagnant, Aaron Rodgers having to do everything at the line of scrimmage. That's another discussion. But yeah, rod No, it's a completely fair point Marcus about Rogers last couple of years for fantasy he's just kind of been in that middle tier. He's been a middle tier. He's been a middle ty right exactly. He's still like QB one and he's just not the QB one, right, And we've all, I mean, last season we did have discussions on NFL Fantasy Live about whether or not Rodgers was someone that you could ever sit because there were stretches where he wasn't wasn't anything, and he did bulk up his numbers towards the end of the season, especially in that game against the Jets, I believe, Butte Adams had a nuclear Maybe I just have maybe I just have a soft spot for Aaron Rodgers. I still have them ranks two at quarterback, but it's close. There you go. So, speaking of drafts, trying a new thing, the fantasy draft of things. Every so often, it'll be fun just to pick a random category and we'll go around the horn and we'll all draft something from that category. Three round draft. Um, I I should have done a draft order, but I figured, you know, we'll go because Graham, since your last name starts with B, you are first in the line alphabetically. Um, you can. You can start the the Great School all over again. Yeah. I look at that. Um So toy story four just kind of mopped everything up at the box office this past weekend. Hundred and eighteen million. Eddie. I know you said you would and saw it and enjoyed it and said it. You said it. It seems like the perfect way to kind of end this whole thing. I mean, three, you could have ended the three, but I could see logically how they extended from three into four. But I think four for once and for all, for not giving it anything away. I think you could walk away and be like, Okay, they actually did ended for good this time. And if they bring something back in the fifth, then I want to say they're pushing it because it doesn't make any sense. Okay, So all right, um So because of that, though, I said, I decided, let's let's draft the top all time or at least your favorite movie franchises. Uh. And now, so we were frabs, you and I were talking about this before the show. I think for purposes of this, like, um, like for the Marvel cinematic universe, we can break those out, right, so like the Avengers can be one, iron Man can be one of America, right like x Men. I was going to ask that because Marvel is just because it's so it's so huge, right, so like let's let's kind of break those down a little bit and so like have the individual you know, superhero franchises kind of you can try to tell Batman and you can go back all the way to Michael Keaton and you keep it up with affleck. Yeah. See, like so are we cool? Like so Batman just one Batman should be one Superman, same kind of spider Man, right, spider Man from Toby McGuire all the way to Tom Holland all the way to Tom Holland. Just all right cool? Okay, So that that having been said, Uh, Graham will start. We'll just go around the horn. Uh three rounds and you're on the clock. I'm an idiot. If I don't take Star Wars right, you are, it would be not in my number one. It's it's definitely my it's up there is one of my favorite. I don't know if i'd say it's my favorite, but it's also like definitely the most popular, right, I feel like it's the right one on one. I mean it's forty years in counting first Star Wars, right, it's the right one O one? All right, that's that works. So like, so let's see Barfield, so fabriano Graham Grant and then okay, so I'm on, I gotta go Avengers. Yeah, you know every movie and that in that franchise, I mean, like Age of All Tron was okay, right, but the last two movies have been just spectacular. I've got to go with ventures. I'm so sorry. I still haven't. I still haven't seen In Game, Jeezy. They releasing this Friday. Okay, all right, I have to go check the star power in that movie, you know in the Front. I mean you have two of those movies are over billions of dollars over three yeah, ye okay, so uh for me at the number three pick, I'm gonna I'm gonna venture out of science fiction and superheroes. I'm going James Bond, the the James Bond, I mean they were twenty James Bond twenty five, which I don't think has an actual name right now. I think they're just calling it Bond twenty five at the moment until they come up with an actual title. Is they are filming? Although Daniel Craig got hurt, so he's uh, he's many Bonds? Have there been twenty four dudes? There are twenty four? How many? How many who have played We got Connery? Connery, Roger Moore, George Lays and by who was one movie on Her Majesty's Secret Service? Um, the guy I can't remember his name. There's Timothy Dalton, not him, there's Pures and now Daniel Kristel six. Who's your favorite Bond? Well, Okay, Sean Connery is sort of in a class by himself, so I feel like you have to kind of exclude him. So beyond that, for me, it's Roger Moore because that's the guy that we grew up. That's kind of the guy that I grew up with his Bond. Um and my favorite, even though it's far from the best, but my favorite is Living Let Die. It's not a great one. Um, I take that back. It's probably Skyfall now because when I saw Skyfall, I felt like that was a top top five sky sky Fall is the best Bond. Sky Fall is amazing movie. But but Roger Moore is probably my favorite, my favorite James Bond. Alright, So Eddie, you were up at at pick four. Um I am. I'm gonna take this one because of the amount of movies they have and how each one is individually, very very successful, and it comes along with a book franchise, and it has its own theme park. I know where it's going. Had Harry Potter on, Yeah, I knew where that was. I've never seen a Harry Potter movie, but really, yeah, I feel like I need to dive into that. They're good. You've never seen a Harry Potter Wow, that's almost disagreed. Justus, just me, not seen anything like I grew. I was in second grade when the first book came at first second grade, so for me, it was like you had no choice to you just like handed the book like all right, started reading Star reading like. I mean, there were school trips to watch the movie, so I like was raised with it. So to me, it's a it's important all right. Um yeah, I remember I remember seeing one, going to see kind of back to back when they released episode seven, um, and sitting next to this girl who I don't know, she might have been fourteen, fifteen years old. It was on her phone the entire time, and every ten fifteen minutes would look up and say, what's happening? What's going on? I wanted to throw her phone to the front of the theater. I really really did. Um. Oh, I guess I should have feared that are we are we doing a snake drop? Or we are we coming back? We're just gonna make the loop whatever you want, you're making the roll just go back back to Graham and just come back around again. I'll go to Spider Man just because it's been around for so long. And if you've seen, um, the latest one, the animated one that was into the Spider versus slink Out on that Into the Spider Verse was I think one of the three best that positions of Spider Man I've seen. It is an all time super brou move. It's very very good. It's absolutely all good. Okay, Um, alright, Fabs, you're up, dude. I got a soft spot for Rocky. I mean I love Rocky and you and the Creed movies are also in that franchise. In the last two Creeds that this the last Creed movie was I loved it. I mean really, the only Rocky that sucked was five, Like if if five five never existed, I mean like, this is one of the best franchises. Rocky one was an award winner, uh three and four four most people think is the best one. Um, Rocky Balbo is I think very good. And then the two Creed movies were Rocky Bubbles. You get Creed as well. It's all in the Rocky Babbo universe, isn't it. It's pretty good man. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. If they made a third Creed and I feel like Creed, I guess if we get a third Creed, then like in the future breaks out right a trio that if you get three movies, well for now, ye, Rocky Babbo is in those movies. You know, it's it's totally on brand for you to pick Rocky like you had had to pick Um at this point, there's so many different ways I can go. Here, they're gonna take the one I would take next, I think, um, you know what I'm gonna go. I don't know if this is a surprise. So even though well, as far as I'm concerning, the fourth movie never happened. So I'm going with the Indiana Jones. Oh there you go. I had that written down yet because it ended with the last Crusade. That's all that happened. There was nothing more after that. Are they doing another one? I've heard rumors that they are, but since I mean, people keep calling it Indiana Jones five, which is weird because they never did it. Four. As far as I'm concerned, was just I never I never saw Indiana Jones hied from a nuclear blast in a refrigerator that never happened, I know. I mean like and to survive that too, I mean really, I mean that thing went fly, any land came out the old man, not a bone broken. Nothing didn't happen. Movie. All right, Eddie, you're up end of Round two. I was just going to do another trilogy that has um that has also done very very well, but the last second to switch it up, and I'm gonna go the Fast and Furious. Serious. I love all those guys, and they're they're branching off and you you add the rock who makes it better, and you add Tokyo Drift was the only one. That's the only way that was kind of bad. I mean, it's how many movies are they gonna get up to now with the spinoffs? Like eight or nine? Oh, I don't know, but I hear that there's talk that they want to get to ten Fast and Furious. Yeah, and then I don't know how many spinoffs they want to do. Speaking of somewhere when we Shaw and Hobbes coming out or Hobbs and Shaw. Yeah, every person they've added was like great and enhanced the whole series. I mean, they had Galaghade before she was famous with in them. I mean, like, I just I love the characters too. I think it's I think it's great, all right. All right, so we're starting around three. Back to you, Graham, how do we feel about me taking the Dark Knight trilogy. You know, you gotta take all the Batman's. You gotta take them all, you gotta take them all. I guess I'll have to with the press that with you with the preface that the Dark Knight Trilogy was well, all right, so I'm gonna I'm gonna maybe their greatest streak of superhero I'm gonna throw out a hot take. There was only one good movie in that trilogy. Batman Begins was boring, and The Dark Knight Rises was just sort of self indulgent, like aside from like aside from Darkmans. A couple of lines like The Dark Knight itself was incredible, and I think I think that sort of boost the whole trilogy. But I think the trilogy as a whole, I think it's sort of overrated. I'll give you the final the final film, Dark Knight Rises was definitely a little but um so grandos. I think it would be the best way to put it, Yeah, but I thought the first two Batman aikins, and obviously Dark Knight was alright, I guess I'll take the whole Batman. Plus, Look, we just hit we Batman. We just passed the anniversary of the Tim Burton Batman, which I remember. I was twelve years old when I came out, and that was my whole world. And I spent months just drawing the logo on all my like folders and book covers in school, like before it came out, and just having a zillion Batman shirts. Even now, I went back and watched it maybe a year ago, and there's a scene where you know he's going to go fight the Joker. He's in the bat wing and he flies up to the sky and he stops right in front of the moon and it looks just like the bat symbol. And even now at forty years old, I get giggly when I see it, So I can't I can't be mad. I mean, Nicholson was my Joker too. Yeah, that's the movie I grew up like watching absolutely that nine right I saw I saw that for the first time at Cape cod I was on vacation with my father and my sister. I saw that. Uh yeah, I was a fan. I was a fan, alright, really and this is this is like an unpopular opinion. But I didn't hate the Val Kilmer batman. I didn't hate it. I didn't hate it like Clooney was way worse, way worse. I didn't hate Val Kilmer. Joel Schumacher did the franchise No Favors when he took over the right, and Jin Carry was in that movie too, So I had some star part. And uh, was that was that the one that had um Uh that had Aaron Schwartzenegger. No, that was that was Clooney's one, that was the bad one? That was the bad poison Ivy who played Poison Ivy? Was that Was that also Val Kilmer's? Or was that Schwarzenegger. I don't even remember them, but but I but I did like that Carry. I thought that one was bad. So I'm up now, right are So this it comes down to like a couple shoot, man, it comes down to a couple of them, by the way. That was Clooney with Uma Thurman. Yeah, okay, that was Tommy Lee Jones or a different one when he was too face. That was with with the Michael Keaton still bad. I'm going to go Lord of the Rings. He took mine. No, I was. I almost wanted to last because I got because I got the Hobbit movies. Also, yeah, the movies weren't good. I didn't I didn't hate them. Those Hobby movies were bad. I didn't hate them. No, they weren't as good as the Lord of the Rings, but I didn't hate them. I mean, DANDF was you know, they took one book and stretched into three. But the Lord of the Rings is just the Fellowship of the Ring will forever be my favorite Lord of the Rings movie. That was just like Oscars too. But they're one of the few big franchises that actually wins like awards. They have like the record for like a moment when the Art Stark was in the first one, right, well it's right. And by the way, no uh no quinsance. I got a little game with throw wins awards that aren't just like you know, special effects right alright, one like what twelve awards that wanted to turn to the King. Yeah, I need to go back and rewatch Lord of the the Rings. You should. Yeah, absolutely so good. It's been a couple of years. Um, okay, so next up. I feel like this doesn't get enough attention, and I guess it fits my might. I took Bond in the first round, Um, so why not take Ethan Hunt and the Mission Impossible franchise in the third round? Because I have, I have fully believed that we should make Ethan Hunt the American James Bond, so that whenever Tom Cruise is done playing him, we just get a new actor to step into the role and we keep Ethan Hunt going. Because really, aside from Mission Impossible to the which was John Woo and they had all the doves in the weird slow motion and stuff like, all of them have been really good. Um Too was the only one that wasn't good. But they've all been really really entertaining. So I think Mission up. I feel like it's just an underrated friend. That's that's another friend. I haven't seen one. I haven't seen. Man, they're all really good. Just don't I mean, Skip too, but see the rest of them, they're all good. Was amazing, Yeah, okay, yeah, well thanks guys. My two picks that were lined up called drafting. Um, I was thinking about going our superhero out by I I this is like more of a pick that I just enjoyed watching. It's one of those, like most rewatching the movies ever and they're always on TV. It's the Oceans movies. Oh yeah, I like you get Oceans eight with that too, which I like a lot. I like it was really good. I watched on a plane and I was like, let me just put this on, like I might fall asleep. Whatever. I ended up like getting and you had the original with the wrap pack and all that, right, yeah, which which actually was a really good movie. It's maybe half an hour too long, but it's good. I mean, I still haven't seen the Newitions eight. It's it's definitely good watching it. Really a lot of fun the I mean, the cast is so good. They're funny. I'm surprised you went there and not Spiderman or Superman. I the only superheroes I had in mind the Thorn, Thor and iron Man. But iron Man with three was the bad one, and Thoro wasn't even that good. Well yeah, there's was brutal. Thor one is great. Thor Ragnarok could arguably the best single Marvel movie, like not I mean non group movie, like single um superhero movie. But Thor Dark World was bad. I didn't get um. And then the new Jurassic Parks kind of stink, so and I was like, I New Jurassic Parks are not good movies. You didn't like Jurassic World the first one, even from like a nostalgia standpoint, I didn't think it was bad. The second one sucked. I was excited for like Jeff Goldbloom because he's in it, and I'm like, and he was in it for thirty seconds stopped going to the park. People like what, But I was like, it was the same thing as Star Wars, right, so, like you know, the Force Awakens was basically Star Wars. It was basically right, and then and then Jurassic World was basically Durassic Park. They just changed the name in the characters. Yeah, so all right, that's an interesting That's ah. I thought it was interesting. So there were there are a lot left on the board. I mean, I would say Superman is that it's not a surprise because really the original Superman movie from seventy nine, Superman two was good. After that, like, there hasn't been a good Superman movie and a good Superman movie since. And I would argue that the second Superman was the best in the whole franchise. Like the original Superman was really good, but when he had to face off against the three villains, you know, General Zodd and the other two I can't remember the names. Uh, non was that the dude couldn't talk. It's like naming the other two black eyed people. But I thought that one was really good. Um. But yeah, after that, like three with Richard Pryor was and the fourth one was awful with the dude with the long fingernails with the he was terrible. And then and then the new ones, including the ones I mean Batman Versus Superman was bad. When verse Superman was maybe one of the worst movies I've ever seen, right, And you know what's stupid about it? What was the what was the breaking point where they became pals? Your mom's got the same almost walked. I was like, are you kidding me? Right now? When the Martha thing happened, I almost loved it. Was so stupid, dude. The funny thing about that Batman ver Superman is, isn't that's when Wonder Woman's in that movie, right, That's that's like the best part of it. It's like the character's name, the character was not in the title of the movie when fight towards the end against the dude today was a dude, I don't know. Um, that was okay, but it's I mean, Justice League wasn't that good, Like it's it's so disappointed. That was like when I grew up with Man like the Justice League. I mean, obviously, you know, the Marvel characters are like two, but I was more into like Batman and Superman, and they just that's so disappointed. Wonder Woman was great. Wonder Woman was good. The difference between Marvel, even if Marvel has like a dud and they haven't had it done quite some time, they never got crushed as badly. What was there, dad? What was Marvel's Probably like we just talked about the later some of the Iron Man, but that actually terrible. I forgot Captain America. Captain America the Civil War and Winter Soldier are both very good. I probably awesome. They were awesome. So they did a job. And then the newer ones are great. Marvel's great, Um, the New Spider Man, Tom Mollins great. So uh yeah, but DC really screws a big time when they put out big time movies. Yeah yeah, um, so I was gonna go with a different social poll. But maybe we just make this the poll, like you know, like let folks decide who who won the draft? So, yeah, who is our put up on top four? Yeah? Up in the you guys can vote on who you thought had the best draft. Um, but he did. I'll let you know what. The other My other social pole idea was he just kicked this around for a little bit. Because so I'm sure a lot of you have seen on Twitter, cam Newton was weirdly enough flying coach somewhere. Um, how does that happen? He was like flying on an international flights of the people, Yeah, except he was trying to not be a man of the people because because he offered somebody fifteen dollars to switch seats with him and that person said no. Um. But it made me wonder, like would any of you give up your first class seat? How much did I pay for it? Um, That's what I'm wondering, Like why fifteen hundreds? That seems sort of an arbitrary number, And I'm wondering if that was the cost of the first class ticket, like I would want the cost plus a little bit, because now I mean number one, if I can afford to fly first class. I don't care if cam Newton's come up to me and offering me fifteen hundred bucks, because what's fift bucks to me? Yeah? If so, Yeah, if if it is like a fift ticket, you would definitely want plus. But if it's just like a domestic flight from I don't know, let's just say l A to Houston and for like probably what would cost like a six. It just depends on the flight, Like we don't know what the flight is. Um. I ran in cam Newton and a shake um stick shakes shack shakeshack shack shack in Atlanta of all places. He was like, I guess he's picking up dinner. He is so much larger in person. Oh, I can imagine that. You know what I see on the football field, Alex Rodriguez the same kind of thing. Like he's he's a big dude man. Yeah. Um even by the way, the flight was from Paris to Charlotte, a ten hour flight from Paris to Charlotte. Dude, you gotta up that game. Man, I just got paid a hundred million dollars, Like not get like enough my first class tick of the first place. That's that's gotta be three g's at least, like if you're if you're doing a ten hour our hall, yeah, cross the Atlantic, that's across the Atlantic. I feel like, yeah, I feel is not enough for that's what that's what show his business class? Does that mean it was like one of those just those like was the first class or was it just one like I want more? Like CBS News said it was business So it might be the extended leg room seat that he wanted, not just the first class like, but the business class seats on some of those flights. Those long haul flights are essentially first class and they're really nicely. I'm a coach guy too, but when you walk by, I mean it's just obvious. But yeah, so Cam paid for a business class seat, Um, okay, paid for a business class seat, but missed his flight, so then he was forced to forced to fly home via a connecting flight in Dallas in regular economy with no extra leg room. So it's sort of on Cam, right, that's all, he's just like us. He's miss flights, so everyone else in the back. But I do feel bad if you're literally six foot are over and especially have a backpack, you need to put out your feet, you have no rooms. The only way you can do is an air travel is just so bad. And then your seats forward and you're gonna you always next to people and if you if you're next to a bigger person and your squish, you lose your arm rest. And then Nickel and dined the hell out of the customers. Now like they've split up. Like it was like it was first class and then it was you know, coach. Now it's like first class, business class, economy class. Uh and then it's like basic basic, Like we could do a whole offseason podcast just bitching about air travel. Absolutely, I mean, honestly, train travel is the greatest thing ever. It just you know, you just never never caught on. You never caught on because you just have to. You know, it takes time, admittedly, but if you have the time to do it. I am a a firm advocate of traveling by training. I love me some man tracks, some man tracking. Absolutely. So uh So there you go. We'll have our poll up. You guys can vote on it, and you guys can vote in with the you know, the the franchises that we missed they didn't get drafted. You can jump in and uh and lay in with your submission as well. We have the Hard Knocks results from last Oh yeah, please. So last week we put which was the best season of Hard Knocks before we came down with where the Jets, the Browns, the Texans, and the Bucks? Um, anyone have any predictions of what I'm gonna guess? The Brown Browns. The Browns did win with forty percent, followed by the Jets at thirty two, Texans at seventeen percent, and the Bucks with eight percent. Wow, okay, all right, I mean the Browns was a good season. I also feel like there was maybe some recency bias, but you know, it was a good season. It was entertaining. I mean, definitely recentcy bias, but that was one of the most entertainment season. So cool it. Heads up next week, we'll be with you a little bit earlier. The fourth of July holiday is coming up, so we will be recording what Tuesday. That what we're doing next week earlier in the week. We have not yet officially decided. We'll figure that out, but keep an eye out for the podcast coming a little bit earlier next week as well. Um, because you know holiday time, so you guys can go out in the last holiday before the NFL summer is prett much over. Before it's all, the NFL summer is over. Uh so don't remind me so all right, that's it. We are done. We appreciate you always ask listening to tell two friends, to tell two friends rate review, and remember most of the really fun things in life for either a moral, illegal, or fattening. We'll see you next week. Wow, Wong wong, I'm going, I'm going.
