Marie is back and she's ready to fill us in on all the exciting things she's been up to since her last appearance. Her stories and updates are sure to entertain and delight as she re-joins the Nerds Talking crew for another fun-filled episode.
Next up, we dive into the highly anticipated film "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga." Directed and produced by George Miller, this 2024 Australian post-apocalyptic action film is the fifth installment in the Mad Max franchise, serving as both a prequel and spin-off to Mad Max: Fury Road.
Set 15 to 20 years before the events of Fury Road, "Furiosa" follows the young title character, played by Anya Taylor-Joy and Alyla Browne, as she navigates the harsh desert wasteland. From her kidnapping by the forces of warlord Dementus (Chris Hemsworth) to her revenge for the loss of her mother, the film traces Furiosa's journey from a slave to a trusted lieutenant of the Citadel's cult leader, Immortan Joe (Lachy Hulme), and his military commander, Praetorian Jack (Tom Burke). We'll discuss the intense action, stunning visuals, and powerful performances that make this film a must-watch for fans of the franchise.
After our film review, we take on the Beanboozle Challenge! Inspired by Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans from the Harry Potter films, this challenge is sure to bring plenty of laughs and maybe a few grimaces as we taste test some of the wackiest and weirdest jelly bean flavors out there.
Lastly, Marie enlightens us with a fun and surprising segment: what does a hippopotamus sound like? Prepare to be amazed and amused as she shares her knowledge and perhaps even demonstrates the unique sounds of these fascinating creatures.
Don't miss out on all the fun, laughs, and intriguing discussions on this week's episode of Nerds Talking The Podcast! Tune in for Marie's exciting return, our in-depth review of "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga," the hilarious Beanboozle Challenge, and much more!
