درباره این اپیزود
In this powerful episode of Naked Truths: Two Chicks on the Mic, host Melissa Ann interviews Paula Kensu, the courageous wife and relentless advocate for her husband Temujin Kensu—also known as Fred Freeman—who has been wrongfully imprisoned for 38 years. Temujin’s case stands as one of the most overwhelming examples of actual innocence in the country, recently spotlighted by NBC News, the Undisclosed podcast, The Prosecutors Podcast, and in-depth reporting by The Detroit News, Metro Times, and Michigan Radio.
Paula shares the heartbreaking story of Temujin’s conviction based on shaky witness testimony, a hypnotized eyewitness, and an implausible prosecution theory that Temujin could have committed the crime despite having multiple unimpeached alibi witnesses proving he was 400 miles away. Despite new evidence, including recanted snitch testimony and expert analysis revealing a highly biased photo lineup, courts have repeatedly denied reviewing the substantive evidence due to procedural technicalities.
Melissa and Paula dive deep into the emotional toll of wrongful incarceration and the fight for justice, exploring the challenges Paula faces as Temujin’s advocate and the hope that technology and awareness can bring freedom to those unjustly imprisoned.
Tune in to hear Paula’s unyielding voice for justice and learn how you can support the Kensu family’s mission to overturn wrongful convictions and reform the justice system.
