La la laaa la la…this is OUR Pod! It’s time for the beloved dark and twisty feminist of our childhood: Daria! Join us, the Morgendorffers, and all of Lawndale High as we navigate the themes and memorable episodes of this MTV classic. We go through the ups and downs of the series and TWO whole movies as well as the beautiful push and pull that was Daria and Jane’s friendship. We’re not like OTHER pods, we break down the walls of female stereotypes. How different were these archetypes from our real high school experiences? Was Daria the blueprint for Mean Girls? And how cool was it that they actually explored adult conflicts in a way that was relatable and accessible to our middle school selves? Tune in to the fashion club girlies and more in this episode of the Millennial Moodboard Podcast! And join our Patreon to help support the pod here: https://www.patreon.com/cw/Millennialmoodboardpod!
Honorable mentions include Michelle Branch, Beavis and Butt-Head, Tom Green, Helga, Legally Blonde, Tubi, nocturnal emissions, and more!
