Marvel Underground is back from summer hiatus — and apparently Marvel decided to save everything for our return.
This week, we’re breaking down the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer, from the Avengers vs. X-Men chaos and our first real look at Doctor Doom to the shocking return of Steve Rogers and the growing mystery surrounding Team Doom. Then we dive into the huge reveals from San Diego Comic-Con, including Ryan Gosling joining the MCU as Ghost Rider, the future of Black Panther, and plenty more fuel for the theory machine.
From there, we go deep on Spider-Man: Brand New Day — the street-level Spider-Man movie we’ve been waiting for, packed with Punisher, Hulk, mutants, familiar faces, emotional gut punches, and some very interesting implications for Peter Parker’s future.
Plus, we catch up on an excellent second season of X-Men ’97, talk Apocalypse, the expanding mutant universe, and what it could all mean for Marvel’s post-Secret Wars future — before wrapping things up with the mysterious Avengers: Endgame Encore and how it might connect everything back to Doomsday.
We were gone for two months. Marvel gave us approximately two years’ worth of things to talk about. Let’s get into it.
Excelsior!
🧠 Got a theory? We want to hear it.
