The incandescent Gail Nelson-Holgate is a versatile singer-actress, equally at home with Opera, Broadway, Theatre and Clubs. New York Credits include: Broadway’s The Tap Dance Kid (Ginnie Sheridan); Applause; Hello Dolly; On the Town; Eubie!; among others.
In 1995 Gail starred in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill" for the *opening* of Barrington Stage Company, along with her husband, Danny Holgate, noted jazz pianist, as her accompanist Jimmy Powers. I met Gail and Danny doing what was hoped to be the Broadway revival of Bubblin' Brown Sugar at The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, directed and choreographed by the late, great Billy Wilson.
Join us as Gail shares about her immense and illustrious career, spanning decades and genres seamlessly - and the edges traversed to maintain that seamlessness and versatility.
