Happy 30-ish years to Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas who gave us a pistol wielding author, Sara Rose Fielding, and a spectacles stealing extraordinaire, not for his green eyes, Derek Craven!
Surprisingly, this is the first time we’re reviewing this novel as a duo and we can never get enough! We love the push and pull between Sara and Derek. She did the one thing that he wants the most, to make him feel safe, which got her into his tight inner circle where surliness equals love.
We discuss the controversial scene with Tabitha and we got some good points! Toni loves telling everyone about the Fated Mates episode when author Sarah MacLean asks Lisa Kleypas about thee scene (time stamp 42:20). https://fatedmates.net/episodes/2019/9/24/s021-lisa-kleypas-does-spectacles-better-than-f-scott-fitzgerald-dreaming-of-you
However, we do love knowing everyone’s take on thee scene so please message us! #derekcravenwouldnever beg unless Sara’s involved 😉
Join us as we discuss a timeless novel that could have a wider fan base if faerie ears were present!!
