Caleb Shomo of Beartooth on Pure Ecstasy, Jordan Fish, and Finally Being Himself | Plus Fresh Meat: Waking The Sleeper

Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo joins Scott Penfold on the Loaded Radio Podcast to talk about Pure Ecstasy, the band's sixth album, out August 28 on Fearless Records.

After fourteen years of writing, playing and producing Beartooth records almost entirely by himself, Shomo let somebody else in — co-producer Jordan Fish, a title track born out of a session with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, and drummer Connor Denis behind the kit. We get into the reaction to "Free," the AI mess that nearly killed the "Bullshit" lyric video, the Pure Ecstasy world tour, and the year that changed what a Beartooth record can be about.

Then in this week's Fresh Meat, Raven Le Rouge of Wichita metal band Waking The Sleeper on building a band in Kansas, the Frequencies concept record, and what's next.
