So I started, so the dude talking about, um, fuck the Celtics.

Speaker 5: In multiple Lakers group chat. Why are you in Lakers group chat? I'm not in Lakers group chat. It's not Lakers group chat. Oh, they're just Lakers fans in the group chat.
00:03:41
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:03:42
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:03:42
Speaker 5: It's like the whole Lakers group chat. It sounded like you were in multiple Lakers group chat.
00:03:46
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, no. Like the whole Lakers group chat? No, no, no, no, no. Wait, I just hate on the Lakers? No.

Speaker 1: It's just a bunch of guys that's from.
00:03:55
Speaker 3: Some guys that's from here and not from here that's Lakers fans, and I want to know how. Like, how you not from here and you a Lakers fan? You just migrated to this bitch and you a Lakers fan.
00:04:04
Speaker 1: Like what you like, Rashad.
00:04:08
Speaker 4: I don't expect anything from a Lakers fan.
00:04:10
Speaker 1: Rashad is a Lakers fan. Yeah, but he is.
00:04:14
Speaker 2: Whole house purple yellow.
00:04:17

00:04:29
Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
00:04:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was rough.
00:04:31
Speaker 5: You brought some issues up earlier in the season. You got a lot of heat for shaping up. No, it's not over yet, so I can't. I'm not going to go.
00:04:40
Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait. You can't wait. You wanted to be over. Wait, hold on.
00:04:43
Speaker 4: You was rooting for the Boston Celtics was smoking on Boston packs?
00:04:48
Speaker 1: No, he want the Boston. No, he's Jayden Brown. Oh, he want them to lose so bad so he could talk about Taylor.
00:04:54
Speaker 2: You can't wait.
00:04:55
Speaker 1: It's a Jimmy Brown pack. It's the same. It's the same pack. But I don't know how you do that. I know that's weird, right?
00:05:03
Speaker 2: Smoking on a pack.
00:05:05
Speaker 5: But going for brown, that's crazy.
00:05:09
Speaker 1: That sounds about right up with us.
00:05:11
Speaker 2: Right?
00:05:11
Speaker 1: Yep.
00:05:15
Speaker 5: We thrive off negativity. I see you wearing the pink for Cameron. I got the pink on as well. Shout out to Asia Wilson. Bless me with these new A1s. Shout out to the good people at Foot Locker and Nike as well. Very comfortable shoe. Sold out in under three minutes. Some of y'all couldn't get a pair. Go Asia. And go A1. Those are fine. That's the first colorway that dropped?
00:05:36
Speaker 1: Don't say that again. Don't tell nobody. Yo, the sneaker game really changed.
00:05:41
Speaker 4: You know how it be, bitch. It would be her team color, but the fact that they just.
00:05:46
Speaker 1: The A1s.
00:05:47
Speaker 5: I like those. Available now for some of y'all. Sold out in three minutes. Shout out, Asia.
00:05:51
Speaker 2: Three minutes.

Speaker 1: You know how we do.
00:05:54
Speaker 5: Some were blessed to get a pair. But for all the fans out there, we still got two viewing options for you. Our traditional version, mobile vertical version.
00:06:01
Speaker 1: Pick whichever one you want. Hold up. Don't touch my Asia.
00:06:03
Speaker 2: I got issues. Don't touch my Asia. No, I'm just saying I got issues.
00:06:06
Speaker 5: That's Gil Krypton. Your size, homie. You can wear these to pickleball.
00:06:11
Speaker 2: Thank you, man. I mean, I thought you were going to say two-on-two with pickleball. You know, I don't want you to scoff. Wear your Tatums.
00:06:18
Speaker 5: But for all the fans out there, we still got two viewing options for you. Our traditional version, mobile, vertical version. Pick whichever one you want to watch us. Make sure you support the show. Here's what's cracking in the arena today. The New York Knickerbockers overcame a 20-point deficit to sun the Celtics, take a 2-0 series lead. Are the Celtics going to die by the three, or do they still have life in this series? 25 for 100. Brick, brick, brick, brick, brick. The Thunder set an NBA playoff record en route to a 40-point blowout on the Nuggets to even their series. Which version of Denver and OKC will we see in Game 3? And the Warriors will be without Steph Curry for the next few games as he deals with a hamstring strain. Will Ant-Man accept his coach's challenge and set the tone in game two? Vince issued a challenge to Ant-Man. We will see if Ant-Man responds. But before we get into all that, as always, this show is brought to you by Underdog. Go ahead and download the app. Use promo code GIL. Get up to $ 1, 000 in bonus cash.
00:07:10
Speaker 1: Plus a special pick-em.
00:07:11
Speaker 5: As for tonight, Kenyon has some picks up in his partner pack on the Underdog app. Let's take a look at Kenyon's pick for this evening if we can. Please, Paolo, God bless you. Playoff Jimmy hired 38.5 points, rebounds, and assists. Julius Randle higher, 6.5 rebounds. Jonathan Kaminga.
00:07:29
Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
00:07:29
Speaker 5: Then Kaminga going to get some love in this game. Steve Kerr going to stop hating. Got no choice.
00:07:33
Speaker 1: I hope so. No, Steph. You need some scoring. You got to play me now. Hey, we need some scoring out there, brother.
00:07:39
Speaker 5: Kaminga higher, 12.5 points. We need some aggression. You got to play me now, Stevie.
00:07:45
Speaker 1: Playoff. Jimmy, you already had.
00:07:47
Speaker 5: And we've got Splash Buddy, 3.5 rebounds. Three pointers made in this game. Not a splash buddy holding it down. Not getting held back anymore. Free to do his thing. And we got Nas Reed, higher 6.5 rebounds and assists.
00:08:00
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:08:00
Speaker 5: If you add Kenya's partner pack, you can win up to 38 times your bread.
00:08:05
Speaker 1: I like that. If you're going to do it, you have to do it correctly. All right? You got to go for all the bread. Oh, yeah. We like to win.
00:08:12
Speaker 2: 38 times. 39.8. They cheating, y'all. That's 39.8. Uh-uh.
00:08:24
Speaker 5: They update frequently, Gil, but we asked the chat if they are riding or fading with Kane's picks. 55% of the chat is riding with your picks for tonight.
00:08:30
Speaker 1: Appreciate you. If you like these picks and want to ride with them.
00:08:34
Speaker 3: John the Commuter is only scared because we don't know what Steve Kerr is going to do.
00:08:37
Speaker 1: No, he got to play me. He got to play me now.
00:08:39
Speaker 2: He got to play him.
00:08:40
Speaker 1: Buster?
00:08:41
Speaker 2: Can't do that.
00:08:44
Speaker 1: You got to. You got no choice.
00:08:46
Speaker 5: But if you like these picks and want to ride with them, head to the Underdog app. If you don't have Underdog already, please download the app. Use promo code GIL. Get up to $ 1, 000 in bonus cash plus a special pick-em. And if you can't watch the show live on YouTube, we have an audio version available on Apple, Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts from. So we're going to start this in the Eastern Conference. The New York Knickerbockers. Did y'all see the Knicks-Lakers logo, the Knickers?
00:09:08
Speaker 2: No?
00:09:09
Speaker 1: Y'all seen it? All right. We joined the forces. We combined. Yes, we did. Smoked the Celtics back.
00:09:14
Speaker 5: So after coming back from down 20 in game one, Knicks knew the Celtics would fight to protect their home court in game two after missing a playoff record 45 threes.
00:09:22
Speaker 1: In game one.
00:09:23
Speaker 5: The Celtics took a lot of heat for their strategy. The 45 misses was a playoff record. 60 total three-point attempts, also a playoff record. So how would all of that impact game two? Let's take a look at what happened in Boston last night. Oh, yeah, it wasn't going to make it 25.
00:09:37
Speaker 1: I know.
00:09:38
Speaker 5: So after missing the second half of game two with an illness, Kristaps Porzingis did not start, limited to just 14 minutes in this game. He had eight points and four rebounds in his limited action. Once again, the Celtics controlled the game early, leading 24-13 after the first quarter. In fact, the Celtics never trailed over the first three quarters of this game. Jalen Brown came out aggressive, scoring 17 points in the first half. That momentum did not carry over to this game. second half, though, where he shot one for seven, scored just three points in that half. Jason Tatum struggled, shooting five for 13 from the field and scoring just 13 points. He also contributed 14 rebounds and five assists in his 42 minutes of work. Despite that, the Celtics amassed a 20-point lead and held it with a little over three minutes left in the third quarter, which was later than they held a 20-point lead in game one. Nonetheless, it did not matter. Knicks were able to cut the deficit to 12 points by the end of the quarter. New York got a good offensive game out of Josh Hart, who led the team with 23 points. He also had six rebounds. Carl Anthony Towns had a monster double-double, 21 points, 17 boards, while Jalen Brunson was quiet by his standards with 17 points and seven assists, but came up clutch with nine points in the fourth quarter, and Mikael Bridges entered the fourth quarter scoreless, but once again stepped up in the final frame. Bridges scored all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter, shooting six for 10 in that time. He would also make another key defensive play late in this game, just as he did in game one. We will get to that shortly. Let's enjoy this comeback if we can. So as I mentioned earlier, Knicks trailed the entire game. Celtics led by 16, a little under nine minutes to go. But after that, the Knicks would go on a 19-2 run, culminating with a Brunson fadeaway to give them their first lead of the game at 87-86. With a 159 remaining, it would improve to a 21-2 run after a Brunson layup until Taylor got fouled, hit a couple of free throws, So Celtics took a one-point lead on a driving Tatum dunk with 18.5 seconds remaining. Jalen Brinson was fouled on the following possession, sunk both of his free throws to give the Knicks a one-point lead with 12.7 seconds remaining. Celtics elected not to call a timeout, let Jason Tatum run a high pick and roll. So after a good defense from Mitchell Robinson and O.G. Ananobi, Mikael Bridges came over with the help and got the steal that would seal the game.
00:11:50
Speaker 1: Look at how I hope you're doing, man. Losing his fucking mind. Move! That's why I said the play.
00:12:00
Speaker 4: The coach said that we did the same play and we got a layup. No, you didn't do the same play. The play before that was Al Horford was already down there and came and set a back screen.
00:12:13
Speaker 1: That's what got the switch.
00:12:15
Speaker 4: This Al Horford in the second play didn't run down the court to come set the back screen. He stayed right there and clogged up the The area. That's all he did. It wasn't the same exact play. If it was the same exact play, when he scored, he'd have ran down and then ran up, which creates the mismatch. There, you're just trying to, on a fast break, you're just trying to set a screen right there and stop all momentum.
00:12:37
Speaker 1: Let's watch that last possession one more time if we can, Pyle. Go to the last two. Go to the last two. No, he just stayed there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait, not that one. Go one more before. We got this one clipped off, Gil.
00:12:50
Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
00:12:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sorry. Man, take your time. The first one.
00:13:00
Speaker 5: You can go back to the highlight if you want to see that other play, too.
00:13:05
Speaker 1: Is that the shot you want to take, though, for game? No. Down 0-1. In your home territory. You know Knicks fans lurking in the arena.
00:13:14
Speaker 3: Man, do that shit from the top of the key. That sidestep shit you do, dude.
00:13:21
Speaker 1: That's your money shot. Dude. Oop. No, yeah, go that one. Yeah, that one.
00:13:26
Speaker 5: Go back to that. Yeah, that play, pal, if you don't mind. We got advanced technology here in Gills Arena presented by Underdog.
00:13:33
Speaker 1: Right here. Okay, not enough whoop-whoops from our crew.
00:13:35
Speaker 4: Right, so you see where he's coming from the bottom, which gives the screen.
00:13:40
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:13:40
Speaker 4: Now go back. Now fast-forward more. Fast-forward, fast-forward, fast-forward. This old ass can't run it that fast.
00:13:47
Speaker 1: All right. After this play. After this play. Mm. Why, pal? Did he take it out?
00:13:56
Speaker 4: Nah, Jason Tatum said he's walking. Like, nah, what are you doing? You're supposed to be at least the three-point line on the free throw to come up.
00:14:05
Speaker 3: Or set the screen right now. If you're going to do it, there's nobody to screen. Before, he was high, so he was able to sit at half court. Right here, like, it's... Yeah, there's nobody on him, so you can't. Now you're just clogging. Through holidays, not past half court, like nobody is. You got nowhere to go. Now you're just telling me to get the hell out of the way.
00:14:27
Speaker 2: One foot flat.
00:14:28
Speaker 3: Get the hell out of the way. This is the one foot flat like you said.
00:14:33
Speaker 2: Got the switch you wanted.
00:14:33
Speaker 3: You don't need me to switch. Whatever it is you want, whoever is guarding you is guarding you at this point. I want OG on me. I can shoot over him. Mitchell Robinson arms long as hell.
00:14:44
Speaker 1: Keep going. Go, go, go, go. You know what I'm saying? Keep going. Let's see.
00:14:50
Speaker 4: You can't go right because the runner's still there.
00:14:52
Speaker 2: Keep going.
00:14:54
Speaker 1: Shoot that thing. Should have shot it. No, you got eight seconds left. Should have backed it out. Back it up.
00:14:58
Speaker 2: Just back up now.
00:14:59
Speaker 1: Now you're rushing. Yep. Back up now. Your team, you don't even know where to go. Now you got six seconds.
00:15:05
Speaker 2: It's fine.
00:15:06
Speaker 3: Now you're out of control now.
00:15:08
Speaker 2: You slipped out your hand.
00:15:09
Speaker 1: I mean, I'm terrible. Back up, dude. Go on for a flag. I know where I'm going.
00:15:15
Speaker 4: I'm old and my generation is a little older than this generation. But you might want to go back to what one four flat looks like. One four flat is you motherfuckers go to the baseline all for y'all.
00:15:28
Speaker 1: One, two, three, four. I don't need nobody yet. The titty of the shot.
00:15:33
Speaker 2: All four.
00:15:34
Speaker 4: I can see everybody coming.
00:15:37
Speaker 1: If they decide to help.
00:15:38
Speaker 4: The one person who can't see nobody is the guy who's guarding me.
00:15:42
Speaker 1: He don't know where his defense is at this point. And if my man leave to go, I'm running right behind him.
00:15:48
Speaker 4: Yep.
00:15:48
Speaker 1: Well, Bronson didn't get in Detroit.
00:15:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, Bronson didn't like, so I got, I'm sitting here and I, he don't know where.
00:15:54
Speaker 1: To push me.
00:15:54
Speaker 2: He don't know to push me left or right. There's nowhere to push me.
00:15:56
Speaker 1: I can see everything.
00:15:57
Speaker 4: If your guy comes this way, I can fake and go this way. You're just going to jump.
00:16:01
Speaker 6: Right?
00:16:02
Speaker 4: It's, it's, it's one of those things where, and then besides a few, great defensive players, if I one-line them, they're not going to get above the charge line and take a real charge from being at the bottom.
00:16:19
Speaker 1: You're going to back him up and shoot him to pull up. Pull up.
00:16:22
Speaker 4: What I'm saying is if I'm Tatum and you go, you actually get by him, no one can get in a charge. So now they're just jumping up. They got to challenge your shot. Now if they do step up, you got two dudes in the dunk. You got two dunk-offs.
00:16:35
Speaker 5: So you'll notice the Celtics had a timeout there. Should Joe Mazzulla burn that final timeout once he realized that?
00:16:40
Speaker 2: Nope.
00:16:41
Speaker 1: They had a timeout right there? They had about seven seconds. I don't know. They had a timeout right there? Yeah. They had a timeout remaining.
00:16:48
Speaker 2: I would have called this team.
00:16:50
Speaker 1: For this team, yeah.
00:16:53
Speaker 2: Not for this team.
00:16:54
Speaker 1: No, go back. Here's why. Because they don't know what they're doing. Go back. Go back a little bit.
00:17:02
Speaker 2: Right.
00:17:04
Speaker 1: You don't know your teammates. All right. So you got the switch. Right.
00:17:08
Speaker 2: Al Horford rolls.
00:17:10
Speaker 4: Go. So the fact that Al Horford rolls.
00:17:14
Speaker 1: Right.
00:17:14
Speaker 2: You got it. Like White messes up the drive on the right side.
00:17:20
Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
00:17:21
Speaker 2: And Al Horford.
00:17:21
Speaker 1: So all the left side, they gave you the left side.
00:17:25
Speaker 2: That's why you have to go back. And then you got to go back that way. So it's waste of motion. That's why when you get the switch, you back up, and then you see what your teammates do.
00:17:33
Speaker 5: Right about here, obviously, hindsight 2020, we have the benefit of slow motion.
00:17:37
Speaker 1: Time out. Time out. Yeah, yeah.
00:17:39
Speaker 4: Because then Al Horford runs right into the open spot.
00:17:44
Speaker 2: Time out.
00:17:46
Speaker 6: Right?
00:17:46
Speaker 1: Like playing.
00:17:47
Speaker 4: Like where Jason Tatum wants to go, look where Al Horford goes.
00:17:50
Speaker 1: You bring the defense.
00:17:51
Speaker 2: Once he lost that ball, right, you're able to call time out.
00:17:54
Speaker 1: Because he got by Mitchell. Before that.
00:17:56
Speaker 4: If Al Horford would have– if he would have replaced– Right?
00:18:01
Speaker 1: He picked, and if he would have been a replacement, that's.
00:18:03
Speaker 2: An easy lay.
00:18:05
Speaker 1: Looks like Tate's going to shoot the shot.
00:18:06
Speaker 5: Obviously, he sees Bridget last moment and tries to pass it to Jalen Brown, but suffocating defense for Mikael Bridges.
00:18:14
Speaker 1: Could he jump in the air and call a timeout? Just look at all. I just forgot. Like, if he was in the air and stuck, can he call a timeout?
00:18:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, he can do that if he's going to.
00:18:23
Speaker 1: If you're in the air and you have to shoot?
00:18:25
Speaker 8: Yes.
00:18:25
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:18:26
Speaker 1: Good luck. I mean, it's thinking of doing that.
00:18:29
Speaker 2: You better have some hang time. I mean, but yes, you can do it.
00:18:33
Speaker 1: But great defensive play by Bridges. Now, once I've been on that one leg.
00:18:38
Speaker 2: No, not, no.
00:18:39
Speaker 1: Right there. Okay, yeah, Bridges for that.
00:18:42
Speaker 4: But coming over here. OG stopped this play. Look, he got by Mitchell. OG is what stopped the layup. That still matters. Because of Al Horford.
00:18:51
Speaker 5: Huh?
00:18:52
Speaker 1: Because of Al Horford. Oh, because of Al Horford.
00:18:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, so OG is the one who actually makes the setback.
00:18:58
Speaker 1: See, OG reads it here. He beat. Yeah, he's beat.
00:19:04
Speaker 2: It slipped out of hand. But if Bridges don't come over, it's still not that tough.
00:19:08
Speaker 4: No, but I'm saying that to make him do that is OG.
00:19:13
Speaker 1: And what's him gets the nice little block. Is this a Jason Tatum shot? No.
00:19:17
Speaker 9: No.
00:19:18
Speaker 1: So why would you go to this move?
00:19:20
Speaker 5: Right?
00:19:20
Speaker 1: You don't think he can make that shot?
00:19:23
Speaker 4: That's why I just asked the question.
00:19:24
Speaker 3: That's why I just asked the question for game, right?
00:19:28
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:19:28
Speaker 3: I know guys that got made game when they've been on the team. Guys seen this dude make game. Other people make game when they go to what their fucking money is, right? You're going to your money.
00:19:37
Speaker 4: What you know, hey, I didn't 10,000 fucking.
00:19:41
Speaker 3: Reps at this right here. He ain't working on that shot right there.
00:19:47
Speaker 1: That's an improv shot. right? I think that's a shot.
00:19:51
Speaker 3: That's when you cut and somebody takes something away, then you're like, oh shit, I got this one, right? That's the one leg. You're not really going to that game, dog.
00:19:59
Speaker 1: That's what I said if I was on that one leg. Help, help. You know what's so funny?
00:20:06
Speaker 2: Top of the key.
00:20:06
Speaker 1: That's his shot right there.
00:20:07
Speaker 2: Shea or Lil' Kha.
00:20:11
Speaker 1: Would have stayed grounded on that.
00:20:12
Speaker 9: Yeah.
00:20:12
Speaker 1: They would have went on that one leg.
00:20:14
Speaker 2: Yep, that's what I'm going to say.
00:20:15
Speaker 1: Stayed down and went up and under.
00:20:17
Speaker 4: They wouldn't have fully committed. That's what I'm saying.
00:20:20
Speaker 1: They wouldn't have fully committed. Mitchell Robson would have beat that shit up. Oh, no.
00:20:24
Speaker 4: You got three and a half seconds.
00:20:27
Speaker 3: Because OG contested it. If he go up and under.
00:20:30
Speaker 4: What I'm saying is like, let's say Shea would have tried to get a shot.
00:20:33
Speaker 1: Luka would have.
00:20:34
Speaker 4: Probably got that pass off because he would have up and.
00:20:36
Speaker 1: Under, still had a couple seconds. For game right here, Shea would have jumped into you.
00:20:40
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:20:42
Speaker 1: Absolutely. That's a good one, too. Jump right into it. Pump fade, like you said, that same move. That's a good one. Jump right into it until you steal a shot and maybe an end one. How much time is left?
00:20:51
Speaker 10: I think that shot happened because the missed three the first game. How everybody was talking about him taking a step back three for game.
00:21:00
Speaker 2: I feel like.
00:21:02
Speaker 1: That's his shot.
00:21:03
Speaker 10: That's what I'm saying, but I feel like he tried to drive just to.
00:21:08
Speaker 5: Please. Yeah, to please the people and he... You know, listening to the media too much.
00:21:12
Speaker 1: They didn't listen up to that point. They didn't listen to the media.
00:21:18
Speaker 4: They didn't listen to the media up to this point. At this point, they had missed 75.
00:21:24
Speaker 3: Threes up to this point. Up to this point, 75 threes in two games up to this point.
00:21:29
Speaker 1: I know. So they're not listening to the media.
00:21:31
Speaker 5: When nobody was guarding him, Jason Tatum had that shot in the corner.
00:21:35
Speaker 1: Took his time. Nobody guarding him.
00:21:38
Speaker 2: I'd take that.
00:21:39
Speaker 1: Shot any time, though. That's the past.
00:21:40
Speaker 2: It's Al Horford.
00:21:41
Speaker 1: What's the name? Was it Brunson failed?
00:21:44
Speaker 2: He failed.
00:21:44
Speaker 1: Al Horford was wide open.
00:21:45
Speaker 5: Boom.
00:21:46
Speaker 1: No, I'm not giving that. Al Horford was on bullshit yesterday. He was on bullshit, but he was wide open. Get the guarantee, too.
00:21:52
Speaker 2: Al Horford lost his mind yesterday. Get the guarantee, too.
00:21:54
Speaker 1: That's guaranteed. Stupid shit trickled down.
00:21:58
Speaker 2: It's like they forgot how to... Stupid shit trickled down.
00:22:01
Speaker 1: Yeah, that shot was stupid. No, Al Horford.
00:22:05
Speaker 5: Al Horford 2 for 11 in the game, 1 for.
00:22:07
Speaker 2: 5 from 3.
00:22:08
Speaker 10: Did you see him steal the ball and try to go back up and do a reverse layup or some shit and.
00:22:13
Speaker 1: Couldn't get off the ground and just threw the ball away.
00:22:15
Speaker 4: He couldn't get off the ground for like the last eight years.
00:22:18
Speaker 2: He stole the inbound.
00:22:21
Speaker 1: Everybody wide open for three.
00:22:23
Speaker 5: He went up and tried to reverse and just said, fuck it, and gave the ball up.
00:22:27
Speaker 2: Just gave it up.
00:22:28
Speaker 1: Because that means he was getting ready to go for a layup, and somebody was like, yo! No, dude jumped.
00:22:32
Speaker 2: He didn't think he was going to jump. Yeah, but that play, though, he should have passed out. Yeah.
00:22:36
Speaker 5: So we asked the chat, should Joe Mazzulla have used a timeout on that final possession? 81% of the chat thinks that he should have. So let's talk about this game. New York outscored Boston 30-17 in the fourth quarter. Celtics shot 10 for 40. from three in this game. So that puts them at 25 for 100 from distance in this series. 75 misses are the most missed threes in a two-game span in NBA playoff history. Knicks became the first team in recorded history to overcome consecutive 20-point deficit to win playoff games. So how much credit do the Knicks deserve for their second straight 20-point road comeback against the defending champion Boston Celtics?
00:23:14
Speaker 4: You got to give a credit for being in a playoff game and being down 20 and still be mentally in the game. We've been on teams where you get down 20, my people are like, all right, man, we're going to.
00:23:26
Speaker 2: Headshot this shit down.
00:23:28
Speaker 4: But the fact that they are still fighting, still playing basketball, still going through their sets. They're going to let us back in the game, and when they let us back in the game, we're going to strike.
00:23:40
Speaker 1: When you're down 20 in a playoff game, I think they was like that yesterday, though. You see the fold? They were about to fold. And then Bridges started making some bullshit.
00:23:50
Speaker 5: But question for y'all, does a 20-point deficit still feel the same as it did back when you were playing?
00:23:54
Speaker 4: No.
00:23:54
Speaker 5: Because back in the day, 20 points was like, all right, game's cooked.
00:23:57
Speaker 1: It depends on who you're playing against.
00:23:58
Speaker 3: Now it feels like a 10-point deficit. It's a lot faster now, so there's more possession in the game. There should be more possession in the game, but that three ball is the detriment to teams.
00:24:08
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:24:08
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's... Like 20 back in the day, I mean, you didn't. It depends against who.
00:24:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. Right?
00:24:14
Speaker 4: If it was a locked down defensive team that you coming down running real offense the whole time, yeah, that game's over. Because they not going to, you ain't going to score 20 points in that quarter, damn near.
00:24:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was on the bad side of one in Boston when I was with the Nets. We were up like 23 and they came back.
00:24:33
Speaker 1: What team? My Nets team. Who was you playing against?
00:24:37
Speaker 2: Paul and Twan.
00:24:38
Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. They had a decent team, but no.
00:24:44
Speaker 4: They came back and won out. We closed them out in the next two. I think it was that one. 0-2, 0-3, won the playoffs.
00:24:52
Speaker 1: That was them? In the playoffs? No, it was up. In Boston. 23 and they came back. It was a playoff? Playoff game. I'm talking about you say I was down in the series.
00:25:02
Speaker 4: No.
00:25:02
Speaker 1: Oh, I was about to say. No, we was kicking their ass. Oh, okay. So y'all really thought it was over. They didn't have a chance. They thought they did.
00:25:10
Speaker 3: Back then it was what? All they could do was foul me. All they could do was foul me. That's all they could do. I was busting their ass.
00:25:19
Speaker 2: Yo, this Knicks run, it don't remind you of like how Dallas played in the playoffs when they won? Like they have a chance right now to like, yeah, I mean they have a chance to sweep the champs.
00:25:30
Speaker 1: The Dallas team? With Dirk.
00:25:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a good-ass team. This is a good-ass team.
00:25:36
Speaker 1: No, I mean that there was no underdog. They was a good-ass team.
00:25:39
Speaker 2: That Dallas team was an underdog. No, they wasn't. Nobody had them beating the Miami Heat. Nobody even had.
00:25:47
Speaker 1: Them going all the way.
00:25:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, they did. No, they did not.
00:25:49
Speaker 1: No, not that Dallas team. That Dallas team was an underrated team. Well, in the West. What are you talking about?
00:25:54
Speaker 2: In the West.
00:25:56
Speaker 1: They was good. No, wait. They were favorite in that series.
00:25:59
Speaker 11: They were the favorite against Miami. They wasn't favorite against the Lakers. I think they was number one, no less, was they? Dallas was the number one. Yeah, Dallas was with J.
00:26:12
Speaker 2: Kidd in them.
00:26:13
Speaker 1: Wait, wasn't they favorite against Miami in that series?
00:26:15
Speaker 2: No, hell no. No, they was not.
00:26:18
Speaker 5: Not against Miami. They finished third in the West that year. Third in the West, okay. Beat the Blazers first round, swept the Lakers second round.
00:26:26
Speaker 2: The Knicks finished third.
00:26:27
Speaker 1: Gentlemen swept the Thunder. Gentlemen swept the Thunder. Who was favorite in that championship? Was that.
00:26:33
Speaker 1: They took on the Miami Heat.
00:26:35
Speaker 2: I'm just saying, they have the ability to be able to do that.
00:26:40
Speaker 1: The Lakers won back-to-back, and they got swept.
00:26:44
Speaker 2: I'm just saying, they're in a position right now where they can sweep.
00:26:46
Speaker 4: I think Durkheim would have probably been underdogs, but that team itself was a good team.
00:26:53
Speaker 2: This is a good team, too. The way this team is.
00:26:56
Speaker 1: They play hard. You do draw some solid comparisons, though, between.
00:27:01
Speaker 2: Man, they play hard.
00:27:02
Speaker 1: Bronson can beat Dirk.
00:27:03
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:27:04
Speaker 1: That's all I mean.
00:27:05
Speaker 2: He can beat Dirk.
00:27:06
Speaker 1: He can be clutch.
00:27:07
Speaker 2: I mean, he's the most clutch player. I mean, they got solid guys. They all play hard. I mean, I'm just saying, it's a little comparison right there.
00:27:15
Speaker 3: Can they get out the second round and make it to the East Conference Finals? Then when we start, they.
00:27:20
Speaker 1: On the doorstep.
00:27:21
Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Shit, you'll be hit.
00:27:24
Speaker 1: On the doorstep. You'll beat Boston.
00:27:27
Speaker 9: He were favorite in 2011 finals. He wasn't favorite in OKC, which was... They getting Indiana out of here. Everybody keeps saying getting.
00:27:37
Speaker 2: OKC.
00:27:38
Speaker 1: Was favorite, right? Indiana got some luck going with them, boy.
00:27:42
Speaker 2: They got some luck going. God is on their side, boy.
00:27:46
Speaker 10: But also, I am seeing shit I never seen before in these playoffs. Like the Indiana Cavs shit. I changed it.
00:27:57
Speaker 4: That series is the only one that kind of makes sense because.
00:28:01
Speaker 2: Driving home and shit. Well, yeah, Indiana lost.
00:28:04
Speaker 1: Talking shit in the chat. Because they don't have all their players.
00:28:10
Speaker 5: I don't know if that makes sense. But they was up five, though. Up seven with, I think, 48 seconds remaining in the game.
00:28:16
Speaker 2: That's why I'm talking shit.
00:28:18
Speaker 3: It ain't over until it's falling the fuck apart. The game online is crazy. A lot of teams are folding right now. Real teams won all game ones, first time in NBA history. What's so funny is I can see why Boston lost. I can see why they're losing. If you look at how they got up, they're going to the basket.
00:28:45
Speaker 4: Because you, Jalen, Brown, and Tatum, you guys are the most athletic motherfuckers on the court.
00:28:53
Speaker 1: The only person who can challenge a.
00:28:55
Speaker 4: Shot is Robinson. Other than that, who actually is trying to stop you? Every time y'all went to the basket, there was really nobody there. That was probably Jason Tatum, that was it, 15, 16 seconds left when he drove.
00:29:12
Speaker 1: And then went and dunked it.
00:29:13
Speaker 4: That was probably the easiest shot you done probably had all fucking season on a lot of defenses back there.
00:29:21
Speaker 3: There's nobody equipped. Because they're not leaving the shooters. And they're not leaving the shooters, so you're going to get that all day.
00:29:28
Speaker 1: Just go.
00:29:28
Speaker 2: Who's stopping?
00:29:29
Speaker 1: You want to live and die.
00:29:34
Speaker 4: By something that for the most part hasn't gotten you to 20 point lead like you guys have been shooting really bad that's what that means that you wasn't using it to get the lead you're shooting it is what is helping the other team Taking these quick sidestep threes, these contested threes, these wide open layup, you're right five feet from under the basket, right? Throwing it out, shooting a three that's contested. Those is why other teams is catching up.
00:30:06
Speaker 2: They're hurting guys shooting threes that shouldn't be shooting threes.
00:30:08
Speaker 1: Man, people, everybody get to shoot.
00:30:11
Speaker 10: I mean, when that time, when they coming back, I believe they got to take over the stars, got to get the ball at that time.
00:30:19
Speaker 1: But the teams that's winning, that's what's happening. Yeah, that's right.
00:30:22
Speaker 10: And I feel like with Boston, I don't see that. You know, I see Horford shooting back-to-back three times in a row. And they down, and they making a comeback on a 9-0 run. You know, I feel like you got to give the ball to Jason Tatum or Jalen Brown.
00:30:42
Speaker 1: You got to call a play. You got to.
00:30:44
Speaker 3: You got to call a play specifically for one of them. shoot the motherfucking ball with seven seconds on the shot clock, six seconds on the shot clock, man. Every time down, right? You're getting a good shot. You ain't rushing. You're running a set. You're getting to it. The ball ending in their hands in a spot where you know what they're going to do with it. Either get to the line, give me a good shot. That's what you got to do, man, in these late games, man. Like, y'all up a certain amount of time. Y'all playing the same way you did in the first quarter, man. Like, regular season game number 54.
00:31:15
Speaker 1: Like, no, bruh.
00:31:18
Speaker 4: You up 20, treat it like you got this thing delicate. It's still old school basketball at a certain time.
00:31:24
Speaker 2: Do they coach even run plays though?
00:31:27
Speaker 1: Have you seen them run a play? Have you seen Boston run a play?
00:31:31
Speaker 3: They call sets, but it's the same shit. The toss back, the double screen, you come set this screen to get this mismatch. We want to run this play to get this mismatch and do this pick and roll to do this mismatch. Like, It's all to search out the mismatch so they can get the least defender on the world.
00:31:51
Speaker 2: But that's the problem.
00:31:52
Speaker 1: The mismatch ain't you guys. Right?
00:31:57
Speaker 4: Like, there was this thing called the triangle with Michael Jordan.
00:32:02
Speaker 1: Right?
00:32:02
Speaker 6: Yep.
00:32:03
Speaker 1: And Kobe Bryant.
00:32:05
Speaker 2: I don't know.
00:32:08
Speaker 4: What triangle they was using in the last five minutes for Kobe and Jordan to get the ball every time? But I'm pretty sure that wasn't the same triangle in the first 43 fucking minutes. The triangle was for everybody else but the star. The star is the last five minutes. Boston Celtics offense in the fourth quarter is everybody share the ball still.
00:32:33
Speaker 2: Al Horford took five shots.
00:32:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like that.
00:32:35
Speaker 2: Tatum took five shots.
00:32:36
Speaker 1: I don't like that.
00:32:37
Speaker 4: Jalen took four shots. Pritchard took four shots. White took four. Like, what the fuck are y'all doing?
00:32:43
Speaker 10: The only time you get the ball is to start passing to you in that corner.
00:32:47
Speaker 2: Like, New York Knicks? New York Knicks, two motherfuckers shot that ball. Go look at when the game on the line for them motherfuckers.
00:32:54
Speaker 4: Basically, one person shoot the ball in the game on the line. One had 30 points total. One had 14.
00:33:01
Speaker 2: One had nine.
00:33:03
Speaker 1: That's 23 points, right?
00:33:05
Speaker 4: That means there was only seven more points delegated. One was an offensive rebound. Get off the glass, motherfucker. Get off the glass, right? That's you, big fella, right? That was all of Bigfella's points. Get it off the glass.
00:33:20
Speaker 1: Get it back. And then the.
00:33:21
Speaker 4: Other one was Brunson passing it to Josh. Josh makes a layup. Another Josh layup. So the seven points that the rest of the team scored was three layups and a free throw.
00:33:39
Speaker 1: Other than that, only two people touched the ball. That's the difference. The last five minutes, that was the offense.
00:33:50
Speaker 4: Brunson has the ball. He's going to dictate everything. Let's talk about Jalen Brunson a little bit.
00:33:57
Speaker 2: Why do they have.
00:33:58
Speaker 1: To do, like, isos and shit?
00:34:00
Speaker 5: Sometimes, can't you just throw the ball in the post to Jason Taylor?
00:34:04
Speaker 1: That's what you should do.
00:34:05
Speaker 5: That's what you're supposed to do.
00:34:06
Speaker 10: Jalen Brown, him, Jalen.
00:34:09
Speaker 2: You do that with boys. They turn each other. They turn. Give it to me right here. You have one of them making the pass.
00:34:16
Speaker 3: You have Jason or Jalen making the pass, either one of them, or Derek White because you can't sag off.
00:34:20
Speaker 1: You drop off of me, going to kick it right back out.
00:34:22
Speaker 2: Then you shoot. So that's the three you shoot. That's the three you shoot, right? I'm going to work.
00:34:27
Speaker 4: You motherfucking sag off him. I'll fire that motherfucker over there. Now you go.
00:34:32
Speaker 1: Now five, four.
00:34:34
Speaker 2: Shoot it.
00:34:35
Speaker 1: Now, motherfucker, I throw it in. I run through.
00:34:39
Speaker 2: You shot the ball. Bitch, man.
00:34:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:34:43
Speaker 4: Or I throw it out and I get ready to repost, motherfucker.
00:34:47
Speaker 2: You give it back.
00:34:48
Speaker 1: Don't shoot.
00:34:48
Speaker 4: No, I throw it out and I'm getting ready to turn. And you, the fuck is that? Somebody threw one from the stands?
00:34:55
Speaker 2: Like Denver.
00:34:59
Speaker 4: Are y'all watching Denver's offense in the fourth quarter?
00:35:03
Speaker 1: No, in the fourth quarter?
00:35:05
Speaker 4: I don't give a fuck what's going on, who's on the court. I know Yogesh, if he don't get the rebound, somebody's giving it to him. He's bringing the ball up. He's the point guard. He's the shooting guard. He's the passer to you. We're going to set the screen. Everything is going through the same one man.
00:35:21
Speaker 6: Right?
00:35:22
Speaker 3: They're putting on the ball last game, out of bounds. He the motherfucking decoy. He come to double the team.
00:35:28
Speaker 4: Your best player is supposed to dictate the game. And most of these teams that's had team success all year are losing to teams that the star player.
00:35:40
Speaker 1: You go to Indiana. Hallie is in that motherfucker doing everything. Give it back.
00:35:45
Speaker 2: Yep. Yep.
00:35:48
Speaker 1: He's doing everything.
00:35:49
Speaker 2: Taking the big shots, everything.
00:35:51
Speaker 1: It's just not.
00:35:51
Speaker 4: This random sense of basketball. It's free for all because everybody don't know the same time in possession.
00:36:00
Speaker 2: But that's how they've been playing all year.
00:36:02
Speaker 1: That's the thing.
00:36:03
Speaker 3: That's cool when ain't nobody playing defense, right? Listen, when ain't nobody playing defense, that shit cool. You wide open shooting.
00:36:11
Speaker 4: Now, when each possession means something to the other team, when they taking your shit away, And they like, no, this is not the time for you, man, to be taking fucking contested threes.
00:36:22
Speaker 1: Like, no.
00:36:23
Speaker 2: It's like they forgot how to shoot twos.
00:36:26
Speaker 4: I've never seen so many because they're not those guys.
00:36:30
Speaker 1: Those are not the big.
00:36:31
Speaker 4: See, when there's a run going on, when you look at certain teams. The same one or two players is ending them runs. Now you got people who they done missed three, you done missed three, and this guy just got in the game and he want to shoot the first wide over shot.
00:36:48
Speaker 2: What is wrong with y'all?
00:36:49
Speaker 1: That be the problem.
00:36:50
Speaker 2: They got three guys, dog, that they can put in the post. Drew Holiday.
00:36:59
Speaker 3: You know where I was going with it. You know where I was going with it. Drew, Jalen, and fucking Jason, dog. Y'all need to get your ass on that block, man. If you push off a little bit, get to the line, put the team in the penalty area. Man, there's a lot y'all can do for y'all. Athleticism, size, strength, all that shit still plays a part, man.
00:37:18
Speaker 1: And your skill set, man.
00:37:20
Speaker 10: Above it all, you guys are very skilled.
00:37:25
Speaker 3: You shoot the ball so well, dog. You fake a turnaround jump shot up and under, dog. They going every time.
00:37:30
Speaker 1: You know that post-up.
00:37:34
Speaker 2: Just mellow it. Watch a little bit mellow.
00:37:36
Speaker 1: Post-up, mid-post. Turn your face.
00:37:38
Speaker 2: Jab, jab. He do this, shot.
00:37:41
Speaker 1: Shoot it.
00:37:42
Speaker 2: Pump fake, he heads up, dribble.
00:37:43
Speaker 1: You hounded the ball. It's so simple at certain points of life.
00:37:47
Speaker 4: Your game's supposed to be simple in the last five minutes.
00:37:51
Speaker 1: He ain't doing that. He's doing himself a disservice. He ain't thinking too much. No, they're not.
00:37:56
Speaker 4: They're still playing 43 minutes.
00:38:00
Speaker 1: And therefore so. Too analytic. But then it goes back to coaching, man. Yeah.
00:38:06
Speaker 3: It goes back to coaching, watching film. Listen, man, this is what we need in the last five minutes. This is what we're going with the ball. These are the plays we're going to run. This is what we need to start implementing. But they don't know how because this new age of fucking coaching and playing.
00:38:19
Speaker 2: All right.
00:38:20
Speaker 1: Be stubbornness too. Yeah. Coach don't want to adjust because he... I want to be wrong, too.
00:38:26
Speaker 2: But it's wrong.
00:38:27
Speaker 1: It's wrong. Ghosts don't want to be wrong.
00:38:29
Speaker 2: You lost twice.
00:38:30
Speaker 1: Yeah. You're down, too. Yeah.
00:38:32
Speaker 4: But it's hard to tell a guy who's been successful to want a championship.
00:38:36
Speaker 1: This ain't the same year.
00:38:37
Speaker 2: Right.
00:38:38
Speaker 1: Every year is different.
00:38:38
Speaker 4: It's a different year against a different monster.
00:38:41
Speaker 1: And you're down, too.
00:38:42
Speaker 5: So let's talk about that monster a little bit. Jalen Brunson.
00:38:45
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:38:45
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:38:47
Speaker 1: You want to get that bad?
00:38:48
Speaker 5: I mean, we had enough loser talk. I know you have to do more loser talk. We'll talk losers in a moment. Let's talk about the king of New York. We always believed in you. We always believed in Jalen Brunson. Some out there said, underside guard can't lead team to chips. We don't want to hear that shit. I don't remember none of that shit. Nobody on this couch said it, but Jalen Brunson.
00:39:11
Speaker 4: First of all, people acting like we can't change our mind. Bitch, I can change my mind.
00:39:15
Speaker 5: If I can change and you can change, then.
00:39:19
Speaker 1: We can all change.
00:39:20
Speaker 2: Last year, I can have a new thought this year.
00:39:23
Speaker 1: You can't change my mind. Yes, you can. We're winning now. Right?
00:39:27
Speaker 4: I want to say, Houston wouldn't make a trade. This year, God damn it, don't even look this way.
00:39:34
Speaker 2: Brunson's in town.
00:39:36
Speaker 1: Jalen Brunson. I'm saying you won't. I don't want those killers.
00:39:39
Speaker 5: So, Jalen Brunson, 17 for the game.
00:39:41
Speaker 1: Give me the orange. But nine in the fourth quarter.
00:39:45
Speaker 5: Mr. B, where does Jalen Brunson rank among the top closers in the league right now? It's been flip-flopping from game to game.
00:39:52
Speaker 2: Oh, a closer? Oh, yeah, no, he's number one, and he's the best guard.
00:39:57
Speaker 1: He's back number one. Back number one. Mr. B, you have change. Tyrese Halliburton, you know, did that top spot after hitting the game winner.
00:40:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, they've both been going crazy, but what Jalen Brunson did, you know, putting his team on the back and coming back down 20 and hitting big shots in the clutch, I mean, yeah. Had a chance to go back home. I like where he's at right now. I mean, I like where they both at, but, you know. Both performing very well for their.
00:40:21
Speaker 1: Team, both.
00:40:22
Speaker 2: One is playing like an old school traditional point guard. The other one is playing like a new age guard, you know, how they score. So I love the way they play.
00:40:30
Speaker 1: Both leading their underdog squad.
00:40:33
Speaker 5: Bronson got some old school moves too, though. He got some old school moves.
00:40:37
Speaker 2: But Holly's like, the way he just hits pace is like Steve Nash, like, you know, 18 and 10. It's like a real point guard.
00:40:43
Speaker 1: Control the whole game. Swaggy, where do you rank Jalen Brunson among the top closers in the league?
00:40:48
Speaker 10: Oh, man, since I'm like the jinx right now, I think Jalen Brunson is the best ever.
00:40:52
Speaker 1: Like, New York, period.
00:40:54
Speaker 2: It's like... Whoa, whoa.
00:40:55
Speaker 1: No, you know what I'm saying? New York.
00:40:57
Speaker 2: Think about it. I've been the biggest New York fan.
00:40:59
Speaker 1: No. They're going to win it all. No. You would be the jinx. New York, bro. I am the jinx. Yeah, so you go for the Boston.
00:41:07
Speaker 2: No.
00:41:08
Speaker 1: I don't want Boston to win. Yeah.
00:41:11
Speaker 4: You don't mean that. I don't believe it. You believe in Boston, and then they don't lose, and then us New Yorkers is going to win.
00:41:17
Speaker 1: No, no. I believe in New York and Brunson.
00:41:20
Speaker 4: No, because you want Boston to win, and then that puts one up on us, two up on us for the Lakers.
00:41:26
Speaker 6: But then, man, look, man. See, this is why the Lakers lost. Man, listen, Tatum sent them a package. Tatum, my dog.
00:41:39
Speaker 5: We haven't got to the bottom of something. Why do you want the Celtics to win? You been wearing Tatum's? Tatum is my best friend. That's fair.
00:41:47
Speaker 1: Good man.
00:41:48
Speaker 5: St.
00:41:48
Speaker 1: Louis stand-up.
00:41:49
Speaker 10: I just want nothing but good for him.
00:41:53
Speaker 1: Not the team. But Jalen Brunson is the best ever.
00:41:56
Speaker 2: He sent us New York shoes, man.
00:41:58
Speaker 1: He sent you some shoes. This is sweet. Your booty open for some shoes.
00:42:02
Speaker 2: That's crazy.
00:42:04
Speaker 1: Up that. Wide open.
00:42:06
Speaker 5: You can't put shoes on your booty.
00:42:08
Speaker 4: Bro, that's crazy. Straight fat material right here. Boy, not even a Birkin. Not even Louis Vuitton.
00:42:16
Speaker 2: You know that. You got me some shoes. Not even a Louis Vuitton. None of those. Not some exclusives.
00:42:24
Speaker 4: Just some off-brand drawers.
00:42:26
Speaker 1: Don't call them off-brand.
00:42:28
Speaker 2: Don't call them off-brand.
00:42:29
Speaker 1: Don't talk about my friend.
00:42:31
Speaker 2: No, not Michael Jordan.
00:42:33
Speaker 4: It's the invitation that they give to the Jordan brand players, right?
00:42:37
Speaker 1: Oh, I forgot. You got a little jealous.
00:42:39
Speaker 2: No, no, I'm just talking about that. No, no, no, no.
00:42:42
Speaker 12: I'm just being real. I'm just being real. I'm just keeping it real. They made the real Jordans. Nobody recognize those as Jordans. Those is team shoes. That's the team shit.
00:42:55
Speaker 5: So we asked the chat, is Jalen Brunson the best closer in the NBA? 79% of the chat says yes. We have a lot of New York fans in the chat, though. Shout out to you guys. Hope you guys are living it up right now. You know what I like about the New York fan base? What do you like about it? They wagging real big. Big in the streets.
00:43:08
Speaker 1: It's real big where they just allow anybody to jump on it.
00:43:11
Speaker 2: I like it.
00:43:11
Speaker 1: Ain't gonna cuss, do whatever. Hey! You can do whatever you want. You can do whatever you want. You're a New York fan. They treat you like you've been there forever.
00:43:19
Speaker 5: So let's talk about the Ironman, Mikael Bridges, huge at the end of the game, scoring all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter, coming up with a critical steal to seal the game for the second time in a row. What does Bridges bring to this Knicks squad, Swaggy? The Knicks squad that's currently up 2-0 over the Celtics.
00:43:36
Speaker 1: I said it.
00:43:37
Speaker 2: Fuck Bridges. Damn.
00:43:39
Speaker 1: And I keep saying it. That's how I'm feeling. You mad at him that he... Two times?
00:43:47
Speaker 10: First he punked the niggas Brown out. Then he gonna try to punk my homie and shit the second game?
00:43:53
Speaker 1: One and two. You and your mans.
00:43:59
Speaker 5: Can your person who appreciates high-level defense... What does Bridges bring to this next squad?
00:44:06
Speaker 1: Availability. The best ability.
00:44:09
Speaker 2: Shit.
00:44:10
Speaker 1: Yeah, that is the best.
00:44:11
Speaker 2: They missed one game.
00:44:12
Speaker 3: No, he's just consistent, man. You know, he doesn't get, like I said, he hadn't scored up to that point. Up to the fourth quarter, scored 14 in the fourth. Says a lot about his mind state, that he's in tune to the game. It's not just about scoring for him. He's making a lot of plays throughout the game. Game-winning plays, as you stated. So, yeah, no, you need him. You need his energy. You need his.
00:44:40
Speaker 1: The way he thinks the game and sees the game.
00:44:43
Speaker 3: So, you know, having him out there, man, is, I'm pretty sure for Tibbs is a breath of fresh air knowing that he's been available and going to be available for any game plan that you can come up with, right?
00:44:58
Speaker 1: So for him to just continue to make plays, man, that's what it's about.
00:45:03
Speaker 3: Making game winning plays when the game is on the line, you're putting your team in position to have a chance. And he's playing a major part in the fourth quarter. So, it's dope. 51 minutes game one, 43 minutes game two for Bridges.
00:45:20
Speaker 1: That's a great point.
00:45:20
Speaker 4: But, you know, and this is what a lot of coaches miss when they're overcoaching.
00:45:28
Speaker 2: And 98%.
00:45:34
Speaker 1: Of coaches, McHale would have been benched. Yeah. But he's doing so.
00:45:39
Speaker 3: So just like in the Houston series, when Jalen Green wasn't making shots and stuff, they benched him, but he's not doing anything else to affect the outcome of this game.
00:45:51
Speaker 4: Yeah, but even there, a player has moments, right? There might be, he had 20 in the first, stink it up in the second.
00:46:04
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
00:46:04
Speaker 4: Here is, you're letting your players figure it out. You're watching the body language. Are the shots good? Is he taking a good shot? What does his body language look like?
00:46:11
Speaker 1: Right? So, if I know he's sitting there doing one of these, all right, he's done.
00:46:16
Speaker 4: But if he's sitting there still getting back on defense, still taking them shots, and he ain't hesitant, then I'm not quick to look at what he's doing.
00:46:23
Speaker 2: Because.
00:46:24
Speaker 4: If he's on the bench, you miss those 14.
00:46:27
Speaker 1: Points and all. You miss that part of the game.
00:46:30
Speaker 4: That's why I said with Houston, you didn't even give Jalen Green a chance to show if he's in this game. You know, he missed two shots. He sit on the bench for six, seven minutes. Then he come back in. Then he missed a shot back on. Yeah, that's a non-rhythm type of game. You don't know what he's. What he's going to do, you got to give a little bit more rope to especially your starting five or the people that can score because at any moment, there's one moment that he's on a heater. And you got to recognize it. And Tibbs, Tibbs does it because everybody going to play. You five, get out there.
00:47:09
Speaker 2: For sure. I'm going to work you. I feel like that trade was worth it.
00:47:13
Speaker 1: But isn't that like a good feeling?
00:47:14
Speaker 10: Like, man, like the best teams right now to me is like teams that like get along, friends. You can see they really like get along and like each other out there. Can you imagine having one of your good friends, I don't know how are they best friends or not, but them three being together for so long.
00:47:35
Speaker 5: You got no worries on that team. You're going out there playing. They know each other.
00:47:39
Speaker 10: It's like us playing at 24 right now. I know everything you're going to do, what you can do. All the things you can do is shoot in the corner and shit. And I got to do everything else. You can't run and get back. So we got to do a lot. So you know everything about your friend. So Gil is your quarterback. What teams do you think don't get along well? Well, I'm just saying, like, teams like every team that, like the Lakers, they knew. They don't really know each other. But you got the OKCs. You see they get along. They always doing team stuff. I know that's how the Warriors was.
00:48:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, the pecking order can't be compromised.
00:48:14
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:48:15
Speaker 1: Right?
00:48:16
Speaker 4: And, you know, it's when you have a friendship, when you have, like, teammates that have been there for a long time, everybody knows their roles.
00:48:25
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:48:26
Speaker 1: Right?
00:48:26
Speaker 4: And when your roles is sealed, there's no insecurity of anything that's happening.
00:48:32
Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck who comes on the team.
00:48:34
Speaker 4: Whatever shooting guard you get, if, let's say, Donovan Mitchell comes to New York, Brunson and Hart know they're playing. They know they're going to get their 38 to 40-something minutes, no matter who's on.
00:48:50
Speaker 1: That right there alone helps teams win.
00:48:56
Speaker 4: So it's all about making sure everyone knows their role because if somebody believes that they should be getting more shots or they should be playing more time, that starts creeping in.
00:49:05
Speaker 1: That becomes a problem.
00:49:06
Speaker 2: But that's the problem with Boston.
00:49:08
Speaker 1: No.
00:49:09
Speaker 2: No.
00:49:11
Speaker 1: Boston is, they just.
00:49:13
Speaker 4: No, they know their roles.
00:49:15
Speaker 2: They know their roles. Not in the five minutes.
00:49:17
Speaker 1: They just.
00:49:20
Speaker 1: Do dumb shit sometimes.
00:49:23
Speaker 4: You know, they played against a team last year where they were just way better than, right? And, you know, when I called it out, I was like, no matter what the game plan is, I thought Gafford was the player who compromised that series because his natural instinct is to protect that goddamn rim, right? And if his natural instinct is to run full speed down court to stop that goddamn ball from getting to this basket, and they got a floating five, that is the problem, right?
00:49:55
Speaker 1: Like, if he's playing against a goddamn....
00:49:58
Speaker 4: Shea or any of these high jumpers, old LeBron team where they come in there, he was the perfect guy to stop fast breaks. Well, when you got a floating five, that kind of hurt them in that series. So they were just better than them, you know, overall. Now you're playing against a team that don't play wild basketball.
00:50:17
Speaker 1: They play controlled basketball. You got to be more disciplined.
00:50:21
Speaker 4: And they're not disciplined with their shots.
00:50:23
Speaker 1: Like you're taking.
00:50:23
Speaker 4: 200 points worth of shots coming with fucking 95, 98, 105. Motherfucker, don't shoot no threes. You're going to.
00:50:31
Speaker 1: At least score 140, shooting 45%.
00:50:32
Speaker 4: I don't know what you're... What your numbers and your algorithm is telling you and your analytics are telling you, I'm telling you.
00:50:49
Speaker 1: If you shoot no threes and you shoot.
00:50:51
Speaker 4: 45%, shoot 90-something shots, do the fucking man.
00:50:58
Speaker 1: No threes. We just going, just put your fucking head down.
00:51:02
Speaker 2: Put your fucking head down.
00:51:04
Speaker 1: That's what the 60s did.
00:51:05
Speaker 2: I'm going to foul you out. That's what the 60s did. I'm going to foul you out. So let's talk about five charges.
00:51:12
Speaker 4: How the fuck you score that many points with no three points?
00:51:17
Speaker 1: They shot 100 threes, dog, in two games. 300 points worth of threes. 300 points worth of threes.
00:51:23
Speaker 2: In two games, dog. That's a series.
00:51:26
Speaker 4: That's seven games worth of fucking threes.
00:51:30
Speaker 2: That's two games. No wonder you're down two.
00:51:37
Speaker 5: So speaking of that, a big bodega car at the town was asked what it means that the Knicks.
00:51:41
Speaker 1: Are up to, Oh, heading home. It means going back to the garden up to zip. Uh, it means we, we have to zip. I mean, but it doesn't really mean anything.
00:51:52
Speaker 13: You know, if anything has taught me experience from last year, we were up to, Oh, the same way in both.
00:51:56
Speaker 2: Away games in Denver. And we came home and we left our, our home two games, two, two. So, uh, we can't take anything for granted.
00:52:04
Speaker 13: We got to find ourselves, uh, Executing at a higher level, we can't keep doing these 20-point leads for Boston and hope to come back and win the game. We've got to play better. We've got to chew better. We've got to execute better. We can't start having that kind of Knicks basketball being played down 20. We've got to start the game that way and finish the game that.
00:52:24
Speaker 2: Way, 48 minutes.
00:52:25
Speaker 5: So in NBA playoff history, teams that win the first two games on the road have gone on to win the best of seven series 86% of the time. How should the Knicks approach game three back in the garden?
00:52:36
Speaker 2: It's pressure on them because Boston's still the champions. So if you want to send a message for real, you're going to have to do it game three. I think it's pressure on the Knicks right now. I mean, they're still the champions. They still, you know, I still feel like Boston is the better team, but they've just been collapsing.
00:52:57
Speaker 1: And they've been down 3-0 before, too.
00:53:00
Speaker 2: They have?
00:53:01
Speaker 5: To Miami before and came back, but they lost in the game seven.
00:53:04
Speaker 8: Oh.
00:53:05
Speaker 1: They've been in similar situations. Who? Boston.
00:53:12
Speaker 5: That was down 0-3 to Miami. The year that Miami went to the finals.
00:53:16
Speaker 2: Ain't gonna happen.
00:53:18
Speaker 1: You said it.
00:53:19
Speaker 2: Ain't gonna happen? I know.
00:53:24
Speaker 4: I'm looking too deep in this, but Tibbs, you watch that motherfucker in the fourth quarter.
00:53:32
Speaker 2: Who? Carl.
00:53:34
Speaker 1: Why?
00:53:35
Speaker 2: He said some shit that he shouldn't have said. You look a little nervous.
00:53:40
Speaker 4: He said some shit that don't have nothing to do with this motherfucking team. You brung in a scenario that happened to you last year. Went to Denver 1, 2, and then came back and lost. That was your motherfucking team last year, and you bringing that.
00:54:01
Speaker 2: Kind of thought process here?
00:54:03
Speaker 4: So shit started getting shaky in the third.
00:54:07
Speaker 1: He done.
00:54:07
Speaker 4: He thinking about what happened last year. As soon as you see that motherfucker miss one, three, and four, sub.
00:54:14
Speaker 2: Sub, sub his ass.
00:54:15
Speaker 1: It's pressure on the Knicks, dog.
00:54:17
Speaker 2: No, it's pressure on him.
00:54:19
Speaker 1: The Knicks. The Knicks went up 2-0 on the Pacers last year. I'm not talking about him.
00:54:25
Speaker 2: I'm talking about him.
00:54:26
Speaker 5: But it's a convergence. The Pacers went up 0-2? The Knicks were up 2-0 in the past year.
00:54:31
Speaker 4: I'm talking about what he said, him coming out of his mouth. He thinking about some shit that's last year.
00:54:37
Speaker 1: And lost? I loved it.
00:54:41
Speaker 2: And it was the second round, too.
00:54:42
Speaker 1: Oh, I loved it.
00:54:44
Speaker 5: Let's talk about some positive. I don't want to see Swaggy too happy, so let's talk about some more positive.
00:54:49
Speaker 1: On the Knicks side.
00:54:50
Speaker 5: Before we move on to break down the Celtics side of things, we've got to show some love to Knicks fans. who have been absolutely wilding out after going up 2-0 first. Here's how Knicks fans who were at the game in Boston last night were turning up in the arena after the game.
00:55:05
Speaker 2: Okay, a little Steve.
00:55:07
Speaker 1: A little Steve right there.
00:55:09
Speaker 2: A little Steve. A little Steve.
00:55:11
Speaker 1: A little Steve.
00:55:12
Speaker 2: A little Steve.
00:55:24
Speaker 4: With a full jerry curl.
00:55:29
Speaker 2: That's JC. What's up? Look at Josiah.
00:55:33
Speaker 1: Little Joe.
00:55:37
Speaker 5: So if that wasn't turnt up enough, here's what Knicks fans were like outside MSG after the game last night.
00:55:44
Speaker 1: I swear you're going to enjoy this. Knicks at four! Knicks at four!
00:55:48
Speaker 2: Knicks at four! Knicks at four!
00:55:50
Speaker 1: Somebody got them on their shoulders?
00:55:51
Speaker 2: Fuck. So it's hot. How the fuck did we win that game? We're fucking here. Let's go. Are you? Go on.
00:55:59
Speaker 4: Niggas asked me why I wore the slime green today.
00:56:01
Speaker 2: You rapin' noses, nigga. Fuck Kevin Garnett. Niggas ain't fuckin' for it, baby. Come on. Fuck Mark Wahlberg. Fuck the Boston Tea Party. Niggas don't fuck your dad. Fuck that nigga white. My lord and savior, JB, thank you so much.
00:56:19
Speaker 4: Jalen Brunson, this shot of you, brother, I need it for you.
00:56:23
Speaker 2: Fuck Boston. If a nigga come here from Boston on Saturday... I'm doing a lot. Shit's sweet over here, man. I don't give a fuck about Boston, man.
00:56:32
Speaker 1: We've seen it before.
00:56:32
Speaker 2: Fuck Boston. I love the Knicks. Hey, yo, Jason Tatum. You still sleep with your mother, you bitch-ass nigga? We're in the front Boston park right now. Knicks in four. Real Bulldingo. Fuck out, Oxford. Knicks in four.
00:56:44
Speaker 1: Let's go.
00:56:46
Speaker 2: New York City! Boston City! We coming for you.
00:57:14
Speaker 1: Little Brunson.
00:57:15
Speaker 4: Man, ain't no curfew for little man.
00:57:20
Speaker 1: Get your ass. We got school in the morning. It's a weekday.
00:57:24
Speaker 5: How insufferable will Knicks fans be if they pull out the upset and win this series?
00:57:28
Speaker 2: They might burn down New York.
00:57:30
Speaker 5: How insufferable are you guys going to be as Knicks fans? Long time Knicks fans. See your team.
00:57:34
Speaker 1: Boy, Cat better leave. You see what happened to the last one? Meow.
00:57:42
Speaker 4: You see what happened to Randall? Somebody going to take this heat.
00:57:46
Speaker 2: Hey, man. History repeats itself.
00:57:51
Speaker 1: No, man. Listen, I think New York got... It's aligning right now.
00:57:58
Speaker 2: It is.
00:57:59
Speaker 4: It's aligning right now. The new Pope went to Nova. The new Pope went to Nova. Liberty won last year. I think Knicks is doing something special.
00:58:10
Speaker 2: Okay. I'm just.
00:58:12
Speaker 1: Our East Coast team.
00:58:13
Speaker 2: I'm just saying. They got some of the best fans, though.
00:58:15
Speaker 1: Somebody in jail. King of New York.
00:58:19
Speaker 2: In jail.
00:58:20
Speaker 1: New King of New York.
00:58:21
Speaker 4: All I'm saying is Cam and Mace, New York, they bopping.
00:58:26
Speaker 2: 50 Cent. Joe Buzzin popping. Fuck that. 50 Cent popping.
00:58:32
Speaker 1: Fuck that. Right? Yeah. Yeah.
00:58:34
Speaker 5: I know what I'm saying, man. Gil's Arena presented by Underdog.
00:58:37
Speaker 1: Oh, I'm saying, man. Also popping. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Uh-oh. Double up. That's coordination, Gil.
00:58:43
Speaker 2: Brooklyn, New York. God, the McDonald's All-American. You feel me?
00:58:49
Speaker 1: Huh?
00:58:52
Speaker 4: No.
00:58:52
Speaker 2: Kyle and Anthony right there getting MVPs at games.
00:58:57
Speaker 1: I'm just saying right now. Yeah, they're grieving over there.
00:59:01
Speaker 2: Carmelo got a pocket. He doing his thing. And he's a Hall of Famer this year.
00:59:05
Speaker 1: It's lit.
00:59:05
Speaker 2: They're going to get their ass whooped.
00:59:11
Speaker 1: That's cool. No, no. I just hope the Knicks win, man. It's good for the NBA. I just really hope they win.
00:59:18
Speaker 5: So, Swag, let's talk about your team, the Boston Celtics, the team currently down.
00:59:24
Speaker 1: I don't trip, man.
00:59:25
Speaker 5: 0-2 to the New York Knicks. I heard the news. 75 out of 100 three-point attempts that they've missed in this series. As a reminder, the most in a two-game span in playoff history. Time for the Sox to reconsider their high-volume three-point strategy. Nah. The news that y'all just told me.
00:59:44
Speaker 1: Shoot more. Shoot more.
00:59:46
Speaker 2: 100 more.
00:59:46
Speaker 1: Because they was down last year.
00:59:48
Speaker 10: I mean, they was up last year 2-0 to a light-skinned. And now they have this year a 2-0 to a light skin. And the other light skins always prevail. So they got the same cut, him and Highland Berg. Tatum and Highland Berg got the same cut. Boston at seven. Santa now.
01:00:11
Speaker 5: So much pressure on New York to not repeat last year.
01:00:17
Speaker 1: So if they lose this game, it's over. It's over.
01:00:24
Speaker 2: So you don't think they should get some easy buckets, like some little ice.
01:00:28
Speaker 5: Holes on them? I don't want my players thinking. I don't want my players thinking too much. That's not thinking too much. They ain't thinking.
01:00:36
Speaker 2: That ain't thinking too much. That's just making sure Jason Tatum get the ball.
01:00:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know.
01:00:40
Speaker 2: It's one little simple screen.
01:00:42
Speaker 10: Just focus on the stars more. Get some easy buckets. But us saying they should do things that him do that, fucking game-winner shot. I guess he watching too many fucking podcasts and shows and all that and telling him why he shot that three.
01:00:59
Speaker 2: Can I get a napkin?
01:01:04
Speaker 1: Remind me of you.
01:01:06
Speaker 5: Let's take a look at the Celtics in game two, specifically from the 840 mark in the fourth quarter to 18 seconds remaining. I just want to just for our own recollection sake. Not Tatum.
01:01:22
Speaker 1: Damn! You got the Cold Streak video, if you don't mind. Y'all doing this shit on purpose. Y'all trying to fuck the boss and stuff. Brandon's trying to break him up. The Cold Streak?
01:01:32
Speaker 2: Somebody leaving next year.
01:01:34
Speaker 1: Hey, what? Why Pazinkas don't play? Nice. Why Pazinkas wasn't in the fourth quarter? He was sick, right, Eldridge? Look at that. Good form. Ooh. Where was Pritchard at?
01:01:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, he was shooting. He was shooting good.
01:01:50
Speaker 1: Look at that.
01:01:51
Speaker 5: Oh. Held his follow through. Oh, just close the window. Look at this one. That might go in.
01:01:58
Speaker 1: Oh, did not. I mean, just look at who's shooting shots in the fourth. Look at that. This one. I mean, that was fine. I like that.
01:02:04
Speaker 2: Okay, cool. Oh, shit.
01:02:06
Speaker 1: That was close. That was close. What the fuck is this hero doing, man?
01:02:09
Speaker 4: Watch.
01:02:09
Speaker 1: Derek White. Oh. That's what I said. Look at everybody. Great rotation. Oh, damn. Look at this score. Look at everybody. Here we go. That's Tatum.
01:02:18
Speaker 2: Look at this.
01:02:18
Speaker 1: Derek White again. He's Olympian. Drawing the ball, man. Front of the rim. It got clutched a little bit more on it. Right there. Pass it to him. Look how wide open he is.
01:02:26
Speaker 2: No, you're not passing that, Nick?
01:02:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to pass it.
01:02:28
Speaker 2: Nah, I need a shot.
01:02:30
Speaker 1: That's what it seems. It's like everybody needs a shot. Okay, Jay LeBron. No, he going to do it.
01:02:35
Speaker 8: Oh.
01:02:35
Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
01:02:36
Speaker 1: Finals MVP last year. No? Tatum got this one. Ooh. Almost.
01:02:44
Speaker 2: Foul.
01:02:45
Speaker 1: Come on, bro. I like that. Foul. Call a foul.
01:02:48
Speaker 2: They called a foul for them. Call a fucking foul.
01:02:51
Speaker 1: Foul! I don't like that shit.
01:02:53
Speaker 2: Come on, man. Another foul! Three fouls in one play.
01:02:58
Speaker 1: All those threes, they had great forms.
01:03:00
Speaker 2: I don't like that last one. I don't like a lot of those.
01:03:03
Speaker 10: No, y'all didn't see the Horford fucking layups, too. He had more than just them shots right there.
01:03:13
Speaker 5: So let's talk Jason Tatum so for the series against the Knicks Jason Tatum's averaging 18 points per game shooting 29% from the field 25% from three here are his fourth quarter stats for the series so far.
01:03:28
Speaker 4: Fourth quarter stats so he's only scored six points in two in this series fourth quarter.
01:03:37
Speaker 2: Is that just last night or that whole game.
01:03:39
Speaker 4: One for 20 or is that one for 11 because I know y'all don't one for 11 So, one for 11 and nine of them is.
01:03:46
Speaker 1: Threes.
01:03:47
Speaker 5: Three for nine from three-point. So, 11 field goals because three-pointers are field goals. So, that's what I was trying to say.
01:03:54
Speaker 1: 11 total field goals.
01:03:54
Speaker 4: So, he's taking 11 total shots in two fourth quarters?
01:03:58
Speaker 5: Two fourth quarters combined in this series. Six total points. Oh, he got three total points. One for 11 from the field.
01:04:03
Speaker 2: No, he got that.
01:04:04
Speaker 1: That dunk was his only basket?
01:04:06
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:04:08
Speaker 1: In two games?
01:04:10
Speaker 10: He got two... Well, how'd he get six points? He got free throws?
01:04:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, probably free throws. There are other ways to score.
01:04:15
Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
01:04:17
Speaker 1: I mean, so. No, Nick.
01:04:19
Speaker 2: Hey, Nick, so I feel like them losses is on him.
01:04:22
Speaker 1: What the fuck? How else would he go? You got to stop getting haircuts. No. You got to stop getting haircuts.
01:04:27
Speaker 2: No more haircuts.
01:04:29
Speaker 1: No more haircuts for Jason Taylor.
01:04:31
Speaker 4: You're talking about how many shots he's taken in both fourth quarters?
01:04:36
Speaker 1: Five and six, probably. Four. Four.
01:04:38
Speaker 2: Him. Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
01:04:40
Speaker 1: For the team. Think about it. He's only taking 11. The number one option.
01:04:46
Speaker 4: Your number one option is taking 11.
01:04:49
Speaker 2: What the fuck? Where's all the other shots going? They shoot.
01:04:52
Speaker 5: They're the first in the rock, as we saw in that class, personal open shoot.
01:04:55
Speaker 1: Derek White was shooting him. How many shots did Brown take in the fourth? Y'all didn't do that one? They just want to pick on Jason Taylor. They just want to target him. Because I want to see how many shots. If he had had four, he's the star of the team.
01:05:09
Speaker 4: I want to see how many shots each of those five have taken.
01:05:13
Speaker 1: Because I'm pretty sure. It's about even.
01:05:15
Speaker 4: Because if you're talking about 50 shots has been taken in the fourth quarter, he has 11.
01:05:21
Speaker 1: That means. Everybody's at 11.
01:05:22
Speaker 2: And that's the problem.
01:05:24
Speaker 1: Everyone's at 11. You're the star player. Go get the ball.
01:05:26
Speaker 4: So if Jalen Brown has taken 17 and he's two for 17.
01:05:29
Speaker 1: Jalen Brown has taken seven shots. In the two quarters.
01:05:35
Speaker 2: Seven?
01:05:36
Speaker 5: Yes, he was 0 for 4 last night, 1 for 3 in game one.
01:05:39
Speaker 1: That's why y'all motherfuckers down 2-0. Give me another name. How many shots does White have?
01:05:45
Speaker 2: I think White probably shot more than him.
01:05:47
Speaker 1: That's why they down 2-0. Derek White, 7 shots.
01:05:50
Speaker 5: 1 for 4, game one, 0 for 3, game two.
01:05:53
Speaker 2: So he shoot more than.
01:05:56
Speaker 1: No Peyton Pritchard slander. No, I'm just saying. That's probably his first time in the fourth quarter.
01:06:00
Speaker 4: No.
01:06:00
Speaker 1: Peyton Pritchard has taken five shots. Yeah.
01:06:04
Speaker 2: Al Horford.
01:06:05
Speaker 1: Pritchard was two for four last night. So he didn't shoot in the first game? He was 0 for 1 in that game.
01:06:10
Speaker 2: Okay.
01:06:11
Speaker 1: Al Horford. Here we go.
01:06:13
Speaker 5: Go ahead and say it. Six total shots. He didn't take any shots in the fourth quarter of game one. Six field goal attempts in game two.
01:06:23
Speaker 1: He shot six shots yesterday for a quarter. I told y'all that's why they came back. I told y'all that's why they came back. Turnovers.
01:06:31
Speaker 5: Drew Holiday took five shots in game one, zero shot attempts in game two. They was down, what, 13? And he shot six times. Nick's taking her out the ball like that. If Horford didn't shoot yesterday.
01:06:46
Speaker 1: We'd win. So Jason Tatum's at 11. No, no. Don't take shots. It was 0 for something. They all was 0 for something. They had a total of what?
01:06:55
Speaker 2: 17 points.
01:06:56
Speaker 4: Some 0 for 6. Come on, man. You don't supposed to shoot. So they ain't got what then? They made what? If you don't make one, you don't shoot. So you're talking about Jason Tatum's, that layup we seen at the end with his only basket.
01:07:10
Speaker 1: In the fourth quarter. And then Browns made one basket also.
01:07:13
Speaker 2: It's hard out here.
01:07:15
Speaker 1: In two fourth quarters? I'm not here for a pimp, as they say.
01:07:20
Speaker 2: Can y'all show all the shots in that forequarter?
01:07:23
Speaker 1: Yeah, hold on. What did Al Horford do to you? You just keep bringing him up in this conversation.
01:07:27
Speaker 2: It made me fucking mad.
01:07:29
Speaker 1: You just keep bringing him up. What are you doing to you? Run that commercial, Paolo.
01:07:33
Speaker 4: Your two best players got two buckets in the fourth quarter.
01:07:37
Speaker 1: You don't shoot six times.
01:07:39
Speaker 2: I don't think it's on Horford. It's on Tatum and Brown.
01:07:43
Speaker 1: Y'all the best players. Go get the ball.
01:07:45
Speaker 2: In the fourth quarter, though. That's one game.
01:07:49
Speaker 1: He didn't shoot the first game. But 0 for 6 in one quarter? You don't shoot after two shots. If you don't make it.
01:07:58
Speaker 2: Cool.
01:07:58
Speaker 4: But the fact that the other two is not shooting. What is Brunson in the 4-4? You pass it to him. Combined in these two games, let me see. How many shots does he have in game one and game two? How many buckets? So Jalen Brunson, game one, three for five from the field.
01:08:17
Speaker 1: In the fourth. He was three for three from three in that game.
01:08:19
Speaker 5: He misses the beginning of the fourth. Three for six in game two. He was one for four from three in that game. He don't start the fourth.
01:08:26
Speaker 2: How about Mikael since he starts the fourth?
01:08:30
Speaker 1: He don't ever leave. He don't start the fourth.
01:08:32
Speaker 2: He don't ever leave.
01:08:34
Speaker 5: So Mikael Bridges, 0 for 2 game one, 6 for 10 game two.
01:08:38
Speaker 1: He had all 14 of his points. He started the comeback. And then Hart.
01:08:43
Speaker 2: Because I know Cat ain't taking shit.
01:08:45
Speaker 1: Meow.
01:08:46
Speaker 5: Josh Hart only took one field goal attempt in game one.
01:08:48
Speaker 1: He was 0 for 1 and then 1 for 3 in game two. Oh, man. Shit has changed.
01:08:56
Speaker 2: Y'all in trouble, Nick. Oh, Hartford. Y'all in trouble, dog. Your star player don't even.
01:09:04
Speaker 1: As a Knicks fan.
01:09:05
Speaker 5: So we brought up Tatum. He did take the most shots amongst that Celtics crew. As a Knicks fan, moving forward.
01:09:12
Speaker 4: When Boston comes to town, they gotta stay at a hotel. They gotta stay at a hotel. I'm saying, but not saying it shouldn't be easy at the hotel.
01:09:25
Speaker 1: Right. It shouldn't be easy. I remember Sacramento, you know, Kobe was getting food poisoning. You know what I mean?
01:09:32
Speaker 2: Oh, come on.
01:09:33
Speaker 1: We don't encourage things like that here on Gil's Arena.
01:09:36
Speaker 4: I'm saying, you know, like college, you know, fire alarms should go off every hour on hour, every 35 minutes, right? If they do order food, don't bring the shit up there, right? If Uber, if you got some Uber accounts and you see them niggas Uber's name, do not deliver this shit, right? If you see them come in, You should have a wanted. These guys, if any of them come in, and I'm pretty sure you should do the ball boys, any staff, don't deliver the food.
01:10:05
Speaker 1: Don't give them shit. Do you think they have their.
01:10:07
Speaker 5: Own fucking food?
01:10:08
Speaker 1: They should bring their own fucking food. No, hell no. Yeah.
01:10:11
Speaker 2: They got their own name on their, what we call it, on their room.
01:10:15
Speaker 1: No, not on the room.
01:10:16
Speaker 2: As soon as they get in there, everything should be delayed.
01:10:19
Speaker 1: Everything delayed. Everything delayed.
01:10:22
Speaker 10: You know the difference between.
01:10:26
Speaker 1: Athlete's food and a regular folks food? Motherfucker order two.
01:10:29
Speaker 2: Steaks and some mashed potatoes, some shit like that.
01:10:33
Speaker 1: Nick ain't never had to use alias.
01:10:35
Speaker 2: Damn.
01:10:37
Speaker 1: Man, where'd that come from? Nick Young. He was surprised that y'all, the dudes did that. Yeah, it was Nick Young. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, roomless. Nick Young. Y'all know I'm more famous, more famous than all y'all, man.
01:10:50
Speaker 2: It was Nick Young. You know that, right? Your name was Nick Young. You know who I am. You didn't have an A-list.
01:10:54
Speaker 1: I'm a star, right? You know that, right? Nick Young.
01:10:57
Speaker 2: You didn't even put Swaggy P yet.
01:11:00
Speaker 1: You didn't put Swaggy P yet.
01:11:02
Speaker 2: But you didn't put Swaggy P yet. Your ladies was not Swaggy P. It was.
01:11:06
Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, no, no. I was a rookie then. But when I was a Laker.
01:11:12
Speaker 5: So we asked the chat, will the Celtics win this series? Only 29% of the chat believed that they would win this series. 71% said it's time to smoke the Celtics pack.
01:11:21
Speaker 1: All New York need is one.
01:11:23
Speaker 2: All you gotta get is one game.
01:11:26
Speaker 4: One game, it gives you a 96% chance of winning the series.
01:11:30
Speaker 1: So let's keep it moving, though.
01:11:32
Speaker 5: Speaking of the Celtics, Hall of Famer, former Celtic media personality Paul Pierce was feeling very confident in the Celtics entering game two. In fact, he decided to make an unsolicited declaration on speak on Fox Sports yesterday.
01:11:45
Speaker 7: How confident are you?
01:11:49
Speaker 4: If the Celtics lose game two at home, I promise you, I'm walking here tomorrow.
01:11:55
Speaker 2: I'm walking here. I'm walking here 15 miles. I'm walking here. I don't know. This is your friend. In my row. Get your friends. No shoes on.
01:12:06
Speaker 1: Somebody save him. Bare feet. No. If what?
01:12:09
Speaker 2: If the Celtics lose tonight. Oh, my God. Oh, don't do it, Paul. I'm walking. Paul, I'm telling you right now.
01:12:15
Speaker 1: Take this serious.
01:12:16
Speaker 2: No, I'm taking this serious.
01:12:19
Speaker 5: So after the game, he posted a screenshot. It's not 15 miles he had to walk of the 20 mile walk. He willingly volunteered for, as you can see, he didn't include everything, but he's right near Gil's Arena, presented by Underdog. Right down the street from the arena. That's a very long walk. You get to walk by the Getty, the beautiful 405 freeway. I get to see Encino, you know, Mulholland, all the way to Central City. And this morning, Pierce was a man of his word, or at least so this video claims, taking the walk to work. He chronicled his walk on his IG story.
01:12:57
Speaker 1: This is crazy, dog. I can't believe this.
01:12:59
Speaker 2: See, he's got me out here like this, bro. I'm sweating.
01:13:04
Speaker 4: So I'm about like four miles in right now.
01:13:09
Speaker 2: So I think I got like another 16 miles.
01:13:11
Speaker 1: I've been going.
01:13:12
Speaker 4: For about an hour and a half right now.
01:13:16
Speaker 1: All right, I'll.
01:13:17
Speaker 2: Keep going, baby.
01:13:19
Speaker 1: No matter my word, though.
01:13:22
Speaker 2: All right, I'll holler at y'all.
01:13:29
Speaker 1: I thought Ventura at first, but it smells fishy. I'm just going to be honest. It smells.
01:13:35
Speaker 5: Because a four-mile into Ventura, it would put them right in the Encino area. I'm very familiar with that area.
01:13:43
Speaker 1: For sure. That Vons.
01:13:47
Speaker 5: But you respect Paul Pierce for standing on his word, walking to work after the Celtics lost game two.
01:13:53
Speaker 1: And you don't believe he did it.
01:13:55
Speaker 2: I'm going to say, did they show the finish?
01:13:56
Speaker 1: Just the walk down with Netka.
01:13:58
Speaker 4: I mean, the fact that he had to get up that early and even do content to.
01:14:02
Speaker 1: Say he walked. He's still walking, man. Oh, he's still walking.
01:14:07
Speaker 5: Ginger Pace, if you come with the power walk, you can get it down to about six hours, 15 minutes.
01:14:14
Speaker 1: That's a sick bet. I see your face. I get it.
01:14:20
Speaker 3: It's good for content. Shout out to Paul Pierce for his Did not show his feet.
01:14:26
Speaker 1: Of course not. He's not walking barefoot for one. No glass shards.
01:14:31
Speaker 2: Come on, man.
01:14:31
Speaker 1: For two, he's not walking. He ain't sweating.
01:14:33
Speaker 3: For him to be walking as long as he said he's been walking, he's barely fucking sweating.
01:14:37
Speaker 1: Thank you, K.
01:14:38
Speaker 3: So let's look at the details here, people. Let's not do that. Let's not be naive.
01:14:44
Speaker 1: Yeah.
01:14:46
Speaker 2: I mean, yeah.
01:14:47
Speaker 5: Oh, Steve, was he barefoot? He had slippers on. That is not barefoot. Slippers are not barefoot. His feet were not bare.
01:14:58
Speaker 4: I'll give him the credit for waking up and even every hour or closer, that means you got to get out the car. You literally have to actually sit around for eight hours doing nothing.
01:15:11
Speaker 1: Sitting in the car mad as a motherfucker. Just, all right, hour left.
01:15:15
Speaker 2: Here we go, y'all.
01:15:16
Speaker 1: He going to find a bar.
01:15:17
Speaker 3: He going to pull up at the bar, go in there for an hour and a half, come.
01:15:21
Speaker 4: Out, Because I can tell you this, here in Ventura, where he lives, the first four hours would have been through Encino neighborhood. It wouldn't even have been street and buildings. You have to go up the back way to get to Gettysburg, so you're going up the hill so you wouldn't be on the freeway.
01:15:42
Speaker 5: So according to our producers, he just posted a video of him arriving like six minutes ago. But it's 13 minutes long, and frankly, we just had the time.
01:15:49
Speaker 1: To go through it. Arriving to work. Arriving where? I believe the Fox lot to do his show. Eight hours? Eight hour walk? But it was dark when it started. It was dark when it started.
01:16:01
Speaker 5: That was in the first picture.
01:16:03
Speaker 1: Well, if Jesus can do it, Paul Pierce can do it. It was dark when he started. It was like four. Like four or five. It was the same.
01:16:11
Speaker 4: Nigga that left the game in a wheelchair, y'all. No, I mean, but that's what I said. I give him credit for it. Because, I mean, you got to really be up doing a content for this long. You know what I mean? So I'm going to give him credit for that. Do you think he just got hotels along the way? I know he's not walking eight hours because we live in the Valley.
01:16:28
Speaker 2: And I know where you got to walk.
01:16:30
Speaker 1: Right.
01:16:30
Speaker 4: Or everybody being just like, you know, we got some stupid motherfuckers here.
01:16:33
Speaker 1: We'll be.
01:16:35
Speaker 2: Here.
01:16:36
Speaker 1: We'll be watching.
01:16:36
Speaker 2: I see Paul Pierce right there.
01:16:38
Speaker 5: He should have had the Forrest Gump walk with all the other Celtics fans following him. They take their walk of shame. To where I had bodyguards with him. I mean, you know, you're not going to go down Ventura. I'm tired now. I think I'm going to go home. So most of his video, it would have been neighborhood. He would have had a crowd of people. He was Paul Pierce.
01:16:54
Speaker 2: Yep.
01:16:55
Speaker 1: Everybody was running with him. Niggas been walking with him. Curl was way too intact.
01:16:59
Speaker 10: At his age, he can't walk that long. It's like Ken walking. And you, y'all knees give out after what?
01:17:04
Speaker 4: I got 20 minutes in you, and I'm dragging my shit.
01:17:07
Speaker 1: I'm good. I had to throw you in there because you said some bullshit.
01:17:10
Speaker 5: And for everybody saying that, the end I was just on, it's a lot of uphill. You got to traverse up to 405 and come back down. You're not supposed to say it like that. You said your city.
01:17:17
Speaker 1: Listen, one thing, wait. Where do you have him at?
01:17:19
Speaker 2: One thing for sure. He could have took the hike across.
01:17:22
Speaker 1: I don't have to think of anything. You're going to give me all the material I need. Trust me. He could have hiked across the hills.
01:17:28
Speaker 4: But as I said, if you're going through the hills, you're in their neighborhood.
01:17:32
Speaker 1: Exactly.
01:17:32
Speaker 5: But you're in nature. You're off of Havenhurst. But you're in nature for most of that. You're in the mountains.
01:17:40
Speaker 4: So they have a route where he was supposed to take.
01:17:43
Speaker 1: And that route is all neighborhood. A lot of uphill. It's very uphill. So you're talking about Havenhurst.
01:17:50
Speaker 4: It's like the back way to Gettysburg or Gettysburg.
01:17:53
Speaker 2: So you don't have to take the freeway.
01:17:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, you know the move. You can get here without touching a freeway.
01:17:57
Speaker 2: That's a fact.
01:17:58
Speaker 3: Back to Bob Mulholland and all that. Yeah, that's motherfucking heels. It's up to come back down and go back up.
01:18:07
Speaker 5: You're not taking Ventura. That's what I'm saying. You wouldn't take Ventura as the route. A part we call cap.
01:18:12
Speaker 2: No, but like you said, good content, though. That's good content.
01:18:14
Speaker 1: I mean, that's what I'm saying. That means he had to wake up. He would have been better off walking down Sepulveda. He would have been better off fooling us and walking down Sepulveda. I believe he did it.
01:18:23
Speaker 5: They should have got him on the freeway walking up the floor. I believe Paul Pierce. I believe he did it.
01:18:28
Speaker 1: Man, please. Man, please.
01:18:30
Speaker 2: Seven hours of.
01:18:31
Speaker 1: Video, it looked like the same building. No, hell no.
01:18:33
Speaker 2: It looked like the same building.
01:18:35
Speaker 1: Don't do him like that. Don't do Paul like that. I'm just saying, it looked like the same building. He walked at least four miles at least. Hell no.
01:18:40
Speaker 2: At least four, you think?
01:18:41
Speaker 1: No. He's in shape, man. He's a good man. He's an honest good man. He's an honest black man. I believe in that, brother.
01:18:48
Speaker 2: Okay.
01:18:48
Speaker 1: Do you believe? in the Celtics, Waggie?
01:18:51
Speaker 2: Of course.
01:18:52
Speaker 1: All right. We will find out. I just like the fact they made that motherfucker wake up at 4 o'clock. That's it. 4 o'clock. God damn it. Do your content. So let's move on to the Western Conference.
01:19:01
Speaker 5: So after the Nuggets stole game one at OKC, thanks to Aaron Gordon, second game winner this postseason, Shea Gildress Alexander said his team would see what they were really made of. Thunder went back to the drawing board after Nikola Jokic became the fourth player in NBA history to drop a 40-25 game, which he didn't gain one in the series.
01:19:18
Speaker 1: So OKC entered.
01:19:19
Speaker 5: This game having not lost back-to-back home games since November of 2023. This game also marked the return of the extender Scott Foster, who's been out since mid-March while dealing with a calf injury.
01:19:31
Speaker 1: Let's take a look at the highlights.
01:19:33
Speaker 5: So Jamal Murray dropped the first bucket of the game to give the Nuggets the 2-0 lead. That was the only lead that they would hold the entire game as OKC dominated this one for an entire four quarters. Score was 87-56 Thunder at halftime. The 87 points set a new halftime NBA playoff record. It also tied the record for most points in any half in playoff history. The 1978 Bucks scored 87 points in the second half of their Game 3 win over the Nuggets, led by Marcus Johnson's 35 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 blocks. But let's get back to this game. The largest lead in the game was 49 points. SGA responded exactly how an MVP level player does in these situations. He had 34 points on 11 for 13 shooting, 85% from the field. He made all 11 of his free throws, had 8 assists compared to 0 turnovers. He was also plus 51 in his 30 minutes of work. That's the highest plus minus. in a game since play-by-play stats were tracked in the playoffs starting in 1989. Eight Thunder players scored in double figures. Chet Holmgren bounced back from the tough miss free throws late in game one to post a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jalen Williams added 17 points and 7 assists. And on the Denver side, the Joker had 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. However, he fouled out late in the third quarter after drawing offensive fouls on consecutive possessions.
01:20:49
Speaker 1: Looked like he did not want to be in the game anymore. Time to pack it up. Go home.
01:20:53
Speaker 5: Get back to Denver, play with his horses. So Russell Westbrook led the Nuggets with 19 points off the bench. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon were the only other Nuggets in double figures. The Thunders won this game 149-106. That's the most points in a playoff game in Thunder franchise history. Tenth most all time. I believe eighth most for a game that did not include overtime. What was the most impressive about the Thunder putting belt to ass in game two?
01:21:22
Speaker 2: That they talked about their mistakes that they made in game one. They let the game slip away, and then they come back and then win big. And like they co-said, Denver, they just got punked. So it's clear, it's kind of clear to me that, I mean, OKC is still the better team. So game three is going to be a big game going into Denver. Just the fact that, you know, you just blew their asses out and, you know, you gave up game one. So I'm really looking forward to game three.
01:21:52
Speaker 1: And were you not impressed by the Thunder's performance in game two?
01:21:54
Speaker 2: No, they did what they had to do. You got to win.
01:22:01
Speaker 3: No matter if it's by one or by 40, whatever it is, they needed to win. They came out, it was an impressive win, taking nothing from it, but it was a must win. You don't want to go to Denver down two games. That's just not to that team, and they're not playing against Nicola. You don't want to go back down two games.
01:22:20
Speaker 5: Does it almost work against the Thunder, though, to smack the Nuggets like that? Now the Nuggets feeling some type of way coming back to Denver, want to try and send a message back for them.
01:22:29
Speaker 3: They just need to win. They don't like sending messages and all that shit.
01:22:33
Speaker 1: Man, listen.
01:22:34
Speaker 3: Like I just said, by one or by 40, it doesn't matter at this point. As we've proven, there's been a lot of close games. Man, it goes down as a W. No matter how you get it done, it goes down as a W.
01:22:47
Speaker 2: So.
01:22:48
Speaker 3: OKC as a young team, we didn't expect them to do anything but what they did, to come out and play hard and compete. At home, they played this way. They ain't lost consecutive games since 23, like you said. November of 2023. So, yeah, and that's the beginning of the season, too. So that's right in November of 2023 is the beginning of the season. So, no, this is what I expected them to come out and do, compete, play harder, correct their mistakes, like Brandon said, go watch the films.
01:23:18
Speaker 1: And they young and energetic, man. They got pride. So. Yes, they do.
01:23:23
Speaker 3: But Denver did what they were supposed to do. On top of that, all that I said, Denver did what they were supposed to. They went in and got a game, man. Go ahead, Gil. Now you're playing with house money going home. So let's see what game three entails.
01:23:34
Speaker 5: I know you're focused on the Knicks celebrating the big win to take it to a lead. But on this Nuggets Thunder front, Thunder smacking the Nuggets.
01:23:43
Speaker 1: I think Boston needs to watch them a little bit.
01:23:46
Speaker 4: Because both teams made the same amount of threes, about 15 to 16.
01:23:50
Speaker 2: The difference was.
01:23:54
Speaker 4: OKC make layups at a very large rate.
01:23:59
Speaker 2: They attack the basket. They're diving.
01:24:02
Speaker 4: They're using their athleticism to get to the bucket. I think Denver had 18 twos at 15 threes, 18 twos. I think OKC had 30 twos? 34 twos.
01:24:24
Speaker 2: 34 twos. Right?
01:24:30
Speaker 4: You got 15, 34 twos. That's the difference of this game. Points in the paint.
01:24:36
Speaker 1: And you're the bigger team compared to them. I think 34, 53, if I'm not mistaken. 34, they're 53 twos. Yep. Yeah, it's just, you know, Attack him, yeah. 34 of 52, right? 34 of their 52 shots.
01:24:50
Speaker 2: Come on, man.
01:24:51
Speaker 1: 146 points.
01:24:52
Speaker 4: Let me make sure I'm on the math.
01:24:56
Speaker 2: Let me double check.
01:24:57
Speaker 1: I'm fucking up. I think 34 of 53 if I'm not mistaken.
01:24:59
Speaker 2: Whatever it is, it's, man. What, 34 of 53?
01:25:00
Speaker 1: I got it. Yeah, so 34 of their 50. 34 for 53 from 2. 16 from 36 from 3. So that's the way it should be. Yep.
01:25:19
Speaker 3: If you shoot 35 threes a night, you can say what you want about it. Shooting 35 threes a night is a lot.
01:25:25
Speaker 10: And Jalen Williams, or Shea, just Shea, period. Shea gets it done, bro. He only took two threes. I know, but he responds to all the criticism. Y'all can't stop me. If he's hot, he shoots more. But if he's hot, he shoots more from three. If he got it going on his jump shot, he's going to shoot more threes. But he's not going out there consecutive possessions in a row. He's not going to go out there and force trips in a row because he made two. He's not going to shoot the next two from three. That's just not who he is. There's a lot about his IQ and his game.
01:25:59
Speaker 1: He has a big dude on him. He literally... If you listen to his dad....
01:26:05
Speaker 4: They watched Allen Iverson growing up. That was their favorite player in Coles. So the fact that I have a big on me, I'm taking him to the basket.
01:26:16
Speaker 1: Right. He's slow footed. So I'm taking him to the basket.
01:26:19
Speaker 4: If I get by him, the person that's going to meet me at the basket has to be a guard because I just blew by the big.
01:26:25
Speaker 1: He still plays in that that realm.
01:26:27
Speaker 4: Yeah. versus I got a big on me now I want to sit here and sidestep him in.
01:26:32
Speaker 2: I'm going to say that's what we did when we first came here. Get a big on you, flatten out.
01:26:36
Speaker 10: They playing well like they responded. To be that young and you go out there and respond like that, you got to give them credit. They done heard everybody doubt them. People on this couch said they was too.
01:26:47
Speaker 1: Young and shit.
01:26:50
Speaker 5: Under 52 points in the paint Nuggets only had 28 points to paint in this game.
01:26:55
Speaker 1: We said SGA.
01:26:56
Speaker 5: And then 11 to 30 The two-point difference and then add the free throws up they're gonna put Nicole ass on that block boy.
01:27:02
Speaker 1: Hey, I It's going to be hard to win the Denver.
01:27:16
Speaker 3: So the way they guard, they was crowding him, playing in a crowd, reaching for the ball. They're going to put him on that block, motherfucking listen. Run some flares and some dives, and then.
01:27:27
Speaker 4: Brown and Gordon are going to be, Jamal Murray popping.
01:27:30
Speaker 1: It's going to be.
01:27:31
Speaker 2: It's over.
01:27:32
Speaker 1: No, it ain't over. They do some dumb. Hell no. Good series coming. Not with Jokic. It's a good series.
01:27:37
Speaker 4: I've seen some threes that I'm sitting here like, what the fuck are y'all doing?
01:27:41
Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
01:27:42
Speaker 5: Like.
01:27:42
Speaker 4: I know he passed it to you, but there was one where Brown got it.
01:27:47
Speaker 1: Pump fake. No, he didn't pump fake.
01:27:50
Speaker 2: He lost it.
01:27:50
Speaker 1: He didn't shot it.
01:27:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, because the announcer said he pumped fake. I said, no, he lost that ball.
01:27:55
Speaker 2: To then shoot it?
01:27:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:27:57
Speaker 2: Like, if you was wide.
01:27:59
Speaker 1: Open, we would still be like, yeah. Just try. And then Michael Porter Jr. did the same thing.
01:28:04
Speaker 2: Got the ball.
01:28:05
Speaker 1: He's already 0 for something. Got the ball.
01:28:07
Speaker 2: Dude closed out. He pump fake. And then shot.
01:28:11
Speaker 3: In front of their bench. Probably was the next possession. Probably was the next possession.
01:28:17
Speaker 1: Right?
01:28:18
Speaker 10: Sometimes the time when it's better than you. It comes a time when a team is just better than you.
01:28:23
Speaker 1: No, I mean, it shows that they were better. First game one and game two.
01:28:27
Speaker 3: No, OKC, yeah. They might be better, absolutely. But going back to Denver Tide, motherfucking 1-1.
01:28:38
Speaker 1: All that better shit, cool. Best record in the West, cool. Best record last.
01:28:42
Speaker 2: Week, cool.
01:28:43
Speaker 1: You guess what? Motherfucking 1-1. And that number 15 is over there.
01:28:45
Speaker 2: And I can tell you, like this man just said, that day, 50. He's going to have 50 and 30.
01:28:53
Speaker 1: He's competitive.
01:28:55
Speaker 2: It's like he's going to have to have 50.
01:28:57
Speaker 1: That's cool.
01:28:57
Speaker 4: He can go have one of them game ones that he had. All he got to do is do somewhat of what he did in game one.
01:29:02
Speaker 2: He had 50. He'll have 30 and 30, something like that. He had 40 and 20 in game one. And he's down two at the end. They won.
01:29:09
Speaker 1: He had all that, but they were still bad. They won. He had all that. What's the series?
01:29:14
Speaker 2: 1-1.
01:29:15
Speaker 1: What's the series? There's currently 1-1. What's the series?
01:29:19
Speaker 2: What's the goal?
01:29:20
Speaker 1: I'm not worried about him.
01:29:21
Speaker 2: The goal is to get that first one. The goal is to get that first one.
01:29:24
Speaker 1: I take the Stars. The Stars, they're going to have their games.
01:29:28
Speaker 4: It's everybody else, and it just seems like one everybody else, Denver, they settle way too much. Listen, I don't know who they think they are in shooting. I get why Boston do it, right? Y'all shouldn't be shooting freely at the three-point line like Boston does. And you can see they struggling, and they have ten times better shooters than y'all.
01:29:50
Speaker 2: Like, if Murray decides.
01:29:52
Speaker 1: To start flinging it, okay.
01:29:54
Speaker 2: That's Murray, yeah. Michael, like.
01:29:57
Speaker 4: Depending on what part of the game it is, like, you should be hesitant in some of your shots, selection. Like, you coming off flinging like you're Ray Allen.
01:30:07
Speaker 2: Depending.
01:30:07
Speaker 1: Like, you haven't been.
01:30:08
Speaker 4: Playing very well the last month.
01:30:11
Speaker 2: Right?
01:30:11
Speaker 4: So you might just need to pump fake, take it in one dribble.
01:30:14
Speaker 1: Take some good tools.
01:30:16
Speaker 2: Dive.
01:30:17
Speaker 1: Like, get a rhythm first.
01:30:19
Speaker 4: These coming off the screens flat.
01:30:22
Speaker 2: No, not right now. Right?
01:30:23
Speaker 1: Chris Brown.
01:30:25
Speaker 4: Dive do a lot of dive and you'll be wide open get some dunks pull up shots get your rhythm get four or five shots and then you hit a three right shoot but you you shooting threes like you're a really high volume three-point shooter and you're playing against a team they shoot better threes than y'all and they still attacking this basket they're not settling on you.
01:30:49
Speaker 5: Guys Nuggets 28th in the NBA in three-pointers made during the regular season.
01:30:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, you need to act like it.
01:30:54
Speaker 4: Y'all should be shooting fucking four threes a game.
01:30:59
Speaker 2: 17. 17.
01:31:00
Speaker 5: You can't tell. They started hitting against the Clippers. Anywhere from four to 17.
01:31:04
Speaker 1: Four to 17.
01:31:05
Speaker 2: Anywhere from there.
01:31:07
Speaker 1: In the sentence, if you take four, Yogi Jumari took two, too.
01:31:11
Speaker 4: They take 17, Yogi Jumari took nine.
01:31:14
Speaker 2: But it's hard because they was hitting.
01:31:16
Speaker 1: They was hitting.
01:31:16
Speaker 5: You can't tell somebody to turn it off when they won a series off it. Russ was shooting, what, 47% from three? His highest three-point percentage in any playoff series.
01:31:25
Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
01:31:26
Speaker 4: If you're making him cool, if you start off 0 for 2, you shouldn't be 0 for 6.
01:31:34
Speaker 1: You shouldn't be 0 for 6 from the 3. Shouldn't be 0 for 4 from 3. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:31:39
Speaker 4: If I'm 0 for 2, I done took four good layups, a couple jumpers. I'm not going to keep running down that rabbit hole talking about, yeah, one going to hit, one.
01:31:49
Speaker 1: Going to hit.
01:31:49
Speaker 2: Make the next one.
01:31:50
Speaker 1: Keep shooting. Motherfucker, assistant coach behind the bench. Keep shooting. Keep shooting. Keep shooting. We need 10 more.
01:31:56
Speaker 5: Not from you.
01:31:57
Speaker 1: It's hard to tell a motherfucker that's open.
01:31:58
Speaker 2: No, it's not.
01:31:59
Speaker 1: But they got a lot to do with it. We did it a lot.
01:32:01
Speaker 2: Real easy.
01:32:02
Speaker 1: We did it a lot. Either take him out or... That's the only thing. That's the only thing you can do. It's open and you think he can shoot?
01:32:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, but it got a lot to do with IQ, though, too, though.
01:32:13
Speaker 1: Absolutely.
01:32:14
Speaker 2: Like, just do the game.
01:32:15
Speaker 1: Like you said.
01:32:15
Speaker 2: Your IQ tells.
01:32:16
Speaker 1: You you can't shoot it.
01:32:18
Speaker 2: But then.
01:32:19
Speaker 1: But then, no, no, but yes, to your point, absolutely.
01:32:23
Speaker 3: And so this is the thing where I don't think that they do in this NBA.
01:32:26
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm. And I know for a fact they don't watch a lot of film. Mm-hmm.
01:32:32
Speaker 3: But watching film, if you take one of them pull-ups and you 0 for 3, during film, somebody asking you during that fourth one that you just took, really, B?
01:32:44
Speaker 1: You think that was a good shot? You think that was good? Thank you. Mm-hmm. Thank you, Gil.
01:32:48
Speaker 4: Mm-hmm. Somebody in that room asking you. One of them assistant coaches or one of us.
01:32:53
Speaker 3: Like, God damn, B, like, you didn't want to swing that or you didn't want to go get a layup?
01:32:58
Speaker 2: For sure.
01:32:59
Speaker 3: Bringing it to your attention, right? Not trying to embarrass you, but trying to... A little bit embarrassing, funny, making you think.
01:33:08
Speaker 1: Something different next time you open. Like, oh, shit, I just missed it. Let me go.
01:33:12
Speaker 2: But is it embarrassing or are we just teaching you?
01:33:14
Speaker 4: We're teaching you, but it should, in a sense, not trying to embarrass you, but you should feel a way amongst your guys.
01:33:22
Speaker 1: That, like, damn, I shouldn't have did that, right? So not embarrassing. Maybe embarrassing is the wrong word.
01:33:29
Speaker 3: But just making you feel something for your guys, like, yeah, maybe I shouldn't have took that one, right? But bringing it to your attention in the moment, in the film.
01:33:36
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. But we also had vets, though, too, that we respected. So I don't know if these young guys have that type of vet to where, you know, you'll tell me, hey, man, swing that next time. Like, it's a respect. I don't think they have that. And these coaches aren't really. They're young, too.
01:33:50
Speaker 1: And you missed Nick in the corner last time. Yeah.
01:33:52
Speaker 2: Like, you know what I'm saying? I don't think it's none of that.
01:33:54
Speaker 1: And then they're.
01:33:54
Speaker 2: Probably so sensitive.
01:33:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. You're way too sensitive. We're watching them trying to get better. Absolutely.
01:33:59
Speaker 2: Like, what we here for? We here for. I'm not here to get in your feelings or embarrass you. I'm just here to teach you and help you. So next time, yo, man, make that pass.
01:34:06
Speaker 1: They miss control.
01:34:07
Speaker 5: Isn't there a fine line of having the purpose and keep confidence, too?
01:34:12
Speaker 1: What? No.
01:34:14
Speaker 2: You get an open shot, take that shot.
01:34:16
Speaker 4: No.
01:34:16
Speaker 3: No, we're not trying to waver your confidence in us in a bad shot.
01:34:22
Speaker 2: I'm talking about open shot, not taking three bad shots.
01:34:24
Speaker 10: I'm talking about if I'm a shooter, one of your shooters, and you pass it to me and I'm wide open.
01:34:30
Speaker 1: How many minutes you play? What time is this game?
01:34:32
Speaker 2: What is the score?
01:34:33
Speaker 1: The IQ still.
01:34:35
Speaker 2: Has to be able to kick in in the game, right?
01:34:38
Speaker 4: A wide open shot when we're at the beginning of the game is very different than a wide open shot and we haven't scored a bucket in five minutes.
01:34:49
Speaker 1: I'm just saying.
01:34:51
Speaker 4: Those are two different scenarios. I don't give a fuck how open you are. But what I'm saying is I don't care how open you are. It's 0-15 run, and we're trying to run offense, and we throw it to you, and you're wide open to make it.
01:35:08
Speaker 2: 0-6, come on.
01:35:10
Speaker 8: I'm a shooter, shooter.
01:35:12
Speaker 4: I don't give a fuck what you are. I don't give a fuck what you are. I just called a play.
01:35:17
Speaker 2: Let's call a play.
01:35:18
Speaker 3: So we're taking the Boston Celtics right in this situation, right, that we speak of. The Boston Celtics with a lot of threes. Some of us played against Al Horford. Some of us watched Al Horford play. Al Horford didn't come into this NBA as a fucking shooter, right?
01:35:33
Speaker 1: He's worked overtime. To be able to make shots. Right?
01:35:39
Speaker 2: Never going to be a great shooter. Just cool.
01:35:42
Speaker 1: Right?
01:35:43
Speaker 2: Brooke Lopez.
01:35:44
Speaker 1: Same for the same fucking bitch.
01:35:46
Speaker 3: All the dudes that lasted longer than we thought they were going to last because they were able to change their.
01:35:52
Speaker 1: Al Horford right now.
01:35:54
Speaker 4: This team that they didn't miss seven straight threes and they swing that bitch to him.
01:35:58
Speaker 2: That's awesome.
01:35:58
Speaker 4: There's no hesitation whatsoever, dawg. If that's Steve Novak.
01:36:05
Speaker 1: We like.
01:36:07
Speaker 2: Man!
01:36:08
Speaker 5: That's what I'm talking about.
01:36:10
Speaker 2: I'm not talking about Harper. But I'm saying it's still.
01:36:15
Speaker 1: I want you to have the war with all that. We just missed fucking eight, seven, eight straight threes.
01:36:20
Speaker 2: Let me go get a layup.
01:36:22
Speaker 1: I feel like if I hesitate.
01:36:24
Speaker 2: No, what.
01:36:24
Speaker 4: I'm saying is if we came down, we called the play and they double and I threw it to you and I'm trying to run and there's 19 seconds on the clock.
01:36:35
Speaker 1: Nah, don't take that shot.
01:36:37
Speaker 4: If it came out of the play we ran and it swung, swung, and you wide open, every time. But if you look at these threes, it's at the beginning of the game like it's still the first quarter.
01:36:49
Speaker 1: And that'd be the problem that.
01:36:51
Speaker 4: They're forcing the worst shooters to take these quick shots.
01:36:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
01:36:55
Speaker 1: I'm not talking about that. Because they're game planning. They want the ball to find these guys.
01:36:59
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:36:59
Speaker 3: I want the ball to find Al Horford. I want the ball to find these. Like, this is what they're going to game plan it as, right? They're going to try to run the good shooters off the line. We're going to try to contest as much as we can. But the game should. Tell you, man, like, get to.
01:37:14
Speaker 1: The basket, man. Even go back door, do something. Let's get an easy one. Cat, get to the line.
01:37:20
Speaker 2: Excuse me.
01:37:22
Speaker 4: Cat had one three yesterday. He had a monster game. Only took one shot in the fourth off of offensive rebound. You don't think he was wide open at any point? He knows if we're going to come back, it's going to be let him do the hitting and rolling and switching and let me get it at the end and make the shot. He's not sitting there trying to create his own offense, adding to the drought. Everybody wants to be a hero. Everybody wants the I want to stop the run mentality. You don't even get paid to do that.
01:37:58
Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
01:38:01
Speaker 2: The ball has to be in a certain person's hand.
01:38:03
Speaker 1: Let him create the double. Swing it, swing it.
01:38:06
Speaker 4: Our shooters hit the three or somebody ducked in. If you're going to shoot some shots, let it be off a steal and get a layup or offensive rebound, put it back in.
01:38:14
Speaker 2: That's what I.
01:38:15
Speaker 1: Was talking about.
01:38:16
Speaker 10: If you passed it to me and I was open, but I just missed two already.
01:38:21
Speaker 1: Bitch, you ain't getting the ball again. What the fuck? I didn't miss two in a row.
01:38:25
Speaker 2: Oh shit, you opened it. row.
01:38:30
Speaker 10: But I didn't miss two in a row, but I'm just saying I already missed two, but I ain't shot yet.
01:38:35
Speaker 1: And you drive and kick. Do you still want me to shoot the motherfucker? You say you ain't shot yet, right?
01:38:40
Speaker 4: So you just want to shoot now because you just want to shoot it.
01:38:43
Speaker 2: But you drove and made a good pass to me while I was shooting. That's what I'm saying.
01:38:47
Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about, y'all. Shoot that, yeah. I drove and made a good pass to you. Yeah, shoot that.
01:38:53
Speaker 2: That's what I was talking about. So, let's talk a little SGA. You're a shooter though, right? Yeah. Let's talk a little SGA.
01:39:00
Speaker 5: SGA was asked about his huge game and if he's paid attention to how other top seeds are trailing in their series.
01:39:10
Speaker 1: Reset.
01:39:10
Speaker 2: Do it again.
01:39:11
Speaker 1: Before we do that? Okay, hold on. Hold on, Paolo. Let me get it again. And three, two, one.
01:39:16
Speaker 5: SJ was asked about his huge game and has paid attention to how other top seeds are trailing in their series.
01:39:28
Speaker 1: Sweet. Yeah, I agree. Look at the Braves. What is it, the Braves?
01:39:35
Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
01:39:36
Speaker 4: Yep.
01:39:36
Speaker 2: It's Thursday.
01:39:39
Speaker 1: It's Thursday. All right. Run it again. In the meantime, download the Underdog app.
01:39:47
Speaker 5: Use promo code GIL.
01:39:48
Speaker 14: For me, even throughout the regular season, I try to always... If we lose a game, I try to not turn it into a streak. That's how I go about the season. If we lose one, I try to have an emphasis on the next game and try to not lose two in a row. And then in the playoffs, obviously, it's even harder to win on the road.
01:40:11
Speaker 1: And.
01:40:12
Speaker 14: Losing two at home puts you in a worse spot. You completely lose home court advantage. But, yeah, like, it's definitely on your mind no matter what. But regardless of what has happened, you have to, like, worry about what you can control going forward.
01:40:33
Speaker 5: So what did you learn about SGA after its huge performance in a must-win game two?
01:40:38
Speaker 2: Nothing. You can tell he watched film, though. Yeah. He cares.
01:40:44
Speaker 1: It wasn't going to be in question, man.
01:40:48
Speaker 3: I wasn't worried how they were going to come out, how he was going to play. I'm surprised he played as many minutes as he did, them being the deficit what it was. I'm surprised he played as many minutes.
01:41:01
Speaker 1: As he did. Yeah, 30 minutes in the game. Yeah, but the deficit was a king's ransom at halftime.
01:41:06
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:41:08
Speaker 3: He wanted to keep his rhythm on him, keep him sharp going into game three. So I understand it. But, yeah, like I said, it was just a little shocking.
01:41:16
Speaker 1: But, no, it wasn't.
01:41:19
Speaker 3: He's efficient, so you know what he's going to do, man. He's in the MVP conversation for a reason.
01:41:29
Speaker 2: And his biggest thing is being consistent. That's what he loves to say. He's consistent. So you know what you're going to get from him every night.
01:41:37
Speaker 5: Yeah.
01:41:39
Speaker 10: Terry's a great leader, too, though. Everybody on the court seems pretty excited, happy to play with him. Happy for O.K.C. I hope they make the finals, man.
01:41:56
Speaker 2: He always looks under control. He's always under control. He plays at his speed and his pace. He doesn't get out of control. That's one thing I do like about him. He sticks with it. Yeah.
01:42:10
Speaker 1: I think that's his demeanor, right? Off the floor. You can tell he's just in his everyday being. He's just consistent with outfits.
01:42:19
Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's just here. He's just, yeah, right? There's nothing here, nothing there.
01:42:24
Speaker 2: It's kind of like nonchalant.
01:42:27
Speaker 4: I'm here to do this, and I do it well, and I'm confident in doing it.
01:42:31
Speaker 1: Yeah.
01:42:32
Speaker 3: And that confidence is displayed in his everyday being, right? From his fashion to the way he plays the games, the way he speaks. Yeah, so, no, he's a pro's pro. And, yeah, and I think the league is in good hands if he's a part of it moving forward, right? As one of the faces of the NBA because he's well-spoken.
01:42:57
Speaker 1: He's, yeah, so I.
01:42:59
Speaker 2: Very confident.
01:43:00
Speaker 1: Very confident, yeah. That goes a long way. Yeah. Let's shift over to the Nugget side. And I'm all for.
01:43:11
Speaker 1: What is it?
01:43:11
Speaker 4: That's how many Tuesday average versus how many Thursday average?
01:43:15
Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
01:43:17
Speaker 1: Two-point attempts.
01:43:19
Speaker 2: Yeah?
01:43:20
Speaker 1: Two-pointers, two-point attempts.
01:43:28
Speaker 3: He with Converse, too, right? He is with Converse. Yeah, I can't wait until the moves come out. And that's... Sister partner of Nike, correct?
01:43:37
Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
01:43:38
Speaker 1: So, yeah, they got that bread to put behind them. They do. They did. And they did, and they're going to do it moving forward. For sure. Wizard Party All-Star Weekend.
01:43:45
Speaker 3: And, you know, Nike, I understand people want it to be that swoosh, but it's still within the company. So him being a part of one of the conversations facing the NBA won't be too far.
01:43:56
Speaker 5: I can't wait to buy those. Once he conquered Joker, too. Oh, those motherfuckers are going to sell out.
01:44:02
Speaker 1: Once they conquer Joker after this. Ooh.
01:44:05
Speaker 5: I used the plug. We'll just holler at him. You can go crazy with the Chucks. Let's talk about the Nuggets for a little bit. Nuggets got their ass whooped game two, but ultimately head back to Denver with a split against the league's best home team this season. So after losing by 43 points, Nuggets interim head coach David Alderman said, we got punked. And he said that in the most Caucasian way possible. But what can the Nuggets learn from this game to blow out loss?
01:44:32
Speaker 2: He talk like that? We got punked. That's what I'm saying. That coach talk like that? Let me hear it.
01:44:38
Speaker 1: Keith Heddy told me that joke. We got to play harder, play better. We're going home. We're tired going home.
01:44:48
Speaker 4: This is a squad full of people who have won a championship. Yeah, we know who we're playing against, so it's not like it's a secret.
01:44:54
Speaker 1: We don't.
01:44:55
Speaker 3: We understand what they're capable of doing. They just showed us, right? So there's nothing really to talk about in here, but each individual needs to look in the mirror when they get home and realize, I got to be better.
01:45:07
Speaker 1: I got to do better.
01:45:08
Speaker 3: I need to bring more in order for us to go. Plain and simple, man. This is a time for your guys to step up and for dogs to be dogs, man.
01:45:22
Speaker 1: This is not time for play.
01:45:24
Speaker 3: This is not time for these young.
01:45:27
Speaker 2: If you ain't with it, man, this is not your time, dog.
01:45:30
Speaker 1: If you fuck up, you lose by 40.
01:45:32
Speaker 2: Less threes. Less threes. I think you said earlier. There's a certain people that shoot them.
01:45:37
Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't even know what.
01:45:39
Speaker 4: The speech would be that would be like in reality, you know, in six quarters of basketball, y'all have gotten your ass whooped.
01:45:49
Speaker 1: Right? You came back in the fourth quarter.
01:45:53
Speaker 4: Of game one, but for six out of the eight quarter, six out of the, seven out of the eight quarter, you've gotten beat the fuck up, right? There ain't shit here to learn, right here. Like, let's worry about us. Watching film is irrelevant to this ass. And all we can do is basically go to the fourth quarter of game one and watch how we did for five minutes. Just compete and not let motherfuckers wallets get the ball out the fucking net, get a rebound, and go get a motherfucking layup and shit like that, right?
01:46:24
Speaker 1: That's effort. That's shit like.
01:46:26
Speaker 4: So it's... Putting ourselves in better positions to be more efficient and so on, man.
01:46:32
Speaker 3: Be more in tune to the game plan. Be more in tune to your assignments.
01:46:38
Speaker 1: So it's all of.
01:46:39
Speaker 3: Those things moving forward, man. But like I said, they proved to us what they can do. And the beauty of it is we got a game there. We ain't played well. We know that. But we got a game. So what does that say about us? That's all you can with the message is we got a game and didn't play. We didn't play well at Oklahoma City. We know that as a group. We know we didn't play well.
01:46:58
Speaker 1: We got one, though. We got one. That's the most positive thing about it.
01:47:01
Speaker 3: That's the most positive thing going back to Denver that you have in your pocket. So we have an opportunity here. Let's go seize the moment. That's all. Very few words. Let's go do it. Let's go hoop, man. Let's go play basketball. Let's go play Denver Nugget basketball. That's why we're here. Now you got to go to Denver.
01:47:25
Speaker 4: We had one quarter out of eight that got us a win.
01:47:29
Speaker 10: I feel like they're more confident now. That first game, that Joker, the aura of Joker kind of put fear in bigs and teams and shit.
01:47:40
Speaker 2: I ain't going to lie.
01:47:41
Speaker 1: I've seen a flaw that Only gets called out. I mean, I've seen someone. I know, but he still has that aura, though. Up and down, complaining the whole game. But he still had that aura. I don't give a fuck about his aura.
01:47:55
Speaker 2: I've seen complaining.
01:47:56
Speaker 5: You're playing against Joker, and any night he'll get a triple-double. No, what I'm saying is we're talking about two different things.
01:48:01
Speaker 1: I know, but I'm just saying.
01:48:02
Speaker 4: I've seen a man, the best player, a three-time MVP, weak, crying, pouting. But that don't stop. And they end up, and they won the game. They end up winning because of whatever happened. So if I'm telling my team, listen. just keep playing. Because we've seen, we watched, we watched the MVP cry. We've seen him walking up and down, yelling at his team, yelling at his coach. Like we watched that. And we let it win somehow. Don't give these motherfuckers no hope.
01:48:40
Speaker 2: Thank you.
01:48:40
Speaker 1: They're not scared. So I'm not.
01:48:43
Speaker 4: Okay, see, I'm going in there. Just keep putting foot to ass. We'll win the series. No matter what happens, we just keep going.
01:48:50
Speaker 1: I hear you, but there's one element that they... That motherfucking altitude. Fuck all that. Listen. It ain't got nothing to do with nobody shooting basketball.
01:49:02
Speaker 2: That motherfucking altitude.
01:49:04
Speaker 1: First and last five.
01:49:06
Speaker 5: First five, last five.
01:49:11
Speaker 1: First, last, last five. Denver shouldn't be.
01:49:13
Speaker 4: I think Denver because besides Jokic, everybody's kind of young and they want to run and I'm like, you don't want to run against them.
01:49:23
Speaker 1: The first five in the last five. Yeah, don't run against them. First five you do. Try to burn them out? First five? First five minutes in that altitude? Absolutely. Come on, yo, you know that altitude. How long they been out of altitude?
01:49:35
Speaker 2: How long is the adjustment period for Denver 2?
01:49:38
Speaker 1: No, Denver, they good.
01:49:40
Speaker 2: Don't they probably sleep in the chambers?
01:49:44
Speaker 3: Not for guys that's been there. But they've been gone for a few days. But still, this is going to be. That first game was going to be like... But still, they ain't the OKC boy. They young, too.
01:49:53
Speaker 1: That's what I said. It's a thing, though. It's a real thing.
01:49:57
Speaker 2: It is. It is.
01:49:58
Speaker 1: I forgot. They probably was in OKC for, what, like, five, six days? Had a nice little early timeout.
01:50:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, they slept in the chamber, dog. You got chambers. Ain't no chambers in OKC.
01:50:08
Speaker 1: Bring the chamber on the road. That's what I said. If I'm the coach.
01:50:12
Speaker 4: I'm just going to be showing the people that we're afraid of, this three-time MVP. I'm just going to show, look at his mannerisms. Look at what happened when he's losing. This is not a stone-cold killer when he's down.
01:50:27
Speaker 1: Look at this shit.
01:50:28
Speaker 4: No matter what he's going doing and all that's doing that shit down there, look at him. Look at him pouting. That's what I'm going to be showing. I'm going to be showing my teammates, the worst of them, so they don't keep looking at.
01:50:39
Speaker 1: Him like a guy.
01:50:40
Speaker 4: Like, if I was playing against Jordan, I'm going to show the weakest part of Jordan so these motherfuckers don't think this is the black cat.
01:50:46
Speaker 2: Right.
01:50:47
Speaker 1: Right?
01:50:47
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm going to show.
01:50:49
Speaker 1: And I feel like they had confidence.
01:50:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, but he still had a moment where he got his teammate. I think it was a timeout. He was in there talking, coaching, getting everybody together.
01:50:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, when we came back.
01:50:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, the front running type shit. I know.
01:50:58
Speaker 4: That's why I'm going to show the real of him. I'm not going to show when they end the game. I'm going to show what did he look like when they were losing. That's the guy I'm going to show.
01:51:08
Speaker 2: I'm upset.
01:51:09
Speaker 1: All right, well, let's keep this thing moving.
01:51:10
Speaker 2: 42 and 30. 20, though. Huh? 42 and 30. That's hard. With all that.
01:51:16
Speaker 1: He took my lunch money. With the win.
01:51:18
Speaker 2: He looked like Ray. He looked like Ray when he got his chain snatched. 40 and 20 with the win.
01:51:23
Speaker 1: With all that. And still gave motherfuckers 40? Okay, cool. But that's what I'm saying.
01:51:27
Speaker 4: Still calling him?
01:51:29
Speaker 1: Bitching and complaining all game.
01:51:31
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. He won.
01:51:33
Speaker 1: Shit me. He's complaining about his team.
01:51:37
Speaker 2: I need y'all to come home.
01:51:39
Speaker 4: They taking shots. They not giving him the ball. That's where his complaint is coming from. Yeah, I could have had 60. Because I would have had 60. The game wouldn't have been close. You threw this motherfucker.
01:51:49
Speaker 1: Down when I got a new dork guarding me. But that's what I'm saying. That's what he's fucking mad about.
01:51:56
Speaker 3: Playing, I got Lou Dorton. You fire this motherfucking ball, Michael Porter. Yeah, get this motherfucker out the game.
01:52:01
Speaker 4: You're going to get at the bench, too.
01:52:04
Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
01:52:06
Speaker 4: He said they're passing out and trying to repost, and they swung it and shot that.
01:52:11
Speaker 1: Shot that bitch.
01:52:12
Speaker 2: Listen, dog. I did it for him.
01:52:15
Speaker 4: I did it for them when they shot them.
01:52:20
Speaker 1: Really, dude?
01:52:22
Speaker 2: We would have to be in that situation. It would have been 50.
01:52:28
Speaker 1: Let's keep this thing moving.
01:52:29
Speaker 5: Shout out to Zip Recruiter for sponsoring today's podcast. We're going to do something a little different today. As we're going to ask the Zip Recruiter question of the day. So we got the Zip Recruiter question of the day. Here is that question. Which second round playoff team is most likely to be looking for a new coach on Zip Recruiter if they lose? Which second round team most likely to be looking for a new coach on Zip Recruiter if they lose?
01:52:58
Speaker 1: I don't think none of them. But if we had to pick one since you're asking that question.
01:53:05
Speaker 2: Right now? I'm going to go Minnesota. Finchie? Probably call it out. Nah, not because. Didn't they fire their coach?
01:53:17
Speaker 1: No. He's been there for a while. Denver too, right? Huh? Denver too. I'm saying Denver. They already did. They already fired their coach.
01:53:26
Speaker 3: I mean, they might be looking. Yeah, he's an interim coach, so that's the odds.
01:53:30
Speaker 1: Been there a while. He's been there a while. What do you mean been a while?
01:53:34
Speaker 2: Alderman.
01:53:34
Speaker 1: He's been underneath Mike Malone for a while. I'm just saying he hasn't. He's not the head, head coach. Not yet. He can't get fired. He just can't get re-signed. Yeah, they can either hire a new coach or not. I think Tib is good. They just won two. He is the king right now. I mean, if he gets four-old, Boston maybe. Boston maybe. I think Boston.
01:53:55
Speaker 4: They won a championship last year.
01:53:57
Speaker 1: Man, we've seen other coaches win. And next year. If they get swept, still safe. Yeah. Yeah. For real?
01:54:03
Speaker 2: Yeah.
01:54:04
Speaker 1: Damn.
01:54:04
Speaker 3: It seems like this crew is still... Jason Tatum's not healthy, dog. This crew's bothering him, dog. Yeah, Jason Tatum is bothering him, dog. He's not healthy, man. But that's no... For the most.
01:54:15
Speaker 4: Part, he seems safe, so probably Minnesota, maybe?
01:54:21
Speaker 2: I don't know.
01:54:21
Speaker 3: To pick one, being the success they had last year, being with the success Minnesota had last year where they finished the year and If we had to pick one, I would say Finch.
01:54:34
Speaker 1: Yeah. But everybody.
01:54:35
Speaker 2: Yep. All Minnesota.
01:54:37
Speaker 1: Yeah, if I had to pick one more. Missoula side? I think New York. If they fire, they coach that. We'll mess up their whole world.
01:54:45
Speaker 4: If Tibbs, if they go, if they get, if he lose four straight, If you lose four straight, then maybe.
01:54:54
Speaker 1: He's gone. Maybe, but right now.
01:54:57
Speaker 2: Four straight?
01:54:57
Speaker 1: If you lose four straight. Because you did.
01:54:59
Speaker 2: That happened last year, too. Last year, and then this year? Last year, too.
01:55:02
Speaker 1: He wasn't supposed to win these two games, so.
01:55:05
Speaker 4: No, but that's what I'm saying. Right now, he the king. He might get a raise. If I'm him, I'm like, hey, so a contract coming up. I'm trying to get my contract done before game three.
01:55:14
Speaker 1: Get that extension for three.
01:55:15
Speaker 2: And if I win the third game.
01:55:16
Speaker 1: That would mess up that whole team. If I leave New York at least 3-1. They're already complaining about not having days off. They're going to mess up their whole team. Who's going to be the coach? Their daddy? His daddy? Rick Brunson. Upstanding general. For the most part, everybody kind of saved a little bit. Produced a legend.
01:55:31
Speaker 2: Got to, because that rhythm, like, new coach from Cummings, fuck up.
01:55:36
Speaker 5: All right, so Finch is probably the biggest target of the remaining coaches in the second round. But four out of five employers who post on ZipRecruiter get a quality candidate within the first day.
01:55:46
Speaker 1: See for yourself.
01:55:46
Speaker 5: Go to this exclusive web address to try ZipRecruiter for free. ZipRecruiter.com slash Gil. Again, that's ZipRecruiter.com slash G-I-L. ZipRecruiter, the smartest way to hire. So we talked about... Finchie calling out Ant. Words to game one from the Wolves, despite Steph Curry going down with a hamstring strain in the second quarter. Anthony Edwards struggled, particularly in the first half when he scored one point on 0-for-8 shooting. End of the game with 23 points. He was 9-of-22 from the field, along with 14 rebounds. But after the game, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch called out his superstar.
01:56:20
Speaker 2: Starts with Ant. Is that something that you and he talk about maybe ahead of game two now? What is there to talk about? I mean, you're the leader of the team.
01:56:29
Speaker 7: And you got to come out and set the tone, you know, in all ways that that happens.
01:56:33
Speaker 2: And if your shot's not going, like.
01:56:37
Speaker 7: You still have to carry the energy, you know. So, you know, I don't think there's, you know, if I got to talk to guys about having the right energy coming into opening second round game, then, you know, we're not on the same page.
01:56:52
Speaker 2: There you go.
01:56:59
Speaker 1: He looks like the head vampire in Lost. That's not bad. Nah, yeah, he good.
01:57:02
Speaker 2: That was... That's not bad.
01:57:04
Speaker 1: Man, that's some shit.
01:57:05
Speaker 2: Coach is in a.
01:57:06
Speaker 5: If I got to talk to guys before coming to a playoff.
01:57:10
Speaker 1: If I got to tell you to play hard for game one. Game one of a playoff. Game one. I'm not talking about game two. It's after game one.
01:57:20
Speaker 3: It's after game one. If I got to come to you before game one of a second round playoff series and listen, I need you to lead these guys.
01:57:28
Speaker 1: No, that shouldn't be a conversation. We're in trouble.
01:57:31
Speaker 5: Ant-Man said he wanted to see the Warriors in the playoffs. Got his wish. failed to lead the squad to victory in game one. Do you think Anthony Edwards will respond to the challenge from Chris Finch in game two?
01:57:43
Speaker 1: He's competitive, man. He's going to come out and try to win. That's what he does.
01:57:46
Speaker 3: So a challenge from him maybe only adds fuel to it, but just like SGA, man, they're competitive. They lost game one at home. He understands the severity of that home loss. So challenge from his head coach or not, I was expecting Anthony Edwards to come out and understand if his shot's not falling, to do what he did late, attack the basket, get to.
01:58:09
Speaker 1: The line, different things. like that. Yeah, I.
01:58:12
Speaker 2: Think he's going to have one of them games tonight. I think they blow out Warriors. Just like you said, his confidence and how competitive he is, I think tonight's going to be the night.
01:58:22
Speaker 1: He's going to have one of those games.
01:58:24
Speaker 2: You at home. Well, he should.
01:58:26
Speaker 4: It could be an ass-whooping just with all the elements. No staff for the next couple games.
01:58:32
Speaker 1: It could get ugly. But you do have Buddy Hill. No, no, but it could get ugly. Oh, no.
01:58:36
Speaker 4: There's Buddy Hill trying to be Curry, but he ain't Curry-like.
01:58:40
Speaker 1: It could get ugly. It could.
01:58:42
Speaker 4: And if they lose by 50, I'm pretty sure nobody's going to be like.
01:58:45
Speaker 1: Oh, damn. They was whooping their ass off, Curry, though.
01:58:50
Speaker 4: Yeah, without Curry, but Curry... Yeah, but we started off with Curry. We can finish this fight.
01:58:55
Speaker 1: Curry still had 13. You know what I mean?
01:58:56
Speaker 2: We can finish this fight.
01:58:57
Speaker 4: It's cool.
01:58:58
Speaker 1: We just got to survive. Who was the mustache? That's better than.
01:59:01
Speaker 2: I mean, their defense was, I mean, what, they only scored 88?
01:59:04
Speaker 1: Mustache, dude. Mustache was cooking. D-Wolves only scored 88? Shit, their defense was crazy, Warriors. Oh, my God. Buddy Hill, though. It's like it's easy. Their defense was off the hook. It's easy to take something versus.
01:59:15
Speaker 2: Listen, but as a coach, why didn't you come out and do that, though?
01:59:19
Speaker 3: Why didn't you come out and do that? Test shots, compete in every position. It's an answering question, man. Give yourself a chance to win.
01:59:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, I might take– I mean, their defense is– I might take that back about the blowout. Because I still think, like you just said, those guys are going to compete. Those guys are going to contest. Like, they still going to play defense. So, I mean, if they hitting, though, they hitting.
01:59:35
Speaker 1: If they hitting, they hitting. But game plan to game plan.
01:59:37
Speaker 3: They going to come up with more game plan than they did in game one.
01:59:41
Speaker 2: Warriors, that is.
01:59:43
Speaker 3: And they expecting Minnesota to come out with a haymaker, their best punch, their best game plan. Because they can't afford to go down two games, man.
01:59:52
Speaker 1: So– This is.
01:59:53
Speaker 3: What's expected from the Golden State Warriors coaching staff and the players. They're expecting them to come out just like Oklahoma City did against Denver, right? Down the game, we can't afford to go in here and fuck around with these boys no more. We need to come out and jump on them. They're expecting that. So if they're hitting shots, no matter the defense that they are playing, then it is what it is. But they only scored 88 points in game one.
02:00:17
Speaker 2: Right.
02:00:19
Speaker 5: A pass passer, four points in 11 minutes in game one. They come out and blow him out. Do the coach come out and say something positive about him?
02:00:26
Speaker 1: Why would he?
02:00:27
Speaker 2: He said nothing negative. Yeah, I don't think that was negative. No, he just said we just got to have more energy.
02:00:33
Speaker 1: What am I giving?
02:00:34
Speaker 2: That's actually lame.
02:00:35
Speaker 1: It's like anything.
02:00:36
Speaker 4: We're in a championship game. What speech do I need to give you? It's a championship game. You should already be hyped. to play the championship game. That's what he's saying.
02:00:45
Speaker 2: Keep that in the locker room.
02:00:46
Speaker 1: Huh?
02:00:46
Speaker 2: Keep that in the locker room. You don't need to hear about it.
02:00:49
Speaker 1: They asked about it. He said, what kind of speech do you need to give him? Somebody ain't ask you something you ain't telling some other shit? If somebody says, what do I need to give?
02:00:59
Speaker 4: Like, what kind of speech do you give your team?
02:01:02
Speaker 1: This is the playoffs.
02:01:03
Speaker 4: I shouldn't have to give them shit. They should be ready to go out here and fight for their lives. That's always been normal. I don't need you to talk about me. Hold on.
02:01:16
Speaker 2: Don't say my name.
02:01:18
Speaker 1: Don't say my name.
02:01:19
Speaker 2: That's what this air is? Wait, that's what this air is? That's how this air is?
02:01:26
Speaker 5: So game two tonight, as we mentioned, Steph Curry will be out for at least the next couple games dealing with the hamstring strain that he suffered second quarter of game one.
02:01:35
Speaker 1: So who is the pressure on in game two, the Wolves or the Warriors? The Wolves.
02:01:41
Speaker 2: Thank you guys for just... Yeah, the T-Wolf's easy. I mean, if you go down 2-0 to the Warriors without Steph Curry, and he's out for another week, I mean.
02:01:52
Speaker 1: I mean, the fact that you lost one already, that's.
02:01:55
Speaker 5: Warriors have bought a little bit of time for Steph, obviously. I think he'll be re-evaluated in a week by getting this game one win.
02:02:01
Speaker 4: No, I'm just saying, like, the pressure's on... It's on Timberwolves to win, and then you gotta try to win a game over there.
02:02:11
Speaker 5: Like, so it's really on Timberwolves. Because they still got to basically win two to even.
02:02:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, to even it out. So you got to get this one, then try to get another one.
02:02:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, because if Steph.
02:02:21
Speaker 4: So this game right here is so important to them.
02:02:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, they have to. That's why I say it should be a blowout. I mean, they should.
02:02:27
Speaker 5: It should be. Are you going to get a Warriors team playing free, though? I like Ant-Man calls out. Like, last year he called out Kyrie. Even though it didn't go that well, he still ain't back down. He's kept the same energy in him. Now he calling out Steph.
02:02:41
Speaker 4: I've seen a whole bunch of people call him out.
02:02:44
Speaker 1: I like that he called him out.
02:02:45
Speaker 2: A lot of people call Mike Tyson out, too.
02:02:47
Speaker 1: It didn't go that well. I woke up in the hospital. He called LeBron out. That went well. He didn't call LeBron out.
02:02:54
Speaker 10: He didn't push LeBron. He ain't afraid to lose in front of y'all. That's the type of energy I like. He up and down. He the same guy up and down. Same person down. Brother, hey, listen, listen.
02:03:08
Speaker 4: Jumping in front of a bullet sounds courageous. Didn't work out for him.
02:03:12
Speaker 2: Didn't work out for him, but he still worked out.
02:03:14
Speaker 1: It worked out when he caught out.
02:03:15
Speaker 2: He jumped in front of the bullet. He died.
02:03:17
Speaker 1: He died.
02:03:19
Speaker 2: He going to go down as a hero. All right.
02:03:22
Speaker 5: He beat the Lakers ass in five.
02:03:24
Speaker 1: That ain't good. Unfortunate.
02:03:26
Speaker 2: He called Kyrie out. He called out LeBron, too.
02:03:30
Speaker 4: You said calling out, not just winning the series. It seems like it's better off if you don't say nothing and just win.
02:03:36
Speaker 1: KD, too. He called KD out, too.
02:03:38
Speaker 2: He beat Joe Louis' ass.
02:03:41
Speaker 1: He called him out.
02:03:41
Speaker 5: Yeah, he called LeBron out. I can't wait to see LeBron. I've been waiting for this. He was very humble. He said, yeah, if we get the opportunity to win this thing. Call Kyrie out.
02:03:52
Speaker 1: I'm guarding him. That's a call out.
02:03:54
Speaker 2: Know the difference between a call out and just playing the game.
02:03:56
Speaker 1: He was very humble going up against LeBron. I get it. Nobody can call him out. No, you're saying he's calling him out. You know what that means? He only called Kyrie. I'm wrong. Okay, show me a quote then.
02:04:06
Speaker 4: I'm wrong. Show me a quote.
02:04:07
Speaker 1: You got a phone.
02:04:08
Speaker 2: I'm wrong, bro. I'm wrong.
02:04:11
Speaker 1: I'm telling you.
02:04:11
Speaker 5: He did say he was looking forward to taking on LeBron, trying to Fuck. Knock him out of the playoffs.
02:04:16
Speaker 1: Knock him out.
02:04:16
Speaker 5: Then Adidas came through with the Kingslayer graphics after that.
02:04:19
Speaker 2: Kingslayer.
02:04:20
Speaker 1: Take him out of the playoffs. Kyrie, he said, what am I going to do with.
02:04:24
Speaker 5: Kyrie?
02:04:24
Speaker 1: Try to lock Kyrie up.
02:04:26
Speaker 2: Lock him? Okay.
02:04:26
Speaker 1: So that means because he's guarding him. Okay. No, it's not that. I know. What did he say about Steph? Nothing.
02:04:34
Speaker 2: Nothing.
02:04:34
Speaker 5: Light-skinned him. He's looking forward to the Warriors? I'm looking forward to the Warriors. Because of Draymond because he talked to him. Oh, it was Draymond. This was a couple years ago. 2023 going into that season. But let's talk a little Draymond also. How did that work out for him?
02:04:47
Speaker 1: It was unfortunate. It did not work out the way that he had assumed. When he was calling them out.
02:04:53
Speaker 2: He punked LeBron.
02:04:54
Speaker 4: When he was calling them out, Golden State was putting foot to ass when he was calling them out.
02:04:57
Speaker 5: I think Warriors have now won four straight games this season.
02:05:01
Speaker 2: Say it again?
02:05:02
Speaker 1: Warriors have won four straight games against the Timberwolves this season. You keep talking about it. Say it again. Warriors have won four straight games against the Timberwolves this season.
02:05:07
Speaker 2: He called them out four straight games.
02:05:08
Speaker 5: First three games, though, without Jimmy Butler, pre-Jimmy Butler trade, and then this one game in the playoffs.
02:05:13
Speaker 1: You called them out four straight games. Okay.
02:05:16
Speaker 5: Let's keep this thing moving. We're going to talk about some old shit. Dylan Brooks gained a reputation as one of the biggest trolls in the league with a knack for poking bears and trying to get under the skin of star players. Did you say Dylan Brooks? It'll all come back together. It's going to tie back together. Just let me do my hosting thing.
02:05:33
Speaker 1: It's Thursday.
02:05:34
Speaker 5: You done made me do like three straight playbacks. I ain't got no sleep. Kids ain't seeing me. They got to go on playback.tv slash Gilbert Arenas. I was like, I thought I heard. They'll be on there on Uber Eats. Daddy, where you been at? Playback.tv slash Gilbert Arenas, children, if you want to see. Okay, but nonetheless, like I said, Dylan Brooks trying to poke bears, get on the skin of star players, backfired in 2023. Tried to do it to LeBron with the Lakers eliminating the Grizzlies in the first round. Backfired again during the Rockets' first-round series with the Warriors. So on a recent episode of his podcast, Draymond had this to say about Dylan Brooks and his reaction post-game after the Warriors sent his squad to Cancun.
02:06:12
Speaker 8: Dylan Brooks ran off the court. So when I say you see what guys is made of, he ran off the court. Like, ain't shaking nobody up. And you admitted that you was trying to hurt Steph's hand, which, again, fine by me, bro.
02:06:32
Speaker 2: I get it. We all get it when you hoop. You know what I'm saying? So if you're going to be on that type of time, wear shades in the press conference.
02:06:39
Speaker 1: You got to be on that time all the time.
02:06:41
Speaker 2: You're going to be talking.
02:06:42
Speaker 1: You're going to be Mr.
02:06:44
Speaker 2: Big Bad Wolf.
02:06:45
Speaker 8: Don't lose and then not face the music. Don't be that guy because, again, you lose a lot of respect.
02:06:52
Speaker 2: For guys in that moment.
02:06:53
Speaker 8: I had a moment with Dylan Brooks back when he was with Memphis, and I said the dynasty started after you. And the reason I said that is because things like that. That's who Dylan Brooks is.
02:07:03
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
02:07:05
Speaker 8: And we understand like you a sucker, man. Dylan Brooks can come through in this series in large part because nobody on the court respects you. So anything you do, the way it's going to be looked at, the way it's going to be received, it ain't beneficial to your team when you're trying to win championships.
02:07:27
Speaker 5: We've had this conversation in the past about Dylan Brooks and his antics and not standing on business. But you understand why Draymond said nobody respects Dylan Brooks?
02:07:35
Speaker 2: I mean, if you're not shaking guys' hands after a series, playoff series, and you're running off.
02:07:42
Speaker 1: Is that mandatory, though? Is the post-series dap up a mandatory thing? No, it's everything. I mean, what?
02:07:48
Speaker 2: I mean, I got Isaiah Thomas off the.
02:07:50
Speaker 1: It's what? It's everything.
02:07:52
Speaker 4: Right, if you're the loudest one in the series and you're calling people out and you're talking shit, and then when you lose, you're the one that don't want to speak to the media. You're the one that walk out. That does show, like, you're actually not about that.
02:08:06
Speaker 3: No, talking to the media and shaking somebody's hand at 2TEP, man. I'm going off of, like, I'm thinking about the LeBron series and all that stuff when They had to find him because he was scared to talk.
02:08:20
Speaker 1: And left the arena. Yeah, he left the arena.
02:08:22
Speaker 5: It's like a similar walk that Ant-Man took after Game 5.
02:08:25
Speaker 2: Same thing happened to Isaiah Thomas.
02:08:27
Speaker 3: I always look at the way I handle wins and losses. It just depends on, I'm not going to be out there for extended periods of time. If I know someone, if we got a previous relationship before the series.
02:08:41
Speaker 1: I might on the way out, might do this.
02:08:42
Speaker 4: But I'm not going each individual guy and napping nobody up after the series.
02:08:45
Speaker 1: I never did. Oh, yeah, yeah. I never did. I'm not going, shit, good game, dog.
02:08:50
Speaker 2: Good series, dog.
02:08:50
Speaker 1: Good series, dog. Good series, dog. Good series, dog. Good series. Get on. Get them next game. Good luck the next round. I fucking hope you lose the next round. You never told them that.
02:08:59
Speaker 2: No, I'm not telling you.
02:09:00
Speaker 1: Good luck the next round because I don't fucking mean it. Bad luck. Right?
02:09:04
Speaker 2: I don't mean it.
02:09:05
Speaker 3: Y'all just beat us, so why would I tell you good luck? No, because we lost, my competitive nature is supposed to stop just because we lost in that moment. No, the buzzer just sounded.
02:09:20
Speaker 4: I ain't had time to fucking process this shit yet.
02:09:24
Speaker 3: It's not the same situation. Because I played a certain way and I did a certain thing. Like I said, if I knew you, I'm not just going to go to everybody and die. If I'm battling Tim and we didn't win six games, shit.
02:09:35
Speaker 1: Good dog. Shit.
02:09:36
Speaker 3: Other than that, I'm not finna just everybody on the team and dap him up. You running off and not talking to the media, now that's one thing, but not dapping guys up, it's not a necessity. It's not, it's not, there's nowhere in the rule book that says I have to shake your hand after we fucking play six, seven games, whatever we just did.
02:09:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's not this one. Like when Ant-Man called out.
02:09:56
Speaker 2: Ant, nobody probably like him.
02:09:57
Speaker 1: No, what I'm saying is, I dig it, probably. Y'all thinking about shaking him.
02:10:00
Speaker 2: We're talking, he's talking about like when Ant-Man called out Kyrie.
02:10:03
Speaker 4: Kyrie bust his ass. Ant-Man leaves the arena, don't talk to nobody.
02:10:08
Speaker 1: That's what Dylan Brooks is doing.
02:10:10
Speaker 2: That's what he's calling out. I dig it.
02:10:12
Speaker 4: You're calling these people out. They get the best of you. What are you saying in the media?
02:10:17
Speaker 1: Don't run.
02:10:18
Speaker 2: And that's what you do.
02:10:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, you face the media. Yeah, you got to go face the media.
02:10:21
Speaker 4: But before the buzzer, you're already in the locker room because you don't want nobody to see you.
02:10:25
Speaker 2: That's what he's calling.
02:10:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's calling that out.
02:10:28
Speaker 2: I dig that.
02:10:29
Speaker 4: You're the loudest one in the arena.
02:10:32
Speaker 2: Yeah.
02:10:32
Speaker 4: And then when you're not winning, you run out of the arena. When you win, you got the shirt off. Yeah, yeah, sorry, motherfucker.
02:10:40
Speaker 5: Like, that's what was going on. And that's what he's calling out. So, Kenny, a question for you. You talked about how you would handle series if you lost. You're trying to get off the court. If you won, are you staying on and napping everybody? If they come up to me, I'm not, but I'm not going to seek them out. But you have a similar reaction either way.
02:10:52
Speaker 1: Same way.
02:10:52
Speaker 3: I'm not going to seek guys out that just lost trying to shake your fucking hand.
02:10:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, like I just won. Right?
02:10:57
Speaker 3: I just beat y'all. I'm with my team. If we win, I'm celebrating with my team. It's that and the third, right? If dudes, like I said, if there's a mutual something beforehand... Then, yeah, I might, but if you come up to me, we're going to, but it ain't going to be nothing more than that, right? I don't expect that we just swept the Detroit Pistons and they come up to, I'm not expecting them to come, Chauncey and Ben to come up and dap me up after we just swept them.
02:11:27
Speaker 1: Good luck next round, dog. Go get them. This is not a handshake. Go get them.
02:11:31
Speaker 2: What you guys are talking about is not what this is.
02:11:34
Speaker 4: No one's shaking nobody's hands out. Everybody is. Everybody is. What I'm saying is that's not what Draymond's talking about.
02:11:43
Speaker 3: But the rest of the guys did, though. He's saying everybody else stood out there when they lost. They shook hands, but Dylan Brooks was nowhere to be found.
02:11:50
Speaker 1: I understand.
02:11:51
Speaker 3: Yes, but like I said, there's nowhere in the rule book that says I have to stand.
02:11:55
Speaker 1: Out there and shake hands.
02:11:56
Speaker 3: Not to talk to the media and all that shit is something totally separate. We just lost Yeah, you got to answer those questions then, but there's no way in the room to say, I got to fucking shake your hand after we just lost.
02:12:09
Speaker 2: He probably got real beat with everybody on that team.
02:12:11
Speaker 4: Like you said, he tried to hurt the angry. But I'm publicly saying what I'm doing. So the thing is, there's nobody like him before the series started. There's nobody like him before the series started.
02:12:22
Speaker 5: Talking about Steph's thumb and going at Steph's thumb. But you guys on this couch are talking about, if I know somebody's got an injury, I'm going to attack that injury.
02:12:29
Speaker 4: If it don't work out for you, stand on your business.
02:12:32
Speaker 1: That's all that's is.
02:12:34
Speaker 2: It's not step in the business.
02:12:35
Speaker 1: I run off the court and then I go.
02:12:36
Speaker 2: To my car and hide and I don't want to step in my business.
02:12:39
Speaker 10: We've seen Draymond not talk to me after Lawson went.
02:12:41
Speaker 2: To say shit on his podcast. But did he say something to the player? I'm going at a player.
02:12:47
Speaker 4: I'm saying I'm going to bust your ass. I'm trying to hurt this man. And then you bust my ass and then when the media goes and.
02:12:54
Speaker 2: Say, hey, so what happened? I'm not there.
02:12:57
Speaker 1: I'm not speaking for myself. That's what the problem is.
02:13:00
Speaker 5: Basketball Like I said, I don't think you should not answer them questions.
02:13:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to hit his head. I'm going to do that. Okay, cool. Because you said it to them then during the press conference. You said it to them during the press conference.
02:13:10
Speaker 4: So now that they didn't beat you in seven games, how did that work out for you?
02:13:14
Speaker 1: How did it work out? You're gone.
02:13:15
Speaker 2: You run. Every time you lost, that's a cowardice.
02:13:18
Speaker 1: That's a cowardice.
02:13:19
Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
02:13:21
Speaker 1: You're speaking when you're winning. You're running like a.
02:13:23
Speaker 2: Bitch when you're not. Stay in. Ant-Man lost.
02:13:28
Speaker 1: Eight men lost.
02:13:29
Speaker 2: They still up there. Three.
02:13:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, we ain't worried about this. Yeah, we shot somebody.
02:13:33
Speaker 2: We're going to get their ass next time.
02:13:34
Speaker 1: They standing on business.
02:13:35
Speaker 5: I never seen somebody lose like a winner. How the fuck you lose like a winner?
02:13:38
Speaker 2: Don't talk shit like one of these. Don't talk shit when you win.
02:13:41
Speaker 10: I never lost in being a winner after because I'm shaking your fucking hand.
02:13:44
Speaker 2: Don't talk shit.
02:13:45
Speaker 4: When you win.
02:13:46
Speaker 2: If I lost, I lost. I'm getting the fuck out of it. Don't talk shit when you win, though.
02:13:49
Speaker 1: Yes, I'm a winner.
02:13:51
Speaker 2: How you going to control somebody's happiness?
02:13:52
Speaker 1: You're a front runner. You're a front runner. This is crazy, man. You don't fucking win.
02:13:57
Speaker 2: I win.
02:13:57
Speaker 1: I can talk shit if I lose.
02:13:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll lock that motherfucker up.
02:14:00
Speaker 1: I don't need to go up to you.
02:14:00
Speaker 2: And be like, oh, man, you whooped my ass. Thank you for whooping my ass.
02:14:04
Speaker 1: I'm out of here.
02:14:05
Speaker 2: I'm so happy you whooped my ass, man. Have fun.
02:14:08
Speaker 1: No, motherfucker.
02:14:09
Speaker 2: All right, it's over. I'll catch you next time, nigga.
02:14:11
Speaker 1: I'm out of here. I'm about to kiss your ass for whipping my ass.
02:14:13
Speaker 4: And then you win, and then your ass is going to celebrate outside.
02:14:16
Speaker 2: People kill people for losing fights.
02:14:18
Speaker 1: I want to celebrate.
02:14:19
Speaker 2: What are you talking about? That's the same thing.
02:14:21
Speaker 10: You beat me up, I come and kill you. That's how people do. How can you control somebody's emotions after losing?
02:14:28
Speaker 2: I don't need to kiss your ass for losing. You're calling me out, bro. But I don't care.
02:14:32
Speaker 4: So if you're calling me out and you win, you brag.
02:14:35
Speaker 10: I don't have to kiss your ass for beating me. I don't have to be who you want me to be.
02:14:40
Speaker 1: No, be who you are.
02:14:42
Speaker 4: If you say you're going to stop me, you're running.
02:14:49
Speaker 1: You're in the media.
02:14:50
Speaker 4: You're in the media talking shit. You're in the media talking shit.
02:14:56
Speaker 2: You are.
02:14:57
Speaker 4: And then when it don't work your way, you don't want to be. So go answer them questions after. Don't ask them questions. Don't talk for the media, period.
02:15:05
Speaker 1: Go answer them questions after you lose them.
02:15:07
Speaker 2: How are you going to answer questions when you're winning? I don't like people controlling who people are.
02:15:11
Speaker 4: If you're talking to the media while you're winning, you need to talk to.
02:15:14
Speaker 1: Them folks while you're losing. You can't control who people are.
02:15:16
Speaker 10: You can't make a whole judgment of somebody's character because they don't do what you want them to do.
02:15:21
Speaker 1: You want to talk to the media after you lose. I've never seen no slave shit in my life.
02:15:25
Speaker 2: Slave shit?
02:15:26
Speaker 1: Why do you think he said no?
02:15:27
Speaker 4: I can't respect you as a man if when you call me out.
02:15:32
Speaker 2: I let you talk. I let you talk.
02:15:35
Speaker 4: You calling me out When you got the best of me, you brag in the media.
02:15:41
Speaker 1: When I got the best of you, you run.
02:15:45
Speaker 2: You hide.
02:15:47
Speaker 4: And I'm supposed to respect you as a person, as a defender?
02:15:50
Speaker 1: I can't.
02:15:51
Speaker 4: Then you beat me game three, you want to brag again. I beat you game four, you don't want to talk.
02:15:58
Speaker 2: Game five, I won.
02:16:00
Speaker 1: I'm bragging again.
02:16:01
Speaker 2: Game six, you lost. Your ass is hiding in the house.
02:16:04
Speaker 1: Nah, man, you don't stand on business, dog. I can't respect you on that one.
02:16:09
Speaker 2: I mean, the media is a frontrunner.
02:16:11
Speaker 1: The media is our job. Do your thing.
02:16:14
Speaker 2: You win. If you're talking shit before the series, you win. Talk the shit. If you lose, talk shit. That's like a box of Hulu.
02:16:21
Speaker 1: Talk shit to somebody.
02:16:21
Speaker 2: Understand what we're talking about. Talking shit to somebody. It doesn't matter.
02:16:30
Speaker 1: It does matter. If you lose and you leave without talking to somebody, what's the difference? Because I'm calling you out as a man.
02:16:37
Speaker 2: I'm calling you out because I'm hitting your hand. I'm fucking him up. This is what I'm doing. I'm bragging about it. I'm bragging about it. I'm bragging about it. No, he asked the question. Now the media wants to know, hey, it didn't work, so what's up?
02:16:49
Speaker 1: What's the difference when I leave, when I lose?
02:16:52
Speaker 10: It don't matter how I lost. If I leave and not talk to the media, it's the same thing. Draymond did that shit plenty of times.
02:16:59
Speaker 4: I'm bragging about what I did. I'm bragging about what I did to this man, and we.
02:17:03
Speaker 1: Stopped him, and this is my angle. He played well, so it didn't work.
02:17:09
Speaker 4: So, hey, are you going to change up your– Nick, there's a difference.
02:17:13
Speaker 1: You keep bringing Draymond in, right?
02:17:15
Speaker 3: So Draymond is not talking to them because he's coming on his own platform. He's going to tell the people what they want to know. It's a different story. Dylan Brooks ain't got no platform to go tell people, well, yeah, I know I said this during game two with Steph's thumb. It didn't work out, but this is what happened. He's not doing that, right?
02:17:34
Speaker 2: He's just running.
02:17:35
Speaker 3: Can't ask no questions after they lost is what they do is what I'm under dog, right? This is what I'm guys. Like I said, yeah, I wasn't a motherfucking hunky-dory.
02:17:43
Speaker 4: Y'all just beat me type of kind of guy. I never listen Most of the some of the time if we was down in the fourth quarter when that motherfucker going down I'm off the bench walking to the back already But consistent, though.
02:17:55
Speaker 5: Consistent either way.
02:17:57
Speaker 4: I think that's the most important. I wasn't a big shit talker. I played a certain game. We're watching other players. We're watching Shea talk about the games. They lose, they talk about, yeah, we just got to do better, boom, boom, boom. But if you're calling people out and you're trying to stand on something... And you're the first.
02:18:14
Speaker 1: One to run.
02:18:15
Speaker 4: Like, if we say, who is the loudest people in this series?
02:18:20
Speaker 1: There's going to be two. You just said that's not calling people out. You just said Ant-Man called LeBron out.
02:18:24
Speaker 2: No, Ant-Man called Kyrie out. You just said something about him.
02:18:27
Speaker 1: Hold on, dog. Hold on. We got to make up our mind.
02:18:30
Speaker 4: When Ant-Man called out Kyrie and Kyrie bust his ass, was Ant-Man available?
02:18:36
Speaker 1: He was available, right? He spoke, right? Right.
02:18:40
Speaker 2: He answered them questions, right?
02:18:42
Speaker 4: He didn't run and hide in a car because the Kyrie got the best of him. After he called Kyrie out, after he called Kyrie out and Kyrie gave him the business every game, he spoke every game. This is going to make me better. That's why people respect that. If you calling me out and it don't work your way. And they trying to ask you questions and you're hiding and you're running and you're walking home. That's not respectable. Then just shut the fuck up and don't bring nobody up.
02:19:15
Speaker 1: No, I get it.
02:19:16
Speaker 2: That's it. Just shut the fuck up. What is calling people out? What did he say to call Steph out?
02:19:23
Speaker 1: Please tell me.
02:19:24
Speaker 10: He said he's trying to win and hit somebody's hand.
02:19:27
Speaker 1: I'm going to win by any means.
02:19:29
Speaker 5: That's not calling nobody out.
02:19:30
Speaker 1: You didn't win by any means. What is he talking about? You didn't win.
02:19:33
Speaker 10: That's not calling nobody out. Stop doing that. You didn't win. I'm hitting his hand. I'm trying to win by any means necessary. I need to talk to you about that.
02:19:46
Speaker 2: The fuck y'all doing? offended by me trying to win. You didn't win. Y'all sound like pussies, nigga. You didn't win. Answer the question. Okay, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I tried to hit your hand.
02:19:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, say that. I'm sorry. Say that. Say that.
02:20:02
Speaker 4: When you was doing it, you was talking to them. You was talking to them when it affected Steph, right? When it affected Steph, when it affected Steph, you was happy to talk.
02:20:16
Speaker 2: No harm. Now it didn't affect him. He brushed his ass.
02:20:20
Speaker 1: Now talk. Now talk. Why aren't you talking now?
02:20:23
Speaker 2: Why aren't you talking now?
02:20:24
Speaker 1: I'm sorry I tried to hit your hand.
02:20:25
Speaker 2: Why aren't you talking now?
02:20:27
Speaker 1: This is crazy, boy.
02:20:29
Speaker 2: How do you feel about James Harden not talking to the media?
02:20:33
Speaker 1: Same thing.
02:20:34
Speaker 2: After three straight losses.
02:20:37
Speaker 1: No, no, no. Not talking to the media is your cool.
02:20:40
Speaker 4: But don't talk to the media when it's good and beneficial to you.
02:20:45
Speaker 5: So didn't talk to the media after three straight losses.
02:20:48
Speaker 4: Like, if you don't talk to the media, you don't talk to the media. But don't go in here like, if Brunson came in, this motherfucker said.
02:20:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, we up 2-0.
02:20:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, they're going to come down to New York. We're going to bust their motherfucker and be on that shit.
02:21:00
Speaker 1: And then you lose.
02:21:02
Speaker 2: And then you run out of the match. And he say that. He said he hit his head. I'm trying to win. So what are you talking about? He did not say none of that shit y'all talking about.
02:21:10
Speaker 4: You speaking on what you're doing to this man and how you won the game. Okay.
02:21:15
Speaker 2: Game seven. It didn't work.
02:21:17
Speaker 1: Okay, so what's up, Dylan Brooks? Oh, you're out of the building.
02:21:19
Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
02:21:20
Speaker 4: You can't stand it. That shit that you said didn't work again. Can you talk about it? No, you're gone. You're gone. You're gone.
02:21:27
Speaker 1: All right. Now I got to see you next year.
02:21:29
Speaker 2: You can't stand on business.
02:21:31
Speaker 1: Not respectable. All right.
02:21:35
Speaker 4: Yeah.
02:21:35
Speaker 2: Yeah.
02:21:36
Speaker 10: Call them out by saying I'm trying to win a game. By any means necessary. That's calling somebody out. By any means necessary?
02:21:42
Speaker 1: Yes.
02:21:43
Speaker 2: You're saying how you stopped me.
02:21:44
Speaker 1: I don't know what calling people out means no more.
02:21:47
Speaker 5: Well, speaking of respect, we'll keep this thing moving. We want to show some respect to Hall of Fame coach Greg Popovich.
02:21:52
Speaker 2: Stay on business!
02:21:53
Speaker 5: Who stood on business during his time. Announced his retirement as Spurs head coach. After 29 seasons, he'll transition to a front office role as team president. Pop suffered a mild stroke back in November, which caused him to miss the rest of the season. So Pop offered these thoughts in a statement released by the team last week on his retirement. He said, while my love and passion for the game remain, I've decided it's time to step away as head coach. I'm forever grateful to the wonderful players, coaches, staff, and fans who allowed me to serve them as a Spurs head coach, and I'm excited for the opportunity to continue to support the organization, community, and city that are so meaningful to me. Pop's The NBA is winning its coach with 1,422 regular season victories, third all-time with 170 postseason wins to go along with five championships. Pop led the Spurs to 22 consecutive playoff seasons from 1998 to 2019, including winning at least 50 games in 18 straight seasons. Also three-time coach of the year during his time at the helm in San Antonio. So he was the oldest coach in the league. He turned 76 back in January. He signed a five-year extension with San Antonio, summer of 2023, that aligned with Wimby. becoming the number one pick. But Mitch Johnson, who served as head coach after Pop's stroke, will be the Spurs' next head coach. So after Pop announced his retirement, Wimby showed his love with the following tweet. This is what Wimby had to say. 29 years, Coach, thank you for your wisdom, for your leadership, for the culture you created, but most importantly, for being a great and inspiring person. It was an honor to be a part of those 29 years, wishing you the best on your new chapter. So Pop met with the media on Monday and shed some light on his new role with the team.
02:23:32
Speaker 2: I want to make.
02:23:33
Speaker 1: Sure everybody understands.
02:23:36
Speaker 2: What a new job is. I'm no longer a coach. I'm El Jefe.
02:23:43
Speaker 1: You're popular.
02:23:51
Speaker 5: No longer a coach, El Jefe. Can you start with you? You had some battle with the Spurs in your times in the league with Pop Squad. What's Pop's legacy during his time as Spurs head coach?
02:24:01
Speaker 1: All right.
02:24:01
Speaker 2: All right.
02:24:03
Speaker 3: Besides the basketball, he's just a great person, right? Got to be around him a little bit during USA Basketball. Just his energy and his wit, his enthusiasm for creating men, right? He's not only enthused about the basketball part of it, but you as a young man and helping you become a man and from a lot of people that's come through that organization has benefited from that, right? From him in those moments when they needed him, you know what I'm saying? So if there was something like during my 15 year career that I could have done, if I could have controlled the narrative, I would have played for Pop, right? He was one of them coaches that I think my game and my, who I was would have worked well with And, you know, in fact, five-time champion, did it with second-round picks and less talent than a lot of teams had. That speaks to his genius and his way to get guys to buy in to what he's preaching. Yeah, and I saw something in his tenure as head coach. There's been over 300 other head coaches in the NBA.
02:25:31
Speaker 5: Yep.
02:25:33
Speaker 1: That's remarkable in itself, man. So, yeah. I'm trying not to tell Nick shut the fuck up.
