Speaker 1: The most valuable commodity I know of is information. Wouldn't you agree? I got five dollars, this is a regular one. How many tackles can one man break? You're saying that humans need fantasy to make life bearable? Humans need fantasy to be humans. My goodness, that was good. You guys are pros. The best. Relentless, refusing to give up. Alright, hit that horn, babe.
00:00:33
Speaker 2: Let's dance.
00:00:33
Speaker 1: Welcome to the Fantasy Facts Podcast from Action Network and Fantasy Labs. I'm your host, Kevin Mosser. NFL Week 2 is here, and I'm joined by one of the most accurate anchors in the game, Sean Kerner, the odds maker. Sean, how's it going? How was your week 1?
00:00:47
Speaker 2: It was excellent. Had some great calls, had some bad calls. Pretty much broke even on my bets, which is... Totally fine. I think for week one, my goal is always survive and advance. It's all about the takeaways from week one that are important to me. Finally, having a full week's worth of data allows us to see what coaches are thinking, what the rotations are expected to be, things like that. Then everyone's going to overreact to the actual results. Week two is always one of my favorites. And congrats, by the way, on Tyler Shuck just absolutely going off this week, vindicating your top five rank. So that was great stuff.
00:01:32
Speaker 1: We take the good with the bad. Chris Godwin call was pretty bad. The top 12. I did drop him to 14 or so, but nothing too far down. That was just a shocker in a game where 60 combined points. Buka, Godwin both had duds. Bucky Irving was the only playable or only decent Buccaneer in fantasy. And then on the opposite end, Chase Higgins or Duds. That was just a weird game. So we're moving on. The Shuck call even, that could have gone any way after the first half. That could have been the worst call of all time. But 400 plus yards. Overtime helped. But I thought the Lions... Were you surprised by the Lions offense in that first half? I was watching it and Jameson Williams dropped at least three passes, it felt like. So that was a weird start.
00:02:16
Speaker 2: To the game. Weird, weird start. Yeah, Shuck was awful in the first half. It meant like, dropped back to pass 100 times in the second half. That's kind of what you expect from any Lions game. Their defense is missing both safeties, Joseph and Branch. So I kind of figured that'd be the case. But I had Shuck over 16 and a half rushing yards. I wasn't too thrilled with his inability to decide to leave the pocket. I mean, he dropped back like 100 times, and I think he scrambled once.
00:02:51
Speaker 1: Um, so hopefully eight, eight yards was mediocre.
00:02:56
Speaker 2: Uh, yeah, I think a couple of those were designed, you know, like nice little three yard design runs, but I was kind of surprised. They didn't use that more, especially no taste in Hill. Uh, not that, you know, they're going to give all those taste in Hill design runs to shuck, but like, I was kind of surprised. They just, you know, let them drop back. So he was like essentially Jared Goff South, uh, in that game, just throwing it a hundred times, just complete mall Santa, uh, But this week, guaranteed, he's going to rush for like 60 yards now that I'm not betting his over anymore. But yeah, that's good to see. You kind of love to see that they just let him keep dropping back, even though it was pretty close. They weren't down a ton. And he was just slinging it. So the running back rotation was bizarre, not going to lie. But it seems like, yeah, Shuck's going to be dropping back a shit ton more times than not.
00:03:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, that defense... pretty questionable. Both these defenses. That's why I was so high on this game. I thought it would, I thought there would be fireworks in the first half. Uh, you never know with week one, really. And I mean, Hey, like you were saying, we have some superlatives. The Ram super team was fake. Uh, the giants are going to win the NFC East. Uh, chiefs are going to win five more super bowls in a row, et cetera, et cetera. Uh, or what? Like, Ash and Jante is the greatest running back all time, which is a crazy one.
00:04:15
Speaker 2: Actually, that might be true. Who knows?
00:04:17
Speaker 1: That one might be true, actually. So that's that's on me. But oh, Bears offense, the greatest ever. So like, yeah, it's week one. There's some crazy things that happen. So we'll see what's sustainable, what's not. Most crazy spikes typically aren't unless they're from like elite players that we already know are elite. Like Kalief Raymond had a 34% target share. You're wearing your Bears hat. I don't think that's going to happen every week. I don't think anywhere close to that. I don't think he's going to hit 10%. So that's just shit happens. That's football. That's life. Colson, Loveland, Luther, Burton, Romo, Dunes, a nut. I mean, Loveland had a goose egg. That was disgusting in my starting lineup. I wish I started your boy, Michael Mayer, but what can you do? We, we will love it.
00:05:03
Speaker 2: A goose egg in a game with like, they basically scored 59 points. Unbelievable. That's, That's why I love football. Anything can happen any given week. But Loveland was out there. He ran a route, what, 84% of the dropbacks? That's all we could ask for.
00:05:19
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:05:19
Speaker 2: You got to trust me on him.
00:05:21
Speaker 1: He's healthy.
00:05:22
Speaker 2: He'll bounce back. And he's healthy. He's healthy.
00:05:24
Speaker 1: That's what matters. All of these guys. After week one, my big thing is, are these guys healthy? And are they like Lad and Zay? Am I worried? Yeah, I'm worried because they're hurt. They both had good games. Zay had an amazing game. He was going for 200 before he had the hammy. But, yeah, I'm worried about those guys because they're hurt. I'm not worried about Colston Loveland or Burden. Rome had a really good deep pass. I guess Marvin Harrison Jr. is maybe someone I'm worried on after a one-target game. Oh, yeah. A really nice target, a downfield shot 33 yards. But beyond that, it's still hard to parse who we're panicking on or who we're out on. But we just had a waiver wire episode yesterday. And my big takeaway for waiver wire is week one, essentially. is the best pickups are going to come from the guys that are dropped in the next week or two.
00:06:11
Speaker 2: So keep an eye out on that.
00:06:13
Speaker 1: I think you agree with that, right?
00:06:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a great call. I didn't think of that, but yeah, look for people just getting pissed off, dropping guys. Well, you know, maybe you can pry away a guy like, yeah, a little trade out there. Cause again, people are going to overreact to week one, uh, always have always will. So I think you got to kind of, uh, be an opportunist, take advantage of the panic and the overreacting or underreacting, whichever direction we're reacting. But yeah, week one, I mean, if you look at who was like the leading wide receiver in week one last year, tight end, uh, if you want a good laugh, go check that out.
00:06:50
Speaker 1: Uh, uh, so yeah, Hollywood Brown, 16 targets week one last year.
00:06:56
Speaker 2: Whew. So yeah, cause rice was like, I'm trying to remember what was going on, but that did make sense at the time. but just goes to show there's 16, 17 more weeks, depending on how you want to look at it. The cream's going to rise back to the top.
00:07:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, totally. Totally. Yeah. We're not panicking. And it's also kind of too soon to say buy low on anyone. Obviously, if someone's panicking on Loveland and Waddle in your league and you can see it, yeah, they're clear buys. But at the same time, it's like to make like certain stances after one week, two, three weeks, definitely we'll get to our buy lows and guys were, we're going to be targeting for the rest of the season. In today's episode, we're going to be diving into the top five at each skill position and discuss the players we're especially high or low on this week. It's going to be a recurring episode. We had our first one last week. It went pretty well for both of us. Sean, start us off at quarterback. Who's your top five?
00:08:03
Speaker 2: All right, I got Josh Allen back to his rightful throne at QB1. Then I got Lamar Jackson, Caleb Williams, Jalen Hurts, and Jaden Daniels. Nice.
00:08:14
Speaker 1: Oh, Caleb Williams against the Vikings. You have top five already. I mean, that was an incredible week. His rushing was sick. I don't think I'm too far off. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels, Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy. I don't have Caleb in my top five. Uh, I don't have him too low. He's in my top 10. So I'm not saying Caleb's not a start, but that Vikings defense.
00:08:34
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:08:34
Speaker 1: Christian Watson went off. Jordan Love went off. Uh, but they don't have the running game that the bears do and that they can rely on between Swift and Menungai. Menungai being healthy and looking as good as he did after dealing with what was it? A hamstring in the off season was incredible. So, um, I don't expect the bears to be firing early and often like the Packers last week. to get to that lead and that they lost ridiculous game. Their defense is horrible. Bears defense is horrible too. So Caleb could definitely have a good game, but I really like the commanders Cowboys game. That's why I have Jane Daniels and Dak Prescott. I have the over 50 and a half on that. Would you be open to Dak Prescott in your top five by the end of the week? Do you think you could find him there? Yeah.
00:09:19
Speaker 2: I figured I'd ask if I was interested in the over. Yeah, I can get behind that as well. uh, let's make some money here. But yeah, I, I like if I make a small tweak for me, Jalen hurts is kind of the tricky projection at Tennessee. Uh, cause I don't know, like if they're going to stay in it, have to throw. If I just make one slight tweak, which I just did, I have Jaden and Dak in my top five. Uh, cause I'm, I'm seeing the same thing. Like I think Dak's going to bounce back. Both defenses, you know, are below average. Uh, This could be a shootout. Kind of like Shuck and Goff last week. Anytime one team goes off, the other kind of has to match that. So yeah, I think Jaden and Dak are kind of going to bounce back with big games this week, but I just, I mean, I love Caleb Williams, love Lamar, love Josh Allen. So it's going to be a, you know, stacked top five, but yeah, that game's sneaky high scoring. It's in Jerry's world.
00:10:14
Speaker 1: Yeah. So yeah, I'm really excited for that. That's probably my favorite game. on this coming week to slate, uh, locking in for DFS draft games on underdog, just trying to stack up as many of these guys as I can. Uh, Jane Daniels naked. That's fine too. Like going with him and pick ins and Javon too. I think that's going to be a fun one. And I'm really excited. You mentioned Jalen hurts. I kind of feel the same about Brock Purdy, but, uh, I don't know if Miami, I feel like can score a few more points than Tennessee right now. After watching both of them in week one, Malik Willis and cam word, which feels ridiculous given that board was the first overall pick. And, you know, he's after Will Levis. He's the Tennessee replacement. But I trust Malik Willis to put up points more than Cam Ward, especially Cam Ward against the Eagles. So I think that could be more of a Saquon game. But I have Jalen Hurts in my top five. So it's... Maybe it's Tank. Maybe they finally get Tank out there because, you know, they're up by so much. Last week in a game they were leading. So I think it's still the Saquon show. Will Shipley, actually. That was pretty annoying in the last two minutes of the first half.
00:11:17
Speaker 2: But.
00:11:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, quarterback. It feels like we're pretty in lockstep. Who are you high on this week or higher on than consensus?
00:11:23
Speaker 2: Well, I don't know where people have ranked this week, but I have Caleb as my QB three. And I do think this is a tough matchup. You know, they're facing the Vikings. You know, Flores is going to send, you know, a ton of blitzes, exotic looks. But I mean, Ben Johnson has schemed against Flores for a few years now. So maybe he has something up his sleeve here. But I just I'm super high. I was always super high on Caleb. Last year, he was my most drafted quarterback. But this year, he was so expensive. It's hard to get him that much. Plus, I like Trevor Lawrence more at cost. But I'm super high on Luther Burton, obviously. Super high on Colson Loveland. I still love Roma Dunze as a talent. And kind of all three guys disappointed this week. And Caleb still ended up as the QB1. I think this could be just an absolutely insane season for him because... Ben Johnson already said that he's going after the season scoring record. So 59 points in week one, off to a great start. But this defense is so bad that they're going to have to score a bunch of points. So kind of have this good dynamic here for the offensive players. I always say you kind of want fancy players on teams with horrible defenses because it means they're going to have to keep driving up the score. So we have that with the Bears. They're just loaded with talent. Caleb can score from anywhere, whether it's throwing or running it himself. And they had six rushing touchdowns. He had two of them. But that was four rushing touchdowns to Swift and Monongai, where any one of those could have gone to Caleb in some way. So he just has so much upside. And Loveland had a goose egg, so... I think even against the Vikings, that that's how I'd put it is like, even against the Vikings, I haven't been set my top five, but on some weeks, you know, he might be my QB one overall. Um, this is kind of one of those tricky things to cap back when I actually worked for a sports book in Vegas. It was the year where Tom Brady, it was the perfect season where, um, we didn't even float totals for people to bet on until Sunday morning. Uh, because it just, everybody would bet the over and win. Um, If you remember, I think it was Peyton Manning's second year with the Broncos. Oh, yeah. All the wide receivers ate. And it was like sportsbooks were having trouble just adjusting to just how high scoring those games were going to be. I think the Bears could be like that early on this year.
00:13:58
Speaker 1: That's music. That's music to the fans' ears.
00:14:01
Speaker 2: Just because the defense is so bad. I adjusted their total, their game total projection in my rankings by like five or six points. So it's just there's so much upside in this offense because of that, that, yeah, I'm super high on Caleb Williams. Congrats if you drafted him. But yeah, this week, you know, if there were a week for him to struggle, it would be here against the Vikings. But I think the infrastructure here is so good that I think he's going to survive tough matchups. So, yeah, it'll be fun to watch. We'll see what happens. But man, the upside for Caleb right now is super high.
00:14:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, Brian Flores, I respect him. I trust him to figure out ways to get at Caleb, make him uncomfortable. And it's more so like, how competitive do the Vikings make it even against this putrid Bears defense? Carson Wentz probably starting after Kyler's concussion. Jordan Mason dealing with a sore thumb. We're going to follow him. Throughout the week, that running game is not going to be as good without him, even though I do like the third string running back, Demon Claiborne. This is just a weird situation where it's like, I do respect the defense. I don't trust their offense to even put up like, they'll put up points, but is it going to be super competitive? Do the Bears take a commanding lead early? And then can they rack it up? Can they just, I mean, I don't think they're going to score 59 points against the Vikings. Let's see if they get to 30. But still starting Caleb, of course, if you have him. He was just so good. And those legs. I mean, he just offers so much upside. But the guy I'm higher on is Baker Mayfield. Home versus the Browns. This was in the QB streamer waiver episode recently. Somewhat of a revenge game for him. I think he still holds that bad blood. Sounds like he is very petty. We know this. This is not shocking from Baker. And on top of that, Trevor Lawrence just put up four touchdowns on 23 pass attempts with 13 yards per attempt. Uh, Baker has a Beckett getting healthier. He, he didn't show out last week, but he showed he was healthy. Uh, put up about 64 yards. Still has a Chris Godwin who only had four targets, but about 40 yards on those targets, which is really good. Uh, might have Jalen McMillan back. Um, Bucky Irving looks like Bucky Irving again. Maybe Kenneth Gainwell gets more involved in the passing game. They have their weapons. The Browns defense is not as good without miles Garrett. They're still respectable, but that offense is just going to put them in so many predicaments, bad field position. Well, good for the Buccaneers. And yeah, I would definitely be considering streaming Baker. I'm going to have him in my top 10, probably in my final ranking because he's just outside right now. But the more I talk about him, the higher I'm getting. How are you feeling on Baker, Sean?
00:16:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, again, I gave him out on the waiver pod. I think he does bounce back this week. You know, Ibuka missed a couple of weeks of practice, so they'll be in better sync here. Your guy, Chris Godwin, should bounce back. So that's on me. Uh, it's, uh, that's every week I had Justin Herbert, my QB one. So, you know, crazier things have happened, but, um, yeah, just with Baker, you know, he has rushing upside if he wants to tap into it and that's what he was. Uh, but he just couldn't hang onto the ball. Uh, maybe it was like too humid there or something, but something was up. But again, he's a guy that I trust when it bounced back and this is against his, former team in the Browns. So I think he's going to be up for this and bounce back with a good one.
00:17:31
Speaker 1: Definitely, definitely. Just really getting Igbuka healthy is the big thing here. And I'm excited for both of them throughout the rest of the season. But who are you not so excited about? Who are you lower on this week?
00:17:41
Speaker 2: Not that I was ever high on him, but Daniel Jones, my God, he looked like shit in week one. So he was one of the trickiest guys to project for me because, I mean, just remember this time last year, they looked like the best offense in the league for the first half of the season until he went down. So, you know, it was hard to forget that. But, you know, he is coming back from just a brutal injury to come back from, Achilles, especially for someone like him that has leaned on his legs throughout his career, but just didn't look right. The play calling looked bad. You know, I had him over 21 and a half completions, which was an absolute brutal beat. They were down by 20 points. They were still pounding Jonathan Taylor every play. But, man, he didn't look comfortable back there. He didn't want to scramble. There was one play where he realized, God, I have to scramble to get a first down. He looked like Jared Goff, Joe Flacco, where he's just like, please, dear God, let me make it four yards to get to the first down marker. So it just wasn't good. So if he's not going to be scrambling, we need him throwing the ball looking good, Just everything looked bad. And now he has to go to Arrowhead and face Spags, who I'm sure is going to have a good game plan for him. We saw him make Bo Nix look awful, who is also coming back from significant lower body injuries. So I think this is going to be a brutal spot for Jones here. I think maybe once he gets a little more comfortable towards midseason, we see some of that Daniel Jones from last year. but just did not see it. And Alec Pierce, looks like he hurt his wrist or something. I think having Alec Pierce healthy helps stretch the defense if he's out. I'm going to lower Daniel Jones even more, but just didn't love it. And yeah, again, he's QB 25 for me. I mean, he's down there with Drew Locke and Cam Orr and Deshaun Watson, just not a good start for anybody that was hoping we'd get to see some of that first half Daniel Jones this year.
00:19:53
Speaker 1: Definitely, yeah. The Chiefs defense, they lost Mansoor Delane pretty early in the game. He had the interception, but he had the shoulder injury. We'll monitor him. That's a big loss if they don't have him. But yeah, like you mentioned, Alec Pierce helped stretch the defense, but he's on a snap count. Josh Downs started off the game firing I think he had 37 yards and then didn't have another catch throughout the rest of the game that was disgusting to see in a game script like that like you mentioned you had the over that should have been a lock home versus the Ravens down 20 points throw the damn ball and one rush all game like you said the one where he was like I have to run just a really disappointing game he's probably not he's still not comfortable and the Chiefs are going to make him uncomfortable I I'm also with you. I'm low on Jones. I was low on him last week. I'm going to stay low on him until we see it. I have to see the juice back in Jones before I get him back into any range. I would be comfortable dropping him. I mean, if you have him as a backup for whatever reason. Yeah, you have to. Yeah, let go. Yeah. My guy I'm lower on this week is Joe Burrow. Not really... The matchup is definitely concerning. The Texans' defense, they got kind of... yeah, exposed by Josh Allen, but Josh Allen is such a talented rusher. He had two running touchdowns and Burrow can run. Obviously he's not like immobile. He's had his injuries, but he's not Josh Allen. That's not crazy to say that the Texans strength is their past defense. Yes. DJ Moore had a huge touchdown play. He had a big game, a hundred yards, but, but it was kind of like, it wasn't a broken play at all, but like, um, DB was going for the ball. It was a great throw by Allen, just pinpoint, but it is going to be tougher for Burrow this week. Total is 46.5. I'm on the under for that game. I think the Bengals' defense is actually really respectable, despite the Buccaneers putting up 27. Yeah, adding Dexter Lawrence, Brian Cook, their second and third round draft picks. Yeah, losing Trey Henderson is a big hit. They didn't have Shamar Stewart last week. We'll see what he's up to in coming weeks. But yeah, I respect this Bengals defense. Well, at least personnel. Texans defense still I respect greatly regardless of their week one. And I just don't think this is going to be the highest scoring game. The Texans want to run the ball with Montgomery. We saw his usage three touchdowns last week. So this could be slower paced. How do you feel on Burrow this week? And I'm still worried about Chase. I don't know. That was a weird game, and he had the knee injury a few weeks ago. So that was very odd.
00:22:27
Speaker 2: Yeah, very weird. And I didn't realize this. Yeah, I have him QB 17. That's got to be the lowest I've ever had him, if I can recall. But yeah, I think it's the matchup. Texans, I still respect them, even though they coughed up, what, 36 points? to the bills. Like you said, Josh Allen's a little bit different type of beast. You got to worry about him using his legs. So going to be a bit easier to game plan for Burrow. I wouldn't be shocked that Burrow were also overcome a brutal matchup, but yeah, I, yeah, I don't, I need to go back. I mean, it's still Tuesday, early Tuesday. I need to go back and watch some of that game to see what was up with Chase. I know Burrow was just targeting, you know, the running backs and tight ends at a higher rate. Maybe that was game plan specific or maybe, yeah, Chase is more banged up than we think, but it's hard to expect a bounce back against the Texans. So I'm with you there. Again, I have Burrow as more of like a mid-range QB too, which might be the lowest he's ranked all year.
00:23:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, likewise. He's about in the same range for me. And he has the Mike Gesicki game. That was crazy. But I guess Tampa has kind of been pretty weak against tight ends for a while now. And I just look at burrow and i'm like i'd much rather start baker i'd rather start a bunch of guys obviously ahead of him you probably don't have the the higher end quarterbacks but who knows or brock maybe you have a brock birdie i definitely trust him over burrow this week and yeah if burrow goes off he goes off and you're not shocked and if you have him it's hard to bench like i didn't bench drake may last week despite having him at qb 18 just because i'm like i drafted him in the third round or not the third round he was He was drafted as QB three. It's week one. I don't want to get too cute. Sometimes it's okay to get a little cute, especially when there's monster matchups on, on the slate, but moving on running back. Who's your top five for week two? Yeah.
00:24:24
Speaker 2: So I got Jameer Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, King Henry. My God, people that keep assuming the age curves are coming for Henry. You were paying for it dearly. Once again, what an absolute monster. And then Kenneth Walker III. I was kind of in line with him on ADP, but I did write in my big running back article, it wouldn't shock me if he has Derek Henry to Baltimore his first season, or Saquon Barkley his first season in Philly. Remember those? Just a guy changing teams, just changing the dynamic. I wish I had Walker ranked higher. I knew he had this upside, but What a week one. So he's my running back for, and then Jonathan Taylor, uh, round out my top five.
00:25:13
Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm not too far off. Bijan Gibbs, CMC, Derek Henry, John Taylor. I know CMC didn't have the usage in week one, 55% snaps, but this matchup against Miami, they're not in Australia. Uh, CMC looked like he had some juice, like second half of the game. I was impressed. And that was against the Rams. So I, I really want to, you know, see the usage and, uh, I just trust the matchup. I love this spot for the 49ers. I like all the 49ers pretty much. Who knows? Maybe Kittle even has a game. Looking at what the Raiders did to Miami last week, I can't imagine what Shanahan and company can do with Purdy and CMC, etc. I don't have Kenneth Walker in my top five, but I might have to swap him with Jonathan Taylor. GameScript's going to favor Walker. Jonathan Taylor, you mentioned, he still had the usage despite the terrible game script for rushing. Uh, but at a certain point they have to be forced to throw. And maybe it was kind of a week one game plan. Get Daniel Jones's sea legs back under him. Uh, but yeah, Jonathan Taylor, he's not swapping out with anyone. Whereas like Emma Johnson looked really damn good, especially as a receiving back in week one. And they definitely mixed it up. Johnson had some week, uh, like early, uh, Early first half. He had a first quarter touch. He had three touches in the first half. So they definitely mix up the running backs more than the Colts do. And yeah, we'll see. We're parsing five and six here. I'm not going too crazy. But who are you higher on in general this week?
00:26:48
Speaker 2: I'm going to go with Kalen Black, who I mentioned him in the League Winner pod. I said that he has league winning upside. if CMC were to ever miss time, but probably can't trust him as long as CMC's healthy. But sure enough, week one, he was out there way more than anybody expected against the Rams in a tough game. But I think, you know, as it turns out, McCaffrey was dealing with cramps. So it was crazy that he was able to even play through that. But I think it just goes to show that Shanahan trusts Black. So he might mix in more than your typical McCaffrey backup or handcuff. Jordan James was inactive, I believe. So it's, I mean, Kalen Black is the clear number two running back where, especially this week against the Dolphins, they're at home against the Dolphins. They're favored by like 14 points. If there ever a game to, you know, limit McCaffrey again, it would be here. Plus, you know, Stribling's done for, you know, a few weeks here. Kittle, they probably still want to limit him. This is a week where I think you can actually start Kalen Black as an RB3 flex play because he's probably going to get double-digit touches, hopefully, if things go according to plan. He showed enough juice where you could probably get some usable scores if he gets double-digit touches. Plus, they trust him as a pass blocker, pass catcher. So he could mix in a lot more than people think. Plus, you know, the Niners, they were just in Australia. They're jet lag. If they're ever weak, and especially if McCaffrey was dealing with cramps, if they're ever weak to kind of limit him, it would be here. So I think the black could be a similar role this week as last week. So I think I'd be, you know, more willing to kind of roll the dice on him as a flex play. And again, if McCaffrey were to actually miss time, I mean, Black would be... Now we're talking RB1 upside. He'd be a fringe RB1, RB2. Because Shanahan doesn't play games. He's not going to have Black and Jordan James split carries. He would just have Black be the McCaffrey role, basically, is how Shanahan likes to utilize even backups when they get a spot start. So I think Black is just one of those guys where he's got to be on your bench. But weeks like this, you might even be able to play him.
00:29:23
Speaker 1: Yeah. No, I'm with you. He's definitely in the RB30s range for me as well. In consideration for a start, depending on how your team looks, if they have any injuries, if you drafted a bunch of upside on your bench that's not really startable yet, yeah, Black's in play. But someone draft regularly that I would be definitely starting this week is Corey Kroski-Merritt, Bill, as the folks like to call him. He's about RB25 for me this week. Could definitely rise. I'm just still working out the kinks in my rankings. but yeah, this matchup after a 17 touch week last week, he only had one catch for negative seven yards. It was really funny, but he got the touchdown. That was a game they were trailing and he got 17 touches with 16 rushes. Um, they definitely trust him. They still mixed in Rashad white on passing downs. Katron Allen had a few rushes too, but, uh, they're definitely trying to reestablish themselves as a rushing team. And this game against Dallas, like I mentioned, I have the over, I love Jane Daniels still. Uh, I, I want to start as many guys as I can in Dallas versus Washington. This is a really good spot for Krosky Merritt, Terry, Stephon Diggs. Chig might be out, so that opens up more receiving opportunities for the team. Where are you at with Bill?
00:30:44
Speaker 2: I think this is going to be a higher scoring game, so I think he's going to benefit. He's going to be game script dependent so i'm gonna like him more if you really expect the commanders to be playing with a big lead because you know rashad well first of all bill's not really a pass catching back but rashad white's really mixing a lot more than people wanted but katron allen uh i think he had two snaps at the goal line uh that guy's a monster so if he ends up being the goal line back then it could be bill just getting the touches inside the 20s which isn't great. Uh, but he's a type of back that he could score from anywhere on the field. So I think he's going to be, um, more volatile than your typical starting running back, but a week like this against Cowboys, uh, especially against that defense, uh, wouldn't shock me if he does, you know, score a longer touchdown. Uh, but long-term like, again, he's going to be kind of inconsistent and kind of tricky to rank, but this, this would be a good spot to roll the dice on him.
00:31:45
Speaker 1: Yeah. It sounds like we're in lockstep here and yeah, they definitely ran that rotation. He only had 48% of the snaps. But yeah, 17 touches on 48% of the snaps is pretty damn good. And yeah, that was a trailing game against a much tougher defense in Philadelphia than Dallas. But who are you lower on this week?
00:32:01
Speaker 2: Jeremiah Love opens the week as my RB 33, which is a shame because, I mean, he looked great when he was out there. He bailed fantasy managers out with that touchdown. But if he didn't have that touchdown, that would have been a huge dud. The underlying usage wasn't great at all, but we kind of expected that because it was kind of, you know, he's fortunate to even suit up. He had that ankle injury late in the camp. So he was iffy for week one. Even if he did play, we were expecting him to be limited. But, you know, Tyler Algier still had, you know, six more carries in love. Algier was also mixing in more on passing plays than I expected. So, you know, Love was operating as the backup, essentially, which is not good for a top 15 running back in ADP. And now they play the Seahawks. So this is just a brutal matchup. I think eventually Love's talent will see through and health, and he's going to be more of a horseback towards later in the season, hopefully. But I think Tyler Algier is going to be a thorn in his side for the time being. So in tougher spots like this, I kind of want to be lower than Love. But he's so talented, he could still produce in a limited role in a tough matchup. I just can't project him inside my top 30 right now. So play it a little safe. And like I said, he's all the way down to RB 33 for me, which is a surprise.
00:33:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, if you look at Jameer Gibbs' rookie season, he hit 15 touches once in his first month of games. So it's like, it's not crazy for a rookie, rookie RB to be limited in usage, especially coming off the high ankle. Um, I'm definitely lower on love too. I might be a little bit higher on him than you. So that's not really saying much. It's about the same range, but I'm lower on Tony Pollard. He's outside my top 40 hated the usage last week. I thought that would be somewhat, I thought the jets would win, but I was like, I thought it'd be a closer game than what ended up happening in the Titans scoring 10 points. and Cam Ward looking just as bad as ever, despite playing a, uh, not great jet secondary, uh, very, uh, putrid Tennessee Titans offense. I don't know if they, I don't know how they bounce back against the Eagles this week. I doubt it. And yeah, Paul, Paulard is just, no shot I'm starting him, no shot I'm ranking him over like Caleb Black even, who might get the same amount of touches just seeing what Pollard did last week. So where do you feel on Pollard? And would you consider him at all?
00:34:40
Speaker 2: Absolutely not. No, he's RB36 for me. And he's also, he's tied to, you know, Cam Ward and the Titans needing some occasional lead. Tajay Spears kind of benefits from the Titans being shitty. So I moved him up a bit, but even he wasn't going out for a route much. They, they were letting the running back stay in and block. They weren't even like going out for routes. So that's, that's not good. You don't like to see that. Um, especially against the jets. I mean, my God, they look like shit against the jet. So yeah, Pollard, he's attached to needing a good game script, which probably I can have many on the Titan. So yeah, I'm, I'm way, way, way lower on Pollard after week one.
00:35:25
Speaker 1: Yeah. Uh, that's, Yeah, there's not much else to say. You're just not starting Pollard this week unless you're in the deepest leagues or Dynasty League where he's your only viable RB2. Exactly. But yeah, just in time for the fantasy football season, BetSync is back in the Action app and it's better than ever. Okay, moving on to wide receiver. Sean, top five wide receivers for week two.
00:36:08
Speaker 2: Go. So I got Puka, Amon Raw, JSN, and then I feel like it's been a while since I've been able to say this guy's in my top five. Justin Jefferson, welcome back. And then, oh... Number five, I don't even know. It's like a tie between Lamb, Chase, Nico, and Olave. So I don't know who to pick. It's kind of like a tie. But right now, I have Lamb just barely, like a. 1 inside. But yeah, who are your top five? Are we pretty similar?
00:36:41
Speaker 1: Yeah, we have Puka, JSN, Justin Jefferson, Amon Raw, Chris Olave. I took a stand with Olave there, just seeing the week one usage.
00:36:50
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:36:51
Speaker 1: Facing the Ravens, they're going to have to throw again. I don't expect a similar game from Shuck just outside the dome. Way tougher defense in Minters, Baltimore, than the Lions, who don't have any DBs. But at the same time, volume is volume is volume. They're going to throw. Shuck's going to drop back. And Olave led the entire NFL in air yards last week by, like, 100 it was something ridiculous i i saw the stat on twitter i forgot who posted it but he had the number one air yards and in the entire nfl and i expect that to continue even with devon valet fans and juwan having some game like you know they're getting their shared targets too but olavi is my locked in five here might even rise who knows but actually i top four is pretty strong so I'll have to really work on that. But Justin Jefferson, he's back. I think we're both excited for that. It's Justin Jefferson season. Once again, Carson Wentz locked on two touchdown game. That was, that was beautiful. I'm happy. I'm smiling on the inside. Are you feeling like this is, I don't know if he's sustainable, but like, do you feel like he's going to be back in your top five to 10 weekly?
00:38:06
Speaker 2: I think it's with the QB situation. It's kind of volatile. Maybe Wentz is, you know, helping him out. I'm not going to think about it too much. I think for fantasy purposes, it's good for fantasy football for Justin Jefferson to be a top five wide receiver again. Let's see if this sticks, but I think just not having JJ McCarthy hold them back is probably the good news here. But I thought, I thought Wentz was serviceable and now they face the Bears defense at home. So I, I think obviously Justin Jefferson's a must play, but like in DFS tournaments, like if, if Wentz gets a start, like some Wentz JJ stacks, send it back with like Luther or Loveland could be sneaky for like, you know, big GPPs, but yeah, Jefferson look great again. Just, he needs somebody to just throw him the ball. But yeah, yeah. I think it's, again, it's good for fancy that he's in the top five again.
00:39:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, throw him the damn ball. I'm optimistic. I have drafted him. I did draft him a lot, actually. But it's hard to bet against a guy on a revenge tour after last season. And just with his level of talent. It's Justin Jefferson. Who are you higher on this week, though?
00:39:24
Speaker 2: DJ Moore is up to wide receiver 15 right now. Nice. feel bad because last week I was like, you know, my nuanced take on it was like, I am super high on him heading into the season. But just bear with me. Survive week one against the Texans. He'll be fine. And sure enough, he goes off for five catches and 100 yards with a touchdown. against one of, if not the best, top two defenses in the league. But I was blown away by his usage because I thought he might be the Stephon Diggs type of role, whereas the last couple seasons without Diggs, they've been kind of spreading around more. But he was really like a Diggs and prime Gabe Davis combined, where he was just getting pepper targets downfield. So his ADOT was over 20 yards, which means he could be pretty volatile. But he's getting so many targets that he's probably going to catch one or two long passes a game. So I was just really pleased with his usage in week one. And now he gets to face the Lions defense at home. I mean, my God. I think wide receiver 16 might be too low. I don't know. But super high on him now. And yeah, it's just... Again, if he could do that against the Texans, I mean, what else is in store here? So super high on week two and going forward.
00:40:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, he left the game, I believe, with an ankle issue, but he was checked out and it was okay. So that's just something to watch for the injury report, I believe, today, if anything. As long as he's getting his practice, as long as he's not a DNP, should be optimistic. You know, veterans can have limited practices on short weeks. That's not shocking. But yeah, you got DJ Moore, you're starting him. That's not in question at all. especially in this matchup, a guy I'm higher on it's unfortunate, but it's Quentin Johnston, uh, lads dealing with the rib chest issue that I thought was, I thought he broke his hip on that hit where he fell to the ground. I was like terrified, but apparently just probably okay. Never love any injury, but this sounded like he avoided something super serious. Um, Quentin Johnston, terrible game. Had to drop again. Had a false start penalty. It was the first game of the season. The Chargers were discombobulated. And I want to throw a mulligan. He had six targets. That's doable. I'm still remembering the preseason long touchdown from Herbert. I'm trying to imagine and manifest that into the regular season. Making that count for actual fantasy points.
00:42:10
Speaker 2: Um.
00:42:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, even if Ladd plays, I would expect more Johnston this week. It's definitely possible they phase him out in the second half of the season, but for the time being, they're going to be relying on him. And this matchup against the Raiders, it doesn't really get much better. I mean, the Raiders, Lions, Packers right now, the Bears, those are some of the teams that you're just trying to, I mean, Commanders seems like, you're just going to start your guys. No matter what. Quentin Johnston, he's going to be He's in start territory for me. Wide receiver... I don't think he's a wide receiver 2. I don't think he's my top 24, but he could be your fantasy wide receiver 2 for the week. I don't mind. Where are you at with him? Because I don't want to be the only one in this quicksand.
00:42:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, they're tricky to project because we just don't know Ladd's status. And Ladd was just a target monster before he went down. So if Ladd's playing, I'm going to be lower on qj but if he's out yeah i think qj would be wide receiver too that you could trust because again even if he drops a couple balls he'll probably get plenty of targets plenty of downfield targets so he has the upside um but yeah vlad plays he's the kind of guy where um if you need a big score like let's say you're an underdog you're a huge underdog heading into the week you just need a miracle uh you know take a flyer on a guy like qj who, if he gets a dud, probably won't hurt you, but has massive upside. Like, we're probably going to see a week this year where he's the wide receiver one overall, right? Just good luck trying to predict. Who knows? Good luck trying to predict which week it'll be. Yeah, maybe it's... Well, yeah, if Ladd's out, this would be the week. But QJ's one of those guys where he's going to defy whatever you think is logical. So just always know that. But, again, I think the Chargers offense... does bounce back this week um so you know i'm still high on them overall uh but again just so murky right now with lad yeah being questionable um that it's really hard to rank but but i'm with you and just being you know high on qj's upside but just he's going to be a Absolutely.
00:44:33
Speaker 1: And I'm just saying, if there was ever a week to start him, it's this week. And the Raiders' interior D-line is much, much weaker than the Cardinals, who have a stud like Walter Nolan. Yeah, they have Max Crosby, but the Chargers at least have really strong tackles. So it's possible Herbert's under much less duress. That interior D-line is historically bad for the Chargers, but even so, that is not a good interior D-line for the Raiders. So I think they could counteract each other and Yeah. Herbert could have maybe that QB one week that we thought last week was possible. So maybe, maybe you were just early rather than wrong. Wouldn't be the first, won't be the last time that happens for none of us. We're all going to have our weird weeks. Uh, who are you lower on at wide receiver?
00:45:20
Speaker 2: Uh, T Higgins is all the way down to wide receiver 31 for me. Um, typically, you know, he's going to be a solid wide receiver too, but, um, you know, he's coming off a, I don't know how to describe it. Uh, moderate week one, three catches for 59 yards. Yeah. Okay. Three catches for 59 yards. Um, which is kind of typical. He's, you know, their main downfield threat. It's going to be pretty volatile week to week. So that, you know, it's on par with most weeks in theory, but that was a game where Jamar chase only had four targets, only got two passes for 12 yards. That's not going to happen every week. So, you know, I think chase, um, He's obviously going to bounce back. But Chase Brown and Mike Gusecki had just insane target rates. I don't expect those to maintain, but in a tougher matchup here against the Texans, it probably does make sense to lean on those two more than usual against this elite secondary. I think this is a brutal matchup for Higgins. We saw DJ Moore and Dalton Kincaid just stomp all over this defense in week one. But I think this is kind of a different spot where they're a little better equipped to slow down someone like T. So, you know, if you have T, like you could still start him like, cause he still has a ton of upside, even in tough spots like this, but just not a, you know, not a rock solid wide receiver too for me, like most weeks until we kind of see how this sorts out. But again, this is all assuming the Texas defense is good. I have no reason to doubt them after one week, but you know, That's what we're kind of learning. It's still week two. The one thing is defenses, they're a little less sticky year to year. We've seen elite defenses go from elite to average the next season. By all means, the jury's still out on the Texans. I'm still saying they're elite, but you know, we'll, we'll revisit this next week. If, uh, if Burrow Higgins and chase all go off, but I think for now, uh, got to treat T like more of a mid range wide receiver three here. Yeah.
00:47:29
Speaker 1: I'm lower on Burrow and you're lower on Higgins for the same exact reason. It's just, we still respect the Texans defense and, uh, it's yeah. So there's not much else to say. All it takes is one 50, 50 ball for T to pay off. But I hate betting on that having to be the outcome for week two. You probably have better options on the bench. Like, I think there are discussions to be had about Debo Samuel in that range, potentially over even T. They're close for me. There's definitely bench guys that you could swap in for T that you could trust, but someone I wouldn't yet, sadly, is Brian Thomas Jr. at Denver. Parker Washington's the guy. Parker Washington is very clearly the alpha wide receiver one of this offense. I still believe in Brian Thomas Jr. having good fantasy value, but he's going to be like T. to a lesser degree, more volatile and finding those weeks to start him, sit him are going to be tough. And even so at Denver, Pat Sertan probably on him a good amount that this is the week to bench Bryant. And especially with another shoulder issue, this is his third in what feels like a month. And this follows from last year, a shoulder injury that was nagging him a nerve issue. It was, I, I, Maybe he needs a labrum surgery. Who knows what's going on with him? But yeah, I don't want to touch Brian Thomas Jr. He's outside my top 40 this week. How are you feeling on him?
00:48:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm similar with you. Again, I think people realize just how much of a beast Parker Washington is at this point. And Jacoby Myers is still out there a ton. So BTJ is going to be just kind of the boom bust downfield threat, which he's going to have. good games, but yeah, the shoulder injury could be a concern. I've actually had a, torn labrum before. It's not, it's not fun. You could play through it, but it's, it's painful. So yeah, if there's something there, like if you need surgery, that would not be good. But yeah, I think just in the meantime, it's Parker Washington or bust. We saw, you know, Josh Cameron, uh, Mix in. Travis Hunter looks like he might play a couple snaps a game. He's not really relevant. They're using a lot more heavier tight end sets. I know they drafted two tight ends. That's just a lot of bad for BTJ. Still love him as a talent, but he's not kind of repeating his rookie seasons. Looking more like more of last year. Sadly. Sadly. Sadly.
00:50:08
Speaker 1: Now, speaking of inconsistency, tight end, who are your top five for this week?
00:50:12
Speaker 2: Uh, let's see. Ooh. So assuming Brock Bowers is out once again, we'll.
00:50:17
Speaker 1: Assume Brock Bowers is out for the sake of this episode because I doubt it too.
00:50:21
Speaker 2: Yeah. I got Trey McBride and then I tweeted this out yesterday. I couldn't believe it. Mark Andrews is still my tight end too. Haven't figured out how to move him down, but these are my raw dog production projections. So I'm sticking with it. There's reason for this. And then Colson Loveland, obviously, I think he's going to bounce back. He's my time three. Then I have Dalton Kincaid and Dallas Goddard rounding out my top five. Wow. Okay.
00:50:45
Speaker 1: We're not too far off. I'm at McBride, Loveland, Warren, likely Kincaid. Funny enough, Mark Andrews is the guy I was going to say I was higher on, but you're way higher on Andrews than me.
00:50:56
Speaker 2: Come on, man.
00:50:57
Speaker 1: So that's like my Godwin take from last year. You were higher on Godwin, but I had him way higher in the rankings. um mark andrews at two is this assuming zay is out that's the big question because is it zay in or out because that's the.
00:51:11
Speaker 2: Craziest or if he's in i mean the craziest part i have zay completely in 100 zay was a monster this has nothing to do zay's injury that's how crazy this is and that's why i'm just keeping him tight into again there's probably like a half a point separating my tight end two to my tight end 10 it looks like so Uh, anything can happen, but just, um, yeah, I mean, you're high on him, so you can, you can say why you're high on him and I'll piggyback on that.
00:51:39
Speaker 1: I was probably for the same reason. He looked good. Six targets, uh, this game at home, uh, with, yeah, they ailing, even if he does play, like maybe they limit his usage to try not to aggravate the hamstring.
00:51:50
Speaker 2: Who knows?
00:51:51
Speaker 1: Uh, but yeah, I mean, Andrews and Lamar have a decade long report feels like, and he's trusted in the red zone. He, uh, Isaiah Likely's gone. Likely's in my top five too. He's not in yours though. That's interesting. That's something I want to dig into here. You don't like the eight targets on just under 50% of the snaps?
00:52:12
Speaker 2: Just because a guy is in my top five doesn't mean I don't like him. He's just outside. He's my tight end six. You hate him. I absolutely loathe him. The only issue with Likely is snaps. Let me pull it up. 68% routes run rate. Absolutely diabolical. 35% target rate when he was out there, though. For a tight end, that's amazing. That's elite. He caught 100% of his targets. So at some point, there probably will be an incomplete pass to likely. Maybe. Maybe. I'm factoring that in. So yeah, he's like one tweak away from being my tight end two. So that's how much fun the tight end rankings are this week, but in a deep dark way, that's why I'm so high on Mark Andrews because he was competing with Isaiah likely last year for snaps. He doesn't have to compete with anybody. They have Matthew Hibner who, you know, I like longterm. I think we've set up, you need to get tattoo of he scores 12 touchdowns this year. I think you're safe. But Andrews is the guy. He has no competition. It's really just Zay Flowers he's competing for targets for anyways. And, you know, we haven't seen it yet, but he still has that tush-push upside when the two get on the goal line potentially. I mean, they have Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson, but they did it last year at times. So, just he has sneaky upside. So, and, you know, Playing the Saints, so this is a good spot for him.
00:53:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, not mad at that at all. Laporta didn't do much last week, but who knows what Laporta is after back surgery if he's the same explosive tight end. I mean, Mark Andrews hasn't looked... He looked good in week one, but he did not look good last year. He's been kind of on a downward trend, but like you said, likely he's gone. Hibner, Durham, Smythe, I'm not really scared of taking targets or snaps away from him. And that game got out of hand. last week so who knows if that was a closer game what Andrew's workload would have looked like uh but for what it was pretty good and I think we're both definitely yeah it seems like we're both high but uh who's the other or who's the guy you're higher on in general I'm gonna go I mean.
00:54:38
Speaker 2: I'm high and likely uh you know Loveland Andrews but I'm gonna talk about Dallas Goddard who is inside my top five he's my tight end five I was probably too low on him last week and I paid for it in the fantasy pros contest. I guarantee it. Uh, cause he went, you know, four catches, 77 yards, two touchdowns against commanders. Um, I mean, it looks like, you know, Dontavian Wicks and Mekhi Lemon are kind of neck and neck for the wider receiver two spot. Wicks look, you know, incredible. I think Lemon's going to get better as the season goes, but I mean, Goddard's essentially the top two target for now. Uh, he's the guy that obviously hurts trust, especially when they get, uh, in the red zone and Eli Stowers. I didn't expect much from him, uh, his rookie season, but he's on IR. So this is really just Dallas Goddard and a bunch of dudes behind him. Um, plus, you know, they, I don't even know they had a chance or ran the tush push here, but last year, uh, when the tush push was falling apart, they were kind of mixing in wrinkles, uh, that included Dallas Goddard. So again, he has really just sneaky upside overall right now. Um, so yeah, he's in my top five. They're, they're, I mean, they're facing the Titans. So it's one of those games where they might not have to throw much, but they should be in the red zone a ton. So I just think his touchdown upside is there again this week. Um, but it just goes to show like, if you're like me, that doesn't like drafting a Titan and just, you know, picking up scraps as the season goes, it's, it's a great week for us vultures because you know, like guys like Mark Andrews, Dalton Kincaid, Dallas Goddard, Isaiah Likely, you know, there are a lot of them are drafting leagues, but not a lot of people roster to tight end. So like at least one of these guys is available. Michael Mayer is another one where now we have all these guys kind of like fighting for the top five. Um, so it's just kind of a ton of guys to pick from, but yeah, I think Dallas Goddard is one of the guys that, um, I was probably a little too long week one. I'm correcting the error of my ways. So he's inside my top five, at least to start the week.
00:56:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's just outside my top five. And like you said, it's just how much are they going to throw in this matchup? He did his thing on five targets. Hyper efficient, though. And he's matched his 2024 touchdown total already. So that's fun. People, everybody was expecting regression. And hey, maybe he doesn't hit 11, but maybe it's like eight or nine. That's still really damn good. I mean, he's on pace for way more, but I don't think he's going to hit 34. If he does, I'll get it. I'll get a Dallas Goddard tattoo on my ass. If, uh, if he has 34 touch, I'm kidding. I'm not.
00:57:17
Speaker 2: Oh, well, I mean, screw it. You got to make it reachable like 15.
00:57:22
Speaker 1: No, I'm not going to do it.
00:57:23
Speaker 2: Okay.
00:57:24
Speaker 1: Because he might hit it. Who knows? Um, yeah, Goddard, there's been a substantive, substantive change in his usage specifically around the red zone. And that's why he had that high target total or high touchdown total last year.
00:57:36
Speaker 2: Um, yeah.
00:57:37
Speaker 1: And with AJ Brown gone, He is that trusted guy for Hurts who, like Andrews with Lamar, nearly a decade-long era of rapport. So they know each other. They trust each other. And he's been very efficient throughout his career. So this is not shocking. Last year was his worst yards per target since 2019. But again, he had the touchdown. So that makes sense as to why it dropped. And he's only 31. So it's not like he's in wash territory. Tight ends can be relevant until 35, 36, 38 if you're Tony Gonzalez. Who knows? But yeah, I'm with you here. Dallas Garters definitely start. Who are you lower on? This should be, I mean, Kyle Pitts for me. Just as long as Cooper Rush is starting, that's pretty easy. I don't want to start him. I'd start like Michael Mayers and other guys over him for sure.
00:58:26
Speaker 2: Where do you have Pitts ranked though?
00:58:27
Speaker 1: I'm tied in 15 right now.
00:58:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm tied in 21. Wow. Oh, I thought I was low.
00:58:33
Speaker 1: Okay, well, who else are you lower on?
00:58:37
Speaker 2: Well, yeah, no, Kyle Pitts. That was not good. But yeah, He needs Panic's back or he needs Jack Strand. Throw him in the bowl.
00:58:44
Speaker 1: I strand with Jack.
00:58:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, come on. We were so close. Still time. Still hope for us Strand truthers. But I'm low. This is kind of the weekly Tucker Craft update. I'm lower on him this week. He's my tight end 11. As expected, he was kind of eased in. He only ran a route on 48% of Jordan's. Love's dropbacks, which was even lower than I was expecting. That was not a good sign. I would expect that to just go up over the next few weeks. But still, he's clearly on a pitch count. And Tucker Kraft is still able to have really good usage On the limited routes, he was targeted on 27% of his routes, caught three balls for 65 yards. But this was a game where Jordan Love threw for 387 yards, so we kind of have to take that in perspective. But I came out really impressed with Matthew Golden's role. Jaden Reed, playing time was a little bit better than we're used to seeing. And Christian Watson, my God, when that guy's healthy... One of the most exciting wide receivers, in my opinion. So they're going to be kind of ball week to week with one or two of those guys going off. So Tucker Kraft, again, probably not going to be as consistent as you wanted if you drafted him inside your top five. But yeah, he's my tight end 11 of the week. I think there's just more safer choices this week. But he's the guy that as he gets... healthier coming back from the ACL tear. And as that playing time goes up, then I think he's going to be, you know, inside my top five, uh, more times than not, but just, just right now you got to kind of ride the storm. Yeah.
01:00:37
Speaker 1: He's just inside my top 10, six targets week one coming off the ACL really efficient on that. Uh, I'm, I'm excited. And the jets, I think the, I expect the Packers to have a much better offensive day than the Titans, uh, So they're going to test the Jets defense that was pretty putrid last year. They're definitely better. But how much better is the question? I think this could be a higher scoring game than expected. The Packers offense defense, excuse me, is not good. This could be a really good overspot, even with like Gino starting and love kind of shitting his pants in the second half against the Vikings. But yeah, I don't think the Jets defense is the Vikings defense. And yeah, Brian Flores is not there to make his life hell.
