Today on the show...
- As summer rolls around, us Kiwis are, as usual, wanting to get out on the ocean and take our boats for a spin. And why wouldn't you? We live in a beautiful country with amazing oceans, we'd be silly to ignore them.
- But we have to remember to stay safe out there, and there's no one that knows that better that the Coastguard. With over 2,000 rescues already this year, they are pushing for Kiwis to stay safe on the water this summer. Do all the usual checks, keep an eye on the weather and WEAR YOUR LIFE JACKET!
- Tonight, I'm joined by Jonny Bannister, Regional Manager in Coastguard’s Operations and Adam Winter, Coastguard member for 15 years, to discuss the importance of water safety and the benefits of being a Coastguard member.

That is over $6,000 a year, but when pushed on how to pay for it, he pointed to economic growth, mining, and a future fund we know little about. Promises are easy, but n…
Nicola Willis has used nuclear political language, calling Chris Hipkins a liar over Labour's alternative budget. She claims there is a $10 billion-plus hole in their pay equity promises. The 2026 election battle is officially underway, and cost of living is front and centre. We sit down with Finance Minister Nicola Willis to unpack Labour’s fiscal plan, soaring petrol prices, and whether supermarket structural changes can actually lower your grocery bill. Our latest rolling poll of polls averages out the numbers and hands this election to the left.
