Ash Soan is one of the UK’s leading session drummers; his website says that (at the last count) he has played on 19 top 10 singles and 60 top 10 albums, 32 of which have reached No. 1 on pop and rock charts around the world.
His discography reads like a who’s-who of pop royalty, which is not surprising because of his unique playing feel and approachability. He has a huge following on social media, where drum fans enjoy seeing Ash’s recording and playing content from his home drum studio, The Windmill.
Fresh from the road with Joss Stone and Tori Amos in 2023, Ash Soan recalls his fondest memories of working with Sinead O’Connor, tells us about his unique pre-Christmas event, and has to beat the clock in naming how many female artists he has played for!
