00:05:51
Speaker 7: It wasn't my bachelor party. It was my friends. And he was like, I don't think so.
00:05:54
Speaker 5: When he was like, he's like, I like, well, I like doing regular stripper stuff. I don't like the singing element of it.

00:06:03
Speaker 5: Who who's that for stripper? OKI like, it's for the singer. But like what I tell you is like when I get a karaoke and it's like live bar karaoke. I always joke. I'm like, that's for everybody. You pick songs and it for everybody. You try to have a good time. It's supposed to be like a party scene. You go to a strip club and then you're like, what's this guy doing up there? Singing love Shack? You know what I mean, what's this guy?
00:06:21
Speaker 4: There's Shack bayband guys.
00:06:22
Speaker 5: If they're doing that when you were young, you know, what I mean, welcome to the stage Roxy and also Tom singing mister Brightside.
00:06:31
Speaker 7: Yeah, I think one half of the crowds could be disappointed. No, I don't know who that's for, but it's so interesting, so I wanted to, Uh, I don't know, try that out.
00:06:38
Speaker 5: But you can do it. Yeah, that's that does sound interesting. I'd be I'd be intrigued by that, and like, would you feel like you were getting your money's worth singing your sweatpants to the strip club with karaoke?
00:06:48
Speaker 4: I don't think.
00:06:49
Speaker 5: I don't think.
00:06:49
Speaker 4: I think it's a classy establishment.
00:06:51
Speaker 5: Yeah, oh is it okay?
00:06:52
Speaker 4: Yea? So are they really they're like stage dancers, yes, and they're kind of I guess, like performing for you while you sing. Is it more like cabaret then or is it an actual Well? I wish I went copes. So what you guys, what you guys do then? Instead what you do in Portland?
00:07:05
Speaker 7: You went and we went hiking, We went to coffee shops and got donuts and bookstores.
00:07:10
Speaker 5: Wait, this guy's getting married and he decided for his bachelor party he was gonna go to coffee shops, go hiking, and go to bookstores. Yeah, did you guys go to a farmer's market too. Saving that for marriage? What what?
00:07:21

00:07:52
Speaker 7: I'm acting all tough now, but I'm sure like my wife's like, you know what, I think.
00:07:55
Speaker 4: I think most wipes be understanding of that, right, you know, way Camby are it's the topic today? No wait, k NBR Maybe not if.

00:08:19
Speaker 4: This kind of gotta be honest about that one.
00:08:21
Speaker 5: I've gotten, I've gotten uh, what's the word I would say? Caught up nabbed. We're like, I've gone to a bachelor party. 00:08:42
Speaker 5: Significant others of all the guys that were there, and we were like, bro, what'd you You got us in trouble? You know what I mean?
00:08:48
Speaker 4: Like you got us that's tough on. I mean, like the best thing to do is just say, hey, we're probably gonna do this.
00:08:53
Speaker 5: But I'm like, what do you think exather a bachelor party? Yeah, I know he did anything wrong, but.
00:08:56
Speaker 4: Like it's same thing with women. If you have you know you that's okay.
00:09:01
Speaker 5: I'm just gonna totally care totally whoa whoa, it doesn't go both ways.
00:09:05
Speaker 4: No, totally.
00:09:06
Speaker 5: I want to know the like, what's that? What's the protocol do you tell? I think the best thing to do is saying in advance. But here's the thing. It's almost like I think that's an ask for forgiveness thing, then a permission. I'm like, if you do it, I don't know. If you're the groom, it's a little different to to.
00:09:20
Speaker 4: Each their own with relationships. Yeah, figure out, it's got to be your own relationship. Would like to comfortable.
00:09:24
Speaker 7: Enough for your own marriage, in your own future marriage where you should should.
00:09:27
Speaker 4: Be comfortable saying that you should you auld?

Speaker 4: Dirty work on a Friday afternoon.
00:12:24
Speaker 5: Adam Copeland, deepop, Danny done hanging out with you already off the rails. As the show got going, we were talking about Derek's going to Houston to see his mom next week. This is the last day with us until a week from Monday. Yes, I'll be off all next week. I got a compilation of Phil in host. We got Rod Brooks coming in early next week. We got some I think we got a I think I got Brooks. I thought it was a ramy, but maybe it's not Ramy, maybe it's Brody Brazil for a day next week, and I think I get Tittle for a couple next week.
00:12:51
Speaker 4: I'm so you mean Vidie deil Negro. Yeah, dude, Rick Tintlell just put.
00:12:54
Speaker 5: It out of sweet saying he was at the American Century Golf Tournament. It's nothing like it, and he says that a guy came up to him and asked for his autograph because he thought he was Vinnie del Negro and he was like, I don't look anything like Vinnie del Negro or so, so I thought that's a great tweet from rit Tittle. Anyway, we were talking about Houston, Derriscrow.
00:13:13
Speaker 4: What's that bachelor coming to Houston? Isn't a Rod from Houston? Rod ok from Houston?
00:13:16
Speaker 5: Yeah, so Dere's going to Houston to see his mom, and uh, you mentioned Houston known for it it's gentlemen's clubs. They got us off on a tangent about bachelor parties and gentlemen's clubs. And I said, do people tell their significant others if they're going on a bachelor party that they may be going to a gentleman's club? And I said, I got I got a broke code broken on me for that. I wasn't even the culprit, you know what I mean, Well.
00:13:37
Speaker 4: What's the best way to do that?
00:13:38
Speaker 7: So if you want to tell your cynicon other that you're going to a strip club, do you have to out all your friends the process?
00:13:44
Speaker 5: So that if you tell her then you are and especially if you're friends and like you have, they have Cinnivian others, you are outing all your friends in the process.
00:13:50
Speaker 4: That's the part of this.
00:13:51
Speaker 7: But then shouldn't that I'm getting that shouldn't shouldn't your sivican other if you're going to a bachelor party understand that may happen as well.
00:13:56
Speaker 5: Maybe, but is she responsible or he responsible for not telling anybody else that happened, because now you're asking them to like, okay, something.
00:14:03
Speaker 7: Out Honestly, Like, if let's say, like your wife to be went to a a strip club, okay, would you be offended at all at a bachelor ret party?
00:14:13
Speaker 5: Yeah?
00:14:13
Speaker 1: No?
00:14:13
Speaker 4: Meet me neither? No, I mean, like, yeah, so just let me go many Maybe what's the problem?
00:14:21
Speaker 5: Baby?
00:14:21
Speaker 4: It's six five mins.
00:14:24
Speaker 5: The Golden State Lumber and shot Room text on says we went to a strip club for my bachelor party. My wife knew wasn't enthusiastic about it. Yeah, I understand that. Yeah, you gonna be like, yay, I didn't you're going you're asking me if I like my wife to be or my my partner's going on a bachelor party or bachelorette party. And they asked, can I go to a strip club with the girls. I'm not like pulling out my wallet and forking over cash. Whatever.
00:14:47
Speaker 4: It happens, what people do.
00:14:48
Speaker 5: But her sister took her out for a quote second bachelor red party.
00:14:52
Speaker 4: Whoa, whoa second. See now we're now, we're now we're keeping score. Yeah that's that's a little too vindictive. I was she got some dances from dudes, so you know, case hurrah.
00:15:01
Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't know if you I don't know if you need a second one.
00:15:05
Speaker 4: That seems a little suspicious.
00:15:06
Speaker 5: Markinsona, This is I just gambled smokes and gars in my bachelor party. No gentlemen's club. I'm not divorced, so maybe there's sulf had to be said about going to a gentleman's club.
00:15:14
Speaker 4: But I don't think that. I don't think that left to that dude.
00:15:16
Speaker 5: Now, probably not nine two five, actually nine to one six six and says, yeah, this is why neither of you guys are married.
00:15:23
Speaker 4: Well acurate, Hey, still time maybe yeah.
00:15:26
Speaker 5: Two on nine says, hey, yep, my husband's group did it, and I found out a year later when one random groom's been slipped up. You guys are bringing this on a year later. 00:15:43
Speaker 7: No, no, no, no no, And a year later is a big deal.
00:15:48

00:16:01
Speaker 4: Uh, four and five checks.
00:16:02
Speaker 5: In, Oh no, that's a that's a Rosenberg against saying saying what he said. Two on nine says, my wife told her before my bachelor party, she didn't care if we had uh if we gone to a ship club, just not to go any farther than that. That's fair.
00:16:13
Speaker 4: Enough more than seven seven.
00:16:15
Speaker 5: This is what happens at a bachelor party stays at the bachelor party. That is true, except for some stuff that comes back with you.
00:16:21
Speaker 4: YEA six.
00:16:24
Speaker 5: Says when I got married five years ago, my wife was bugging me, Hey, what are you gonna do for your bachelor party? I told her, I may go to the Gold Club Good Lunch for lunch mid days. She said that's not fair, I can't come.
00:16:37
Speaker 4: I said, no, no, no, no. She said, We'll still have fun, but don't fall in love. Fair line. That's a good one. Fair line.
00:16:43
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:16:44
Speaker 5: Five O three says, uh, I just did at my bachelor party whatever the unsponsored Candy ar Burier Weekend Sports calendar told me to do.
00:16:54

00:17:46
Speaker 7: Plexico Burrows had his own hitterbop situation where he shot himself in the leg. So that was during the season after they won the Super Bowl.
00:17:54
Speaker 5: It's it's never been lost on me that Plexico Buris did more time behind bars for shooting himself than what Michael Vick got for his conviction.
00:18:03
Speaker 4: Is that true?
00:18:03
Speaker 5: He's absolutely true. Wow, that crazy because Michael Vick I don't think he even did a year behind bars.
00:18:10
Speaker 4: He may have done about that, but then he got out and he was on house. I want to say, dude, he was gone for the two football seasons.
00:18:14
Speaker 7: I don't know if he was incarcerated that entire time, but from seven to two thousand and nine, I think he was out of the game. Now, Plaxgo, I want to say, was just one year or maybe he was multiple but then he signed with the Jets.
00:18:25
Speaker 4: But he wasn't the same guy after that.
00:18:27
Speaker 7: So yeah, New York gun laws, I mean, like what you shouldn't carry a gun, but at the same time, like shoot yourself and you get, you know, charged with that.
00:18:35
Speaker 5: That's yeah, dude.
00:18:38
Speaker 4: Platskar did twenty months, Okay, yeah, twenty months. Yeah wow.
00:18:41
Speaker 5: Oh no, Michael Vick was in jail for a total of twenty three months. Yeah, so it was right around the same time. Oh no, he spent twenty one and then he did a couple months out, so he was one month longer than plas Ago. Actually behind bars, I was a little off on that.
00:18:54
Speaker 7: You've ever seen those yeah, yeah, you ever seen those interviews he did with Jim more Junior after the fact where he was like a nice coach. Yeah, he was like Jim or Junior was working for any film network and then he'd interviewed Michael Vig about the whole situation. He goes, So, Mike, back in the day when I was giving those DVDs to watch film, were you watching those? He goes, Now, Jim, honestly, I just put that stuff in my car and just let it sit there. I never watched He goes, Damn, which she watched those tapes? So what had job?
00:19:17
Speaker 4: Still?
00:19:18
Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, I'd still be coaching. This kind of reflects poorly on me. Well, they're like, damn, what's this offense?
00:19:22
Speaker 4: He's running? He's like, he's not. He's just out there playing.
00:19:25
Speaker 1: Uh.
00:19:25
Speaker 5: Anyway, came to our four and five eighty eight, five sixty seven the number to call it in text.
00:19:29
Speaker 4: Let's got to the phone lines.
00:19:30
Speaker 5: Cam was in Oakland, dude, Cam claim and he got into a bachelor party trouble for a party he didn't even attend.
00:19:36
Speaker 4: That's not fair. Damn, what's up, dude? Tell us the story?
00:19:38
Speaker 2: Man, Hey, what's up?
00:19:40
Speaker 11: Boys?
00:19:40
Speaker 4: What's up?
00:19:42
Speaker 7: Hey?
00:19:42
Speaker 3: Derek enjoys some Colaschies, BUCkies and community for me down in Texas.
00:19:47
Speaker 5: You know you do well?
00:19:48
Speaker 4: My friend? Did you some BUCkies?
00:19:49
Speaker 5: For Sureas is where it's at yes, what's coloshies cam They're like a sausage.
00:19:53
Speaker 3: In it's thrown up pigs in a blanket and oh.
00:19:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, that sounds funn some good cheesy.
00:20:01
Speaker 3: About a year about a year ago, my brother in law had his bachelor or bachelor party, pardon me, and we had it in New Orleans. And the guys that had ladies either married or with fiances, did not go to bed, did not go to strip clips.
00:20:20
Speaker 1: We said no.
00:20:21
Speaker 3: But the single guys, like single cousins and people that were invited, snuck off on Bourgon Street. You know, we we had some limit, we had some drinks. Whatever. Well, the single guys ended up posting on Instagram and got the entire group posed, and I had none of the fun and I got all of the problem.
00:20:45
Speaker 5: You're sitting that. You're sitting that a group of the guys who were single went out to like a gentleman's club and then took a photo or something, and then everybody who was there got in trouble because they were all at that.
00:20:54
Speaker 3: Club exactly because all the ladies were going, how do we know you were there? We weren't there. If Donna, if you were listening, I still did not go oh, gentlemen, I swear do you.
00:21:07
Speaker 5: Want to call you want to want to let her know you want to.
00:21:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, uh yeah, I'll give it its seven.
00:21:14
Speaker 5: Seven No no, no, no, no, no, no, dude, that's I mean, that's a crock man.
00:21:21
Speaker 7: I mean.
00:21:22
Speaker 5: And here's the thing is, that's what that's where I'm like, dude, what's the.
00:21:24
Speaker 4: Catch swaying tow here?
00:21:25
Speaker 5: If you talk about it before and they say no, then you're then you're outright going against what you know their wishes are. Okay, but you didn't even do anything wrong.
00:21:31
Speaker 8: Camp.
00:21:32
Speaker 4: I would be pissed.
00:21:33
Speaker 5: I would be pissed that my buddies posted those pictures online. Appreciate the call, Camp, Yeah, no, you can't do that. Like it's exactly you do. I appreciate you. It's exactly I went told Donna. Oh, Donna, then go to the strip club with the boys.
00:21:52
Speaker 7: No, man, you never post strip club photos to social media.
00:21:58
Speaker 4: That's single fellas. They didn't know.
00:21:59
Speaker 5: There's had nothing to lose, dude, They're they're out there playing with fire bro.
00:22:03
Speaker 7: There's a lot of things that Chris Rock says in that song No Sex in the Champagne Room. I think you apply that to that you don't post photos of the strip club to your online escapades.
00:22:11
Speaker 4: Come on out, they're playing with fire.
00:22:12
Speaker 5: Brone of the text that says, my wife handed me a stack of ones uh and was jealous that she didn't get to go. Oh well, that situation four and five says that you always got to tell your significant other. You gotta get ahead of the leak.
00:22:29
Speaker 4: That's fair. Here's here's what I think. You go and then you come back and you tell her what happened, ask forgiveness.
00:22:35
Speaker 5: But again, then you might be, Then you might be, you might be burying the boys, and again they don't got to come home to your wife.
00:22:41
Speaker 4: That's true.
00:22:41
Speaker 5: I mean forget that. When it comes to happy wife, happy life, everything else is second.
00:22:44
Speaker 7: I think you have to tell your wife, but you also have to tell her. Don't make it a big deal with everybody else's wives.
00:22:51
Speaker 5: Yeah, don't make.
00:22:54
Speaker 4: Saying all these things. I'm like, is that gonna fly?
00:22:56
Speaker 5: I would kill the Derek be the guy who wrote lines for guys to say. You go to Derek with like your your your problems. What do I say to my wife in this situation? Dude? Just tell her like make it's such a big deal stuff com playing so much? What are you talking about? Dude? What are you talking about? Four on five says there's nothing wrong with going to the strip club? Signed yours pac Man Jones. Uh for four instance, I went to NAPA for about reporting nothing but why baby goats on tractors?
00:23:24
Speaker 4: Good time, dude.
00:23:25
Speaker 5: That's like Derek up in Portland. Yeah, mat to fix I'm married but luckily, Oh, come on, many.
00:23:31
Speaker 4: Guys, you gotta read all these before.
00:23:33
Speaker 5: Well, I'm pretty good at processing as they go, but sometimes it's really six five O sas I was calling a year so far.
00:23:38
Speaker 4: Yeah, we might want to save that call. I was a pretty cool good That was good.
00:23:40
Speaker 5: That's a pretty good one. Dude. You got ready to give?
00:23:44
Speaker 4: Is that?
00:23:44
Speaker 5: I mean? I assume that's still his his partner or significant other. It sounds like used to be. He's like, dude, don if you're listening, it's funny. Can't mention that Donna does listen? She uh, she texts him. Five says I have a single friend. Uh, where the strip club was not part of the iterary, I do oh, I do not have a single friend with the strip club was not part of the tenerary again. You gotta do what you what, what makes you happy on not everybody's gonna gonna want the same stuff. I just pitched the ideas we all have to be debauchery. It just to me felt like Derek went away on a romantic weekend with his buddies, which is something that guy's gonna do with his wife.
00:24:19
Speaker 4: Anyway, you know what I mean. More just I feel bad for you. I think there's only a few single guys on this trip. So I was the one guy being like, anybody want to go?
00:24:26
Speaker 5: I like knowing that you're the guy who was like, come on, boys, have fun, fellas, that's my boy, that's my boy. Deep.
00:24:32
Speaker 7: I was push everybody to do it, and everybody was like, it's gonna be a big deal. I'm like, it's not a big deal to me, but okay.
00:24:37
Speaker 4: Uh let's go.
00:24:38
Speaker 5: Uh dude, I'm looking at this right now. Dude. On the other call screener lot Danny puts in like what they may want to talk about our guy Dino and Pacheco says.
00:24:45
Speaker 4: Ah Deno soccer and catch up with the boys.
00:24:48
Speaker 5: All right, I got Dwayn and Stockton, who you know, wants to talk and bats and then I got jacket. Oakland says Giant should trade Chapman before we get to any that I gotta tell you. Uh, speaking of Plexico Burus, his bird today is August twelfth, and so is Oar with Gavin de grad and Lisa loebe at the Masonic in San Francisco. You can win tickets when you hear the que to call be collared ten to four point five eight nine six K and br. When we give you that cue call, you'll know what the queue call is because I'll tell you to call and you'll win those two tickets for August twelfth at the Masonic. When we come on back Dino, Jack and Dwayne, we will get to your calls on all your bachelor party stories and needs do you tell your significant other before after? Not at all. We'll get into that next. And we got plenty more to get to. Yeah, sure we'll do some Giant stock. Sure we'll catch up with Sergio Romo and two fifty And of course we've got a dirty work out for you. Plus they're writing letters to Derek. That's all coming up on a Dirty Work Friday only here on the Sports Leader.
00:25:43
Speaker 8: Now back to dirty work Adam Copeland and Derrek Papa on K and b R one oh four, five and six eighty am the sports.
00:25:54
Speaker 5: It's dirty work. It's a Friday afternoon. We're having fun on a Friday July. It's tense, man, especially when the Giants are playing good ball. They did have a nice win last night.
00:26:01
Speaker 4: They did. Nobody will hit a meaningless home run like Willia Domas.
00:26:04
Speaker 5: Let me tell you, I told you since Pedro Feliz maybe my favorite meaningless home run Giant Willie. I think that's why. By the way, Barry Bonds always said near the end of his career, not always said, but I remember him saying, at one point near the end of his career, right after anybody was gonna break the home run record, he thought it would be a Ron Aaron got to like six ninety six or something like that, like he's close to seven hundred. But he had that also, like the one hundred and thirty something game suspension or whatever it was late in his career, which which really set him back on that front. He might have gotten a little bit closer, stuck around longer to try to do it. But when Barry said that, he wasn't a Yankee yet so you must have still been playing in Texas and the thought was like, well, yeah, a Roon's gonna get pitched too in the ninth thinning every game when they're losing seven to two.
00:26:45
Speaker 4: The whole time he was in Texas, they.
00:26:46
Speaker 5: Were no good, but they didn't have anything else.
00:26:48
Speaker 4: They were spending all their money on him.
00:26:49
Speaker 5: He was making more than entire organizations at the time with his with his salary, and that still happened as recently as the last like four years, with matchers who are making more money than than the entire Rock stro and whatnot.
00:27:00
Speaker 4: But Pedro Feliz would do that a lot.
00:27:04
Speaker 5: He'd have a couple of good home run years, but they'd all come on late in games and they were either up a bunch or down a bunch. Still nice to see him hit his fifteenthromer under the year. Giants have three guys with fifteen or more home runs right now, Casey Smid with eighteen and Raphael Devers got eighteen.
00:27:16
Speaker 7: I think, right, you think, Casey Schmidtz, maybe he's a good chance to get thirty this year.
00:27:22
Speaker 5: Best third basement on the team. Tell you that it feels picking it over a third base. We also opened the show talking script clubs just kind of went off on a tangent now and went on, now it's turned into a bachelor party thing. Let's go to Dwayne and stock him. Got to hear what he's gonna say, dumb buddy. Ready, Yeah, darrens nervous. I'm fine, Dwayne? What up dude? How you doing? Bro?
00:27:37
Speaker 4: I know you're a bachelor party guy. What up with the home? He's doing?
00:27:42
Speaker 10: What's out with the home?
00:27:43
Speaker 5: Chill him? Bro, We're good.
00:27:44
Speaker 10: Hey, all my friends wives hate me?
00:27:48
Speaker 5: Yeah?
00:27:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, oh really?
00:27:50
Speaker 10: Oh yeah. Weddings are a problem. That always a problem up until the very end. I'll barely get in. My friends tell their wise that I'm not invited to a basket party because they know that. I know. Basket parties are all about premium trim. That is the main goal, you know what I mean. The last night, my man's last night. You know I'm gonna get it turned up. Man. So that's how it goes down with with with a filthy one, bro, I mean it gets turned I mean it's serious.
00:28:19
Speaker 8: Man.
00:28:19
Speaker 10: At the end of the night, I make sure my boy just getting married and got two of them on them.
00:28:24
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know.
00:28:25
Speaker 4: It's a good friend.
00:28:26
Speaker 5: Friend, that's the way you you don't. They'll hold out, but they'll hold out till I invite you to the last minute. When people drop out to the actual wedding, it's a fight.
00:28:33
Speaker 10: My boy got a fight with his wife the whole time. She does not want me there. She knows how I went down. She knows what I'm all about. I'm not I'm real all the time, but it's terrible. I'm always in trouble always.
00:28:43
Speaker 5: But you always know who Dwayne is. That's the thing. He calls it out. It is and he's not pretending to be anybody else ever. We know what we're getting with you, bro.
00:28:50
Speaker 10: Yeah yeah, we never did a basket party in Napo.
00:28:52
Speaker 5: Yeah no, how about hiking into and coffee shops and bookstores? It like sounds good for fun, right Saturday morning with your spouse?
00:28:59
Speaker 10: Yeah yeah, that sounds like the giant season left.
00:29:05
Speaker 4: Appreciate the call for see what, bro, that's pretty funny.
00:29:09
Speaker 5: That doesn't surprise me, though, wid Wayne, because he called like, Look, you don't have to like him, but he knows who he is, he knows what he's doing.
00:29:15
Speaker 4: It's all good. He's a man with a bad reputation. He's got a Dino dino with Pachenko.
00:29:21
Speaker 5: How you been bro, Good to talk to you.
00:29:23
Speaker 12: Hey, good to talk to my guys.
00:29:25
Speaker 5: Man. What's up man? How you been here?
00:29:27
Speaker 12: You guys are having you guys are having fun. Man, I'm doing good today, Thank God.
00:29:31
Speaker 5: Good Man. Yeah, good, We're trying to have fun. Dude, It's funny. It's been a weird season. You know.
00:29:35
Speaker 12: I can tell you guys are doing good. You guys are doing good man. And uh, first of all, I want to say, uh, I see where you get your uh, your your humor at you're from, because uh, I heard not too long ago that your that's your dad's brank Hopeland.
00:29:48
Speaker 10: Man.
00:29:48
Speaker 12: I grew up to him. Man, I'm ann o g back in the day. I used to watch him all the time.
00:29:52
Speaker 5: You grew up with him. Huh yeah, you know what I'm saying. But of course my dad isn't Communian frequently whenever, whenever me and my brother and sister. Because people always ask that, like that's one of the most frequent questions. I think I've told you people think your that's so funny? Is he funny at home? I was gonna know he's not funny. He's my dad's dad. He always responds to put your aster school.
00:30:12
Speaker 4: Yea, he took care of you. That was good enough for you.
00:30:14
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's good.
00:30:15
Speaker 4: Appreciate you know, he right here, you right, you get.
00:30:19
Speaker 12: But anyway, Adam and Derek and Derek. First of all, I love your dad and you know that too, and I pray for him every day. Brother, appreciate.
00:30:26
Speaker 4: Thank you to Derek, I pray thank you.
00:30:28
Speaker 1: Okay.
00:30:28
Speaker 12: But uh, anyway, I want to have some fun with you guys real quick. I've heard you the other day, Madam. I'm gonna I'm gonna go back in time a little bit with you, Adam, especially you Adam, because uh, you were talking the other day and I missed. I couldn't call in in time. I was listening to the radio. I got a little late. And now you guys were talking. Was I after the fourth probably Monday or so. You guys are talking about joy chess up and the hot dog.
00:30:48
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:30:48
Speaker 12: Yeah, I'll never forget, and I'll never I'll never forget Adam. It had to be. It wasn't last words in July. I think it was two parts in July's ago where you were you were coming down hard on Derek because he might related just hot dog.
00:31:01
Speaker 4: Yeah damn that was last year, last year, and.
00:31:04
Speaker 12: You boil them, and uh, I just want to I just want to give you some gup again today out of you deserve it?
00:31:10
Speaker 10: Man.
00:31:10
Speaker 12: Are you back?
00:31:11
Speaker 1: Are you?
00:31:11
Speaker 12: Are you still in there? Are you still in the stone agent? You still you still boil your hot.
00:31:15
Speaker 4: I mean I think I think.
00:31:16
Speaker 5: I also said one of my favorite one is if if they do it in the Irishman at one point they're like cooking beer and they're cooking hot dogs on a stove in some beer. Like that's a good according too, like a saucepan. You like boil up some beer a little bit like cook the dog in the beer. I prefer to grill it. But I was mostly roasting Dirk because he's like, yeah, we're gonna do a hot dog getting contest at work.
00:31:33
Speaker 12: Uh.
00:31:33
Speaker 5: And then he shows up and he's liked, yeah, we'll just microwave him. And you know they're popping at the ends. They're all like freight at the end.
00:31:38
Speaker 4: Like that's all we lived.
00:31:39
Speaker 5: It's like the mouth of the monster from a Stranger Things or whatever, like all those things here at the end of.
00:31:43
Speaker 4: A hot dog like sprawls out. But you didn't mind it this year.
00:31:45
Speaker 5: That's dude, I've got I've got a reputation and an image to uphold here. If I'm gonna eat the finest of meats inside of a bow.
00:31:52
Speaker 4: Yeah it's gonna be boiled. Yeah, Hebrew National is the finest of meats.
00:31:58
Speaker 12: You were cracking down on him. I'll never forget. So it sounds like you were really serious to you but you bought you only boiled your hot dog when you eat them at home or whatever. And uh, and you gave you were really cracking. You were cracking on Derek hard Man. I was thinking, Man, you're still in.
00:32:15
Speaker 5: That trying trying to create, trying to freak them out. It's a natural entertainment. You trying to spark a hot dogs. Real appreciate the call, you know, Thanks so much, dude. Uh boiling the stone ages, Huh.
00:32:28
Speaker 7: I don't boil my hot dogs. But I think last year we had an air fryer giving that's right. He brought year we only had the microwave.
00:32:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, because the heir Frank can like hook it up to the grill setting or whatever it is. Yeah, I will say part of the reason I like to boil on some things, like if you don't like a hot link, I like this. If you're not gonna micro I like to snap like the pop you got, like one of those Caspers hot digs. I got the snap to if it's a softer dog, Dann, you got a preference on this? How you're preparing your dogs? Or do you just go pack it to mouth with the dog like you do catch it?
00:32:54
Speaker 4: Oh?
00:32:54
Speaker 5: Good?
00:32:55
Speaker 4: Uh, I'm fine with microwave dogs.
00:32:57
Speaker 5: I don't care.
00:32:58
Speaker 4: Okay, Dad, I'm simple.
00:33:01
Speaker 5: Yeah, why don't we give you a baseball call before we get to a baseballer?
00:33:04
Speaker 4: Stuffout? This Jack is an open up a little bit. What's up Jack? You're on the sports leater?
00:33:07
Speaker 5: How you doing brow? What's up? Jack?
00:33:13
Speaker 6: I'm just thinking we should trade Chapman, uh, because Schmid's been playing great defense and he brings the bet.
00:33:24
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm with you, dude. The question I would have is Jack, I mean, I assume you're a big Giants fan. I assume you're where like Matt. Chapman's got the no trade clause, and so I think the Giants are open to taking calls on him. I just wonder if a team would be willing to take Matt Chapman at his age with the amount of money, But it could like if the Giants are not paying Schmidt yet, maybe they'd be willing to eat some of that money. What would you want in return for Matt Chapman if you were to trade him prospects?
00:33:50
Speaker 6: I think we should build towards the future.
00:33:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, is there a position you're looking at, because I'm looking at pitching. I think that's what they need, a lot more of.
00:33:58
Speaker 6: Relief pitching and start. I just any pitching that we can get that's good.
00:34:04
Speaker 5: Nice.
00:34:04
Speaker 4: How old are you, Jack?
00:34:06
Speaker 6: I'm fourteen on summer vacation.
00:34:09
Speaker 10: Top Dog?
00:34:10
Speaker 5: Oh, dude, shout out top Dog and there you go. Dude, love a top dog, top of a hot I love getting a hot link of top Dog. You're on summer vacation, Jack, I am yeah, yeah, man, we'll enjoy it. Dude, enjoy the summer. Try to enjoy some baseball and get you get you a top Dog scream man call anytime, Bro, Thanks so much, Thanks Jack.
00:34:27
Speaker 6: I will all right, thanks man.
00:34:29
Speaker 4: Yeah YouTube bro too, Man.
00:34:30
Speaker 10: Jack.
00:34:30
Speaker 7: Appreciate Jack coming in and that that call, that that that call brings it back to reality.
00:34:35
Speaker 4: I really talking about strip clubs.
00:34:36
Speaker 7: For most of the show, it's like this this sweet kid being like, I want to talk about Matt Shaman.
00:34:40
Speaker 4: Get interested by the way I love you? What shout out? Top Dog?
00:34:42
Speaker 5: I doude top Dog is a phenomenal spot to get a dog, one of the best. Yeah, dude, that is funny. Bring it back to baseball. Way to keep a ground did? Jack brought me back to thinking about being fourteen. I used to do the exact same thing.
00:34:54
Speaker 4: I would sit around the radio shows.

That feeling of being up late on like a weeknight in the summer, stays light out late. The All Star week, you and I were both just talking about the two thousand and two All Star Game that we can remember where we were when it fell in a tie.

00:35:43
Speaker 4: I was traveling with my dad all the time.

00:36:53
Speaker 4: What's up?
00:36:53
Speaker 7: Sergio?
00:36:55
Speaker 1: Let's hear that song? Never gets told to say? Would It's just I'm like, all right, lock in, lock in, I'm going in. H So that's what's that? Man? How you guys?
00:37:04
Speaker 4: We're good? Did you use that everywhere else you went?
00:37:07
Speaker 1: So?
00:37:07
Speaker 5: I think you played for a bunch of other teams. Did you have that everywhere after you left San Francisco.
00:37:11
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that is something that stuck with me, and that's where my nickname came. And especially when I was I wouldn't play I wouldn't play winter ball. A few years in Mexico and I go down to Mexico and I'm still ed Minchell is my nickname. Now it followed me everywhere.
00:37:28
Speaker 5: That's very special to have a song tied to you in baseball, especially as a reliever, like that's a cool thing. That's a great little nugget for a guy to leave the game with and have a nickname like that. I love that. I mean, you think Hoffman, you think Mario Ano Rivera, You've got to even be weezy, and you've got to You've got Almachone. I love that, dude. So I've talked to you a bunch of man over the years about how invested I was in like the seven, eight nine Giants up into the World Series years when you came up and we had to sort of discover the bullpen and guys had to be putting opportunities and roles that they hadn't been in before. And in nine, I think is really when you guys kind of moved off of Brad to see from closer and into Brian Wilson.
00:38:02
Speaker 4: You found your role, But what have you seen.
00:38:04
Speaker 5: Has there been a lot of development you think, or any development in terms of stability once they put Caleb Killing in the closer role in the ninth.
00:38:13
Speaker 1: I have seen a little bit of sensive stability, like you see guys pitching in similar situations, and I think it does bring some kind of calm and some kind of how do you think molds in which you want to use the bullken in which guys fit that mold and where I do feel that this season, although I mean statistically and as of late you know the bullpen has struggled and whatnot, I do feel that there have been some success in the bullpen and you found guys like Keaton Wynn and Killian who can pitch in the back end. And you're talking about being invested in the seven, eight nine years where like guys like myself, Alex Hinshaw, series mot those hand there's so many relievers they got opportunity during those years in roles that I hadn't pitched him before and and it just kind of you know, think or swim type thing, you know, fight or flight. You know you're gonna stick around, You're gonna fight for your spot, You're gonna fight to compete every day, be ready to fight, to be competitive every day. That type of stuff. I think that's that's kind of where they're at right now, is trying to figure out, you know, who's gonna stick. And I'm not saying this season is a last season, although it's very bleak right you look at you know, potentially seeing guys succeed in the second half where maybe they struggled, And I don't know if it's just my experience or or just being in those positions getting the non day in the day out, living the lifestyle, living the life, finding out how to prepare every day. You never know, something may click and you know you'll find guys for the seasons, you know, moving forward well in.
00:39:54
Speaker 7: The second half of the season, you want to see more from the younger guys and Carson Wison and with a solid performance last night second Outing on the Sea in went over a little five innings and only allowed three hits last night. So just your thoughts on Carson wison End's performance, and of course you know the incertaninity post All Star break or trade deadline. I should say, with Robbie Ray, who pitches today, just your confidence in him taking over if and when Robbie Ray could be dealt before the trade deadline.
00:40:16
Speaker 4: Sergio No, I got you.
00:40:18
Speaker 1: I think yesterday was not necessarily a audition for to be the next guy up or to you know, just in case, you know, Robbie does get traded or someone else gets traded in the rotation, whatever, if the spot opens up. I guess as probably better said. But I think what he did yesterday is, you know, he proved it. You know, he can be competitive in this league, regardless of the roster, regardless of the team that he was pitching against. It's still the Big League. You know, there's still that third tier. You know, that third deck in the stadium, you know what I mean, packed house was thirty thousand plus forty thousand, you know here at Oracle. So I think what he did is he you know, he showed that he's a three pitch pitcher. Now. I know, he's still through the same amount of changes as he did fastballs, but he just threw less of them because the slider is now coming into play and I think it only helps him out. He doesn't have a fastball that's gonna, you know, reach the upper nineties or triple digits, but he's got a lot of carry on that. I got a life on that fastball and his change up. I mean, he's one of those pitches where you can almost tell them that's coming and they're still gonna find it somewhat difficult to hit it, hit it well at all. So yesterday he was just he just showed it. He's ready, you know, he showed it. He should be here, And I think what better way to do that. And on a team that's struggling, who's looking for some kind of life, looking for some kind of stability, looking for somebody to step up on a consistent basis, and how to solid out inside of him.
00:41:52
Speaker 5: I'm not going to show Joe Roman nice enough to join us on the uma desk line. You mentioned you know where the season is right now and how they've struggled, and you've been a part of seasons like that in the past. It's different. I feel like for a team like the Giants, who certainly had expectations coming in right and underperformed to some of those and some of them were expected, and you were banking on some guys to maybe exceed some expectations or perform better than they have to this point. But when we get into the second part of this season, where we're getting close to the trade deadline, we know some of the names that are out there. How does the organization and the players on the field, how do you find value in these final couple of months. Because even if you're not competing for a playoff spot, like we just mentioned in seven, eight and nine, you had to build a core of guys that were ready to compete in the years to come. So how do you tangibly find that value in the back half of a season where playoffs aren't necessarily on the horizon.
00:42:38
Speaker 1: Well, I think you continue to look at the guys that have had breakout seasons up to this point, you know, Casey Smith from Blue League, guys who have really established themselves as a team, Coggs and everyday players, every day contributors in this lineup, and then at that point you got to fight for pride at me. You know, you got to show your worst, you know, show what you can bring to the field every day in the day off, because the value that you present. You create labels with that value, and everybody knows in this world in general, it's hard to break the label. It's hard to change the label. So if you can get those good, those right labels like hey man, he's competitive, he's prepared, he's ready every day, he's fearless or whatnot, like, you know, he just that type of study. You want those type of labels, and you're going to start searching for those guys who can be that for you. And you know, now you've got a healthy Elliott Ramos, see if he can continue having a solid team. He's had a solid year if you look at his ats hard of injury, like, he's had a solid year. So you just look for guys like that to continue that the guy that you still have under control and they're going to be around unless he's not, like didn't happen here before this trade deadline on. But you look at the pieces that you have, and that was kind of similar to when I would get those comtunities you had, like Pablo Fativo get that type of opportunity, Ryan Rowlands or Brett kill like all these guys getting those opportunities. Yeah, and they proved their work to a certain extent, and you know they got the Giants got out of them what they got out of them. But it's just these opportunities are coming up for these younger guys and you've got to be ready for them. You know, now that you've got even the two young catchers right now like that, you know, this is an opportunity for you to to show that you you could play at this level, that you belong here, and to prove them right for giving you the opportunity as well.
00:44:33
Speaker 7: Talker Sergio Romo, Sergey Romo on the UMA guest line almost a no hitter on Wednesday with Dylan Cees and that was broken up by Elia Ramos. But what did you see in that performance that had the Giants frustrated all day on Wednesday?
00:44:46
Speaker 1: I mean, you just took the Cats with dunes, just did. I mean all season long, the Giants have struggled with the fastball, high velocity, flastballs at the top of the zone, complimented with some kind of power breaking ball or a devastating ospeed pitch like a splitter or a changeup. And what you saw out of Dylan Cease was he just exploited their weaknesses at the top of the zone hasn't been nice to the Giants all season long, especially you know, ninety seven to one hundred miles an hour we're doing. So he hits, and I think that's just what he did. He didn't lay off the fastball, really, he was just counted and there made them look pretty bad, especially when they tried the chie and then all of a sudden he was throwing the little wrinkle and they were practically throwing bats over the dugout all day. So it's just more of a tip to cap to that guy. It was just a bad matchup. Yeah. Styles, it's just like boxing in the sense at times in baseball where styles make vice and that's stylistically. That was not a good matchup at all.
00:45:46
Speaker 7: So in twenty thirteen, you were on the team where Homer Bailey had a no hitter against the Giants. And when you're on a team getting no hit as a reliever, like, what's going through your mind? Are you giving advice to the batters or are you just marveling another picture having that performance?
00:46:00
Speaker 1: No, I mean in the sense you're in. I mean you want your team to do well, right of course, like you know this isn't the thing and you're you're fighting for whatever, but at one point it gets to a point where you're kind of just not necessarily admiring answer bright word, but you know, in a sense appreciated something special that's happening in baseball, such that it happened against you, guys, or against your team or our team or whatever. But at that point, you know, as a fan of baseball, those are the types of things that don't happen too often. And they say that you were there at some of these events, good or bad against you. For you, it's just a treat and something that only really baseball can give you.
00:46:43
Speaker 5: The time, Sure, Joe, I've been wondering because there's been three of these instances in the last week or so. Jared Jones and the Pirates had a perfect game i think through five the other day, but he had.
00:46:51
Speaker 4: A pretty high pitch count.
00:46:52
Speaker 5: You reprayers of the the Marlins was cruising in a in a perfect game against the A's and Sacramento and had fewer than a hundred pitches. When they end, Tim Dylan Sis comes back out with like well over one hundred pitches, and it made me think about Timmy and San Diego going one forty eight for that first no hitter, which is just incredible. You'd never see that in the game today, right, And so there's been this whole discussion about managers, like should managers allow their guy to go out for a no hitter? Look, I think it's a really special thing, and I understand certain situations you got to protect the guy and it's not really the right day, but it really does lose something in the game. I was thrilled that Schneider sent Seas back out there and gave and gave the Giants a chance to break it up and let him try to go out on his own Marit. I thought it was a really cool moment. But we're we're definitely losing something with the starting pitcher.
00:47:36
Speaker 1: Man. Well, that's come through this guy that I've kind of I wanted like that. I want to relate to to the established, to establishing themselves as you see, been established, big leader. You know, he's gotta guarantee check multi years, you know, nine figures, that type of stuff. Sure, you know, and I fully established guy, guy who has earned his keep every which way possible. And then you've got a manager as well, Schneider, who he isn't too far remove from you know, put in the gear and started an on packed behind it, played himself, you know what I'm saying. So like he he understands what it's like to be uh in the grinding between the lines, and how special those type of events are and how rare the occurrence is. Really you know, it really is and really whatnot. But you got the younger guys, especially like Gary Perez, like you don't want them, you know, the risk of the future just for something that obviously it's extremely meaningful, but for something that I mean, it's not part of the bigger picture, you know what I'm saying. Like, it's more, uh, it's more the icing on the cake as apposed to the cake itself, you know, So it's just added added excitement. So if you look at uh, you know, for me, I just see it as you've got guys who's prove that they can pitch light in ball games like SATs hats, and you got younger guys that have it. So I guess it more depends on what the picture is shown. He can handle, you know, because christer war there, I.
00:49:09
Speaker 7: Don't know, couple more minutes with Sergeio a Romo on the Yuma guest line I saw yesterday on Giants pre with Kylon Mills. You guys were counting down your top pictures of your era, and of course you're referring to Justin Vernland.
00:49:20
Speaker 4: Are just your thoughts on his career.
00:49:22
Speaker 7: And you know, him hanging up what it's all said and done the end of the season.
00:49:26
Speaker 1: Oh, man like, he makes me feel like, not unaccomplished, but like man like I kind of wimped out at one point because we got drafted the same year and this is my fourth season retired, and he's over here too well. I mean, granted he's injured right now, but he's still chucking the rock and he's still no active on a major league roster, and he's still getting paid ding you know what he loves most, and he's doing a lot more innings than I did as well, you know, a lot more strikeouts over thirty five hundred. Just he's a bona fide Hall of Famers, the first ballot. He should be at least got a Cy Young's MVP's the World Series. It's just he's done it all so very warranted career for all the respect and love that he's getting, especially now, since he announced that he'll be done after this year, and I mean, bro, times time for it's time to put the feet up. You enjoy the fruits of the labor. You know what I'm saying. Forty three years old, but you talk about guys going out on their shield, that's say right now. So it's pretty cool to watch the guy my age still being able to compete at that level. But at the same time, you know, I'm happy and I'm proud that everything that's coming.
00:50:43
Speaker 5: Quat did you ever get to face anybody like because I just think it's it's like you just mentioned, you get drafted the same years, and I think it's got to be cool for anybody who got to to show a dug out in San Francisco with him last year, or a young player got to face him or something like that. Like there's that whole thing in baseball where you can go back so many generations by just connecting guys who played together or against each other. And I'm sure there was forty something year olds that were in the league when you came up. Is there anybody that you faced early on in your career that you were like, Man, I cannot believe this guy's still here and I get to play on the same field.
00:51:11
Speaker 1: I was. I felt that way when I first went into a big league clubhouse here with the Giants Panel seven, when you got Omar Visco, you know what, like he like, hey, like you know that type of stuff and just blown away by that aspect. I mean for me, I mean, I've faced you know, Derk Jeter in like a screamage game, let's see. I mean, I mean, I guess he would be the one that kind of stands out the most. I mean also like being across the diamond his last couple of years in Cincinnati with the what's his name Ken griff ju right, like you know that type of stuff, Like, you know, I was around to see, you know, to see some studs do their things and uh oh yeah, I mean completely blown away she walked in. There's very bonds, you know, but you know, so that type of stuff. So yeah, I've been around quite a bit us to be around a lot of them and to cross path a few of them. Chipper Jones, I say, Tipper, I mean.
00:52:16
Speaker 4: Jones, well how about this.
00:52:17
Speaker 5: I mean, you're like you, I mean, it's got to be high on the list, if not number one, you know, getting the final out of a World Series clincher, but to do it against the guy you did it against, Miguel Cabrera also as I mean, one of the greatest, if not the best, right handed hitter next to like Poulhols and Nanny of that whole era.
00:52:34
Speaker 1: Well, I mean he when he had done that season alone himself, the personal accolades and whatnot, and it was kind of one of those I told you some moments because I was that kid in the back aird plane catching my dad going, hey, bottom of the nine, you.
00:52:51
Speaker 11: Know, bases loaded three to two by one. Oh my goodness, it's you know babe, you know, like yeah, like it's the mighty Casey hat that you know, we're in Mudville and I punched the might.
00:53:09
Speaker 1: You know, I was that kid, So for me, it was kind of That's why my dad was the first person I called, and the first thing I said was, I told you you know, so that's just basically what it works for me. And then for it to be against you know him, he called me out Game one to me, he was ready for my slide, and I was like, wow, he knows who I am. That's sick. Yeah, you know, just totally went over my head. He was trying to like intimidate me on some sort of get in my head or whatever, and just went right over my head because I was like, Wow, dude, you know who I am.
00:53:40
Speaker 5: That's super cool. Yeah, that's awesome. Dude's right.
00:53:46
Speaker 1: And then for a long time, for I would say all of my career, I was confident that if you were right handed and I'd never faced you, I got about a ninety nine point eight Christine Champ, I'm gonna get you out, you know what I'm saying, And I had never faced him up to that point, so it was surprising. With the secret station my fastball.
00:54:11
Speaker 4: He's still looking for the slider, dude.
00:54:12
Speaker 5: Sergio Rama the voice you hear Frot of NBC Sports Bakery pre and post game coverage. Sergio always love catching up man. Enjoy the rest of this weekend in the All Star break and we'll talk to you soon, bro.
00:54:20

00:54:47
Speaker 4: Thanks so much. Joy catching here man going to the great Sergio rama.
00:54:53
Speaker 5: That's fun. That is incredible. That up there Magok Brad told him Game one, Hey I'm waiting for that slider and he's still waiting. Dude, Yeah, still waiting for it. Sergier got on with the fastball, dude pumping, pumping like ninety cheese on him.
00:55:04
Speaker 7: I mean, I think fans will be nice to Surgery on Saturday. But when you go around and ask like, so, what do you think about the team right now? Well I have some ideas.
00:55:10
Speaker 4: Yeah, no, dude, Sergios.
00:55:12
Speaker 5: You watch them walk around the ballpark people, Oh yeah, they love the best pill of flock to Surgery A man. He's uh, he's awesome. So yeah, that's awesome. He'll be out there tomorrow walking around with a camera one oh five, first pitch and talking to some fans.
00:55:24
Speaker 4: For a very feature.
00:55:25
Speaker 5: They do.
00:55:25
Speaker 4: That'll be really really cool.
00:55:27
Speaker 5: Eight Oa camb are four one five eighty eight, five sixty seven the number to call in text.

00:55:51
Speaker 4: We'll talk about said topics.
00:55:52
Speaker 5: Haven't done this little should also note it's absolutely nothing like the NBA grow.
00:55:56
Speaker 4: It's a dial, it's a die, that's a bag. This is a dot.
00:55:58
Speaker 5: This is the dirty work dial. We do it every week sorta. It's coming up next on these Sports Leader.

Speaker 5: Understand me, don't mess up.
00:00:24
Speaker 2: Adam Copeland.
00:00:25
Speaker 5: You wanted some sort of like hard hitting Bob Lee journalist and he came to the wrong place.
00:00:29
Speaker 2: Derek Papa, Oh boy, okay. Felt it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it.
00:00:38
Speaker 4: Ridiculous, completely ridiculous.
00:00:41
Speaker 2: Welcome to dirty work. K and B R one O four five and six eighty The Sports Leader.
00:01:19

00:01:22
Speaker 3: They said that they're down to only five flavors.
00:01:29
Speaker 5: It's dirty war. We're on a Friday afternoon, Adam Copeland pop Dandy Dunson as Tim gets his ass out of the chair.
00:01:34
Speaker 4: Are we we're still talking?
00:01:36
Speaker 5: Loader? Is that the other story?
00:01:38
Speaker 6: Still?
00:01:38
Speaker 4: I think we're good? No, we're Overloader. Yeah, I'm over it. Tell you what things go in New York posts?
00:01:43
Speaker 5: Now you see that? Is it really an awful announcement in New York? But I'm looking at New York Post post of Jack Loader's frozen face. I'm like, you know, now I'm.
00:01:51
Speaker 4: Sick of this.
00:01:51
Speaker 5: Now I'm coming yeah, yeah, no, I'm taking Loader down.
00:01:53
Speaker 4: I suck California Post New York Post.
00:01:56
Speaker 5: Maybe maybe it was a reprint from the California that's where get all of our craft section. We get a lot of good crap section, dude, from.
00:02:02
Speaker 4: The We know it's fitting loaders in the crap section. Are we doing a crap section today? I don't think so. I think we're tooling around with it.
00:02:10
Speaker 5: Okay, we are.
00:02:10
Speaker 7: We'll figure it a out when I when I come back from Uh, speaking of tooling around, tooling around.
00:02:16
Speaker 5: Tim and I constantly still fire back and forth on New York Post headlines and my friend Tianna who works over it at the showdown and uh and Connectucky Yankee and Louise in San Francisco, one of the great bartenders in San Francisco. Yeah, anyway, she's big on her line to be frequently is yeah, I get my news from the New York Postay, you get your news from the.
00:02:34
Speaker 4: New York Post.
00:02:34
Speaker 5: And then she goes, no, no, no, I don't read the articles in the headlines. That's where you get my headlines. That's what the news is. It's just headlines from the New York Post, which, by the way, is an insane way to ingest like world politics. You know, I would say so, but there was an insane story the other day. And yeah, I'm opening with this at two oh three. This is probably like a five fifty seven.
00:02:52

00:04:27
Speaker 5: Anywhere he was he was being he was being a He first told police that he was stabbed and then he said he wanted to quote come clean about the stabbing. And he's like, I want to be honest. I did this myself. This right, This is incredible. Dude.

00:05:00
Speaker 4: He just describes his exact appearance.
00:05:04
Speaker 5: Dangling.

00:05:20
Speaker 4: Houston is on. Houston is known as a strip club destination.
00:05:24
Speaker 5: I mean yes, But but also when you say that, I think strip club Central, I don't. I know Houston is known, it's not for strip clubs. Yeah, but I also go uh Atlanta, yes, Miami, Portland. Surprised to say Portland known because I believe that the note is more strip clubs per capita than any city in the US.
00:05:42
Speaker 7: A lyft driver told me about stripper roki, which is where you go on stage do karaoke with the strippers, and alas for my bachelor party that I was attending, we did.
00:05:49
Speaker 1: Not do that.
00:05:50
Speaker 5: No, no, it wasn't your bachelor party.
00:05:51
Speaker 7: It wasn't my bachelor party. It was my friends. And he was like, I don't think so.
00:05:54
Speaker 5: When he was like, he's like, I like, well, I like doing regular stripper stuff. I don't like the singing element of it.
00:05:59
Speaker 7: Yeah, I want them to judging me for like my singing. It's like American Idol strippers.
What what?
00:07:21
Speaker 1: Yeah?
00:07:22
Speaker 5: That was a bachelor party.
00:07:23
Speaker 4: No, we're not saying value potent. He doesn't have to be debauchery. Everybody should doubt.
00:07:29

00:07:44
Speaker 5: I just want to name. I just want to sell everybody who's I'd say that now big and tough and if you get married you don't want to I would, I would, Oh if you were going to if you had a bachelor.
00:07:52
Speaker 7: I'm acting all tough now, but I'm sure like my wife's like, you know what, I think.
00:07:55
Speaker 4: I think most wipes be understanding of that, right, you know, way Camby are it's the topic today? No wait, k NBR Maybe not if.

I won't say names, you have to put your name on nothing. And you did, in fact, attend a gentleman's club. Did you make your significant other aware of it? Because here's the other thing about.
00:08:19
Speaker 4: This kind of gotta be honest about that one.
00:08:21
Speaker 5: I've gotten, I've gotten uh, what's the word I would say? Caught up nabbed. We're like, I've gone to a bachelor party. Yeah, the dude had we like, you know, went to a gentleman's club and all that nobody that. Like, I didn't say anything to the woman I was with, but to the groom, like told his wife when he got home.
00:08:41
Speaker 4: She told all like the.
00:09:30
Speaker 5: Yeah? Yeah, But if you're the dudies like at the bachelor party, like wholl whoahoa, I didn't tell my girl that we were doing this, and everyone's like, well, we're going, well too bad. What are you sitting at the hotel? Yeah, sitting at the Airbnb waiting for them to come back.
00:09:40
Speaker 4: I mean you could do that, but we're going I'll drive, I'll wait outside. Yeah.
00:09:45
Speaker 7: That's the way we're all going to wage their own I guess, in their relationships.

00:10:51
Speaker 5: Yeah. By the way, at two, A want says, dude, that's breaking the bro code, lots of people checking in. We are getting back to this topic, I'm promise because Derek saying he went to a bachelor port You all in Portland, which has more strip clubs per capita than anywhere in the US, does it?
00:11:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, that was the that we're just talking.
00:11:06
Speaker 5: We're just talking like Houston for its strip clubs and your mom's house.
00:11:09
Speaker 4: As you said, just easy. You can't my joke. It was my joke one time at one time.
00:11:15
Speaker 5: You're never again. He's like, my mom listens, dude, that's not cool. Uh So I was like, Derek's yeah we went, and He's like, well, we didn't even go to stripper karaoke. You went hiking coffee shops, had to go to foodoo donut, Yes exactly.
00:11:28
Speaker 4: I really living a life on the end the spot.
00:11:30
Speaker 7: And uh yeah, we went to a lot of breweries, but unfortunately did not go to stripper karaoke.
00:11:34
Speaker 5: You want to go to stripper karaokee dah. They got It's it's a airloom tomato season at the farmer's market tomorrow. I really got some good ones. So I'm just gonna get a couple of early winks. It wasn't my bachelor jamb R four and five away five sixty seven. I number to call antext Did you tell your certificate other you went to a bachelor party or excise me a gentleman's club or a or a general women's club, gentle ladies club. Yeah, you're a bachelor, bachelor rett party. We'll get to those thoughts. Plus, I don't know a whole bunch of other stuff. Dirty work, It's Friday, the sports Leader.
00:12:03
Speaker 9: Hey, guys, go on, get off those wallets, a little cherry pie.
00:12:07
Speaker 8: You found dirty work with Adam Copeland and Derek Papa where no job is too dirty on KNBR The sports Leader.
00:12:22
Come on, dude, the old things you don't think? What what are you talking about? It a year later were death, it wouldn't have been a problem in the moment. Yeah you say that now.
00:15:43
Speaker 7: No, no, no, no no, And a year later is a big deal.
00:15:48
Speaker 4: Come on, it's a bigger deal now, No.
00:15:50
Speaker 5: Nine to one six says you don't say you just let her know that the boys are planning it. Yeah, six of us says I forgot about the scripper mic from John Lyne. What are the great skills absolute skill sets of John one?
00:16:54
Speaker 4: Yeah, he said.
00:16:57
Speaker 5: We empowered some young American females, is what we there, you go two on nine says I went to Portland for a work trip, and my and my team even went for a work trip, and my team even took them to a strip club, Lucky Little Devil's Lounge is what he says. Nice about this Derek getting some recommendations. Still can't believe Derek took three days for Italy in a week for Houston.
00:17:15
Speaker 4: Since the seven was a man? Did he neither for do what you can our sweatpants ever?
00:17:21
Speaker 5: Okay at a strip club asking for Plexico Burrows, Like, great leading, dude, I mean it's a great Yeah, it's really really well said. As you all know, his birthday's coming up at about a.
00:17:29
Speaker 4: Month platte and we got take us against twelve. I'll tell you about that in just a second.
00:17:32
Speaker 5: But dude, you remember that story like he had the go I remember one the waist band of elastic page.
00:17:38
Speaker 7: He was with former Raiders head coach at Tonio Pierce And that's right, Yes, I forgot about that.
00:17:42
Speaker 4: Yeah, and uh, here's the way he dropped in the hospital. Yes, yes he was and packed.
00:34:56
Speaker 5: I don't know when I was calling at fourteen, but I'd sit around like, I mean, we we and you don't have anything going on and you're not old enough to drive yet.
00:35:02
Speaker 4: Yeah, I got'ta be hang with my siblings. We'd do like some camp stuff.
00:35:05
Speaker 5: Once I turned sixteen and I could drive, then it was like, you know a lot of seriously, a lot of like stickball with my buddies, are just driving around doing day camp stuff, or like hanging in the summer but going to ball games, no responsibilities. That feeling of being up late on like a weeknight in the summer, stays light out late. The All Star week, you and I were both just talking about the two thousand and two All Star Game that we can remember where we were when it fell in a tie.
00:35:25
Speaker 4: I was the middle of summer. I was a clear lake. I was sitting there in swim trunks and.
00:35:28
Speaker 5: Eating barbecue and mendosino for me, watching the game outside on a deck.
00:35:32
Speaker 4: Same thing.
00:35:32
Speaker 5: It's just, dude, summertime when you're that age is just one of the best, one of the best feelings and most nostalgic memories I have.
00:35:39
Speaker 7: No I mean, yeah, summer vacation was where it's at where you just watch a baseball game every day.
00:35:43
Speaker 4: I was traveling with my dad all the time.
00:35:44
Speaker 7: I was off summer vacation, going to every place you could think of, and just watching the A's got Those were really really good times.

00:36:53

00:55:30
Speaker 4: We got plenty to get to.
00:55:32
Speaker 5: We are still a little bit later on the show, by the way, gonna catch up with Marcus Thompson of the Athletic at at three point fifty plus. We got to get into, you know, some baseball and giant stuff as well. But before we do all that, dude, I went down to the can beer storage facility down the hall here. You didn't you know what I dug out. It's this big old wheel. Well it's it's more of a dial. H It's got all these topics on it. We'll spin it.
00:56:03
Speaker 10: Do we
