Out here in the Republic of Bald Conda. The Bald Conda. I heard, dude, people are whining about Texas, how fucking hot it is there. It's, yeah, it is. Well, it's not that bad right now, but it's going to get worse. Yeah. Mike, do you see that if you put that auto-framing, I know you have it on right now, but that helps with, like, the... I actually took it off because this new camera... Oh, your new camera, that's what it is? It looks crazy. It zoomed in, like, way too far, so I took the auto-zoom off. I'm like... Yeah, that thing looks awesome. It's fucking sick, yeah. That's high-quality shit right there. Hell yeah, thanks to fucking our boy Alex. So we got some scumbag piece of shit with only like one leg coming on here, right?
Bro, I didn't know that that's why he was called Stumpy until you started fucking making the jokes about I'm going to roast his stomach. Are you fucking retarded? I don't know. I don't really know. I don't know him that well. He doesn't like fucking follow like Twitter like we do all day, you know? Well, he does, but he's not, I guess, incorporated as much in Fitness X as we are. Yeah, true, true. What are you drinking there, dickhead? Take a guess.
Coffee? No, fuck that. Oh, Element. No. What, fucking Fairlife? Nope. You're never gonna get it. Genesis. No. The one and only. Really? My man. That cup is disgusting, by the way. What the fuck is that? It's just beat up metal, dude. That's all it is. You're so fucking poor. We should do we should do we should just generally fucking hop up on Don before we get on this It gonna help the product a lot Well of the idea All right well you want to bring this asshole on here He said he gonna I told him 4 Is it not 4 My clock seating 4 I mean, it might have just taken him longer to walk to the computer. Sorry, am I allowed to say that? I mean, yeah, if you only got one leg to hop on, I get it, you know. Oh, he apparently, he, uh, Brandon reached out to him because he's been, Brandon's been doing all the reach outs lately.
Yes. He's private. He's private? No, he just tried it. Like, tried a dusk, apparently, a couple days ago. Oh, yeah. Stumpy? Yeah. Okay, cool. I know Alpha Fierce Dad just put out a post on it. That was cool. Yeah. Yeah. So, our affiliate code is set up, guys, and we got the email set up, too, so. Nice. Yeah, we can talk about it now. DBA 10. Cool, cool. Nice. Yeah, so, uh, fuck, man. Where's this guy at, dude? I don't know. Maybe he can't figure out the Zoom. Hopefully he has Zoom. I told him it was Zoom.
What do you guys got going on this weekend? Today, but maybe not, because this fucking fires. It's affecting everything. The clouds are all fucked up. It's fucking smoky. You can smell it. That's what I hear. Yeah. Yeah. People on X were saying that we should fine Canada for this. It's an environmental disaster. Fine Canada? I think we should just nuke them, but okay. Yeah, I mean, that also works, but I was trying to at least play somewhere in the middle.
Maybe fine them for the tune of a trillion dollars and bankrupt their company. Yeah. Their company. Their country. My audio sound clear and, like, loud? Everybody's good. Yeah. Your flag is still fucking tipsy. Alex has a flag, too, that's actually waving. Oh, shit. I didn't even see that. You might be more American than either of us today. Hell yeah. I had to come back in today. Where is that Chef Boyardee motherfucker at? I was just talking to Alex about my program. We have it fucking fixed. We just need to fix the aesthetic, playing around with AI and stuff. Yeah. The aesthetic was already good, you said, right? But then the text. The aesthetic was perfect. I just need what I have now as the copy to match that aesthetic so Yeah next time don even bother with the AI thing Just tell it to me or voice dictate it to write a note to me Yeah On page this change this to that What are you doing that different than what I doing I punching shit into claw and making it try to produce I mean, it's a long conversation.
Yeah, never mind. I don't even want to know, to be honest with you. Yeah, it would be, like, I'll tell you, like, on an hour-long phone call, it'll, you know. But yeah, it just, anyways, I can, that is, it sounds like if you put everything already in, as far as what you wanted to change, then I should be able to salvage it, but did you have it rewrite it for you, or you rewrote it? So I went through and told it what needed to be changed based on basically a prompt I gave it, where I did a prompt on Grok, a synopsis of basically my philosophy and the shit that I put in there, and then I was like, this is the context for the copy Okay.
[bleep] Did you lose your other leg? I'm guessing he didn't have Zoom, that's my guess, because I just talked to him before this, and I said 4.05 if you can log on. Agreed, and by the way, one thing we should do is have, like, just for new guests, we could be like, here's like a cheat sheet, like, what you need, you know, have Zoom set up. Yeah, good idea. You know, lighting tips, maybe. I know, do not comply, if you guys want to, we'll have him next, because he said he would, and he's already got the Zoom set up and all that stuff, so we don't have to worry about anything. Perfect.
Perfect, perfect. Alright. We'll work on that. Alright, he's in here. Doubt it. Well, he's, alright, he's in the waiting room, but, mm, God. Hell yeah. He just went, uh, Dark Mode, we need your face here. Walker. I'm gonna let you guys do the intro and welcome you, ready? Michael, you hit it this time. This is just gonna be some bad advice, you're not gonna learn anything from this. I'm just saying, when he gets in here, welcome him. Yeah I got that I got it Admit it to the rest I got a fucking fly in here bro and it killing me It won sit still so I can kill it It fucking bullshit That was me last week, actually. I didn't say anything about it. Fucking bullshit. Pissing me off. Yo, what's up? Our guest has arrived.
The man who eats meat sauce seven days a week. Loves Chef Boyardee. And brings new meaning to the phrase leg day. Welcome, bro. What's up? How you doing? I was better before this started. Yeah, you're in for some serious fucking brain rot here. This is just a bunch of retards. So, shall we call you Ian? Shall we call you Stumpy? I think we should call you Ian, right? Yeah. I don't know. I don't like my name. You're like three quarters of a person. I don't think he gets a first name. I mean, because it does say your name on the thing. I mean, if you want us to call you Stumpy, we will. Oh, I didn't change anything. I use this for professional stuff, too. Yeah, okay. So, yeah, I don't like new job interviews with Stumpy.
Okay, got it. You should go. I don't use, I don't post fitness stuff on, like, my personal page. So, Stumpy is just kind of, yeah, I don't even take my shirt off in public, really. Got it. That makes sense. I hear you. So, let me ask you, when, did you grow up in, I know you live in Florida now. Did you grow up there?
South Georgia. So, North Florida was like, South Georgia was really redneck, right? Yeah. What? Yeah, yeah, they've had a bit of a redemption lately, so I can say that proudly. There used to be a strong music scene here, but it's kind of died. I'm too old for it anyways, but that's what brought me here. How old are you now? 38, 39. I can't even remember. That's when I'll be 40. Are you familiar with Valdosta or Valdosta, however it's pronounced? Yeah, yeah, Valdosta, yeah. Yeah, I actually was born there, which is crazy. I don't have any relation to Georgia. It's just like where my parents were at the time. Cool.
Nice. I've spent some time there. Yeah, I hear it's a pretty nothing town. A university, and I think there's an Air Force base. That's about it. What, um... So, let's get into this shit. What, um, so... How old were you when you joined the military? Why'd you join and how old were you when you joined? Trying to remember exactly. Okay, so I joined March 10th, and my birthday is March 27th. So I was 22 when I joined, 2010, and I turned 23 in basic training. I didn't tell fucking anybody. That's not something you don't want anyone to know. Yeah, yeah. uh so i made that made it through that quietly i got sent to uh fort sam houston right after to be a medic and did the training um and then they went they sent me straight to fort drum uh it snows like nine months out of the year i hear nothing but horrible things and i might talk to anybody um yeah and so i went from florida georgia to upstate new york But I was only there for about six months, and then they sent me straight to Afghanistan.
So I joined the Army because I was doing music for a while, and I was living on couches. At one point, I was sleeping in storage sheds. I was a full-time musician. I've toured every state. I haven't been to Hawaii and Alaska, but every contiguous state. I played two shows in Canada. That was an experience. This is after the military? uh yeah yeah well before and after mostly before i did uh one little stint after getting out um and i hung it up because i got a family now you know i don't i don't want to be away i actually recall that now that you're saying that i think you posted recently like uh a video of your band a while ago yeah yeah yeah yeah that's pretty cool what instrument do you play bro uh bass because it's easiest oh yeah nice uh i've had to rhythm was the hard part holding down the strings comes easy i can't fucking play instruments at all i'm terrible at it all man you said you turned 23 in boot camp i had turned uh 21 in boot camp when i went through and it was like two days before graduation so you know it was kind of chill at that point and the way we celebrated it was so funny because there were like two other guys that also had their birthday that night okay so right it lights out at 2100, they're like, everybody's going to meet in the latrine and you're going to come in all sort of like fucked up.
Like guys had PT shorts on with like a pro mask on and their PC backwards just you know all sorts of kind of fucked up kind of make it fun of the whole situation And we basically just hoot and hollered for like 30 seconds And then everybody ran back to their bumps quiet as fuck and was like all right shut the fuck up Like, happy birthday, everybody. Let's get out of here without problems. The small things, man. Little bits of freedom there. Yeah. So I guess let's get into the the question of the hour, I guess, and then we'll get into some fun stuff. I have to ask you are you Skinnamarink or are you Wissy?
You motherfucker! Is that why you asked me earlier? Genius. Skinnamarink, man. Skinnamarink. My wife's been calling me that since fucking high school, man. It's fitting. Yeah. That was perfect. Fucking dickhead. Yeah. So anyways, I know you have it pinned to your profile. People have read it. Not everybody knows your story. I mean, Alex didn't even know your story. He didn't even know that you have one leg and everything. So if you could, if you don't mind, I'd like you to run through the events of that day, how you got your purple heart and all that stuff, if you'd like to. I'd also like to say before you start just as a service member as a soldier and you know Mike's a soldier too but just speaking for myself the normies like civilian population like you know thank you for your service and they look up to you because you're a veteran it's all great stuff but I look up to the guys you know who have a purple heart who shed blood like that to me that's a fucking soldier right there like there's no other way about it dude lost a limb like what I ain't shit compared to that I didn't even deploy so I ain't shit When I look at that, I'm just like, you know, fucking all honor and respect.
So I just wanted to say that. I appreciate it. Before I deployed, I was with 10th Mountain Division, and they deployed a fucking lot. So I got there, and they had just deployed the year before, and I joined the medical platoon. And one of the medics was actually getting ready to medically retire, and he had a purple arc. and the back of their I think MRAP or something had taken an RPG and the Straton got them pretty good but I remember meeting him and just being amazed having that feeling of just respect and honor for that person but being on the other side of it now it just like I see you guys and you took the same oaths so I appreciate it but I never doubt y would do the same thing so respect it's a two way street so where am I where did I start I got sent to Afghanistan I think it was June No, no, March.
Yeah, so I joined the army in March, and then I deployed the following March, ironically. How much details do you want? Whatever. It's up to you. Leave it. Whatever you want to do. I'm trying to remember. I flew in Germany, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, maybe. I don't know. A lot of stands. Fucking Russia. Didn't stay long enough to see anything. ate a lot of candy because the the bases there had the best defects uh the further out we got the shittier it got um i was with the artillery unit and being a medic with artillery unit you think it's pretty safe bet you're gonna be somewhere stationary but uh it was hearts and minds so we were out just fucking being wannabe mps police or whatever uh going around hey how you doing please don't shoot us in the back when we leave and you know they would uh a lot of that and the first month was actually pretty quiet they were still trying to harvest um there was something enacted right when we got there and this was in 2011 they were harvesting their last poppy growth uh of a harvest whatever it is um but they would sell it to the taliban and you can look this up it wasn't until the cia got involved and we got involved over there that they became the opium producers of the world like the top producing ironically um but then at some point we shut it down and these farmers had made their lives on that so this is like going into georgia and saying you can't grow peaches or into florida and saying
you can't grow oranges like well now you're gonna have a lot of pissed off farmers and naturally they put down the pitchforks and they picked up the fucking ak-47s and we would be a thousand yards at all times away from these people taking pop shots and uh the whole idea of it was they would lure you in to iad belts and you know you never catch them because you get to the iad belt and then you gotta call fucking eod and um just games really but after that uh first month it got crazier and crazier it would die down during the hottest parts of the day um they have their i think i was there for ramadan i don't know is that was that when they stopped eating during the middle of the day yes i don't mean to sound culturally unaware no that is yeah you ignorant bastard yeah so that was nice because they were less active so it was pretty normal missions for a while we would go out in the mornings and set up checkpoints and we would check fingerprints and scan irises you know try to identify bomb makers and stuff like that and about three weeks before I got blown up we were out doing one of those missions I was in 3rd platoon and 2nd platoon found a bunch of IEDs and EOD couldn't come until overnight they had been out since morning and we had got sent out later so we were sent in to relieve them and they were going to go back to base and we would sit overnight the idea is you want to keep the Taliban from going in
dismantling shit, putting it somewhere else in route somewhere along the way my lieutenant was uh walking he stepped slightly off the path and activated i.d and him and several guys around him got fucked up pretty bad he lost both his legs um and i was probably about 100 yards away at this point uh it was dark but it was it was so loud and so bright the whole fucking sky it looked like daytime for you know one or two seconds and next to my own IED it was the loudest thing I'd heard ever and I was the medic so the scream sounded American you know you could tell the difference there wasn't words so I just went and I made it a distance and an E7 we called him Gunny that means something in an artillery unit I'm a medic I don't know what the fuck that means gunny. He cut me off and he's like, if you get blown up, we're fucked. So let me lead the way.
And we made it there. Threw on the tourniquets. And he had lost a lot of blood. And that's, it's weird to even dwell on stuff like this because I actually have family that are EMTs and they deal with kids and shit. So if you want to talk about PTSD or things like that, it's prevalent in the civilian world too. He was asking me, like, am I going to die? And, like, that's probably the heaviest experience I had of anything. He didn't. He's got three kids now. Beautiful little family. But got him out of there. There were three other guys injured. And we had a new lieutenant come in about a week later. And we were all shook up for a while.
I ordered some new boots because mine were so bloody. I got a new aid bag. And we got back to it with the new lieutenant. And we were about a month in, and we got sent on a three-day mission where we would set up a little patrol base and go and systematically clear out this village of IED materials. on the second or third day towards the end of the day is our last little mission of the day before we're going to wind down we're on our way back to our little patrol base and we're moving north and we see a guy more like a kid running from east to west and we alert the LT and we're down to this point after that IED blast we had five guys get sent out for, the LT got sent back home because he lost limbs but the other guys were, they were still out recovering and there was something going on with the Afghan army where they weren't coming out on missions with us anymore, there was some big tiff and we weren't even supposed to go out without them but we were and it was only about 15 of us at this time.
They called us the Dirty Dozen. We always got the shit into the shit mission, the third platoon. But anyways, so we see that guy running and there was one guy ahead of me and he the LT when we saw the guy he said move to defensive positions there was a mud wall Everything fucking mud He went to get in position and he stepped over something that he later told me And before he could alert me, I was moving. That's the crazy thing about being over there looking for IEDs while looking at people trying to shoot you in the back. You can't do both at the same time. So I'm looking this way. Boom, I step on it. and at first like i thought maybe our artillery rounders i didn't know what it could have been because i don't know you don't think id um and a few weeks before they had used a like a 203 equivalent i don't know what maybe they had a 203 like a rifle mounted grenade launcher and walked grenades in on our little base uh the bigger base the cop so i knew that they had some kind of capabilities for explosives so i was like aware enough to try to figure out what had happened but it was just a boom i'm on the ground i can't see anything and my ears are ringing so i screamed two times and uh i could hear my own voice and then i could hear other people screaming who's hit and [bleep] you know it's [bleep] um and they get to me and there's dirt under my eyelids um and that's actually, I was wearing contacts and I wasn't supposed to,
but that probably saved my vision. They were able to just use water and rinse my eyes out and I could see. And my aid bag had been blown apart, but I had two CLS guys, uh, combat lifesavers that I would train all the time in our free time. They actually came to me. They're very awesome, proactive guys. And, uh, they carried a second bag and they were there in an instant. and I I remember looking at my hand and it was just you see it was turned inside out there were just the bones were sticking out and I was like fuck that's gone and I figured both my legs were gone the beans of Frank there and they were like yeah you're good I was like rock and roll put on some currency every time that is all that fucking matters every fucking time swear to god that happened they got the tourniquets on and I could hear them radio in they still couldn't stop the bleeding and the helicopters came in and then they sprung an ambush and actually tried to shoot down the helicopter with a recoilless rifle and they missed, thankfully.
But a funny image, I remember it. I'm on the stretcher. When you're injured, they strip you naked for a blood sweep. They want to make sure there's no uncontrolled bleeding because there's been cases where people have died from bleeding out in the back and people had no idea. But there was another guy that was injured behind me, and he got peppered. So they stripped him down, too, and he was just peppered means like you throw pepper on something, you know, little dots. He was still jacked up, but nothing needing a tourniquet. He was able to still run to the helicopter. They're carrying me. We're both naked, and I'm in the stretcher, and I look, and I just see him running naked in a battlefield, and the ambush has sprung at this point.
so there's people seeing this too through their rifles that's wild he's just holding on to his helmet butt naked dick clapping just running to the helicopter and i'm just like well here we go like there's nothing i can do i'm just along for the ride uh oh my god landed in uh not kandahar it was somewhere in right bogram maybe uh but uh yeah i was there for like 10 days or Germany for 10 days. I made it home. I think it was July 4th, 2011. I was only in country for literally 90 days. I was in Afghanistan. My platoon sergeant was like, a few months before I got blown up, he said, statistically speaking, if you make it past 90 days, you're in the clear. Day 90, my ass gets blown up and then no one else is seriously injured.
This is an appointment. Go figure. That's how my luck is. Crazy. sorry if I made that too long no all good haven't patched it in a while got lost in it that was like one of the best stories I've heard in a long time yeah I mean listen I've not the only thing I know from that like I said I didn't deploy or anything is shit that you see in movies and everybody says that's over there it's way different in the movie so yeah just hearing your account it's just crazy man there's a movie The Outpost that is the closest to my experience That's a crazy movie. That shit, yeah. That one hit home. That one and then there a documentary Restrepo We weren in the mountains like Restrepo That just a good one Yeah man I was only there 90 days And it's weird because people, they'll see the injuries.
And I feel more indebted to people that have put in 20 years and sat behind a desk. I don't know. I was, I don't know, bad place, wrong place. It's really time. It is what it is. I'm lucky to be here. You did the mission all the way to the end for what literally everybody sitting behind the desk is doing. They're all supporting you.
True. Appreciate that. Have you seen the Hornet's Nest? No. What's that one? No. Oh, you got to watch that one. That's like a firsthand. My drill sergeant showed us that shit. He was like, this was my unit. He was in 101st. And we were at boot camp during Memorial Day. So he took us into the classroom and was like, sit down, trainees, you're going to watch this. Yeah, it was this old journalist. They allowed to go out with a unit from 101st and basically first person viewed their whole sort of mission for like the course of four or five days. And they saw a lot of action. It was really good, especially at the end. They do roll call. Is that right? This is Afghanistan. And you just can't help but feel, you know, almost brought to tears the roll call first person view.
it's a pretty good documentary yeah I got the hornet sense that sounds awesome yeah good stuff way to open this up what a question I figure we get the hard stuff out of the way you know what I mean he likes it hard always if my daughter is four years old and rabid if she burst in here she might be naked so if you see me leap i got you yeah she's they're in the pool right now so did you meet your wife before or after service uh before we've been together a long time since like 2005 that's awesome yes perspective on that i'm sure it's just also a very wild story to hear yeah man uh when they called her, every time she talked to him, he lost his right leg, he lost his left leg. Uh... But she, they flew her and my mom and my parents have been separated all my life, but they were able to each visit the government, put them up in motels.
Yeah, she was there by my side the whole time, man. Always has been. High school. Good woman. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I don't put her online because I'd kill somebody. I hear you. I hear you. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I just feel disqualified. You sound barefoot? There we go. Get some feet action for your show. Let's see the feet. I'll show you this one. I got some for you too, yeah. Oh, they're dirty. This one doesn't get in the shower.
Put some fucking 409 on it. Wow. What's the most bullshit exercise somebody told you to do? You know, like coming out, having to really adjust how you exercise. What's something that you were just like, this is so fucking stupid. Um. So I can't think of a particular exercise, but. I was in the warrior transition unit at Fort Benning trying to get out. That's where I retired out of. And they wanted me to join the warrior team or whatever. And it's...
This is sensitive to topics. I'm not trying to offend anyone. But there is a reality where you have people in the military that exaggerate conditions for medical retirement. And I encountered a lot of those people and they were on the warrior team or whatever. And they were using wheelchairs. Somebody needed a fucking wheelchair. It just felt so stupid.
But they wanted me to do it. And I wouldn't do it because, again, it felt stupid. So they made me do P90X. It's a train. And again, I'm not. I don't know. I don't mean to discredit anyone's military service. But it took me two years to medically retire because there were just so many people that scraped their knee in basic training and were like I need That's crazy.
It's, I don't know, it's just a sensitive topic. Yeah, I didn't know that WTU was so infested with that much fraud. I don't know, man. P90X, you didn't love it? I did that ad ripper like every day and stayed fat as hell. I've seen your before pictures. Yeah, you were a little chunky, yeah. A little? So that was like 2000.
So yeah, 2019, I had a bad issue where. I had some, when they sewed up old Stumpy, there were sutures internally that were supposed to stay. And I guess for whatever reason, your body can later be like, nah. And that's what happened. So, like, it formed a big pustule thing inside and worked its way to the surface.
So, it took me all of 2019 to get that sorted out. I actually had to write a congressman to get on to the VA to see me more timely because it was taking so long and I was unable to use my leg. So for all of 2019, I was on crutches or in a wheelchair and I gained so much weight. And in that process, my oldest son, he gained a ton of weight too. Yep.
Coach Jesus, Ben, and Rodney, and Joker, and Jeep. But those are the ones that drew me in. Like Jeep was awesome because she was coming out of a bad relationship and putting her life back together My mom was single for a while and I have a lot of respect for strong women I know she wanted so much out of life, and she was capable of so much, and she just really inspired me.
That was a bad loss. That sucked. I didn't know her that well, but when I first started posting and everything, she was always the first one in the comments, cheering you on. She was fucking awesome, and that sucked, man, when I heard that. I didn't even know her personally. She was that good of a person. If there's a better metric for how to measure the quality of a person, I don't know, because here we are talking about her, and it's almost a year later. Exactly. Then there's Rodney, man. He's in his early 70s. 68. 68. Man, I'm rounding up. Sorry, Rodney. Crazy. He looks fucking ridiculous for 68. Yes. He's a good guy.
And Joker looks like something out of a comic book. Yep. And Dukes, too. But they were all so welcoming. And I just kind of followed along for a while. Saw what they were doing and tried to do it myself. And I lost a lot of weight. And I hired Boyd for a while. And he helped me out with some good workouts. But I couldn't afford it for too long. So, I dropped him as a coach and went solo and just kept doing the things he showed me. And I planned to go back to him after the cut when I was going to bulk. And I messaged him, but he never got back to me. And I'm guessing it was lost in the inboxes. I mean, that was like the peak of like gay ex, like your money in the inbox before the economy went to shit. Everybody had them stimmies.
So, he didn't get back to me, so I reached out to Yeezus, and I've been working with Yeezus ever since. I think it's probably around two years now. And my son has dropped almost all the weight. He had a nice growth spurt to lean into, but we've been lifting together for about a month now. He 14 and he a gamer It is what it is not hating on people hobbies but you have to be mindful of your body and we try to teach him that So I got him doing squats now like we going just like basic starting strength approach you know Yep All right So his squats he couldn even get down in that Smith machine He couldn't get parallel without falling. And that was a month ago. Now he's doing three sets of five with 45 on his back.
Fucking ass to grass, man. Awesome. And his confidence and that, my whole endeavor into fitness was because of him. Um, but it's, being a parent, you know, like, the importance of leading. Um, you can say, hey, you need to do these things, but if you're sitting around being a fat shit, it's not going to mean anything. So, I didn't even make a big, uh, message towards him. It was just subtle things, and he followed along. So, that. Show by doing, yep. Exactly. So, that's what keeps me in this community, and like I said, I don't post stuff on my personal pages, because I just frankly don't want people to know shit about me. Yeah, I hear that. I hear that. But if I can give back to anyone in that same kind of way, that's awesome. I'm just here to pump people up in the same way that they have me.
Well, you're 100% an inspiration for many people, most anybody, really. I have to be honest with you. What you're doing out there, it's fucking awesome. You know what I mean? Thanks. Yep. It's for my family. There's no better reason. You know that. Yep. So, I'm going to hit you with some rapid-fire questions. Don't think about it. Whatever first comes to your mind, that's the answer. All right. So, if you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pecan pie. Okay, I don't hate that answer. I'm surprised, you asshole. All right, if you can instantly master one skill, what would it be? Bass guitar. Okay, makes perfect sense. What is one small thing that bothers the shit out of you? My penis.
Yes, such a good answer. Oh, man. Alright, here's a tougher one, you don't have to answer it, but hey, if you could anonymously destroy someone's life, whose would it be? Fucking Bill Gates, man. Alright, hell yeah. Love it. And last one, would you want to know exactly when and how you will die? No. Why not? Fuck, I stress about shit that doesn't even, that isn't real. I'm the same way, I feel you there. I would never want to know. I have it on my calendar. Yeah, exactly.
Was there ever a time when you got out that you considered getting into nugget porn? I saw this in the comments, what is nugget porn? You mean to tell me the man who is three quarters of a person doesn't know what nugget porn is? It's amputee porn. It's basically people with, like, no limbs, arguably less limbs than you, and they're going at it. It's a pretty interesting human feat. I'm surprised you just didn't know. Wow.
I honestly didn't know that either. Well, I don't know if you've seen the girth. So, this, we've got a full femur here, man. And there's some girth on that thing. I don't know. Do they? See, you're asking all the right questions. I'm not going to do the research myself. We should probably pull this up right now and find out. Like Joe Rogan, Jamie. Yeah. Put the nugget porn on the screen for us. Good idea. I am not being Jamie for this topic.
I mean, has it had an impact on your sex life? Like, did you have a favorite sex position, and now it's like, I can't really do, or maybe you do more because you're more agile. Maybe it's shit mobility, but we're on a mountain. I will say Brazilian jiu-jitsu is the best thing you can do for your sex life.
Oh, what an answer. The hip mobility? No, I can, I'm very, very agile. The only thing is, if I want to switch, I guess I could get in bed with the leg on, but it's fucking cumbersome. So, yeah, if we want to get down while it's getting up, I got to put the leg on. Oh, I had to ask. I have to know these things. Hey, man. It's all on the table.
Alex, you've been awfully quiet. Yeah, well I don't feel very super qualified to enter into this conversation, because we already did the rankings as far as Purple Heart Lost Limbs Deployed didn deploy but you all in the service I didn even serve so I just like a It all good Anything on your mind Anything on your mind at all Old thing because he has air and you don
I mean, I think it's, you know, both of you guys, the Michaela's both know how much I respect the service members and EMTs, the first responders, the heroes, Leos, nurses, teachers. There's, you know, I think that there's certain roles that are underappreciated. Which is why there's 20% off for those things on Genesis, by the way. Correct. Correct. Good point. Genesis, 20% off if you're a hero. But I just have great respect for those people who do those roles that I think are vastly underappreciated and there's such a sacrifice. There is a different level of sacrifice, what I'm hearing from you today, that usually we don't hear. But even if it is not at that Purple Heart level, you know, to go home from, like you said your family was in EMTs and they have to go and try to save children, sometimes they might not be able to and then have to talk to the parents. Like imagine coming home with that and then your partner at home might expect you to try to be happy I would add, as veterans, we often have more resources to deal with those kind of things compared to EMTs and firefighters.
And school shooting survivors, man, I don't know. PTSD is such a, for a while, people tried to attribute it only to the military. And, uh, that kind of alienates us, you know? We're all human. Like, PTSD is a very normal thing, and, like, we don't have a monopoly on it. Sorry, I get lost in my words sometimes. I love it. It's a great point. It's a great point. I mean, that was fair. That was measured. I think everybody resonates with that, yeah. Can I ask you, uh, Ian, would you, like, do you like when people say, I'm curious, like, what is the proper way to show respect, not just to veterans, perhaps, but also the whole gamut of who we just talked about, like, I appreciate your service, thank you for your service, because I've heard it gone both ways, where some people are like, yeah thanks I mean I hear it all the time I mean it feels sort of like lip service but also some people are like thank you you know thanks for the support Is there a better way to say it or what the way to show that support It's weird because it's, I don't ever expect it.
Like, even, I have a, I don't wear a lot of clothing that markets it, and I don't wear my hair in a very obvious way. And then you see the scars and you might assume. But when I do wear shirts that have markings on them that are military, compared to 10 years ago, the amount of people saying things like that, Thank you. It's way less these days. I'm not complaining. This is just commenting on it. Back then, it did feel kind of like, yeah, I get it. Thank you. We're just doing a job. Now, it's not that it feels like the things were forgotten or people don't care. The way it all ended makes it easy to resonate with if people do feel that way. Yeah.
Like I said about you guys and your own military experiences, if we had been in different roles, like, you would have done the same things I did. Like, I don't doubt it. Like, we all took the same oath. Yeah, and thank y'all for your service. Oh, I didn't serve. Well, thank you for being here in the interview and your epic beard. You're welcome. You can't thank me for my hair. I got two questions from the post, actually. This one, I think I can answer it myself, but I'm going to ask you. From Jason Heavy, he says, does he really get that much more stability by leaving the prosthetic on behind him when he's doing Bulgarian split squats on the Smith machine?
Excuse me. I don see how else you would do it Is he saying like just hang your leg down Because that weird Yeah so You know I not an exercise physiologist or whatever the hell it called But I think the principles. You're comparing Bulgarians with, like, a single leg squat there. Yeah. So I do. At the bottom, I'm able to very. Lightly apply a bit of upwards push on the prosthetic side. But, yeah, it's mostly for balance and getting the weights on, like, without a leg on. It would be more cumbersome to take it off. So I'll give you something for your viewers. I'll show you what I got to deal with with this thing.
So. Hold on. Before you start, before you show that, that thing charges, correct, you said? Yeah, yeah. What is the charging for? Charges? You mean it's powered? It's a powered light? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's like some Batman shit. Yeah, right? I never heard of that before. This is the charger, so this is magnetic. And it goes on here.
It just sticks on. Let's see what I'm at. This is insane. So, yeah, I'm fully charged. There's an accelerometer and a gyroscope in there. And they detect how fast the upward part of my leg is moving. And there are motors in the bottom part that, based on the readings of the accelerometer and the gyroscope, propel the lower limb forward. So the faster I swing the top of my leg, the faster the bottom motors know to operate to get the foot out in front of me. And I can actually run in this leg, but it weighs like 10 pounds, and it's just super cumbersome. And I'm dealing with a pretty poor fit right now, so when I take this thing off, you're supposed to have, these are called socks, and I'm wearing a ton of them right now, because I've been, this is the same leg I was wearing 70 pounds ago.
Okay. So it's not fitting now. So, you have to get refitted for that, I'm guessing? Yeah. Yeah, I'm in the process now. I was supposed to do it late last year, and I was coming off of a cut. And every time I'd go in and try a new one, I'd be a little smaller, and it wouldn't fit right. So we decided to wait. And I just ended a bulk a few weeks, a month ago. So we're going to see what happens this time. It's like hitting a moving target. Yeah. All right. So next question, which is my favorite question of this whole episode. So what would it take? This is from Mel, by the way. What would it take for you to add beans and make it an actual church?
Okay. I guess we'd have to revise history because – I hate you right now. When you say actual, you mean the original? No. I mean, listen. It could be true. You could be right. It was Wikipedia. Wikipedia is fucking full of shit a lot of the times. There's a book. There's a published book called Texas Red. Let me tell you the story. This is the story. There was this guy sitting around, this real bald, ugly guy way back in the day. Had a real shitty beard, too. He wears backwards hats and those stupid ass review videos. He'd do reviews in the local newspapers. This was before videos. But he was real fucking poor. Yeah, he was a real poor piece of shit. And he tasted delicious bowl of beanless chili. but he could only afford a small small amount he said what can i put into this to make it last longer and he had a whole bunch of just real shitty beans and some rice and some some frog legs and whatever other bullshit sitting around he could find goat dicks even yeah bull dicks there you go some some pizzle and the way he says pizzle that just rolls off the tongue uh So he mixed those all in there, and then you got your new recipe that ruined the original Texas Red that was just seasoned beef and, I think, tomato sauce.
It's meat sauce. That was the recipe. I guess. I mean, listen, I'm not going to argue it. I'm sure it's true. I just think now new things happen, people understand things, and beans and chili is a must. I mean, listen, motherfucker, I put out that poll months ago, and I think it was like 90-10. It was thousands of people that said beans belong in motherfucking chili Do you think the average person is a smart person no absolutely not you right absolutely not uh probably over 50 are retarded well so actually beans are shit i don like beans you and uh bowtie hrt fucking hates him too he's a big billy yeah he's fucked dude he was my top affiliate for a long time i'm firing him right now he fucking hates beans um It started, I was just trying to find a way.
I was on a cut and I had some sores on my leg so I couldn't get my steps in. I was having to be very pinched my calories. I was like 1,800 calories at the end of the cut. And I was just trying to find a way to make ground beef taste better. So beans would be more calories, one. But two, they taste like ass, so why bother? but that's the story behind why I eat chili so long I actually don't eat it as often as you think it's been a few weeks I did eat it so long for a while that it tore my stomach up so I have to be more cautious all that red chili yeah interesting are you a big peptide fan are you big in the space of like researching and experimenting different shit on yourself um I'm not opposed to it it's financially prohibitive I do so I use TRT and there is there's so much contention around this shit I never try to hide it but I also like when you're open about it people mistake that as like you're pushing it or something like I don't give a fuck what people do what what what happened with me um i lost all that weight um did it all naturally and stuff but my t levels were low before that all started and i tried to do everything naturally or whatever optimize and i still couldn't do it and it i had low hematocrit and low iron um so my your testosterone directly affects those things and being in a high cortisol state from not sleeping and dealing with insomnia and shit like this that things that veterans deal with I just I could not recover my testosterone levels to a normal level I was sub 300 Um the quality of life is what
is worth it to me. Like I'm not trying to, I take, I have taken more, uh, last year I've gone as, as much as 350. Um, and now I think I do around 200 a week. Uh, I try to keep it and at a more therapeutic level or whatever. Just feel good, man. That's what it's about. Exactly. I'm very health conscious. I use Masteron, however you say it, in conjunction with that. It doesn't, from what I understand, suppress your E2, but I don't take AIs because of the way the mass works with the test. So I do those two. And then I have taken Reta before. but those things all of that doesn't sound like you're like a human pin cushion trying everything that comes out because I know a lot of guys in the space that I'm curious to talk to they're on like 10, 12 different things a day it's insane experimenting with a lot of stuff I'm the same way I'm a minimalist like Stumpy like I'm very little things yeah I spend too much money on guns and ammo that is true that is true you do like I'm not even like it's just an expensive is that your backyard by the way where you shoot no i wish okay i'm in a little suburban wannabe like you can't cut down trees or anything and the deer are all out in the neighborhoods but the houses are super close together it's the worst for both worlds okay i just thought that was your backyard or something where you were shooting out there i wish man no that's where i grew up in georgia that would be the case but yeah yeah okay and uh i don't have a lot of injection sites so like people do the
pec and i don't know i have to do that i i did my lat one time with that hero stuff the pump blend that's like one of the only things i really use besides testing my fucking dude i'll never i felt like i got shot in my lat i will never do dude i'm glutes and delts and that's it fuck everything else dude high on the quad for me I real high that water was good I've been the quad for a year straight when I was a male carnitine and like after a year I couldn touch a needle to my quads it was really yeah hey I do so if I go real high and I go either side of the center line right at the top of where at the top of the quadricep muscle connects I don know what it just called but I'll just poke around and find a spot that doesn't hurt it's crazy how one spot you move a little bit and one hurts and one doesn't but then again I'm only pinning three times a week I don't know how some people do it I don't like needles yeah people that take multiple I couldn't do it good stuff man Michael questions no all good man it's been a hell of a time getting to know this gentleman sorry for the awkward pauses I'm not a very good what do you mean sorry there's no awkward pauses yeah I don't speak publicly at all this has been thank you this has been incredible yeah I appreciate you guys thanks I got two questions yeah what is self-serving anything me first you want to come on again sure yeah yeah I do better continue yes yeah the Mike
Michaela's you agree we should have him on again absolutely second I just heard from, I had followed you from Mike, but I didn't know you that well, and I just found out that my business partner in Genesis, Brandon, who's not here right now, was texting you. I found out yesterday. I was like, he's like, yeah, I just heard back from you showing me the messages, and I was like, he's coming on our, we're talking to him tomorrow. Nice, nice. I just wanted to I was just curious what I don't know did you try to get or I don't know Genesis am I wrong is it a different Stumpy the supplement there's maybe I don't know I need to go stab Brandon I can't check my messages because I'm using my phone for the interview he showed me a message I thought it was your account.
Anyways, it's fine. I went to check it, but I'm using the phone for the interview, so I can't. Did you try any sort of nighttime supplement recently? Yes, I have, but I can't remember what it's called. Genesis Dusk? I don't remember. Does it ring a bell? Not doing a good job of branding, boy. It was a few weeks ago. I was supposed to do a review, but no.
Yeah, I stay busy with the kids, man. I got some young ones. Fair enough. Fair enough. Anything else, gentlemen? Any other bleeding questions? No, it's been a pleasure, man. Yeah. I respect everything that you've shared. Thank you for sharing it. I appreciate you coming on, man. We'll let you know when it comes out. We've got some work to do with that kind of stuff, I guess. Yeah, for sure. We'll put these episodes out and everything, but yeah, we'll let you know. All right. I appreciate you guys. Thanks, man. Much love, brother. Ciao. Take care. See you guys.
That was definitely some bad advice.
