It's hot. Look, if you ain't taken a shower today in Los Angeles, take one. I'ma tell you right now, it's so What did they say? A jalapeno's coochie. Ooh. What'd they say? ⁓ Who's day? It's it's hotter than ⁓ What they say? Satan's Satan's toenails. It's it's so hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's so hot that shit you could this is that whether you can cook shit on the sidewalk. Yeah. Like it's nasty. My draws don't work as well. It's like, you know what I mean? Like you you're you gotta reapply throughout the day to deodorant. Like this is not even a sexy kind of like, ⁓ you gotta no no. This is nasty. This is New York. This is New York heat. This is New York heat, hot. Yeah. ⁓ and a cloud in the sky, son of a bitch. I've been I've been trying to have my hoodies have been hanging like you know like in superhero video ⁓ movies they have the suits like in the glass chamber and it's like waiting just wasting it yeah that's my hoodies right now I think I wore a a sweatshirt two weeks ago because it was like chilly at the of one little moment where it got like to like six to seven sixty-five at night and I said ⁓ this we on a roll y'all this sounds like a little fall absolutely not nah twin Hey babies, if you if you wondering what's what podcast am I listening to? Yeah. What whose show is this? ⁓ hopper Hopahotus woman. I'm on YouTube and I'm like, who's he who these two little black boys on this little thing? Who do they don't? If you you, Louisiana, who they get a little thing, what do look on a black boy on that little thing, boy? ⁓ You eat some gator. You know, what that what I give a boy I'm not eating, I'm nigging now. I'm eating some gator. It's dated. Dated. Who the boy Okay. He's in Louisiana. Who baby? Who b who's going down? Louis Lou and Lou and Crawfish. You in you in New Orleans. Who they down boy? Boy, going down, down now. That's dated. I need to go look back to Lou ⁓ New Orleans. Some po boys. Who was I I was just there last year for something. What was I there for? I gotta go back. I love that day. What was I in New Orleans for? We used ⁓ I did some shows there last year. New Orleans is a weird is a weird city because it's a lot of like all the white boys look like shaggy from Scooby Doo. It's a lot of Tad Eye, a lot of big black people eating good and shit, sweating. Eating, ⁓ eating so good. Sweating. Some of the best food. Some of the best food. You know, but it's it's a very it's probably the most unique city in the country. Nothing looks like New Orleans. Nah. You never, you know, you're never like you can see little corners of Chicago. Is that Chicago or is that New York? You know, or whatever. Midwest all looks the same. Indiana, Ohio's all the same. Very country. I love it. New Orleans is like a different it's it's going down, baby. It's ⁓ the food is different, the music is different. The music is different, the food different. You could drink in the streets. Yeah, so you could drink in the streets. It's a real alcoholic. Yeah. It's an alcoholic dream. I whenever I go, I'm like, I'm not this kind of alcoholic. I'm gonna take my drink to go though. Yeah. I mean I'm not, but I'm And niggas be out all night. I remember when I was there, I'm like, I mean, I was single to two. I was like, hey, why are we just We just out. Ain't no hoes here. What we doin'? Yeah, outside. We just out drinking. And the spots don't close till four or five. Like it like con like a lot of spots. You go to a bar and it's you and six other people just listen to music drinking. I'm like, brother, it's two bounce. Fifty eight in the bounce music. Like hard or like you like It's just too much. Somebody should be shaking ass, but like you said, it's two thirty in the afternoon and Or at night. Or at night. It's time i in in both scenarios. That's what I'm saying. That's about me. I don't need to be here. Yeah, I love it though. But it's a beautiful place. What a beautiful place. Anyways, this is Dayday Show that investigates love. I'm your love maker. Anything. You could have said doctor. You could have said teacher. Maker is love maker. I'm your love maker. I make I make love. That was just Yeah. I make it. ⁓ man. ⁓ And and your host. And I'm joined by one of the finest love examiners of all time. What are you like a a love doctor, a love investigator, a love ⁓ Professor of love. I'm professor of love. I'm a professor. I will profess it and I and I'm a and I think it. And you know, I I got that knowledge around love and shit. You say that you'd be saying that niggas ears like, I love you, nigga. I don't do that. I don't say I love you unless I actually love you. That makes one of us anyway. ⁓ what a fucking week. What a motherfucking week, dude. What a open. ⁓ yeah, this is one of the all time great opens of all time. We've had It's been a stressful early ⁓ pre production Hell yeah. We won't go ups and downs. It's been one of the weirdest equipment. We had deep conversations before. It's funny too when you s you start pod and it's like you really in in like the podcast is people are starting to listen. Back in the day when we would say shit on the podcast, I I don't think we thought anybody was listening. Yeah. And even though they people kind of were on on the O pod. Now it's like we actually have to be we have to watch our fuck think about things. And I think people listen to the show think that especially me, don't think about what I say. And I think about what I say. I think you think about what you say, you just don't care that much about what it is that people That could be true. I and and I don't think I don't think you said anything that I would be like, all right, hold on, pause this but you know what mean? Like there hasn't been a moment where or anything that's been out there that I'm like, okay, hold on. Let's pause this because that was crazy. I don't think I yeah, we haven't had that moment happen. We did have a lot of those though at the old pod. And I'm happy that's not on the internet anymore. Uh-huh. I'm happy. I scrubbed it from my IG. I didn't even realize it was still there until I was really some old clips and stuff. Yeah, I lost my I lost my IG. So a lot of the my wholeness is is deleted. Your wholeness. A lot of my digital wholeness is deleted, and that's really good for me. Can't get deleted. In my career. I need to I need to go back on my old Twitter. Just in case too. I shouldn't say that on here because people looking for it now. Whatever. Anyway. That's right. ⁓ let's get into some current events though. Yeah. Look, one of my favorite shows of of late. I think we talked about this previously, A Different World. It's renewed for a second season, which is big, big news. Huge. Two weeks after it. Yes. We we need the the streets have been thirsty for a black, culturally relevant show to congregate around. And I feel like a different world is one of those shows. It's not cheapened. It's nostalgic. It's it's the old with the new. I don't know if twenty-two year olds are are watching a different world to be honest. I don't know if it means that much to them. I don't know. I can imagine that they are because it is like I think this is what I this is my my hot take on a different world and why people have so much to say. It was because let me speak to the people. Please it's because y'all 30 and y'all forty years old and you watching this young adult. Yeah. D like this show that is directly related to the to the young adults that are out here. And you talking about, ⁓ that's not how I was, that's not how I was, that's not how I was. Bitch, do you remember? It took you seven years to graduate. You know what I'm saying? Like, please shut the hell up. You actually have no idea because you're an old bitch now. And that's okay to be an old bitch. But let the young people have what they have and actually appreciate the show for what it is. It's a it's a beautiful show. You was lame as fucking college. You commuted to school, you ain't getting no hoes. You ain't do nothing. You wasn't you didn't have nobody in your dorm room. You weren't cracking shit. You know what I'm saying? Like just just shut the fuck up. Honestly. It was no, it was honestly a such a great first season of a show. Yeah. So many callbacks to the OG that were like, you know, I was talking to somebody who had never seen the first, like the original at all. Like ⁓ like maybe an episode or two. And they were like, I was like, you you're missing out on some of the not snuck it up things. I'm gonna re I started rewatching the old one. ⁓ I mean, I think I talked about this previous weeks. The the original Different World was one of the most influential shows of a generation for our parents' age. And my mom was of that same age going to college and it really I think it like increased HBCU enrollment in like quarter, like it was like a lot. It was like it was the enrollment in HBCUs in college is significantly it's like our generation, us like sixteen and pregnant. And like and like teen pregnancies were diminished. Well, yeah. It's a similar kind of trajectory where like it truly changed the way people looked at college. Yeah. ⁓ and it's like a beautiful love story. It's a gorgeous like the multi-season love story of the different world is maybe one of the best of all black sitcoms. Probably. It's so because it's so chaotic. It's that young, chaotic like I love this person. Now I don't love you no more. Now I love you again. Now I don't love you. Bitch, you was like that too in college. Like when you were young, like that. It was that you know what I mean? Like your fleeting emotions. This is the first time you out really on your own. You figuring it out. Like they talked about sexuality, virginity, like yeah, a lot of the shit is still relevant. You know what I'm saying? STDs. Like they brought in a lot of things that I think you know that they tackled. Yeah, exactly. That they were able to tackle in 10 episodes. They did a great job in ten episodes. Yeah. I y'all are on drugs. Some of y'all are not well have anything negative to say. There were little moments where my this the the writing felt slightly corny, but that was my only thing of you know, like people would be like, for sure. We're like, you know, those little s but that's kiodern TV yeah as it stands. So I would love I would love for those I mean, that's literally a five percent critique. Not even a two percent critique of like I wanted to feel a slightly more grounded. And that was truly it. Everything I mean, it was it was the the African versus African American conversation. It was the it was the the the basketball player and that little entanglement thing and you know the the the current f sports part of it and you know the five star recruits going to a small school. So it was it was a lot of moments that it felt modern and the old school shit. Old school show, I mean is a whole different a different world is a whole different thing. So anyways, shout out to a different world. We need more black TV shows that we can all congregate around. Hell yeah. I hope I hope HBO can step up to the plate and give us some some heat. Soon. Something something. We've been thirsty for like a Sunday night black show we can get. I think Insecure d not insecure, ⁓ my God. Issa Rae. She's doing something. Which the dude from a a different world. He played like he always had the phone in his hand. I can't remember his name. Damn. Can't remember either. But they he's starring in something that's gonna be that's picked up by HBO and he's like, ⁓ okay. Yeah, it's like he's a she's a struggling, like Boxer or some shit. ⁓ I think I've seen something like that. Yeah, yeah. Like ⁓ and his his best friends want to be like a manager and they're like trying to figure lights out and shit. Something like that could be really very, very interesting. Yeah, we need more black shit to to I mean get on Twitters and threads and all kind of stuff. But that was a time peak peak two thousand, you know, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, when it came to like to insecure Atlanta. Yeah. Blackish. Like peak blackish. People will sleep on people forget blackish 'cause it went a little bit too long and it was like network t television. It did go it it went so many different ways. But Blackish, I rewatched Blackish maybe a couple years ago. Yeah, it's great. It's really good. And it's network television, but but the Insecure Atlanta weekly watch, we all watching this shit. All talking about it. Even movies. Even like that. That's also like peak Marvel movie too. Everything was appointment watched. We had to On the hour, watch this thing, or else you had to stay off social media. That was a time. Yeah. That speaking of that, ⁓ that movie Digger with ⁓ you sell it, the movie Digger with ⁓ no, right. With ⁓ Tom Cruise is projected to be one of the biggest box office flops of all time. Like the first it's probably like a multi hundred million dollar budget. Well what what the hell is Digger about? It's like a well, I'll tell you in a second, but it's like the the projected the projected ⁓ box office is like Seven million or something like that for the first one. But I think the we reason it's failed, is failing, it's gonna fail, is because what we just talked about. People want diverse, cool stories. And this is essentially another white man talking about post-apocalyptic times, but it's like we're already kind of there. ⁓ my god. Like from the from the premise of what I understand, it's like, you know, end of times, you gotta save the world type shit. It's like that's already Elon Musk. You know what I'm saying? That's already Jeff Bezos. Like, we don't we don't need W I don't need to go to a theater and like imagine this is gonna happen. Just tell them the fucking TV. Turn on the TV. Turn on CNN. Turn on anything. Turn on the news. It's like it's it's it's not needed. So anyways that ⁓ it's it's not a shock. Anyway, other current events, TSA. TSA can't sit down anymore. Yeah, so they like put out a r a thing that said TSA agents ⁓ aren't doing, I guess, a good enough job. So now they gotta stand up when they scan your shit. And let me be very clear. Depending on Where you go and where you at, the TSA agents, they are not friendly to your ass. Come on, hurry up. Give me your passport, please. To me, like it's TSA agents, TSA agents and Jamaican restaurant owners are the same recruiting like pool. If you own a Jamaican restaurant in Brooklyn right now and times are hard, work for TSA. It's the same qualifications. Yeah. It's ⁓ post office. If you work at LaGuardia right now and you're just tired of the hours, you want to open up a Jamaican restaurant. You said you you have you have the qualifications. You can do you fit the bill. You can kind of do it really easily. It's the same thing. No, yeah. So I'm I'm a little upset about that for y'all. Let me dislike, but you go ahead. Yeah, let me let me say this ahead of time that I am, you know, I'm sorry for y'all. If you see me coming, know that I didn't ⁓ put this together. ⁓ I didn't ask them to do that. If anything, I'm saying the opposite. I want you to have a seat. ⁓ so please don't. What is sitting down mean? Sitting down doesn't make a fucking difference. I America. That's kinda right. It's one of those things that some guys like, Well, let's look kim with these niggas. Yeah, like let's let's let's bring everyone back to work and have everyone do this and then everyone's in the office and now you can't sit down and You gotta stand the whole all I want is make sure pre check line is under five minutes. That's all I give a fuck about. If I if I pay for pee check, which is like only eighty dollars every ten years, but if I pay for pre check and I gotta be in line more than seven minutes, I'm furious. Cause I'm a I'm a last minute airport shower upper. I I'm not showing up I'm not showing up be f or usually earlier than an hour before take off. I'm boarding. I I'd base everything for boarding. Yeah, so boarding usually 30 minutes before. Yeah. So I'm that's why I'm saying I do like it it hopeful the my hope and prayer, especially if I'm gonna check no shit, is like, all right, I'm gonna you know what I mean? Like I've already checked in, I'm just moving straight through. And like you said, it's gonna take me seven, ten minutes or whatever. Yeah, pre-check? I got global. Big money. International bitch now. Big money. No, I I do. I ⁓ I just got it because I was like I'm about to do a bunch of international travel and I deserve to not do that. No, it's it's honestly if you don't have pre-check in the year of our Lord 2026 and beyond, you're weird. It's a it's a strange it's a strange hill to die on to me. Like to not to decide that there is a shorter line where I don't have to take off my shoes. And it's literally like you go get like ⁓ your thumb. Print. Like it's it takes it's an appointment. It's a quick appointment to just get it and it's easy. So fast. And even getting global was s was fast as hell. So do you so w what time do you get to the airport? You have a two o'clock flight. What time are you getting there? So if it's the flight is at two o'clock, I'm taking off the boards at one thirty. So the board at one thirty is maybe one twenty five. Yeah. So I'm usually getting there ⁓ between twelve thirty, twelve forty five. That's too early for me. Unless I'm unless I'm leaving a a side trust issues, but go ahead. Unless I'm leaving a city and like, I just want to eat maybe at the airport. If I'm leaving home, going somewhere and it's not international, I'm going to even next week when we go to fucking North Carolina this week when we go to North Carolina. I'm not getting there more than an hour before. Cause if if it bar if it boards at, you know, thirty minutes before, it's not gonna take me thirty minutes. In thirty minutes I can get through TSA pre check. I can take a piss, fill my water bottle up, even get something to eat. And then get on the thing on the on the plane. I wanna be very clear. I got trust issues. So now am I getting to the airport hours early? No, no, no, no, no. But if it boards at one thirty, I'm gonna be there by twelve. I'm gonna be there by twelve forty five. ⁓ yeah, twelve Twelve I said twelve thirty, twelve forty five. But that's ⁓ if it boards Yeah, I'm saying I'm saying the flight to number two, it boards the Forty five minutes is a lot for me. I'm doing thirty I'm doing an ⁓ an hour I'm in that in that hour to forty five minute window. So what are doing? So what are you doing while you once you're there? Just sitting at the fucking gate? No, I'll get a drink, nigga. I'm a grown ass man. I get a fucking drink. Only time I'm ever getting a drink is if if I'm leaving the thing already, I'm going home and I'm like Or if I might, of course No, I'm going I'm going to have a good time. I'm let's start this now. Let me reconfigure my fucking I could do that on a plane though. Sure, you can. I do it too on a plane. So what? I could do both. Have you flown first? I flown first a couple of times. Well not a couple times, more than a couple times last year. Excuse me. Yeah, I mean, well I I I end up getting sta I get I got a little bit of status with Delta year before. A lot of traveling? And so yeah, it was. I had a I had a little shorty that was long distance, I had some little work shit. So I was just I was moving and shaking. So ⁓ mostly from work though. I was I'm I traveled a lot for work last year. And so ⁓ I'll get the little automatic upgrades in the night. Bro, that nice little and they pour deep glasses of wine at first. It'd be like two glasses of wine and one and you finish some shits fast. I unfortunately have not had the privilege yet of flying first. ⁓ one time on my it's on it's on my to do and I wanna do it on a on a flight that really matters. I don't wanna do no let me fly first. For two hours. I almost I almost upgraded ca 'cause there's n no fucking direct flights barely from here to North Carolina where we're going. And so there's a couple like I have to go to Detroit once and I almost upgraded my shit beforehand to first for w at least one or two of ⁓ But 'cause I could could have paid with points. But sometimes once you get status, this is the key about status in in flights. And I really just got on game this like like last year. prioritize is using Delta, even if it's more money. Specifically that's using Delta because it you get that it you it pays you back so much more. It does. And and I it's been so many times where I've just been to my point automatically upgraded to first or at minimum comfort plus. Comfort plus yeah. And it's like it's such a difference maker and you get the free drinks and when you get the first, even if it's a short flight, you know, you go to first, it's like, ⁓ it's lit, nigga like it's amazing. Like I No. I and I'm again this is me free drinks it. Like I'm Gonna be upset if it's a two hour first ⁓ first class. But I'm just talking shit. But ⁓ Once you do it, it's like it's hard to go back. Yeah, which is why I don't think it's hard to go back. I I think that I would enjoy that comfort. ⁓ my god. I'm looking at niggas like you dirty bitch ass niggas, get in the back, you fucking scoundrels. See, and that's your fucking problem. That's that's the savannah in you. Yeah, Savannah in you. Yes, it is. You that you got that dog, that Savannah dog in you, and it's nasty to talk to To talk to your people like that. But let me tell you something. shout out to Savannah. I support Beautiful Black I do because Look, ⁓ go ahead. Say what you're about to say. Someone say someone say something. Hey, look, we all gonna get there. Yeah. We all gonna get there. Absolutely. So if I'm in a position or if you're in a position, I ain't gonna be upset. What? Are you kidding me? Now, Savannah is particularly it I think it's a little different for a lot of people in the responses because she got, you know, a family. Her family got a lot of money. She got a lot of she got a lot of money. She got a lot of money. So I think people are like, Well, how you gonna let your business partner do X, Y, Z? Look, I think anybody, I think anybody I've around a lot of people, a lot of money, a good amount of my life. You know, I've been around professional athletes a lot a good amount of most of my life. And people with bread, all kind of shit. And you you gotta understand that, you know, there's levels to having success and money and resources, all that kind of shit. But as a of someone who's even been adjacent to those people. I don't want s another grown ass person paying for everything that I want in life either. ⁓ You know what I'm saying? That's just me, maybe it's Yeah, I think that's the I think that's the straight banning you. I don't want yeah, I don't want somebody paying for every single thing. Now, granted, no, we might do a thing and sure, you pick up the tab and we ⁓ you want to do something? Cool. Sure, sure, sure. I'm not gonna like fight you over every little thing. No, no, no, no, everything, no. But like friend, family lover or whatever. Of course. But at a certain point, it's like, yeah, if I'm if I'm in comfort plus And you're in the whatever and the difference is a thousand to five thousand, which sometimes it is. ⁓ it absolutely is. It's not that fucking worth. Especially if I know you're my friend, family, lover, lover that you might be paying for other parts of the whole shit. You might pay for ninety five percent of the shit and this is the one thing you just didn't pay for. I think it's a I think it's a weird I think it was a weird ⁓ dialogue on the internet. It is. It's it's ⁓ I think it's and most people that have conversations about that or whatever are never around people that actually have a lot of money. Yeah. So they'll never be in this position. Once you are, you realize I'm sorry. You've never you you mad about something. It's like the it's like when I'm sorry. It's like when people are upset about them taxing billionaires. Bitch, you make yeah, you're you don't make no money to be worried about that shit. You don't make enough money to even couple You're getting returns still. And you're not even doing it. If you're getting tax returns, if you're getting returns shut the fuck up about some damn tax savings, bitch ass nigga. Goofy shit. Unless you're paying quarterly payments. If you're not paying quarterly payments, you just do W two and you go on the H and R block and you're getting a thousand dollars back. Shut the fuck up about some taxes. I hate broke niggas talking about rich people stuff. None of your friends are rich. You're not even close. And that's not even me being mean. That's me being like, You're not close and you ain't even doing shit to get And you gotta just treat rich people like they're human. I don't know. I I don't wanna talk about too much. But it's like you have to these are your friends and family and you don't Take advantage of people like that. Yeah, just because that's just that's just not cool to me. Yeah. It's very strange. Anyways, ⁓ Diddy, I guess we can script this. Maybe Diddy's I don't know, I guess he's fucking people and having a good time in jail. I don't know. Yeah, no, yeah. So he got put in solitary confinement because they had a photo of him on the phone and they he'd been paying people thousands of dollars to give massages and I think some of the shit is AI. That's my hot take on the Diddy thing. I don't think so. Okay. Yeah. You think he cracking shit in jail? That's a That's a freak, you fucking frog. Of course he I don't never want to be in jail. I think the boys there's things that I would do that would put me in jail, but I never want to go in jail. That makes sense. Like I would tr I would do things Yeah, that would that are illegal. Okay. I okay, well you're gonna have to I mean I feel I feel like that's a lot of people. I feel like a lot of people do. Yeah, I think like people like, you know, defending your family or whatever, shit like that. It's like, ⁓ I would do a thing probably, but I wouldn't I would hate to go to jail. Yeah. ⁓ I see what you're saying. Yes. I mean I thought I thought you were saying like, you know, I'd rob a bank, but No, I no, I wouldn't do that. That that's stupid. But like if y you weren't going to jail. That's not that stupid. Right. Yeah, that's true. All right. Yeah. All right. I want to get this is actually the clip that I really want to talk about. Okay, let's do it. Fuck Diddy. Let's do it. ⁓ speaking of insecure, our what's his what's that nigga name on the show? Kendrick. Kendrick. What's his name? Kendrick What? Samson? Kendrick Samson was on ⁓ Lovers by Shan podcast. And she talks about a lot of ⁓ like ⁓ alternative love stuff and yeah, experiences and E and ⁓ and stuff and all kind of shit. Solid solid show. But my man was on there talking about parenting and being a parent. And essentially I was I'll play the clip. Hopefully y'all can hear it on the mic. Fucking Hitting your homegirl on the side, like, yo, let me can I crack and give you a kid? And what if it doesn't take the first time? Then you just like, yo, we gotta crack again. You ovulating? Hitting your hitting your girl homegirl in the text. Yo, you ovulating? Yo, yo, how's your period? Your how's your period? Ma? On some on some brush. Yeah Hey your homie what's the test thing? Well let's finish this Yeah. how you be what I saying some bullshit on here? Yeah. Because because because what else you want me to say? Yeah. I gotta yes and you. I have to yes and you or else it ain't gonna go nowhere. Yeah. Yeah. And what you know, what how you betrayed me, how you slept somebody, how you you know. You haven't been shown enough romance until now the kid is suffering. where we know we got kids, it takes a village, this is the village. If you understand especially black maternal mortal mortality in Texas and like how how hard it is like to go through medical systems even like think about natural birth doolas and and and Like my ⁓ it's okay if my homegirl die. But if my but if my sh like what you mean it look okay go ahead Torrance 'cause I got things to say. No, you go ahead. You say your part. Cause mine is As a 34 year old man who at this point who at this point in my life, you know, probably for the first time ever I would say, well, I was actually married, so I won't say first time ever. But like, all right, if I enter to a relationship today I the having a child is an important conversation. Entering into a relationship, you what I'm saying? Like this is okay, this is somebody. If I'm going to be with you, we have to be on the same page of like wanting to have a kid. You know what I'm saying? Or else probably shouldn't we we shouldn't date seriously. That's something that's I would like to have a chance. Procreation is important to meet Danny. So and I think in the most healthy form of raising a kid I think it is important for a kid to look up and see their parents together. Now, granted, my my mom and dad were never I don't know a reality of my mom and dad being together. I never woke up my mom and dad, you know, Christmas morning or whatever. I had a stepfather in my life who's, you I I don't even call him my stepdad. He was my dad, ⁓ growing up. And, you know, he was that person that I woke up and saw every morning with my mom and dad until damn near high school. ⁓ and my younger siblings. My younger siblings, that's their dad. Biological dad, I should say. So I under like I think the value of seeing your mom and your dad be loved, the examples of love, that first memory of love, like we talk about with our guests. It's really important to be raised in a house of that. And I think the village mindset is important too, right? You have your nuclear family, then you have the aunts, you have the cousins, your older cousins, you have the uncles, the the the uncle that teaches you how to fucking dance. He might be a pianist and he teaches you a thing, and the the auntie who Teach you to do hair and all that kind of thing that happen that sometimes we lose in these big cities like LA and New York, where sometimes we're far away from family. I think those things are important. But to say I'm trying to fuck my homegirl only is such a weird fucking thing that is like, I in my opinion, kind of reckless. It's like a void, it's like avoided. It's such it's so avoided that it's like I don't want to be responsible to be romantic, but I want to selfishly have a kid. So I want my I want a business partner and raising my child. And to me that's like a really immature way to look at love and like community holistically. And it's idealistic. Go ahead. Sorry. No, no, no, no, no, no. I I I I'm trying to again hearing it again, I'm trying to see it from that perspective of like because I think and I don't know that man's life. I don't know his life, but it could be like a lot of people, the trauma response of having Families and having that being broken up and having the child suffer from a divided family versus what I it sounds like he's saying is I want something where there is no worry that we're, you know, romantically gonna fall out because we trust each other on this level of friendship. Like I don't really fall out with my friends. Like I that's not my thing in my life where I fall like. You know I mean? Like from that degree. I don't fall out with my friends like I have done with relationships. And so that You saying you or him. I'm saying me trying to understand where he's coming from is like this. I I know me and my friend, we cool, we've been riding for X amount of years, and now we just have a child or we just gonna co-parent this child without romance being involved in romance mucking it up because romance can muck it up from the perspective of like, ⁓ what if things don't work out? Now we have the child together. And we gotta figure out how to do this. There's this resentment, there's anger, there's this jealousy, there's pettiness, there's all these things that go into unfortunately it in many situations with a romantic partner when there are children involved. And so I can understand it from that perspective of where he's coming from. It sounds crazy as hell, but I think that I think that's where I don't understand because I think that's super idealistic. Okay. It is. Let's go, let's go It is, it is, it is. So let's go back, let's go back to your point. Me and my homegirl probably either crack or do the doctor way. Either way. Cracking makes it even more complicated, but even if do the doctor professional way, you can inseminate it, whatever. You're still a boy and girl and you still are gonna be two different people that have to collaborate on raising a human. It's not it's not a fucking timeshare. No, no, no. I agree. It's not a rental property. I agree. This is a kid. So the so the the homegirl that you cool with that you've been cool with since college or whatever, you know, is your you've been friends for ten years, you know she's whatever, whatever, whatever. You never had to collaborate on raising a kid. So where she so even though it might not be romantic, where that kid goes to school, where do you live, you wanna move sh or she wants to move. Some nigga she's dating. Now he's kind of fucking weird. You think you think just because you didn't fuck your friend, all of a sudden she dates some weirdo, you're gonna be okay with it? And again You know what I'm saying? Again, and again, I'm not saying that it is ⁓ that I don't think it's foolproof. I think that it's just in his mind, taking romance out of it will make it I think it's less I think it's I think s even saying the word foolproof is insane. Not saying you're insane, but I think it's worth I think it's lower than foolproof. I think it's foolish. I think to say that is foolish because because if you're a well adjusted person, even if you do break up with your shorty, and whether your kid is small or in the third grade and the kid comes downstairs and you're at the dinner table, you're telling you telling the kid, Mom and Dad are no longer together. Divorce is tough. I've been a a part of it. I've seen it as a young teenager. And it's tough. Breakups are tough as a kid, it changes the dynamic of the household. But if those two people, if you're a well-adjusted person through that divorce, I think the damage that's done can be tr really minimized. And if it depends on the people in any of these scenarios. So if you're so if he's that avoidant, I think he's gonna be a weirdo. And that's I that sounds mean, but it's the truth. He's not gonna be able handle that collaboration with another person, whether he's That's his girl he's fucking, or his homegirl that he just quote unquote trusts. And again, I Because there's a certain level of emotional equity that I have to have a currency availability to say, you're my person and we're no longer we should no longer be together, but let's do this the most healthy way possible. And I understand what you're saying. I do. I wouldn't want to do it that way. That's what I'm saying. Well, mine thing is a little different. So yeah, so mine is a little bit different from my from my from my un my perspective. He might I don't know. He might be also He might be too. I don't know his business. Like I said again, but like it's the idea of and again, it's the fear behind romance affecting the la or romance or the lack of romance affecting the child in some capacity. That's what that's what it comes across. That's what he's saying. But I think ⁓ so Shorty once told me taught me about this, ⁓ or home girl mine, actually not shorty, home girl mine taught me about this thing of like love anarchy and I'm gonna butcher it, but like you can find love in non-roman ⁓ you can find romance and love in non-romantic partners. For sure. For sure. You know, and and that kind of thing. I have I mean, I have definitely had that with so many people. Yeah, like sometimes your friends can just fulfill that love, you know, whatever. And so I just feel like And I think in that and even in that In that space, that's where it sounds like he's trying to operate from with this idea that I'm gonna have a kid with this person who I love, I care about, they love me, we care about each other, we respect each other. There is no idea of like, now romantically, you know, there's no romance involved. And so now we can focus on the child's like upbringing versus like, ⁓ You're not treating me right and then you putting a child before me and you're doing all these things. No, we friends. We cool. We kicking it. So I don't know. I I'm I again my perspective is a little bit different. I don't think I think it's a little funny the way that he put it, but ⁓ as a queer man, yeah. That's a po that's a possibility. Yeah, would you yeah, yeah, right. That'd be a possibility in my mind for me. I I want to ask you that. My last thought on it is that. Someone who's been through divorce, I'm not so foolish to think that just because I have a kid with you and get married, that we're gonna be together forever. So I understand that that might still be a possibility. Even if I do it the right way properly, we can still end up falling out. So I understand that we can still end up back being where he's at of like essentially friends having to, you know, whatever. I just take if you can stay friends after romance, because a lot of people can't stay friends after the romance has burnt and gone away, right? And so that's how I think. He's propositioning this. After listening to more of it, I think that's how he's positioning it. It's interesting to me. But you did, but but I I just think it's idealistic. It's like, once again, if my homegirl has my kid and she's dating a nigga that I don't like, even if even though I'm not jealous of him fucking her, I'm a there's gonna be some at least some jealousy of like who's this nigga raising my kid, first of all, unless she's also gay, we're just like in some commune of. people that we live in the fuck the same plot of land. She's gonna live we're gonna have we're gonna have share custody. It gonna it's gonna be the it's gonna we're gonna live as if damn near we're post divorce anyway. So I gotta who who's your roommate? Who's your who you see in? Who's your partner? Who's around my Where do you live? What school they're going to. It's all the same shit. Then it bec but but even in that I think it's like because they're friends, it's like, ⁓ do this is we all friends, if that makes sense. We all coming together like you know what I mean? I think there's a point, my mom and dad were n were friendly 98% of my childhood. You know? So even though they weren't together by the time I ⁓ all of my childhood, it was they were able to communicate. And even when, you know, if my dad maybe fell short here and there, all these different things, my mom had to step into the plate. She was always respectful of him and he definitely didn't say anything bad about my mom. So all I'm just trying to say is that like just because you go through a divorce or break up doesn't mean you automatically are gonna be in a weird spot. And I'm not saying you're saying this, I'm just saying in general. I think a lot of people go through divorces and aren't necessarily in these peculiar spots where it's like, motherfuck your mom, motherfuck your dad. And I think as a friends, you put a baby in it once 'cause even me and me and you and I I can start a business and the business can go in a where in a way that we fall out. We could be in a band. We can start this podcast and get millions of dollars. And then that might break us apart. You what I'm saying? There's so many things I could Change your diet your friendship dynamic because you're adding this huge massive elephant in the room. And I agree. I'm not disagreeing with that. I don't think it's not an idealistic idea to be like, you know, ⁓ this could work out better. I think that that also could be, and I don't know the man's life. Like I said, maybe it's a trauma response. Maybe it's a trauma response for what he's experienced and what he's seen in his life. Yeah, but that is his solution to a problem of sorts. So that's what I mean. Like I I'm not saying he's correct in this at all. I'm saying this is an interesting perspective to have. And I don't necessarily think that it's wrong. I think I I kind of think it is. Because wrong. I think it I think it's kind of wrong because, you know, even I mean I w I wanna talk about the the queer experience from your perspective on this. But I think that it's as a nigga who's been not the most emotionally available in his dating ⁓ career at times. This is something that a nigga that is not emotionally available would say to be like, Well, I'm trying to communicate my feelings so that you know up front. But I'm really just being I'm still being I'm I'm waving the white flag in my emotional availability by just being like, I'm not ready, but I'm still wanna do extremely convoluted and complicated things with you. And I just but I just don't want I'm just not ready. You know, I've done it. I that's my playbook. So it's like it's not I you know, it's not ⁓ I'm not, you know, whatever. But anyways, going back to the queer experience though, you know, I've I've had friends who, you know, adopt or they might have a donor or, you know, all the different equations of how they have a raise a kid. Yeah. But I think for the examples that I'm thinking of, for the most part, the ⁓ people that I know personally, I should say this, it's been brought up as we're gonna have this kid, whether it's I'm donating or whatever or the sperm, whatever. But it's we together are going to adopt this kid. Or or raise this kid or you know, one of us is gonna donate, maybe one carries, one puts the egg in, or if it's two niggas, they find a girl, whatever. Mm-hmm. But if the premise is that we're together and this is our our kid that we're raising in like a house of love and we're gonna try to be together as long as possible. What would be your idealistic situation if you were to have a kid X amount of years from now? ⁓ I mean, I would I would split a queer baby. So like you would you whose whose baby would it be? Like if if I had a queer friend that'd be like, ⁓ yeah, like I want to have a baby and we're in a s similar and I'm like I wanna have a kid too, and we'll figure out So essentially this exact scenario you would do it? I don't know. Little gay lady, and it was like, Yeah, I'm trying to get my Yeah, and we'll just have our lives. But y'all wouldn't be together ever, right? Or would you? That would interest. Okay. Like that what you're asking? Yeah. Yeah, we wouldn't No, there wouldn't be any romance. It would just be like us loving Loving each other and then loving the baby, ⁓ loving the child and raising the child. ⁓ but again, there's so much compatibility that needs to exist there. Similarly, with any relationship, it needs to be, it should be a level of compatibility that I think that people don't give enough thought into when they are in these love sick relationships. Sometimes people just go and they just they don't think they don't think things through. They're just like, I just wanna. I'm gonna have this baby because it's gonna fix my marriage, or I'm gonna do what I mean. Like and and I think that is, you know, a byproduct of romanticizing, you know, adding, and again, this is just one layer, you know, one example, right, of it where ⁓ that could convolute things that I mean I would be down for that. Now, do what ⁓ what I want me and my partner to say, okay, how are we about to do this thing? We about to adopt, we about to do surrogacy, we're about to do that, yeah. That would be I think my ideal way of doing things. Yeah. But I would not I would not shut down the idea if if I was talking to our my my man, he's just had a kid, ⁓ Jordan. Mm-hmm. And ⁓ and he was just saying like having the kid is so special, like I don't understand how somebody could have a kid and like willingly just like not be there every day. Yeah. And, you know, I feel similarly, like, you know, it would be tough. To like off the rip, I'm ne we're going to be in a joint custody situation. You know, like and you know, granted, if you're in a queer relationship with your friend, maybe our roommates and we just do the thing, you maybe it's what I It it ha and I I like the idea of life looking differently for everyone because again, people who are raised in a house with ⁓ two parents come out fucked up. People who come out fine. Like it it really is not, it's not ⁓ There's a there's always this idealism, right? This idea that, ⁓ this way is gonna be best. Right. This way is the best way to do this. And Yeah, those kids are too dad's too mom, all kinds of shit. You know, dad dad's gay after, you know, whatever, you know, comes up. Mom's gay after years. Like it's it's I I get it. I don't know. I just for me it just felt like such a like I've read four books, but I'm also r still really emotionally unavailable. So this is my excuse. This is like my this is my preamble to be like, you can't be mad at me if I am not a great father because I told you I don't want to be with the nigga every day. You know what I'm saying? It's just I don't know. No, I I I understand what you're saying. I do. I don't know what that would look like. It does sound it sounded it sounds funny the way that he positioned it. I would not disagree, but I do see. I see it. I see it as a queer man. Maybe it's because of that. He might be zesty. He might be zesty. He might be. I don't his business. And I And that might and that honestly honestly might change things. It might. ⁓ all right. ⁓ I want to talk about some other other thing in the current events. ⁓ very much trigger warning. ⁓ essay stuff. So if yeah, fast forward five minutes if if ⁓ for that, for the trigger warning. ⁓ the Cornell Seven stuff. ⁓ I don't wanna spend too too too much time on it because you know it's ⁓ it's like evolving case and we're not lawyers and ⁓ I I would I would like to have a more thorough conversation about it once we just know more details, maybe. Sure. Yeah. ⁓ and but I think the biggest thing, if you aren't familiar with the Cornell Seven, you know, I'm not gonna go get into crazy detail, but ⁓ a young lady was essayed seven fraternity brothers at Cornell. ⁓ and this was back this was two years ago and now it's kind of resurfacing after pressure from students on on campus and there's a civil suit going on now and all this kind of stuff. And some of the the members of the fraternity were removed from the schools, some weren't, some I think are still there. So it's a a lot is going on. I think it's it's a really an important reminder about consent, specifically, you know, for men. And I think, you know, Torrance and I were talking about this a little a good amount before we started recording. And so much of like I think from a man's perspective, there's in l multiple different ways, I think we as men sometimes think like, Well, my friend's not the big back wolf ever. You know, I don't know any guys that are you know this kind of thing. And I think the headlines made it seem maybe like it was something that excused people that do bad things of like, Well, that's not me. In a sense of like, I'm not some big bad guy that's kidnapping some young lady and put her in a dungeon and me and my seven friends are taking advantage of her. But it's like ⁓ oftentimes a lot of the people that I know that have gone through things, men and women, are have come from the these interactions with come people that they know. Yeah. And the ⁓ lack of consent and continuous confirmation of consent is like a big problem that, you know, s men, people in general, but let's talk about men, have to really perfect and be better at and and and improve. And I think that's just a real and it's and it's it's reading and I'll shut the fuck up in a second, Torrance. But like I think it's really important that like that continuous consent is really regurgitated and confirmed. And also as a man like confirming the context clues in between all these different things that someone that you are potentially assaulting may not always be in a position comfortable and or able physically due to being intoxicated. to advocate for themselves. So you, as a someone who's a partner of this person, have to advocate for that person as well in the moment, in these continuous moments. So I just think it's super important. but yeah, I wanna give you the floor to kind of talk about what you've learned about the case or just consent in general. Cause I th I think it's yeah, I I haven't talked about it online. And I wanted to wait till we were on the pod because I feel like it's not fair for us to talk about all these different things about dating and love and shit. And not address it. Absolutely. No. So I I I agree. I think that there are especially when it comes to consent, when it comes to taking care of somebody, I think that that is sort of the major most insane misstep, I think, here is that like she was not taken care of at all. Right. ⁓ and if anything, add additionally was added in the harm's way. And even like, you know, before we when we were talking about it, my thing is. you know, w what the argument online has been recently is that like, ⁓ she consented to them having a threesome and there were drugs involved and maybe, you know, maybe they coerced her, maybe they didn't coerce her, all these things. But then to take it to the group chat and say, hey y'all, pull up. ⁓ right. And let's let's all get in on this. I I that is what takes it from something that is like ⁓ I felt coerced in this moment, or there was a misunderstanding with these two people to now it being like, now we have a fucking scandal on our hands because you opened the door to this hor like it in the most heinous way of deciding that this was the next course of action to take with this young lady. Right. Now, ⁓ again, and even the response ⁓ that the responses she had afterwards, people are like, ⁓ well, she didn't have this response. When you're dealing with trauma, and I don't know if Anybody has gone through ⁓ a significant trauma enough to be like, I don't know how to respond to this right now. Right. I don't know how to feel for this. There I have been through some things personally in my life where it has taken me years to even acknowledge it because it's so painful to think about what position I was in and how someone had me feeling and where how I should feel. Yeah. And I don't want to destroy anybody's life. And we're we are we're all young and I don't wanna be the person that's done. It's it's all those thoughts that go in through your head, and you think that you're not gonna be that. You think that you're not gonna think that way, right? Especially to be so young, right? Young as fuck and experiencing this. So ⁓ at the end of the day, these men have done something that is extreme, it's it's heinous, it's awful. They they did they They crossed the line. Yeah. Right. There's there's a line that you cross and sure. They were young. They're having fun. They're doing a thing to threesome. Apparently is what they said initially is what it was. But when you take it beyond that and you add other people on like without there being like ⁓ yeah, let's have a thing. Let's do let's have a ball. Yeah. They nah. Now you've now now you've taken something that was consensual and you've added it and taken the consent out of it. And I I you know, I I think that the theme of like patience and consent has made any any sexual experience I've had that's based in consent and patience has been way better than when it felt like I mean I've never I'm I was I've never done anything not consensual, but it's like when this feels like we're just rushing or we just did it, you know, what you we without communicating. I think like as you get older, you know, there's I think when you were young, it's like asking somebody what they like always felt like a weird why would I ask somebody what they like? Like I'm getting out of the mood, you know, like before you start what do you like? What do you whatever, whatever, whatever? But then once you start having those conversations, it's like, ⁓ this is actually making everything everybody way more comfortable. This is this is better. Cause once we start going now, it's like now I'm not like, are you sure? Does it does this thing work? Does that thing work? Is cool? Whatever. So I you know, I I just think that ⁓ as men, we have to really You know, patience and consent has to be top of mind all the time. And in like the context clues, I was telling you a story about, you know, when I was went on a couple dates with a girl and had to use a bathroom. We hadn't been on three, this is our third day. We had been out, you know, hung out, kicked or whatever a bunch, made out whatever in the street, all this kind of shit. We had drinks in a in a park and I had to pee really bad. There was no public bathroom, no bathroom from the at the park. Yo, can I use a bathroom real quick? And she was like, ⁓ sure. And I'm like, at that moment when she said the ⁓ I honestly probably should have been like, you what? You're good. Let's just I'll fucking piss somewhere. Well, also knowing New York, finding a bathroom sometimes in New York is like I heard New York is a bathroom. Yeah, well that too. If I was homeless, yeah. ⁓ and I went up to piss and I got remember walking out and like her body language just was so kind of like tense put off. Yeah, tense. Where I merely felt bad. I was like, ⁓ shit. Like I've I've really feel bad about This, 'cause not that I was on on some like, I'm used to bathroom, then I'm gonna try to, you know, it's just like, ⁓ like this person I've had three long ass dates with, we were at minimum friendly. That made you feel uncomfortable. Yeah, and I feel and I felt bad about that. So I, you know, whatever said something to put my shoes on and bounced, and I immediately texted her afterward, I'm s I apologized for even putting her in a position of feeling that I was potentially on some other kind of weird time. Yeah. And I I really hesitate by even telling that story 'cause I feel like whatever. But at the same time I wanted to like show an example of in the in maybe in sparing me looking a certain kind of way, maybe. But I think what it does is it shows that there was this level of consciousness that you had to be like, I'm noticing that this person is uncomfortable, so I'm gonna get out of here. Right. before you're like I'm gonna do my like I'm a I'm a get out. Versus like, ⁓ let me sit down. Let's have a drink. Let's like like trying to like weasel my way into another water. Like being extra and shit. Someone is clearly uncomfortable. Or just like having a wherewith all to be like, yeah, this is not it's not let me get out of here. Let me just Yeah. So I don't know. I d I just I just think to put a a button on this for now. I I think continuous consent, continuous ⁓ patience is always important. And judgment for men. Men have That that is that is a ⁓ awful, stupid, shitty judgment call and you think it makes you cool and it makes you a fucking loser, bruh. And to to I don't know I don't know. I don't know that world where I respect somebody or I like somebody or I care for somebody, even a fucking minuscule of a amount would hit all the all the homies up and be like, Hey, come on over. That's crazy. You know what I'm saying? Like I just I just don't I That to me is what's really That show that showed, in my opinion, out of all the other things, showed a a l real level of ⁓ intent of malice. You know what I mean? Like how 'cause it's 'cause it's not even like yeah, you're you're you're you're suggesting certain things that you haven't even told her about going back to the continuous c consent. Continuous consent. Even if even if she's and you know, whatever, you know, and and like I said, I I wanna put kind put a butt on it, but I I would but I'm not still on drugs. She's drunk. She's done you know, like how do you but one of the things that we we're in college, I played football in college. One of the things that they had us they talk to us about was that you can't I think in the state of North Carolina it's probably multiple states too. You can't consent to shit under the influence. No. Yes. Period. Yes. So I think it's just super important if, you know, you meet somebody for the first time and things, you know, happen, whatever like You got that patience. It goes into that patience part because things might be hot and heavy, but you got to understand that like you can't consent to certain things if you're under the influence. So the protect yourself even on some selfish shit. If you don't know somebody and it's not something you've talked about things sober, then you kind of do a thing and it's not the continuous stuff. Like waiting, waiting is saved a lot of people, you know, on either side their safety and their and it and it causes for like a way better experience. interpersonal experience when you have that connection. To me it just goes down to like like I said, it's a respect thing. And yeah, yeah. And to not have that, I think is what created this like awful, awful experience for this young lady. And ⁓ also for these young men who are being really, really who just are really, really fucking stupid and did something really, really fucking dumb because they thought it was cool and it was like, you know what I mean? Like it just And it just it's destroying lives, but you made choices. You make shitty, dumb choices, and you deserve to, you know, receive the consequences for those choices that you made. Yeah. I mean this the whole the whole school thing too is interesting. Whatever. We'll see how the how it plays out. I would love to get more detail once we fully know every single detail, but I wanted to premise on the consent conversation because that's like constant. Yeah. And that's a ever going thing that we have to like be mindful of. But all right. ⁓ Let's get into so I dated. And we kinda went along on some things. So let's get into so I dated. Every episode, So I Dated. ⁓ listeners submit questions, comments, concerns, things that they need help with, stories. And Torrance and I do our very, very best to solve these problems. Torrance, we have a couple of of these, I think. Let's let's get into let's get into the first one. Let's do it. Let's do it. ⁓ so the first one reads: So I dated someone who absolutely had Who had absolutely no relationship with their family. No holidays, no phone calls, nothing. When I asked about it, they basically said their family wasn't good for them and cutting them off was the healthiest decision they'd ever made. I respected that, but family is huge to me. I always imagine holidays with both sides, grandparents around our future kids, family trips, all of that. Could you build a life with someone who wanted absolutely no relationship with their family? Depends on the family. Some families be mid. Some families be kind of mid. Some families are horrible. My family s my family slaps. So sorry, Bubba. ⁓ but yeah, some people do yeah, some people grew up in really traumatic situations. So like family going home isn't vacations, it isn't relaxing. It's a chore. It's ⁓ you know, you're getting ridiculed, especially if you live like an alternative lifestyle or some shit like that. So dangerous. I can and then sometimes your choose your chosen family, especially as you get older. That's it. I'm still close to my family, so it it's kind of two in the same. But like my friends who I call my brothers that be now, you know. From high school, college, mainly college now that I keep a daily contact with, these guys know just as much or more about me than anybody in the world, you know. So it's like you and others. So it's like ⁓ family can also be really chosen and I can trust people with my life just as much as my blood at times, because you know, it's that's the level of care and love and experiences you have with somebody. And as you get older, you realize like shit, eighteen years of under my parents' roof is starting to eclipse You know, the time with other grown up of friends. Like, damn, it's damn you've been the same amount of time. It's kind of fucking crazy. Yeah, I I think having this idea again, having the idea of how you want your life to go is does you no service. ⁓ especially when you're combining it with someone else's life. ⁓ being like, ⁓ I wanted you know, family trips with both sides of the family, like, sure, but this person's family is toxic. This person's family is this, they are this, they are whatever. So ⁓ that's not that big of a deal to me. I think that you do need to have some type of community though. Right. If it is not family, it has to be that chosen family ⁓ that exists. And again, being queer, there is a lot of people that I know who's family do not love them, do not support them, do not reach out to them. They may love them to some capacity, but they don't love all of them. Right, right, right. You know what I mean? From a distance. From a distance. And that can be ⁓ Exhausting. At minimum. At minimum exhausting. At minimum. And it's it's it's this disheartening. It destroys you a little bit ⁓ to know that part of you is not loved. And so you go where you find love. And so ⁓ while you have this idea of how things are gonna go, ⁓ sometimes you gotta throw that fucking idea out the window because it's a stupid one. Especially when you're dealing with someone else's experiences and you can't control what other people do. You gotta Again, people forget that you can create the world that you want to create with your partner. Yeah. And that's what I think you should definitely be doing. Cause this is that's that's a f family shit. I'm big on family. My family's great. We have a bitching time. We're always doing something crazy. We're always having a good time. But not everyone has that luxury and that is unfortunate and it's and it's frustrating. But ⁓ like Danny said, like, you know, he's one of my closest people in this world. ⁓ on top of others and it's just like we are family as well. Right. So Yeah, we've had some good Thanksgivings and shit here, you know, and Christmases and stuff. Every holida almost every holiday, Easter is like we yeah we've cooked, we try like we've traveled, we've done like life with people who are like, No, I see you, all of you, and you're just the same. And not everybody has that. And when you have that and you know what that what it looks like, you lean into those people. And you the it's funny 'cause like Sometimes you meet people in these transformative time parts of your life. You know, college and marriages and divorces and stuff. And sometimes you tell your friends things more than you would tell your parents or you know, like ⁓ a hundred percent. Yes. And you you know, you and maybe your siblings know things that your friends don't know and vice versa. You what I'm saying? But like sometimes I'm close to my siblings and we talk about a good amount of stuff. Especially when we're in person. We g you know, and we like get to catch up, catch up. You know, we always get pretty deep ⁓ and whatnot. But like, yeah, sometimes your friends, niggas you're with every single day, get a certain side of you. You know, like I f I feel like y'all probably saw different sides of me in a real specific way when I was going through my divorce, 'cause y'all were here, you know, in person. My family, you know, I was talking to my family all the time, but they weren't here in person. To experience what that was Yeah, in real time physically. And like and having been around us and, you know, all these kind of things and and other things. You know, whatever. Different jobs I've had or different Me producing specials. Like y'all are there on the ground, you know, seeing Miko's with the stresses and the edits and the fucking cuts and all this kind of stuff and location scouting. It's like you're seeing the day to day s things in a certain way, whereas like I might be telling my mom or my brother or my si my sisters about about certain shit. So, you know, I think sometimes that chosen family in a in a certain way, going back to fucking Nathan from Insecure, sometimes that chosen family, you can do a lot of important life things with those people too, except for get ⁓ pregnant. That shit pisses me off. It kind of pisses me off a little bit. I can tell. It's if you ain't let it go yet. It's ⁓ because he's he's taking a page out of my book. He's taking a page out of my that was me. He stole my whole flow. My whole flow. The it the un the the emotionally unavailable, overcommunicative nigga? Come on, bro. That's me. Far from That's my whole that's my whole sauce. That's fine. I'm not available, but let's Let me let me let me see you. Let's go on dates. What's the next one? Okay. The next one reads, What do you think about the trend on social of a woman's guy friends telling her why she's single? Huh? ⁓ yeah. So I've seen ⁓ it essentially on on social media, it'll be a cute chick and she's like, I'm single, I'm 35, single, whatever, and I'm tired of dating apps. So I wanna I wanna pass a phone to my friend. ⁓ and it eats clip up. random shit. Yeah, like why why she's great or why she's cool with it. And they just be running running all this shit off. I think a lot of them friends be trying to crack. So they be like, yeah, she's amazing. She got a fat ass I mean she's cool. She's smart. Big ass tit I mean big ass bank account. ⁓ big big career. I I I think it's a I don't know. I think it's a interesting trend of like cause I think it cause I'm cause the ones that I've seen have been like your friends are telling you your worst attributes and you're posting it online. It's like telling it's like your friends telling you your biggest red flags. You controlling, you don't really like people, like you don't know how you don't know what love is. And it's just like, God damn, like what the fuck? Like to me it's like, all right, like go to therapy. Have the have this meeting inside. Every not everything needs to be posted online. In my opinion, that's fact. But cause it's like, if I see that, if I see, if if I see the nigga that I'm interested in and his friends went around and did a whole list of all the the red flags this motherfucker has, it might turn me the fuck off. What about ⁓ what if they say the only the positives? Like this is the positives. Sometimes homegirls be setting you up for failure. Like, ⁓ she's so cool. She chill. But she's not cool and chill. She actually loves. She's crazy and hot. She's attractive and nutty. Yeah, what do you mean? No, she chill. She cool. She don't be doing nothing. No, she's No, she does everything. She's actually the opposite of chill. Yeah. She's never actually she doesn't know what chill is. She's kind of tough to be around with it sometimes. Yeah, she's actually very loud. All the time. No, I promise. I promise. She's cool. No. She's pissed. She's mean to me. She's she actually called me a bitch. She calls me a bitch all the time. And I didn't even do nothing. Yeah. I left I left a fucking spoon in the sand. She doesn't like me that much. Yeah, she nah she likes you. She just she don't like that. She just she just she cool though. Like, shut She just reminded you her daddy. Her daddy was such a good dad. No, he's cheated on her mama too. If someone is saying, again, I'll say this. If someone is going on there and they're saying positive things about somebody, it's like, ⁓ that's nice. You're getting a fr- I like that. Like you don't got don't tell me the worst to you. I'll figure that out. Yeah. In time. I'll figure that out. But I also like if y if I'm hearing the good things about somebody, I'm okay. That's nice. That people are saying nice things. I don't trust I just don't trust women to hook me up with other women. I can 'cause I feel like we just have we all have like goggles, friend goggles. We do. Some of them Shorties good lot of shortties friend goggles where I'm like, your friend is I don't know if your friend is as cool as you think they are. And that's sounds really bad coming from me, but it's the truth. Yeah. Blind date. I've never, I've almost never been suggested a blind date and been like, yeah, I need to follow up with that. I need it. Actually, thank you. I need to see about your friend. You how many blind dates you've been on blind dates? No. ⁓ okay because because they're always bad. Okay, okay, okay, okay. ⁓ I got a friend, she's cool. You know what I'm saying? It's like I you know what? No one has ever done that for me. No one has ever said like well actually no, I'm gonna lie. I'm gonna try to kill people. Shut the fuck up. There are people who have done that before, but they also do it to be like, ⁓ I know, I know a gay. Here, look at them. They gay too. ⁓ yeah, you said that yeah. You interested? No, what the fuck? No. Yeah, I don't know. It's nasty work. Leave me alone. ⁓ yeah I don't know. I mean look, your friends don't know shit about you when it comes to dating. So just put be cool. And don't use your friends as references because they they're they're tainted. They've never they've never been on the first date with you. ⁓ all right. Let's get into the close this bitch out. Let's get into toxic takes. Toxic takes is something that we've curated that's really changed my life. Okay. And and y'all's and y'all's apparently. Okay. Torrance's oxytake last week about nails, phenomenal. The boys. The boys. The girls. Everyone's bad. I've also got a handful of gay followers, fellas. Stop. I don't like boys. That happened, ⁓ yeah. I got about four or five niggas. I'm like, Mr. You know, Mr. It was like Mr. Zesty 16. I was like, brother, please chill. I like coochie. ⁓ yeah. I'm out the streets too. But it's funny. If I you know. It's fine. When I all the little but yeah. But Shorty's following you is different. Shorty's following you is like, okay, sis. The fuck? The niggas following me is like respect. Respect. It can be respect. It could be respect. And nobody's it's only been one nigga that's tried me or my brother, you gotta relax. And that's what I'm saying. Like I think I think that's also a misconception is that like all the gays just follow you and then like not you but like just follow people to be like and ⁓ No, mostly ninety nine percent of the gay homies actually are funny. Super funny, cool, chill. It just it's I just don't want them to be disappointed. Like I'm not the nigga with the the nails. Yes. Yeah. I'm just the cool. I don't I don't think that they have that misunderstanding. So like, hey, he looks nice. I'm gonna follow him. Yeah, pull up to the shows, buy a ticket, nigga. Hell yeah. We'll talk about I'll talk about being an ally. Anyways, my toxic take for this week. My toxic take for this week is that you ever date somebody, see somebody? Y'all break up. The next nigga you see them with, next person you see them with, it's like, ugh, that they're so ugly and we're looking that I respect what we had. I'm sorry. Sorry. They're so ugly and we're looking that I disown what we have. ⁓ yes. I don't respect what we had. Yeah. Because that guy looks like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, and I look like me. That guy looks like Luther Vandross. And I look like me. That nigga got silver caps in his mouth. Silver caps. He looks like a fucking He choose chalk and crazy. One of the Martians from from ⁓ Men in Black. Yeah. With a low low body, low thick body. Yeah. No shoulders. And I and I look like me. And I look like me. So So now, in retrospect, I'm trying to figure out how did we get together? How did we how did that happen? And what was I thinking? As a man. As a as a man. entering into I have I have had that experience happen where I was like damn hit that was next yeah god damn and it's like why was I putting in the F like why was I putting in the effort to be like yeah this is somebody I should enter 'cause it if that's the next nigga, he don't have a shape up really. That's the next guy is that guy? I mean, I hope he's rich. Maybe he's way has way more bread than me and he he owns a fucking airplane. And people make people happy and sometimes And I did make you happy. Sometimes clearly. And sometimes and sometimes ugly to me, ugly people make people happy. ⁓ yeah. And that's and that's what For sure, for sure. I think that's what Yeah, for sure, for sure. Yeah, yeah. So I think ⁓ you know, best of luck, but now I'm qu I'm like I'm questioning my home, my own body. Like, hold on, what was I? Yeah, was the w I was I like a certain kind of like ⁓ yeah Danny cool. Yeah. Cause it gets it I get in my mind and my head and I'm like, damn, I'm the best thing you ever fucking had. And that's how I think, right? And I think that's a Leo thing, and I apologize. I was an outlier in the I wasn't I wasn't the mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was a outlier. Yeah, I was I was that I was the one that broke the average that now everybody Yeah, yeah, like you know everybody I the curve. I was the curve. Yeah, I said the curve and I'm like, I'm so sorry, y'all. The dick curve I don't like that. I don't like that. Yeah. I need to be a I need to be amongst cool, cool nigga, cool looking niggas. Anyways, thank y'all for listening to this. Yes. This beautiful ⁓ podcast. Look, ⁓ also, I mean this is probably too late to say, but ⁓ watch this on YouTube. Yeah. We're starting like we're starting to get a little bit momentum on YouTube. I've been showing the people the ⁓ sending people the the YouTube link and people been like, ⁓ Yeah, pull up. It's visual, that's tight type shit. Yeah. Just look good. Look at us talk shit. Anyways, we love y'all so much. I'm about to go to the beach later and fucking frolic. Bake. He's gonna bake. He's actually going to the beach later, he's going to fry. Type shit. and as you can see, black crispy crispy. Black is the pit. Also, ⁓ next week we'll probably be recording live from North Carolina. Homecoming. Homecoming, talking that shit. So we'll probably be really intoxicated, probably be really fun. Last I wish we did I wish we still had that. ⁓ recording of the last time we recorded at homecoming because we would probably cook. It was like twenty minutes. Twenty minutes of of heat. I gotta find that somewhere maybe. Probably doesn't exist anymore. Maybe Kyle has it. Maybe Kyle Kyle got he can. Anyways, thank y'all so much. Love you.
