Sergio Da Silva is the kind of Montréal figure who doesn’t just own a venue — he embodies a city. Musician, entrepreneur, and co-founder of Turbo Haüs and Café Big Trouble, Sergio has spent over 25 years fighting for the soul of Montréal’s nightlife. His venues are more than bars : they’re refuges for underground bands, creative misfits, and everyone who still believes that art and noise are the heartbeat of a city.In this episode, we talk about what it really means to keep a cultural space alive when bureaucracy, noise complaints, and rising rents are closing in. About being rooted in your neighbourhood, standing your ground, and refusing to let the city’s pulse go silent.Between stories of music, resilience, and politics — Sergio opens up about why he’s stepping into public life, running for office to defend the artists, the dreamers, and the small businesses that make Montréal what it is.A conversation about belonging, resistance, and the courage to stay loud.
