Ten years on from the Brexit referendum, we're exploring how Brexit reshaped not only the UK, but the European Union itself. In the fourth session of our ‘Resetting the UK/EU Relationship’ series, our Director, Ben Mallon, was joined by Sören Haar, Managing Partner at the European Affairs Consulting Group (EACON) in Brussels.Having spent much of his career working at the heart of EU policymaking and advising organisations on European affairs, Sören brings a unique European perspective on Brexit's impact and the future of UK-EU relations.Together, Ben and Sören explored how the UK's departure reshaped politics within the EU, why Brexit strengthened solidarity among member states, reduced the appeal of Euroscepticism, and reinforced the EU's rules-based approach to governance. They discussed the future of UK-EU relations, including the role of the Windsor Framework and the opportunities for a more pragmatic partnership between Brussels and London in the years ahead. As the UK and EU continue to redefine their relationship, this session will help businesses and corporate affairs teams better understand the political, regulatory and economic factors shaping future cooperation between London and Brussels.
