This episode starts with a public service announcement from every flight attendant on earth: if you see the lavatory flush button, please push it. Shawn and G kick things off with a very real, very gross airplane bathroom rant that every crew member and frequent flyer will understand immediately. Somehow, that turns into remote-control flushing, Ally McBeal, and a lavatory invention that probably should never be trusted to two flight attendants sitting on a jumpseat.
From there, the guys get into the strange chaos of “light flights.” You would think fewer passengers means an easier day, but apparently it just means people start treating the airplane like open seating at a school bus convention. Dogs come out of carriers, bags go everywhere, passengers want to move up to Economy Plus, and suddenly the flight that should have been simple turns into a full customer-service workout.
Then the travel advice gets real. Shawn and G talk about passengers coming over from canceled flights, last-minute tickets, low-cost carrier risks, and why booking a flight the same day as your cruise is one of the boldest vacation decisions you can make. They also break down the difference between asking a crew member for help the right way and coming onboard already mad at the wrong people.
The episode also gets into one of the hardest parts of the job: de-escalation. From entitled passengers to the guy who boards already looking for a fight, Shawn and G explain how flight attendants have to keep their cool even when someone is clearly trying to push every button. Thankfully, the chaos gets balanced out with crew coffee confusion, an elderly passenger asking for help with free Wi-Fi, and the kind of stories that remind you people are still funny even when travel is a mess.
And because this is Cabin Pressure, the airline talk somehow turns into Shawn transplanting a tree, breaking a sprinkler line, standing over a muddy hole questioning every life choice, and G enjoying the whole thing a little too much.
Finally, the guys go around the globe with turbulence diversions, a lithium battery evacuation video that proves passengers need training too, a man holding an alligator like a baby, a painful national anthem moment, and a mesmerizing iceberg flip that sends them briefly into science mode.

00:00:01.040 --> 00:00:13.519
On behalf of every crew member and every person on the plane, if you see a little sign that says flush and there's a little down arrow, pushed a button.
00:00:24.559 --> 00:00:26.559
Hey man, brother, are you kidding me?
00:00:26.719 --> 00:00:27.679
I am so tired.
00:00:27.760 --> 00:00:31.359
Every single time I walk into the freaking lavatory, right?
00:00:31.760 --> 00:00:34.560
Someone they they They left a present for you?
00:00:34.719 --> 00:00:36.399
They leave the yeah, an unwanted present.
00:00:36.479 --> 00:00:36.719
Yeah.
00:00:36.960 --> 00:00:37.520
Unwanted.
00:00:37.679 --> 00:00:38.240
Yeah.
00:00:38.479 --> 00:00:42.320
Is it is it you either get a big big chocolate tissue roll.
00:00:42.640 --> 00:00:44.320
Don't even want to talk about flights.
00:00:44.399 --> 00:00:46.880
Yeah, but you you know, we do the South American flights.
00:00:46.960 --> 00:00:47.359
Right.
00:00:47.679 --> 00:00:51.200
They can't find the damn, they can't find the freaking uh receptacle either.
00:00:51.439 --> 00:00:54.399
And here's the thing we like we have Spanish.
00:00:54.719 --> 00:01:01.280
There's like all the signs and all the packards on our plane here in America are in Spanish or it's in English, right?
00:01:01.439 --> 00:01:01.759
Yeah.
00:01:01.920 --> 00:01:02.560
Yeah.
00:01:02.799 --> 00:01:03.600
I don't get it.
00:01:04.319 --> 00:01:04.879
Push the button.
00:01:05.040 --> 00:01:05.840
Push the damn button.
00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:06.799
Push the A button.
00:01:07.120 --> 00:01:08.000
Nobody's gonna get mad.
00:01:08.319 --> 00:01:08.719
Do whatever.
00:01:08.879 --> 00:01:09.920
They push the call button.
00:01:10.159 --> 00:01:11.280
Kick something.
00:01:13.680 --> 00:01:14.879
It is so gross.
00:01:15.040 --> 00:01:15.680
Yeah, it is gross.
00:01:15.920 --> 00:01:17.040
I hate walking in on that.
00:01:17.760 --> 00:01:21.439
Are you um um do you remember what was that show?
00:01:21.760 --> 00:01:22.959
Oh my gosh.
00:01:23.200 --> 00:01:26.799
I can't there was a show, uh, lawyer show.
00:01:27.280 --> 00:01:28.640
Uh what the heck is that show?
00:01:28.719 --> 00:01:30.319
It was the girl, Allie McBeal.
00:01:30.480 --> 00:01:30.799
Yeah.
00:01:30.959 --> 00:01:31.599
I remember that one.
00:01:31.680 --> 00:01:31.760
Yeah.
00:01:32.239 --> 00:01:34.000
Remember that dude and Alec McBeal?
00:01:34.079 --> 00:01:39.920
There was a lawyer, and every time he went into the thing, he had like a little remote control flush thing because he always wanted a fresh toilet.
00:01:40.079 --> 00:01:42.799
No, I I didn't actually see the show.
00:01:43.120 --> 00:01:44.400
I remember the show, but I don't remember.
00:01:45.120 --> 00:01:46.719
I was like, that shit's a genius.
00:01:46.879 --> 00:01:48.319
I wish I could like boom.
00:01:48.480 --> 00:01:50.079
You could have one of those from the jump seat.
00:01:50.239 --> 00:01:50.480
Yeah.
00:01:50.560 --> 00:01:50.799
Right.
00:01:50.959 --> 00:01:51.200
Boom.
00:01:51.519 --> 00:01:51.680
Yeah.
00:01:52.000 --> 00:01:53.280
Excuse me, how do we flush it?
00:01:53.359 --> 00:01:53.840
Oh, no problem.
00:01:54.000 --> 00:01:58.560
As we walks, as we see somebody walking out the door into their seats and leave the door open.
00:01:58.799 --> 00:02:00.079
Yeah, we could hit the flush button.
00:02:00.239 --> 00:02:00.799
Yeah, we can go.
00:02:00.959 --> 00:02:02.640
Oh, we'd have a shitload of fun with that.
00:02:02.719 --> 00:02:04.879
Could you imagine sitting on the jump seat and they're on the toilet?
00:02:05.040 --> 00:02:06.959
And push it when they just push it.
00:02:08.479 --> 00:02:09.919
It's like a pre-flush.
00:02:10.080 --> 00:02:10.400
Exactly.
00:02:10.639 --> 00:02:13.120
Son of a whoa! What the hell?
00:02:13.280 --> 00:02:14.479
What's wrong with this thing?
00:02:14.800 --> 00:02:17.039
Some of those, some of the planes are like super sucked.
00:02:17.280 --> 00:02:17.439
I know.
00:02:20.960 --> 00:02:22.400
Junk would be like, whoa.
00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:24.560
I did not.
00:02:25.680 --> 00:02:27.520
I just got a flush job.
00:02:28.719 --> 00:02:29.520
Excuse me.
00:02:29.680 --> 00:02:30.639
Can you do that again?
00:02:32.479 --> 00:02:35.280
I don't know who did that, but can you push the button again?
00:02:35.759 --> 00:02:36.960
All from leaving a page.
00:02:37.120 --> 00:02:38.719
I haven't been tugged like that in years.
00:02:38.960 --> 00:02:40.240
It's horrible.
00:02:40.800 --> 00:02:42.159
Man, you're killing me.
00:02:42.319 --> 00:02:43.520
You're killing me, man.
00:02:43.680 --> 00:02:44.319
Anyways.
00:02:44.639 --> 00:02:47.199
This week the weather has been crazy down in Florida.
00:02:47.280 --> 00:02:47.439
Yeah.
00:02:47.599 --> 00:02:53.439
I know you've been doing you've been doing your international stuff, but the Florida weather, has Carol going to tell you about the weather down there?
00:02:53.520 --> 00:02:53.840
Yeah.
00:02:54.159 --> 00:02:54.639
Crazy.
00:02:54.800 --> 00:02:55.039
Yeah.
00:02:55.280 --> 00:02:57.520
I mean, I mean, but this is the time, right?
00:02:57.680 --> 00:02:57.919
I know.
00:02:58.000 --> 00:02:59.039
It's coast to coast, though.
00:02:59.120 --> 00:03:00.639
It's every freaking day.
00:03:00.879 --> 00:03:01.199
I know.
00:03:01.439 --> 00:03:02.560
It's tiring.
00:03:02.800 --> 00:03:03.759
This is tiring.
00:03:03.919 --> 00:03:07.599
Yeah, but you know, you get those flights, you get the light one, right?
00:03:07.759 --> 00:03:08.159
Right.
00:03:08.479 --> 00:03:10.879
And you're thinking, easy.
00:03:11.120 --> 00:03:11.759
Yeah.
00:03:12.080 --> 00:03:13.120
It's gonna be easy, right?
00:03:13.199 --> 00:03:13.280
Yeah.
00:03:13.919 --> 00:03:14.639
Board is gonna be easy.
00:03:15.360 --> 00:03:18.080
No passengers, you're going down, it's a light load.
00:03:18.400 --> 00:03:19.280
So you get all that turbine?
00:03:19.759 --> 00:03:20.560
No, no, no, no, no.
00:03:20.639 --> 00:03:21.120
Not even that.
00:03:21.280 --> 00:03:24.159
Five minutes into the boarding process, it went to shit.
00:03:24.319 --> 00:03:24.479
Oh.
00:03:24.719 --> 00:03:25.199
Why?
00:03:25.439 --> 00:03:26.240
Because the people.
00:03:26.400 --> 00:03:26.639
Oh.
00:03:27.199 --> 00:03:33.439
Because the you get these people, then all of a sudden it's like there's there's 30 or 40 people on there.
00:03:33.599 --> 00:03:36.479
And first thing they say, well, can we move up to the front?
00:03:36.800 --> 00:03:41.280
Oh, so you're telling me, so like the you're let's complete this story here you're talking about.
00:03:41.439 --> 00:03:44.240
You're talking about like other airlines canceling, all of a sudden you have to get away.
00:03:44.319 --> 00:03:47.280
No, no, like we have a light flight, and then oh no.
00:03:47.520 --> 00:03:49.280
No, we have a we had a light flight going down.
00:03:49.360 --> 00:03:49.439
Right.
00:03:49.680 --> 00:03:56.479
What I was saying is that when you have a light flight, right, and in five minutes, there's all those open seats.
00:03:56.719 --> 00:03:58.479
And all the open seats, the very first thing.
00:03:58.879 --> 00:03:59.599
Well, can I move up?
00:03:59.759 --> 00:04:00.719
Yeah, the very first thing.
00:04:00.800 --> 00:04:00.960
Yeah.
00:04:01.120 --> 00:04:02.400
Is first can I move up?
00:04:02.479 --> 00:04:02.800
Yeah.
00:04:02.960 --> 00:04:05.439
Then dogs out of the carrier.
00:04:06.080 --> 00:04:06.719
Yeah.
00:04:07.199 --> 00:04:08.960
Bags of mess in a roast.
00:04:09.199 --> 00:04:10.639
No, this is a light flight.
00:04:10.800 --> 00:04:12.000
There's there's nobody on there.
00:04:12.159 --> 00:04:12.560
Right.
00:04:12.800 --> 00:04:14.240
And it is it goes to shit.
00:04:14.879 --> 00:04:15.840
Their shit gets loose.
00:04:16.079 --> 00:04:16.480
Everything.
00:04:16.720 --> 00:04:16.959
Right.
00:04:17.040 --> 00:04:20.160
Everybody just like everybody like, oh, it's we got room.
00:04:20.240 --> 00:04:22.079
We don't have to be like stuffed in sardines.
00:04:22.160 --> 00:04:23.360
Let's just do whatever we want to do.
00:04:23.519 --> 00:04:27.839
Yeah, and you get into this argument all the time about the economy plus seating on an aircraft.
00:04:27.920 --> 00:04:28.240
Yeah.
00:04:28.480 --> 00:04:32.079
And you know, when people are they don't understand, well, why can't we sit up there?
00:04:32.160 --> 00:04:36.800
And I'm like, well, you picked that seat, and they're like, that's that doesn't make any sense that seat is open.
00:04:37.040 --> 00:04:43.120
Can you imagine like, okay, so we our airline that we work for, we have like different classes of seats, right?
00:04:43.439 --> 00:04:43.680
Okay.
00:04:44.240 --> 00:04:46.800
And then not every airline out there does, right?
00:04:46.959 --> 00:04:47.279
Right.
00:04:47.439 --> 00:04:51.519
We know that there's but we have never worked for an airline that didn't.
00:04:51.759 --> 00:04:52.160
No, yeah.
00:04:52.399 --> 00:04:54.240
We wouldn't have where we wouldn't have to do this shit.
00:04:54.399 --> 00:04:55.040
Right.
00:04:55.360 --> 00:04:59.279
Dogs are out of the carrier, the the freaking rows are a mess.
00:04:59.439 --> 00:04:59.680
Right.
00:04:59.839 --> 00:05:01.360
And everybody wants to move forward.
00:05:01.519 --> 00:05:02.480
We have this all the time.
00:05:02.560 --> 00:05:02.720
Right.
00:05:02.879 --> 00:05:07.040
So it takes a simple fight, a simple fight all of a sudden becomes a big pain in the ass.
00:05:07.279 --> 00:05:07.839
Oh, yeah.
00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:08.319
Yeah.
00:05:08.560 --> 00:05:16.079
I mean, for us, the carrier that has the different classes, and then everybody wants to like jump classes just because it's empty.
00:05:16.240 --> 00:05:17.680
Like, this is not a school bus.
00:05:17.839 --> 00:05:18.000
No.
00:05:18.160 --> 00:05:21.199
This is not like open, this is not public transportation.
00:05:21.279 --> 00:05:23.120
You just like go to any seat you want.
00:05:23.279 --> 00:05:24.959
This is assigned seating.
00:05:25.120 --> 00:05:28.639
I mean, even the lower cost carriers are going to assign seating now, right?
00:05:28.800 --> 00:05:29.040
Yeah.
00:05:29.199 --> 00:05:36.160
Like, so it's like this is uh industry-wide, you go, you pay for a seat, this is the seat you get.
00:05:36.240 --> 00:05:36.319
Right.
00:05:36.480 --> 00:05:36.560
Yeah.
00:05:36.720 --> 00:05:37.120
Don't expect it.
00:05:37.199 --> 00:05:44.959
Well, you don't go, you don't go to a basketball game, a baseball game, you pay, you know, six dollars for the nosebleed section, and you go sit in the club.
00:05:45.199 --> 00:05:46.399
Oh, yeah, they do.
00:05:49.120 --> 00:05:53.519
To to bring that point up, so just this last weekend, I went to a concert.
00:05:53.680 --> 00:05:54.879
We went to train, right?
00:05:54.959 --> 00:05:55.279
Yeah.
00:05:55.519 --> 00:05:59.519
And it was, we had a lightning delay at a concert.
00:05:59.600 --> 00:06:01.680
So I was like, this is just like the airlines, right?
00:06:01.759 --> 00:06:02.000
Yeah.
00:06:02.160 --> 00:06:03.519
And so we had a lightning delay.
00:06:03.600 --> 00:06:05.279
And so they started the concert late.
00:06:05.519 --> 00:06:10.319
So Matt Nathson, that was supposed to open up for him, he got axed.
00:06:10.639 --> 00:06:11.360
Couldn't play.
00:06:11.519 --> 00:06:11.839
Okay.
00:06:12.160 --> 00:06:13.680
So then it's boring rain.
00:06:13.759 --> 00:06:18.959
I'm talking like people had like umbrellas, they had ponchos, all this stuff, but they were doing exactly what you're saying.
00:06:19.120 --> 00:06:22.240
They were sneaking in, trying to get any open seat they can.
00:06:22.319 --> 00:06:22.639
Right.
00:06:22.800 --> 00:06:28.160
And they weren't even sly about it because the people coming in in wet ponchos, yeah.
00:06:28.480 --> 00:06:34.319
Sitting with all the people under the overhang with the dry ponchos kind of stuck out.
00:06:35.439 --> 00:06:38.319
Try to do that, try to do that in the NBA game.
00:06:39.279 --> 00:06:41.759
Try to try to go on the court seat on the NBA.
00:06:42.319 --> 00:06:42.720
People do that.
00:06:42.959 --> 00:06:44.800
I know they try to do it, but it doesn't work.
00:06:45.439 --> 00:06:46.560
They upgrade the seat.
00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:52.879
Might not that like that, like not to like front row court side, but they do like in the stands and stuff.
00:06:52.959 --> 00:06:57.439
Like, I know they see they see an open seat, yeah, and they go down there and they they go sitting there.
00:06:57.600 --> 00:06:59.839
But you know, on a plane it's easier, we catch them.
00:06:59.920 --> 00:07:00.160
Right.
00:07:00.319 --> 00:07:03.360
And then we boot them out because you don't pay for it.
00:07:03.519 --> 00:07:03.759
Right.
00:07:04.000 --> 00:07:06.319
But you see a lot of passengers that that get pissed off.
00:07:06.399 --> 00:07:08.399
This it's not fair to the people that are paying.
00:07:08.720 --> 00:07:09.199
No, it's not.
00:07:09.360 --> 00:07:19.600
But this week we had um we had flights to where we had we had uh seating available and the other airlines canceled.
00:07:19.759 --> 00:07:20.160
Right.
00:07:20.399 --> 00:07:29.120
So you know how they either buy tickets on us, they dump them all on us, well either get dumped on us, right, or they have to purchase the seating on us.
00:07:29.439 --> 00:07:35.920
If they want to get to the point, I mean that's that's kind of like the risk that you take when you're flying a low-cost carrier, right?
00:07:36.079 --> 00:07:36.240
Right.
00:07:36.480 --> 00:07:52.959
I mean, so like as a major airline that we are on, right, we have the infrastructure if we cancel, we can get new planes, we can get another other crews, we have like there's ways to replace it and fix it to be able to for them to still have that flight, right?
00:07:53.040 --> 00:08:00.160
Yeah, whereas other airlines that are low cost, if it cancels or it has a mechanical or whatever, you're just shit out of luck.
00:08:00.319 --> 00:08:12.160
Yeah, well, the ship just and then so then last minute, you have to buy those last minute tickets on a major carrier, which are not cheap because the closer it is to that date of time to fly, the more expensive it is, right?
00:08:12.319 --> 00:08:21.040
Now, talking about that, we just dealt with that this week because we had passengers come over, you know, um, been doing Fort Lauderdale, that's a huge cruise line area.
00:08:21.279 --> 00:08:23.680
So these passengers, what'd they do?
00:08:23.839 --> 00:08:26.480
They booked the same day as the cruise.
00:08:27.199 --> 00:08:32.399
Dumbest, that that has got to be the dumbest thing that that you could possibly do.
00:08:32.639 --> 00:08:33.919
I I don't get it, man.
00:08:34.240 --> 00:08:39.360
I mean, I I could so if you buy the insurance for the cruise, right?
00:08:40.159 --> 00:08:43.360
Still, though, I mean and then you book the same day, okay.
00:08:43.440 --> 00:08:48.799
At least you have protection, you know, because if something goes wrong, I have insurance, okay.
00:08:49.120 --> 00:08:52.240
But you've been waiting how long to go on the damn vacation.
00:08:52.480 --> 00:08:52.639
Right.
00:08:52.799 --> 00:08:55.759
And because you didn't go down the day before and stay in the hotel.
00:08:55.919 --> 00:08:56.320
Yeah.
00:08:56.559 --> 00:09:00.240
So anyway, they they but they moved them over to ours.
00:09:00.399 --> 00:09:00.639
Right.
00:09:00.799 --> 00:09:02.639
Then what they do.
00:09:02.799 --> 00:09:08.000
Yeah, well, she this these two were like, oh yeah, thanks to your airline, you cost us sixteen hundred dollars.
00:09:08.080 --> 00:09:10.639
I'm like, well, how'd how we cost you sixteen hundred?
00:09:10.799 --> 00:09:15.679
She said, Well, our our flight canceled and we had to buy tickets on your airline.
00:09:15.919 --> 00:09:17.039
That ain't our fault.
00:09:18.559 --> 00:09:20.480
Wait, am I missing something?
00:09:20.960 --> 00:09:22.399
So you picked the wrong one.
00:09:22.720 --> 00:09:24.480
She or he is missing something for sure.
00:09:24.799 --> 00:09:26.960
But you picked that's why I'm missing sixteen hundred dollars.
00:09:27.279 --> 00:09:33.200
I said you picked the wrong one, and then you were going down the day of your cruise.
00:09:33.360 --> 00:09:33.600
Right.
00:09:33.759 --> 00:09:35.039
You're like, oh, for two.
00:09:35.360 --> 00:09:35.679
Yeah.
00:09:36.000 --> 00:09:36.799
Makes no sense.
00:09:37.039 --> 00:09:39.039
Hey, stupid is and stupid does.
00:09:39.200 --> 00:09:39.440
Yeah.
00:09:39.600 --> 00:09:40.559
Then you had family.
00:09:40.720 --> 00:09:41.519
Family come on.
00:09:41.679 --> 00:09:44.080
Now, this is completely ridiculous.
00:09:44.320 --> 00:09:44.799
Right.
00:09:45.039 --> 00:09:48.080
They come on, they're not in the seats.
00:09:48.399 --> 00:09:52.320
They, they, um, uh they were on the other flight too.
00:09:52.480 --> 00:09:52.799
Okay.
00:09:53.279 --> 00:09:55.440
So they're not sitting seating together.
00:09:55.600 --> 00:09:56.159
Oh, okay.
00:09:56.320 --> 00:09:59.519
So she starts effing this and effing that about the airline.
00:09:59.679 --> 00:10:02.000
I'm like, why are you effing this or effing that about the airline?
00:10:02.320 --> 00:10:02.480
Right.
00:10:02.639 --> 00:10:04.399
You're taking whatever.
00:10:04.960 --> 00:10:05.919
Well, at first I didn't know.
00:10:06.000 --> 00:10:08.480
I was like, okay, well, why are you doing this?
00:10:08.559 --> 00:10:11.759
And she goes, Well, we canceled our flight and then we got stuck on here.
00:10:11.840 --> 00:10:13.600
And I'm like, wait a minute, you got stuck on here.
00:10:13.679 --> 00:10:14.960
You didn't get stuck on here.
00:10:15.120 --> 00:10:18.080
They they put you over here to get you to where you need to go.
00:10:18.399 --> 00:10:20.000
And we're trying to get you there.
00:10:20.159 --> 00:10:24.240
Well, what happened was her parents weren't sitting with her.
00:10:24.399 --> 00:10:24.879
Right.
00:10:25.120 --> 00:10:26.879
So they had to get moved.
00:10:26.960 --> 00:10:27.840
And and I had to move them.
00:10:28.000 --> 00:10:29.919
I said, and her parents were so nice.
00:10:30.080 --> 00:10:30.240
Right.
00:10:30.480 --> 00:10:31.519
I mean, they were so nice.
00:10:31.759 --> 00:10:32.399
They were elderly.
00:10:32.799 --> 00:10:33.440
It was like a sitter.
00:10:36.399 --> 00:10:38.879
Uh they were an elderly Polynesian couple.
00:10:39.039 --> 00:10:41.919
And I moved them to the to the Economy Plus.
00:10:42.000 --> 00:10:43.519
They had Economy Plus seating.
00:10:43.759 --> 00:10:50.000
Then I asked this guy if he'd move, and he was nice enough to move, and they were sitting right next to each each other.
00:10:50.159 --> 00:10:55.360
I go back there and I and I tell her, I'm like, just want to let you know I took care of your parents, got them together, right?
00:10:55.679 --> 00:11:00.000
Got them snack boxes, they're all set, and they're the nicest people.
00:11:00.399 --> 00:11:01.039
Yeah.
00:11:01.440 --> 00:11:06.080
And I'm just like looking at her and wondering, where'd you come from?
00:11:06.240 --> 00:11:11.759
Why didn't you how they get you did not pay attention.
00:11:12.000 --> 00:11:13.120
You did not pay attention.
00:11:13.279 --> 00:11:14.240
You didn't learn from your parents.
00:11:14.480 --> 00:11:15.600
You didn't learn shit.
00:11:15.840 --> 00:11:20.480
Because they're in the economy plus sitting next to each other with snack boxes, and you're back here with the kids.
00:11:20.879 --> 00:11:26.000
Well, it's a it's that whole approach, you know, like they're the victims, you know?
00:11:26.240 --> 00:11:29.440
It's that whole mentality right now that's in the whole world right now.
00:11:29.600 --> 00:11:34.159
US is like they're the victims and they're they're the ones that should be, you know.
00:11:34.399 --> 00:11:35.919
Oh, oh, woe is me.
00:11:36.080 --> 00:11:37.759
You know, I got screwed.
00:11:38.000 --> 00:11:39.759
Well, no, you didn't get screwed.
00:11:39.919 --> 00:11:40.720
You got saved.
00:11:40.879 --> 00:11:41.200
Yeah.
00:11:41.360 --> 00:11:42.720
We're here saving your ass.
00:11:42.960 --> 00:11:44.960
Yes, and you're and you're not appreciative.
00:11:45.200 --> 00:11:46.480
Not at all, not even a little bit.
00:11:46.639 --> 00:11:46.799
Yeah.
00:11:46.879 --> 00:11:48.000
What if we didn't even exist?
00:11:48.080 --> 00:11:49.519
You didn't have any airline to go on.
00:11:49.840 --> 00:11:51.200
Well, then where are you are you?
00:11:51.440 --> 00:11:59.840
You know, like they're they approach it so, oh, thankfully, it should be like you thankfully you should we got a ticket on you.
00:12:00.159 --> 00:12:00.480
Great.
00:12:00.639 --> 00:12:04.559
But unfortunately, we got last-minute tickets and we couldn't then have all our tickets are separated.
00:12:04.639 --> 00:12:06.480
Is there any way you can help us to get together?
00:12:06.559 --> 00:12:06.799
Right.
00:12:06.960 --> 00:12:10.879
Like in that that approach is the way that it should be brought to us, right?
00:12:11.679 --> 00:12:19.840
If you want to bring it to the flight attendants of that of any airline that you're coming from a canceled flight, say, hey, listen, this is our situation.
00:12:20.000 --> 00:12:20.720
Can you help us?
00:12:20.879 --> 00:12:21.039
Right.
00:12:21.120 --> 00:12:25.440
And when they get pissed off, but what's the first thing that we do when they get pissed?
00:12:25.600 --> 00:12:25.840
Right.
00:12:26.000 --> 00:12:26.960
We de-escalate.
00:12:27.039 --> 00:12:27.200
Right.
00:12:27.360 --> 00:12:29.679
We try to de-escalate the situation.
00:12:29.840 --> 00:12:32.960
So instead of focusing on her, I focused on the parents.
00:12:33.120 --> 00:12:33.279
Right.
00:12:33.440 --> 00:12:35.679
So you don't want to ever mirror a person's anger.
00:12:36.080 --> 00:12:37.759
Because as soon as you do, what happens?
00:12:38.000 --> 00:12:39.360
Shit, it's fan, right?
00:12:39.600 --> 00:12:40.799
Some I mean it gets it can't be.
00:12:40.960 --> 00:12:41.919
Well, it just escalates, that's right.
00:12:42.000 --> 00:12:42.879
You're not de-escalating.
00:12:43.039 --> 00:12:44.720
I mean, it and it gets it gets heated.
00:12:44.799 --> 00:12:44.960
Right.
00:12:45.120 --> 00:12:49.840
And arguments happen, things happen, and all of a sudden somebody's not going on a vacation.
00:12:50.639 --> 00:12:51.039
Yep.
00:12:51.360 --> 00:12:53.519
So that's one of the biggest things as a flight attendant.
00:12:53.679 --> 00:12:55.519
No, truly, as a flight attendant, right?
00:12:56.080 --> 00:12:58.399
That we don't mirror the anger.
00:12:58.559 --> 00:12:59.039
Right.
00:12:59.360 --> 00:13:03.759
And that is one of the things that that happens quite a bit on the plane.
00:13:03.919 --> 00:13:04.159
Right.
00:13:04.399 --> 00:13:06.320
Because people people get angry.
00:13:06.879 --> 00:13:07.440
Yeah.
00:13:07.679 --> 00:13:09.759
I I I mean, I totally agree.
00:13:10.399 --> 00:13:13.039
So, what's been going on with you, man?
00:13:13.679 --> 00:13:14.639
You angry?
00:13:14.960 --> 00:13:16.159
Am I angry?
00:13:16.399 --> 00:13:18.960
Actually, I was kind of I was a little bit upset this week.
00:13:19.120 --> 00:13:20.240
What's up about by what?
00:13:20.399 --> 00:13:22.879
You ever had a guy get on board or a person?
00:13:22.960 --> 00:13:24.720
Let's say a person, but it was a guy.
00:13:24.799 --> 00:13:29.440
But they get on board, and you already know um they were just looking for a fight.
00:13:30.159 --> 00:13:30.799
Oh yeah.
00:13:31.039 --> 00:13:32.080
You're looking for a fight.
00:13:32.240 --> 00:13:35.600
Yeah, wait, I mean, you you know those type of those characters that come on.
00:13:35.759 --> 00:13:38.399
I know, but I especially they're in a specific area.
00:13:38.960 --> 00:13:41.360
They're a male in a specific age.
00:13:41.759 --> 00:13:41.919
I know.
00:13:42.000 --> 00:13:42.879
I love what I mean.
00:13:43.039 --> 00:13:44.559
Yeah, I love, but I love every day.
00:13:44.639 --> 00:13:45.919
I look forward to every single day.
00:13:46.080 --> 00:13:48.960
Even when I'm flying, I I I have fun when I fly.
00:13:49.039 --> 00:13:49.120
Right.
00:13:49.440 --> 00:13:50.639
You come on and you're pissed.
00:13:50.720 --> 00:13:51.919
And you know why he's pissed?
00:13:52.159 --> 00:13:52.799
Same thing.
00:13:52.960 --> 00:13:57.759
He was on a different airline, they canceled coming back, and they stuck him on our airline.
00:13:58.000 --> 00:13:58.159
Right.
00:13:58.320 --> 00:14:03.519
And he comes in there, and the very first thing, I mean the very first thing, he's looking for a fight.
00:14:03.679 --> 00:14:04.000
Right.
00:14:04.159 --> 00:14:06.080
I could already tell he's looking for a fight.
00:14:06.399 --> 00:14:14.879
And you know, so I'm I'm talking to him, the guy's sitting in the seat, he has his phone sitting in the seat, and his girlfriend has to sit down.
00:14:15.039 --> 00:14:17.360
He's like, get your phone.
00:14:17.759 --> 00:14:20.799
Now it's not asking or anything.
00:14:21.200 --> 00:14:23.279
He's antagonizing the like the other guy.
00:14:23.440 --> 00:14:24.799
Yeah, pick up your damn phone.
00:14:24.960 --> 00:14:25.279
Yeah.
00:14:25.519 --> 00:14:29.440
So now you got to sit next to this person for the next two and a half hours.
00:14:29.600 --> 00:14:29.919
Yeah.
00:14:30.080 --> 00:14:32.399
Now everything, stick his knee out.
00:14:32.559 --> 00:14:33.519
He turns around to me.
00:14:33.679 --> 00:14:37.600
You know how we stand there during the boarding process and we go back to assist.
00:14:37.759 --> 00:14:41.440
He stands there and he goes, You need to get by?
00:14:42.639 --> 00:14:44.240
I'm like, no, I'm good.
00:14:44.720 --> 00:14:46.480
He did you know how they just look at you?
00:14:46.639 --> 00:14:46.879
Yeah, yeah.
00:14:47.039 --> 00:14:48.639
And then they just want you to say something.
00:14:48.720 --> 00:14:49.919
I'm like, I know what you're doing.
00:14:50.080 --> 00:14:51.600
See, this is what you guys don't understand.
00:14:51.759 --> 00:14:53.279
We deal with this sometimes.
00:14:53.840 --> 00:14:55.360
And it's a hardest thing, isn't it, Sean?
00:14:55.600 --> 00:14:56.159
Oh yeah.
00:14:56.480 --> 00:14:59.200
Restrain ourselves from like engaging.
00:14:59.600 --> 00:15:03.360
Do you ever get like, I mean, situations like that, do you get like them goosebumps?
00:15:03.759 --> 00:15:04.480
Sometimes.
00:15:04.799 --> 00:15:06.799
Sometimes I've started like getting jacked.
00:15:06.879 --> 00:15:08.480
Like you feel the adrenaline coming.
00:15:08.639 --> 00:15:08.799
Yeah.
00:15:08.879 --> 00:15:13.679
It's just like it's all of a sudden you start and you're you're thinking, nah, no, no, no, don't do it.
00:15:14.399 --> 00:15:16.639
He's trying, he's trying to do it, just don't do it.
00:15:16.720 --> 00:15:16.879
Right.
00:15:17.039 --> 00:15:19.360
And then you walk away, knees in the aisle.
00:15:19.600 --> 00:15:21.120
This is through the whole flight.
00:15:21.519 --> 00:15:22.159
The whole flight.
00:15:22.240 --> 00:15:23.919
And even at the end of the flight.
00:15:24.240 --> 00:15:26.399
Gets on his phone, starts cursing.
00:15:26.480 --> 00:15:27.919
I turned around off the jump seat.
00:15:28.000 --> 00:15:28.879
I was like, is there a problem?
00:15:28.960 --> 00:15:30.399
And he goes, No, is there a problem with you?
00:15:30.559 --> 00:15:31.919
I'm like, oh, here we go.
00:15:32.080 --> 00:15:33.759
I'm like, no, Gary, don't do it.
00:15:33.840 --> 00:15:35.519
Just just let him go off plane.
00:15:35.679 --> 00:15:36.720
Can't stand that.
00:15:36.799 --> 00:15:39.120
So yeah, I did not have a good flight.
00:15:39.360 --> 00:15:40.720
I was kind of upset about it.
00:15:41.039 --> 00:15:45.120
Well, you can't there, you know, you can't do anything.
00:15:45.279 --> 00:15:45.679
Right.
00:15:45.919 --> 00:15:47.759
You don't want to do anything because it's stupid.
00:15:47.840 --> 00:15:49.039
You already know that they're what they're doing.
00:15:49.200 --> 00:15:52.159
You can't do anything right for them.
00:15:52.399 --> 00:15:57.360
No, yeah, but but you know how how they're they're being like the way they're being.
00:15:57.679 --> 00:16:02.720
And as a guy, it's like the first thing guys want to do is what?
00:16:02.879 --> 00:16:03.279
Fight.
00:16:03.440 --> 00:16:03.759
Yeah.
00:16:03.919 --> 00:16:04.720
That's what they want to do.
00:16:04.879 --> 00:16:08.240
But that's that's that's that you know, young adolescent.
00:16:08.480 --> 00:16:09.120
He wasn't young, Sean.
00:16:09.519 --> 00:16:10.240
Not when he's young.
00:16:10.480 --> 00:16:10.799
He wasn't young.
00:16:10.879 --> 00:16:11.600
He was stupid.
00:16:11.679 --> 00:16:13.120
How old do you think he was?
00:16:13.840 --> 00:16:14.799
Mid-30s.
00:16:14.960 --> 00:16:15.600
That's young.
00:16:15.759 --> 00:16:16.559
That's stupid.
00:16:16.799 --> 00:16:17.919
That's stupid young.
00:16:18.720 --> 00:16:18.960
Stupid.
00:16:19.120 --> 00:16:22.480
Yeah, I mean, like you're you're you're you're old enough to know better.
00:16:22.559 --> 00:16:22.799
Yeah.
00:16:23.039 --> 00:16:24.000
Type of thing, you know.
00:16:24.159 --> 00:16:26.639
Now I'll give you a funny one though, since I want to get off of that.
00:16:26.799 --> 00:16:27.120
Yeah.
00:16:27.679 --> 00:16:31.120
Would have you ever drank out of a crew member's uh cup?
00:16:31.440 --> 00:16:31.759
No.
00:16:33.519 --> 00:16:34.240
I hope not.
00:16:34.399 --> 00:16:36.240
So this one goes out to Monique.
00:16:36.639 --> 00:16:41.519
She was sitting there, she was my coffee was sitting on the countertop.
00:16:41.759 --> 00:16:45.279
And uh and she just picked it up and she drank it, and I was like, how was that?
00:16:45.360 --> 00:16:45.919
She was like, good.
00:16:46.159 --> 00:16:47.519
I'm like, that was mine.
00:16:50.879 --> 00:16:52.399
That look on your face.
00:16:52.720 --> 00:16:54.000
You know that oh no book.
00:16:54.320 --> 00:16:54.799
Oh no.
00:16:54.960 --> 00:16:55.200
Yeah.
00:16:55.440 --> 00:17:07.759
Well, I mean, like, we've been doing this so long, like I every time 99% of my drinks, like, I don't like, I know you do, like, will grab that, you know, have that little cup of coffee in the morning, right?
00:17:08.000 --> 00:17:10.000
Just and use one of our cups, right?
00:17:10.079 --> 00:17:10.480
Yep.
00:17:10.720 --> 00:17:15.920
Whereas, like myself, I put my cup in like a Yeti or something like that, you know.
00:17:16.160 --> 00:17:17.119
A specialty cup.
00:17:17.200 --> 00:17:17.680
Yeah, yeah.
00:17:17.759 --> 00:17:20.640
I bring my own damn cup, so I know nobody's gonna be drinking out of my cup.
00:17:20.720 --> 00:17:20.960
Yeah.
00:17:21.200 --> 00:17:24.319
Monique won't be picking up my damn cup going, oh, this looks like mine here.
00:17:25.279 --> 00:17:27.680
I told her I said, Don't worry, I didn't have any backwash.
00:17:28.960 --> 00:17:29.359
Right.
00:17:29.599 --> 00:17:30.480
It was so funny.
00:17:30.880 --> 00:17:31.759
It's okay, Monique.
00:17:31.839 --> 00:17:32.000
Yeah.
00:17:32.160 --> 00:17:33.119
I only have herpes.
00:17:33.359 --> 00:17:36.319
She was she would say, the sore, it went away.
00:17:36.559 --> 00:17:37.200
Yeah, the sore.
00:17:37.599 --> 00:17:39.440
I don't have sores anymore.
00:17:40.799 --> 00:17:42.799
So I had this, oh my god.
00:17:42.960 --> 00:17:44.640
So I had this elderly man.
00:17:44.720 --> 00:17:48.240
Uh, he rings his his call button and he said, Do we get free Wi-Fi?
00:17:48.319 --> 00:17:50.720
And I said, Yeah, as a card member, you get free Wi-Fi.
00:17:50.880 --> 00:17:51.200
Yeah.
00:17:51.440 --> 00:17:52.400
And he said, Okay.
00:17:52.720 --> 00:17:58.319
He said, Well, I put my he goes, I put my my number in, and I said, Okay, now put your password in.
00:17:58.720 --> 00:18:01.279
He looked at me and goes, Well, what's what's my password?
00:18:01.519 --> 00:18:02.720
What's my password?
00:18:02.880 --> 00:18:04.559
I go, wait a minute.
00:18:04.799 --> 00:18:05.839
What's your password?
00:18:06.000 --> 00:18:07.680
And he goes, Yeah, what's my passport?
00:18:07.759 --> 00:18:07.920
Yeah.
00:18:08.079 --> 00:18:14.720
And and I told him, I said, Well, it's like us standing at the ATM right now, and you got your card in the machine.
00:18:14.960 --> 00:18:16.960
And you're looking at me going, what's my password?
00:18:19.279 --> 00:18:21.119
There's no way it's gonna happen.
00:18:21.519 --> 00:18:23.200
We're not getting free Wi-Fi today.
00:18:23.359 --> 00:18:24.079
Yeah, yeah.
00:18:24.240 --> 00:18:25.200
That was funny.
00:18:25.519 --> 00:18:26.720
So I had two funny ones.
00:18:26.880 --> 00:18:30.400
I had two funny ones make up for it with with the guy that was an ass.
00:18:30.559 --> 00:18:31.200
Yeah.
00:18:31.599 --> 00:18:33.599
People are people are something else, man.
00:18:33.839 --> 00:18:37.039
Yeah, but we don't, I mean, the great thing about it is that we don't get too many of them.
00:18:37.279 --> 00:18:39.680
And he wasn't he wasn't one of our normal people.
00:18:39.920 --> 00:18:40.240
No.
00:18:40.480 --> 00:18:43.359
The funny thing here for me like he was a pick me, he was a pick-me-up.
00:18:43.599 --> 00:18:46.079
Yeah, he was he was a he was a he was an add-on.
00:18:46.400 --> 00:18:48.160
An add-on, a pick me up.
00:18:49.119 --> 00:19:01.759
But yeah, I mean, though I will tell you, like, as I've gotten older, like those guys, those particular guys like that that we would encounter every now and then would get under my skin and I'd hang on for a while.
00:19:02.160 --> 00:19:02.400
Right?
00:19:02.720 --> 00:19:05.119
And I'd be like, oh, like, dude.
00:19:05.359 --> 00:19:07.039
I want to kick him in the face.
00:19:07.279 --> 00:19:07.599
Yeah.
00:19:07.839 --> 00:19:09.359
Should have threw him up the plane.
00:19:09.599 --> 00:19:10.559
Uh, yeah.
00:19:10.720 --> 00:19:12.960
I should have ran the card into his damn leg.
00:19:13.759 --> 00:19:14.400
Like, what?
00:19:14.559 --> 00:19:16.799
Like you're used to you're going through all these things.
00:19:16.960 --> 00:19:18.079
Those are those thoughts, right?
00:19:18.319 --> 00:19:20.079
They they get they're like, okay.
00:19:20.240 --> 00:19:21.519
They're spinning thoughts.
00:19:21.759 --> 00:19:22.240
Anymore.
00:19:22.480 --> 00:19:23.920
Anymore, like I just shine them on.
00:19:24.079 --> 00:19:26.240
Yeah, and then you're like, okay, thanks.
00:19:26.480 --> 00:19:26.960
Yeah.
00:19:27.200 --> 00:19:28.720
I'm like, I don't even got time for you.
00:19:28.880 --> 00:19:30.480
Hey, so did you move your tree?
00:19:30.640 --> 00:19:32.240
I moved my tree, dude.
00:19:32.559 --> 00:19:38.720
So garage construction's getting ready to happen, and like I'm in the deadline now.
00:19:38.799 --> 00:19:44.720
Like, I think in like here uh seven days or something like that, I'm gonna have they're gonna start construction.
00:19:44.880 --> 00:19:48.319
So all the landscaping I did I had to transplant.
00:19:48.559 --> 00:19:50.960
So there was one tree I had to move.
00:19:51.200 --> 00:19:52.240
But you know what happened?
00:19:52.319 --> 00:19:54.240
This is a little funny thing for you.
00:19:57.359 --> 00:20:01.920
I I last night I'm out and I decide I'm gonna transplant this tree.
00:20:02.000 --> 00:20:03.599
So you gotta dig around.
00:20:03.680 --> 00:20:04.559
I even looked at a video.
00:20:04.720 --> 00:20:12.640
How should I do this to not, you know, keep it from being you know, the get the root ball and keep the tree out of too much shock and all that stuff.
00:20:12.720 --> 00:20:15.680
So I'm like a little, you know, studying up, trying to get it.
00:20:15.920 --> 00:20:20.079
So I'm digging around, getting to make sure the root ball is nice and clean, scooped it up.
00:20:20.160 --> 00:20:31.119
I like this one guy he likes he's he smart transport, slid the tree onto a tarp and then slid the tarp to a new new location.
00:20:31.440 --> 00:20:33.119
Yeah, down was better than up.
00:20:33.359 --> 00:20:33.839
Exactly.
00:20:34.480 --> 00:20:35.200
I can tell you that.
00:20:35.359 --> 00:20:39.279
Yeah, and so I get down there and I'm like, where do I want this tree?
00:20:39.359 --> 00:20:41.039
And I'm thinking, okay, here it is.
00:20:41.200 --> 00:20:42.720
This is the place I'm gonna get the tree.
00:20:42.960 --> 00:20:43.519
Perfect spot.
00:20:43.839 --> 00:20:45.119
I dig this damn hole.
00:20:45.279 --> 00:20:49.359
So the root ball's like, I'd say like foot, foot and a half, you know.
00:20:49.519 --> 00:20:52.000
So I'm like, I gotta, I gotta dig a decent hole.
00:20:52.079 --> 00:20:53.839
And here in Ohio, clay.
00:20:54.160 --> 00:20:55.279
Yeah, after six inches, yeah.
00:20:55.440 --> 00:20:57.119
Like six inches, and boom, it's nothing but clay.
00:20:57.279 --> 00:20:57.359
Yeah.
00:20:57.519 --> 00:21:09.599
So I'm in there with a big huge metal freaking spike thing, and I'm jabbing in there and popping the clay and jabbing and prying, and and I'm getting this thing, and I get down like and I'm like, oh, I'm damn near a foot and a half.
00:21:09.759 --> 00:21:18.960
And I'm like just trying to now clean up the edges, and I go wham! And all of a sudden I look down, and I was freaking the Beverly Hillbillies.
00:21:20.240 --> 00:21:25.599
Freaking water starts spurting out, the hole starts filling up, swirling around.
00:21:26.400 --> 00:21:29.039
You see, like this this current happening in my.
00:21:29.519 --> 00:21:31.920
I'm like, what the hell?
00:21:32.160 --> 00:21:34.559
That was that water line you you were looking for.
00:21:34.720 --> 00:21:37.039
Yeah, it was a water line I was looking for.
00:21:37.119 --> 00:21:38.160
I found it.
00:21:38.640 --> 00:21:40.079
I was like, I couldn't even imagine.
00:21:40.160 --> 00:21:41.200
I was down a foot and a half.
00:21:41.279 --> 00:21:44.880
I was like, this dude whoever did the sprinkler system like buried it pretty deep.
00:21:44.960 --> 00:21:45.359
Yeah.
00:21:45.680 --> 00:21:47.359
But I broke it.
00:21:47.920 --> 00:21:51.359
So now I'm standing there like over this damn hole going, Mother.
00:21:52.400 --> 00:21:52.480
Yeah.
00:21:52.799 --> 00:21:54.480
Do you hate when shit like that happens?
00:21:54.640 --> 00:21:58.960
I'm like, I well through my mind, and I'm like, I'm like, okay, wait, wait.
00:21:59.039 --> 00:21:59.839
So now I gotta figure out.
00:22:00.400 --> 00:22:02.880
Out what I just hit, okay.
00:22:03.119 --> 00:22:06.160
So now I'm like, okay, I gotta go get a baling bucket.
00:22:06.880 --> 00:22:09.039
I'm like flipping out muddy water.
00:22:09.119 --> 00:22:10.319
Well, that was great.
00:22:10.480 --> 00:22:11.920
And I'm like, boom, boom, boom.
00:22:12.000 --> 00:22:20.079
Finally, I get the water stops going into the hole, and I get down there and here, lo and behold, this whole pipe exposes itself, and there's a pipe there.
00:22:20.160 --> 00:22:24.240
And I'm like, oh my gosh, I just broke this stupid line.
00:22:24.319 --> 00:22:26.319
So now I'm thinking I gotta fix it.
00:22:26.480 --> 00:22:28.720
And now I'm thinking, guess what?
00:22:28.960 --> 00:22:34.079
You can't go to a Home Depot anymore to get those parts anymore because Home Depot got out of the sprinkler business.
00:22:34.240 --> 00:22:34.480
Yeah.
00:22:34.640 --> 00:22:35.920
You can only order them online.
00:22:36.160 --> 00:22:38.160
And so you have to go to a professional place to get it.
00:22:38.240 --> 00:22:40.319
And I'm like, they're closed and it's too late.
00:22:40.559 --> 00:22:42.640
Dude, it was just like this whole thing was spinning.
00:22:42.720 --> 00:22:45.599
Now I'm just standing over a hole going, what am I gonna do?
00:22:45.839 --> 00:22:48.000
I'm gonna dig another damn hole.
00:22:50.160 --> 00:22:53.119
Because my tree's gonna die if I don't trigger this damn hole.
00:22:53.200 --> 00:22:55.920
So I gotta like, now I gotta figure out a new spot for the hole.
00:22:56.160 --> 00:22:57.920
I'm like, maybe I'll just like inch it over.
00:22:58.000 --> 00:23:03.279
But then I was like, well, I gotta put this tree in here and I still gotta fix this pipe, so I have to leave that open to fix it.
00:23:03.359 --> 00:23:07.759
And I'm like, no, I can't put it in the same, I can't like connect, you know, just shift a hole, make it longer.
00:23:07.920 --> 00:23:08.799
That wouldn't work.
00:23:08.960 --> 00:23:11.680
So I'm like, all right, dig another hole.
00:23:11.839 --> 00:23:12.559
Here I am.
00:23:12.799 --> 00:23:16.319
All you had to do is just set the tree.
00:23:16.480 --> 00:23:19.680
Just not that last one, just that last one.
00:23:19.759 --> 00:23:21.920
You figure just a little bit more clay.
00:23:22.240 --> 00:23:23.680
Dude, I was so mad.
00:23:24.480 --> 00:23:29.279
I mean, I was so close to being done, and it was a big deep hole, and I'm like, ooh, I haven't dug a hole.
00:23:29.599 --> 00:23:30.640
This shit happens all the time.
00:23:31.279 --> 00:23:32.960
But then it's like, come on.
00:23:33.200 --> 00:23:37.440
The simplest you do a job, and all of a sudden the dumbest damn thing happens.
00:23:37.599 --> 00:23:37.920
Yeah.
00:23:38.160 --> 00:23:39.039
Stupidest thing.
00:23:39.200 --> 00:23:41.359
And this week for me, too, is like, this is golf week.
00:23:41.440 --> 00:23:43.519
This is like, I've been waiting all summer for this week.
00:23:43.680 --> 00:23:44.880
This is the invitational.
00:23:44.960 --> 00:23:46.160
I got a buddy coming in.
00:23:46.240 --> 00:23:47.119
Yeah, we're doing golf.
00:23:47.200 --> 00:23:51.839
This whole entire today was the first day of this the beginning of it, and it's five days of golf.
00:23:51.920 --> 00:23:53.119
I'm just being golfing every day.
00:23:53.200 --> 00:23:59.119
So I'm thinking, I don't need shit to be done or something, a to-do list, you know, that I gotta do.
00:23:59.359 --> 00:24:06.720
And I'm thinking, at first I was just like, I'm gonna walk away and just leave this tree right here, but I'm like, it would be dead by the end of the week.
00:24:07.119 --> 00:24:09.680
It had plenty of water in it, yeah.
00:24:10.000 --> 00:24:10.640
Right.
00:24:12.079 --> 00:24:13.440
Temporarily.
00:24:14.720 --> 00:24:16.960
Anyways, that would that happen.
00:24:18.319 --> 00:24:19.279
Shit was funny.
00:24:19.359 --> 00:24:19.920
Yeah.
00:24:20.319 --> 00:24:21.759
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
00:24:21.920 --> 00:24:22.720
I do enjoy that.
00:24:22.960 --> 00:24:23.279
Yeah.
00:24:23.519 --> 00:24:27.359
When you do something stupid, dude, I thoroughly enjoy it.
00:24:27.599 --> 00:24:29.039
It was it was stupid.
00:24:29.279 --> 00:24:32.160
It was it was stupid because I'm not done with my project.
00:24:32.240 --> 00:24:35.200
I've got like tons of stuff to do, and then I got this deadline.
00:24:35.359 --> 00:24:39.519
So, like, this coming Sunday, I have to like finish this job.
00:24:39.599 --> 00:24:41.519
Like, this it has to be finished that day.
00:24:41.680 --> 00:24:45.440
So, Sunday is my last day of transplanting and getting shit done.
00:24:45.519 --> 00:24:47.680
And hopefully I don't bust another waterline.
00:24:49.599 --> 00:24:53.680
Well, at least you got your well, you got all the shit out of the way, so your golfing should be good.
00:24:53.839 --> 00:24:54.079
Yeah.
00:24:54.400 --> 00:24:59.680
So next week should we should talk about like how you did you pulled like a tiger woods on a golf course.
00:24:59.920 --> 00:25:00.960
I hope, I hope that happens.
00:25:01.200 --> 00:25:03.200
Let's let's say early Tiger Woods.
00:25:03.279 --> 00:25:03.359
Yeah.
00:25:03.839 --> 00:25:04.799
Not like a later tiger woods.
00:25:04.960 --> 00:25:05.680
We'll see.
00:25:05.920 --> 00:25:08.319
Maybe a later tiger won't be so hot.
00:25:09.119 --> 00:25:11.119
So let's go around the globe.
00:25:11.279 --> 00:25:15.839
Hey, 22 aircraft diverted to um Colorado Springs.
00:25:16.000 --> 00:25:16.400
You see that?
00:25:16.559 --> 00:25:16.799
No.
00:25:17.200 --> 00:25:19.279
So the turbulence has been kind of crazy.
00:25:19.359 --> 00:25:21.279
You have you guys do you guys get any of that?
00:25:21.440 --> 00:25:23.839
I mean, going um international highlights.
00:25:24.400 --> 00:25:25.119
Have you guys got any of that?
00:25:25.359 --> 00:25:26.799
I mean, no, no, it's been pretty bad.
00:25:26.960 --> 00:25:28.400
It's been pretty bad in the U.S.
00:25:28.720 --> 00:25:30.480
We've been getting turbulence.
00:25:30.640 --> 00:25:32.400
Like, it's it's funny.
00:25:32.480 --> 00:25:37.759
Like, you know how like we're getting, you know, you get the pilot briefing before our flight, and we always, you know, they tell us about the weather and all that stuff.
00:25:37.920 --> 00:25:43.599
But on international flights, it's like, okay, in nine hours from now, we're gonna get some turbulence.
00:25:43.680 --> 00:25:43.759
Yeah.
00:25:44.079 --> 00:25:46.160
You're like, wow.
00:25:46.319 --> 00:25:50.079
Like that, you know, we're gonna go through this area, there's a line of storms, blah, blah, blah.
00:25:50.400 --> 00:25:52.799
Usually they're pretty close to what's going on.
00:25:52.880 --> 00:25:56.960
So we've been, you know, we've been getting a little bit of it, but nothing any crazy.
00:25:57.200 --> 00:26:06.720
And but it has like made us like change our routes big time on like turbulent like areas, and they're like, okay, we're gonna go way around this thing.
00:26:06.960 --> 00:26:23.519
So, like, and when I say way around, like you're coming across the Atlantic Ocean, and normally like we'll come across the ocean like from England area and come down and shoot down to the you know, cross Greenland and boom, down into the States.
00:26:23.759 --> 00:26:35.039
Well, then when we adjust, we might like go way up towards Iceland and Greenland and then come back down, you know, like it's it's pretty wild, but yeah, we've been getting our fair share of it.
00:26:35.200 --> 00:26:40.319
Yeah, no, the the turbulence down in Florida, yeah, we're we're sitting down quite a bit.
00:26:40.559 --> 00:26:41.440
Quite a bit, quite a bit.
00:26:41.519 --> 00:26:45.599
Yeah, but I was reading about these, and they had 22 of them divert to Colorado Springs.
00:26:45.839 --> 00:26:48.480
Unusual to have that many airplanes divert.
00:26:48.559 --> 00:26:48.799
Yeah.
00:26:49.200 --> 00:26:52.000
I think they said like five people that needed medical assistance.
00:26:52.079 --> 00:26:53.200
That's that's really not bad.
00:26:53.279 --> 00:26:57.920
Well for 22 flights, you know that different mountain range there from Colorado Springs and Denver, yeah.
00:26:58.079 --> 00:26:58.319
Right?
00:26:58.480 --> 00:27:02.319
Like total mountain wave activity, like they get it bad all the time.
00:27:02.480 --> 00:27:10.400
Right, but when you think about 22 planes diverted because of turbines, yeah, on only only five people were were injured, yeah.
00:27:10.640 --> 00:27:12.240
That's actually pretty good.
00:27:12.880 --> 00:27:13.519
Yeah.
00:27:13.759 --> 00:27:16.319
This is why you fasten your seatbelt.
00:27:16.559 --> 00:27:17.119
Yeah, okay.
00:27:17.200 --> 00:27:24.720
This one, this video, this video that you they have to check out, is did you see the one with the lithium battery?
00:27:25.039 --> 00:27:26.799
Oh, yeah, that was crazy.
00:27:26.960 --> 00:27:27.680
The evac?
00:27:27.839 --> 00:27:27.920
Yeah.
00:27:28.160 --> 00:27:32.079
Now the feds are the feds are on the uh about the flight attendants all the time about the evacs.
00:27:32.319 --> 00:27:32.400
Right.
00:27:32.559 --> 00:27:34.160
It's not the it's not the flight attendants.
00:27:34.319 --> 00:27:34.640
No.
00:27:34.880 --> 00:27:38.240
If you guys watch this video, it's a perfect example.
00:27:38.559 --> 00:27:39.359
You can watch it down below.
00:27:39.519 --> 00:27:41.039
Yeah, we're putting the link down below.
00:27:41.359 --> 00:27:46.400
Go go watch this video from the link below and see this this evacuation.
00:27:46.559 --> 00:27:48.319
They're they're telling them to get off the plane.
00:27:49.039 --> 00:27:50.799
People are just standing there and they're arguing.
00:27:50.960 --> 00:27:51.200
Yes.
00:27:51.279 --> 00:27:53.519
The one guy like, get off, we're evacuating.
00:27:53.599 --> 00:27:53.920
Get off.
00:27:55.200 --> 00:27:56.960
The one guy was looking like, quit yelling at me.
00:27:57.119 --> 00:27:58.240
Yeah, quit yelling at me.
00:27:58.319 --> 00:27:58.480
Yeah.
00:27:58.640 --> 00:27:59.440
You don't have to yell.
00:27:59.519 --> 00:27:59.759
Yeah.
00:27:59.920 --> 00:28:00.880
Get off the plane.
00:28:01.039 --> 00:28:02.720
The other ones are looking for their bags.
00:28:02.880 --> 00:28:03.119
Right.
00:28:03.279 --> 00:28:04.000
Putting their backpack.
00:28:04.400 --> 00:28:07.759
And then the one lady's like, there's no emergency, there's no fire, there's nothing.
00:28:08.000 --> 00:28:09.519
No, that's not your call, babe.
00:28:09.680 --> 00:28:09.920
Right.
00:28:10.480 --> 00:28:11.359
But yet they're going out the room.
00:28:11.599 --> 00:28:15.039
The loose road doesn't make the call on if we are evacuating or not.
00:28:15.119 --> 00:28:15.359
Yeah.
00:28:15.599 --> 00:28:17.359
Once we start doing it, we're doing it.
00:28:17.519 --> 00:28:17.680
Yeah.
00:28:17.759 --> 00:28:22.559
And they're yelling at them, telling them to leave their bags as they're putting their backpacks on their body.
00:28:22.720 --> 00:28:23.440
Leave your bags.
00:28:23.599 --> 00:28:23.680
Right.
00:28:23.920 --> 00:28:25.680
Oh, it was like the video was priceless.
00:28:26.480 --> 00:28:26.960
Unbelievable.
00:28:27.200 --> 00:28:30.960
And people just stood there like, thank God the plane wasn't on fire or something.
00:28:31.119 --> 00:28:36.799
Because it was literally, people just like, you know, just like are you sure you want to do it?
00:28:37.759 --> 00:28:45.039
It's a perfect example, though, of the FAA, the FAA is saying the crews need more training.
00:28:45.279 --> 00:28:46.079
You can't get them.
00:28:46.640 --> 00:28:47.519
You can't get them to move.
00:28:50.400 --> 00:28:51.920
No, you can't get the passengers to move.
00:28:52.000 --> 00:28:52.480
That's the thing.
00:28:52.559 --> 00:28:53.440
You can't get them to move.
00:28:53.680 --> 00:28:57.279
It's it's not that flight attendants needed training, it's the passengers need training.
00:28:57.440 --> 00:29:07.920
And wait, what they need to do is they'd have to have more PSAs out there about how dangerous it is, and more videos and more teaching the public.
00:29:08.079 --> 00:29:10.640
It says it's the public that needs to be taught, not us.
00:29:10.880 --> 00:29:11.200
Right?
00:29:11.359 --> 00:29:12.400
No, that's what I'm saying.
00:29:12.480 --> 00:29:16.720
I mean, the the video just I mean, it it perfectly illustrates that.
00:29:16.880 --> 00:29:17.279
Yeah.
00:29:17.519 --> 00:29:18.319
Without a doubt.
00:29:18.480 --> 00:29:18.720
Yeah.
00:29:18.960 --> 00:29:24.319
But then then you're talking about other idiots like this other video that we linked down below.
00:29:24.720 --> 00:29:25.680
That dude.
00:29:26.240 --> 00:29:27.680
Who has an alligator?
00:29:27.920 --> 00:29:29.440
Who walks around with an alligator?
00:29:29.519 --> 00:29:31.440
He's holding an alligator like it's a baby.
00:29:31.599 --> 00:29:32.640
Like it's a pet.
00:29:32.880 --> 00:29:35.119
He's like, I was waiting in the video.
00:29:35.599 --> 00:29:42.000
Like when you sent me the link to the thing, I was waiting for the the the he has this thing and he's kind of like petting it.
00:29:42.799 --> 00:29:47.119
Like the like, I was waiting for them thing to just turn around and just like come up.
00:29:48.559 --> 00:29:49.119
Yeah, I know.
00:29:49.279 --> 00:29:51.920
And I was like, like I mean, I was looking at the face.
00:29:53.200 --> 00:29:53.920
I was waiting for that rub.
00:29:54.000 --> 00:29:54.880
I know, I so was I.
00:29:55.039 --> 00:29:55.599
It didn't happen.
00:29:55.839 --> 00:29:57.599
It's like like alligator rub.
00:29:57.759 --> 00:29:58.000
Yeah.
00:29:58.079 --> 00:30:00.799
I'm like, people are so stupid.
00:30:02.799 --> 00:30:03.519
It's so dumb.
00:30:03.839 --> 00:30:04.960
Nobody should be holding an alligator.
00:30:05.119 --> 00:30:05.519
An alligator.
00:30:07.839 --> 00:30:08.960
It's just dumb.
00:30:09.200 --> 00:30:15.680
Okay, now this has gone around more than any video this week.
00:30:15.920 --> 00:30:16.720
What's that?
00:30:17.039 --> 00:30:24.000
The national anthem at the women's professional first baseball game.
00:30:24.319 --> 00:30:25.839
Oh, horrible.
00:30:26.079 --> 00:30:28.000
It was so painful.
00:30:28.160 --> 00:30:29.599
I don't know if you guys have seen it.
00:30:29.920 --> 00:30:30.640
Horrific.
00:30:31.039 --> 00:30:33.440
When you if can I say this?
00:30:34.079 --> 00:30:38.079
She the the singer, she's she's past her years.
00:30:38.640 --> 00:30:39.440
Did you be nice?
00:30:39.920 --> 00:30:42.079
Okay, but we didn't know who it was at first.
00:30:42.319 --> 00:30:43.039
Yeah, we didn't know.
00:30:43.279 --> 00:30:50.960
When you start looking up and doing some investigating on this video that's linked below, right, that you find out who was it?
00:30:51.119 --> 00:30:51.839
Martha Rees.
00:30:52.240 --> 00:30:52.960
Martha Rees.
00:30:53.200 --> 00:30:57.519
Yeah, she was Martha in the Vandelas, and she had some great songs.
00:30:57.680 --> 00:30:57.920
Yeah.
00:30:58.079 --> 00:30:59.839
I mean, songs we still listen to.
00:31:00.000 --> 00:31:00.240
Right.
00:31:00.400 --> 00:31:04.720
I mean, she's she's got good music, but she is past her.
00:31:05.039 --> 00:31:07.519
She likes she can't even hear herself.
00:31:07.759 --> 00:31:10.880
She shouldn't be like somebody need tell her people.
00:31:11.119 --> 00:31:11.599
It was painful.
00:31:11.759 --> 00:31:12.640
Somebody tell her.
00:31:12.799 --> 00:31:13.680
It was painful.
00:31:13.839 --> 00:31:15.839
Like 30 million times painful.
00:31:16.079 --> 00:31:20.559
The two gals that were singing with her were kind of like in disbelief.
00:31:21.839 --> 00:31:26.400
When you hear off-key, when you hear off-key, you sing off-key.
00:31:26.480 --> 00:31:29.839
Did you hear they were actually singing off-key from her?
00:31:30.000 --> 00:31:31.920
It was just a complete mess.
00:31:32.160 --> 00:31:33.359
It was very off.
00:31:36.079 --> 00:31:37.440
Understatement off.
00:31:37.759 --> 00:31:38.000
Yeah.
00:31:38.319 --> 00:31:40.240
League of League of Their Own, right?
00:31:40.319 --> 00:31:41.039
I love that movie.
00:31:41.200 --> 00:31:41.440
Yeah.
00:31:41.680 --> 00:31:42.480
Tom Hanks.
00:31:42.559 --> 00:31:42.720
Yeah.
00:31:42.880 --> 00:31:44.000
Love that movie.
00:31:44.799 --> 00:31:46.640
This is not the way it started off.
00:31:46.880 --> 00:31:47.599
No, no.
00:31:47.839 --> 00:31:48.480
This is not the way.
00:31:48.799 --> 00:31:49.920
You're not exactly going to have a.
00:31:50.640 --> 00:31:56.160
If Tom was in the thing, he'd be saying, there's no bad singing anthem people in baseball.
00:31:57.920 --> 00:32:01.839
There's not going to be a big, a big public draw.
00:32:02.160 --> 00:32:04.640
What what who let her sing?
00:32:06.400 --> 00:32:09.680
If you looked in in the audience, they're like, Yeah.
00:32:11.119 --> 00:32:13.920
It was like nails on the chalkboard.
00:32:14.160 --> 00:32:14.960
Head was turning.
00:32:15.119 --> 00:32:16.240
Head was turned a little bit.
00:32:16.480 --> 00:32:16.880
Right.
00:32:17.200 --> 00:32:22.079
But before we get before we get out of here, that was actually really cool.
00:32:22.319 --> 00:32:22.960
Really cool.
00:32:23.200 --> 00:32:26.160
Was the iceberg it was unfricking believable.
00:32:26.319 --> 00:32:36.960
If there's one video you gotta watch at and of all these ones that were mentioned, the link down below of this iceberg that flips over is unbelievable.
00:32:37.119 --> 00:32:38.319
It's like five-minute long video.
00:32:38.400 --> 00:32:38.559
Yeah.
00:32:38.720 --> 00:32:40.000
I was like mesmerized.
00:32:40.240 --> 00:32:42.960
We were trying to figure out, we were trying to figure out how the hell it happened.
00:32:43.119 --> 00:32:44.000
How did it flip?
00:32:44.240 --> 00:32:53.519
How does that like that would be a good like um, you know, like like one of those like science guys, like Bill Nye or something like that, like be like, how does this happen?
00:32:53.680 --> 00:32:57.119
And this and then he goes, like, the reasons of how this should happen.
00:32:57.200 --> 00:32:58.640
Think think about that physics of it.
00:32:58.880 --> 00:33:04.559
You know, you know, if if an ice cube is thinner at the bottom, right, and then heavier at the top.
00:33:04.880 --> 00:33:06.319
Well, it's gonna flip.
00:33:06.640 --> 00:33:08.079
We might have solved it.
00:33:08.319 --> 00:33:08.799
Maybe.
00:33:08.960 --> 00:33:09.440
Who knows?
00:33:09.680 --> 00:33:10.880
We're so smart.
00:33:11.440 --> 00:33:13.519
We're not just slightly in some pretty faces.
00:33:17.680 --> 00:33:21.839
But no, it actually was a very, very cool video, and we just solved it, Sean.
00:33:22.240 --> 00:33:22.799
Exactly, man.
00:33:22.960 --> 00:33:25.920
It was it, but we can't we can't answer why the damn thing broke apart.
00:33:26.400 --> 00:33:26.880
Who knows?
00:33:27.039 --> 00:33:28.240
Yeah, whatever.
00:33:28.640 --> 00:33:30.400
A little warm water or something.
00:33:30.640 --> 00:33:31.039
All right.
00:33:31.359 --> 00:33:36.319
Inspirational quote Life is too short to sweat, sweat the small stuff.
00:33:36.480 --> 00:33:38.400
Have fun, look forward to every day.
00:33:38.480 --> 00:33:39.359
It's a gift.
00:33:39.599 --> 00:33:45.359
Regret nothing, and don't ever let any people bring you down.
00:33:45.839 --> 00:33:46.480
Nope.
00:33:46.720 --> 00:33:49.119
And even when you hit a water line, just keep going.
00:33:49.200 --> 00:33:50.480
Yeah, just keep swimming.
00:33:50.720 --> 00:33:54.240
Or remember when you get that asshole that's on the plane that's trying to egg you on.
00:33:54.319 --> 00:33:54.559
Yeah.
00:33:54.880 --> 00:33:55.920
Just keep keep going.
00:33:56.079 --> 00:33:56.799
Just keep it together.
00:33:56.960 --> 00:33:57.359
Let it go.
00:33:57.519 --> 00:33:58.480
Keep it together, brother.
00:33:58.559 --> 00:33:59.680
I was keeping it together.
00:33:59.920 --> 00:34:00.240
Right?
00:34:00.400 --> 00:34:01.839
I was getting chicken skin.
00:34:02.240 --> 00:34:03.839
I haven't had chicken skin for a long time.
00:34:04.079 --> 00:34:04.640
A long time.
00:34:04.799 --> 00:34:06.559
So I don't want to get chicken skin again.
00:34:06.640 --> 00:34:07.680
Don't push my button.
00:34:08.320 --> 00:34:10.159
I'm I'm I'm not good at that.
00:34:10.400 --> 00:34:10.800
All right.
00:34:10.960 --> 00:34:12.480
Push the button off.
00:34:12.719 --> 00:34:13.519
See you next week.
00:34:13.760 --> 00:34:14.400
See you next week.
00:34:14.480 --> 00:34:15.599
Have the last word, Sean.
00:34:16.159 --> 00:34:17.119
I just did.
