speaker-1: Yeah.
speaker-0: All right, welcome to another game ready. I'm Xavier. Hey,
speaker-1: I'm Ray.
speaker-0: we got Game Ready today, something special. Jack Daniels special release. Only at the distillery. You got it, Ray.
speaker-1: Alright, so we got this really cool, hard-to-get Jack Daniel special release small batch rye. so they did five iterations of this. they all come from different places, different rick houses that they name. we got Boiler Hill number one, Boiler Hill number two, Cory Hill number one, Cory Hill number two, and fire brigade fields. so this particular one that we were able to get our hands off on is Boiler Hill number two. so it comes in at 142.7 proof. So that is hazmat. It is a rye. I do have the Tanyard Hill, which is phenomenal, and then we both have different versions of the Cory Hill bourbon, right? Yeah. so this one is distillery only release, so you do have to go up to distillery and get it. So shout out to my parents. They were vacationing in Nashville and I begged them. To take a trip down to Lynchburg. I was like, if if you if you have some time, please drive down there. There's a couple bottles that you can grab for us. I helped my dad I had to FaceTime my dad and tell him exactly what to get to make sure that we get the this particular bottle. So that was really neat. They were able to walk around a little bit and I was able to see it through FaceTime, some of the distilleries, some of the campus that they have there. So really neat. So interesting that Coy Hill, Tanier Hill. And Boiler Hero are all in the same track of land. So they're all like near each other. all of them I think they're all hazmats, all of them that they came out. some higher proofs than than others. And what's really proof on it? 142.7 for this particular one. so 71.35 alcohol by volume.
speaker-0: Love Jag Dang.
speaker-1: Yeah. So it says balling date is April 2nd, 26, and barrel entry was seven eleven, two thousand seventeen. Barrel one six, barrel house one dash six. so really cool. They did all the they these in three seventy five, which is cool. So you know, hopefully more people can get their hands on them. and this was a really cool you know
speaker-0: Bro, it looked like you grabbing that ball like you want to pitch it.
speaker-1: Man, this I I I I'm trying to like hold it like a baby actually. So it doesn't Yeah, no, this is this is really cool. So, you know, we obviously big Jack Daniels fans. Yes. They've really been coming up with some amazing expressions lately, doing the Tanner Hill, which was one of our top pours of last year, top bottles of last year. Core Hills have been phenomenal. Yeah. so shout out to Jack Daniels for constantly innovating and giving us Bourbon Enthusiast new products.
speaker-0: And you know, not to, you know, give anybody the nudge on the in the back to go trying to look for these type of bottle because you could go to your local store, liquor store, and find the Jack Daniels Bear Bear Proof Rye and the Bear Bear Proof bourbon. Those are amazing at the price point that it's listed as.
speaker-1: I think so. I think so. I think the toasted and if you can get the toasted the toasted one, I think the barrel proof single barrel barrel proof rice and that bourbon, I do have one of each and and if you can get with one of your local groups that is doing a pick on yeah. I those are e exceptional. and I also think the the how we s forget forget the name. The one that you have, the Hero Select. Hero Select Hero Select is selected by the veterans, it those are phenomenal. If you could find it. If you can find those, yeah. So
speaker-0: Yeah.
speaker-1: Yeah, we'll go ahead and nose
speaker-0: Yeah, your basic w brown form and Jack Daniels whiskey profile.
speaker-1: Yeah. I am getting like a little bit of cinnamon on it though. Like I don't get No.
speaker-0: That banana note they must.
speaker-1: Maybe it'll be on the palate maybe, but I do get a lot of cinnamon. Little bit of cherry? Yeah. Little bit of cherry.
speaker-0: This is different. I do get some hint of that cherry. Yeah.
speaker-1: There's like some cherry and cinnamon to it, which is which
speaker-0: I don't want to get the banana. This I like that. Yeah. Moving palette. All right. Just a little bit of that banana note. More of that cherry note. That's what I'm getting. Mm-hmm. Peppery, your traditional Jack Daniel whiskey.
speaker-1: Yeah.
speaker-0: But with a little bit more punch, like a combo punch.
speaker-1: There is a lot of punch to this. Like not not in a bad way, but the rye spice is so prevalent, but so good. Yeah. it just it just like a very good tingle. a lot of a lot a lot of cherry. chart oak. There's some chart oak there. Yeah. yeah. And I I think that cinnamon translated to the palate. I get like cinnamon on it. Yeah, there's more of that rye spice on the on the finish. I mean definitely are not gonna mistake this for anything else. It's definitely a rye. Yeah, it's a rye. there's like some maybe some p pepper, some black pepper on
speaker-0: Pepper very pepper at the bottom.
speaker-1: Yeah. I I yeah. Wow
speaker-0: Hundred forty two point seven pro
speaker-1: and it's a hazmat. It it doesn't on the nose there's Jack Daniels. On the nose, there's not a lot of ethanol. Like it doesn't like burn the nostrils. I don't It doesn't sting the nostrils. And it also doesn't drink like a hazmat. It's not like it's not too much, you know. So I think they did an exceptional job exceptional job with this. I think
speaker-0: get one if you could go to the distillery if you're in the area and you and they have grab either or. I haven't this the only one I ever had, but I'm sure they all are amazing. Yeah.
speaker-1: But and at the distillery they're sixty five, seventy bucks. Which is amazing. If you can get there and get there, I I I think it's worth it. If you're in the Tennessee area, you should definitely take that trip down. What's the
speaker-0: Most you'll pay on secondary though.
speaker-1: That's a good question. I think because of how good this is, the only problem is is you're you're only getting half a bottle, right? So you gotta take that into a account. I know they're going for like three, four hundred on secondary. I would be I would be a little n like shy to to do that, to pay that much for a three seventy five. Yeah. I think you'd be better off. Well, I don't even know if they'd be able to do that, but See in your community. Check check with somebody. Try it. Try it. Build those relationships.
speaker-0: that relationship. Yeah. As you build those relationships, you could try things like this because not everyone could get out there to Tennessee to the distillery to get one of these bottles. So thank you, appreciate your parents for stopping by and picking this up. So that is so it's a starter, it's not going on the bench. You know, it's Friday night lights and tick Friday night live and work lights, right? We're in Texas, so Texas football, we're not gonna do football this time. We're gonna do what we want to do. Yeah.
speaker-1: So I think I'm gonna go I guess superhero, right? so
speaker-0: Superhero.
speaker-1: to me, this is incredible. and it's green. So I'm gonna go incredible Hulk. Right? This is where because it's it's bold. Okay. It's really good, but you know, he he's not David Ban, he's not always like that, right? There's times when he's not the Hulk, right? So that's that's what this reminds me of that balance. It's it it's incredible. But it's not gonna blow your palate away. it's approachable, it's easy to easy to drink. but it is green. I like that. Yeah, and it is like it's incredible. I think it's I think it's that good. so yeah, incredible hope for me.
speaker-0: Incredible. I like that. So you know what? I'm gonna go this is gonna tell my age. I'm gonna bring the mic up a little bit. So I want y'all to hear me. I'm going to Green Power Ranger, tummy. Man, so that's classic. I feel like this is a classic pour if you can get it. I feel like it's something that could just sit there on your shelf without anybody just going to it unless they know about it. the Green Ranger was snappy. But I I don't think he was more fierce than the the White Ranger, because the White Ranger was more fierce if you ask me. But I'm talking about more of like, let's go do this.
speaker-1: Well, the Green Ranger. Yeah when he turned bad that way. Yeah, he turned bad. When they took him and he one B five. Yeah. And kicked all their ass. He kicked all crazy. I was like, wow. He the leader. Yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah. I mean, I know they names some of them.
speaker-1: Yeah.
speaker-0: Yeah. Tommy, Zach, Kimberly, Trina.
speaker-1: And he didn't even like take it easy on the girls. He just like wow like domestic violence here. No, but he likes yeah. Yeah.
speaker-0: I'm going Green Ranger and it is a game ready. It's proved by Brims and Barrels. Yep. Two fits?
speaker-1: One pour. Cheers.
