We live in the age of information.
Connectivity has become an essential part of our daily lives and communications as an industry is growing so much that it is, quite literally, reaching the stars.
When we look at the night sky, we don’t realize that we’re not only seeing stars but also the very means of communications that allow all our information to move around the world.
No wonder billionaires like Elon Musk are trying to conquer the orbit of Earth so that they can claim the airwaves.
Space is no longer the final frontier.
With so much of our information and communication being outsourced to satellites in the low earth orbit (known as the LEO constellation), what new opportunities and challenges await? Who will regulate the airspace? How will this impact the way we interact with technology? Will these advancements help people in low connectivity areas?
Or will we block out the Sun with our artificial constellation before any of this comes to pass?
We answer these questions, and more, in today’s episode of Bit Dirty.
