25
00:01:20,260 --> 00:01:23,900
today, be back soon. But
26
00:01:23,920 --> 00:01:26,600
with Casey Nemeth. I'm no
27
00:01:26,620 --> 00:01:28,800
too much of his thumber,
28
00:01:28,840 --> 00:01:33,540
me. But Casey's here both

here a long time. Where a

talk about the business t
36
00:01:54,860 --> 00:01:57,160
first, we'd like to know
37
00:01:57,180 --> 00:02:00,320
what you've done and uh a
38
00:02:00,360 --> 00:02:04,120
doing when I graduated I
39

Ferris in 90 91 area. Uh
40
00:02:09,760 --> 00:02:14,200
uh through college, half
41
00:02:14,200 --> 00:02:16,200
out that there was a open

00:02:16,240 --> 00:02:19,640

00:02:19,660 --> 00:02:21,940
being a C. J. Student, th
44
00:02:21,980 --> 00:02:25,000
to work and actually work
45
00:02:25,040 --> 00:02:28,880
year in the jail, went fu
46
00:02:28,920 --> 00:02:31,620
rose position to come up.
47
00:02:31,640 --> 00:02:33,480
I've been, uh, was at the
48
00:02:33,520 --> 00:02:38,720
through 2022. So after 27
49
00:02:38,760 --> 00:02:41,060
my last 15 were the detec
50
00:02:41,060 --> 00:02:44,380
the military department a
51
00:02:44,420 --> 00:02:46,360
a year, um, had a, had a
52
00:02:46,380 --> 00:02:49,620
sheriff who's, uh, who's
53
00:02:49,660 --> 00:02:53,300
and, uh, and brother for
54
00:02:53,320 --> 00:02:57,340
college. Then he advised
55
00:02:57,360 --> 00:02:59,840
was going back to Ferris
56
00:02:59,860 --> 00:03:03,400
something here from my we
57
00:03:03,440 --> 00:03:05,980
me an opportunity to come
58
00:03:06,000 --> 00:03:09,180
sheriff. And it was somet
59
00:03:09,180 --> 00:03:12,640
was excited about and we'
60
00:03:12,680 --> 00:03:16,040
for a few months and enjo
61
00:03:16,080 --> 00:03:18,120
you're a lot like me, you
62
00:03:18,140 --> 00:03:20,620
You always have meant me
63
00:03:20,640 --> 00:03:23,520
transition. I went from k
64
00:03:23,560 --> 00:03:27,160
on a drug team to being a
65
00:03:27,180 --> 00:03:29,020
and that's a pretty big l
66
00:03:29,060 --> 00:03:32,800
big jump. And uh, it's tu
67
00:03:32,820 --> 00:03:35,700
leadership administrative
68
00:03:35,740 --> 00:03:37,560
tough to make that transi
69
00:03:37,560 --> 00:03:40,900
time. Uh, the action jun
70
00:03:40,920 --> 00:03:42,960
who really learned it and
71
00:03:43,000 --> 00:03:44,500
what the guys and gals ar
72
00:03:44,540 --> 00:03:47,500
it's, I think it's a pret
73
00:03:47,540 --> 00:03:50,740
that. And then, uh, numbe
74
00:03:50,780 --> 00:03:52,680
the sheriff, we call him
75
00:03:52,700 --> 00:03:56,040
the same guy. So you've g
76
00:03:56,080 --> 00:03:58,440
thing kicking in doors, c
77
00:03:58,480 --> 00:04:01,480
and we still, we still ge
78
00:04:01,520 --> 00:04:04,360
it. We're, uh, we get a c
79
00:04:04,380 --> 00:04:06,660
the same way we, we, every
80
00:04:06,660 --> 00:04:09,140
we get in that car. I get
81
00:04:09,180 --> 00:04:11,380
my guys at Ferris not som
82
00:04:11,400 --> 00:04:14,140
bigger incidents. I was,
83
00:04:14,180 --> 00:04:16,140
football game or whatever
84
00:04:16,180 --> 00:04:17,880
uniform and I'm sure they
85
00:04:17,920 --> 00:04:20,180
heads and wondering if I d
86
00:04:20,220 --> 00:04:23,980
to do somewhere. But that'
87
00:04:24,020 --> 00:04:27,720
So Casey career law enfor
88
00:04:27,760 --> 00:04:32,660
detective. And then, um,
89
00:04:32,700 --> 00:04:35,260
we're here not to talk ab
90
00:04:35,260 --> 00:04:37,720
career. We're here to talk
91
00:04:37,760 --> 00:04:40,700
Uh, the Barrett and Firea
92
00:04:40,720 --> 00:04:42,860
What is it? What am I tal
93
00:04:42,900 --> 00:04:47,100
back in 2005, I took a jo
94
00:04:47,140 --> 00:04:49,040
had a, we had a constable
95
00:04:49,060 --> 00:04:51,140
up there. He was, he was
96
00:04:51,180 --> 00:04:53,380
had his own dodge diploma
97
00:04:53,400 --> 00:04:57,380
a fishing pole in the car
98
00:04:57,420 --> 00:04:59,420
passed away. Joel was a g
99
00:04:59,440 --> 00:05:01,620
with our department sherif
100
00:05:01,640 --> 00:05:03,520
in that area. Well, when
101
00:05:03,540 --> 00:05:04,780
council wondered what they
102
00:05:04,780 --> 00:05:08,740
law enforcement, uh, I ta
103
00:05:08,780 --> 00:05:11,120
decided that, uh, startin
104
00:05:11,160 --> 00:05:12,580
up there would be something
105
00:05:12,620 --> 00:05:15,620
So in 2005 I got with the
106
00:05:15,660 --> 00:05:17,420
and started the Barretton
107
00:05:17,460 --> 00:05:19,160
is still running up there
108
00:05:19,200 --> 00:05:23,460
Morgan. And part of that p
109
00:05:23,500 --> 00:05:26,260
of michigan has police dep
110
00:05:26,300 --> 00:05:32,240
um, uh, CPL classes for ci
111
00:05:32,240 --> 00:05:38,240
became one of the 16 state
112
00:05:38,280 --> 00:05:40,140
that I had to come up with
113
00:05:40,180 --> 00:05:42,380
so that we would have a bu
114
00:05:42,420 --> 00:05:45,320
department could go throu
115
00:05:45,340 --> 00:05:48,580
right in the Barretton Con
116
00:05:48,620 --> 00:05:50,620
we've been in business for
117
00:05:50,660 --> 00:05:55,360
now teaching basically civ
118
00:05:55,400 --> 00:05:58,160
the concealed pistol lisan
119
00:05:58,200 --> 00:06:00,360
some advanced course. We'
120
00:06:00,360 --> 00:06:04,320
CPL, the concealed pistol
121
00:06:04,360 --> 00:06:07,400
don't want to say, I'm he
122
00:06:07,440 --> 00:06:09,040
because we have that privl
123
00:06:09,060 --> 00:06:12,100
know it's a constitutioan
124
00:06:12,140 --> 00:06:13,900
don't have to worry about
125
00:06:13,940 --> 00:06:16,740
a privilege. It's a const
126
00:06:16,780 --> 00:06:18,980
the thing most people call
127
00:06:19,020 --> 00:06:21,840
the concealed weapons lis
128
00:06:21,880 --> 00:06:25,780
no weapons permit. Um, it
129
00:06:25,820 --> 00:06:27,880
they changed it to a conce
130
00:06:27,880 --> 00:06:30,320
so it only applies to pi
131
00:06:30,340 --> 00:06:32,380
and Chinese stars and all
132
00:06:32,420 --> 00:06:35,280
it's right on Casey a lit
133
00:06:35,320 --> 00:06:39,320
qualifications. Why should
134
00:06:39,360 --> 00:06:41,900
take this class and think
135
00:06:41,920 --> 00:06:44,760
to do this? We've been in
136
00:06:44,800 --> 00:06:47,700
My, my program goes back
137
00:06:47,740 --> 00:06:50,160
the Macosca Sheriff's Off
138
00:06:50,200 --> 00:06:54,400
locally did that for the
139
00:06:54,440 --> 00:06:56,680
in 2023 actually got sent
140
00:06:56,680 --> 00:06:59,460
of Michigan did the two w
141
00:06:59,480 --> 00:07:00,920
program for the state of
142
00:07:00,960 --> 00:07:03,520
me to be the state instru
143
00:07:03,560 --> 00:07:05,800
thing that we've done and
144
00:07:05,840 --> 00:07:09,440
is, is we've changed it t
145
00:07:09,460 --> 00:07:11,600
This is a safety class. P
146
00:07:11,640 --> 00:07:13,680
when you come in, this is
147
00:07:13,700 --> 00:07:17,280
that don't have their pist
148
00:07:17,300 --> 00:07:20,040
been shooting for 25 years
149
00:07:20,080 --> 00:07:22,920
that we take is just year
150
00:07:22,940 --> 00:07:25,980
100 years of instruction
151
00:07:25,980 --> 00:07:28,140
lots of time with those g
152
00:07:28,180 --> 00:07:32,180
the updated programs that
153
00:07:32,220 --> 00:07:34,880
somebody that just hasn't
154
00:07:34,920 --> 00:07:37,380
to somebody that's had on
155
00:07:37,420 --> 00:07:40,220
Right, right. So plenty o
156
00:07:40,260 --> 00:07:42,720
and that's pretty importan
157
00:07:42,760 --> 00:07:44,900
especially if you're a po
158
00:07:44,920 --> 00:07:47,660
instructor, you're respons
159
00:07:47,700 --> 00:07:51,400
people at a pretty high l
160
00:07:51,440 --> 00:07:53,840
fundamentals and qualifi
161
00:07:53,840 --> 00:07:56,260
type training and ongoing
162
00:07:56,300 --> 00:07:59,540
training. So it's a prett
163
00:07:59,580 --> 00:08:03,440
good foundation. Um, so b
164
00:08:03,480 --> 00:08:05,380
your instructors. We know
165
00:08:05,400 --> 00:08:08,020
experience. Tell us brief
166
00:08:08,040 --> 00:08:11,920
Uh, I've worked with one
167
00:08:11,940 --> 00:08:14,480
is Cal Charney's retired
168
00:08:14,520 --> 00:08:16,380
been with my program. We
169
00:08:16,420 --> 00:08:18,620
with the police corps bac
170
00:08:18,660 --> 00:08:22,700
a long time ago. Uh, he w
171
00:08:22,700 --> 00:08:25,240
and he's been with our p
172
00:08:25,280 --> 00:08:28,240
our CPL two program. He's
173
00:08:28,280 --> 00:08:32,520
kind of guy where we've g
174
00:08:32,560 --> 00:08:34,680
carries your smaller guns
175
00:08:34,720 --> 00:08:37,120
he brings in that whole t
176
00:08:37,160 --> 00:08:40,500
So we've been doing those
177
00:08:40,520 --> 00:08:44,500
last 16 together. I've go
178
00:08:44,520 --> 00:08:47,460
He's also our R. And D. G
179
00:08:47,500 --> 00:08:49,560
carries everything that's
180
00:08:49,600 --> 00:08:51,400
got to carry it. Tell us
181
00:08:51,400 --> 00:08:53,900
where's how everything. I
182
00:08:53,940 --> 00:08:57,240
guy that keeps everything
183
00:08:57,260 --> 00:09:00,300
look, uh, updated and tho
184
00:09:00,340 --> 00:09:04,040
had years or our crew, ou
185
00:09:04,080 --> 00:09:06,640
newest person is probably
186
00:09:06,680 --> 00:09:10,880
else is the full 16. It s
187
00:09:10,920 --> 00:09:12,680
wide range. And one of th
188
00:09:12,720 --> 00:09:16,160
being a fireman instructor
189
00:09:16,180 --> 00:09:18,320
the training, getting a g

00:09:18,320 --> 00:09:21,520
if you don't know what to
191
00:09:21,560 --> 00:09:24,620
carry it, you're going to
192
00:09:24,660 --> 00:09:26,720
if you need it in an emer
193
00:09:26,760 --> 00:09:29,720
very helpful if that's at
194
00:09:29,760 --> 00:09:31,700
or something because many
195
00:09:31,720 --> 00:09:33,700
get a certain type of hol
196
00:09:33,740 --> 00:09:36,740
carry and find out this i
197
00:09:36,760 --> 00:09:39,940
This is awkward. This is
198
00:09:39,960 --> 00:09:41,680
wrestle with someone, I c
199
00:09:41,700 --> 00:09:44,700
sounds like you folks hav
200
00:09:44,740 --> 00:09:46,940
beyond just this is, this
201
00:09:46,940 --> 00:09:49,380
do to hit a target. You h
202
00:09:49,400 --> 00:09:52,380
That's correct. We have a
203
00:09:52,400 --> 00:09:54,840
which is the next room ov
204
00:09:54,880 --> 00:09:57,120
of our training center. W
205
00:09:57,140 --> 00:09:59,780
gun store at FFL, which i
206
00:09:59,820 --> 00:10:03,020
license. Uh, we sell ever
207
00:10:03,060 --> 00:10:06,460
ammo, uh, two holsters a
208
00:10:06,500 --> 00:10:10,800
from purses to uh, in the
209
00:10:10,820 --> 00:10:14,960
ankle holsters. Uh, our b
210
00:10:14,960 --> 00:10:17,800
to our class is we want y
211
00:10:17,820 --> 00:10:19,660
because I want you to car
212
00:10:19,700 --> 00:10:21,140
you carry your house. I w
213
00:10:21,160 --> 00:10:22,660
to carry it on the street
214
00:10:22,700 --> 00:10:24,540
everywhere you can carry
215
00:10:24,560 --> 00:10:26,240
have to be comfortable co
216
00:10:26,280 --> 00:10:28,380
way of carries comfortable
217
00:10:28,400 --> 00:10:30,240
comfortable how much it c
218
00:10:30,280 --> 00:10:33,080
the ammo cost. And if tha
219
00:10:33,120 --> 00:10:35,520
accurate with it, then th
220
00:10:35,540 --> 00:10:38,180
it's a 44 magnum, well th
221
00:10:38,220 --> 00:10:39,780
that your gun, but it's c
222
00:10:39,820 --> 00:10:41,760
to be like their phone. I
223
00:10:41,780 --> 00:10:44,760
weird without it when the
224
00:10:44,760 --> 00:10:46,240
they don't have it on the
225
00:10:46,280 --> 00:10:48,880
different. And I wanted t
226
00:10:48,900 --> 00:10:51,480
that they're uncomfortable
227
00:10:51,520 --> 00:10:55,120
an old saying that a hit
228
00:10:55,140 --> 00:10:57,880
better than a missile at
229
00:10:57,920 --> 00:11:00,580
carrying something you ca
230
00:11:00,620 --> 00:11:02,380
with or you're not comfor
231
00:11:02,420 --> 00:11:04,020
not going to hit something
232
00:11:04,060 --> 00:11:06,520
to carry it. So something
233
00:11:06,560 --> 00:11:09,200
better than nothing. And
234
00:11:09,220 --> 00:11:11,320
point a gun at a bad guy.
235
00:11:11,360 --> 00:11:12,760
on the street, pulls on th
236
00:11:12,760 --> 00:11:15,060
all your money or I'll ki
237
00:11:15,100 --> 00:11:16,720
for your weapon, you poin
238
00:11:16,760 --> 00:11:18,660
not going to stare at tha
239
00:11:18,700 --> 00:11:21,060
just a noise going to tak
240
00:11:21,100 --> 00:11:22,800
to the next person becaus
241
00:11:22,840 --> 00:11:25,740
a soft target and uh, we'
242
00:11:25,760 --> 00:11:27,400
just presenting it alone
243
00:11:27,440 --> 00:11:29,480
harder target. And we in
244
00:11:29,500 --> 00:11:33,180
the dynamics if you ever
245
00:11:33,200 --> 00:11:35,420
is that the barrel is thi
246
00:11:35,440 --> 00:11:37,820
it the size of a dinner p
247
00:11:37,840 --> 00:11:40,080
exaggerated how big the b
248
00:11:40,120 --> 00:11:42,480
100% right. The bad guy'
249
00:11:42,480 --> 00:11:44,940
like a 22 caliber. It's p
250
00:11:44,980 --> 00:11:48,180
40 grain bullet going 1200
251
00:11:48,220 --> 00:11:50,260
I have a heavy coat on. I
252
00:11:50,280 --> 00:11:51,960
really gonna hurt that do
253
00:11:51,980 --> 00:11:54,460
it doesn't happen. And ag
254
00:11:54,500 --> 00:11:56,500
they don't want to work.
255
00:11:56,520 --> 00:11:58,860
have a hard time stealing
256
00:11:58,900 --> 00:12:01,140
they want to work, they'd
257
00:12:01,160 --> 00:12:04,340
a good point. So Casey, y
258
00:12:04,360 --> 00:12:06,100
know, you're an advocate
259
00:12:06,140 --> 00:12:08,100
roles. You have your prof
260
00:12:08,140 --> 00:12:12,180
under sheriff and former
261
00:12:12,180 --> 00:12:15,120
this personal business. Bu
262
00:12:15,160 --> 00:12:18,360
bit about how your filosv
263
00:12:18,400 --> 00:12:20,600
know, when I was the chee
264
00:12:20,620 --> 00:12:23,300
get people at the univers
265
00:12:23,340 --> 00:12:26,940
gentle, you know, uh, atm
266
00:12:26,960 --> 00:12:29,340
me about my opinion on th
267
00:12:29,380 --> 00:12:32,380
concealed carry. And I've
268
00:12:32,400 --> 00:12:35,380
advocate and there's a pe
269
00:12:35,400 --> 00:12:37,220
chiefs, police officers,
270
00:12:37,240 --> 00:12:39,720
chiefs are like death on
271
00:12:39,720 --> 00:12:43,140
handguns. Um, uh, you kno
272
00:12:43,160 --> 00:12:45,500
What? What? Tell us about
273
00:12:45,540 --> 00:12:48,440
there in our class when y
274
00:12:48,480 --> 00:12:50,280
it, there's a video progr
275
00:12:50,300 --> 00:12:54,340
about carrying in public
276
00:12:54,380 --> 00:12:57,740
speakers on that video is
277
00:12:57,780 --> 00:12:59,920
is Chief Craig from Detro
278
00:12:59,940 --> 00:13:02,860
Craig. What a leader. Gr
279
00:13:02,880 --> 00:13:04,480
bit screwed on that govern
280
00:13:04,520 --> 00:13:06,920
running for senator. See
281
00:13:06,920 --> 00:13:09,880
that box. This guy, but h
282
00:13:09,920 --> 00:13:12,420
that video and he says th
283
00:13:12,460 --> 00:13:14,560
armed citizens more than
284
00:13:14,600 --> 00:13:18,120
police. And it's 100% tru
285
00:13:18,160 --> 00:13:20,800
know, you and I are const
286
00:13:20,840 --> 00:13:23,360
bit differently, more so
287
00:13:23,400 --> 00:13:27,200
more so than the public.
288
00:13:27,240 --> 00:13:29,280
to be carried in some math
289
00:13:29,300 --> 00:13:31,080
understand that no matter
290
00:13:31,100 --> 00:13:33,080
gonna have them, they're
291
00:13:33,100 --> 00:13:35,840
because that's what they
292
00:13:35,840 --> 00:13:39,180
tell people. If everybody
293
00:13:39,200 --> 00:13:41,880
to be easier because bad
294
00:13:41,920 --> 00:13:44,120
want to do anything becau
295
00:13:44,140 --> 00:13:46,420
one of these 30 people th
296
00:13:46,440 --> 00:13:48,360
carry. It's a numbers game
297
00:13:48,380 --> 00:13:50,680
any more than you do. But
298
00:13:50,720 --> 00:13:53,220
if we outnumber them, we
299
00:13:53,260 --> 00:13:54,720
the only way to do it is
300
00:13:54,760 --> 00:13:58,200
trade, uh, get safe with
301
00:13:58,220 --> 00:14:00,300
are a much harder target
302
00:14:00,340 --> 00:14:03,760
somebody else. Absolutely
303
00:14:03,760 --> 00:14:08,540
as the michigan law develo
304
00:14:08,560 --> 00:14:10,840
careful to talk about pri
305
00:14:10,860 --> 00:14:13,040
It's been all right. But
306
00:14:13,060 --> 00:14:15,680
that concern even from so
307
00:14:15,700 --> 00:14:19,840
uh, uh, increasing the num
308
00:14:19,880 --> 00:14:22,520
weapons in the hands of s
309
00:14:22,540 --> 00:14:25,320
lead to a drastic increase
310
00:14:25,340 --> 00:14:28,680
a drastic increase in ov
311
00:14:28,720 --> 00:14:31,960
getting involved where no
312
00:14:31,960 --> 00:14:35,300
walk away or try to deesca
313
00:14:35,340 --> 00:14:38,980
and my experience at leas
314
00:14:39,000 --> 00:14:42,140
I'm sure research would w
315
00:14:42,180 --> 00:14:44,220
is just the opposite happ
316
00:14:44,240 --> 00:14:48,320
has been that people who
317
00:14:48,360 --> 00:14:51,960
are so hypersensitive to
318
00:14:51,980 --> 00:14:54,120
suddenly, they don't want
319
00:14:54,160 --> 00:14:56,420
to lose it because there
320
00:14:56,460 --> 00:14:58,700
commit certain crimes and
321
00:14:58,720 --> 00:15:00,660
where you're not supposed
322
00:15:00,660 --> 00:15:03,220
of people who started dr
323
00:15:03,260 --> 00:15:07,760
who started uh, uh, follow
324
00:15:07,800 --> 00:15:10,560
laws closer because some
325
00:15:10,600 --> 00:15:14,040
They really became um rea
326
00:15:14,060 --> 00:15:16,880
about their behavior beca
327
00:15:16,900 --> 00:15:19,100
want to lose the ability
328
00:15:19,140 --> 00:15:21,840
seen that? That and the f
329
00:15:21,880 --> 00:15:24,740
statistics show that in a
330
00:15:24,780 --> 00:15:27,520
people with weapons carry
331
00:15:27,540 --> 00:15:30,460
crime rate is down. It sh
332
00:15:30,460 --> 00:15:33,140
to take away when you come
333
00:15:33,160 --> 00:15:35,540
if you took away the four
334
00:15:35,560 --> 00:15:38,780
We rank like number 28 in
335
00:15:38,800 --> 00:15:42,080
like that. So it's it's t
336
00:15:42,100 --> 00:15:44,540
how dangerous they are tha
337
00:15:44,580 --> 00:15:46,820
get trained and that's the
338
00:15:46,840 --> 00:15:49,980
just go out and buy one.
339
00:15:50,020 --> 00:15:51,620
it's the training. It's l
340
00:15:51,660 --> 00:15:53,160
taking drivers training ag
341
00:15:53,180 --> 00:15:55,860
crash in the neighbor's ma
342
00:15:55,880 --> 00:15:58,060
that you get gives you th
343
00:15:58,060 --> 00:16:01,260
they work, how to be safe
344
00:16:01,280 --> 00:16:04,320
easy to work, easy to, eas
345
00:16:04,360 --> 00:16:06,600
all their safety steps wi
346
00:16:06,620 --> 00:16:08,260
you have that when you ca
347
00:16:08,300 --> 00:16:10,660
you're going to make bett
348
00:16:10,700 --> 00:16:12,700
be safer with them and th
349
00:16:12,740 --> 00:16:15,060
not going to have those i
350
00:16:15,100 --> 00:16:16,800
is everything. We're going
351
00:16:16,840 --> 00:16:19,700
ongoing training. You kno
352
00:16:19,740 --> 00:16:23,980
sometimes is if I took th
353
00:16:24,020 --> 00:16:26,240
Doc holiday. Now I'm a nav
354
00:16:26,240 --> 00:16:28,180
I took a one day class an
355
00:16:28,200 --> 00:16:30,880
class. We're going to tal
356
00:16:30,920 --> 00:16:34,480
told people if you think
357
00:16:34,520 --> 00:16:36,480
TV shows are taking the c
358
00:16:36,520 --> 00:16:39,980
now a gunfighter, you're
359
00:16:40,020 --> 00:16:42,560
and taking the trigger or
360
00:16:42,580 --> 00:16:44,620
trigger on a human being
361
00:16:44,660 --> 00:16:46,860
a big deal and you don't
362
00:16:46,900 --> 00:16:50,160
to act until you know, unt
363
00:16:50,200 --> 00:16:53,200
World War Two, they disco
364
00:16:53,200 --> 00:16:58,340
about 15% of the soldiers
365
00:16:58,360 --> 00:17:01,840
rifles at the enemy when
366
00:17:01,860 --> 00:17:05,000
of them pulled them up of
367
00:17:05,040 --> 00:17:07,700
what were we all raised w
368
00:17:07,740 --> 00:17:10,080
kill. So you take all the
369
00:17:10,120 --> 00:17:12,820
pull him off the farm, put
370
00:17:12,840 --> 00:17:15,080
and what they had done is
371
00:17:15,120 --> 00:17:19,920
shooting at bullseyes. I
372
00:17:19,920 --> 00:17:23,120
Lieutenant Colonel Gross
373
00:17:23,160 --> 00:17:25,320
this study and eventually
374
00:17:25,360 --> 00:17:27,820
law enforcement, they sta
375
00:17:27,860 --> 00:17:31,120
to human silhouette target
376
00:17:31,160 --> 00:17:33,900
enforcement, we use actua
377
00:17:33,920 --> 00:17:36,440
because we're unfortunat
378
00:17:36,460 --> 00:17:40,340
people where it's unnatural
379
00:17:40,360 --> 00:17:44,080
to take another human lik
380
00:17:44,100 --> 00:17:46,280
and natural for some peopl
381
00:17:46,280 --> 00:17:50,260
it isn't. So uh you know,
382
00:17:50,300 --> 00:17:52,600
a little bit about how imp
383
00:17:52,620 --> 00:17:55,260
training is, but how impo
384
00:17:55,300 --> 00:17:59,160
is when we separate ourse
385
00:17:59,200 --> 00:18:02,000
the day, it's an eight ho
386
00:18:02,040 --> 00:18:05,700
hour class. Everyone's su
387
00:18:05,740 --> 00:18:07,480
they're doing. And that's
388
00:18:07,500 --> 00:18:09,780
we've got everything from
389
00:18:09,820 --> 00:18:12,240
commercial training. I te
390
00:18:12,280 --> 00:18:15,420
your weapon out and set i
391
00:18:15,420 --> 00:18:17,900
no ammo around it, start
392
00:18:17,940 --> 00:18:19,660
when the commercial comes
393
00:18:19,700 --> 00:18:22,000
your steps again and see
394
00:18:22,040 --> 00:18:23,740
get through the five step
395
00:18:23,780 --> 00:18:26,300
steps of the semi automat
396
00:18:26,340 --> 00:18:28,840
get done. And that's just
397
00:18:28,880 --> 00:18:31,580
them, keep their hands do
398
00:18:31,620 --> 00:18:33,920
the weapon, how to load i
399
00:18:33,940 --> 00:18:35,780
that it's safe. All those
400
00:18:35,820 --> 00:18:38,560
that without even having a
401
00:18:38,580 --> 00:18:42,260
Um but the ongoing traini
402
00:18:42,300 --> 00:18:44,460
you get confident with th
403
00:18:44,460 --> 00:18:47,380
of our first class. We go

up to date on the pet bout
567
00:27:04,220 --> 00:27:10,460
call for an appointment 23
568
00:27:10,500 --> 00:27:22,540
The pet boutique in Big R
569
00:27:22,560 --> 00:27:28,580
listening to WBZX Big Rap
570
00:27:28,600 --> 00:27:32,580
The Big Rapids buzz. I'm
571
00:27:32,580 --> 00:27:35,460
we have with us here today
572
00:27:35,500 --> 00:27:38,560
next monday at eight. That
573
00:27:38,600 --> 00:27:42,340
over again. You're good. N
574
00:27:42,360 --> 00:27:45,040
with us this morning. Casey
575
00:27:45,060 --> 00:27:47,940
brings a world of experien
576
00:27:47,980 --> 00:27:52,980
to his business as the Be
577
00:27:53,000 --> 00:27:56,080
firearms training center
578
00:27:56,120 --> 00:27:58,040
again, we could talk for
579
00:27:58,080 --> 00:28:00,780
topic. We're gonna race t
580
00:28:00,780 --> 00:28:06,420
us about our new shooters
581
00:28:06,440 --> 00:28:08,580
you know, statistically we
582
00:28:08,620 --> 00:28:11,460
when men shoot and do thi
583
00:28:11,480 --> 00:28:14,020
New shooters, women, peopl
584
00:28:14,060 --> 00:28:18,500
be anxious and maybe not,
585
00:28:18,520 --> 00:28:22,860
is really for them. Tell
586
00:28:22,900 --> 00:28:24,460
of people you haven't, wha
587
00:28:24,500 --> 00:28:27,260
everyone feel welcome. We
588
00:28:27,300 --> 00:28:29,740
we've noticed a choptrend
589
00:28:29,740 --> 00:28:33,160
taking the class and the
590
00:28:33,200 --> 00:28:36,640
push it every class is st
591
00:28:36,680 --> 00:28:39,440
bad guys pick females mor
592
00:28:39,480 --> 00:28:42,780
to be a victim. So this c
593
00:28:42,820 --> 00:28:46,180
based around protecting v
594
00:28:46,220 --> 00:28:48,660
to be trying to be a hard
595
00:28:48,680 --> 00:28:52,360
we've done is we tell peo
596
00:28:52,380 --> 00:28:54,360
don't buy a gun before yo
597
00:28:54,380 --> 00:28:57,720
Don't don't get the, you
598
00:28:57,720 --> 00:28:59,860
hand me down or the one t
599
00:28:59,880 --> 00:29:01,820
you buy. And sometimes an
600
00:29:01,860 --> 00:29:03,960
but sometimes husbands wil
601
00:29:04,000 --> 00:29:06,300
a female or their wife or
602
00:29:06,320 --> 00:29:09,600
something they kind of li
603
00:29:09,640 --> 00:29:11,740
it should work for her. A
604
00:29:11,760 --> 00:29:14,040
quite fit her hands. So w
605
00:29:14,060 --> 00:29:17,400
like a custom shop when y
606
00:29:17,440 --> 00:29:19,340
get a sheet of paper that
607
00:29:19,380 --> 00:29:22,880
80 training guns that we
608
00:29:22,920 --> 00:29:24,920
is right next door so tha
609
00:29:24,940 --> 00:29:27,280
80 some training guns, yo
610
00:29:27,280 --> 00:29:29,780
for sale guns and we take
611
00:29:29,820 --> 00:29:32,420
and we basically get gun
612
00:29:32,440 --> 00:29:36,360
or anybody's hands and we
613
00:29:36,380 --> 00:29:38,480
the next and whether it's
614
00:29:38,520 --> 00:29:42,320
semi automatic. We've got
615
00:29:42,360 --> 00:29:44,100
different safeties. If th
616
00:29:44,120 --> 00:29:47,160
don't have a safety, if t
617
00:29:47,200 --> 00:29:49,440
releases, we've got hammer
618
00:29:49,460 --> 00:29:51,800
got basically it's like c
619
00:29:51,840 --> 00:29:54,740
you want a certain car tha
620
00:29:54,780 --> 00:29:56,680
and whistles, we've got hi
621
00:29:56,680 --> 00:29:58,820
that's going to fit your
622
00:29:58,860 --> 00:30:03,400
got that too. So it's a c
623
00:30:03,420 --> 00:30:06,300
for anybody taking the gla
624
00:30:06,340 --> 00:30:09,440
that's for females. They
625
00:30:09,460 --> 00:30:10,960
like that smaller grip be
626
00:30:11,000 --> 00:30:13,900
in a different spot or th
627
00:30:13,940 --> 00:30:15,680
me, I said, we'll get a c
628
00:30:15,700 --> 00:30:17,680
a range gun that's nice a
629
00:30:17,700 --> 00:30:19,340
have fun and you can have
630
00:30:19,380 --> 00:30:21,640
that fits where you can h
631
00:30:21,680 --> 00:30:23,880
that's one thing for ours
632
00:30:23,920 --> 00:30:26,180
all inclusive course. That
633
00:30:26,180 --> 00:30:28,240
show up with a photo id a
634
00:30:28,280 --> 00:30:31,580
of everything that that i
635
00:30:31,620 --> 00:30:34,460
I'll tell the listeners,
636
00:30:34,480 --> 00:30:37,380
Now, my wife is not a hun
637
00:30:37,420 --> 00:30:38,660
shooter. She's always be
638
00:30:38,680 --> 00:30:40,820
She's a constitutionalist
639
00:30:40,860 --> 00:30:42,700
right. It's just nothing
640
00:30:42,720 --> 00:30:44,900
to do. And and I encourag
641
00:30:44,920 --> 00:30:47,860
class and uh I sat in on
642
00:30:47,900 --> 00:30:50,600
you may not realize this
643
00:30:50,640 --> 00:30:53,100
doing it or maybe it's ve
644
00:30:53,140 --> 00:30:56,080
research. But you told th
645
00:30:56,080 --> 00:30:58,660
to take the class and I'm
646
00:30:58,680 --> 00:31:00,760
I mentioned, I'm a former
647
00:31:00,800 --> 00:31:03,000
a teacher. That's what I
648
00:31:03,020 --> 00:31:05,660
in the middle elementary
649
00:31:05,700 --> 00:31:09,560
school and that in college
650
00:31:09,600 --> 00:31:11,400
everyone in there and you
651
00:31:11,440 --> 00:31:13,440
apprehension and nervosne
652
00:31:13,480 --> 00:31:15,640
from some of the females
653
00:31:15,680 --> 00:31:17,740
them and told him every o
654
00:31:17,780 --> 00:31:21,280
to pass this class. Now t
655
00:31:21,320 --> 00:31:23,740
important if there are an
656
00:31:23,740 --> 00:31:26,540
out there who need a tune
657
00:31:26,580 --> 00:31:29,020
into education, there may
658
00:31:29,040 --> 00:31:32,020
as important as making pe
659
00:31:32,040 --> 00:31:34,380
they're going to be succes
660
00:31:34,420 --> 00:31:36,520
when you did that, I sat
661
00:31:36,560 --> 00:31:38,860
and me was like, oh my go
662
00:31:38,880 --> 00:31:42,460
realize how powerful that
663
00:31:42,500 --> 00:31:44,300
are apprehensive, they're
664
00:31:44,320 --> 00:31:46,360
nervous, they don't want
665
00:31:46,400 --> 00:31:48,860
of their peers. Women cer
666
00:31:48,900 --> 00:31:50,460
to come in, would never s
667
00:31:50,460 --> 00:31:54,260
have, you know, guys see
668
00:31:54,300 --> 00:31:56,240
I don't know if you remem
669
00:31:56,260 --> 00:31:58,640
it was brilliant and you
670
00:31:58,660 --> 00:32:01,740
like shoulder sag and peo
671
00:32:01,780 --> 00:32:04,900
this is uh this is good.
672
00:32:04,940 --> 00:32:08,620
biggest uh uh fan uh for
673
00:32:08,640 --> 00:32:12,820
and there's another young
674
00:32:12,840 --> 00:32:15,420
probably uh also make tha
675
00:32:15,460 --> 00:32:17,660
I can and I can tell you
676
00:32:17,660 --> 00:32:20,640
in my class too. He said,
677
00:32:20,680 --> 00:32:23,380
and you know, I'm thinkin
678
00:32:23,400 --> 00:32:24,980
I've got a lot of friends
679
00:32:25,020 --> 00:32:27,780
they carry and and I'm li
680
00:32:27,820 --> 00:32:30,180
done this. I want to do t
681
00:32:30,220 --> 00:32:32,820
know anything about it. A
682
00:32:32,860 --> 00:32:35,080
okay, this this guy knows
683
00:32:35,120 --> 00:32:37,860
he and they take the time
684
00:32:37,880 --> 00:32:40,220
we went around the table
685
00:32:40,260 --> 00:32:44,100
were you know disarming
686
00:32:44,120 --> 00:32:46,260
you were showing us okay
687
00:32:46,260 --> 00:32:49,820
a rock and roll hand and
688
00:32:49,860 --> 00:32:52,700
on me and I was like, oh
689
00:32:52,740 --> 00:32:55,560
now what and they walked
690
00:32:55,600 --> 00:32:57,240
walked right over, he's l
691
00:32:57,260 --> 00:32:59,840
to watch this and do it a
692
00:32:59,880 --> 00:33:02,500
and yeah, I love the fact
693
00:33:02,540 --> 00:33:04,740
practice, practice, pract
694
00:33:04,780 --> 00:33:06,740
keep doing it, feel comf
695
00:33:06,780 --> 00:33:08,820
what I loved about it so
696
00:33:08,840 --> 00:33:11,080
become muscle memory. I w
697
00:33:11,120 --> 00:33:14,560
class. You really should.
698
00:33:14,560 --> 00:33:17,260
emphasize this for the C
699
00:33:17,300 --> 00:33:19,140
if you've just had the ba
700
00:33:19,180 --> 00:33:21,780
please, please, please si
701
00:33:21,800 --> 00:33:24,240
classes. It's ongoing lea
702
00:33:24,280 --> 00:33:26,840
so important because I'm
703
00:33:26,880 --> 00:33:28,740
because you take the eight
704
00:33:28,780 --> 00:33:30,280
class and get your licenc
705
00:33:30,320 --> 00:33:33,380
mean you're a gunfighter
706
00:33:33,420 --> 00:33:36,080
and we know in law enforc
707
00:33:36,120 --> 00:33:38,160
talk about that gun malfu
708
00:33:38,180 --> 00:33:41,520
training, we set that up
709
00:33:41,560 --> 00:33:44,360
malfunctions because under
710
00:33:44,360 --> 00:33:46,760
revert to training and we
711
00:33:46,800 --> 00:33:49,800
to so quickly without thin
712
00:33:49,820 --> 00:33:52,860
tap, rack, bang, whatever
713
00:33:52,900 --> 00:33:55,000
goodness this happened. I
714
00:33:55,040 --> 00:33:57,200
to do because a bad guy m
715
00:33:57,240 --> 00:34:00,880
So uh it's I can't I don'
716
00:34:00,900 --> 00:34:03,280
Casey. I'm not working on
717
00:34:03,300 --> 00:34:05,540
I'm telling you, uh you o
718
00:34:05,580 --> 00:34:07,720
your family and to the pu
719
00:34:07,740 --> 00:34:10,720
training. So um so someon
720
00:34:10,740 --> 00:34:13,280
up with a gun. No, ours i
721
00:34:13,280 --> 00:34:16,180
uh we always say that it'
722
00:34:16,220 --> 00:34:19,320
If you have a photo id uh
723
00:34:19,360 --> 00:34:21,880
old, you gotta be 21 to t
724
00:34:21,920 --> 00:34:23,360
certificate you get for t
725
00:34:23,380 --> 00:34:25,960
for five years. So if you
726
00:34:26,000 --> 00:34:28,800
took my youngest took it
727
00:34:28,820 --> 00:34:31,500
it again at 21. Um but sh
728
00:34:31,520 --> 00:34:33,700
a lot of times people tak
729
00:34:33,740 --> 00:34:35,560
so they when they turn 20
730
00:34:35,600 --> 00:34:37,400
So all you need is your f
731
00:34:37,440 --> 00:34:40,000
have everything. The coffe
732
00:34:40,040 --> 00:34:42,300
and donuts in the morning
733
00:34:42,300 --> 00:34:44,940
the paperwork for the co
734
00:34:44,960 --> 00:34:47,600
You've got your pizza and
735
00:34:47,640 --> 00:34:50,580
all the guns, all the amm
736
00:34:50,600 --> 00:34:52,740
all the ear protection. Y
737
00:34:52,780 --> 00:34:54,180
bring you. I always tell
738
00:34:54,220 --> 00:34:56,080
whatever you want, but yo
739
00:34:56,120 --> 00:34:58,920
anything. And uh and I th
740
00:34:58,940 --> 00:35:01,620
much easier for people be
741
00:35:01,660 --> 00:35:04,020
that we have, you can't j
742
00:35:04,060 --> 00:35:06,460
place and pick up 80 gun
743
00:35:06,500 --> 00:35:08,900
in michigan that has this
744
00:35:08,920 --> 00:35:10,960
the Midwest that has this
745
00:35:10,960 --> 00:35:13,760
you can actually put your
746
00:35:13,800 --> 00:35:17,560
be trained by six instruct
747
00:35:17,600 --> 00:35:19,860
Jen said we have a female
748
00:35:19,900 --> 00:35:21,600
she's been, she's been th
749
00:35:21,640 --> 00:35:23,660
She's our dual role. We a
750
00:35:23,700 --> 00:35:26,700
a doctor and she's uh she
751
00:35:26,740 --> 00:35:29,480
we uh as soon as I found
752
00:35:29,500 --> 00:35:31,840
and I said, hey, I'd love
753
00:35:31,880 --> 00:35:35,480
uh not some, you know, if
754
00:35:35,520 --> 00:35:37,920
be a medic or medical on
755
00:35:37,940 --> 00:35:39,760
took her, she loved the c
756
00:35:39,760 --> 00:35:41,900
how about, you know, how
757
00:35:41,940 --> 00:35:43,340
some more about the pisto
758
00:35:43,360 --> 00:35:45,640
right through and we put
759
00:35:45,660 --> 00:35:47,900
now she's one of our inst
760
00:35:47,940 --> 00:35:52,080
good to have that female
761
00:35:52,100 --> 00:35:53,940
like, and I always say, h
762
00:35:53,980 --> 00:35:55,720
if you got a female male
763
00:35:55,740 --> 00:35:58,120
band, you can sing anythi
764
00:35:58,140 --> 00:36:00,280
and that's the way with w
765
00:36:00,320 --> 00:36:03,280
we're able to train anybody
766
00:36:03,320 --> 00:36:05,760
my experience as a traine
767
00:36:05,780 --> 00:36:08,560
is uh there's no inheren
768
00:36:08,560 --> 00:36:11,460
a male shooting a handgun
769
00:36:11,480 --> 00:36:14,220
accuracy. It's it's whoe
770
00:36:14,260 --> 00:36:16,760
and training in and I've
771
00:36:16,800 --> 00:36:19,600
female officers that were
772
00:36:19,620 --> 00:36:21,760
some weren't in the ones
773
00:36:21,800 --> 00:36:24,000
not to like to shoot and
774
00:36:24,040 --> 00:36:28,040
in, but there's no inher
775
00:36:28,080 --> 00:36:30,280
to being proficient with
776
00:36:30,300 --> 00:36:32,540
I love it when we get a l
777
00:36:32,580 --> 00:36:34,920
a great couple's gift. I
778
00:36:34,940 --> 00:36:37,120
about what have we done a
779
00:36:37,120 --> 00:36:39,600
look at, grab it, go onl
780
00:36:39,640 --> 00:36:42,340
come take the class toget
781
00:36:42,360 --> 00:36:45,940
it because probably 75% o
782
00:36:45,960 --> 00:36:48,700
shoot better than the ma
783
00:36:48,740 --> 00:36:51,400
love rubbing it in. Tell
784
00:36:51,440 --> 00:36:53,740
we have this probably hav
785
00:36:53,780 --> 00:36:56,480
got gentlemen that have b
786
00:36:56,520 --> 00:36:59,180
way for so long. They hav
787
00:36:59,220 --> 00:37:01,880
habits, bad habits. Yes,
788
00:37:01,920 --> 00:37:03,860
habits and usually the pe
789
00:37:03,880 --> 00:37:05,960
know much about the handg
790
00:37:05,960 --> 00:37:08,940
going to learn or he's go
791
00:37:08,980 --> 00:37:10,400
off the bat, the easiest
792
00:37:10,440 --> 00:37:12,680
do it and they don't have
793
00:37:12,700 --> 00:37:15,780
So 100% Yep. And uh she'
794
00:37:15,820 --> 00:37:18,120
love that. I like everybo
795
00:37:18,140 --> 00:37:21,380
of course, but it's alway
796
00:37:21,420 --> 00:37:23,380
that didn't think when th
797
00:37:23,420 --> 00:37:25,420
I was going to be able to
798
00:37:25,460 --> 00:37:28,120
go from frown in the morn
799
00:37:28,160 --> 00:37:30,820
in the afternoon. Absolu
800
00:37:30,860 --> 00:37:33,900
so much easier to train a
801
00:37:33,900 --> 00:37:36,280
to untrain a bad habit, b
802
00:37:36,320 --> 00:37:39,340
brutal with handgun or wi
803
00:37:39,380 --> 00:37:41,380
you these guys, some of h
804
00:37:41,420 --> 00:37:44,720
20, 30, 40 years with bad
805
00:37:44,760 --> 00:37:46,560
really hard to undo. We n
806
00:37:46,580 --> 00:37:49,020
police officers. A lot of
807
00:37:49,060 --> 00:37:51,120
have done a lot of, you k
808
00:37:51,160 --> 00:37:53,360
They've done a lot of pra
809
00:37:53,400 --> 00:37:57,660
they've already have bad
810
00:37:57,700 --> 00:38:01,540
So what happens at a clas
811
00:38:01,540 --> 00:38:03,920
people, you know, well, f
812
00:38:03,960 --> 00:38:06,160
How do they sign up? Let'
813
00:38:06,180 --> 00:38:08,160
How does a person sign up
814
00:38:08,180 --> 00:38:09,960
for us. We've got two way
815
00:38:10,000 --> 00:38:12,760
us. Actually three. You c
816
00:38:12,800 --> 00:38:16,300
at the at the training ce
817
00:38:16,340 --> 00:38:19,960
We actually have a websit
818
00:38:20,000 --> 00:38:22,600
Michigan CPL training dot
819
00:38:22,640 --> 00:38:26,000
one michigan CPL provider
820
00:38:26,040 --> 00:38:28,340
michigan CPL training dot
821
00:38:28,380 --> 00:38:29,920
gives a back history of e
822
00:38:29,920 --> 00:38:31,700
going to do. We go over t
823
00:38:31,720 --> 00:38:34,600
there and then you know,
824
00:38:34,620 --> 00:38:36,300
is right there and you hi
825
00:38:36,340 --> 00:38:38,560
you can do it online, you
826
00:38:38,600 --> 00:38:40,440
get everything through em
827
00:38:40,460 --> 00:38:43,040
give you a date to come.
828
00:38:43,080 --> 00:38:45,980
links to watch. You get a
829
00:38:46,000 --> 00:38:47,840
going to be able to look
830
00:38:47,880 --> 00:38:50,240
going to do that day. Uh,
831
00:38:50,280 --> 00:38:52,280
packet right before you'r
832
00:38:52,320 --> 00:38:55,480
takes a lot of the anxid
833
00:38:55,520 --> 00:38:58,320
sometimes does occur with
834
00:38:58,320 --> 00:39:00,280
you sign up either by col
835
00:39:00,320 --> 00:39:04,720
on the roster. Um, you sh
836
00:39:04,760 --> 00:39:08,160
center, the class runs fr
837
00:39:08,200 --> 00:39:10,060
the morning, you get chec
838
00:39:10,100 --> 00:39:12,700
all the paperwork out. We
839
00:39:12,720 --> 00:39:14,960
of everybody there. We an
840
00:39:15,000 --> 00:39:17,460
class is all verbal hands
841
00:39:17,500 --> 00:39:19,840
stuff that we show from i
842
00:39:19,860 --> 00:39:22,740
all, it's all what you're
843
00:39:22,780 --> 00:39:26,480
around noon right after l
844
00:39:26,480 --> 00:39:28,860
the only, basically one o
845
00:39:28,900 --> 00:39:31,200
I call the arts and craft
846
00:39:31,220 --> 00:39:33,800
break up into tables and
847
00:39:33,820 --> 00:39:36,360
this morning about what t
848
00:39:36,400 --> 00:39:39,360
to load, unload, how to t
849
00:39:39,400 --> 00:39:41,200
between two people, how t
850
00:39:41,240 --> 00:39:44,000
it's safe. All these simp
851
00:39:44,040 --> 00:39:46,140
There's five steps to the
852
00:39:46,180 --> 00:39:47,980
we actually make it a rime
853
00:39:48,000 --> 00:39:50,240
doing it, you're doing a
854
00:39:50,280 --> 00:39:52,240
all in your memory and th
855
00:39:52,280 --> 00:39:54,620
which you end up taking h
856
00:39:54,620 --> 00:39:57,000
in class, I made like a b
857
00:39:57,040 --> 00:39:59,840
A big pictures, lots of s
858
00:39:59,860 --> 00:40:01,700
hands are doing because I
859
00:40:01,740 --> 00:40:04,780
and I want to see what I'
860
00:40:04,800 --> 00:40:06,600
So you get to take the ep
861
00:40:06,640 --> 00:40:08,980
they're on the tables as
862
00:40:09,000 --> 00:40:11,320
about, you get your own i
863
00:40:11,340 --> 00:40:13,280
and there's a few of you
864
00:40:13,320 --> 00:40:15,020
and you're going to go ov
865
00:40:15,040 --> 00:40:17,420
the revolver and the seve
866
00:40:17,460 --> 00:40:19,480
on Mac. If you're on those
867
00:40:19,520 --> 00:40:21,660
and crafts well before yo
868
00:40:21,680 --> 00:40:24,160
anything. You don't go out
869
00:40:24,160 --> 00:40:26,720
with that plastic dummy a
870
00:40:26,760 --> 00:40:29,560
long before you go outsid
871
00:40:29,580 --> 00:40:32,220
until you're ready to go
872
00:40:32,260 --> 00:40:34,800
when you go outside for t
873
00:40:34,820 --> 00:40:36,760
an hour and we're the bus
874
00:40:36,800 --> 00:40:39,460
storms. We've got a fire
875
00:40:39,500 --> 00:40:41,240
still be, I think they hav
876
00:40:41,260 --> 00:40:43,240
they'll come out, but we'
877
00:40:43,260 --> 00:40:44,600
out there and do the rang
878
00:40:44,640 --> 00:40:46,640
half does the law section
879
00:40:46,680 --> 00:40:49,740
important to know that th
880
00:40:49,780 --> 00:40:52,640
the michigan Castle docre
881
00:40:52,640 --> 00:40:54,880
law that changed back in
882
00:40:54,900 --> 00:41:00,040
learn the law of when you
883
00:41:00,080 --> 00:41:02,120
it in your home or on the
884
00:41:02,140 --> 00:41:04,420
going to be on the range
885
00:41:04,460 --> 00:41:06,180
the most fun. We call tha
886
00:41:06,220 --> 00:41:07,860
when people get worried b
887
00:41:07,880 --> 00:41:10,160
shoot. We actually, that
888
00:41:10,180 --> 00:41:11,820
you're going to shoot eve
889
00:41:11,860 --> 00:41:14,900
to a 45 and have so much
890
00:41:14,920 --> 00:41:16,560
come back in, they change
891
00:41:16,600 --> 00:41:18,460
and they're just hooting
892
00:41:18,500 --> 00:41:20,340
they were a little shakie
893
00:41:20,360 --> 00:41:22,260
nervous about going out a
894
00:41:22,260 --> 00:41:25,740
and they're just grinning
895
00:41:25,760 --> 00:41:28,160
I know throughout this, t
896
00:41:28,200 --> 00:41:30,840
principles safety and you
897
00:41:30,860 --> 00:41:32,440
the beginning of the class
898
00:41:32,480 --> 00:41:35,580
more important than lear
899
00:41:35,600 --> 00:41:37,680
handle that gun, whether
900
00:41:37,700 --> 00:41:39,880
up to practice with it, c
901
00:41:39,920 --> 00:41:42,780
it, loading and carrying
902
00:41:42,820 --> 00:41:45,680
pound that into people. A
903
00:41:45,720 --> 00:41:48,420
pretty important. And the
904
00:41:48,460 --> 00:41:51,420
they come back in, we do
905
00:41:51,420 --> 00:41:53,320
you get your certificates
906
00:41:53,360 --> 00:41:56,220
what you do with that, how
907
00:41:56,260 --> 00:41:59,320
the county clerk's office
908
00:41:59,360 --> 00:42:01,620
your application and it's
909
00:42:01,660 --> 00:42:03,400
used to be. That's the pro
910
00:42:03,420 --> 00:42:06,100
process now when you're d
911
00:42:06,140 --> 00:42:08,560
go right over that in cla
912
00:42:08,600 --> 00:42:11,700
a ton again to remove tha
913
00:42:11,740 --> 00:42:13,900
I call it a cradle to the
914
00:42:13,940 --> 00:42:16,240
process because my wife w
915
00:42:16,280 --> 00:42:18,540
the beginning, you can go
916
00:42:18,580 --> 00:42:21,180
of any of this and at the
917
00:42:21,180 --> 00:42:23,880
have a basic proficiency
918
00:42:23,900 --> 00:42:26,780
you need to do to become
919
00:42:26,820 --> 00:42:29,220
weapons, uh, carrier. That
920
00:42:29,240 --> 00:42:33,280
important. Um, so talk ag
921
00:42:33,320 --> 00:42:35,420
it once, but let's talk a
922
00:42:35,460 --> 00:42:38,160
the some of the advanced
923
00:42:38,180 --> 00:42:40,500
my class, I'm pretty comf
924
00:42:40,520 --> 00:42:43,320
I realize what a serious
925
00:42:43,360 --> 00:42:45,960
is about protecting myse
926
00:42:46,000 --> 00:42:48,860
and the possibility of, o
927
00:42:48,860 --> 00:42:51,560
life. So tell us about th
928
00:42:51,600 --> 00:42:55,560
you offer. Uh, what we di
929
00:42:55,600 --> 00:42:59,140
when we started these. Um
930
00:42:59,180 --> 00:43:00,740
two, three and four are t
931
00:43:00,780 --> 00:43:03,340
first one is called defen
932
00:43:03,380 --> 00:43:04,940
one is advanced pistol. A
933
00:43:04,980 --> 00:43:07,940
called advanced tackle. T
934
00:43:07,980 --> 00:43:12,480
simple. CPL two is a sing
935
00:43:12,520 --> 00:43:14,460
going to have four scenari
936
00:43:14,480 --> 00:43:17,460
shoot five scenarios, but
937
00:43:17,460 --> 00:43:19,840
it's basically hands and
938
00:43:19,880 --> 00:43:21,900
Uh, everyone thinks that
939
00:43:21,940 --> 00:43:23,380
a knife or a gun on you,
940
00:43:23,400 --> 00:43:25,240
just you're okay, but you
941
00:43:25,280 --> 00:43:26,940
you're the good guys who
942
00:43:26,980 --> 00:43:29,280
to the bad guys and we te
943
00:43:29,320 --> 00:43:31,180
to stand. I want you to t
944
00:43:31,220 --> 00:43:33,380
to mouth and not stand i
945
00:43:33,420 --> 00:43:36,180
in the zones and it's all
946
00:43:36,220 --> 00:43:38,160
you to step to three o'c
947
00:43:38,180 --> 00:43:40,320
So it's something you're
948
00:43:40,360 --> 00:43:42,700
Everyone knows the hands
949
00:43:42,720 --> 00:43:45,000
you how to step, how to c
950
00:43:45,020 --> 00:43:47,000
how to go to one knee, ho
951
00:43:47,000 --> 00:43:49,120
your back, have you been
952
00:43:49,160 --> 00:43:50,960
what's great about the pr
953
00:43:51,000 --> 00:43:53,100
and this from the get go
954
00:43:53,120 --> 00:43:56,200
courses is you absolutely
955
00:43:56,240 --> 00:43:58,200
I tell people you have fo
956
00:43:58,240 --> 00:44:00,300
and let's find out which
957
00:44:00,340 --> 00:44:02,840
you might think this one
958
00:44:02,880 --> 00:44:05,040
go to your everyday carry
959
00:44:05,080 --> 00:44:07,140
to find out maybe through
960
00:44:07,180 --> 00:44:09,720
test and tune that we do,
961
00:44:09,740 --> 00:44:11,380
one that's the perfect on
962
00:44:11,420 --> 00:44:14,680
carry location. We've had
963
00:44:14,680 --> 00:44:17,620
is she had the spandex uh
964
00:44:17,640 --> 00:44:20,080
reference to like a vest,
965
00:44:20,120 --> 00:44:22,060
each side and they're shor
966
00:44:22,080 --> 00:44:24,620
spots to put it and she w
967
00:44:24,660 --> 00:44:27,100
put everywhere she wanted
968
00:44:27,120 --> 00:44:29,300
through this and most rang
969
00:44:29,320 --> 00:44:31,200
you to draw. That's right
970
00:44:31,220 --> 00:44:33,060
to bring host her to tho
971
00:44:33,100 --> 00:44:34,800
the range down for this t
972
00:44:34,840 --> 00:44:38,940
we're proud. We're the on
973
00:44:38,960 --> 00:44:43,140
that's doing um civilian
974
00:44:43,140 --> 00:44:45,600
classes and once you, on
975
00:44:45,640 --> 00:44:49,780
one and it's a three hour
976
00:44:49,800 --> 00:44:52,940
once you take $50 for a 3
977
00:44:52,980 --> 00:44:55,480
$50. Yeah, we're not in th
978
00:44:55,520 --> 00:44:59,220
cheap. I know it's we're
979
00:44:59,240 --> 00:45:01,280
get the most out of this
980
00:45:01,320 --> 00:45:04,720
walk away being what I ca
981
00:45:04,760 --> 00:45:06,460
a partner to the law enfo
982
00:45:06,480 --> 00:45:08,420
to us knowing that I got
983
00:45:08,460 --> 00:45:10,760
that's going to do good o
984
00:45:10,760 --> 00:45:13,460
training to succeed and c
985
00:45:13,480 --> 00:45:15,360
fight, not just survive a
986
00:45:15,400 --> 00:45:19,060
rail and the CPL three, y
987
00:45:19,100 --> 00:45:22,160
class and it's too bad. T
988
00:45:22,200 --> 00:45:23,740
are staggered in distance
989
00:45:23,760 --> 00:45:26,300
barricades now and all of
990
00:45:26,340 --> 00:45:28,380
the verbal commands that
991
00:45:28,400 --> 00:45:32,000
put the gun down, call 9
992
00:45:32,040 --> 00:45:33,980
things are burned into yo
993
00:45:34,000 --> 00:45:36,540
class, you're learning th
994
00:45:36,580 --> 00:45:38,820
like you said before, the
995
00:45:38,820 --> 00:45:41,400
I'm going to step and draw
996
00:45:41,440 --> 00:45:44,240
I'm going to all my movme
997
00:45:44,260 --> 00:45:46,040
and it's really easy. I'v
998
00:45:46,060 --> 00:45:49,100
80s taking this and they
999
00:45:49,140 --> 00:45:51,100
you'll even find out that
1000
00:45:51,140 --> 00:45:54,540
for $50. We offer them al
1001
00:45:54,580 --> 00:45:57,440
year. Anytime you retake a
1002
00:45:57,480 --> 00:46:00,320
I got guys taking up $25.
1003
00:46:00,340 --> 00:46:03,260
back. I've got well, you
1004
00:46:03,280 --> 00:46:04,720
perspective, you're invest
1005
00:46:04,760 --> 00:46:07,860
county. You guys are our
1006
00:46:07,860 --> 00:46:10,160
and you're having an impa
1007
00:46:10,180 --> 00:46:14,220
it legally right safely.
1008
00:46:14,260 --> 00:46:16,260
actually for the police d
1009
00:46:16,300 --> 00:46:19,260
have enough of them out t
1010
00:46:19,300 --> 00:46:21,440
And then there's is that,
1011
00:46:21,460 --> 00:46:23,700
four class and then once
1012
00:46:23,740 --> 00:46:26,840
you successfully complete
1013
00:46:26,880 --> 00:46:29,180
a shoot house style where
1014
00:46:29,200 --> 00:46:30,980
You have to, you have to
1015
00:46:31,000 --> 00:46:33,480
two classes to get the in
1016
00:46:33,520 --> 00:46:36,780
four is a, it's a basicall
1017
00:46:36,780 --> 00:46:38,040
and then there's going to
1018
00:46:38,080 --> 00:46:41,080
shoot targets and and we'v
1019
00:46:41,120 --> 00:46:43,640
that is a lot of fun. You
1020
00:46:43,680 --> 00:46:46,720
Oh boy. Yeah, I went throu
1021
00:46:46,760 --> 00:46:50,120
entries, live, live fire
1022
00:46:50,160 --> 00:46:52,920
popsicle targets getting
1023
00:46:52,960 --> 00:46:54,960
off the bat, everybody get
1024
00:46:55,000 --> 00:46:57,400
it's the thing. It's, it'
1025
00:46:57,420 --> 00:46:59,160
like, wait a minute, let's
1026
00:46:59,200 --> 00:47:02,160
it's a lot. I remember po
1027
00:47:02,200 --> 00:47:05,040
critical police shootings
1028
00:47:05,040 --> 00:47:07,980
involved and they had a v
1029
00:47:08,020 --> 00:47:10,760
local pastor was really b
1030
00:47:10,780 --> 00:47:12,360
Department. The police dep
1031
00:47:12,380 --> 00:47:15,120
invited them to that tact
1032
00:47:15,160 --> 00:47:18,120
the, they put the pastor
1033
00:47:18,160 --> 00:47:21,900
pulled his gun like uh, D
1034
00:47:21,940 --> 00:47:25,700
the actor when he was not
1035
00:47:25,740 --> 00:47:27,700
he got scared that that p
1036
00:47:27,740 --> 00:47:31,140
him like he was way, he w
1037
00:47:31,180 --> 00:47:34,040
to being in a justified s
1038
00:47:34,040 --> 00:47:36,800
was, was an eye opener. A
1039
00:47:36,840 --> 00:47:38,740
the name of it, but you o
1040
00:47:38,780 --> 00:47:42,540
ongoing protection and I
1041
00:47:42,580 --> 00:47:45,480
attention. This is huge b
1042
00:47:45,520 --> 00:47:48,180
training and the trauma a
1043
00:47:48,220 --> 00:47:50,380
having to use your gun. I
1044
00:47:50,420 --> 00:47:53,120
there, goodness gracious,
1045
00:47:53,160 --> 00:47:55,520
might just be beginning.
1046
00:47:55,560 --> 00:47:57,960
That's correct. Anytime t
1047
00:47:58,000 --> 00:48:01,060
your weapon or what's gre
1048
00:48:01,100 --> 00:48:03,040
we're with, we're with ri
1049
00:48:03,040 --> 00:48:05,080
called protect with bear,
1050
00:48:05,120 --> 00:48:07,220

1051
00:48:07,240 --> 00:48:09,420
amendment lawyer group. Y
1052
00:48:09,460 --> 00:48:11,680
that you joined through o
1053
00:48:11,720 --> 00:48:13,680
center, we've partnered w
1054
00:48:13,720 --> 00:48:17,160
core value of these guys
1055
00:48:17,200 --> 00:48:21,460
to court as almost the ba
1056
00:48:21,500 --> 00:48:23,300
look to if you carry a gon
1057
00:48:23,340 --> 00:48:25,300
you're looking for trouble
1058
00:48:25,340 --> 00:48:27,700
look up the, they're gonna
1059
00:48:27,740 --> 00:48:30,740
you ever put on facebook.
1060
00:48:30,740 --> 00:48:34,300
you put, yeah, no, yeah,
1061
00:48:34,340 --> 00:48:36,180
breaking into a house, th
1062
00:48:36,200 --> 00:48:38,740
up and dig that up and sh
1063
00:48:38,780 --> 00:48:41,480
there to cause trouble. A
1064
00:48:41,520 --> 00:48:46,180
with law enforcement as a
1065
00:48:46,220 --> 00:48:48,660
are fired or fist or thr
1066
00:48:48,680 --> 00:48:52,060
used. Remember the police
1067
00:48:52,080 --> 00:48:54,260
collecting information, t
1068
00:48:54,300 --> 00:48:57,400
evidence. He said, she sa
1069
00:48:57,420 --> 00:48:59,160
the bat, you're the one w
1070
00:48:59,160 --> 00:49:01,000
So they're going to take
1071
00:49:01,020 --> 00:49:02,200
going to take that into e
1072
00:49:02,220 --> 00:49:03,600
take statements from every
1073
00:49:03,620 --> 00:49:05,460
a high chance that you're
1074
00:49:05,500 --> 00:49:08,940
Uh, maybe not so much in
1075
00:49:08,960 --> 00:49:11,140
inside always in this com
1076
00:49:11,160 --> 00:49:12,940
want to get political. But
1077
00:49:12,980 --> 00:49:16,000
please do. If you're in t
1078
00:49:16,040 --> 00:49:18,940
you're going to probably s
1079
00:49:18,980 --> 00:49:20,920
You're going to have to ha
1080
00:49:20,940 --> 00:49:23,380
that's not the time you w
1081
00:49:23,420 --> 00:49:25,880
I get the phone book and c
1082
00:49:25,920 --> 00:49:27,780
not that that's you should
1083
00:49:27,780 --> 00:49:29,320
out of time. And that's w
1084
00:49:29,340 --> 00:49:32,780
for us. Uh, you join this
1085
00:49:32,820 --> 00:49:36,860
they, this uh, civil case
1086
00:49:36,880 --> 00:49:39,620
unlimited lawyer, unlimited
1087
00:49:39,660 --> 00:49:41,860
expert witnesses are cove
1088
00:49:41,900 --> 00:49:44,300
a whole list of things th
1089
00:49:44,320 --> 00:49:46,200
they basically become your
1090
00:49:46,240 --> 00:49:48,340
lawyer in your pocket, yo
1091
00:49:48,360 --> 00:49:49,960
tell you what to do. They
1092
00:49:50,000 --> 00:49:52,000
a thing by your phone when
1093
00:49:52,040 --> 00:49:55,100
what to say to 911. Wow.
1094
00:49:55,140 --> 00:49:56,580
police officer on the back
1095
00:49:56,580 --> 00:49:58,460
going to invoke your fourth
1096
00:49:58,500 --> 00:50:01,020
and people got to remember
1097
00:50:01,060 --> 00:50:03,360
to remain silent is exactl
1098
00:50:03,400 --> 00:50:06,260
a right. Right. It is your
1099
00:50:06,300 --> 00:50:09,700
and use it. Um, you can't
1100
00:50:09,740 --> 00:50:11,840
the first quarter, but you
1101
00:50:11,880 --> 00:50:15,000
it. That's a, that's a gre
1102
00:50:15,040 --> 00:50:18,380
So you know, wait and spe
1103
00:50:18,420 --> 00:50:21,640
be respectable and say, h
1104
00:50:21,680 --> 00:50:23,320
I need to make a statement
1105
00:50:23,340 --> 00:50:25,380
make a statement when my l
1106
00:50:25,380 --> 00:50:27,520
on their way. Soon as you
1107
00:50:27,540 --> 00:50:29,220
right to bears on the ran
1108
00:50:29,240 --> 00:50:31,280
guys are specialists. This
1109
00:50:31,320 --> 00:50:33,120
that wants to do some crim
1110
00:50:33,160 --> 00:50:35,860
guys do nothing but that.
1111
00:50:35,880 --> 00:50:37,820
your, leaving your gun in
1112
00:50:37,860 --> 00:50:39,860
somebody grab it and you k
1113
00:50:39,900 --> 00:50:42,800
and they're covering from
1114
00:50:42,820 --> 00:50:45,600
to an incident where you'r
1115
00:50:45,640 --> 00:50:49,940
So, um, and we all my staf
1116
00:50:49,960 --> 00:50:52,900
push it in our class becau
1117
00:50:52,940 --> 00:50:54,740
not to carry your gun beca
1118
00:50:54,740 --> 00:50:57,140
what ifs? Well, I'm going
1119
00:50:57,160 --> 00:50:58,940
if I do this, what if I'm
1120
00:50:58,980 --> 00:51:00,900
it. Now you're risking yo
1121
00:51:00,940 --> 00:51:02,740
worried about what might
1122
00:51:02,780 --> 00:51:05,540
these guys worry about an
1123
00:51:05,580 --> 00:51:08,220

insurance, insurance on o

00:51:12,220 --> 00:51:14,580
our boat and everything.
1127
00:51:14,620 --> 00:51:17,520
a really small insurance
1128
00:51:17,560 --> 00:51:20,920
that could not only, you
1129
00:51:20,960 --> 00:51:22,460
and death, you're talking
1130
00:51:22,500 --> 00:51:23,760
freedom. You're talking a
1131
00:51:23,760 --> 00:51:27,720
it wrong, say the wrong t
1132
00:51:27,760 --> 00:51:30,360
or whatever. You could en
1133
00:51:30,400 --> 00:51:33,160
not, I don't ever want to
1134
00:51:33,200 --> 00:51:37,040
carrying, but you need to
1135
00:51:37,060 --> 00:51:39,440
to me like from what I'm
1136
00:51:39,480 --> 00:51:43,280
if I'm a citizen and I us
1137
00:51:43,300 --> 00:51:45,880
defense situation, there'
1138
00:51:45,920 --> 00:51:48,440
to do. First thing I need
1139
00:51:48,480 --> 00:51:50,620
the police politely. You
1140
00:51:50,620 --> 00:51:54,900
jerk that I'm invoking my
1141
00:51:54,940 --> 00:51:58,840
right. And, um, and I'm,
1142
00:51:58,860 --> 00:52:00,440
attorney, you know, make
1143
00:52:00,480 --> 00:52:03,040
connection and there's no
1144
00:52:03,080 --> 00:52:06,820
for $13 a month is, is c
1145
00:52:06,840 --> 00:52:08,480
Yeah. And you can actually
1146
00:52:08,520 --> 00:52:10,720
which is even less. And w
1147
00:52:10,740 --> 00:52:13,420
cave, it's pro rated. So
1148
00:52:13,440 --> 00:52:16,160
don't want it or it's no
1149
00:52:16,180 --> 00:52:19,460
So it's, it's, uh, you ca
1150
00:52:19,460 --> 00:52:21,180
can go online or you can
1151
00:52:21,220 --> 00:52:23,220
you can add certain prote
