درباره این اپیزود
In this episode, we sit down with Sharon Julya, an architect at IBUKU Studio in Bali, to explore the groundbreaking work done with bamboo by one of the world’s most innovative and sustainable architecture firms. Founded by Elora Hardy in 2010, IBUKU began as a personal experiment with bamboo’s potential and has since blossomed into a global movement that challenges conventional thinking about architecture, design, and materiality.
Sharon takes us through IBUKU's unique approach, where bamboo is not just a building material but a medium for creativity, cultural respect, and environmental consciousness. We delve into how the studio works with local communities, embraces sustainable practices, and redefines what it means to design for the future.
Note for the audience: This episode, recorded in person at IBUKU Studio in Bali, takes place barefoot and under the stunning bamboo roof of the studio itself.
