In the latest installment of the Allison Interviews Podcast, journalist and host Allison Kugel talks with Academy Award, Golden Globe Award and Tony Award-nominated actress of stage and screen, June Squibb. After nearly seven decades steadily working on the stage, television, and films including the 1990 Woody Allen film, Alice and 2002’s About Schmidt starring Jack Nichelson, June’s breakthrough role came in 2013 when she starred alongside Bruce Dern in the Oscar-nominated film Nebraska for which she was nominated for a 2014 Academy Award. Notable roles in Toy Story 4, and the lead roles in 2024’s Thelma, and 2025’s Eleanor the Great followed. In late 2025, June Squibb came full circle, returning to her Broadway roots in Marjorie Prime, playing the title character for which she was nominated for a Tony Award.
June will soon appear in the fourth and final season of the Showtime and Paramount+ series, Yellowjackets. She also hosts and narratives the hit Oxygen true crime series, Killer Grannies.
