You directed the Ballot of Judas Priest, which just gets its debut next month in Berlin. Uh. You launched your new Fender guitar. Another Vender guitar, uh, which my husband wants, by the way, gosh, I mean, how do you your heart's in the right place, and it's in so many places. How do you have time to work on the new music? Like? Are we getting another Atlas Underground?

Speaker 3: The first Tom Morello solo rock album, A record that will both incorporate the My song everything Burns Will Be is from that somewhat of a preview of that record, though it has the collaboration with Beartooth, which I greatly enjoy, but a record that will both encapsulate the riffage, the Morellian.
00:02:35
Speaker 2: Riffage of the sort of rage against the machine.
00:02:37
Speaker 3: Audio slave world, but then also the you know, the darkness on the edge of town, Bob Dylan of it all that I'm also a very big fan of today.

00:02:53
Speaker 1: The New York Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have these stupid useless tidbits in my.

00:03:39
Speaker 3: There was another show that night, and we didn't want to, you know, kick anybody off the bill, and uh, you know, we wanted to. We wanted we wanted to do it, and also on supportive on this day, you know, with the national strike and all of that. It was like we wanted to sort of integrate the show into the protests in Minneapolis. All all eyes are in Minneapolis, and you know, it's been a while since I've played in Minneapolis, and I really can't wait to get back to First Avenue.
00:04:03
Speaker 2: You know, it is the it is the house where you.
00:04:06
Speaker 3: Know prints conjured the revolution and now it's your generation's turn.
00:04:13
Speaker 1: It's so exciting to see it all play out. And I just feel it, man, I feel I feel a movement that's happening. I'm happy that you're a part of it. I'm happy that we can fight the power during working hours. I'm just like, let's give me a matinee. I would like a rock star matinee.
00:04:30

00:05:00
Speaker 3: It's an honor to become in your city, you know, like it's a it's it really is. It's a meaningful time in our country's history and in whatever your vocation, standing up for what you believe in.
00:05:10
Speaker 2: It's it's kind of a now or never moment right now.
00:05:12
Speaker 3: And so whether you're a musician, whether you are a radio host, whether you are someone listening who's a teacher or a carpenter or whatever, it's really all hands on deck right now.
00:05:22
Speaker 2: There's a lot at stake everything.
00:05:24
Speaker 1: I love this quote from you. I ripped it from some interview you did a long time ago. You said you are a historical agent, and if you don't have your hands on the steering wheel, somebody else does. And I just think.
00:05:36
Speaker 2: By that I stand by.
00:05:37
Speaker 1: It so applicable to Minnesota. They've always been ahead of the curve. And you know, I'm I am honored, we are honored to have you tomorrow, stick around, stay as long as you'd like, I can.

Is a is a very young man in that venue, and so here we are X number of years later you know, you know, still still coming back to one of the world's greatest venues, one of my favorite places to play uh and some of my favorite people to play for at a very very important moment in the country's history.
00:06:26

I really got a hand it to the people who raise their hands and are willing to, like at a no notice, to drop everything and come. So for Rise against, for Ike Riley, for Al Daimola, and for my band and all the crew who got together.
