“Pausecast”

Welcome to Polyrical, People Are Revolting and You Can’t Be Neutral. I am releasing this episode simultaneously on all of my active podcasts because this is a Pausecast.

For a variety of reasons, but mostly my need for a break, I am pausing regular releases of Polyrical, People Are Revolting and You Can’t Be Neutral.

You can continue to find all of the available prior releases of each individual show website or at MovingTrainMedia.com

I am really proud of all of the episodes of each of these shows and my previously paused program Frack You Very Much. FrackYouVeryMuch.com

Polyrical started with my love for political music. From hearing Depeche Mode singing People are People and Bruce Cockburn singing If I Had a Rocket Launcher and understanding that music could be more than a catchy tune and that our times, like all times, demand that it be more. I am proud to have taken the initiative and taken on the cost to share over 3,300 songs from more than 1000 artists with all of you. Find the available back episodes at Polyrical.cpm

People Are Revolting started with a quote from Jim Hightower, who said, People Are Revolting In the Very Best Sense of that Word. Protests are happening every day for a wide variety of reasons and too few people are hearing about them. Some protests are individual and some are engaged in by millions, and each one is important. I am proud to have been able to collect and share forward the stories of 2400 of these protests over the past few years. You can find the back episodes of People are Revolting at PeopleAreRevolting.com.

You Can’t Be Neutral was the final form of a podcast that started as Bernie 2016, then became Bernie 2020, then became Howie 2020, before becoming You Can’t Be Neutral. YCBN was where I could cover anything, and was sometimes a collection of short pieces on different topics and was sometimes a long piece, or even multiple episodes, reading out an ICJ order, or a Human Rights report. It was a place where I could spend a couple of hours reading the names of all of the identified babies that had been killed by Israel in the genocide of Gaza up to a certain date. I am very proud of what I was able to share with all of you in You Can’t Be Neutral. You can find back episodes of You Can’t Be Neutral at Youcantbeneutral.com

I want to say a special thank you to my one regular financial supporter. Knowing you were out there and that you appreciated what I was creating has been a consistent help.

Again, this is not an Endcast. It is a Pausecast. I won’t promise to return at a specific time or date, but I will promise that if I come across something compelling enough to move me to release a new episode of any of these shows, I will release it.

And you will find it in your feed or with all my other efforts such as occasional writing, Frack You Very Much, From the River to the Sea Palestine will be Free, A People’s Future, and AIsbestos at MovingTrainMedia.com

Also at Moving Train Media you will find this from Caitlin Johnstone
“If you’ve got any urge to write articles or make videos or a podcast, just do it. You’re infinitely more qualified to be the media than people who are paid by billionaires to lie, and they’re not asking anyone for permission to speak. If Chris fucking Cuomo gets a voice, then so do you.
You don’t have to be perfect or professional quality or whatever; hell, give yourself permission to outright suck at first if that’s how it plays out. Give yourself permission to not be perfect and just learn as you go and correct your mistakes as you make them. That’s allowed. Again, no matter how bad you are you’re still infinitely more qualified to report the news and tell the truth than any of the shitstains who are being platformed by multibillion-dollar media outlets right now, and whatever you make will be better than what they make. Just do it.
Don’t stop if you don’t get a big audience right away, or if you never do. It’s not about that. If you can open even one person’s eyes to one aspect of reality, you are helping humanity to become a more conscious species by that much. That’s what it’s about. That’s what matters. And even if you don’t do that, fleshing out your ideas in some public medium is a great way to help yourself become aware of more things and deepen your own understanding, so you’re still improving humanity by that much. So no matter what happens you can’t lose.
If we’re ever to turn things around it will be the result of a very large number of us grabbing a rope and tugging. You don’t have to be a megastar, you just have to do your bit. Start from there and see what happens.”
